Thank you love for your kind words.
Funny you mention this, but it does feel like the winds of change.
Something is happening. People are not only starting to see but they are also starting to say. Are they just opening their eyes coming to these new realisations, or are they finally allowing themselves to acknowledge things they noticed before and say them out loud? What changed? I'd say a rhetorical question at that. It's not that JM and JK weren't loud over the years. Constantly trying to show us all what they meant to each other, what they felt for each other. Saying that, there was always the deniability there. Always allowing for those who wanted to, or those that didn't want to 'assume', to write it off as 'something', as anything else but two young men in love with each other. Because, how could that be? With the industry that doesn't allow dating. With a homophobic society. With the hypocrisy of "we don't want to assume they are gay but at the same time we are assuming they aren't".
But ever since the announcement of them enlisting together things have started to shift. It is huge. No argument. And as much as there were those that tried to diminish from it, with "they are only doing basic training together", or "they won't be serving the whole time together", or "they both have different duties so they don't really see each other much and anyway JK's a cook so he is in different dorms", or whatever other bullshit they came up with, both JM and JK had made sure to prove them all wrong. Not only do we know they serve in the same base, but then they came to make sure and clarify that they spend their spare time together, they sing together, shower together, sing in the shower together, share a room, share future life conversations, and the latest was JM's reply on Weverse to a fan asking if JK was there with him, with a kind of, and this is not a direct translation but the gist of it: "sure he is, duh". And let it sink in for a sec that this was him posting mid-day on a Friday. So whichever way you look at it, they are spending their time off together. Quelle surprise... NOT!!
And then we had AYS. And anyone that has eyes and half a brain, and doesn't bathe in JM or JK hatred or homophobia, could clearly see just how much those two love each other, what they mean to each other, how much chemistry they have, how intimate they are with each other. And when you see that, when you are willing to open you eyes, that could be an awakening moment.
Add those two and WOW!!
I'm not even talking about the plant gift.
That one was more a Karmy a-ha moment and one for us Jikookers to revel in as well.
Anyway, all this is me saying that I do believe you are right. People are seeing it. You know who else is seeing it? Those that most definitely don't want to see it, lol. And that is also why we are experiencing wave after wave of mostly JM (and his dad) hate. They just cannot contain themselves. All I will say is: Fuck them. Kind of think this to be a sentiment shared by JK and JM as well at this point.
As for JK having a thing for JM's feet or legs... Hmm...
I think JK has a thing for all of JM.
No, not a cop out here, lol.
He definitely has a thing for his butt.

But, no pun intended, he does also adore JM's feet.
And legs. Especially when they are nice and smooth...
Lol, gotta love those two.💜💜
49 days to go!!!
Clock is ticking, but in the best way ever.

More thoughts on Lucanis x Neve romance, from a Rookanis enjoyer, with love.
(Grab a snack. This is long.)
What I'll be focusing on in this post: Extra info and fun facts about Lucanis and Spite that I have gathered during my playthroughs. The consistency of Lucanis' writing between his romatic relationships with Rook and Neve. Addressing some criticism I've seen to be common. These are my thoughts and opinions.
As I said in my previous post about this topic, I enjoy seeing affectionate Lucanis from the external perspective, because it gives me more insight into his character. Of course, this isn't restricted to just romance, but that's what I want to focus on in this post. (It's too long as it is.) I also have to admit that I'm not exactly a Nevecanis shipper myself (not a big shipper in general), because I simply prefer romancing these characters myself, but I do think that it's a good thing that in my other playthroughs where I explore other options, besides my favourite, Lucanis has someone to make him happy, and I can personally think of nobody better for it than Neve, and Neve also deserves the world. I think it's good that they decided to pair some characters up, when unromanced, so that the group is more lively and doesn't feel like Rook's harem. Also, I tend to reblog whatever artwork of these characters that I like, regardless of whether I'm personally into the pairings or not, and regardless of whether they're possible in the game. Whatever you ship, we're good. As long as we're having fun. But that's beside the point of this post. I'm rambling already.
In my previous post, I ended my commentary with my thoughts about the dialogue cutscene that happens right after Inner Demons, where Rook finds Lucanis preparing dessert either for them or for Neve, depending on whether Rook romances him or not, and the similarities and differences of how each is handled and how each relationship develops until that point.
One thing that I didn't really touch upon is that if Rook saves Minrathous instead of Treviso, we don't get to do the Inner Demons quest, but we still get the dessert scene. So, only briefly. As most of us probably know by now, if Rook sacrifices Lucanis' home, they are cut off from his romance. Neve is not. I'm not going to delve deep into the nuance of that here. Suffice to say that Lucanis is in a vulnerable place after the Ossuary, almost a full year of physical and psychological torture, he's struggling for control of his own body with what most would consider a demon, he thinks his grandmother is dead. His abuser is still somewhere out there. He only has revenge, Treviso, and Illario left, and his cousin acts damn weird, on top of it all. If Rook makes the decision that also dooms his home, it understandably breaks his heart, even if he realizes that Rook is not to blame for what happened. He's lost pretty much everything at that point. (By the way, have you seen blighted Treviso? That place is utterly fucked. I don't think many people could process that in a healthy way.) Meanwhile Neve is in the same position as him when that choice occurs and is just as dependent on Rook's decision as he is. She is ultimately also not the one that makes the decision. It makes sense that he bonds with her over it rather than with Rook. (No, I don't care if you use a mod to make the romance happen anyway. Private mod use is none of my business.) I'm definitely not saying that one choice is better than the other, of couse. They're two different flavours of terrible. Neve is also hurt by the decision to sacrifice her home town, but she's also tragically used to struggling against the system alone and to people not showing up, and it feels like she still has at least something to hold onto. Minrathous is in terrible state and the future of the whole country looks grim, nobody knows what the consequences will be, but at the very least Dock Town stands. Hal is alive and selling treats. Some of the little people she cares about are still there. Neve's a different person with different problems to solve, and she can still find it in her heart to fall for Rook, which is amazing. But anyway...
---
What other sweet and interesting things have I learned from their romance?
Lucanis can recognize Rook by the sound of their footsteps.
We know that from walking in on him in Neve's office where he's alone, waiting for her.
Spite yells at him to talk to his sweetheart!
By saying, "Well, not just Spite," Lucanis is definitely referring to himself here. He wants to try and be more open about his feelings and Spite clearly tries to motivate him to be more proactive.
You can bet Spite yells at him to talk to Rook, as well.
Either way, we find out that Spite is supportive of Lucanis' relationship and even encourages him to act on his feelings. (Seriously, Lucanis beating around the bush must be so frustrating for a spirit of Determination.) I think that from this we can safely say that Spite also likes Neve. Enough to encourage Lucanis to court her.
Of course, we already know that Spite likes Rook a lot, and I imagine that most of us Rookanis lovers already headcanon Spite pestering Lucanis to express his feelings for Rook anyway. Or something similar. However, I don't think it's actually confirmed during a playthrough where Rook romances Lucanis. So, here, Spite canonicaly yells at Lucanis to woo his love interest.
A lot more yapping under the cut.
Once again, in this scene we see how Lucanis doesn't really have a lot of confidence in himself in this department. He keeps mentioning how he's not really good at sweet talk, which is very much in line with what he says during the previous scene where we catch him preparing the dessert before. In total, he says something to that effect at least 3 or 4 times in the game - that all he knows is knives and coffee, that he's not the charming type, that he isn't good with words, etc. (That's not what I personally think about him, but that's what he obviously thinks about himself.) He's not beating the wet cat allegations any time soon.
As I said in my previous post already, I noticed that some consider Lucanis' writing to be inconsistent between his romance with Rook and Neve. And we're all entitled to our opinions, of course. But I'd like to explain why I do not think that is true. Again, that is my perspective and my opinion.
There is one variable here that is not often taken into account here, and that is Rook. Well, two, actually. Because I think we also need to keep in mind that the scene where Lucanis' romance with Neve locks in happens quite some time after Inner Demons and the scene that occurs right afterwards where we catch Lucanis preparing the dessert. In that scene, he is still very much a wet cat, regardless of whether he's preparing the dessert to woo Rook or whether it's for Neve. (Not a bad thing to remember here is that falling for somebody seems to be rare enough for Lucanis, as he's never been in a relationship before, and he has already once before been rejected after trying to court somebody with a gift.)
First of all, if Rook is not present during the follow-up scene where the lock-in for Lucanis and Neve is supposed to happen, if the player for some reason decides to skip it, Lucanis does not express his interest to Neve and, tragically, may later regret this, should something happen to her. It makes sense that he would still have feelings for her, even if he never confessed. Love doesn't go away like that, just because you never put it into words. Also, I know this is a video game mechanic, but I still consider it part of his characterization that he needs his partner to either be very perceptive (like Rook during the scene after Inner Demons) or in this case get cornered a little to actually express his feelings in this complicated phase of his life. It makes sense when you look at how this scene plays out. Rook being there for the start of his romance with Neve is important - either it puts him a bit more at ease, or more on the spot, or a litte bit of both. Either way, it helps them work it out. (It also makes sense that it is Rook that basically spells it out to the player during the previous scene, after Inner Demons, that Lucanis has made a dessert specifically for them, if romanced, because they understand him and what he's trying to say, but the player may not, because Lucanis tends to deflect and put himself and his efforts down. He clearly has a lot of insecurity in this department and Rook is good at untangling it.)
As I also mentioned in my previous post, it's clear that when Lucanis made the first dessert, he clearly didn't express his feelings for Neve then, because... well, we get their romance lock-in here, in this scene, so much later. (I got this scene after Blood of Arlathan. That's pretty late in the game.) Neve also explicitly states that this is the second time he's made her favourite kind of pie.
With Rook, they figured it out and officially started dating on Lucanis' first try. (Or the first pie? Haha.) However, with Neve, this is his second attempt to express his feelings. This is one of the reasons why I think Lucanis' writing is consistent, and why I previously said that his romance with Neve may actually be slower than with Rook. They take longer to actually start dating and Lucanis is very much a wet cat all the way until this point.
And even in this scene, you can see that Lucanis drops the treat and coffee in Neve's office and is almost ready to evacuate again!
He just... keeps saying that.
That's so him. The Demon of Vyrantium, the legendary slayer of blood mages and Venatori, the master assassin, the demon-powered killing machine that made a near immortal eldrich horror bleed, on the verge of retreat... from his love interest, because he may know how to kill a man with his bare hands in a hundred different ways, but sweet talk? Nah, that's scary.
Except this time, Rook is there to provide emotional support (or peer pressure, haha). They already know all about his feelings for Neve. Especially if the Inner Demons quest occurs. And they can so tattle on him, if you so choose. Each of those options is pretty cute and/or funny.
No, I'm making you look great. You'll just have to trust me on this, Lucanis.
But most importantly, seeing Lucanis getting tangled in this situation, Neve finally says something. Either she finally figures it out, or more likely she just finally acknowledges it. She's a seasoned detective. She observes people all the time. Of course she would notice that he's trying to treat her special. However, from Neve's romance, we also know that she herself struggles with her own issues, namely with letting people close, so this is a significant step for her, as well. It makes sense that it takes them longer to bond, when Lucanis struggles to express his feelings and Neve tries to avoid catching feelings, or at least acting on them, for fear of things going wrong. And while Neve's bonding with Rook shows more of her internal struggle to let herself finally have something, we have to simply accept that the companions simply aren't and can't be as front as centre as the protagonist in such a game, so we can't delve into their inner workings as deeply in that case. (Funny, though, how I've never once seen anyone say that Neve's writing here is inconsistent. Almost as if it only matters when it's our Antivan male lover...) There are always going to be differences in how characters are handled in companion x companion romance vs protagonist x companion romance. Their romance is very much side content that's supposed to make them feel a little more real. It's also worth noting that Rook's lock-in scene with both Neve and Lucanis happens way earlier than this scene between them. But here, they both had a lot of time to let their feelings stew, so they can finally reach this point. However, Neve still warns him that she's not going to make his life easy. A light reference to what happens when you romance her with Rook.
I've seen some upset over the fact that we learn that Lucanis hangs out with Neve at night if he courts her, as if he doesn't with Rook. But we already know this from Lucanis' romance with Rook! Remember?

We know that Lucanis and Rook hang out together around midnight, as well! That's not new information, but I wanted to include it, because I do think (and will keep repeating that) Lucanis' writing is pretty consistent between the two romances. Lucanis loves to be around his partner. We know that from both his romances.
This is what he further says about Rook when romanced.

Which means that he will likely sit nearby like a content cat while Rook sorts out and reads their mail out loud for both of them or whatever. He doesn't care what they're up to. He wants to be there with them. It's implied that Rook and Lucanis read together. "Nearing midnight: Reading," only appears in that particular entry of his log book when he's romanced. They stay up at night to spend time together, as he also writes down in his log book. And it makes him happy, "just being around them", which you know not only from his words but also the tone of his voice when he talks about it in that banter.
Anyway. Because Neve finally acknowledges that Lucanis is clearly trying to spend time with her for a reason and admits that "maybe" she likes that (The woman also can't express her feelings to save her life, bless her.), Lucanis is pleasantly surprised (He says, "Really?" and sounds happily taken aback.) and responds warmly and enthusiastically afterwards, because of course he does. Because IS THIS SUCCESS??? LET'S GO! He gets giddy about it, and it's cute.
Neve.exe briefly stops working. Then tries to play it cool. Nothing to see here.
Encouraged by his unexpected success (He was almost about to run away!), he musters a bit of charm here, haha. From the coffee date with Rook early in the game and the scene where he almost kisses them when romanced, we know he has it in him, but at this point in the game he doesn't really seem to believe it himself. He repeats it over and over. He tells that to Emmrich at least twice. ("I don't know what [Rook] sees in me," is sort of a sad thing for him to say when you think about it, honestly, and when you look at his romance lock-in with Rook, it's a pattern. He doesn't believe he has much to offer.) He tells that to Rook when not romanced. He says it in this very scene. Yes, he's an adult. He knows what flirting is and what it entails. We all know he can pull it off. Whatever. But he clearly doesn't seem to believe that he can do it, or that he's good with words, and seems to be more comfortable expressing himself in other ways, especially at first. However, now that he knows that the person he cares for actually likes him back, too? Hell, yeah, he's unstoppable now. Heh, sort of anyway. When you think about it, his charm here and elsewhere, for most of the game actually, comes from him being earnest, not suave. Just him being himself. I think that's demonstrated on the couple of lines above. Telling Neve that she makes his life better and that he hopes he has more charm than this is not some killer move. It's just him being honest and enthusiastic after finding out she actually likes him back, and that ends up being sweeter and more charming than whatever flirt line anybody could possibly come up with. It also seems to me that once he knows that the affection is mutual, he does turn into a sweet talker, as we see on his later interactions with both Rook and Neve. But he does it in his own way.
Once again, it's important to remember that this happens quite late in the game. This is not the scene after the ordeal of Inner Demons where he prepares the first dessert, still rattled. This is possibly after all his quests have been resolved, his grandmother saved, etc. (For me, that is the case anyway.) This is why Lucanis' demeanor here is a bit more relaxed in general.
I do not think that means that his writing is inconsistent. We merely see another side of him under different circumstances.
---
Now, I'd also like to talk about some of the banters they have together afterwards, because there's some fun information there, and they're also what I've seen some complaints about.
To me, the "inconsistencies" boil down to interpretation. Simply put, it depends on whether you can imagine two adults spending quality time together without having sex.
If somebody likes to interpret the banters as Lucanis and Neve being that intimate, I think that's perfectly fine... unless they also get super upset about it and make it a whole problem. I think the banters are written in a way that let's you interpret them how you please, which in Lucanis' case is a great choice, in my opinion. As far as I'm concerned, they handled it well.
It's sort of what a lot of us do while romancing him with Rook, as well, because there's enough space left for interpretation. While Lucanis' dialogue cutscenes with Rook are mostly tame, there's also enough space for the player to headcanon whatever level of intimacy they please for the rest of the game, because there's nothing to confirm or deny that.
Personally, for my own playthrough, I like to imagine that Rook and Lucanis share those shy, fleeting touches Isabela mentions after they officially start dating, share their first kiss after Lucanis' last quest/outing, and slowly get more physically intimate overtime, but make love for the first time after Tearstone Island, like it is in the game. So, as far as I'm concerned, I already have this idea of (slowly) intensifying intimacy with time for Rook and Lucanis. That's how I personally like it, and I think that any other headcanon people come up with for their own playthrough that pleases them is great - whether they imagine that Lucanis and Rook don't get intimate at all until the bedscene happens in the game, or that they break his cot in the pantry the same evening they share the dessert, or something in between, or something else entirely. Is the note in his log book about them having a pleasant late night chat or did they cuddle? Something else? Up to you.
My point is, you can easily do the same thing with the romance between Lucanis and Neve, because the banters are so unspecific.
Let's look at the most cheeky ones I've found.
Neve: So you and Spite are friends now? Can't say my money was on that one. Lucanis: I would've lost that bet too. Neve: If it lets you sleep at night… Unless this clears the way for new and different midnight brooding. Lucanis: I wouldn't put it past me. Neve: Well, find me at midnight and we'll test the theory. Lucanis: (Chuckles)
What does this banter tell us? It tells us that they spend time together late at night. But we already know that! From their romance lock-in scene. ("You find me at midnight just to talk.") I think this banter is a reference to that. How you imagine they spend that time, that's entirely up to you. If you imagine they're fucking their brains out, and you like that, cool! If you imagine they're sitting side by side, having a pleasant time, looking through Neve's case notes, and you like that, cool. If you think they're just starting to get physically intimate, cool. Because the banter does not say.
Taash: Hey, Lucanis. Lucanis: Yes? Taash: You and Neve? Lucanis: Yes. Taash: Nice catch. Lucanis: Thanks.
He's just as cagey as he is when Taash talks to him about Rook, by the way. It continues...
Taash: And Spite's good with her? Lucanis (Spite): No talking. When. Her hat comes off. Go play with wisps. Taash: 'Kay.
This one made me laugh.
But what does it actually mean? It tells us that Lucanis sets some boundaries with Spite. He's in love. He's in a relationship now. Of course he at the very least thinks about the possibility of getting intimate.
This can again be interpreted as Lucanis and Neve already being intimate in some way. Which also doesn't necessarily mean all the way - I swear that sometimes, it seems to me that people forget that cuddling and making out and other non-sexual forms of intimacy exist. Or it could mean that Lucanis has simply considered that this is where he wants the relationship to go sooner or later, and so he's told Spite, "Hey, if this situation occurs, be quiet and give us some space." This one definitely sounds more spicy and it shows that Lucanis obviously thinks about these things, but more than anything it shows that he asks Spite to give him privacy. Again, I feel like this is up to the player and what they want it to be.
I would also like to disagree with the narrative I have seen somewhere before that Neve rejects Spite. That's not the impression I've got from the game at all. I've never once caught Neve having a problem with Spite when she and Lucanis are in a relationship. (Though I don't yet know what happens during their romance when Minrathous is saved, because that's where I'm currently romancing Neve myself, but even then I haven't really seen her say anything that would suggest that she has a problem with Spite.) Most importantly, Spite clearly likes Neve. He even suggests that Lucanis should bring her flowers from Lavendel, which is adorable.
Seriously, his romance with Neve makes it almost seem that Spite is more competent at wooing somebody than Lucanis is sometimes, which is just so funny. This little guy, trapped in a world utterly alien to him, barely understands what feet are, but he knows you bring people flowers to show affection. I love him so much. While Lucanis' reaction shows he's probably never had an example of a healthy relationship of any kind for reference in his entire life. (Actually, from his reaction it seems to me that he perhaps simply doesn't yet know if Neve even likes flowers as a gift. Insufficient data.)
Either way, I think that when Lucanis loves Neve, Spite loves her, as well. It's not Neve who sends him away to have more privacy. It's Lucanis.
"BUT I WANT LUCANIS TO GET FLOWERS FOR ROOK, AS WELL!" Look at me. Listen to me. You give that man some damn flowers. He cooks for Rook. He prepares sweet treats for them. He invites them for coffee dates. He makes coffee or hot chocolate for them, and even though he himself doesn't even like tea, he makes sure it's in the Lighthouse for them. He would kill for them. You give the man flowers. Or rather, I'll tell you what to do: You go to Treviso, visit Fletcher, and buy that fancy tea (coffee) set for Lucanis after you lock his romance in, and you'll get that little cutscene where Rook gives it to him. Enjoy his romanced response. Call me crazy, but I think that's sweeter and more satisfying than the one line where Spite has to suggest giving flowers to Neve to him and Lucanis reacts like he's not even sure that's a good idea, haha. It's something wholesome and more normal that Rook can do for him to express their affection for a change, besides standing by his side through his struggles. But anyway.
Maybe it's because I like to imagine (my) Rook and Lucanis getting intimate at that point in the game, as well, and/or because I don't think that when two adults are alone in a room together, it necessarily means that they have to immediately get naked, those banters don't bother me, nor does it seem to me like the writing is inconsistent, especially because of how open to interpretation it is. If you leave your own assumptions out of it, the banters really don't say that much. They confirm for us that Lucanis has spicy thoughts, which I personally think is cute, and which I'm also pretty sure is already part of many people's headcanon for their Rook x Lucanis playthroughs anyway. They confirm for us that Lucanis enjoys spending time with his lover. And that he tries to communicate his boundaries to Spite.
I think it's also important to realize that these are two companion characters and we don't actually get any other romance scenes between them than the one described above, so they had to give their relationship some depth pretty much exclusively through banters and some rare mention here and there, just like they do it with Taash and Harding. (By the way, I also haven't seen anyone say anything about any possible inconsistencies with Taash and Harding, either.)
From the other banters, we find out that Lucanis asks Neve what her favourite dish is, and after she tells him, he promises to try and prepare something like that for her.
Lucanis: Neve, do you have a favourite food? Neve: Whatever you're cooking. Lucanis: There must be something. Neve: I might have a weakness for seafood and candlelight. Lucanis: I'll see what I can do.
He's clearly willing to learn and actively puts effort into his relationship. That's a trait that definitely also applies to his relationship with Rook. We know that because he remembers their favourite drink, makes sure it's stocked in the Lighthouse, and later prepares a matching treat. (He may even ask Emmrich for a recipe.) His love language clearly is food and quality time together. (And stabbing people for his lover, as is particularly clear from his romance with Rook.) That's how he seems to be most comfortable showing affection.
He also tells Neve that, during the Inner Demons quest, she was there to "sort of" help guide Rook through his mental prison. Neve tries to be cool about it and again ceases to function when he's earnest about it, which is always funny (and understandable).
Lucanis: Neve. In the Fade with Rook and Spite... you were there. I mean, not you, but... you know what I mean. You helped Rook. Sort of. Neve: Sort of? Well, isn't that flattering. At least I'm on your mind. Lucanis: You are. And not just then. Neve: I... oh. Well, then.
And he says he's not good with words.
Neve: I need to go through my notes later. See what the Shadows might find useful. Lucanis: Need company? Neve: No. But I'd love yours all the same. Lucanis: Then I'm yours.
Again, they talk about spending time together. That's definitely his thing. Lucanis also gives Neve similar "I'm yours," that he gives Rook. When you visit him in the pantry, he may say to Rook: "Did you need me? I'm yours." It couldn't be more clear that he's ready to be wherever Rook is, regardless of what they're doing, as well.
Also, a version of this banter exists before Lucanis and Neve start dating and possibly before dealing with Aelia. More casual, but similar vibe.
Lucanis: You don't sleep much, do you? Neve: More than you, but little enough. Still looking over everything on Aelia. Lucanis: If you need fresh eyes, I'm awake anyway. Neve: Maybe. If you don't mind the company. It comes with wisps. Lucanis: Wisps are nothing. Besides, you're better company than Spite. Neve: Really? Rumour has it I'm a pain in the ass. But that's if you ask Tarquin.
I think that's what Neve references when she says, "You find me at midnight just to talk."
All in all, the banters between Lucanis and Neve, and with a couple of other companions, during their romance simply hint at them having a loving relationship and spending quality time together. Consider that they had to squeeze their whole relationship into a few lines of banter and an occasional mention in dialogue and somehow make it believable, because unlike Rook and Lucanis, they don't have whole quests, outings, and many other interactions inside and outside of the Lighthouse, to develop their relationship.
Lucanis' relationship is definitely flavoured by his partner, whether it is Rook or Neve, and it's good that it's not completely the same for both couples, because they're different individuals, but I also don't really find any actual inconsistencies in their characterization between them.
I do agree that some of these interactions are super sweet and I would absolutely love it if we had some more of them between Rook and Lucanis and the other companions, because honestly I could easily listen to a hundred more, but it's also necessary to acknowledge that Lucanis and Neve are two companion characters and the few banters, one short cutscene, and a rare mention here and there, are all they get. And I think it's perfectly sufficient for them as NPCs. The interactions are lovely. They're clearly good for each other. But I also don't think they're actually getting anything extra in comparison with Rook, and I'm just honestly a bit baffled by the noise about it.
Rook as the protagonist has great chemistry and dynamic with Lucanis from the very beginning, thoughout the whole game, as I already to some extent described in my previous post. This post is already way too long without me getting too much into it here. But Rook has the benefit of being able to do Lucanis' quests, go on outings with him, be there for him during all the important moments (e.g. his grandma's funeral arrangements), have various interactions in the Lighthouse (e.g. Lucanis attempts to kiss them way before the dessert scene comes up) and outside of it. The Inner Demons quest is, in my opinion, the most intimate thing ever while doing his romance. They have banter together and with the other companions about their relationship and other things. We know they spend quality time together. Besides travelling everywhere side by side outside of the Lighthouse so often, they get together late at night, read together, are coffee buddies (or whatever drink you've chosen). Lucanis insists that Rook stay and tell stories while they drink with Davrin, wanting to hear a story from their life that he's already heard from others before, just because he thinks nobody tells it as well as Rook. I don't think that loses its meaning just because it's also a friendly interaction. Lucanis writes into his log book about them. He yells at Illario when he injures them. Etc. Etc. I really don't think there's any reason to hate on Neve, be jelly, or argue which relationship is more "canon". (For fuck's sake.)
Not to be patronizing or anything, but we, as a fandom, do remember what canon is, right? As in, actually established facts about the setting. As in, humans, elves, dwarves, and qunari are the races populating Thedas. Alistair Theirin was at the Battle of Ostagar. Magic and dragons exist. Treviso is in Antiva. Then there's personal "canon" that we each create for ourselves and those are wildly different. (And that's great about them!) For some, that means that e.g. the Hero of Ferelden died killing the Archdemon. Or that Hawke sided with the mages. Or that the Inquisitor exiled the Wardens. Or that Rook tricked Solas. Romances and optional relationships between NPCs fall into the category of personal "canon". Let's not forget that. It's so stupid to argue about which relationship is more legit when it literally depends on the player's choice. This is a reminder aimed especially at the part of the fandom crying that Neve's romance with Lucanis somehow invalidates Rook's romance with him.
As for them reusing small bits of Lucanis' romance scenes with Rook for his romance with Neve. Mostly this just means that he mentions her in like... two dialogues, maybe. It doesn't bother me, because to me that is the smart move, because it saved them time that they could invest into something else, probably more significant. I think it would bother me way more if they actually put unnecessary time into creating a lot extra content for them when I could have it instead. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it takes anything away from Lucanis' romance, because his romance and dynamic with Rook, overall, is delightful and consists of so much more than one short cutscene and a couple of lines.
Again, I'm not here to argue with anyone. Mostly, I think. I'm here to offer my perspective and also information for those who haven't seen Lucanis x Neve for themselves, don't have time for multiple playthroughs, or whatever, but are interested and/or want to know more about Lucanis for their headcanon.
Now, I'm going to end this rambling here, otherwise I'll keep adding to it forever. Pardon any mistakes or nonsense, I can't bear to read this all again, haha. If you've read all the way here, thank you so much for putting up with my bullshit. That's crazy.

SW Hades AU March-April Update
Some links and previous updates: May - June - July - August - September - October/November - December - January - February - everything else in this AU
I'm here with another two-month joint update because at the end of April I can hardly call it a March update, and truth be told I don't think I did much for this AU in the first month of spring anyway.
I started playing Hades 2 again, and made some progress with the Omega and Boba redraw of the Warsong update wallpaper :3 The more time that passes between posting and writing this the happier I am with this piece. Who could find all the gear that Omega wears from the Batch? 👀
Which cannot exactly be said about Sabine and Ezra as well, but I finally have something to show for them!!
Next up is Satine (now that I can show a small illustration in my skethcbook for her, it should go easy - I hope), and maybe Fennec or the Armorer. And lining Axe and laying down flat colors for him and Koska as well. I'm trying to get a drawing for all the missing characters and get them to the part where only detailed shading is missing. If my hand doesn't hurt too much at least ^^;

I'm also gearing up to drawing a new Ares!Boba too, but I'm still in denial about that ^^;
I did not have a particulrly good time with these drawings, I will be very honest upfront. I had to redraw Omega two times because I tried to line that piece in CSP and for some reason faces are just not happening for me there; It hadn't go well with Echo either months ago. I don't know what's up. The tilt of my tablet or that I don't have o zoom un until all I can see are pixels?? OTL
...and then the colours fought me something awful too. Between Boba and Omega they had red, yellow, green and blue covered, and all that with Boba's white flightsuit was not fun ^^; I don't know, I just cannot deal with that many colours - so figuring out what and how I should desaturate was quite an experiment in patience for me until they looked somewhat cohesive. Thankfully the added moonlight turned out to be distracting enough that I'm pretty much warming up to it all now.
I'm afraid I will have to use actual Multiply layers for the full shading.
And Sabine. Oh Sabine.
I've struggled here, big time, and I'm still deeply unhappy with her. I experimeted a lot in my sketchbook with her pose, but any time I thought I was finally on to something as soon as I went in to fix some minor anatomy issues digitally and add some details things just fell apart.

It was the tooka that messed everything up, I'm sure of it D: ^^; I wanted something to visually tie Sabine and Ezra together, and my decision fell on the little white tooka that was in Sabine's mural too at the end of Rebels. But now Sabine's shoulder had to stand in a way that the little critter can perch on and judge from...
Honest to god I almost cried with relief when I came across Eurydice in Asphodel when I switched back to playing Hades for a bit, and realized that she has the lean and attitude in her pose that I was looking for with Sabine. So it was either the coward's way out, or to throw the entire project out the window and become a hermit in the mountains or something.
You can see which option I picked XD
I am deeply, deeply fond of Ezra however Q^Q He was so cooperative after a few initial testing sketches, his hair is perfect, I didn't forget his scars, and I will find it in me to forgive his weird not-really-chainmail shirt, because that one I did to myself XD

I also finally got around to drawing a quick sketch for Fennec - for a hot minute I was very very tempted to pick for her a pose that's a lot closer to Widowmaker from Overwatch, but the vibes just didn't quite match. That was a very sad realization :'(
(Yes, I took the picture after Satine bled through the page in all her alcohol marker glory, yes, I regret it, and no, I cannot relably draw faces on paper. It is a real tragey. I'm in mourning.)
And just so that I cannot really sigh in relief, Leia is my next struggle. I still don't know how to make her work, and it's been months. Terrible. Horrible. Really really bad. Why am I even trying...TT^TT
So that's it for this month. It's both less and more than how it feels, and I'm also kinda losing a bit of steam - my mind is at re-drawing the entire background section for the House of Hades, so on the backburner i'm trying to cook up various background elements to fill the halls up with. Hades is such a beautifully designed game with such amazing shapes and colours, and Star Wars is such a different style especially when it comes to decorations... So there is a lot of cooking that will have to happen here. But I spent a not insignificant part of my last week (I'd been sick, I could get away with it) watching Drawfee speedpaints (they are so fun and so educational sometimes) and Jacob really popped off in one video creating a pixel art game of some sort? And ever since all I could think about is how and IF I could make my pocket Din move through my version of the Hades AU. Just a section of it. I'm itching to draw the backgrounds, but goddamn I am tired, so I just keep distracting myself from the important character art stuff with these daydreams X"D
I also very badly and incredibly distractingly want to re-draw Boba - I've drawn him so long ago, and it feels deeply unfair that I tried to puzzle out the style on him - and while Din got his upgrades bit by bit Boba just didn't. Also. Ares. Ares looks so good in his character art just sitting around like that - all casual-like - and Boba also has his trademark sprawl and... Look. I'm back to Boba being my most favourite clone, okay? I miss him. I miss drawing him. There.
Okay, rant over. Maybe this way I will be able to concentrate again XD Here's to hoping 🤞 I hope you guys are doing better with your creative projects! ❤️ See you all in May! Hopefully with something a bit more substantive and some proper links, not just wips like these ^^;
Taglist of anyone who wants to be pinged once a month for these updates <3 If you want to be added to the list send me a message, or just reply to this post (a 👀 would do, nothing fancy required ;))

If you want to be taken off the list just message me and I’ll take you off, no hard feelings :)

It's funny to me how you put these tags just as the newest episode revealed that Nathalie has been working for a secret organization this entire time and is taking commands from her dad who surprise surprise wants the ladybug and cat miraculouses
(Post in question for context)
[Image transcript: a series of tags reading "She is not a safe person and I HATE that she knows Marinette's identity Wtf is this show doing? Nathalie knowing Ladybug's identity should be a terrible thing that makes Marinette quit"]
Oh, so that's why Nathalie refused to turn herself in and convinced Ladybug to lie in the London special!
Nathalie: It's time to tell the truth. Bug Noire: If you do that, you'll go to jail. Nathalie: Isn't the truth worth it? Bug Noire: If you tell the truth, Adrien will have no one left. He'll have lost his mom, his dad, you. Nathalie: He will have you. Bug Noire: It's not' the same. He needs a mother. Nathalie: I'm not his mother. Bug Noire: You're the closest thing to a mother he's got. (Bunnyx runs over to the window as it continues playing)That's why Gabriel Agreste sacrificed himself, it's what finally made him a good father to Adrien and that's what Adrien should remember. Nathalie: Don't you want to tell Adrien that his father was Monarch? Bug Noire: The only thing I can fix is the way Adrien will remember his father. Nathalie: But that would be lying to him.
Oh, wait, no, my bad, that's the exact opposite of what happened in this dialogue! Why would you write the scene like this if Nathalie is still evil? And if Nathalie isn't evil anymore, then why is she keeping the evil organization a secret from Ladybug? This seems like something Ladybug should know about and this dialogue does not set Nathalie up as wanting to maintain secrets. Nothing in the special does!
[Image description: Fear from Pixar's Inside Out yelling "Boo! Pick a plotline!"]
I haven't seen El Toro De Piedra, so maybe there's something I'm missing, but doesn't this secret organization reveal basically destroy the popular argument that Nathalie is obeying Marinette's wishes re the lies because Nathalie no longer trusts herself to make good calls after all her years supporting Gabriel? If that was really the case, then Nathalie would have told Marinette about the secret organization and let Marinette decide what to do, but it sounds like that's not what happened. Nathalie feels totally comfortable making all the calls and controlling the information re the evil organization! She's only leaving Marinette to make the calls when it comes to Adrien's relationship with his father, a thing Marinette knows almost nothing about but that Nathalie actively watched deteriorate over the entire course of Adrien's life.
You can't have this both ways. Either Nathalie is a broken woman who is basically Marinette's puppet or Nathalie is a functional adult who is fully responsible for her own choices. Pick a lane.
I'm posting this now instead of waiting for the script because this is going to bother me until I get an answer. I legitimately want to know if the episode does anything to address any of these issues. Based on this ask, this is just adding fuel to my, "Nathalie should have been the liar" stance. Why is Marinette even involved in the lies if Nathalie is the one with all the actual secrets and information? It doesn't sound like the lies are doing anything interesting for Marinette's character or her relationship with Adrien. Can Adrien please get someone in his life who actually respects him? Can the writers please get rid of the asinine "Marinette must be wrong" rule when it makes no sense for the actual plot?
Gods, if Nathalie was actually written as still evil then this could have been amazing! The plot beats are all there, the writers just failed on every level. I'm still annoyed that her undoing Adrien's senticommands was presented as her being a good mom and not as her just using Adrien to fuck with Gabriel. Let my evil queen be an evil queen, gods damn it!
#ml writing critical#ml writing salt#sophieabigail2021#ml season six salt#El Toro De Piedra salt#nathalie salt#season six just keeps making me hate Nathalie more and more#I sense that I'm going to get a lot of use out of that gif#It's my reaction to almost everything I learn about season six#It sounds like a mess!#marinette defense squad#Nathalie deserves better

(90s)Shawn Michaels x Actress!Reader
request: i remembered that shawn had acting roles in ‘pacific blue’ & ‘baywatch’ and politely want to request AU headcanons of 90s actor shawn x actress reader falling in love on set?
got a request? send it over to me <3
tag list: @coffincorey @sultryfandoms @prettylittlegleek16 @dilanmoodboards @chaerityy @sparkinthedarkuk @vixenhatesyou
if you want to be added to the tag list: comment or answer this.
You want a guest role on an episode of Baywatch (or Pacific Blue, depending on your taste) for one week and it's nothing major but you are excited nonetheless. You love the ocean and it's nice to be doing something that's nonserious for a change.
What you don’t expect is to be paired up with some crossover guest star from the WWF. You roll your eyes when you hear his name.
"Shawn Michaels? What’s he gonna do - superkick the tide?"
Until you meet him.
He shows up to the first table read like a walking sunburned ego in Oakleys and a tank top Late. Of course. He waltzes in like he’s the main character, gives you a wink across the table, and sits way too casually in his chair. The second he opens his mouth to read lines, his voice smooth, teasing, laced with that smug Texas charm, you want to throw your script at his head. Or kiss him. You're not sure which.
He calls you darlin’ three times that day. You make fun of his hair once. The tension is already there.
On set, your characters both have electric chemistry. The script says your characters are supposed to hate each other at first, but somehow every argument ends with you inches from each other’s faces, breathing hard, staring at each other’s mouths like it wasn’t part of the scene.
The director never really cuts, just lets the silence stretch and tells you both;
“Whatever that was? Do it again tomorrow.”
Shawn often pretends to forget his life's. He'll corner your outside your trailer and be like, “Hey, think you could help me run this scene real quick? Can’t seem to get it right.” and you will yes, of course because you always do and you spend your afternoon pacing the beach with him, going over dialogue that he knows PERFECTLY well. He messes up on purpose but you can tell it's him trying to make you laugh.
At once point, you are yelling a line and he'll grab your wrist, which isn't in the script, and look at you softly.
"You're so good at this, you know that?"
You blink. You’re still holding the script, but your brain has gone blank.
Rehearsing moments where your characters are flirting can get blurry. You both practice the scene in private, no cameras. Just the two of you. And the lines get a little slurred. A little slow. The space between acting and not acting vanishes.
You fumble a line or two getting flustered. But he just smiles and waits.
“Wanna run that again? I liked where it was going.”
The paparazzi get a shot of both of you on set, sunglasses pushed up on your head with his hand on the small on your back.
Next day, it’s TV’s Hottest New On-Set Couple? splashed across a grocery store magazine. You tease him mercilessly. He pulls out a Sharpie and autographs the cover.
“For my future wife,”
Your heart skips but you pretend to gag instead.
He'll write you little notes on your script. Mostly just notes like;
“If you get bored later, Ive got a bottle of tequila and no plans. —Your favorite co-star 😘”
You'll then find him lounging in a deck chair like he doesn't have to be in a scene with you in twenty minutes. He'll give you a look as if to say "Are you coming over or not?"
After a long day of filming, he will often take you out for a long drive. Sometimes you don't really go anywhere but often he'll take to some dive bar, where the drinks are cheap and the jukebox only plays 80s rock ballads. He buys you a whiskey, rests his arm on the back of your booth. Sometimes you will both stay out till 3am. It's not just banter anymore. He listens. He opens up to you too about his life, being a famous wrestlers and things that he's never spoken to anyone else about,
During breaks, you both sneak off to hang out like two teenagers.
His dressing room becomes your favorite hiding place. He leaves notes in your script binder, terrible jokes, sweet compliments, his hotel room number scrawled in Sharpie. You steal his denim jacket and pretend it’s because you’re cold.
He steals your heart and doesn’t pretend at all.
When the episode airs, your scenes are highly rememberable. Your agent tells you to play up this sizzling relationship up - do interviews together, get caught by cameras and all that. There's no acting involved though. You are truly in love with Shawn.
And when the director calls that’s a wrap, Shawn just pulls you into a hug and says quietly in your ear:
"Let’s not let this be a one-episode thing, huh?"

MLB- El Toro de Piedra
review

First its nice to see iven get the spot light along with juleka this is episode
this is something we shold have got forever ago i believe it was said we had new writers on the show and if so thank god iven was the first akuma victim and then just stated dating mylin and thats all he got
now we finally learn about this character
we learn about his dad that he lives with his grandad
and his dad being a villion links to some one else we now
adrin,it was nie to see Adrien and mari not be at the center of some else episode unlike other seasons

but we srr something new linked to adrin bits and piece of his past from 1 tell now and when looking in a box from his past with mari
mari finds a letter were grabrail tell adrin the truth(not this man trying to control adrin from the grave)

i fear if Adrien wasn't chat he would maybe do as the letter asked of him kinda mirroring what iven all most did this episode we saw in (what is supost to be epsiod e 1 but isnt)
that Adrien doesn't know what he want to do with his life like i said if it wasn't for him being chat he would maybe tried to do like his father asked and i think its so crazy that gerbil new his paln would work at some point write this letter and and tried to get Adriento bring him back and dear i saw this is kinda my fear like another form of for shadowing like with mari and her asking alya to take her place

this is leading to something bigger down the line that will lead to a few things alya being the new ladybug and both adrin and some else int his episode talking the ladybug earrings from her caz alya not mari
shes just a new holder they want care they're not as linked to her as they are ladybug/mari so it want feel as bad to Adrien if at some point he maybe or in a what if episode dose bring his dad back be caz thats what i feel the story going to at some point grabrails wish being un done my lila or Adrien maybe even mari wo knows
mari dose the spart thing and takes the latter to Natalie who want to destroy the letterso adrin can keep living a better life with out her dad but mari is unsure

but be for that we learn some more thing about some other characters
we see luka he's in brazil so maybe is studying over seas ,on a fieldtrip with his grade ,or with his dad still

we learn that with out him the band can't play luka suggest that juleka take his place ,we all so learn that she has written a song but isn't sure she wants to share it
a few moment later we see iven up set his dad is gettig out of jail and wants his help stealing again out side of Adriens home we see some one sitting on a bench by his place are they working for lila or some else

after this we see iven dad trying to in act his plan waiting on iven to show up to do his part he doesn't his dad gose to a spot he told iven to get some gear from to find a letter ivan left
ivan dad gets upset leading in to him getting akumatized

at the same time we see all the kids from miss bustier class and zoe butting together some even for her, you can really tell the writers have stepped up they're game caz in any of the old season this would have been the main focused with mari trying to make thing
look good mixed with a plan to ask Adrien out ,but we see that the writes are doing multipale things at once ,from ivans story with his dad ,julika, Adrien ,mari and Natalie all at once and it dosn't feel overwhelming like you thing it would it give all the charaters need
time to shin and get much need development ,and like i said be for with out mari being at the center trying to take on everyone's issues well at the same time fighting hawkmoth ,being lb and trying to ask adrin to go get ice cream or something

we after this we see ivans dad serach for him he almost gets him but iven gets away and gose in to the sewers of all place (can we get 1 season with out some going down their at this point everyone just going to live down their like ninja turtles )

iven calls on maribug he want to give her his mirauluse back but they talk things out and we see iven transform after that we see the akuma fight mixed with julika song but be for she gose on stage to see her song we see her and rose kiss trully conforming they are together unlike other season

(sorry i could get the shot of it ) the kiss was concenters so they could still air this in other place around the world but we all now it was a kiss i dont get why miss bustier got to kiss her gf/wife?
but julrose could get a kiss like that maybe caz but for know a kiss is a kiss im so happy after 10 year we got this evn if its not what we wanted and hay its not at the end of the show like like other lgbt couples in shows

we see julika song mixed with the fight we need more of this the fans arn't here for the fights unless the fight develope the plot or character development we dont need long ones
but this one was still good caz it help iven take on his dad in away he couldn't as him self kinda like with Adrien in season 5

and now the ending of the episode

what in the would is going on this is so crazy Natalie girl what are you doing we now she was someone looking for magic item but his is so crazy and this secret council is maybe controlling all the world or maybe just Europe its self we know one of them is tomoe but the other we don't know we now Natalie been asked to get the miraculous
i think this all so set up Natalie learning adrin chat at some point this season or next season or maybe her making her own wish maybe

i guessing this is why we need 14 season we need to learn about this know
so im guessing the man setting outside adrains place is linked to this group so now we have to loo out for this griup and people working for liLa
#juleka couffaine#ivan#adrien agreste#marinette dupain cheng#luka couffaine#miracolous ladybug#mlb#mlb spoilers#mlb 6#mlb6#mlb season 6#nathalie sancoeur#i see why we need 14 seaseon now#14

Having had took like... a year or so to step back from Ninjago, the hyperfix has slowly started to creep up on me again. With this, I've realized a lot of my headcanons and opinions have changed as I've shown interest in other things and tried to make connects between my fandoms.
Something I've realised, and remember having been vaguely mentioned to me before, was the servre mischaracterization of the main 6. Personally, I've always been a huge Lloyd fan and he's the one I hyperfixate on the most, so I can confidently say I know how INSANELY he's been mischaracterized (at least in my opinion).
Also, putting this out there, I will mostly be referencing stuff from like... 2022-2024 fandom and not stuff within the last year or so... bcs like I said, I've just recently started incorporating myself back into it fully. But anyways!!!
I don't want to yap too much, but something that I feel like I have the strongest opinions about is Lloyd's softness. Lloyd is most definitely not as soft as the fandom portrays him as. As someone though who was apart of the infantization of Lloyd, I am also judging myself here!!
I just remember reading so many fics and comics, and Lloyd would always be crying, or just in an extremely fragile emotional state. Now, I'm not saying Lloyd doesn't have issues, I'm just saying... it's not as servre as some people write it as. Lloyd is a character who we've only seen cry TWICE through the entire show, --Unless he's cried within the past 2 seasons of DR... -- and those were both extremely important scenes for his character, because Lloyd isn't someone who cries. He's always there for others though. Yes, Lloyd's been through TRAUMATIC shit, but he's also a me tally strong character. Maybe not the strongest, but he's also not the weakest.
I don't know what else to say really... thats just... I NEEDED to get that out 💔
I hope y'all liked my yap! I'm sorry if it sounds a bit bland and quick at the end but it's literally 12:49 am

mr. perfectly fine
a/n: i've had this in my drafts since i saw the trailer of we live in time. and honestly it was basically done, so i don't know why i didn't just drop it. so this is me digging it back up and putting some finishing touches on this quick drabble of angst. it's small, but writing it really made me want to re-watch the movies. so we'll see if anything comes from that. for now though, enjoy!
summary: there's a lot you would change in your relationship with peter. how late he'd show up to dates, the massive amount of missed calls and texts, and his forgetfulness. only there's a defining factor that might shift the entire trajectory of your lives together. peter parker was spider-man...and you didn't know.
word count: 2.3k+
pairing: peter parker x reader
warnings: not explicit, angsty as fuck though, peter gets dumped (sorta) but it doesn't last long, lots of tears, secrets exposed, fluff, forgiveness.
New York always seemed to reflect your emotions with ease. Like a mirror you couldn't break, or even avoid. Maybe it happened because you were looking for it without realizing; searching for answers to the never-ending questions that nagged at you. Different ways to work out the equations that held no solutions. A new way of figuring it out.
Yet no matter how many trials you ran, how many times you inputted the numbers, you seemed to always find yourself staring at the one thing that made sense. ERROR.
You counted the times he stood you up, tracked the calls he missed and the texts he only read but never answered. You compiled them like research, as if you were stuck in your lab and he was the experiment. He became the hypothesis you had to back up with well crafted proof. Only science never helped in situations of love. And you found that counting the days, watching the minutes and seconds go by, only made things worse.
The dinner went cold an hour ago, the candles snuffed, and the soft love songs were traded out for something sadder. Like other nights, you half expected you'd see him in the early hours of dawn. The glow of sunrise illuminating him like your very own hero, your favorite person to exist.
Every other time you chose to forget, to move on with your time together and find something happy to focus on. But tonight's calendar had been marked. A red heart written around your initials.
One that he wrote.
Six months passed in the blink of an eye.
Where you used to be awkward—barely able to speak to each other—now you found comfort in the silence. But when the quiet gave way to loneliness, you felt yourself begin to slowly chip away. You always thought he'd be here to put you back together, to save you in moments of brief darkness that left you wandering this shared path alone.
Yet when the clock finally struck midnight, and you were three glasses of wine in, you felt the final thread of hope snap.
You sighed, the burn of tears spilling over as you swallowed the last of your drink. "Happy Anniversary Peter," you muttered, getting up from the table.
The rain outside pounded against the asphalt. Wet streets glimmered with street lights and smelled of discarded cigarette butts. You wrapped the buckle around your waist tight enough to close up what parts of the coat gaped on your body. The dark charcoal wool fabric didn't belong to you. It lingered with Peter's scent, but you couldn't find yours as you rushed out the door.
You didn't want to stay in that apartment longer than necessary.
Perhaps you should have left some message behind—let him know that eventually you'd be back for your things. Somewhere in the back of your mind you understood what tonight was. A defining moment in your relationship. A chance for him to finally pull his act together and be with you.
Yet like everything else...you'd be simply another thing he'd have to let go of.
He wouldn't have a choice.
The salt of your tears mixed with the drops of rain that streamed down your face. You welcomed it as you walked. There wasn't a defining spot you were going—no grand plan once this came to pass. But somehow you wound up in a park, staring at a bench, and picturing a past version of yourself. Nose buried in a science book and lunch propped on your knees. You could see how Peter rushed by, how he nearly broke his neck turning to look at you.
You watched the moment happen all over again right before you. And for the first time in two months, you wanted to stop him.
The door opened with the usual creak. He winced at the noise with the memory of saying he'd fix it eventually. The DW-40 sat under the sink where he picked it up, never getting around to actually completing the job. Simply another let down that he'd never live down.
You said it was alright; claimed that the squeak gave the front door character. And that might have been true.
It still didn't stop Peter from beating himself up over it.
"Babe! I grabbed some food on the way home. Got your favorite." He stuffed his mask in his backpack, discarding it in the hallway as he went. The suit still clung to his already soaked body, but he hoped you wouldn't pick up on the peek of red beneath his clothes.
The plan to tell you was coming together nicely. A romantic dinner on the top of the Empire State after hours surely would give you a chance to think things over. He just had to work out the logistics of setting up everything with the security guard he befriended.
"Also I remembered to ask May about dinner in two weeks-"
He froze at the sight of the dark living room, of the table decorated with candles and plates filled with food. Very little scared the ever living shit out of him now. A familiar territory of adrenaline he’d come to welcome. But the sight of the calendar placed on his chair—the red heart blaring like a signal in the night sky—had his heart dropping to his stomach.
"No..." The food was forgotten about, dropped on the counter as he picked up the offending piece of paper. The clear mark around the date drawn by him two weeks earlier. A reminder to let him know that of all days...he couldn't forget this one.
He couldn't let you down again.
The clock in the corner read ten thirty and his heart lurched at the sudden realization that you finally did it. You gave up on his antics. All the moments he couldn't fix himself. You chose yourself over the madness of loving him. He wasn't sure which was wore. You not being here to give him a chance of groveling on his knees, or the silence in the apartment at knowing that your laughter and love would never fill it again.
He didn't have time to rationalize his decisions. Barely even noticed that he was walking out the door—the loud bang echoing in the hallway—as he went. Somewhere in the city you were mourning a relationship he was determined to fix. Yet he couldn't figure out where the hell to start looking.
This wasn't the first fight you'd had. The first time you left the apartment he found you in a hole in the wall cafe. A place he'd never even heard of before. And after three cups of coffee, a long night of talking, you both agreed to work on the communication. To heal what small wound had been opened.
Only this time was different.
This time the wound festered, grew to the point of being fatal.
This time he wasn't sure he could heal what he already broke.
His web clung to the building as he swung, landing five feet away from the already darkened cafe. Much to his own detriment you didn't bother to try getting out of the rain.
A crackle of lightning echoed in the night sky, thunder rolling in a few seconds later. It covered the sound of him nearly collapsing to the ground as a car swerved by—the horn blaring in his ears. The calendar was tucked in his jacket pocket, the ink bleeding through the soggy paper. But he refused to let it go. He couldn't. That was his final piece of you—the last moniker of a relationship that was worth it.
He only hoped you felt the same.
"Where are you baby?" he muttered under his breath.
After checking your favorite diner, bar, and bookshop. He was starting to run out of options. Almost as if you simply up and vanished from the city entirely.
You didn't want to be found. Yet Peter knew he wouldn't be able to live without you. How could he? When the chance of getting a peek at your smile was worth waking up early in the morning to see you off for work. Little moments of joy kept him going. And nearly all of his were spent with you. Each laugh, kiss, and look, were his to keep.
His to protect.
And he'd fucked all of that up.
Time passed quicker than he would have liked. The rain beat down on his body and he could no longer discern between his tears and the water. Still he searched. He checked every nook and cranny of spots you shared together.
Until the park came into his view atop a random apartment building. His heart leapt in his chest, body thrumming with nervous energy, as he swung down to the mushy grass that squelched beneath his sneakers. The cold shouldn't have made his hands tremble. Although perhaps the weather had nothing to do with what made his stomach twist, body overwhelmed with a fear he might never understand.
He knew why he shook like a leaf. He could feel the nerves beat alongside his heart, echoing his earlier sentiment throughout his entire body.
Letting you down this time wasn't a chance he was willing to take.
"Baby!" he called, running past low lit sidewalks and darkened tree lines. He ran until he felt the cold sting of rain on his face—until his clothes dripped water and the soles of his shoes were puddles.
Only to pause at the sight of a hunched over figure on a bench, their hands gripping the edge of the wood, and shoulders shaking with each stunted breath. Peter's heart tore into pieces. Fluttering to the ground as he stepped closer. Simply a flimsy piece of that ruined calendar. He could hear your sobs, smell the salt of your tears, and that broke him beyond repair.
He did this.
He took the most important person in his life and ripped them a part.
"I'm sorry," he said over the rain, catching the way you jumped—your eyes wide and lips swollen from where you bit down on them.
"Peter-"
Before you could get out the words to dismiss him. He dropped to his knees in front of you, his hands pressing into either side of the bench. Caging you in. This wasn't a chance for him to grovel, to give excuse after excuse. He’d passed that point months before. This was him finally letting you into the final piece of his life—the truth he wanted to shout from the rooftops if it meant getting a chance to see you smile again.
Fuck he'd give anything to see you smile.
"There's no good excuse okay? I don't have one. I'm just sorry." You sighed, moving to unlatch his grip. Only to find you couldn't get him to budge. "I don't want to keep hurting you. So if after this, you wanna go then you can go. I won't stop you, or call you, or even ask you back."
"Don't-"
He shifted closer, surprising you as his speed. "Just know I love you. I'll love you forever baby."
"Peter what are you doing?"
With a sharp gulp of air, he stripped off his jacket and t-shirt. They fell to the ground with a went plop as silence wrapped around the both of you. For a moment, he wondered if you'd take him seriously. Maybe you'd laugh. Maybe you'd leave him faster than before. But you simply stared at him—mouth parted and eyes wide as you took in the spider emblem sewn in his chest.
He coughed, shoving his wet hair out of his face. "This isn't how I wanted to tell you. The dinner with May was actually gonna be me telling you on top of the Empire State Building-"
"That's why you always forget the milk," you murmured, glancing to the side—a dazed expression now donning your face.
"What?"
"Every time I ask you to pick something up from the store at night. You never remember."
Heat spread rapidly across his cheeks. A red flush he knew was bright against the light on the sidewalk. "I don't always forget."
Rainfall filled the void of silence as you dragged your eyes along each web, the itch of your fingers too much to take—finally pressing them along the ridged fabric you’d only seen in blurry newspaper images. A mark that all of New York came to see as hope. The promise that for once in their lives they would be safe on streets known for violence and horrors.
You tried to wrap your head around the truth, pressing a thumb into the spider carved directly above a heart you knew was too good to be true. One that beat in time with yours, a familiar thudding echo you fell asleep to each night pressed tight to one ear. Peter was that man, the savior of a home you couldn’t see yourself leaving, the hero you’d only heard stories about.
“I guess this complicates things,” you finally mumbled, hand finding his chin soaked by the rain.
His sigh bled into the air, filling your lungs with the air you struggled to find. “Does that mean…you’re staying?”
“I’m just glad you weren’t cheating on me.”
Peter laughed, surging up with a speed you’d never witnessed before. “Never.”
His lips were cold against yours, gloved hands rough against the skin of your cheek, but the taste of him was the same. The man who asked for a chance in this park, promising to make your life interesting despite the chaos he dragged atop shoulders stronger than others. He carried the world with ease. Now it was your turn to do the same for him.
“So what’s it like dating Spider-Man?” you mumbled against his lips.
He grinned, pulling you up with an arm around your waist. “Free transportation.”
“Anytime I want?”
Thumbing the top of your cheek he pushed what tears remained aside. “For the rest of your life. If you want it.”
Oh how you loved him.
“I want it.”

I'm sorry what? (The anon)To me this shows you pay no attention to Jensen at all.
First Jensen doesn't read a lot because he has ADHD. In his case he mentioned it affected his ability to comprehend written words. So when he reads he needs to be very intentional and focused. This has zero to do with intelligence. Literally nothing. (Seriously there were geniuses in the world even before there was written language, so how quickly you read has nothing to do with how smart you are).
Despite that he reads frequently, he constantly has to read and memorize scripts and including parsing the meaning of the story, character interactions and character psychology and he's damn good at it.
And he does read despite that, we've seen him with books AND when he first went to Hollywood he was worried about falling behind his college going friends, intellectually, so he set himself a course of self education - to try and read the sort of books he'd be reading if he'd gone to college and it turned out when he met up with his friends again he'd read more than they had!!
He clearly puts a high value on learning and personal growth. He may not be the guy to make sudden changes, based on a mood, he makes educated changes based on knowledge. The type of changes that stick.
I remember back in season 1 or so of SPN, Kripke describing Jensen and Jared and he specifically mentioned Jensen's being very quick witted. He has a fast mind.
Jensen clearly has extremely high emotional intelligence and he's empathetic. He's well spoken and quick witted. He clearly thinks deeply about things. He's respectful of other people. We hear this all the time from people who know him, or people who've worked with him. That's why he's so well liked and deeply respected. Frankly the fact that he "match made" two possibly three of his friends into successful marriages actually says a lot about how "people intelligent" he is.
I remember when he went to Japan, way back in like 2008, for SPN, the woman who was assigned to be his guide, mentioned she was impressed with the questions he asked and how genuinely curious he was. Like he really wanted to learn about their culture.
He's also creative - one of things he mentioned about the COVID hiatus was how much he needed a creative outlet. So Jensen and Misha are both creative people - how is writing lyrics lesser than writing poetry? How is playing and writing music lesser? Jensen has also directed and been considered quite good at it.
A lot of actors get into it because they enjoy the comraderie and affection they experience being part of a team "putting on a show". Jensen loves being part of the team, whether it's as the captain of the team or one of the regular players. I remember reading something Karl Urban said about why HE enjoyed acting, he really loved the teamwork etc and I was like "this is something Jensen could have said".
I think you'll find anyone who actually knows Jensen Ackles (I don't but I'm going by what we've seen and heard) would laugh at your idea of him being "basic" based on how very wrong you are, especially Misha.
Okay so I get why Jensen is into Misha and has been crushing on him for years. The evidence is verrrrry obvious lol. But I genuinely don't see Misha being into Jensen the same way. Don't kill me, but Jensen's not really on Misha's level intellectually--not like Jared is. Jensen admitted he doesn't even read ever, whereas Misha's a voracious reader, writes poetry, and is working on a film script. Also Jensen's not really into activism or politics and is just overall kinda basic? Like he's into beer, cars, and country music, which is fine. But I don't see that being very interesting to Misha. Like yeah Jensen's conventionally handsome and great as Dean but that's kinda it? I'd think Misha would need more than just looks. Also there aren't really any moments where Misha's GENUINELY swooning over Jensen if you think about it. He's just as smiley, affectionate, and teasing with Jensen as he is with literally everyone else in the cast. And yeah he kissed him on the cheek that one time cuz Jensen was struggling onstage, but that's just Misha being Misha. If anything, he seems into Rob imo.
I won't kill you, though I don't share your opinion like at all!
They might not share the same interests but it doesn't mean they can't be together. Jensen could totally admire Misha's talent for acting, writing poetry and other stuffs he does. And Misha can totally admire Jensen's talent too, for acting as well and for music for example, by promoting the release of his last album (I don't have the energy to find the panel where he said it) and by looking at him like this:
See, I don't think Misha is that much demonstrative compared to Jensen actually. Misha likes to joke a lot so it doesn't seem like it but he's more private, shows less affection, except usual hugs and kisses to joke, and talks less about what he feels.
And I think he wouldn't like someone calling Jensen basic.
Because he is not.
Also, I find Misha and Rob really cute together.

:) i certainly have no issue dressing in drag :)
^guy who has no issue dressing in drag btw
glenn said that dennis' drag name is victoria von hemen btw
(Source)
#glenn howerton#guy who should get to dress in drag#im just. ill never be over the fact that glenn wrote Two episodes in season 3 that involve dennis doing drag#i know he doesn't really want to write for the show but there's something so special abt how early sunny was an actor's sandbox#esp hearing glenn talk abt how den is like. an outlet for him and a way to play around with shit he would never do for one reason or anothe#my point being that i think its been a while since he was able to utilize dennis again in that way#but 16 was a definite change. especially with dtamhd it feels like dennis is becoming more glenn again. like he was in the early days#theres a pretty good stretch of the show once it got into the double digits that feels like den was. co-opted.#but like i wonder how it feels to explore sexuality and gender via your character#it must be similar to doing that through fandom and OCs but there's a whole other layer to it here#esp when its not Just being presented as comedic as it was in past seasons. like dennis is Actually queer and this is a normal plot point#its not the punchline like den's femininity often is its literally just part of what makes him able to help mac and dee#id argue we've gotten this in the form of. dennis doing dee's makeup and shit. but#anyway. glenn. now that you have two of your former writing assistants in that writers room i hope you get to do drag again 💀#its been 16 years. show us the new and improved victoria.#i honestly can't imagine pitching something like that to a room of people Without some sort of comedic twist but#man.#ada speaks#iasip#it's always sunny in philadelphia#rcg#i won't ever forget the way he lit up talking abt queer dennis jhksvfjhksvdfgjhkds#love u king...... i hope you get something in s17 that you Certainly Don't Mind

actually I love Tentoo and he is the Doctor and it was the only ending for Rose that worked and it is a huge gift to be able to have the man she loves grow old with her, they were always heading for that, y'all be quiet. I 100% understand the angst but it's okay, they're okay, good ending-
#did you want her to...not end up with the doctor?#she ended up with the doctor. she ended up with the doctor and they get to AGE together#they get to have a real honest relationship the way they both always genuinely wanted#it's hard that the full time lord version has to carry on without her but that is the way that character's story ALWAYS goes#the doctor does not get to keep ANYONE. it would be a different show if he did#meanwhile there is a version of that same face of his - the one that was MADE for love? particularly born out of love for ROSE? the one 1/2#2/2 that always wanted a FAMILY? and stability? and a normal life? the tenth doctor longed for that specifically because of rose#now he gets to have it AND be part-human so he doesn't have to watch her get old. he gets old WITH HER#and they're canonically growing their own Tardis so you don't even have to be sad that they're not adventuring in time and space as usual#because they ARE. it's the kindest ending for either character. and if the full time lord hadn't left without either of them-#-he would have had to lose them eventually. lose Rose because she's human? hello? painful? but instead he was selfless and left her-#-with a proper happy ending. which she CHOSE to have so you can't be like “he tricked her!” she chose to kiss one of them and it was Tentoo#they are the same man. Rose won in this scenario.#and I GET IT I am with Billie Piper I think it will always feel a little off that she was left with Tentoo and not the full time lord#I understand. it still makes me a little sad. but I know it's a good ending writing-wise. really the ONLY ending.#yes I know about the popular idea of Immortal!Rose or Bad Wolf Rose or whatever and that's cute and all BUT - it's not a GOOD thing#it's not PREFERABLE to be immortal. Rose doesn't want to live forever. she wants to be with the man she LOVES forever.#she doesn't want to not die or adventure for all time. she wants to be there to hold his hand. and when Tentoo is born she gets THAT!#Immortal!Rose is tragic. the Doctor would not wish the burden of immortality on the woman he loves HELLO#anyway#I ship timepetals. that includes Tentoo/Rose. because he is the doctor#so there#I have more thoughts on Tentoo specifically but I digress#maybe if provoked in an Ask or something idk#doctorrose#timepetals#opinion piece#tenrose#tentoo#handy

I know I've been on about this for a while now and I'm being a hater but you're telling me SydCarmy was "always meant to be platonic" even though there are two seasons of writing making use of tried-and-true explicitly romantic tropes, themes and writing signals, and SydLuca is going to be romantic because...he was nice to her on screen for a few minutes?
I don't even care if people ship SydLuca, or if they just prefer it, but you can't honestly tell me that you believe Carmy was always meant to be a friend but Luca is an obvious love interest.
Just because Syd and Carmy haven't kissed or confessed their love to each other doesn't mean that isn't very obviously the direction this show is going. The Bear has already shown you who is endgame. It has shown you every episode of the show so far.
Honestly I really don't think The Bear fanbase understands this show or cares about these characters or the story being told here, which is unfortunate because this show is shockingly well-written in comparison to most shows right now, and we should be so grateful for it but all we're doing is complaining that the writers led us on by not making a ship canon fast enough. It's just. Sad.
#The Bear#SydCarmy#I was like a casual fan of this show two days ago#and now seeing how little respect this show gets from it's fanbase I'm losing my mind#I mean I shipped SydCarmy before anyway but now it means so much to me#it means so much to see such a realistic and purposefully well paced romance take place#so many shows portray romantic relationships and their beginnings in ways that just don't really happen in real life#and this show very purposefully said no. These are characters who are strangers. who are working together. Who are in a tense environment#and each of them has problems - one of them the type of problems that makes developing new relationships pretty difficult#these two would not get together right away. It would take a long time. And there would be ups and downs.#And even when that's the case. Even if when it takes a long time and doesn't go smoothly and is hard -#it can still be beautiful. It can still be romantic. It can still happen and here's how#and I'm just so inspired genuinely. It is so difficult to write romance without being cliche and so difficult to write it in a way that#could actually happen in real life and I really do hope I can write something half as good some day#and then to know so many people have no appreciation for it at all#because they prefer the shows that have characters make eye contact a few times and then confess their love for each other like#it's just fucking sad. So sad that so few people have any appreciation for good writing especially the difficult of romance writing#like I really just don't even know what to tell you. In real life these two would not have confessed to each other yet. They would not have#kissed yet. They would not have even realized they have feelings for each other yet because those feelings would still be developing#and I also want to point out that given the disparity in power between Syd and Carmy in season 1 it wouldn't have been healthy for them to#get together much sooner. He was her boss. He was also her idol. Before they can even get together that needs to be balanced out.#And then on top of that don't you see the value in Carmy realizing the dream girl he's romanticized in his head - Claire - isn't actually#what he wants? Don't you see the beauty in him being disillusioned from that? And realizing that Syd is what he wants?#Don't you see the beauty in Syd having an idealized vision of what Carmy The Great Chef is like realizing she was wrong and that he's human#and flawed and then realizing - she loves him anyway? She loves him more for not being on a pedestal and for having his flaws?#Are you telling me that even thinking about this doesn't move you? Doesn't make your heart ache a little?#And again - ship and let ship - but what is Luca? What is Luca if not just what she was hoping Carmy would be when she wen to The Beef?#What is he if not just another man who she has not seen under pressure yet? Not seen reliving trauma yet? Not been her boss yet?#It's easy to look at him and think he's better than Carmy - and that's the point. That's the point The Bear is making.#It is easy to want someone you don't know. It's hard to want to someone you do know. But that's what love requires and that's the point

I love singNsong again reminding people in Side Story that Dokja wanted other people to read TWSA (he wrote reviews and comments! It was his first wish), and he only stopped bothering because people harassed him for it. He didn't gate-keep the story. When he's avoiding talking to Sangah about it at the beginning of ORV, it's because he knows what happens when he tells people about the story, not because he's gate-keeping it from her. He notes he's not proud of his hobby (likely because he's been bullied all through his life, including for reading the thing he loves): he finds it embarrassing to talk about, and better respects her studying Spanish in her free time (learning another language is a generally accepted thing in society). He assumes she won't care or will look at him funny (or worse) for when she learns about the novel he's into.
Basically anyone writing "let's gatekeep ORV" posts because of the anime announcement or because they dislike the manhwa or some other weirdness, y'all are the villains in the scenario.
The literal climax of the story is about sharing ORV with as many people as possible. What story were y'all reading?
#orv#really tired of the stupid gate-keepy bs in some parts of this fandom#omniscient reader's viewpoint#kim dokja#side story spoilers#it's been quite fascinating seeing novel fanatics come out of the woodwork against potential anime fans#while showing how much they hate the manhwa and manhwa fans too#the only actual official English translation we have is the manhwa#acting like we're all in this together like no#I adore the novel and the manhwa#and folks who started with the manhwa or just happen to also like the manhwa but also like the novel see you for what you are#avoiding talking about something is not gatekeeping#it's often recognizing various social cues#like oh this person probably isn't familiar and I don't care to explain#or I'm worried they'll treat me badly if they know#when you're trying to connect with someone you tend to look for things you share not stuff you don't#if Dokja heard about people trying to gatekeep orv he would be disgusted#also NOT gatekeeping orv is literally the climax of the story I am so deeply confused by people encouraging gatekeeping of it#you're making han suyeong mad#she didn't nearly kill herself writing orv in order to share it to everyone they could find so people could gatekeep it#that is literally the opposite of the goal#it's not bad to ask if folks have read the novel because for a variety of reasons folks may not have#but it is bad to act like reading the novel is a fandom requirement especially given all we have is a fantranslation using MTL#or you must love the novel above others or the novel only#I want singnsong to get fucking rich from this story they shared and which I and many adore#gatekeeping does not make that happen#also good luck getting people to buy the Yen Press novel translation when it comes out when you act like this#the manhwa is available in at least seven languages officially fuck off with this gatekeeping crap#don't get me started how a lot of y'all don't even know what twatf is and a good chunk of y'all who won't even touch it when you do know#and that doesn't exactly bother me but it does bug me when book purists get all high and mighty

Ep 6!!!
#Biggest take away from the episode: @fandom Dazai can't be Atsushi's father figure if he himself says Atsushi's father figure is the–#headmaster check your facts#Second biggest take away from the episode: the worst thing the headmaster transmitted Atsushi ought to be the terrible haircut choices#Mmmmhhh I could spend another whole tag rant to talk about how much I dislike the writing of Lucy in this episode 😭😭😭#But I worry I'll start being perceived as someone who hates women if I do so I won't.#(But let me just say. I really really *really* despite the “what women [alien and mysterious beings] want is hard to understand and–#impossible to decipher and more often than not they will say the exact opposite of what they mean” stereotype.#Like I hate it to an intimate extent.)#I quite like Kyouka's backstory!! I feel like she's the most fleshed out female character with a compelling character arc and personality.#I really like her. Lucy and Atsushi working as make-do parents (very largerly intended. More like siblings who are dating but that sounds–#even worse) was very cute. And I appreciate how the events seemed to set off Atsushi's own reflection on parenthood.#The same doesn't happen in the manga since the chapters are placed in a different order.#Overall this is just an episode that when I was reading the manga for the first time solidified my understanding that me and b/sd have#RADICALLY different views on the world. But now that after three years and having long come to terms with it.#I suppose it's just something that's there.#Ususal notes about the animation just for talks. The lack of budget really shows this episode and in the second half in particular.#It's especially noticeable in backgrounds that are just... Not the stunning backgrounds that usually make b/sd's anime strong point.#So in turn the lack of details comes off as twice as evident as it normally would :/#The whole Atsushi / Tanizaki exchange at the start of the chapter until the headmaster's identity is revealed is completely devoid–#of host which has me just?? What happened here??? A track slowly building up tension is an almost automatic choice I'm just like.#What happened. If it was a deliberate choice it was a very bad one in my humble opinion#On a more positive note I really like whoever drew the characters “background appearence this episode eheh#(you know‚ the more stylized one when they're not on close up)#And the drawings at the end of the episode daz/atsu twilight scene were good. Kyouka's flashback was also good.#That's it :)#random rambles#Oh yeah rip chapter 39 ss/kk scene ig :///

Kamerons lips twitch into a quiet smile as he reads—Can't have you getting bored with me—and catches the brief flick of her eyes toward his mouth. She looks away fast, cheeks flushed, and he pretends not to notice, though it lingers in the air between them like something charged and waiting. When she curls in closer so he can read as she writes, something shifts in him. It's subtle, but it feels like trust. I'd like that. I think you'd be a good partner to take. Or, not partner partner, but—you know. His smile deepens, soft and warm, but he doesn't tease her. He leans in just a little more, voice low and sure. "I know. I'd want to go with you." Then he reads the next line—I'd like to come see your art workshops sometime too. See you in your element.—and something catches in his chest. No one had ever asked that before. "Yeah," he says, a little slower now. "I'd really like that too." He glances over at her, eyes steady. "Guess we've both got some showing-up to do."
Can't have you getting bored with me. Poppy teases, eyes flicking up to his momentarily - her breath catching in her throat as she realises just how close they are now. Eyes flick over his face - lingering on Kameron's lips - and then away, pink rising across her cheeks.
She doesn't know if she's bold enough to make that move, so she returns to her notebook. Not that she writes anything yet - Poppy is held, for just a moment, by the idea that being alone with something beautiful could be her - but she doesn't want to get too swept up in that feeling.
Still. There's maybe no harm in curling in a little towards him so he can read what she writes as she writes it.
I'd like that. Are the words that eventually get written. I think you'd be a good partner to take. or, not partner partner, but - you know.
Does he? Or has she just put her foot in it?
(Probably the latter, the little voice in her head tells her. There is harm in curling towards him).
I'd like to come see your art workshops sometime too. See you in your element. Moving swiftly on.

started watching another home makeover show and it hit me once again how much I want an AU where George and Sapnap are the hosts of a 'siblings getting their own rooms' show (they compete on which room suits their respective kid best) and Dream is one of the cameramen who ended up commenting out loud about something so he ends up being a faceless fan favorite. George does flirt with Dream a lot. Sapnap is very tired of it. They also compete about which room Dream would like the best, which is not the point of the show but in their hearts it is.
#it'll be the kind of show no one expects to succeed but dream's clip goes viral#literally he's not even supposed to be part of the show but everyone wants to hear what he has to say#and it works out well because george and sapnap are obsessed with getting his approval#dream does not have interior design background so he honestly has no idea why anyone listens to him#what he doesn't know is he is VERY GOOD at knowing what the kids want because he's good at listening and also figuring out what they NEED#like there is an episode where this girl wants generic princess stuff but it turns out she just really looks up to her big sister#so dream finds out she likes art and building things with her own hands and there's a whole segment#where you just see his back while this kid is teaching him how to build a castle#and you see george watching from the side COMPLETELY BESOTTED#I NEED TO WRITE THIS FIC#these men in the car makeover show keeps on bantering i feel like it could be flirting#i need to use this energy into something less crazy (dnf is less crazy than these people)#like why did this man program his droid to answer the question 'is donny cute' 😔 and it answered yes but only when he is not talking#boi u just called the beefcake who kept hugging you cute#how am i not supposed to think about dnf
