New marks, new tactics

Lore sighed. She'd been hoping to avoid talking about this.

In recent weeks, Lorelei had been noticing different things about herself. Her usual purple marks had been darkening or disappearing. Her powers were beginning to feel as if there was something more to them than just life force manipulation 🤔. Due to her hidden insecurities surrounding these changes, she'd been keeping a low profile from the boys.

Lore: You wanted something, Mik?

Mik: Was that the only way to get that brand on him? 🫦

Lore: No...but...it was the most effective... avoids his eyes

Mik: Effective and desirable. Must say I'm probably jealous.

Lore: Jealous of what? You already bit into him! Wasn't that enough?

Mik: Maybe not 😈. But I sense it wasn't enough for you either. You've been avoiding us except for debriefing. What's going on?

Lore looks down, trying to hide her face

Mik: You can't hide your face from me forever, frauline. I know you're hiding something. What is it? 🤨

Lorelei relented and looked up at him.

No sign of her previous purple marks. No sign of those pretty purple highlights around her eyes.

Lore: They're gone, Mikhail. My butterflies. My eye marks. gestures to the mark on her nose I wake up one morning and see some kind of stitch across my face. The next week, I see this.

Mik: 👀 The mark on your hand is still there, though.

Lore: It's the only butterfly I have left. Hell, that might disappear sometime soon. Who knows?

Her voice becomes increasingly agitated and distraught

Lore: When I enter a dark room, it's as if the darkness hugs me. I can see in a dark room perfectly now, whereas I couldn't before. Shadows move when I move...

Mik: Isn't that normal?

Lore: You don't get it, Mik! I'm a necro-wielder, a harbinger of death and decay. Why are shadows moving along with me? Why have my marks disappeared? And...these feelings...there's so many of them... 😕

Mik: What kind?

Lore: So many of them. I looked at you guys one way, now I'm looking at you in another. All I can think of is talking with you. Laughing, drinking, laying with you. I can just feel this...this...curiosity. It's consuming!

Mik: And you kept this hidden to yourself, letting it eat away at you? Come on, Morrigan. You're not doing yourself or us any favors doing that.

Lore: Grrr...I know. But...I only just came to terms with my abilities, and now they're changing again... 😒.

Mik: Scary, I know. You're not the only one feeling like that, but you're not gonna know anything by hiding away and burying yourself in work. Live a little. Maybe...get some of that life you're curious about. 😉

Lore: smiles slightly Ha. Ok, boss! Well, it's sunrise now anyway. I've some things to do before the day sets in. I can't resume my search until Wednesday anyway.

Mik: Alright. Remember. You wanna make sense of this, talk to us. Ok?

Lore nodded and headed out of her room towards the shower. Mikhail sighed heavily. He knew how Lore was feeling 😮.

'She has no idea how much I want to jump that guy 😑...these changes are rough....'

But it was something they'd have to get used to. After all, emotional bonds are the glue of the supernatural world. Even the most carnal of pleasures form such bonds. Most just don't know it yet 🤔.

Lorelei took some time to think about what Mikhail had said. He was right. There was no way they could complete this task at their current power level. It was the same as when their powers first show up: you don't know what you're working with, and in truth, you will never know. Each super differs from the next, so this was just another learning curve for all of them.

However, it did prompt Lore to do some searching.

Squaaaawk! The crow that usually sits in the computer room flew back to its perch after its nightly search. On their first days in Ravenwood, Lore quickly realised she could telepathically connect with them. They'd been a great source of comfort for her; Lore may seem tough and whatnot, but deep down she's afraid of this new territory.

flapping noises Squaaaaawk!

Lore: mentally Ugh, can you quit your yapping? I'm trying to think.

Crow: Squaawk! Morrigan scared! Morrigan scared! Powers are changing!

Lore: Thank you for rubbing it in, crowy 😒.

Crow: You know, mistress, you should rely on your buddies a little more. I get the job done better when I rely on my buds! Like that wolf guy. He's always reading books. Ask him for help.

Lore: Yeah I'm not sure...wait. You might be onto something.

typing sounds 'Signs of umbramancy'....'Huh...'

So over the weekend, Lorelei spent some time looking into shadow magic and helping Morgyn out with his new powers.

Mikhail and Minho drew up plans to ensnare Ramona and take her off the playing board. Minho had a plan, but it was going to take some wits and charms to pull it off. It was a plan right up Mikhail's street 🤭.

And who better to tag along for such an assignment?

Mik: Hey pretty boy. You take orders well?

Tae: I'd be a shit businessman if I couldn't. Why?

Mik: If you're not doing anything, come with me and Minho. I'll explain on the way. You might enjoy this.

Tae: Color me intrigued then 🤔.

Lyuo's is kinda fun (ended up loving him so much). I find Ivan's main route surprisingly funny (considering how he is usually). For something really different (and shorter), Mikhail (whose route I got really into reading last year) or Jin.

now i’m curious to lyuo!!! i rarely got a chance to read his events...  i’ll try his route next, then. and yesss, i was thinking about ivan or mikhail. so, is it truly worth to read mikhail’s route? i was curious but end up forgetting about this. i always loved his events...

i really should do a post resuming be my princess (2) eternal kiss routes (japanese party app)... i think everyone knows, but it's different from paid routes... and i really like them... unfortunately a certain voltage inc will never translate the game but i still think people need to know about their routes, it's pretty 😭 but first i need to reread their routes tho...
