Honestly him being a dog is something I never thought of but now I do see it, kind of.

But honestly 😭 if he really was a dog he'd probably be one of those super small ones because if gumball is tiny (around 4ft [1,40cm] or something) imagine tobias who is generally the same height

For my contribution, I always saw gumball as dyslexic. he's definitely neurodivergent (going for ADHD as well but could also be simple hyperactivity, kind of like my brother.) but he's going for dyslexia in my head, especially with the continuous bit of him "not being able to write properly" which is just him missing a few letters or mixing up words.

For Sarah!! Aside from her being quite literally being a fangirl character (I heard about the theory of her being a irl fan somehow turning herself into a cartoon to get in Elmore, hence why she was from "another town".) and this means she's gonna do..weird stuff I always saw her dislike towards anyone that actively goes against gumball (and Darwin) as her enemy

It made sense to me at least, if she's the mock of a fandom and is literally weirdly obsessed with gumball and Darwin, it'd made sense she'd go against anything that could be a potential threat, Tobias stealing "the spotlight" being one of them.

She used to exscuse of the show turning into a corny sitcom but she really just wanted gumball back, I don't think she cares about the sitcom since she's the type to watch them ngl.

So yeah, I always imagined she'd hate the same things those toxic people in fandoms hate, anything that is slightly against their favorite character.

The rest just doesn't care though. Neither for gumball or tobias, like sure gumball has lots of friends, frenemies and people who hate him but aside from rob (literally only does what he does because a) chance to be important and because gumball told him he could be the bad guy b) you gotta go through the main character of you're trying to change the script and the entire world and revolves around one guy.) no one does anything, at least anything like sarah does (loudly complain and attempting murder at this point.)

but for Tobias? They mostly get annoyed by him. They don't feel like they have strong opinions about him and they are all definitely just "friends in school" that after middle school won't talk ever, the only one I see talking to tobias are gumball (followed by Darwin, but Darwin himself wouldn't do much.), ocho(sometimes),bobert and banana joe, like those characters are the only ones who aren't constantly annoyed by Tobias nor ignore him, they do have chats and seem friends too (in the background they hang around a lot too.)

Also about the boykisser energy

I honestly hc him as bi but says he's straight, like he's unconsciously oppressing his like for guys and goes for the girls. He goes for both but God forbid him having any crush on a guy (he'd probably go crazy before accepting him)

Kind of like the opposite of gumball,where I see the guy being open without a care ("gumball loves who he loves." - literally the show creator) and casually telling guys to marry him like with ocho and people going "knew it, you owe me 5 bucks"

just this guy oppressing his part of his sexuality by making everyone think he's the straightest of them all and then literally gumball being cool with both girls and boys but clearly has a crush on someone and even fw crossdressing and roleplaying as a girl
