Chapter Two
Summary: You were a very wild omega. Always running in nature without a care of the world but what will happen to you when one of your runs you saw two lovely Alphas strolling in the forest? (Sorry I’m bad at summaries)
Masterlist
Warnings: Angst
Words: 1,300
You woke up hearing screams in the distance, make you shot up from the bed. You look out from your bedroom window and saw in the distance houses on fire. What’s going on? You thought.
Turning back, you run downstairs to the kitchen, trying to find your mother or father. You found your mother filling a bag with supplies, her face pale as the moon from fear.
“Mother?... What’s happening? Where is father?” you asked confused, your gaze following her quick movements through the kitchen.
Your mother opens a drawer and took a beautiful dagger from it, putting in your hands. “We are under attack! Your father is trying to save as many people he can!” her voice trembles when she talked about your father, tears trying to fall from her delicate eyes but she was trying with all her strength to be strong...to be brave for you.
“What’s attacking us?! And why do I need this?!” you nod to the dagger in your shaking hands.
She turns to you, her eyes wide and full of rage and fear. “By orcs! Y/n! By fucking orcs!” she snarls, making you gasp in surprise. “And the dagger is for you to protect yourself!”
You look down to the dagger, swallowing a lump in your throat. You don’t know if you could bring any harm to anyone, even to a monster like an orc. You were a peaceful creature, always in the middle of nature. Listening to her beautiful song.
Never in your life, you had grabbed a weapon or lifted one. Your father tried to teach you how to use a sword but you didn’t want to. Everyone in the village knew you like a wild omega, always running in nature like a wild animal. They thought that you were one of the most intimidating omega that they ever saw but they didn’t know about your fear of weapons or any kind of violence. It wasn’t because you were weak or a coward. It was because you had seen so much blood when you were five years old.
The man and woman that you call father and mother aren’t your real parents. Your father had found you crying in the middle of a sea of corpses, grabbing tightly your real mother's cold hand. He took you to his home and bathe you and feed you. Since you didn’t have more family, they took you in which brought immense happiness to your new father and mother since she a sterile omega.
A loud bang on the front door interrupted your trail of thoughts. Your father barges in with his arm around his stomach, groaning in pain. You stay still with wide eyes, filled in horror and fear, looking to the blood pouring from his wound.
“My love!” your mother run to him, her shaking hands wrap around his wrist and try to move over so she could see the wound. “I need to clean it! Let me just grab my-” she said while trying to grab some cloths and healing herbs but your father stops her.
“No!... There’s no time for that, my sweet omega...” his voice was weak but full of love, making your mother a sobbing mess. “You need to take Y/n to the nearest town!” he let out a painful groan, resting his back against the chair.
“B..But you will come with us, right?” your mother asked with a tiny voice, large tears running down her soft cheeks.
Suddenly you heard shouts and wicked laughs coming from the other side of the door. You look to your father, hearing a feral growl coming from his throat. He stood up slowly, grabbing the bag that your mother made and throw it to you.
“You two need to go now!” he said while grabbing his sword, hissing as more blood come out from his wound. “Leave by the back door! Follow the path in the forest. It will lead you to the nearest town.” he turns to your mother and kisses her gently. “You need to let me go, my sweet omega...I love you so much.”
Tears were running down your eyes while seeing your parents saying the last goodbye to each other. It broke your heart and you didn’t want your father to die. He had given you so much, protect you from everything and everyone.
Your mother clings to his bloody shirt, whispering ‘i love you’ over and over. Your father looked at you and smile softly. “My sweet child...You have grown into a beautiful and fierce woman...I love you with all my heart.” his words made more tears running down your face.
The orcs begin banging at the front door and your father pushes you two towards the back door. “Go NOW!” with that you and your mother were outside.
You grab her hand and start running into the dense forest, with your mother sobbing and whimpering in despair.
In the distance, you heard your father scream in rage and pain along with an evil laugh from an orc. You continue following the path, creating a big distance between you and the house. Darkness surrounds you, your only light was the silver light from the moon which illuminated the path.
You come to a halt as you were met by a huge cliff. Looking around, you try to see if there was another path but a while you were distracted, your mother walked slowly towards the edge of the cliff. She looks down, her fat tears falling to the ground.
“I found it, mother! It this way-” you gasp when you see her, her eyes full of sorrow and pain. “Mother! Don’t!” you plead, taking a slow step towards her.
“...I can’t leave without him...” with that, she jumps. You let out a cry, running towards the edge but a pair of strong arms caught you and pull you into a warm chest. You begin trashing your arms and legs, crying for your mother and father. Heavy tears soaking your soft cheeks, your body shakes in fear and sorrow.
You took a deep breath and your body becomes still, melting into the person's arms. A familiar scent envelops around you, rich smoky smell with a hit of jasmine but other scent was also there. It was similar to the other but instead of jasmine was lavender which made you relaxed than ever.
You look up and saw the two red-haired elves, looking down at you with concern eyes. “Shhh...It’s okay...” the one who was grabbing said, purring softly which made his chest vibrate. You turn back and bury your face into his neck, taking deep breaths of his lovely scent. Calming your trembling body. Your tears soaking his pale skin and armor.
The elf stood up, with you clingy to him, and begins walking down the path. He and the other elf begin talking in elvish which you didn’t understand, their voices were similar but the one who was holding you was rougher than the other.
Your body and mind begin to take the tool from all the events that occur, making you close slowly your eyes. Letting the sleep take over you while the two elves carry you to the next town.

Tari’s Top Twenty OTPs - #12
OTP: Kili/Tauriel
Fandom: The Hobbit film trilogy
Kili: Kili is perhaps the youngest dwarf in the Company, brash and foolhardy and a little bit ignorant of the dangers of the world. He and his brother Fili are heirs to Thorin and the throne of the lost Erebor, princes without a kingdom, and both have had to grow up a bit on their journey. As the second-born, there is not as much pressure and weight on Kili’s shoulders as there is on Fili’s. He’s allowed to be a little cheekier, a little more coddled and less responsible. But he’s dreamed of seeing his people’s ancient homeland all his life, and desires to become the kind of man he perceives Thorin to be: noble, battle-hardened, a great proud warrior and hero.
Tauriel: At the young age of six hundred, Tauriel is already an accomplished warrior and holds the noble position of captain of the guard of the elven kingdom of Mirkwood, having been taken in by King Thranduil after her parents were murdered by orcs. Tauriel has no love for any manner of foul creature and can be utterly ruthless in pursuing and taking vengeance upon the evils that are taking hold in the wood. She has a strong sense of justice and moral duty, which sometimes puts her at odds with her king, whose isolationist polices frustrate Tauriel, and she is not afraid to criticize and question him. Tauriel also has an inquisitive, gentler side. She’s interested in and cares about things beyond the borders of Mirkwood, and is curious to learn about other peoples and cultures. Above all, Tauriel is compelled to do what she feels is right, even if that means rebelling against her king.
Together: Though members of opposing races that typically mistrust, despise, and even outright hate each other, Kili and Tauriel are largely free of the typical prejudices that come between their peoples. The racism of their forefathers is not yet ingrained into them and so they’re much more curious and intrigued by each other. They can sit down and have polite conversations and swap stories about their travels and cultures and just generally find each other interesting. Kili is the more besotted of the two, and a bit awkward about expressing it, also seeming to realize how impossible her returning his affections should be. Tauriel is mostly confused, amused, and even possibly a little bit mildly flattered by his admiration, though it becomes clear later on that she’s also come to care quite strongly about the dwarf and his well-being, in some fashion. They fall quickly, and hard. Theirs is an innocent, fledgling sort of relationship, not quite fully considered and only in the beginning stages of its story. It remains nothing but a sweet possibility in the end, as their relationship is cut short by the tragedies of war before they can fully realize what they mean to each other.
How I Got Into The Fandom: Being a movie-birthed fan of The Lord of the Rings I just sort of… inherited the Hobbit films as a fandom really. I wasn’t chomping at the bit for the movies to happen but when they finally did you can bet I was right there flailing and fangirling and being super excited for them with the rest.
When I Started Shipping Them: Honestly I was kind of doomed to ship them from the start. I’d heard the rumors about their little romantic plotline before the second film came out and, being that Kili sounded like he was going to be an absolutely precious dork about her and that I completely adore that kind of thing, I supported the ship’s existence almost by default. Collected little bits of fanart here and there. Nothing big. And then I went and got to see Desolation of Smaug. And Kili was absolutely precious about her, just staring at her in awe from the moment he laid eyes on her. And as the movie progressed and Kili and Tauriel interacted they hit more and more of my favorite shippy tropes. I was majorly into them even before the halfway mark and by the end of the film, with their last scene… well, suffice to say they pretty much had me completely. The next evening was spent gleefully diving into the fandom with vigorous abandon.
Why I Love Them: I am super into guys being super into their lady loves and just completely adoring them and admiring them and thinking they’re awesome and not being emasculated by their badassery. Kili and Tauriel have this adorable kind of Gender Role Reversal to their relationship: Tauriel is the stoic badass that swoops in to the rescue and Kili is the damsel in distress who just has stars in his eyes every time he sees her. (The height difference helps cement that.) Add in a healthy dose of culture clash, angst from the fact that they are Star Crossed Lovers from feuding races, and the tragic separation and end to their budding romance, and you have one super-heartwarming narratively doomed ship that will just completely break your heart. Hurts so good though.
Three Favorite Moments:
1. “She walks in starlight in another world...”
Ngh, I could watch this scene forever. The lead-up to this moment is awesome too, with Tauriel choosing to stay behind and heal Kili’s poisoned wound and Kili literally seeing Tauriel in sparklevision. (Well, okay, not quite literally, there is a canon explanation that elves’ true forms are very shiny and full of light and those on the edge of death can see it.)
Once things have calmed and Kili is out of danger, he lays on the table semi-delirious and then, unexpectedly, calls Tauriel’s name.
Surprised, Tauriel just smiles and tells him to rest. Kili, still not quite conscious, assumes he must be having a dream, and whispers reverently about how the real Tauriel is far, far away from him, walking in starlight. He reaches for her hand, brushing her fingers with his, and wonders aloud if she could have ever loved him.
Tauriel’s expression pinches with emotion before we cut away.
2. “If this is love, I do not want it.”
After the Battle of the Five Armies is over, Thranduil comes upon Tauriel, kneeling by the dead Kili’s side and mourning him.
“They want to bury him,” she says miserably.
The contempt Thranduil held for Tauriel’s feelings is gone, and he can only feel pity for her now. Pity as she begs him to take this emotion from her, cries out that she doesn’t understand why it hurts so much.
“Because it was real,” he tells her gently.
Numb, Tauriel lets her tears fall, leans down and kisses Kili goodbye, sliding the runestone he gave her back into his hands and weeping softly.
3. Saving him at the river
Kili, impulsive action-taker that he is, has taken an arrow to his thigh in his reckless attempt to open the sluice gate and allow the company to escape.
He collapses, and the orcs begin to descend on him. But all of a sudden an arrow flies in from offscreen, killing the nearest attacker.
Kili’s head whips around and he stares in awe and wonder as Tauriel charges in, accompanied by a dramatic swell of her theme. A worried expression on her face, she engages the orcs, slicing through them, only once distracted by Kili’s cry of pain.

Perfect and Handsome
Oh hey fic about Chubby Magnus to go with the pic I drew because I lack impulse control. Enjoy!
“Does it look okay?”
Magnus posed and postured in front of the mirror, looking at himself from every angle possible.
“It looks fine big guy, you’ll be one of the more handsome looking folks there,” Taako teased from the bed.
“But... it looks okay?”
He looked again into the mirror, trying to decide how he felt about the groomsman tunic Carey had picked out. It was very traditional, Carey’s parents were pretty uptight about their little girl’s wedding, and had insisted the wedding party don the typical formal garb. Killian had been very accommodating of their expectations, because Orc weddings traditionally had a lot less fancy clothes and a lot more furs and pelts. The tunic was nice enough. He would have worn whatever the girls had asked him to, but he couldn’t help but feel a bit unsuited for this particular outfit.
Read more below the cut, or on AO3.
To begin with, the pale beige-and-blue color scheme (which looked lovely on Carey and Killian’s dark blue scales and olive green skin) did not do the ruddy complexion of his face any favors. He looked redder than ever in the pastels they had picked out.
In addition, the swan-neck collar dipped low, almost past his sternum, and even the undertunic did nothing to stop a thatch of thick chest hair from peeking out. It was like an animal was popping it’s head out to have a look around.
Of course the real issue wasn’t the color or the cut. Magnus had worn plenty of unflattering clothes in his life, and usually he couldn’t care less.
The real problem was the sash.
A formal tunic was paired with a belt or sash that tied around the waist. This particular tunic came with a sash that was meant to be tied directly over the stomach, and was causing some problems.
“I don’t look bad?” Magnus asked again, trying to smooth the tunic over the curve of his belly. If he tied the sash where it was meant to sit, it went over the widest part of his stomach, which was extremely tight and uncomfortable for him. But when he tied it under, where he would tie his belt normally, his belly seemed to stick out and hang over the sash. “I don’t look… uh…”
Sliding off the bed, Taako came over and watched Magnus turn in front of the mirror, smoothing and pressing and checking every inch of himself.
“Mags…” Taako soothed, putting a hand on Magnus’ shoulder. “You look fine.”
“I don’t look….” he cut himself off with a sharp intake of breath before saying it, but Taako knew what he was thinking to say. Taako leaned up and kissed him on the cheek.
“You look handsome,” Taako said firmly, “You look perfect.”
Magnus sighed. “I know it’s not about me, but I just don’t know if I can stand up there in front of the whole Bureau wearing something that… makes me look like this.”
“Look like what?” Taako replied. “Handsome and perfect?”
“No,” Magnus huffed. “Fat.”
“Mango, honey,” Taako said, moving in front of the mirror and taking Magnus’ face into his hands, pulling him down to kiss his forehead. “I love you. I love you and you’ve got a bit of a belly, and that’s okay. Absolutely no one at the wedding is going to care or even notice, you’re basically window dressing next to the brides to be.”
“The sash makes me feel like I have a big sign pointed at my gut,” Magnus muttered, grabbing Taako’s hands. “I’ll distract everyone.”
“The only person you’re going to distract is me,” Taako answered. “Because honestly how am I going to handle myself when you’re standing there looking so gorgeous? I might faint.”
Magnus smiled, but he still looked unsure. Slowly, Taako let his hands drop away from Magnus’, coming to rest softly on the soft curve of Magnus’ hips.
“All cleaned up nice,” Taako hummed, running his hands up and down, “My rough and tumble boy, dressed up fancy. I love it. You’re like a gorgeous present on Candlenights.”
“Taako,” Magnus chuckled, “You don’t have to humor me.”
“Humor you?” Taako cried. “I would do no such thing. Taako is not interested in making people feel better about themselves just because. No no no, Taako appreciates beauty when he sees it, and right now-” he squeezed Magnus’ sides softly to accentuate his point. “Taako likes what he sees.”
Magnus didn’t answer, and Taako took that as an opportunity to put his hand on the apex of Magnus’ belly. He felt it rise and fall as Magnus sighed heavily.
“Forgetting about the fact that I adore you,” Taako continued, “Everyone at the Bureau loves you. They’re family. Absolutely none of them are going to look at you and say ‘Oh, well, Burnsides has really let himself go.’ It’s not going to happen.”
“They won’t say it,” Magnus muttered.
“They won’t think it either,” Taako answered, “Why would they? What they’ll say is ‘Oh Magnus it’s so great to see you, you look great as always!’ and what they’ll think is ‘Magnus looks great! So happy and healthy and strong, just like he’s always been.’ Because you are.”
“I’ve gained weight since the Bureau,” Magnus said.
“Yeah being retired, living with a world-class chef, and not literally running for your life all the time will do that,” Taako admitted, “But so what? Who the fuck cares what you weigh? You were chubby back then too.”
“Yeah but back then there was no time to think about it,” Magnus admitted. “I’ve got nothing but time now. It’s just… I wasn’t always heavy.”
“I know honey, but having a body that resets itself after a year will do that,” Taako answered softly. “It’s easy to stay one way when you literally can’t change. We were all like that.”
“But when I settled down with Julia after the rebellion I gained weight,” Magnus continued, “And no one ever said anything, but I knew they were thinking ‘Oh, Magnus has gone soft in married life.’ I was the leader of the rebellion, but afterwards people didn’t treat me the same.”
“Maggie honey,” Taako said, softly patting Magnus, “Maybe they weren’t treating you the same way because they no longer had to worry about a life and death situation, and could go back to just being normal folks again?”
“I.. I guess,” Magnus said softly.
“There is literally not a person in this Plane who would think less of you for gaining a little weight,” Taako insisted. “If anything, they would be happy for you, finally being able to relax and live your fucking life. And if anyone did say anything, I’d turn them into a frog or something.”
“Don’t turn our friends into frogs,” Magnus urged.
“If they give you shit about your weight they’re not friends,” Taako replied firmly. “You’re still very healthy, you’re extremely happy, and you could still bench press a bull if you wanted to. Anyone who gives you shit about your waistline does not have what’s important in mind.”
“And what’s important?” Magnus asked.
“You,” Taako answered easily. “You, Magnus Burnsides, as a person.”
Taako moved so Magnus could see himself in the mirror again, and Taako wrapped his arms around his chest, pressing into him from behind.
“You know what I see when I look at you?” Taako whispered. “I see a warrior. I see someone who helped protect hundreds of worlds. Got a few battle scars to prove it as well.” Magnus gingerly put his hand to his face, to the raking of scars left by the Power Bear in their final confrontation. “And I see a soft, caring man, who put the needs of others before himself for so long that he feels guilty he finally earned the right to enjoy life.” Taako kissed Magnus’ cheek softly. “And I see the love of my life, who I adore and would love no matter what size he was, but I admit I’m fond of the plush model I have now.”
Magnus blushed, and Taako tightened his arms around him.
“Thanks Taako,” Magnus said, putting a hand to his belly.
Taako kissed his neck. “I’m just standing in my truth right now big guy,” he hummed against Magnus’ skin. “You’re very easy to love. Now, ah-” he let his hands wander down Magnus’ curves softly, taking Magnus’ hand with them. “It would be an absolute shame if something were to happen to these nice duds before the wedding. Maybe you should... take them off.”
At that Magnus laughed heartily as Taako’s dexterous fingers untied the sash.
“Right now?”
“Listen, future Taako is gonna need to figure out how to get you out of this thing when we are very drunk and very full of cake,” Taako teased, slowly pulling up the fabric of the tunic. “I need the practice. Because you’re irresistible right now, and I will want to pounce on you the second the reception is over. Maybe a few times during.”
Taako managed to get his hands under the folds of the tunic, and was gently caressing Magnus’ stomach. He traced the warm soft swell of it, and Magnus released a very content sigh. He knew Taako loved him. He knew he was loved, and that his appearance didn’t affect that, but Taako’s open affection and praise for him did a lot to dissuade his worries.
This wedding was going to be a lot of fun.
Then Taako slowly pulled away, taking hold of the hem of the tunic and pulling Magnus back towards the bed.
“Be careful,” Magnus laughed as he followed the pull. “I’ll have to explain to Carey what happened if you ruin it.”
“What can I say?” Taako admitted, “I’m eager to show you how much I love every bit of you. Now please take it off. Carey doesn’t want to find out I ripped it off you in attempt to kiss every inch of you.”
“Please save that for after the reception,” Magnus giggled, leaning in for a kiss on the lips.
Taako grinned mischievously. “If you insist.”
Let me know if you liked this and I may be convinced to write some follow up sexytimes.
