Still, you didn’t bother. Tooru always assured you of your worth and how perfect you were for him in every sense––the most beautiful in his eyes.  

Tooru delivered an impactful serve, and the crowd cheered including the other girls beside you. Even from afar, he sent you a smile with a matching flirty wink. The girls squealed with so much giddiness, probably thinking it was for them.

He cast another glance at you, which you returned primly.  

You were always his number one fan. You might not be on par with him when it came to Volleyball, but you didn’t mind being his cheerleader, his anchor and the source of his strength whenever he’d feel inadequate.  

You were secured and not moved by how many fangirls he had until now. The reporter pulled Tooru to the side together with a known female Volleyball player who’s around the same age as him.  

The two of them were the top players of their teams–the most competent. The reporter and everybody else simply admired seeing the both of them side by side.  

“Oh! They look so good together!” You heard those around you murmured.  

“Maybe they’re dating...” The others speculated. 

A bitter sting gnawed inside you. The image of Tooru happily playing Volleyball with a partner who could really challenge him head-to-head was making it difficult for you to breathe.  

You were lost in your thoughts when you suddenly felt a hand around your wrist, gently dragging you somewhere.  

T-Tooru?  

He brought you by his side and laced his arm firmly around you. 

“Practice and perseverance are totally the keys in winning but for me it’s not just that,” Tooru responded to the reporter. “We all need a lucky charm, I tell you.” He pulled you closer to him, shifting his gaze to lovingly study your face, saying, “And I got mine right here.”  

You blushed, feeling the heat crawling all over your face. The crowd squealed and hollered yet they didn’t matter in that moment.  

The reporter ended the interview with lighthearted teasing directed at you and Tooru, prompting the start of the last match.  

“How ‘bout a good luck kiss, huh?” He teased.  

“W-What’re y-” You weren’t even able to finish as he already placed a sweet peck on your lips. “Tooru!” You complained when he parted, and he replied by playfully sticking his tongue out.  

Your fingers travelled your lips. Perhaps, you’ve got nothing to worry about after all.  

KUROO

It’s a big day for you and your boyfriend. It would be the first time he’d be giving a welcome remarks to open his institution’s black-tie event. You were even proud to be the one who did his speech.  

As his extra special plus one, he never left your side with both of you just keeping things, hands to yourself, acting as a professional and sober couple. 

However, you were bothered to say the least. You always knew that you had a fine boyfriend. He looked straight out of a novel after all. Tall, handsome and with a good suit to complete the look.  

Tetsurou seemed like every billionaire bad boy in the books you’d encounter in bookstores’ new adult section. It’s no wonder that the girls in his company party all had their eyes on him like he’s a piece of hunky meat they’d jump on at any moment. 

Deep inside, you’d want to be swallowed by the universe below. You were never insecure about your looks, well, maybe sometimes you were like right now! Were you not even pretty enough for them to keep their attraction to themselves? Were you not playing the eye candy part so well?  

Do you even look good beside him? 

Black dress, pretty face and hypnotic smile all amplified by the sweet scent of honey—you’re Kuroo’s most prized possession, not that he treats you as an object. Well, yes, to put it simply you’re the object of his desires, adoration and affection.  

Wasn’t it obvious that you were with him? Yeah right, call him petty, but he couldn’t bear the eyes of these bastards on you.  

Hell, pretty was even an understatement when it came to you. As much as he wanted you to be revered for being the goddess that you are, he still couldn't accept all the gawking you’re receiving and him being disregarded like he wasn’t even there when he’s the boyfriend, the future husband and the forever person.  

He promised he’d behave himself and keep the PDA on low since today’s a formal event, but it looked like he won’t be keeping up with that anymore. 

Jolted, your shoulders rose as Tetsu slithered his arm around your waist. He tugged you closer to him so you were both attached to the hip. You just froze in surprise when he leaned, placed a kiss on your forearm and dropped another one on your shoulder.  

You felt the heat rushing to your face. Your eyes held his as they met. “What...what are you doing?” you whispered and he propped his chin on your shoulder.  

“Showing them who you belong to.” 

Internally, you’re partying. You’d be lying to say that you didn’t want that because you definitely want to show all these girls that Tetsu would only have his eyes on you. “Okay, just don’t overdo it.” 

A lopsided grin appeared on his face. “Not very sure about that.” 

BOKUTO

At last, your fiancé, superstar athlete Bokuto Koutaro, will be arriving home tonight. It has been several months since he’s been away to train and to participate in the Olympics. Now, he’ll be coming home after playing with his utmost best.  

You were standing, waiting for him in anticipation at the airport. This was the moment you’d been waiting for and your face immediately lit up after seeing him walk from the arrivals. His eyes were still sleepy with his pillow still latched around his neck.  

In anticipation, you took a step forward approaching him, but the reporters and his fans beat you to it. Now, he’s swarmed with the crowd taking pictures and asking him questions. Some of them were even bumping into you and all you could do was watch. You were just a mere ordinary citizen, lurking in the shadows of those who admire him.  

You clutch on your chest. You were truly happy for him. Genuinely happy for the recognition he’s receiving. He deserved every bit of it, but...How you’d wish to be closer to him. Be the home he goes back to where he could be just Koutarou, the loving and silly boy you came to love. You just missed him so much. 

A bitter smile appeared on your face, surrendering to your fate until his eyes met yours across the sea of people. He glowed radiantly, beaming at the sight of you. Without hesitation and despite everybody else around, he made a way for himself towards you. 

With so much excitement, you yelped as he hugged you tight and carried you that your legs hooked around him in reflex. Koutarou peppered kisses over your face cooing so lovely that he finally got to see and be with his most adorable Y/N. You giggled, getting a little ticklish with his kisses.  

“Babe, babe! Not here!” You protest in middle of chuckling. “There are people around.” 

Koutarou pouted. “But I miss you so much.” 

“Me too,” you said in a wide grin and he giggled like a school kid finally getting his favorite toy as present.  

He rubbed his nose against yours. “Let’s go home!”

AAAAAOMG UR TWST OC IS SO ADORABLE?? i'm absolutely in love with eden sm (+ his design?? the star eyes and the wings are my favorite,, i wanna smooch all his tattoos!) and i hope it's okay to ask a few questions about him... (I KNOW U SAID IT WAS OKAY BUT I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE 😭 i'm genuinely interested in knowing more!)

1) does he have anyone in the twst cast that he tolerates/likes? i know he's part of the whole harem thing but is there anyone he doesn't necessarily mind being around (or even sharing with the prefect?)

2) do grim and eden have a good relationship? i would assume so since they're living both with one another but do they just get along with each other for the prefect's sake or are they actually best buds? (๑ > ᴗ < ๑)

(little dumb idea but i think it would be so cute if the prefect treated the two as if they were all like a little family! eden and prefect being the two parents and grim their rambunctious kid lmao,, i would imagine the others not being so happy about it (っ‘ω`c))

Had to get one of those wheels ive seen going around where you put the oc and how they feel about the character and how the characters feel back about them, but with a twist lol (most of them are haters).

The ones he are most tolerant with are grim, ace, deuce, jack and kalim. Only one he could possible share with would either be kalim, jack or deuce, because of how he sorta is annoyed by ace.

Of course cant forget how he feels about you :) he thinks you are very very very special and he loves you a lot <3

He likes grim a lot, seeing as grim isn't one of the students that is oh so annoying. He warms up to the monster, seeing how gently you take care of grim, wanting to do the same. It feels, domestic, in his opinion.

Grim likes Eden a lot too, he has never belittled him, he has always made sure to feed grim along with Eden being very warm (and therefore very nice to sleep on). In grims opinion, he thinks you should go with Eden, cuz he is a good candidate for marriage (grim has been bribed with love, affection, and tuna).

He takes good care of the cat son, making sure he is healthy and happy.

Now onto pda. Eden are only okay with you touching the wings, the tattoo and the core, being as they are quite sensitive. The scar is still off limits, but maybe if you make him warm up to you even more you might be able to-

He loves when you help him with his wings, it's one of the best feelings out there. Fo mind that only you (and grim) can touch the wings, anyone else is off limits, ESPECIALLY ROOK HE IS FORBIDDEN TO TOUCH THEM.

Eden facts!! He has lil "ear-holes" like birds, just behind the feathers. Be careful around that part when you help him with his feathers, otherwise you might have a pouty and angry Eden on tour hands.

His eyes also glow in the dark! It's the scariest during the nightly snack runs down to the kitchen, seeing him suddenly stare at you, but you slowly get used to it!

You don't know where the extra eyes sometimes come from tho...

Wednesday starts travelling & is writing viper books, both are still in love but having some independance from eachother after being so close in such intense situations & still sending letters & calling eachother. A bad movie adaptation of viper series is made, enid rants about it on stream. -> Wednesday does a remake of bad Viper movie & Enid has a major role & some of other nevermore friends are in it -> Wednesday starts acting/directing etc & becomes a horror scream queen & gets super popular and is also known as super focused and workaholic. wenclair start dating by mid to end of 2nd year! Its also the year when Wednesday finishes the book Hyden truth and gets it published around the time the 2nd semester stars.

The marriage happens right after the proposal (both happening in third year, near the end of the actual lunal rite) with maybe a day or two difference just for them to get better from their wounds. Its also the year that the bad adaption of Hyden truth gets made and showcased.

Wenclair and a few of the gang make their own lil remake by themself after graduation. So its not that good of a quality but the effort is shown. Its posted in Enid's old abandoned youtube channel.

The same summer the remake is made, Wednesday makes and publishes her lil short story book that is going to start the monsterfucker allegations in a year or two.

The announcement of Lunal Curse being adapted isnt when the wenclair ldr ended tho. The 'exile' ended when Wednesday finally sent the final drafts of the book Lunal curse and has it published, she then goes to pack her bags and runs back to enid.

ONLY FRIENDS ENDED OMG. I'm glad I wont be spending every moment waiting for saturday to come around but boy do I have some thoughts.

-SANDRAY ENDED BEAUTIFULLY GOD BLESS. they confirmed their bi4bi situation in literally tHE.BEST.WAY.POSSIBLE like,,, Kiera Knightley?????????? AND THEN THEY DANCED TOGETHER skjshshshsh SO ADORABLE I WILL LITERALLY EAT ROCKS I HATE GAY PEOPLE SM. Ray making everything neat and clear to Boeing while Sand stood in back looking all smug and shit had me jumping in my seat. ALSO WHAT THE FUVK I was not expecting the three of them to actually kiss. It was hot, yes, but it still caught me so off guard.

Sand kissing Top was something I didnt not know I needed. Top has never looked more scandalized and I love it.

Speaking of Top, I skipped through pretty much all topmew scenes. It felt like they were shoving their relationship down our throats. Like I get it. They're happy. they also took up so much screen time THAT COULD HAVE BEEN USED TO FIX MY MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR ISSUE. Boston.

You're telling me that you made me bulid an emotional connection to this man only for you to LITERALLY leave him on the side of the streets???? It felt so unsettling. I respect how Nick walked away, realising his self worth and shit slay go king, but at the same time I hate that the last scene we got of Boston was of him being on the streets, lonely and friendless despite trying so hard. Why didnt we get to see his growth in New York, why didnt we get to see him happy, why didnt we get to see Nick's growth, why didnt they get their happy ending, why weren't they included in the final scene when Cheum and April, two people most of us have little to no attachment to, were??? It felt like the creators really tried, gave up and then proceeded to just pretend Boston and Nick were never really a part of the story at all. It felt so incomplete.

I also would have loved to know what Boeing's final goal was. The creators made him do way to much only for him to be, again, cast to the side and forgotten.

The only thing that went right was Sandray and for that reason I shall sleep well tonight.

Taking a trip down colorism's memory lane after the Natlan teaser, and why I'm not as bothered as I used to be.

I know everyone's got complaints about Natlan's "sunlight challenged" cast rn, but I remembered getting annoyed that Kaeya and Xinyan were the only dark skinned playables ingame before Sumeru dropped, because they were the only dark skinned characters we ever saw in the game, like they were an endangered species whose descendants are constantly under the threat of being whitewashed.

I could've had a similar issue to having (so far) four dark skinned Sumeru natives as playables, but I just loved the lore in Sumeru sm that I didn't care about the number, especially when Sumeru's end goal/epilogue was to facilitate opportunities for education and improved livelihoods for the desert people. Ntm that all four are lovely personalities I adore with all my heart.

And as I write all this...

I suddenly realize that it wasn't the lack of skin color variety or even the climate-related skin pigmentation inaccuracy that was bothering me back then. These were nitpicks and pet peeves I had in light of not finding anything genuinely interesting or charming about the game.

In general, I was just...so gd bored of the filler-y vibe of the first 3 nations before Sumeru - because I knew what to expect of Liyue (China), Mondstadt stopped being so interesting once Dvalin came to his senses, and Inazuma was such a huge timewaster I hated with a seething fury that I even disdainfully called it Weeaboo Land.

My Genshin gaming experience before Sumeru was a toxic meringue of mediocrity and lazy writing that I would force myself to sit through, because there were plenty of other characters and lore that kept me riveted, but the creative direction of the game's main story itself was threatening to put me to sleep because things would get dramatic, only to be resolved either by a deus ex machina or by nothing of lasting consequence sticking around long enough to be a genuine cause for concern with the main cast. It was just so...meaningless.

IOW, the colorism in Genshin was the tip of the iceberg for every other thing I found offensive, unreasonable, and unjustifiable about the game.

Sumeru was my first breath of fresh air since we left Mondstadt and Venti.

All I'm trying to say is, to me, the quality of the writing and the atmosphere of the game improved vastly...only when Hoyo was able to broaden its cultural horizons while working on Sumeru.

I can't speak for Fontaine because it was a thoroughly mixed bag of good and bland toast, but it definitely ended strong with Canticles of Harmony.

If Natlan can pull off the same quality of writing skill and world building (and this completely depends on their lead writer for this region), the colorism is no issue for me at all.

It's a hot take, but after what I've been through as someone who wants consistent and comprehensible writing to appear more frequently in future updates, I'm just happy for the writing to make sense and have just a little bit more fun and non-tonedeaf whimsy once in a while.

I simply don't want to be unhappy as a longtime Genshin player.

I want to enjoy this game and explore it and have fun without getting hung up on something.

Ergo I don't want to be exhausted seeing every contradiction and plothole in Genshin jump out at me.

I can't turn my brain off to those, the same way people can't ignore the colorism and misrepresentation on display.

We all have our priorities, and the written content is mine.

So understand that, for me, Himeko's Mavuika's fair complexion and the slight shade of dark tanning that doesn't go all the way up in saturation for the new cast, is only second to the writing for Natlan's situation and its background lore. And I truly wish that when we reach 5.0, the writing captivates us all.

I'm not asking for much. Just sense. And less cynicism and malice from our two spotlight characters. Because it honest to God drains my energy to hate on something that Hoyo treasures and milks a lot.

oh, these Ransom/Reader headcanons are melting my heart 🥰😩😍

I have about one - set after Reader have given birth (and they are together for some time). Ransom is home, spending time with his family after finishing small project, but before that he took part in movie that had big 'award' potential. While Ransom is still cocky as hell, he tells Reader he doesn't care about awards and recognition and even is at peace with being known as 'that actor who married his one night stand'. But Reader secretly keeps up with nominations because she really liked the script and the cast was lovely - she met them while being few times on set.

So, one day the nominations are announced (it could be not even Oscar, just well-known and somewhat prestige award) and Ransom got one. Reader is all over the moon and immediately runs to Ransom whom she left in the kitchen with baby. She met with sight of ruffled Ransom and laughing baby in his arms covered in baby food which also landed on Ransom's T-shirt. Reader forgots about the award, because she MUST snap a picture of this adorable madness.

They clean everything, Ransom ask why she was screaming before she came to the rescue. Reader finally tells him about an award and he is slightly annoyed (don't believe him, his ego is boosted by the news) and goes on rant about how he 'doesn't care, besides actor X has a better chances'. Reader with this face 🙄 offers a bet - if he wins the award, he has to post that picture she took in the kitchen.

Let's just say that after some time, a very cute picture appears on his SM account with caption 'This is how I learned news about getting nominated...' 😅🥺

“Ran, are you watching the pre-awards season?” You called over your shoulder, watching him as carried and cooed at your daughter, bouncing her in his arms.

He had gotten home a few days ago after finishing a small project and attending a premier for his new movie. It was one of the longer stays away since Ellie had been born, but given that he was going to be going into a restful period soon, he didn’t mind.

“Babe, I’m a good actor but even I can’t handle that over-gloried bullshit.” Ransom rolled his eyes, taking himself and Ellie to the kitchen. “I have better things to do, like feeding Ellie belly some mashed blueberries.”

“She likes carrots now!” You called over your shoulder, watching the announcements come in for notifications without Ransom. “And bananas!”

“Sweet girl,” you listened to Ransom speaking to your daughter, your lips forming a soft smile when you heard her coo in response, “you are getting so big.”

“Do you want to know if you’re nominated?”

“There’s better actors!” He called back, half-heartedly denying you.

Still, you focused on the lists as they came out until the categories Ransom could be nominated for, had appeared. You watched it all unfold, the nominations until his name had appeared and was confirmed to be in three categories.

Your excitement was bubbling, and you had quickly departed the living room to head for the kitchen. You slid into the area and stopped, a giggle falling from your lips when you took in the sight of Ransom and Ellie, her mashed food stained on his clavicle and on white shirt. He had looked pleased, impeccably pleased by her chattering and the way she had pat her hands on his chest.

“Are you feeding her?” You slipped your phone out of your back pocket and snapped a few pictures. “Or is she feeding you?”

“What’s wrong, baby?” Ransom turned toward you, eyeing you up and down. “You came in here with a fire under your tight ass.”

You opened the camera app and hit the record button, making sure you got it all before you told him the great news. “You’ve been nominated Ransom. You’ve been nominated three times?”

“Three times?” Ransom had furrowed his brows and then smiled charmingly. “We were nominated three times, Ellie belly.”

Ransom hugged her tightly and swayed back and forth with her, her soft giggles the soundtrack to his movements.

“And this is how Ransom Drysdale found out he was nominated for three awards…” you spoke over the camera, ending the recording when Ransom kissed her cheek.

LUCIFER

Lucifer has jurisdiction over sinners who have either been treated unjustly in life or thought themselves above the universe/deities. he keeps to himself, and he's always seen with tear tracks on his face. it's debated whether they're scars from the fall or if he's just constantly crying over something. he's the most lenient of the 7 sins, and he takes heavy favour over the more defenseless or innocent sinners he thinks deserved salvation. he pretends to live in Purgatory, saving lost souls to reclaim his place as an archangel.

MAMMON

mammon however is well aware hes hot shit, absolutely adores it. he NEEDS attention, and it was the whole reason he was cast from heaven. he fought along side lucifer because he wanted the stories in both heaven and hell, he wanted to be known as a rebelled warrior, and he is. he's no longer a warrior in hell. he's feared but Mammon does not fight, instead he sends his loyal imps and elves off to do the fighting for him. his corner of hell treats him like god, something Lucifer resents him for, and he likes to joke he's more a glutton than anything.

LEVIATHAN

Leviathan to put him lightly is a miserable bitch. he sees everything the other sins and the princes have that he's never even liked until now, sees how happy it seems to make them, and he internalizes that. for centuries. it's insufferable. despite that, the demons he rules over adore him. they're just as miserable as he is and he does do his best to provide, and when he does he does WELL. whatever the product is there's more than enough for every little serpent and siren he can see. despite being so miserable, he really does love his so-called subjects. he likes to think it's the one thing he has over the others.

ASMODEUS

Asmodeus is a picky one. his list of subjects he respects is few and far between, it's borderline impossible to win him over. that being said he's very sweet, and his section of hell is almost an exact replica of King Solomon's temple. this part of hell is where you can find most decent bars and clubs, most of which based off his likeness

BEELZEBUB & BELPHEGOR

Beelzebub and Belphegor, because I'm biased, work in tandem. they fucking hate each other and they can't cooperate to save their souls, but they've found humans fall to temptation faster if both sins are involved. Beelzebub does the hard stuff and Belphegor finishes the deals. (Belphegor tried this tactic with mammon many many centuries ago and promptly gave up trying when mammon insisted they refer to him the way his subjects do.) they cant be left alone anymore because the one time they were Beelzebub nearly lost a wing. SATAN

Satan is the fun one since again I'm biased. she is lucifers daughter. she's the youngest of the sins and the most ruthless, she is the epitome of eldest daughter rage and i love her so much. she absolutely despises Lucifer for creating her, and despises the rest of the sins just as much, mostly for past "you're just like him" comparisons.

for me, top smosh memory this year would be anthony coming back rly. bcos before that, my hyperfixation had faded a lot over the years, and as much as i kept up w the cast and SOME content, i wasnt active in the fandom anymore.

but the second the news dropped abt ian and anthony buying back smosh, every bit of that hyperfixation reemerged in my brain. and that led me here, back to smoshblr, and i am so glad for it bcos ive made sm great friends!! truly been a great experience

pidge and hunk are such an adorable duo to me, especially in vf with their already established relationship i love them sm not to mention how protective they are of eachother, i mean sure the vf cast is protective of everyone but i mean have you seen the way hunk called out to pidge once wade’s lions got a hit on him? not to mention when the man got ELECTROCUTED, hunk was on him asap (i refuse to believe pidge walked away from that instantly, check my buddy’s @toasthoneyandstardust rant about it if i were to start ranting, i dont think i’d stop)

they’d do basically everything together early on like train, clean up the lions, work on maintenance together but also on their days off they’d just talk and talk about literally anything and turn it into a 5 hour rant like how penguins can’t fly to keith’s new haircut (im sorry love but the mullet was NOT it) and if they were too busy saving the world from lotor or wade then they’d spend nights reading or watching movies to catch up for lost time

keith lost count how many times he’s had to wake both of them up from the couch the morning after and has plenty of photos of the cadets joining them in on their nightly movie or game night sessions or even as far as late night reads (but also can you really blame them? hunk has the best narrator voice and can imitate almost every accent at least somewhat decently, ignoring how everytime he does it his voice cracks so badly it sounds like he’s a teenager again)

My fall 2023 anime thoughts

Another season in the books! Like last fall, this one was jam packed with tons of amazing stuff (fall 22 is still gonna be like the One I look back on like "WHAT THE HELL HOW WERE THEIR SO MANY TOP TIER SHOWS") and a lot of new favs! To keep my streak goin, here's my end of season thoughts dealie! You may notice a trend for all three, and to quote my bestie when I said all my favs are about gay girlies, "a reflection of the self."

I'm in Love with the Villainess - I adore the books so I was really looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. A super faithful adaptation with an AMAAAAZING cast, oh my god I cannot put into words how good the ENG dub cast does with this. Rae and Claire the most iconic. Altogether it feels like a celebration of queer joy, and for that alone it holds a special place in my heart.

The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess - This one I watched while reporting on how each ep went to my bestie, cuz the books are a major big fav for them and they waited til the whole season was done to watch, which made for an interesting watch as I would be enjoying an episode / hoping it was a good daptation as I haven't read the books yet. This one got me with that Lycoris stress, even if the actual series was more silly and fun and not very stressful like the back half of Lycoris. Just that "I am so invested in this to go good." Komari is baby and I love Vill so much. Also love when a gay girlie fantasy anime like this or MagiRevo has just awful awful men as villains for our girlies to kick the asses of it's very cathartic.

Stardust Telepath - THIS WAS SO CUTE AND PRECIOUS AND SWEET. CGDCT anime about a rocket making club. Umika is so precious this anxious mess I love her sm. All of the four mains are so sweet AND a ton of side characters were too. Some of the romantic scenes made me ugly cry. I love love love series about healing, and this I think is a great example of one where people are hurting and then heal together.
