one reason why i hate that pre-crisis kara died during COIE is because her death robbed me of seeing what her dynamic would have been like with oracle!babs.

i think kara—someone who is so stubborn and headstrong, and who didn't even tolerate her actual employers criticizing her when she showed up late or did bad work—would let babs get on her ass precisely one time before going, "right. i love you, but this just isn't going to work," and then fucking off to finish whatever is it that they were working on by herself.

it could be an incredibly low-stakes mission and still the moment babs tries pushing kara to do something her way, kara would take her earpiece out and flick it 50 miles in a random direction.
