Hello :) I hope you have a great start to the weekend! I have such a cool idea: Chris, Ashley, Josh, and Sam decided to go relax on the river. They decided to swim on a big air mattress (either the four of them or Chris and Josh), but then they fell asleep, later woke up, and were carried away by the river. I'll leave the rest to you. It's a very comical situation, and I'm curious how your characters will solve this problem 😁🤭
catch me catching up on prompts ;)c
There was a hushed kind of silence that came over them as the reality of the situation sunk in, which...considering who they were, just, in general, really spoke volumes for the seriousness of it all.
The details of how they'd gotten there were hazy at best. Fuzzy. Unimportant. Sam had suggested a day in the great outdoors, something something something, the guys had produced an air mattress instead of sleeping bags, something something something, a stream had been found, something something something, "Wouldn't it be funny if..." something something...something.
And now they were here.
No one was panicking (which was its own sort of weird), a resigned sort of calm having come over them. They just sat on the air mattress as it bobbed in the water, careful not to move too much, lest it overturn and send them into the depths below.
Oh, there were depths, by the way. Deep ones. The stream they'd set the mattress down in had barely been enough to wet their ankles, but...well, things had changed. Apparently.
"Hey Josh," Sam began as the mattress bumped up against the object they'd been nearing for the past however-long.
"Hey Sam?" he answered.
"Just wondering, for, y'know, no reason at all, but...what was in those brownies you gave us at lunch?"
Shielding his eyes against the sun, Josh stared up and up and up at the massive freighter they'd come up against, the mattress still calmly bobbing beneath them. "No idea why that might be pertinent to the situation we've found ourselves in," he said, right as Chris pointed to what appeared to be a life raft above them, helpfully stating, "Holy crap, there's a mummy in that there boat!"
"I ate that whole brownie, too," Sam said, shaking her head. "The whole thing."
#yeyouniverse-cyy#six sentence weekend#queenie writes supermassive#drug mention tw#well hello!!! i hope YOUR weekend is off to a great start too! :D#hehehehe this prompt really gave me a good laugh so i hope i could return the favor ;)c heheheheheh...

You've Got the Real Thing Right Here
Jake "Hangman" Seresin x Reader
A/N: I kid you not, I wrote this in 30 minutes in a Gatorade-induced, TikTok-fueled romantic fit of filthy feelings. So…it’s probably not edited well and I’m so sorry haha. But I hope you like it:D
Summary: You come across a scene in a book and wonder, is this really attractive? Luckily, your boyfriend is there to show you that it really is.
Content Warnings: almost smut, really borderline smut, fluff, Jake being a sweetheart, Jake being way too hot to handle, and some swearing. Let me know if I missed anything :D Minors DNI!!!!
Word count: 1047
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You didn’t usually get many days off, so today was a rarity. Your boss left for a personal vacation and since there was nothing to do at the office, you were told that you simply didn’t have to come in. It was impromptu and random, but you knew exactly how you were going to spend it. There were only 8 more chapters left in your book, and you’ve been dying to find out of the two love interests finally get together.
It was a little cold out today in San Diego, another rarity. After a warm shower, you slipped into some cozy leggings and your favorite of all your boyfriend’s sweatshirts; a gray and burnt orange Longhorns crewneck subtly scented with his cologne, your perfume, and the smell of brownies from your shared baking excursion last weekend. You opted out of wearing anything under the sweatshirt because why not? It was your day off, after all. With a cup of hot chocolate, you sat down by a window and opened your paperback to its little crocheted bookmark and let yourself sink into the story.
You didn’t realize how much time had passed by the time you closed the book and placed it on the coffee table. You started at 10:00 am and now it was 3:00. Emotions were swirling within you, and you couldn’t help but twirl around your living room, smiling. They finally got together! Oh god, that was so cute—and a few pages later, so hot. Still grinning like an idiot, you decided to head on over to the kitchen and grab lunch. You microwaved last night’s leftovers and let your mind wander. Every romance book you’ve read has the same scene; the guy leaning on the doorframe and looking down at the girl. What’s up with that? It makes you feel warm every time, and you just know that whatever scene comes next is bound to be good but what the heck makes a doorframe attractive? It’s just leaning; something you do every day.
Your thoughts were interrupted by keys jangling at your door. Jake was home! You leant over in your chair, putting yourself in his line of sight. “Hey, Babe, welcome home.” Jake could hear the smile in your voice.
“Why, thank you, Darlin’. What’s got you in such a good mood?” he asked, walking over to you and placing a gentle kiss on your cheek.
“Nothing much,” you replied as he walked to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of Gatorade. “How was work?” Jake started talking, and you’re sure you heard some of it but from here on out, another thought consumed your mind entirely. Jake isn’t that much shorter than your kitchen door….
“…so I told him that was crazy. Right?” Jake looked to you to find you absolutely spaced out. “Y/N? Everything okay…?
“Uh, yeah! Sorry, what were you saying?” Jake grinned, amused at the light blush that was dusting your cheeks.
“No, no, what’s got you so distracted?”
“Nothing, I promise.” You insisted, standing up to join him in the kitchen entrance.
“Sweetheart, you’re great at a lot of things,” he started, putting his hand in yours, “but you’re a shit liar.” You giggled with him and looked down.
“Okay, okay. Can you do something for me?”
“Anything.”
“Alright, uh,” you didn’t expect to suddenly get as shy as you did. “Could you just put your hand up here, on the doorframe corner and like, lean over a little?” Jake, with his Gatorade still in hand, looked down at you, confused, but still did it anyway.
“Like this?”, he asked.
“Yeah! Now, bend your elbow a little. Lean naturally into it.”
“Is there a reason for this or…?”
“Satisfying my curiosity.”
“Gotcha.”
“Okay, perfect.” You took a small step back, one hand still on Jake’s chest to get a look at the full picture and…woah. Okay, now you get why curiosity killed the cat, and why every book had this scene. It was freaking hot.
Jake’s green eyes were darkened by the shadows of his lashes and his lips had the slightest shine from the Gatorade. God, you bet he tasted like lemon-lime right now, and his posture…you knew he was tall, but did he really always tower over you like this? His biceps were on full display along with the tan skin of his neck and, god, he was so close, and so big and his cologne was intoxicating. You felt hot.
Jake saw it immediately. He knew that look; he saw your lips part and the way your legs squeezed shut. Oh. He took a long drawn-out look at your figure up and down and he knew you were done for.
Smirking, he asked, “Y/N, Honey, you okay there? You look a little red.” A teasing tone lacing his voice. He reached toward the coffee table to put down his Gatorade and he saw it. It’s that book you’ve been reading. There it is. Jake curled his hand around your waist, snaking it under your his sweatshirt, making you shiver as he pulled you close. His fingers were icy against your hot skin from holding the cold bottle. You gasped when he pressed you flush against his chest. “All this because of a book?” he took his other hand down from the doorframe to place it on your cheek, stroking it softly with his thumb. “Baby, you’ve got the real thing right here.” He whispered, lips ghosting over yours before pressing into you for a rough, heated kiss. You wrapped your arms around his waist while his fingers pressed into yours. He peppered kisses along your jawline, feeling the warmth of your skin on his. The sensation of his stubble on your neck went straight to your core and made you whimper, an act that tore down what little resolve Jake had left. He pulled away and took you by the hand out of the kitchen.
“Jake, why’d you stop?” You uttered, breathlessly.
“I didn’t. Come with me.”
“Where are we going?”
“The bedroom. Oh,” he took two steps back to the coffee table and reached for the bottle of Gatorade. “Better take this. You’ll need it by the time I’m done with you.”
Moral of the story? Read books, stay sexy.

Your back hurt, your head ached.
The back of your eyes stung as you tried to open them, the sun’s rays engulfing the entire couch.
At some point in the night you must have crawled up from the intense crying session you had on the floor.
The puffiness surrounding your eyes weren’t going to be fun to get rid of. Nothing like cold spoons to start your morning.
Your mind swirled as you sat up, slowly moving yourself into a sitting position. Bracing your feet to touch the cold floor, but it was soft and fluffy.
You leaned forward, looking down to find a blanket had fallen, sprawled in various folds and flattened as your feet rested on it.
“Did I grab a blanket last night?” You asked yourself, standing up, wondering for a second in confusion.
Then you glanced at the window where the bright sun rays invaded the room. It was shut, but not locked.
Weird. You thought.
Your face suddenly contorting as the memories flooded in. One by one, hearing your voice from last night flood your head like your own mind wanted you to face the consequences.
You sighed into the air, finally bending down to remove the blanket from the floor. Neatly folding it and placing it where you once laid.
You slowly rubbed at the fabric, mindlessly repeating the movements as you thought to yourself.
“He came back.”
You had memories of him visiting your drinking session and Jason had left clues that he had came back from suddenly leaving. He didn’t have to, but the blanket, the clean coffee table, and unlocked window meant he had cleaned up. He got you to bed. Took care of you.
Shit.” You breathed out. “He must have saw and heard everything.”
You groaned, rubbing your hands down your face.
You needed some cold spoons and some medicine.
——
You had to give it to yourself, despite the horrible drunk late night confession, you were glad it only started your weekend. You couldn’t imagine going to work the day after everything.
You could safely rot throughout your day, wasting the day away from your mistakes.
So after a good look in the fridge, you settled for leftovers and a half drunken apple juice. Interesting combo, but you just needed something to digest.
The rest of the day went by as uneventful as your morning.
Laying on the couch, aimlessly watching videos on your phone, reading random posts.
Recovery was awful, especially a mental one.
How were you going to talk to Jason? Would he ever come back? Would you have to fake a robbery scenario? No, that was a bit much.
As you aimlessly thought, yogurt and spoon in hand, the sound of a latch broke your focus.
Click.
Heavy boots hit the floor, scaring you as your head moved to the sounds.
You were wrapped in the same blanket from that morning, a small yogurt stain adoring it, but all the same.
“Jason?” You called out, stunned.
He was frantically walking to you, full Red Hood gear, red helmet on his head rather than a domino mask.
He had a hand full of paper bags in his hands. He stopped directly in front of you, looking down at you, a shadow casted on your body from his sheer mass.
“Jason—what? Why are you—“ You stammered, tilting your face in confusion.
“I don’t understand.” Jason exhaled.
“WhaI mean, I don’t understa—“
“I don’t know how I got here. I don’t know why I have all these bags with me, but I couldn’t leave.” Jason shoved all the bags onto your lap at once.
You couldn’t do anything as the bags fell on one another, another falling to the floor, the contents spilling out. You watched because Jason blocked the coffee table to put down your yogurt and spoon.
“I don’t know. I bought you all this stuff, but I was only planning to get some toothpaste, but it bothered me so much. Last night, I had never heard you talk so much or seen you that gone. But I got worried then I walked to the medicine aisle, then I was walking by the snacks—“ Jason rambled, pacing in front of you, not really understanding how everything escalated when he came to you.
Jason couldn’t hear you repeat his name, so you let him finish. You looked at the contents on your lap. Aspirin, cheeseballs, an ice pack, water, and many more items that you couldn’t look at because you wordlessly held yogurt at the surprise intrusion.
“—then the guy at the cash register was looking at me funny, like ‘What? You don’t see vigilante’s shop at midnight?’ This is Gotham for crying out loud, but I was worried you wouldn’t take care of yourself, although I think it was my fault.”
“Jay, breathe.”
Jason took a quick breath, unconsciously obeying you.
“But that isn’t why I’m here. I couldn’t understand anything that night.” Jason stopped pacing and faced you directly.
After staring at each other for a second too long, you exhaled, motioning Jason to sit next to you with a spoon still in your hand. The couch dipping from his weight and the paper bags leaning toward him.
“I’ve repeated that conversation a million times in my head, but every time I got to the end, it bothered me so much.” Jason frustratingly told you.
You met, what you assumed to be Jason’s stare, from under the helmet, modulated breaths falling with his chest. You looked at your red reflection, watching the tiredness in your eyes. You looked awful.
“Why are you bothered, Jay?” You asked, finally putting the yogurt and spoon down since your visitor stopped pacing.
A lot was happening right now, but in some ways you were relieved that Jason came back. Frantic, but you could deal with that.
“I couldn’t reject you. It didn’t even cross my mind.” Jason admitted, helmet expressionless. You wondered if he could have said any of this without his helmet shielding his face, his expression.
“I told you, I would let you ruin me.” You answered. Watching his movements, trying to find any sign of what he truly wanted.
“But I don’t deserve it. As long as I have this scar marking my face, I won’t be worthy enough for you.”
“I disagree.” You soothed. You kept your voice calm, trying not to frighten Jason and his sudden vulnerability.
“Why?!” Jason nearly yelled in disbelief. “I don’t understand how you can love me when I haven’t done anything that deserves it!”
Jason was breathing rapidly, his modulator breaking in and out.
You carefully moved the blanket and the paper bags off you, moving yourself closer to Jason. You moved your hands up, making sure they were visible to him.
“I’m going to remove your helmet. Are you okay with that, Jason?” You waited, but no answer came out of the man in front of you. “I’m going to remove it because I want to see you and make sure you’re breathing okay, okay?”
He didn’t answer again.
You meticulously moved to his face, moving his helmet up, sections of Jason’s face becoming visible to you. Messy and matted hair covering his head and forehead.
You settled the helmet next to you.
His eyes shifting anxiously, his body looked like it was almost vibrating.
You stood up from the couch, slowly kneeling on the ground in front of Jason, carefully closing yourself in between his legs. Leaving enough space between the two of you, so you didn’t touch.
Now that you were in front of him, you locked onto his eyes. Making sure he was paying attention to you. You took deep breaths, guiding Jason to do the same. At first, he clumsily puffed, but once he balanced his rhythm with yours, his shoulders were evening as they lowered the more he calmed himself.
You didn’t want to break any boundaries because he was overwhelmed. You wanted to calm him, not heighten his current state.
With a steady breath, you laid your hands in your lap, keeping your eye contact with Jason.
“I don’t mind all the gifts, I’m happy you got them for me. I appreciate them because I know you thought of me when you bought them. The water, my favorite snack, and the medicine, but what I truly want right now is you.”
You kept your voice as normal as possible. Trying to show Jason that vulnerable conversations were okay, they were more than okay. They should be okay.
“You are already worthy enough of my love, Jason. More than worthy. I’m proud of you, that you tried to convey it to me too. I have things I need to work on as well.”
You smiled at Jason, gazing up at his head drooped down to you. You were glad he was okay with the closeness, the intimacy.
“I didn’t tell you my feelings the right way.” You continued, a chuckle bubbling in your throat. “I promised myself to do this sober, if I got the chance again, no wine in my system this time.”
Jason weakly smiled like the sound of your laugh calmed him. His hair drooping down to his forehead. He had leaned forward enough to rest his hands on his knees.
The more you talked to him, the closer he was getting to you. It could have been unconscious or he intended for it to happen, but he was drawn to you like a magnet.
“No, no, no.” Jason whispered as he shook his head from side to side. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I’m glad you think so, but I should have said it better and at a pace you were comfortable with.”
Jason didn’t respond. He was at a loss for words, not really understanding what direction he needed to address things.
So you guided him, letting him take his first steps into emotional vulnerability.
“I would like to know how you’re feeling. You can tell me things like if I’m overwhelming you, if I need to clarify anything, or anything you can think of. Because that’s the best part of all of this, we get to learn about each other. I get to understand who Jason is and you can learn as much as you want about me.”
Jason meekly reached his hand out to you. Slowly, carefully like he didn’t know if his body was capable of being gentle, but the fears left him once he touched your face. His fingers cupping your cheek.
Nervously watching your reaction, he was anticipating you to pull back, to react with disgust. But you sat there, staying the same way you did.
Then once he felt better, more at ease, he moved his hand further to you, his hand was large enough that some of his fingers touched behind your ear, rubbing at your hair line.
You closed your eyes, exhaling at the relief that he was okay, that he was initiating a new step in your relationship.
You focused on the small rubs from his thumb. Unconsciously leaning into it, Jason simultaneously sucking in a breath.
He was shocked that you let him do this. Numerous times was he close to grabbing your hand, wiping your tears when you cried, and touching your hair. He had restrained himself every time the thought distracted him, but now that he got a small taste of heaven, he didn’t know if he could ever live without it.
“That night…” Jason hesitated.
You opened your eyes, slowly blinking your eyelashes to look up at him.
He lost his breath again, seeing you sitting there, paying attention to him, anticipating what he was going to say.
“That—that night I did come back. It probably wasn’t a good idea after what happened, but I wanted to see you. You were sound asleep, your face drying from the tears and I helped clean up.”
You carefully listened, letting Jason talk as slowly or as much as he wanted.
“I carried you onto the couch and I covered you with a blanket. And I left, but I didn’t go far. I spent a while sitting on the roof of the building across.” Jason’s eyes softened as he spoke, reminiscing.
“I had to carefully think of everything you said. I was so scared that I almost left and never came back. But when I was ready to run, I couldn’t get the image of how hurt you were, crying into the couch.”
You placed your hand over Jason’s. Both warming your cheek.
“I couldn’t bear the thought of you going through that again. Without me.” Jason’s voice hardened, frustrated with his thoughts and contradictions. “But, you also don’t need me. You deserve better.”
“And you are my ‘better.’ You see a version of me that I hate, but you still treat me as I am. I feel safe with you, you lift me up in ways I don’t have the words to describe. I don’t deserve you, Jason.”
Jason moved down to the floor with you, joining you in a kneel, his knees on the sides of yours, demonstrating the sheer size difference.
He cupped your face in both of his hands, his face close to yours, a serious look in his eyes.
“No, you’re perfect. You’ve even accepted me.” He trembled again, not the same as his anxiousness from before. A gentle tremble that embodied all his emotions, his tenderness.
“Jason, you love so much. You love so much that you can’t handle all of it in your heart and I admire that about you. You care about so many people and things that you end up hurting a lot. I want to be there next to you, hurting along with you.” You inhaled, your lungs and throat stinging from your need to tell Jason all your feelings. “I want to live a life filled with your love. I love you, so so much that it hurts.”
Jason wiped your tears with his thumbs. He leaned in, brushing his lips near yours, his eyelashes nearly touching his cheeks as he looked at you.
“I love you too, I want to see you make mistakes, smile when I think of you. I can finally breathe when I’m next to you.”
You trembled at Jason’s words. The raw vulnerability he was giving you.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about what you said. And you were wrong. I want to be next to you. You said it felt right and I believe it too. I know you told me not to tell you, that it would ruin you, but I want to ruin you.”
Jason breathed, the air touching your lips that left his.
“I’m selfish too because I want every part of your life.” Jason whispered onto your lips.
“And you can have it.” You whispered back.
Then Jason leaned in, taking all the breath from your lungs as he kissed you. Your head leaning back at the sweet weight of him.
It was perfect, the two of you kneeling toward one another, your face held in Jason’s hands, his body pulling you in.
As you lost your breathe, your legs wobbled from all the want radiating from the man in front of you.
You leaned away, panting, pausing from the possibility of consuming all of Jason’s love at once. A beautiful overwhelming feeling.
Jason held you, not wanting to part an inch further. He watched you take your breaths.
“You’re breathtaking.” He lulled, kissing your eyes, your nose, the corner of your mouth.
You giggled at the brief kisses. Holding onto his arms, feeling the muscle flex underneath.
After endless kisses, you slept well in the arms of the man you love, tangled in the cushions of the couch that witnessed the end of a relationship and the start of another.

A/n: Sorry for the delay in getting this chapter out <3 the last couple of weeks have been...not great! Here it is! I will repay you guys with my hiatus by giving you possibly the longest bily chapter ever! The heat arc will take two more chapters! No idea how long those will be but i greatly enjoyed making this chapter the fluffiest little bundle of scenes I could. i did not hold back- i think we've all needed a bit of softness.
Previous part - Masterlist - First part
You excuse yourself to change. But you find yourself pacing back and forth in front of the mirror for a moment. Struggling with your fancy dress that’s for tomorrow night’s dinner, hanging it up with a huff. Unsure why you’re so stressed, why you’re so anxious. An animal in your chest that just won’t stop clawing at your breath.
You knew what you were agreeing to going on this vacation with Namjoon. A solo vacation just for the two of you sends a very very pointed message. This is a sexy vacation- a private suite and a private onsen only means one thing and now at the precipice of it you feel- you feel-
Namjoon knocks, but you tell him you need a minute trying not to sound scared. You don’t even know why you feel scared; you’ve had sex with Namjoon before, and taking him is no longer quite as daunting of a task as it once was. But you feel unsettled and out of your depth here. Intimacy and romance are so much harder without your pack around you to reassure you to egg you on.
You need to call Tae.
She picks up on the second ring, “Pup!” she sounds happy and bubbly even through the phone. You even hear a bit of relief in her voice. “I’m doing my nails upstairs because Jin and Jungkook are being loud; did you get to the hotel yet? How are the flowers?”
“Tae” you hiss, keeping your voice down. “Did you think I’d spend the whole weekend lounging in lingerie!? You didn’t even pack me a bathing suit!” You whine. Still pacing.
“Well, I was actually hoping you’d spend the whole weekend getting your lingerie torn off of you by Namjoon but-”
“Mommy” you whine, and she quiets.
“It’s at the bottom, the dark red one with the flowers.” You find it, if only because it’s a bright oxblood in the mess of pastels. It’s dotted with pale yellow flowers and crossing straps that are supposed to tie around the slimmest part of your waist several times. It’s very Tae. Strappy and sexy and so tiny. The triangles are so small, it might as well be lingerie too.
“Tae- this isn’t going to fit me.”
“Yes, it does” she quips. “I measured.” You flush. You’re sure she did actually measure, probably during one of your morning preening and grooming sessions that you have a habit of spending mostly in omegaspace, an eager puppet to her hands. The idea that you’d been so far down, so trusting that you didn’t even notice warms your cheeks.
But Tae chose this for you, your alpha chose this for you and your other alpha. Tae does often know best. She knows what Namjoon likes.
Your heart rate slows a little.
“Tae- this is just a mess of strings,” she giggles, and you know just from the sound of it that she did this on purpose.
“Come on, live a little.”
“I know but- but-” you sit on the toilet, and she hums.
You wait, sensing that she’s yet to speak. You can hear Namjoon in the other room, starting to pace. You swear you hear him talking too. The hushed grumble as he talks to someone over the phone to someone.
“I’m sorry, I should have packed you something more modest. I just thought you’d want to- I don’t know, tell me off if I'm wrong but- Don't you want to explore a little? You don’t always have to know what you want, You don’t always have to want it- you can have both. Being wanted and being treated delicately- it's not one or the other.”
Your breath hitches, and you wonder how she managed to hit it right on the head. You do feel delicate- you've felt delicate the whole day.
“You can wear skimpy clothes and Namjoon will just be happy he gets to look at you. He still won’t do anything unless you say you want him to. He’s well-behaved like that.”
“Mommy-”
“You love feeling cute, you love feeling wanted. Let him want you pup, it doesn’t have to mean anything.”
“You’re just saying that because you like to give Namjoon a hard time.”
“It’s a love language” that does get a giggle out of you. She sounds satisfied, her voice a purr, but she still apologizes. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you upset.”
“You didn’t, I just panicked in the moment.” You pause, and Tae doesn’t fill the space with chatter. “I feel so innocent around him, so- not like this. Not that it’s dirty to dress this way, just…” You trail off.
"The pack alpha loves you, he’s gonna think you’re stunning no matter what. You could walk out in nothing and he’d still probably ask before he looked at you.”
“I kinda want him to look at me,” You admit, confess. “I kinda like making him have to restrain himself.” You have no reason to be nervous.
Tae’s voice is a purr, “There’s my girl. What do you say?”
“Thank you mommy.”
“Are you gonna be a good girl for the pack alpha?” Her voice is a dark pur.
“No mommy.”
"Perfect."

i’m a monster on the hill
alternatively: i’m not as girly girl as the rest of them
in which insecurities suddenly strike up when she sees her boyfriend parading with williams’ star guest for the race weekend
(series masterlist)
she tilts her head, her eyes roaming the paddocks as she tries to look for the one person that she’s been looking for for the better part of ten minutes. next to her is max, talking about his complaints for the sprint happening tonight, if that’s still what he’s talking about.
“hey, are you even listening to me?” max sighs, lifting his arms up to try and catch her attention.
“yeah, sprints are stupid and a waste of time,” she nods with a small smile, glancing at him briefly before craning her neck again to resume her mission. “you say the same thing every sprint weekend, max.”
max rolls his eyes. “i know, but you should feel the same. it’s not like your team is doing a great job at keeping up with the sprint weekends.”
“that’s seb’s thing to worry about,” she shrugs. she spares the paddocks one last look. “have you seen logan anywhere?”
“not yet, why?” max presses his lips together. he raises an eyebrow at the younger girl.
“i just haven’t seen him at all today,” she says casually, trying to bite back on her rant about missing her boyfriend. max doesn’t know yet, after all. and if he were to find out, she would have no idea what to do. “just curious.”
max hums, tearing his eyes away from her with hesitation. “sure. if i didn’t know better, i would have thought you were jealous.”
“jealous for what?” she scoffs, now her turn to raise her eyebrows in confusion. “what even is that word?”
“cause, you know,” max says, gesturing with her hands hoping that she would magically come to her senses.
“know what?”
"you know," max shrugs again softly. "cause they've got tate mcrae in the williams' garage today."
"do they?" she tilts her head, starting to play with her manicured nails. "i wasn't aware."
"it was all alex and lily could talk about during dinner last night," max shakes his head, feigning annoyance, "i don't see what's so special. it's not like it's kylie jenner."
"dude. it's tate mcrae," she sighs. "she's like, so pretty. and her songs are so good. you should ask lando about her."
"or we could just ask logan!" max beams, pointing ahead of them. "look, they're together! oh, they look kinda cute together, don't they?"
she follows the direction that max is pointing towards. in fact, her boyfriend is walking with the tate mcrae in the paddocks, strangely close to one another as they try to avoid bumping into others.
she presses her lips together, feeling a weird bubbling in her gut that she can't seem to ignore. "take me back to my garage." she turns on her heel and starts walking back towards where they came from. "i'm not hungry anymore."
max throws his head back, but follows her anyway. "what? i was so looking forward to the cup of coffee you were going to get me!"
“babe, what are you wearing?” logan tilts his head, arms stretched out as he approaches the younger girl. “i thought you said you were wearing that one dress you’ve been wanting to try on?”
she shakes her head, pressing her lips together. she waves off his statement. “i didn’t feel like wearing it.”
“aw, but we were supposed to match for dinner with oscar and lily,” logan frowns, wrapping his arms around her as a greeting.
she looks up at him with sad eyes and slumped shoulders. instead of responding, she just sighs and shakes her head as she leads him down the hallway of their hotel for the weekend.
"is something wrong?" logan frowns, chasing after her towards the elevator. "did something happen before the sprint?"
"no, it's nothing," she sighs, fixing the oversized tee that she decided to put on today. fair enough to logan's argument, they had agreed the night before that they would match their d&g outfits for dinner tonight.
but all of those plans were thrown out the window when she saw logan and tate walking down the paddocks earlier today. while she's typically secure with herself and their relationship, max was not wrong when he said that they looked kinda good next to one another.
the image of her boyfriend with the prettiest girl she's ever seen has haunted her since she got into the car for the sprint qualifiers. it's one of the only reasons she had finished in p4 earlier because she had this anger in her chest that she couldn't ignore.
she punches the button carved into the wall, making logan lift his arms to scratch his head. she looks up at the display, frowning when the elevator is still only on the third floor on its way up to them. she reaches out to punch the button again, but not before logan can catch her wrist in his hand.
"why are you punching a literal inanimate object?" logan questions, tilting his head to meet her eyes. "did something happen?"
her eyes snap to look into his. "no."
"you're saying that, but i totally don't believe you," logan frowns, shaking his head. "what's wrong, baby?"
"nothing."
"then i don't wanna go for dinner," logan mutters, turning on his heel to walk away from her. "you can explain to oscar and lily why i'm not there."
"what? logan," she turns around, throwing her arms in the air. "where are you going?"
"to your hotel room. you're not being very nice."
"i'm so nice!"
"you just punched the elevator button!"
she balls her fists and clenches her jaw. "fine, i'll tell you." she chews on the inside of her cheek as logan stops halfway down the hallway from her and turns to her. "but you have to promise you won't laugh."
"why would i laugh at you?" logan sighs. "tell me what's bothering you, please?"
"i was kinda jealous," she mutters, incomprehensible as she looks up to count the number of lights that illuminate her hotel hallway. "you had tate in your garage and then max said you guys kinda look cute together and he was kinda right now that i think about it. she is very pretty and hot and girly girl and i could literally beat you in an arm wrestling fight."
"whoa, slow down." logan holds his arms up as he approaches her with caution. "i didn't get any of that. you were mumbling under your breath the entire time."
she sighs and drops her head. "i said i was jealous."
"of what?"
"max said you looked cute with tate mcrae," she sighs, throwing her arms in the air. her cheeks heat up as she turns around to catch the elevator now nearing their lift lobby. "he was kinda right, she's very hot. i'm not."
"tate mcrae?" logan repeats, jogging a circle around her to block her from the elevator. "you were jealous of tate because of what max said? but i love you."
she sighs shakily. "okay, but she's very feminine and talented. what can i do? i can only drive a stupid car - anyone can do that."
"i can't even drive a stupid car," logan states, staring at her blankly. "and what do you mean? you always beat me at padel when we play."
"that's cause i cry when you don't let me win!" she rants, throwing her arms in the air. she throws her head back and turns towards the hallway. "now i don't even feel like going to dinner."
"you know i only say that because i can't admit that my girlfriend is also better than me at padel, right? you beat me in an f1 car and padel. my ego can't take that," logan states, chasing after her. he grabs her wrist to yank her into his chest. "and you're feminine. what are you talking about?"
"like i could literally beat you at padel in my sleep and wrestle you into submission!" she whines, making an attempt to walk away from him again. "i'm not your type, logan! i've got broad shoulders and as much muscles as the next driver on the track. you used to kiss the floor that supermodels used to walk on!"
"yeah, when i was 18," logan laughs, jogging to overtake her. he grabs her shoulders and shakes her gently. "i'm 22. i'm so in love with you. i like it when you wrestle me into submission - it's hot."
"can you please be serious?"
"i am!" he rests his hands on his hips. "tell you what - let's skip dinner. let's go back into your room, order some wine and play some mario kart. then maybe i'll show you how much i love you."
she scowls. "you want to ditch oscar and lily? do you have any idea how much he'll tear into you if we do that?"
"fine, so we make dinner quick and then we come back so i can do all that i just said," logan shrugs. he takes her hand and squeezes it. "i love you. you know that, right?"
she pouts, slumping her shoulders again. "i know. i love you too. but you know what i mean, right? please tell me you get it, lo."
"i do," he sighs, cupping her cheeks. she tiptoes when he pulls her up slightly, pressing a loving kiss on her lips. "but i'm in love with you. my type is you."

A but late, but it's here...The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 21/June/2024
Was a week of checking off lots of boxes again this week!
I finished writing all the needed blurbs and tag lines for Hosted Games finally! It takes a looooong time to think about a bunch of different ways to describe the story, especially in only 45 words, 80 words, etc! But it was actually really fun breaking down what’s coming up in the story and thinking how to vaguely and mysteriously hint at it, hehe! ;D
I also took the opportunity to rewrite the big blurb for Book Four. I wasn’t completely happy with it first time around, so this was a great chance to rework that:
--
The Wayhaven Chronicles: Book Four
Time is a precious commodity.
Unfortunately, it’s a commodity you don’t have much of these days.
Keeping up with the exhausting training for your new career while balancing your deepening romance on top of juggling some kind of personal life doesn’t leave much time to relax!
But it wouldn’t be a Wayhaven story you’ve come to know without something new to add to that ever-growing pile…
Something stirs beneath the town of Wayhaven.
Something old.
Something powerful.
Something with a very keen interest in you.
-
Delve into the world of Wayhaven once more, where a new enemy is not only unleashed upon the town but unleashes its advances upon you—to your vampire lover’s chagrin.
Or if your heart has yet to find a partner…perhaps you'll succumb to the villain’s romantic attempts?
The choice is yours!
--
It’s still way too wordy, so I’ll probably work on condensing it a bit, but I love it a lot more now! :D
I also got started on Chapter Three! Like, I seriously got started on it and really slammed into that, lol!
The only thing I’m having a bit of trouble with is deciding where a certain POV should go, as I’ve decided to add in an extra Unit Bravo POV with Rebecca, but I don’t want that POV leading into another POV that isn’t the reader’s straight away…I’m not sure if that makes sense, lol! But I’m going to write it all in the order I have it planned and then see how it actually reads.
I should actually get all the way to finishing the first third of the chapter tomorrow, which includes those two POVs!
Hope you all have the most amazing weekend!

You dont have to feel like you gotta do this, bc i know sm ppl r too out of their comfort zone with it, but would you consider:
Poly!Soukoku? Like Dazai / reader / chuuya?
Fluff HCs?
Ig if you wanted more fun stuff (pls dont do it this is too much!) What do you think would be a good ability for an S/O of them to have?? :0
I have this one idea where their just a sort of puppet master and have strings that they can latch onto ppl and physically move them around, or even mess with memories (the non-passionate/deep seated ones) bc i thought Dazai would like the different ways it could be applied, and Chuuya would think it's badass to watch you just, lower the glowing strings coming out of fingertips attached to like a group of armed enemies and they just like, drop their guns and bow.
Feel free to have fun with this however you want, or delete the request if its too much!
Also the ability i talked abt doesnt have to be readers ability, and these could just be chill headcanons abt their relationship! Whatever works!
Hope youre having a great weekend so far, and I really like your writing!!
Cheers,
Poly Anon ☢️
Poly!Soukoku X G!n Reader
— — — — — — — —
A/n; Hi Anon! Tysm I really appreciate it! I'm glad you like my writing! I hope you're having a great weekend so far too :D
— — — — — — — —
Genre; Fluff, Hcs
Pairings; Chuuya X Dazai X Reader
Warnings; Mentions of Suicide(Dazai), my bad writing, Might has some grammar mistakes 😭
Now how do I start with this chaotic relationship...
Chuuya would try to kill Dazai from time to time and you have to be there to stop them because of it 😭
I feel like s/o would toy with their opponents with the use of their ability
Mori had assigned you three on another mission together even though one was already enough since the three of you were strong enough but who knows why he assigned you three on a mission like this
Chuuya would be surprised and amazed at the same time when he first saw your ability with his own eyes, sure he has heard about this ability before but he’s never actually seen it for himself before.
Chuuya thinks that his s/o is so badass when they puppet the enemies, making them bow down and drop all of the weapons carried to the battle.
Dazai on the other hand would not really get surprised since this is his first time actually seeing this ability with his own eyes and not hearing it from some stupid book, but he still knew from the beginning
But when the three of you are all bored and out of missions to carry out, you'll all hangout in a bar to spend some time with each other
It's either one of yall ended up drunk OR you all ended up drunk and passed out in the bar 😭
The three of you will always go out to the mall or on expensive dinner dates
You all share the same apartment and that's where things are starting to get really wild
When getting into bed, there is never peace...The three of you would be kicking each other off the bed and slapping each other in the middle of the night 💔
"GODDAMN CHUUYA STOP KICKING ME" *SNORES*
Chuuya Is the kicker,Dazai is the pusher and you're the one that's suffering 😢
Just imagine this, suddenly you woke up at an ungodly hour because you felt a hand slapping your face just to find out it was Dazai slapping you in his sleep and Chuuya is almost on the floor still dead asleep after a long day in the Port Mafia.
You had enough one night and decided to kick them both off the bed and acted as if you're still asleep 😭
It's legit 4am and suddenly you just kick them off the bed "OW" "what...the..fuck..." *Y/n fake snoring noises*
Besides that when it's really peaceful it's either they're both on a long mission or they're ACTUALLY not kicking or pushing each other off the bed.
The three of you likes to cuddle and fall asleep in each other's warmth
"Will you,Y/N L/n, Come double suicide with me?" "no." "OI MACKEREL IF YOU WANNA DIE I CAN KILL YOU NOW STOP ASKING Y/N TO SUICIDE WITH YOU JACKASS" "YOU HURT MY FEELINGS CHIBI.." while you're just busy typing up a report and also trying to calm down
When one of you are on a mission alone you all definitely give each other a goodbye and goodluck kiss before heading out
Besides all of those chaotic stuff happening in your relationship, You all are an unbreakable trio
— — — — — — — — —
That's all I hope you like it </3

This event is now closed. You can view the masterlist here.
| Pairing: Gojo x Gn!Reader| Genre: fluffish | Post-Type: Drabble | Word Count: 970 |
Warnings: slight swearing, y/n's date neglecting them
Note: Happy first day of October :3 Finally it's starting to cool down a lot and I'm living for it. It's already midnight, I was busy all weekend long so I forgot it was Monday, aka, my posting day. Thankfully I wrote this one in advance, so it only needed to be edited a bit and posted :D. Hope you enjoy!
Gojo was pissed, beyond pissed as you dragged him with you to introduce him to the guy you’d been talking to for a few weeks now. As your best friend, it was mandatory for him to get to know the guys you dated, but he already hated this one based on the things you had shared with him.
He was selfish and never took the time to figure you out; never cared enough to do things you liked to do or go to restaurants that you liked, oblivious to anything that interested you. Currently the three of you were seated at a table at a restaurant with food you couldn’t even eat, yet you quietly sat beside your date, looking through the menu to see if you could find anything that caught your eye.
“They can’t eat this food,” Gojo says flatly, not even bothering to look through the menu, a bored expression on his face as he finally gets the chance to see the guy who was absolute trash. The guy who stole his chance to finally confess to you after years of crushing on you and just as he was about to risk it all and ask you out, this guy had come out of nowhere and whisked you away.
“They’re literally looking through the menu, stop speaking for them man,” the guy rolls his eyes, already set on what he wanted since he was a regular at this place.
Gojo glares at him as you awkwardly glance between them, before Gojo abruptly stands up and drags you off with him. The guy tries to grab him to stop him, but can’t even touch him because of Gojo’s infinity, as the white haired man wordlessly takes you where your date can’t hear.
“Why are you putting up with that piece of shit?” He huffs, releasing your arm once they both of you are far away from your date.
“He’s not that bad…” you sigh, knowing the words leaving your mouth were lies. The man you really wanted was the white haired one right in front of you, but he was your best friend, there was no way he felt the same for you.
“‘Not that bad’ my ass, he’s done nothing but think of himself the second we entered this place. There’s not a damn thing on this menu that you like. He should know that by now! Or does he just not care enough to even ask what you like? I’m sure you’ve spoken about yourself to him, that's how dating works, but he hasn’t remembered anything you’ve told him, has he?” He grits, extremely worked up by this.
“He’s all I have, Satoru. I’ve had so much bad luck with dating, I can’t just dump him for something as small as forgetting the foods I like or don’t like. I need to at least give him more time to see if he’s worth it…” you sigh, leaning back against the wall.
“You don’t need to do anything! Do you even actually like this guy?”
You pause for a moment. You felt bad that this guy was more of a way for you to try and get over your best friend who you couldn't imagine liking you back. “I- I’m still getting to know him…”
Bull. It was a load of bull.
Gojo, grabs your chin and tilts it up so you’re looking at him, taking a deep breath of courage.
“Leave him and be with me,” he says confidently, his heart hammering in his chest. He had never been so nervous in his entire life, if you didn’t feel the same way, then him saying this would ruin your friendship, but he needed to tell you.
Your eyes widen in shock, unsure if what you heard was real or not.
“Satoru wh-” he cuts you off before you can even finish speaking.
“Shut up and just listen for a second. I know everything about you, your favorite color, the facial expressions you make when you’re happy and upset, every subtle eyebrow move–I know it all. I know you like the back of my hand and remember every detail you’ve ever told me. You know why? Because I’m in love with you, dammit. I’ve been in love with you for years now, but have been too scared to say anything,” eh says, looking straight into your eyes.
“I could love you with my eyes closed, kiss you with my blindfold and figure you out. I may have the six eyes, but I don’t need them to figure out the things you love, or the way you prefer things. Drop that guy, and give that chance to me. I’ll treat you better,” he whispers slowly, dropping his hands from your chin, his blindfold raised, exposing his beautiful blue eyes so you can see the truth in them.
“Yeah, let's do it,” you say finally, surprising him and yourself.
“What?” He asks in shock, taking a step back and leaning against the opposite wall, one of his hands rising to touch his forehead.
“Let’s do it. You’re not the only one who’s been silently longing to be together. I love you too…I just didn’t think you’d be into me like that. With your history with women and all…” you groan.
“Yeah, but you’re you. How could I not love you?” He smirks. “Let’s ditch this loser, just text him that you’re done with him. I’ll take you somewhere you’d actually love.”
And that sounded perfect to you as you quickly message your date that it wasn’t working out, as the both of you sneak out the back door, hopping into Gojo’s car as he drives you to your favorite restaurant (which was a lot more fancy and nice for a date than the fast food place your other date had taken you to).

rachel green x reader headcanons
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ masterlist • f•r•i•e•n•d•s masterlist ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚
a/n: we’re all a little in love with rachel right? on a mission to write hcs for all the friends characters 💋🩰
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~°~❦~°~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
dating rachel would include…
ok so you and rachel first met at her office
wow, it’s not like she’s ever done that before. *cough* gavin, tag, mark (kinda) *cough*
what i’m saying is miss girl has a type
so you both worked in the same department and she started to develop a crush on you
one night when you were both working late
you started talking and it eventually led to you making out on her desk
aaand you’ve been dating ever since
her friends were a little skeptical at first of her relationship with her coworker
but eventually as they all got to know you, you became one of the group
ross took longer than the rest of them to warm up to you ‘because of the history’
honestly rachel spoils you
always giving you fashion advice and buying you clothes
“oh, honey, this looks so good on you. and, you know, now you can throw out those old ones’
she loves your butt
calls you sweetie
does that thing when you’re holding hands where she traces your hand with her finger
pillow princess
she writes little sticky notes for you and puts them all over your apartment and in your pockets
and she always smells so good
she drags you along to all of these spas places and you guys have spa days
she’s really good at giving gifts
not so great at receiving them
‘oh, sweetie, i love it. it’s beautiful!’
‘rach, do you want the receipt?’
‘no! …. actually, can i just hold onto it?’
but she tries really hard to return only the stuff she really doesn’t want
when you all do things as a group you and rach are always sneaking off to go spend some time alone
like once when ross brought all of you along on a muesem tour
and you and rachel were bored
(you can only make fun of abstract art for so long)
so you snuck off to see if you could find something more interesting
and ended up getting caught ‘frolicking’, as the museum guard put it, behind a sculpture of a past president
‘wow, a public place, (y/n)! i don’t know, it’s kind of thrilling! i feel like joey!’
ross was furious
‘i can’t believe you two! in a place of integrity and knowledge!’
to which rachel said
‘i don’t know, ross. i saw a lot of people doing what me and (y/n) were doing in some of those greek paintings back there.’
and that ended that conversation
you guys get to spend almost every second together, what with seeing each other at work as well as outside of it
and sometimes it’s hard pretending not to be a couple at your job
lots of sneaky little touches 🤭
all of her friends love you so much and think you bring out the best in her
(and joey just likes watching you two together)
you guys couldn’t be happier and rachel loves you so much
…even more than weekend at bernie’s
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~°~❦~°~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ˋ°•*⁀➷ hope guys enjoyed!! check out my other friends hcs on my masterlist and have a lovely day!! 🎀🖇️

I am so sorry for requesting again before you had the chance to write my last request but I had the best idea. So bonten x son reader (platonic ofc) Trying to get a job and he ends up working at draken and inui's bike shop. I'm sorry if your busy. Please drink lots of water and I hope you are in good health ♡
Omg yes
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
"Can I get a job?"
The table went quiet as the Bonten men looked at (name), the teenager glancing at his dad's awkwardly "why?" Mochi asked bluntly "is the allowance not enough?" (Name) shook his head "it's not that, it's just I was told that having a job or an internship would be good for university applications along with volunteering" (name) said pulling out a folder he kept on the floor beside him "please look at these, I did the research on how it could help advance my chances in getting into good universities!" Bonten wasn't shocked that (name) came prepared, they always told him to be overprepared than under after all.
"As you can see, it would be incredibly beneficial for me to possibly have a part time job"
"What about your extra curricular activities and would this affect your grades?" (Name) tried not to perk up at the questions Ran asked seriously, all of the Bonten members in dad mode as they looked over the papers "I already have a plan for that! I would only be working weekends and my club doesn't run on weekends and I would do any homework on breaks and after or before work"
"You really have this planned out..." Mikey mumbled before looking at his son "thoughts?" Mikey asked the others and the rest glanced at one another before each giving a thumbs up, voting yes albeit a bit begrudgingly as they worried about their son.
They found voting systems worked best when it came to (name).
"Then...you can have a job, but the second your grades slip you quit"
"Thank you! I start this Saturday for training!" (Name) said getting up and giving his dad's a hug before running off to his room to no doubt text his friends the news.
(Name) kept to his word, keeping his grades up and come the weekend he started his first day.
"Thank you for hiring me Mr.Draken sir!" (Name) said enthusiastically, excited to start his first job as book keeper for D&D motors "no problem kid, we could use the help... Sadly my associate and I aren't the best with that sort of thing"
"Well I'm glad to be apart of the team!"
Draken enjoyed the teens enthusiasm, the young man reminding him of... Draken didn't want to dwell on that.
He noticed mi--(name) was really good at what he did, fixing their problems "my dad is really good at money management and taught me how to save, he said "you never want to be in a situation where you desperately need money but don't have enough"" (name) said happily as he and Draken ate their food, the teen doing his homework happily.
"That's solid advice"
When (name)s shift ended a black Rolls-Royce parked infront of the shop, none of the Bonten men coming to collect the teen after learning who he's working for as they didn't want (name) to try and be him and... Try and fix the unfixable.
So they had a driver collect him.
"I will see you tomorrow Mr.Draken!"
"Get home safe kid"
"I will sir!"
When (name) got home he was practically vibrating with joy as he made a beeline to the livingroom where his dad's were lounging and doing work "today was great!" (Name) practically yelled, going on a verbal rampage about his day and his dad's watching fondly, glad he enjoyed himself.
"That's good, you do your homework?"
"It's right here!" (Name) confidently handed Mikey his work and the blond hummed as he looked it over "good"
"Now, go shower you smell like motor oil"

snowed in hell
you didn't think a weekend with your boss could get worse... actually, it does once you're snowed in with him and away from home. you thought he was the worse, but there is something beneath his cold exterior that's very passionate and romantic and you're curious if you can explore that.

"A weekend away didn't seem like a bad idea"... is what you should be thinking. The winter wonderland that was this beautiful snowfall was all nice and cheery until you're going with your boss for one of his many conferences before the holiday season can start.
Now, Tom Holland wasn't bad looking, but once his egotistical comments spouted out of his mouth, you were able to snap back into reality. Not only could he sound like the most out-of-touch guy, but he flaunted how successful he was on-top of his looks.
So when he invited you- no, expect you- to come to this conference, it was a bit of a disappointment when you thought that it would be your one weekend of not doing anything that revolved around him. Now it was all about him... as per usual.
Carefully driving to the five-star hotel, all he did was talk about his own expectations and try to figure out what to say at the big dinner they were holding before tomorrow's conference. All you could do was make mental notes since you were driving and he was checking himself in the mirror in the backseat.
Luckily, you had adjoined rooms so there was some separation between your lives these next two days. While he was working in his room, you hoped to go on the slopes and enjoy breakfast on the nice outside deck while reading a book. Maybe even meet someone like in some cheesy romance movie.
"No, no, we have the charity ball on the 5th. The opening of the library the week after." Tom sighed, "Yes, yes, darling, I'm aware of that, but we can move all those dates... Trust me, I know Mr. Morales isn't with his wife on Tuesdays and Thursdays..." He continued, his left eyebrow arched.
You could roll your eyes, but all you did was take a deep breath.
"Well, I checked in the mirror and I can say that today is gonna be a great day." He smirked.
Oh, God. You needed this thirty remaining minutes to turn into thirty seconds.
"Y/N, slow down a bit. We're in no rush." Tom signaled his hand, looking through the front windshield.
"Yes, sir." You grinned, fixing your posture as you eased your foot off the gas pedal.
♡ ♡ ♡
You're relieved once you're checked into your room, knowing there was one wall between you and Tom. When you lay on your bed, basically hoping into the soft mattress, you let out a huge sigh of relief.
After a few minutes of hearing Tom's muffled voice through the wall, it was silent. You fix your skirt and button up before knocking on the door until Tom said you could come in.
When you step in, you see Tom standing in front of the full-body mirror by the window. As much as you wanted to complain, he did look good in a dark suit. You saw him adjust his sleeves under his jacket, but his tie was crooked.
"Here, I let me fix your tie." You trailed as you walked over.
You leaned into your heels, pulling the tie a bit down before pulling it perfectly where the top button of his shirt was. His brown eyes glossed over as he watched you, admiring how the orange light from the sunset laying against your face.
When you lifted your head, you saw his eyes, but you two could just produce awkward laughs. When you were hired, all your friends envied that you worked for someone as handsome and suave as Tom, and so were you. It was his huge ego that got in the way. Then, there were moments like this where that small crush bloomed back up.
Tom couldn't disagree that there weren't some feelings in the beginning as well. Workplace relationships were frowned upon, and already keeping his father's company afloat, there was no need to try to impress you. He would rather fight off those feelings then see where it goes.
"Thank you, Y/N." He said before clearing his throat.
"Of course, sir." You grinned.
"You don't have to always call me that. It's Tom, darling."
"I know." You quickly said, but you felt heat on your cheeks.
"Well, we need to get down there." He quickly gathered himself before the two of you left your rooms.
When you entered the elevator, it was just the two of you. There wasn't much said but it stopped on the floor below, a few people filed in and you felt Tom place his hand on your lower back as you took a few steps back.
You leaned next to him, placing your hand on his chest. Tom's heart hadn't beat so fast in a while, but in that moment, he thought everyone in the small space could hear it.
"Sorry, sir." You said, pulling your hand back and then tucking your hair behind your ear.
"You don't have to apologize, darling."
Your eyes fixated longer on him before the doors opened, and he walked out with the others.
Quickly, you followed him before he was practically mobbed by his peers, asking all these questions and statements while you stood behind his back. A few times he'd look over his shoulder to make sure you were close, and you would show him a small smile.
Time got away as he loved to talk business before timidly tapped his shoulder and he turned his attention toward you.
"Sir, the conference starts in five minutes."
He chuckled, "Oh, I have to go but nice seeing you guys. Let's catch up this weekend." Tom smiled at the few men.
As the two of you walked away, Tom's smile fell and his hands played with the first button of his suit jacket.
"What happened?" You asked, trying to keep up with his fast pace.
"Just because I have the money to finance their plans doesn't mean I can. I'm not..." He trailed, "Well, I'm not some dream maker. Let's put it at that."
"Sorry about that, sir." You cleared your throat.
"Remember what we spoke about?" He asked, turning to you.
"Tom... I meant Tom." You trailed, giving a half-smile.
He actually smiled back, something you rarely saw but the two of you continued to the hall, taking your seats before a long meeting.
♡ ♡ ♡
After an hour and a half, you and Tom went to the bar as per his request. Instead of sitting at the stools, you were sat at a table and you weren't use to spending a dinner with him. When the waiter came by, you were going to order for the two of you until Tom spoke first.
"One glass of scotch neat and a gin and tonic, light on the tonic." He said, impressing you.
"You remembered?" You asked, sounding like an old friend.
"Of course. It's not always your job to do that." He grinned.
Once you got your drinks, you cheers to the night and a successful start to the weekend. You almost wanted to toast to Tom not getting on your last nerve, but a man came by with 'manager' written under his name on his tag.
"Excuse me, but we just wanted to tell you that there is a harsh snowstorm right now. There may be some bad cell service and the roads are completely covered so, I would advise you not to go out tonight if you were planning to leave."
"Thank you for telling us." Tom nodded.
"We can send anything complimentary to your room if needed, Mr. Holland." He reassured him before leaving.
"Wow, so you're not new around here." You joked a bit and wondered if it was okay.
"Yeah, I've come here a few times. With my dad before I took over the business. Anything you need, on me."
You nodded, taking a sip of your drink, and then the rest of the hour was getting to know one another. He got to know you better than when you were first interviewed, but now that he was relaxed, Tom got to know you better than the side he aggressively showed in the office.
He had been meaning to sit down with you for a long time, wondering if there was any chance he would, but he thought about his reputation too much. He knew it could be a mood-killer sometimes, but there was a lot to hold yet being with you right there made him forget all of that.
There was an unspoken tension at the table and neither of you two wanted to address it... but there was still enough time in the weekend.
♡ ♡ ♡
That night, you weren't sure how to feel. You wondered if there was actually anything you felt romantically toward Tom. You paced the room a few times and ended up staring into the night sky through your deck.
Once you tried to focus on the silence of the room, you could hear the muffled TV noises coming through the wall that shared your rooms. You took a few deep breaths as you approach the door, talking yourself through this in your head.
You knocked, "May I come in?"
"Yeah!" Tom shouted.
When you entered his room, the beginning of the movie Charade starring Audrey Hepburn was on, oddly fitting with the location you were staying at. Tom walked from the bathroom, his tie loosen and his shoes off. He seemed more relaxed than you did, but he probably wasn't wondering what was coming of this in your mind.
"Hi... I uh, I just heard the TV and thought I would um... I uh, come over." You said, knowing how awkward and childish it sounded.
"Yeah, just an old movie. I was practicing my speech for tomorrow's conference." He said, gently pulling off his cuff links.
You hummed, standing there and your knees suddenly felt weak.
Tom took a second look at you, "Is everything okay?"
Butterflies swarmed inside your stomach, fuzzy feelings exploding and all you could do was slowly walk over to him. He sensed what move you could make, but Tom stood tall and strong, able to easily do it.
"Y/N, look at me." He softly commanded.
Your eyes met, and all you could hear was the TV in the background and the sound of your heart beating in your ears. Just as you took a step closer, he placed his hand on your soft cheek. Soon, your lips met in the middle for a spontaneous kiss that tasted heavenly.
As your tongue pressed against his, practically melting at how soft his was, his firm hands began to unbutton your top before he pulled away from the kiss.
"Is this okay?" He practically whispered.
You hummed, "Yes. Yes, keep going."
Just like that, he contiuned pulling apart the buttons one by one as your noses brushed against one another's and you could barely take the tension.
Once you undid the last button, you let your shirt fall near your feet. Standing there in your silk white bra and skirt, you slowly pushed him toward the bed until he sat down. His eyes trailed your body as you stood only a few feet away and your hands met the back of your skirt.
He watched you slowly peel down the zipper, the fabric pulling from your body before it fell to the ground as well. Tom's mouth gapped a bit, seeing your stockings were attached to a white garter belt and the matching lacey, white panties beneath them.
Tom was loss for words, the dim lights not doing any justice for your body. He leaned up as you walked toward him, and his hands immediately met your hips. He slowly pressed his lips against your lower abdomen, giving you butterlies as he continued to tease.
As you watched him carefully place his wet kisses, your hand met his soft curls and carded through them each time he got lower. He used his teeth to pull at the top of your panties, letting the fabric lightly slap your skin.
"You look like an angel, you know that?" He muttered.
You wanted to nod, but he ran his hand up your inner thigh before meeting your clothed slit. He smirked as he massaged the wet spot on the center of your panties. Your swollen clit ached, trying not to let your knees get weak as you still stood infront of him.
Your hands met his shoulders, and your fingernails lightly grazed his freckled skin. He kept moving his two fingers ever so slowly as he left a small love bite on your hip.
"I bet you want me to fuck you senseless, yes?" He groaned, "Until you can't even say words... just my name."
A small moan left your throat as he switched to his thumb rubbing on your clit. You gulped, wanting him to pull them off already but instead he brought you down to your knees.
"Not before you prove to me you're a good girl who deserves to be fucked so good." Tom nodded, holding his eye contact with you.
At first you wanted to pout, but you also wanted to show him that you were no force to be reckon with either. He thought he had the control and you were going to change that.
"Yes, sir." You trailed, giving a new meaning to the respect addressing he always told you not to use.
After unbuckling his belt, you threw it to the side before unzipping his pants. His cock pressed against his briefs, bigger than you expected. You tossed his pants along with his belt before your hand moved against his hard that stayed below the soft fabric.
Your fingers pulled each side of the band of his briefs, watching his cock spring up and all felt was your face feeling hot. He carefully watched your hand perfectly grip his base, pumping his hard slowly as your tongue ran over his red tip.
"Fucking christ, fuck." He groaned, using his weight to push up on his elbows as he laid back on the bed.
He expected you to be fast, but the slowness of your pace was killing him. Your hand moved up and down, your spit lubricating his base and your mouth wrapped around his tip.
"Don't fucking tease me all night, darling." He lowly growled, his hand moving through your hair to keep it from your face. He wanted to watch every second of his cock in your sweet mouth.
As your hands pushed against both his thighs, you felt his cock grow harder as his tip pressed against the back of your throat. You couldn't see Tom, but heard his moans he was obviously trying to hold back.
"No teeth, darling. Open your mouth wider... fucking. Yeah, fucking feels good." He practically panted.
Before he felt himself on the edge, you pulled away and all he could hear was his own heart beating. He didn't question fast enough, and you were already on your feet before straddling him.
"You had your fun, now you're gonna show me why you deserve to fuck me." You giggled, half-smiling then pressed your lips against his. He liked this side of you.
Tom rolled the two of you over, the cool sheets against your back. He parted your legs as he trailed wet kisses over your bra, down your stomach then over your panties. You tilted your head watching him unclip your stockings from your belt, then pulling your panties to the side.
He propped your left leg over his shoulder before placing a kiss on your clit, so swollen and wet. His tongue perfect stoked below your clit and right above your slit, just the place to make your whole body squirm. Tom continued to flick his tongue right at your sweet spot, holding down your hips as they tried to move.
A trail of quiet moans left your lips, completely in awe of how he took his time. Just as your stomach turned, his two fingers slipped inside you. They curled and moved slowly as his tongue worked your clit.
You could cum right there, letting him watch your whole body wither but you wanted to play the long game too. Your grip moved to his curls, tugging so hard the move you tried to hold back your orgasm.
"Oh... oh, I wanna..." Your voice strained, ending up biting your lip.
Tom smirked before leaving wet kisses up your slit and then further up toward your hips until wrapping his lips around your right nipple.
You leaned up on your elbows, smiling to yourself before he kissed you again, "I wanna be in control now." You whispered.
The two of you switched positions again, straddling him as he leaned his back against the headboard the of bed. You slowly wrapped your arms back around him, pecking faint kisses up his neck before meeting your noses again.
Your one hand guided his tip to your slit, rubbing it against the wet entrance before sinking down on his lap. His low, rough grunt was against your lips, but all you could do was smirk.
"I bet you want me to move now on your cock. I can feel it stretching out my tight hole." You whispered once more.
He didn't think such a dirty sentence could come from those lips.
"God, you feel fucking amazing, you tease." He said, his fingers pushing into your hips.
"I don't want you to cum until I say..." You kissed him, "Think you can do that, sir?" You teased.
Surprisingly, he nodded his head but he was completely putty. You fixed your posture to make your back straight, then start moving your hips. His head falls, pressing his forehead against your shoulder.
Tom tried to refrain from moving, bucking his hips a few times. You tried to take control by kissing him and make sure he's distracted, but there was no stopping his wanting to turn the two of you over and have his own control back.
"Don't be shy, tell me if you're gonna cum." You whimpered, also feeling your walls tighten around his throbbing cock.
"God, yes. I'm gonna cum." He grunted between your kiss.
You sped up the pace of your hips, hearing the slapping of your skin fill the room. You gasp and whine, "Don't cum yet."
But, he was so eager.
"Not yet... not yet." You trailed as you felt near your edge. You wanted him to wait until you were right there too.
By this point, he didn't want to move his hips, afraid of letting go since he was holding back. Your nails dug across his back, your clit incredibly swollen and your wetness trailing down your inner thighs.
"Fucking cum now, God!" You announced in a whiny tone.
Tom pushed down your hips, and his cock bottomed out inside you. Your voices were shaky and hoarse by the time you came back down from your highs.
Your head fell against his shoulder, both of your bodies settling as you huffed to catch your breaths. You slowly rolled off of him and lay next to him in his bed. Quickly, he pulled the covers over you two and leaned on his side to look at your tired self.
"Think we can go for round two in say..." He checked his watch, "Ten minutes?" Tom joked.
You smirked, "Make it five and I promise I'll have you screaming louder than me."
"Is that a challenge?"
"Not for me, sir."

“Next stop, Suburban District 1.”
Pearl hands an earbud to Lizzie, the latter accepting regardless of whatever songs her friend is playing. It’s something they got used to when they were younger with their other friends – sharing music and other media they consume – and has extended to small speakers playing in their dorm, or earbuds shared in public spaces like these.
Lizzie leans into her seat as the train starts moving, then she looks at Pearl.
She treats the other like a sister, at this point. Actually, she treats their entire friend group like her sisters, her found family. Whether it be from endless cheers for her art (which Lizzie is still a bit scared to share), or being the main people she hung around when they were kids, or that they still keep in touch despite the physical distance between their group of five.
Sometimes, she’s brought back to the time it all began.

“Please, just one go?”
Lizzie looks up to see two heads of ginger before her, hands clasped together. For how much they insist that they aren’t alike, Gem and Fwhip look absolutely identical right now.
“Fine,” she groans, quickly followed by Fwhip throwing his fist in the air and Gem throwing her arms around her.
“Thank you, Lizzie!” Gem laughs. “Would you be free this weekend, or some other time?”
“This weekend, just to get it over with.”
“Oh,” Fwhip calls, “bring Jimmy too, will ya?”
“So you could tease him again?” Lizzie raises a brow.
“I said sorry!”
“I’d rather not have a reason for you to say sorry in the first place, Fwhip.”
“But he’s so little!”
“I’m not little!” Jimmy butts in out of nowhere, jumping on Fwhip’s back, strangling him slightly, “I’m 9 and a half!”
“And I’m 10 and a full!” Fwhip retorts, spinning around in hopes of disorienting the other.
Gem and Lizzie laugh, but still cautiously watch their siblings as they play-fight in the school halls.
“Say Jimmy,” Gem starts, “y’think you can bring Grian to D&D?”
Jimmy drops off Fwhip and beams, “Wait, it’s actually happening!?”
“Yup!”
“Oh, joy!” Jimmy tugs Lizzie’s arm, “Can he Liz? Can he? Can he?”
“If their parents say yes, Jim.”
“Invite Pearl while you’re at it,” Fwhip suggests. “They’re also siblings, right? I’ve had the chance to talk to her in Art Club, and she seems cool.”
“Sure!” Jimmy smiles. “I’ll be sure to tell ‘im, though no promises. Last time he was put in some acting situation, he hated it.”
“Tell him to give it a go,” Gem laughs. “Who knows?”

“Say guys,” Katherine starts as the group clean up their session of the day (a fight against some evil demon plotting to destroy the world), “do y’all remember me mentioning a new friend from school?”
Shelby looks up from compiling their character sheets. “The guy that just moved in your village?”
“Yeah… He’s interested in joining, if you guys don’t mind?”
The rest of the group looks at each other, as if waiting for a confirmation. The silence that comes out of the question almost makes Katherine backtrack, but Fwhip beats her to it.
“If you think he’ll fit in, then sure. The more, the merrier!”

Katherine added Joel to the chat.

“Is Grian ever coming back to a D&D session?” Fwhip asks curiously, while Jimmy and Joel share a look.
“He’ll only come back if it means annoying one of them,” Pearl reasons, “though honestly, I don’t think he finds these games that interesting.”
Lizzie rolls the dice in her hand as she asks, “Will he still be showing up at our hangouts?”
Pearl shakers her head. “Unless we’re doing something other than D&D.”
“I’ll take that,” Jimmy says. “One less person to make fun of my slime trades.”
Joel scoffs. “I do still think it’s kinda stupid.”
“Oh one day Joel, one day, you’ll be forced with this kind of deal and you would NOT be able to say no. Mark my words.”

The next day, Gem stares at their small group of four, trying to not act too out of the ordinary "So..."
It doesn't work. Fwhip tries to hold back his laughter as he looks at Lizzie and Jimmy, each with matching bruises on their forheads.
"Not. A. Word." Lizzie stares him down, which just makes Fwhip burst out loud.
"Look - I expected Jimmy, but Lizzie?"
"Oh you shut up," Jimmy groans, readying to tackle Fwhip now. Even though Fwhip initiates the rough play between them (it's their love language, don't worry), almost all times, their bits end with Fwhip laughing and gasping out "mercy!" or the like, with the few exceptions being when he has help from Joel or their other friends.
The latter stops, running away from the bruised pair with his hands up.

Lizzie and Pearl might as well be knocked off their feet at the sudden “hug attack,” their childhood friends wrapping their arms around them. Of course, the pair quickly return the hug as laughter and excited chatter fill the air.
---
“What’s that on the back of your phone case, Liz?”
Lizzie looks up from her collage to Jimmy, standing with a mug of steaming hot something, (Lizzie smells coffee, maybe from a certain rancher). Joel and Grian trail behind, Grian interrupting her phone peacefully on the dining room table by picking it up and observing the back.
“You look like you had fun lately,” Grian pokes fun at her, light hearted. “Last time I saw your case, it was four squares like 4 Pics, 1 Word.”
“That from your latest hangout?” Jimmy asks, and Lizzie nods with a smile.
“Mhmm. Katherine bought a polaroid camera recently, and she had us pose five different times for each of us.”
“That sounds nice,” Grian comments. “How long have you known them again?”
“Longer than she knew me,” Joel half jokes.
“He’s not wrong,” Lizzie laughs, “but with how we are ‘til now…”
She grins, looking back at her collage – it’s a compilation of pictures with her, Pearl, Gem, Katherine, and Shelby. Some pictures feature them in preschool, in matching uniforms and missing teeth. More pictures have them wearing different clothes and looking older, pictures taken by her parents during the playdates they had when they had time in elementary. Eventually going to different schools made it harder to find common gaps in their schedules, but it makes them treasure their times together more. Most are taken when Lizzie got the go signal to dye her hair pink, when Shelby was allowed to go outside more because she graduated, when Katherine got more piercings, when their group was allowed to meet-up without any parental supervision because they’re ending their teenage years and stepping into adulthood.
And there’s one picture, the latest one, taken in a self-service photo booth they paid with their own savings. The single sheet had eight different poses, each a testament to how much they’ve grown over the years since they first met each other.
“... I’d say I’ve known them forever.”
After some minutes when the glue is dry, Lizzie retrieves the collage she made, admiring it a bit before putting it in a photo album in her drawer. She fishes out her phone, typing a quick message before falling asleep.

A/N: i miss empires smp, so i took this as an opportunity to add the empires crew as the first group of friends lizzie, pearl, joel, and jimmy have. gem's character would also be explored on more in the main story, while the rest may just be supporting characters.
if it wasn't obvious, lizzie & jimmy and pearl & grian are siblings, and fwhip & gem are twins (yes empires references -).

Show me what love is all about by aloas (T)
If Law didn’t know how useless Luffy is when it comes to making plans, he would be complimenting Luffy’s mastermind for always knowing just the right way or the right time to catch Law unguarded. But Law knows that is not the case. So, he curses at the universe. Or fate. Or whatever deity out there that is constantly plotting for Luffy to find Law. (Or the one where Law learns a thing or two about love.)
Answer the Question by Heart_Core (T)
Law’s birthday celebration hadn’t gone the way Luffy expected too, but he was grateful nonetheless.
Our Hearts, Made Whole in Each Other by Purplehairedwonder (G)
Luffy cupped Law’s cheek with his hand, softly grazing his thumb over a yellowing bruise. “Torao is so pretty,” he said quietly, a note of awe in his voice. Law flushed. “Torao’s heart is beating so fast.” “Yeah,” Law agreed, swallowing. “It is.” Luffy’s, despite a few flutters, was beating steadily in Law’s chest. Law, on the other hand, felt pinned to the spot, one hand holding Kikoku and the other in Luffy’s grip. “You should stay.” Law blinked. “What?” “You should stay,” Luffy repeated. “On the Sunny. With me." Written for 10 Days of LawLu 2023 Day 10: Confessions.
Always See the Daylight by Purplehairedwonder (G)
“Why did you want to see my room?” Law asked, both curious and a bit apprehensive at what the response might be. “Because it’s yours!” Luffy said immediately, sitting up quickly. Luffy looked as though the answer had been obvious. For Law, however, that explained exactly nothing. “What—” Luffy looked around, his expression softening in a way that made Law fidgety. “It’s very Torao,” he decided. Written for LawLu Week 2022. Day 5 Prompt: Captain's quarters
Coming Home (To Breathe Again, To Start Again) by Purplehairedwonder (G)
Law had a… complicated relationship with the concept of home. But here on the beach of Wano with Luffy looking at him with such fondness that Law wanted to squirm, he thought that maybe home could be another person.

Pairing: Aaron x fem presenting reader. The reader uses she/her pronouns.
Category: Hurt/comfort/fluff (at the end)
Word Count: 6.6K

Post - Hailey’s passing. Let me know if I missed any.
A/N: Hi loves. It’s time for another meet-cute one-shot. This story is based on the fact that I got to see the solar eclipse two weekends ago. It’s also inspired by @imagining-in-the-margins and her awesome Meet Cute Writing Challenge. The prompt I went off of was: Characters are both stood up at the same date spot. I also want to thank Rome @criminalskies who I bounced this idea off of. Their comments helped build up this narrative. Also, this fic takes place a few years after Hailey’s death. Those who know about astronomy will know that those in Virginia would not actually see the full eclipse, but please just suspend your belief in reality for the sake of the story. I hope you all like this story, and if you do, likes, comments, and reblogs are appreciated! I hope you all have a great Tuesday - Levi
List with all stories
y/n = your name
y/f/a/d = your favorite alcoholic drink
l/n = your last name
e/c = your eye color - aka green eyes, brown eyes, hazel eyes, etc,
y/n was nursing an old-fashioned and bruised ego. It had been half an hour, and “Jake” hadn’t shown up for their date at the bar. She had done all the things that those trying to get back into dating recommended: Pick good realistic pictures, be honest about expectations in the bios, and actually get out there on dates. Because generally, relationships were rarely made solely online. One had to actually go out and meet the guy or girl that had piqued the person’s interest. y/n had gone as far as Facetiming Jake to make sure he wasn’t a catfish. Something about his pictures looked a little too good to be true. But he had been real, and y/n was honestly surprised that he had shown an interest in her.
y/n had agreed to meet him at his favorite bar downtown. She half agreed to see if Jake was pulling her leg. y/n had not been very successful in her dating life. There had been a few flubbed relationships in college and then she had thought she had met the love of her life. It had started out as long distance, but she and her partner had met in person and sparks flew. They had committed and a year later they were engaged. She really thought she was going to have it all. ‘You stupid idiot,’ y/n’s inner monologue chided. y/n took another sip of her drink. She had moved to D.C. for them. It was at that point that she realized that her supposed faithful lover had been cheating on her for five months. And there she was in a new city, looking for a new job, and in some of the worst emotional pain of her life. It had taken her a full year to recover from the hurt and betrayal. y/n now looked at love with a bitterness that she never thought would happen to her. She never thought she was going to grow up to be a cat lady, and as relaxing and unbothered as that life sounded like, part of her still longed for a soft and gentle love. For someone to lean on.
As y/n finished her drink, her gaze fell back to the bar. She cringed at what she saw. It had been happening for the last half hour and it was like watching a trainwreck. She wanted to avert her eyes, but she couldn’t look away. It had started when the very handsome man had stepped into the bar. He was tall and gave off a commanding aura. y/n had rolled her eyes at her brain's choice of words. At this point, she checked the door every time someone came in to see if it was Jake. He was already ten minutes late. But it wasn’t Jake, it was this tall, fit man in a suit and tie that she thought might be Dolce and Gabbana. ‘Out of your tax bracket,’ she thought. y/n tore her eyes away from the man and pulled out her phone to text her date. When it became apparent to her that he wasn’t coming, she got a drink for herself. She’d driven twenty minutes to get here after all, so she was going to enjoy it solo. As she turned back to her spot, she saw the man again. He was seated at a table like hers. He also seemed to be waiting for something. As she passed him, he turned his wrist to look at his watch again. y/n clocked the Rolex, and she was starting to feel a bit jealous of whoever was supposed to be joining this stranger. She huffed at herself. As y/n sat and took a sip of her y/f/a/d she thought, ‘You really need to work on your negative self-talk.’ It took a few more minutes before the attractive man’s face seemed to fall into a morose expression. y/n hadn’t seen the man smile yet, but his face was more somber now than it had been before. He was also looking at the door from time to time, and y/n genuinely wondered if he had also been stood up. She couldn’t help but think, ‘Well whoever stood this guy up is a real dummy.’
A few minutes later, the man got up and moved to a seat at the bar instead. The place was crowded. She assumed he did this to make room for a group that had just entered the establishment. This meant the man was kind and had a taste in fashion. Double whammy. The trainwreck part of the night started when a woman, who was clearly a few drinks in, started hitting on the man. The inebriated woman had ordered a drink and made a comment about “How such a hot guy was at a bar alone?” The man had politely answered but showed no interest in a continued conversation. The woman did not pick up on these cues. The man declined when the woman asked to buy him a drink and to have him join her at her table upstairs. Finally, the woman went away, and the man looked relieved. But if anything, apart from the fact that the woman had probably had one too many, was the fact that she was relentless. She had come back and tried to convince the man two more times to join her or go home with her, or any assortment of awkward pick-up lines and lewd suggestions she could think of. Given what he was enduring, the man was handling the situation with incredible grace and decorum.
y/n actually felt a small bit of pity for the drunk woman. She didn’t have her full faculties and if she had that much to drink, she might be throwing herself at the man just the same. And now the woman was back for a third time. And this time she was getting handsy. It was at this that y/n felt discomfort. The man was firmer now, but the woman’s hands continued to feel over his shoulders and chest. The man looked around uncomfortably, and y/n thought, ‘Would someone stop this, please!” y/n clearly realized that if someone was going to stop what was happening at the bar, then it was going to have to be her. A wild and outlandish idea hit her, and she couldn’t believe she was actually doing this. She stood and approached the pair. y/n cleared her throat and stood next to the man, separating him from the woman. She placed her hand on his shoulder. As he looked at her, she stated, loudly enough for the other woman to hear, “Hey, honey. Sorry, it took me so long to get here. The traffic was terrible getting into the city.”
Aaron was suffering. The latest case had been rough. The unsub was a veteran who had fallen on hard times and had started using drugs to cope with the trauma he had endured during the first invasion of Iraq. Along with the drugs, he had started to form delusions and fallen into some extremist conspiracy theories. The man had started bombing churches, and at the last minute, the team was able to save a religious building from imploding. And Aaron was relieved by this, but he had made a bad call. He fully assumed that the unsub would give up and get the treatment he desperately needed if the man’s former commanding officer gave the unsub orders to stand down. The man did seem to give up, but at the last second, the unsub approached his old superior. He pulled out a trigger and set off a pipe bomb that he had hidden in his cargo pants; killing himself and his former officer instantly.
The team was lucky that the area was cleared by the bomb squad because the blast was so strong that it shook the ground and knocked out the glass windows two buildings away. And now Aaron had to live with his choice to send an active duty and decorated military officer into that situation. He had gambled and lost. After that, there had been piles and piles of paperwork, and a reprimand from Strauss about his ability to do his job well and lead the team. There was also a piece in the news highlighting the team's failure. Hotch had made sure that any heat the team took from the public was aimed at him. They hadn’t been the ones to make the call. He had. And yes, the paperwork, reprimand, and public disapproval were annoying, but it was never going to be enough to make up for the loss of life. After this, Aaron actually felt like he understood how Gideon had felt those many years ago in Boston.
Hotch had completely forgotten that he had agreed to meet a woman he was talking to on a dating app three days after he had returned home from the case. She had texted him in the morning asking if they were still on. He felt like it was too late to cancel on the woman, so he agreed even if he really wasn’t feeling it. He planned to fake it on the date, gently let the woman down, and then delete everything off his phone when he got home. He wasn’t in a place to be in a relationship right now. Aaron was glad when his date didn’t show up. Once what felt like an appropriate time had passed for him to sit at the table for two, he got up and moved to the bar. He did like this bar, which is why he had suggested it in the first place. Hotch would never be a man to drown his sorrows, but tonight, after everything that had happened, he allowed himself to have a drink alone. Then a different kind of discomfort from being stood up appeared, as a woman approached him. Aaron did everything he could to let her down and get her to leave him alone with his thoughts. The logical side of Hotch’s brain told him to get up and leave, but some maladapted piece of him told him that this was some sort of cosmic justice for his mistakes. He was uncomfortable when the woman started touching him, and at this point, with no other solution in sight apart from fleeing the scene, he got ready to close out.
When another woman approached him and stood between himself and the person who had essentially been groping his chest. He felt even more apprehensive. But when the new stranger said, “Hey, honey. Sorry it took me so long to get here. The traffic was terrible getting into the city,” he blinked a few times in confusion. It took him a beat to realize what the new person was offering; a lifeline. Hotch immediately played along and said, “Now worries, darling. I’m just happy you got here safe. I know it can be a long commute.” The woman gave him a reassuring smile, and he continued, “How about we find a place that’s a little more private?” The woman nodded, and Aaron got up from his seat. The other woman who was still standing close by looked crestfallen, as the two of them moved across the room to the table y/n had been sitting at before. Aaron, having the opportunity to really make this look real of the woman still standing at the bar, ghosted his arm behind his savior's waist. He didn’t actually make physical contact with her body. He didn’t want to make her uncomfortable, or for her to think that he was some creep taking advantage of her kindness, but he faked it well enough, and the woman at the bar made a hasty retreat upstairs.
At the table, they both sat down for a second, and Aaron sincerely said, “Thank you. I was really at a loss back there.” The woman gave him a small smile and replied, “I’m happy to help. I can’t believe that actually worked. It felt like being in the scene of a romcom.” For the first time that evening, Aaron smiled. It was small, but it was still an actual smile. He extended his hand and said, “Aaron, Hotchner.” The woman took it and replied, “y/n, l/n.” There was a moment of silence and then the woman said, “Aaron huh. I kind of pegged you as a Thomas.” Again there was another silence and Aaron looked at the table and asked, “I’m sorry, am I in someone’s seat? Are you waiting for somebody?” y/n seemed to deflate at this and said, “No. The man who was supposed to be meeting me made it pretty clear that he wasn’t going to show up forty minutes ago when he was allegedly arriving.” Hotch let out a breath and said, “Well, you’re not alone in that.”
Hearing this response confirmed that Aaron had been stood up like she assumed. y/n replied, “Sometimes I really can’t stand the idea of dating anymore.” Aaron heard the sarcastic bite of the statement, but underneath there was a real note of sorrow. He took a moment to look over y/n carefully. For someone that had their date ditch them, y/n seemed nonplussed, comfortable even. She was leaning against the back of her chair with one hand slung over the back. She had an air of disinterest like nothing could bother her. Somehow Aaron didn’t believe the persona she was exuding. He looked over her face. It was too dark in the bar for him to see if her e/c's were dilated or not. Whenever Hotch made a close observation of those he got close to, especially women.
They had some kind of attraction tell. He couldn’t figure out why exactly. What they saw in him apart from his height which he knew some people were attracted to. Other than that, he was rapidly approaching middle age, his crows-feet stated that clearly to the world. And though he tried to stay active between cases, taking care of Jack meant less physical activity, and that showed on his body. He didn’t hate himself or anything, just that he thought he could be improved. Aaron snapped to the present when y/n said, “I’m going to grab another drink? Do you want something?” Hotch thought for a second. In y/n’s offering to get him a drink was an invitation for him to stay a bit longer. He didn’t want to intrude, but talking to y/n meant he couldn’t hold a pity party for himself. He also wanted to see if y/n really was as nonchalant as she let on. He cleared his throat and said, “Yes. A gin and tonic, please.” y/n nodded and moved back to the bar.
As she went to get a second round of drinks, she could still feel how Aaron’s warm eyes had been looking at her -- deeply, like he was trying to solve a puzzle. She hadn’t fully expected him to accept her offer for a drink, but she had asked because she wanted to spend a few more minutes with him. Because she didn’t expect to spend a lot of time with anyone like this again in a long while, so why not go out with a bang? Also, there was the fact that he was very attractive. The closer he got to her, the better he looked. As she waited for her order, she casually looked back at Aaron, and he seemed to have drifted to a distant place. She frowned. Like this, he looked sad. She wondered what was bothering him so much. Before her breakup, people had told her that she wore her heart on her sleeve, and she was a fool for doing so. After the cheating incident, she had buried that part of her deep inside. But sometimes it came out. When she was sad or needed comfort, or she saw someone hurting. The bartender called for y/n, and she took the glasses in her hand. y/n moved back to the table and she set down their drinks. She was about to sit down, but a noise from behind her caught her attention.
Aaron sat straighter when y/n came back. He said, “Thank you,” and he watched as y/n pulled out of her chair. He watched as the woman who had been hitting on him seemed to be getting ready to leave. She was on unsteady feet and had her keys out. She kept jiggling said keys as she moved toward the door. Hotch frowned and thought that he should do something. Before he could, y/n quietly said, “Excuse me.” y/n turned and moved a few feet across the floor to the woman. Aaron was close enough to the pair to hear y/n say, “Hey ma’am. Miss.” The woman attempting to leave turned and moved toward y/n. y/n put a steadying hand on the woman’s arm and said, “Hey again, you’re not going to try and drive home right?” The woman slurred but affirmed that was her plan. y/n nodded her head no, and replied, “No. I don’t think you should drive. Let me get you an Uber or a cab?” The woman replied, “‘Is only a few blocks down. I’m okay.” y/n replied encouragingly, “Great, if it’s close, then an Uber can get you there in no time and it won’t be expensive. I don’t want you driving. It’s not safe for you.” y/n pulled out her phone and after a second, asked the woman for her address. It took the woman a moment, but she finally thought of it and punched it in on y/n’s phone. y/n double-checked with the woman that this really was her address before punching the request ride button.
The Uber was only two minutes away, and one of the bar's employees offered to walk the woman out once he had the license plate written down. When this was done, Aaron watched as she moved back to the table. When she sat down again, she said, “Sorry about that.” As she took a sip of her drink. He said, “Don’t be. That was very kind of you.” For the first time that night, those words seemed to get to the woman. She flushed slightly and let out the smallest of exhales. And maybe, just maybe he had been right about her not being as aloof as she let on. y/n replied, “Honestly if you left me in this bar for another two hours I might be acting like her.” She paused and tacked on, “I have acted like her, many, many years ago.” Aaron and the y/n spoke for the remainder of their drinks. They talked about easy topics like bands and the weather. Aaron shifted the conversation away from work. He was having an enjoyable time, and he didn’t want to have to think about his job right now. There would be plenty of time for that when he got home. As the two parted ways, neither expected to see the other ever again.
It wasn’t until next month that their paths crossed again like figure skaters on a frozen lake. Aaron was feeling much better. Less despondent. The team had really bolstered around him. They weren’t clingy, because they knew he hated that, but they had been understanding, compassionate even. Hotch was gearing up for another Monday in the office. He was just taking off his two guns and placing them along with his keys and sunglasses in a plastic container. His briefcase and duffle also went into a tray that would go through security. The security guard motioned for Aaron to move through the metal detector which he did. And as he did every day he was in the office, he lifted his arms slightly as the guard patted him down the chest and legs. This was an obvious security need for the job, but he didn’t always like it. He didn’t get a lot of physical contact, and this didn’t exactly cut it for comfort. But it was always quick, and he would grab his things and pretend that it didn’t bother him.
Aaron looked up when he heard Daryl Jones's deep baritone voice coming his way. Agent Jones was the Unit Chief for the Drug and Firearm unit like he was the Chief of the BAU. The two teams intersected on cases every now and then. Aaron was never not surprised by Jones’s deep voice. It was the deepest voice he had ever heard. There was another voice too. Much lighter in pitch and tone. Hotch looked up and was surprised to see the woman who had helped him during the uncomfortable encounter at the bar. He wracked his brains for her name, and after a moment it came to him; y/n. The security guard let him go, and Aaron quickly took his things and moved toward y/n and Jones. As he drew nearer, y/n looked over to him and the surprise on her face must have looked like he had moments earlier. She looked over his badge. Rather awkwardly, y/n extended her hand and said, “Hello again, Aaron.” Hotch took her hand and replied, “Good morning, y/n. Is everything alright?”
Jones looked between the two and asked, “Agent Hotchner, do you know Ms. l/n?” Aaron could sense that y/nwas slightly embarrassed, and he answered quickly, “We’ve met once before.” Jones nodded and y/n looked up to Aaron and answered his question saying, “I think everything will be alright. Thanks to Agent Jones.” Daryl replied, “Well, I’ll do what I can, and if you see anything else suspicious or troubling please come and see me again, alright?” y/n nodded and said, “I will, thanks.” Jones nodded and gave the woman a reassuring pat on the shoulder. As she moved forward, y/n turned back to Aaron and said, “It was good to see you again Aaron.” With that, she moved through security and out the doors of the bureau.
Hotch watched, as she left, and he turned back to Jones and asked, “What was that all about?” Jones moved with Aaron back toward the elevators and said, “You know about the Menendez cocaine ring we’ve been trying to crack?” Hotch nodded yes, but wasn’t sure how this factored into the discussion of y/n. All the Unit Chiefs met weekly and updated the others on what was happening, and if there was any need for the teams currently working on a case to cross-coordinate. Jones’s team had been after a drug cartel for months, but every time they got close, the leads seemed to disappear. Jones had started to believe that there must be someone on the inside who was either FBI or police. As it turned out, Daryl might be right as he said, “Well Ms. l/n was trying to file a report about some drug activity. Janet, my liaison had asked her why she didn’t go to the police, and l/n stated that she had seen an officer she knows works for the city going into the house allegedly selling drugs.
She was scared that if she reported it to LEOs, there might be repercussions.” Aaron processed the information. y/n was right to avoid the cops if she expected them to be involved. There had been many cases where those supposed to be protecting and serving, overstepped those boundaries. Jones continued his story and said, “When Janet heard the part about the potential police involvement, she brought me in on the conversation. I asked Ms. l/n a lot of questions. She was very patient. And by the end of that conversation, I’m pretty sure we have a good lead for Menendez.” Hotch let out a breath.
For a second a flash of fear for y/n moved through him. Having her, or anyone living near illegal activity was dangerous. Doubly so now that she had made a report about it. Aaron pushed that thought aside. As unfortunate as it was, he didn’t have the time to be worried about everybody. If he did there would be no time to get any work done. It was good that the Menendez case was getting some new life, and Aaron said, “It’s good you have a new lead. I understand that the case has been ongoing for a while.” Jones sighed and said, “Tell me about it.” There was a moment of silence as the men got on the elevator and pushed their floor buttons.
Daryl looked over to Aaron and asked, “How do you know y/n exactly;?” Hotch flushed briefly and said, “We just ran into each other last month. I don’t know her personally.” Hotch was glad that Jones was not a profiler, because if he was, his colleague might see how his body was softly saying, ‘But you want to know her personally.’ Aaron sighed and exited the elevator on floor six. He moved past the bullpen and up to his office. As he sat, he couldn’t deny that y/n was beautiful. She had been dressed up at the bar. She had been expecting a date after all. But today she was dressed more casually and it looked good on her. Aaron let out a breath and settled into his chair. It was going to be a day full of paperwork, and with head a bit aflutter, he didn’t mind the mindless work for once.
The next time they met would be the one that started their relationship. Aaron was sitting in the waiting room to be called back by his therapist. Strauss had required him to attend seven therapy sessions after the bombing incident. She didn’t want a repeat of Gideon. Aaron had gone and talked about what had happened. Talked about his feelings. It was awkward, but he knew why he needed to go. When the required sessions were over, he decided to continue with a different therapist. Someone who might better address his personal needs and complicated past. That was how he met Dr. Chekov. At the consultation, Aaron felt good, and the therapist agreed to take Aaron on as his client.
Now they met monthly on Tuesday evenings after he was finished with work. Aaron was grateful to have a safe space to air his emotions and thoughts about the past and present. He thought it was doing things to better his mental health. He had slowly stopped beating himself up about his body. He was now working through the grief that was losing Hailey. It was some of the most painful work he had done, but it was necessary. He knew that he couldn’t carry that hurt forever. At least not how it was now. Aaron checked his watch. Dr. Chekov must be running over with another client. Hotch’s eyes raised to the door as the bell went off. His eyes widened when y/n walked through the open door. He thought, ‘You have to be kidding me.’ The office space housed multiple therapists, so it wasn’t surprising that someone else would be waiting in the waiting room, but it was surprising that y/n would end up in the same building as him, again.
y/n checked in for her appointment with her therapist. She had to reschedule her appointment due to a work emergency. Her therapist, Dr. Glen, had been very accommodating and had slipped her in at a later time that week. She turned once she had handed the form to the receptionist to find a seat while she waited. The office was pretty empty, but her eyes caught onto Aaron’s, and she let out a small breath of surprise. She could see that he was just as surprised as her, and y/n smiled and moved to sit next to him. She pointed to the chair adjacent to his and asked, “This seat taken?” It was a rhetorical question. Hotch chuckled at her inquiry. The office was virtually empty. He replied, “I think it is.”
y/n sat next to him, and as she put her purse on the ground their shoulders touched. Feeling the warmth of her body, even for a moment, made him flush. When y/n righted, she looked at him and said, “It’s nice to see you again, Aaron. What a surprise it would be here. How have you been doing?” y/n thought back to the first time they had met and how he had looked so deeply saddened. As she looked him over, she thought he looked better. More relaxed. It made her glad. Aaron replied, “I’m doing better, I think. I’m trying.” Hotch could see that she was really looking at him. That she cared about what he was saying. After a beat, he asked, “How are you, y/n. How are things in your neighborhood? I might have asked Agent Jones about what was going on when I saw you at the bureau.”
y/n flushed when she heard that Aaron had checked in on her. She cleared her throat softly and said, “I’ve been alright. I’m kind of going through something, thus the therapy, but otherwise, I’m well. And it’s the same with the neighborhood. There are still people coming and going at all hours of the night. I just avoid any interaction with them as Agent Jones suggested.” Aaron nodded and said, “Good. If you ever feel unsafe please just leave. Come to the bureau again and Agent Jones can help you figure something out.” Hotch thought about how she was going through something, and he wanted to ask what it was. But he didn’t want to pry or bring up bad memories for y/n. y/n similarly wanted to ask Aaron about working in the FBI, but she didn’t know how much he could talk about his work given its sensitive nature. So they sat there in silence until y/n finally asked, “Aaron, would you like to get coffee with me sometime?” She sounded rather embarrassed as she asked. She smiled again, brightly as he said, “I’d like that, y/n.”
They had gone to coffee, and neither of them approached it like a date, but by the end of the two hours of just talking, it was clear to both of them that there was a connection between them. Then they had gone rock climbing at y/n favorite gym, and she had complained about how unfair it was that Aaron could get routes in so few moves due to his height. She also didn’t really believe that he hadn’t done a significant amount of bouldering before that night. When he teasingly said that he really didn’t practice beforehand, she could only assume that he was very athletic, and a man of many talents. Then they had gone to dinner. And y/n met Jack when they watched a kid's movie together. And the love bloomed between them. Aaron hadn’t told the team about them yet, but he was going to ask if y/n would like to join him at Rossi’s next party. It would be an easy way for her to meet the other important people in his life. But for now, they were cruising down the highway to get to a park a half hour out of town.
Aaron hoped it wouldn’t be too crowded. When y/n had said she was excited to see the eclipse, Aaron had suggested they go together with Jack and make a day of it. y/n had readily agreed. Aaron was keeping his eyes on the road and playing some soft jazz at a low level. y/n was half-turned in her seat talking to Jack about school and soccer. When they arrived at the small park, y/n and Aaron were relieved to see that there weren't many cars in the lot. y/n helped unbuckle Jack while Aaron carried the cooler from the back of the car. Aaron had brought some sodas for them to drink while they waited for the solar event. y/n had also packed them some sandwiches and chips to snack on for lunch.
The group found a clear spot on the grass. There were a few other families and a couple or two scattered around the field. Jack was restless and asked, “What’re we waiting for Daddy?” Aaron looked over to his son and said, “Well, in around an hour something is going to happen to the sun. It will get kind of dark. We even have some special glasses so we can look at it while it happens.” Jack seemed to understand a little and said, “What happens to the sun? Is it fast?” Aaron looked over to y/n. She knew more about this than him.
y/n beamed at Jack and moved to sit in front of him. She explained, “Well, you know the sun and moon right?” Jack nodded eagerly. y/n continued, stating, “Well there are some special times when the moon actually gets in front of the sun. It looks like a ring in the sky. It’s kind of like magic.” Jack’s eyes grew wide and he asked, “Why is it a ring?” y/n tried to think about how to best answer. After she found the words, she said, “The sun is a lot bigger than the moon, so when the moon is in front of the sun, you can still see some of it. Isn’t that cool?”
Aaron watched on with a smile at y/n’s enthusiasm and Jack’s attention. As much as his son seemed to want to see the eclipse, he was a six-year-old, and he got restless quickly. Aaron had brought a soccer ball in case this happened. The two played around the field while y/n watched on. She watched while she was lying on her stomach, head propped up in her hands. A gentle smile was on her face. She loved looking at Aaron like this. He was so good with Jack. After he had told her about Hailey’s death, she understood why he was so protective of his son. Why the love was compounded in him. The man had lost someone so painfully. When y/n thought about the hurt that he had endured, she still ached for him, even though he was happy and smiling now. She could never replace what Hailey had been to him, and they were too early in their relationship to think about marriage, but she was glad she could bring Aarons some comfort and joy.
As it got closer to the eclipse, y/n gave everyone their special glasses. They all looked up to the burning star in the sky that was slowly beginning to be covered by the moon. It wasn’t until about another fifteen minutes that the moon was almost entirely eclipsing the sun. And then it happened. The moon centered in front of the sun, and the star made a perfect bright ring in the sky. Aaron looked at the phenomenon for a moment longer before he turned his face to Jack and y/n. He slipped off his glasses and saw the awe on Jack’s face. His gaze then fell on y/n and he felt such a warmth looking at her that the sun being blocked out didn’t even make the world feel cold or darkened. Because when he looked at y/n it was like he was looking at his own personal star, and they were gravitationally pulled to each other. Aaron thought about how the moon had slotted perfectly in front of the sun, forming that ring in the sky. How he felt like his life was coming full circle. The last three years had held such change. There was the pain of losing Hailey and caring for Jack, and he didn’t know how he could go on. And then, like a shooting star y/n had crossed his sky, and he thought that he would never see her again. But he had, and now he had found happiness again. A lasting happiness that no cloud or moon could hide.
After the eclipse, they all had their lunches and then piled back into the car and drove home. Jack quickly fell asleep in the back seat, and y/n moved her hand to his thigh, resting it on the soft flesh. Back at his apartment, y/n moved Jack to his room and tucked him in while Aaron emptied the water and ice from the ice chest in the small front yard of his apartment. When he stepped back inside, he found y/n seated on the couch, and he moved to her. He sat near the edge of the couch and opened his arms for her.
y/n nestled into his arms and chest, and he snaked his arms around her back. One of his hands rested on her lower back and the other was softly stroking the area between her shoulder blades. y/n relaxed against him and hummed contentedly. Aaron quietly asked, “Is Jack still asleep?” He could feel her nod her head yes against his chest, and she replied, “Yes. He’s out like a light. I think this was a pretty exciting day for him.” Hotch moved his hands to her hips, and he set his head back a little to rest on the side of the couch. At this angle, he could see some of Jack's door and the hallway that led to his room. The feeling of y/n resting on him was never going to get old to him. It brought him such comfort. After a short silence, he asked, “Did you enjoy today? I know you were looking forward to it.” _y/n_ replied, “I really did. I love spending time with Jack, and you of course.” As she spoke, her hands made their way to his chest and then slowly down his stomach.
Aaron closed his eyes at the warmth that seeped through him. She continued talking, saying, “I think its so amazing that we live on this speck of dust in an infinite universe, and we get to get to see it working. I think that’s pretty special.” Hotch hummed his agreement. He loved it when she spoke like this. Honest and slightly rambling, but fully from the heart. When she had told him about the person who had left her bitter and emotionally broken, he could understand and empathize. But when she spoke like this, he knew that she was coming back to herself. That she was comfortable sharing her heart with him. y/n slipped her hand under his polo and he sucked in a breath. Her fingers gently moved over his abdomen. y/n used her middle finger to swirl the trail of hair that started at his belly button and grew lower down his navel.
Her touch wasn’t sexual, though it could be if they wanted it. But of course, they would never do that with Jack so close. The contact was just to let Aaron know that she was here. _y/n_ found her voice and said, “It was also beautiful. It’s unique. There’s nothing else like it in the universe, and I love it very, very much.” Hotch could sense that she was looking at him, and when he opened his eyes he felt his breath leave his body. She was watching over him with such care and affection, and he knew she wasn’t speaking about the eclipse anymore. As he shifted up to kiss her with a passion. He said, “I love you y/n. More than anything in the world.” They bridged the gap between them, and as their mouths met, it was like the sun kissing the moon, impossibly unlikely, but beautiful and rare as an eclipse.

((I KNOW I LATE BUT HERE :) also its kinda long so i hope you do read it all it was fun to write !! :D ))
March 10th (Part 1/2) Remus woke up to the sunlight pouring into the empty dorm room. He ran a hand down his face rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. A yawn escaped his lips as he sat up stretching his joints cracking slightly. He exhaled and slowly got to his feet, doing a brief glance around the room, again noticing that it was empty. It confused him, normally the others were notorious for sleeping in on a weekend and Remus was not. He pushed the thought aside and began to get dressed for the day. He pulled on one of his famous ‘Moony’ jumpers as Sirius called them and a pair of cozy trousers. He picked up his messenger-style bag off the floor and placed it on his bed for the time being. He put in a few books; Little Woman as well as another that Regulus had recommended to him. He tucked his way into the bag, as well as his journal and a regulus muggle pen. He preferred to use them instead of quills. He closed his bag and put it over his his so it sat across his body. He ran a hand through his hair tousling it slightly. He slipped on a pair of coffee-coloured Converse before leaving the dorm and making his way down into the common room. Still, his friends were nowhere to be found, and a slight frown formed on his face. Had they forgotten?
"Good Morning Remus," The sound of Lily's cheerful tone broke through Remus' thoughts.
Remus formed a small smile, "Morning Lily" he replied. "Do you know by chance where the others are?" he asked.
Lily's smile turned into more of a mischievous grin. "Oh yes, I do believe they are in the great hall. They all wanted you to sleep in on you birthday morning, Happy Birthday by the way."
Remus' shoulders relaxed a bit, "Thank you Lily." he replied. "Have you already gone and eaten? Or would you like to join me?"
"Oh I've gone already, you go on," Lily replied. Her smile scared Remus a bit, it had to mean that the others mainly James and Sirius were up to something.
"Okay, well I'll see you around Lily," Remus said and began to head towards the exit of the common room and out into the hallway. He exhaled a little, as he headed down the corridors and towards the great hall.
Once he stepped inside he wished he hadn’t. As soon as he stepped in. He heard two loud and booming voices of James and Sirius echo around the hall.
"Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to you Happy birthday dear Moony Happy birthday to youuuuu!!"
Remus' face grew bright red, he really didn't like being the centre of attention. Did he appreciate the gesture he wished they hadn't gone and done it in front of the whole school. He turned to walk out only to be greeted by Lily who snapped a Polaroid photo of him.
Remus blinked from the flash and walked passed her without a word, heading towards the library. He didn't want to have to face all those people. He could hear Sirius shout after him but he didn't quite catch what he was saying.
To let out a long exhale as he entered the library, he walked over to the back corner and sat in one of the cozy chairs there. He set his bag down and pulled out his book. He brought his legs up onto the chair. He opened where his bookmark was and picked up where he last left off before bed last night.
He had been reading for about five or so minutes when he heard the footfalls of someone "Moony I am so sorry," Sirius began to day. "I thought it would be a fun idea great way to start off your birthday but clearly I was a complete fucking idiot and ruined everything, I know you don't like attention, I know what the hell I was thinking." Sirius rambled on.
This brought a light chuckle from Remus, he closed his book and slipped it back into his bag. He then got to his feet and smiled at him, "It's okay Sirius, it was a nice thought. Maybe just next time try and contain it to just our friends, the whole school doesn't need to know" he said.
"i beg to differ but as you wish Moony" Sirius smiled at him. "Will you come back to the great hall, Pete and Lily made sure that your favourite breakfast would be there... and i made you some tea"Remus smiled a bit, "Sirius, my favourite breakfast is toast. We always have toast" he said "But thank you anyways" he said. "yes let's head back."
They two headed back and they sat side by side at the table. Remus happily ate the toast that was made for him and sipped the tea, which he did use a spell to heat it up again as it did get a bit cold. He conversed with his friends, each of whom apologized for the scene they had created, of course, Remus forgave them. He even let Lily keep the photo for the memories. part 2:

The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 03/April/2024
Do you ever have a week where there’s so much going on, but it feels really good to tick so many tasks off your list?
Well, I had one of those weeks, hehe! :D
First up was finishing up all the edits to the demo section, which went super smoothly, and it was great fun reading the comments from them. I always appreciate how they take the extra time to write what they’re enjoying, or their fun reactions to things that happen as they edit!
Then it was onto social media days! The sporadic internet has still been a major obstacle, but I actually managed to get on long enough to get some asks done! That was great fun getting to do those and indulge in getting to talk about Wayhaven even more with you guys, hehe!
With the Patreon content, I worked on the sketch for Adam/Ava’s masquerade mask for the upcoming ball in Book Four, which was both awesome because I loved the ideas and inspiration I had for it, but also was nice to get some drawing in! That’ll be going up on Patreon later this month!
And then I even managed to get a massive amount done on Chapter Two! Way more than I expected yet again, so this chapter is seriously moving on at a pace! I was actually starting to think I’d get it finished next week…but then I decide to move a big chunk from the start of Chapter Three to the end of Chapter Two, lol.
The flow will be much better. Where it ended before would have been a great cliffhanger at the end of Chapter Two but it just…it didn’t feel like where it should have ended. So, moving that section now makes it feel more like the chapter I wanted.
This new ending section does contain more variation to account for love interests, etc, so will take a bit longer, but at least that means it will also make the second demo section that much more chunkier! :D
But the first demo section is now with my final set of readers, so hopefully not long until I get to share that with you all!
I hope you all have the most amazing weekend! We'll be offline as usual, so I'll update you all again next week! <3
