So, I guess this is as good a time as any to come out as a fake First stan because I haven’t actually watched his full filmography 🙈—mostly because I have a super low tolerance for het stuff. But I am always happy to chat about First, so here are my power rankings for the couples I have seen.

Khaotung

What can I say? I’m obsessed with these two. Although I think their physical chemistry could still use some work, no one is going to top them in emotional scenes. You don’t get the “You can be weak—at least with me” scene in The Eclipse if it’s not First and Khaotung. You don’t get that raw emotional connection. There are only three branded pairs working right now that I truly believe make each other better actors and FK is one of them. 

Mix

5 minutes. That’s how long we got to see these two happy and in love. 5 fucking minutes. I kind of alluded to this above, but one of the things I think FK are still learning is how to make their intimate scenes more realistic. Their touches are very…polite. Mix is not polite. He plays sultry really well and is a natural flirt. The fact that First and Mix were able to sell this relationship (and make us root for it) with only five minutes of screen time is truly impressive. I’m looking forward to seeing them work together again in Only Friends.

Gawin

I need slutty First back, you guys. I miss him so much. Him and Gawin both have a very wide range and I would love to see them work together again. A lot of Dan and Yok's interactions are awkward, but they’re supposed to be. For two young actors who had never worked together before, I think First and Gawin did a fantastic job. I mean, they had me shipping my fave with a cop, so they must have done something right.

Ohm

Listen, I will be a The Shipper apologist until the day I die and the PanKhet romance is simply top tier. I’m still amazed at what First was able to do here as a relatively young actor playing two different characters sharing one body and somehow still managing to keep his chemistry with each of the pairs consistent throughout (i.e. First as Kim’s chemistry with Ohm is different than First as Pan’s chemistry with Ohm.) I do have to deduct points, however, for the fact that all of this delicious romantic chemistry was taking place between brothers, but hey. You can’t win them all.

Fluke

Fluke should not be so low on this list and I think if him and First were to work together now it would be an entirely different story, but what makes his chemistry with First a bit more difficult to judge is that for most of their intimate scenes, First and Prigkhing are splitting the lines between them (since they are, you know, sharing a body and all). It’d be interesting to see them work together now, though. I think they would kill it.

Up

LISTEN. Go watch this commercial if you haven’t already. It’s fantastic. And honestly, if I had more material to judge them on, these two might jump all the way up to 4th. You wonder if they even remember filming this? They should make it into an actual BL.

That's everything I've seen, but feel free to let me know in the comments if I need to watch more of First's het stuff. I'll suffer through it for him. Maybe.

And, as a bonus, I would sell a kidney to see him in a BL with Tay Tawan. I know it'll never happen, but a girl can dream.

Tuff is the kind of person to get really attached to random crap that he finds, stuff like rocks and buttons that he later takes to his room to hoard with the rest of his random assortment of odds and ends

He knows a bunch of random stuff for the sake of knowing weird things,,, kinda like how he was training with the town officiator??? That's so random (there's also a throwaway line about Berk losing many educators to Tuff I think which implies that he actually studies under people)

He's very good at forging other people's handwriting. He uses it to screw with people and to get into places he really shouldn't be in

Also does very good impressions of his friends

Viggo -

Used to have a pet yak or something that his family killed and ate and he's been sad and edgy ever since

The yak's name was Fluffy bc it was kinda fluffy and he's not a creative person

He was the definition of annoying little brother

Kinda like Tuffnut learning weird shit for the sake of knowing weird shit he has a very extensive vocabulary just because he can and also it makes talking to people more fun

Viggo & Tuff -

Bc of all of my hcs about them accumulating weird facts/knowledge and stuff they have extensive existential conversations explaining the most obscure things to each other, by the end of them they are the only ones who understand what each other are talking about

Viggo is very intrigued by the twins' sibling relationship because it is nothing like his relationship with Ryker (it's much closer and more trusting, too, so he's a little jealous)

Tuff assures him that he is NOT missing out and that he wishes he had anybody other than Ruffnut

Viggo is also just fascinated by Tuffnut, he's not used to his general levels of absurdity, and his recklessness as well as his enjoyment of dangerous and painful situations, he just thinks he's neat

Viggo treats Chicken very seriously, which Tuffnut appreciates (so does Chicken)

Ruffnut relaxes around Viggo when she realizes that Tuffnut allowed him to take care of Chicken for a day while he was very busy

skk (romantic/platonic) - i could go on for a while but I'll try to keep it short. These two have so much trust in one another, no matter how much they try and claim otherwise. They know the other has their back. No matter what the situation, no matter how much time has passed, just. no matter what. They also definitely do hate each other because they see the worst of themselves reflected in the other BUT they also see the best of the other despite these parts, even if they try and deny it. They bring out the worst and the best in each other. When they're together, they don't have to have their guard or facades up. Together, they can enjoy the things they typically don't get to, such as arcades or just being stupid for no good reason. They can find their lost childhoods and the essence of who they could have been in a different world within each other. They also understand each other on such deep level. they don't even need words or signals. They just know. They also believe in the humanity of the other despite, once again, how much they try and deny it.

kunicuuzai (romantic/platonic)- kunizai on its own is okay, but i prefer all three together for reasons that are probably just stupid and personal but meh. anyway. You have the above dynamic but also added in you have Kunikida who is an idealist. He is someone who never wants to see someone die before his eyes. He is a self-sacrificing, bleeding human who has seen horrors but always chooses good (i have some hcs about a delinquent past but that's a different story). He can help Dazai and Chuuya see their humanities and the good parts in themselves that they feel they have lost. He can soothe over some of their aches and pains in a way neither Chuuya or Dazai can do for themselves or each other because Kunikida has never been in an organization that has asked him to kill ruthlessly, relentlessly. He also is the only one who can keep their bullshit shenanigans to a more tolerable amount (that said, he also loves shenanigans. he also loves safety and getting home on time for dinner). Dazai and Chuuya help Kunikida see the more fun things in life and how it can be okay to deviate from his schedule sometimes. Sometimes, it's okay to be horribly selfish.

Dazai and Oda (platonic only)- I was a lil torn between saying Oda or Atsushi or Ango for my platonic relationship, but ultimately, Oda did have the largest impact on his life (I have gone on rants about him and Ango before and probably will do so again). Anyway. There is the way Chuuya understands Dazai, but then there is the way that Oda did. Oda could see the deep lonlieness inside of Dazai. He could see that Dazai is too smart, too clever, too something to ever find something that will fulfill him in life. And that's heartbreaking. And yet, Oda tried his best to help Dazai out. He kept him company, he indulged him (I'm pretty confident Oda always knew Dazai was lying about his injuries), and he surely taught Dazai many things and comforted him to the best of his abilities when he could. Oda understood Dazai as if Oda had lived a life inside his body (i cannot think of a less creepy way to describe this sorry xD). Oda understood Dazai. Oda called Dazai a friend. Oda cared for Dazai and encouraged him to at least find the beauty in life, to atl east use his talents for good, even if none of it will ever make Dazai truly want to live. It's incredibly heartwarming and tragic all at once and GOD. reading tdipud (both sides) and Beast really makes Dark Era hurt that much extra. In every fic I write, I want Oda to be alive so they can be happy together as stupid friends, but his death is so vital to Dazai's development that I have not been able to bring myself to keep him alive thus far. Perhaps someday I can let them be happy (doubtful).

1. Kiss… good morning & 2. Kiss… goodnight

George groaned when his alarm went off, the sound low and pained, pulling itself from the back of his throat. The three am wake up call for a six fifteen flight always seemed less miserable on paper compared to in practice. He rolled over onto his back, his phone still screeching from where it lay on the bedside table, he groped blindingly, desperately pressing the snooze button so that the insistent siren-esque alarm would stop at least for the next eight minutes. He groaned again, turning his head to apologize to Matty for waking him up as well, when he realized he was alone. He reached for the bedside table, and turned on the lamp, finding the sheets on Matty’s side of the bed cold and unslept in. George sighed, forcing himself to sit up. It was so early in the morning that Matty hadn’t even come to bed yet. 

Turning off the alarm on his phone fully, lest it start blaring again, he pulled himself from the blankets and shuffled barefoot into the bathroom to brush his teeth. He hated the early flights out of Heathrow, even though he knew he would be happy when he landed in New York and it was still Friday morning, the rest of his day still in front of him. He yawned around his toothbrush, thankful he had the foresight to finish packing his bag the night before, along with laying out a pair of joggers and a long sleeved tee shirt to wear on the plane. He didn’t feel awake enough to be digging through their shared closet at the moment. With his luck he would have packed a pair of Matty’s trousers in his exhaustion and been shit out of luck.

He swiped some of Matty’s deodorant under his arms, his own already stowed in his carry on and pulled on the joggers and tee shirt. It was too early for coffee, even, he thought, running his fingers through his close cropped hair. It was too early to be alive. The prearranged car would be picking him up soon, he thought with a yawn, he would have preferred to take the tube, but the Elizabeth line wasn’t running at three thirty in the morning.

He dragged his bag out of the bedroom and sat it by the front door, double checking that he had his laptop charger in his backpack, and then set off in search of Matty. He was easy enough to find, George could hear the soft strum of an acoustic guitar coming from the music room, the cords cutting off abruptly when Matty either stopped to write something down, or sigh in frustration. He was playing quietly, as if he was worried about waking George up. George pushed the half open door open fully, and Mayhem lifted his head up in acknowledgement from where he lay on the couch, before resting it once again on the cushions. George smiled despite himself. Matty and Mayhem both knew that he wasn’t allowed on the furniture. Matty was sitting on the floor in front of the couch, his back to the door as if he was playing for Mayhem, a private show for his best boy. 

He looked soft and rumpled, George though, leaning against the door frame watching him. His curls were messy and sticking out in every direction as if he had been running his fingers through them. He was wearing old plaid pajama pants with a hole in the knee and one of George’s hoodies- it was so big on him that George knew when he stood it would come down to mid thigh. He hadn’t heard George open the door, too lost in thought, hunched over his guitar,  crumpled up pieces of paper surrounding him on the floor, an empty bottle of wine was by his left knee, the dirty glass next to it. There was a pile of paper towels a few feet away from where Matty was sitting and George was willing to bet that Matty had knocked over the glass at some point, and was trying to hide the evidence of the stained carpet. There were cigarette butts smoldering in the ashtray on the low coffee table, and a fresh one tucked behind Matty’s ear. 

Matty’s Macbook was open in front of him as he worked, the screen brightness turned down low. George had drilled it into his head that even if he doubted what he was working on, he needed to record it in case they wanted to pull from it later. He leaned over, writing something down in his notebook before turning back to the guitar in his lap. George swallowed a sigh, he hated to interrupt him, content to just watch him work, but he needed to say goodbye, the car would be there any minute. He hated that he was going to New York without him, but work was pulling them in opposite directions. Matty was needed for creative meetings in London, and George was being summoned to New York for a mystery project with Jack. 

“What are you working on?” he asked softly, not wanting to break the calm. Matty flinched anyway, turning his head with startled wide eyes, the stillness broken like a rock tossed into a pond shattering the surface tension, transverse waves moving away from the center focal point  as Matty blinked up at George as if he had gotten caught committing a crime red handed. 

“Did I wake you?” Matty asked, concern heavy in his exhausted voice. 

“I’m heading to the airport,” George said, swallowing a yawn of his own. 

Matty blinked, scrambling for his phone to see what time it was. He stared at the glowing numbers in disbelief. 

“Fuck,” he swore, “I didn’t realize it had gotten so late.” 

George chuckled, “Early you mean.” 

“Early,” Matty conceded, setting the guitar on the floor and standing up, he made his way over to George, wrapping his arms around his waist and resting his cheek against his chest. “Good morning then, I guess,” he said, standing up on his tiptoes to press his lips to George’s. 

George deepened the kiss, licking against the seam of Matty’s lips until he was granted access, tasting the red wine and cigarettes on Matty’s tongue. Home. Matty tasted like home. Matty pulled away, raising his hand to his mouth to try and stifle a yawn. He was sleepy and tipsy and George hated to leave him. 

“And goodnight to you,” said George, pressing a kiss to Matty’s forehead. Matty tightened his grip on George’s waist, not wanting to let him go even as George’s phone buzzed in his pocket against Matty’s stomach, with the notification of his car’s arrival. 

Matty yawned again. “Have a good flight,” he said, making no effort to detach himself from George’s person. 

“Sleep well,” George said, doing nothing to discourage him.

debut - richard he grew up on a goat farm there some yeehaw in him he’s rocking some cowboy boots and ripped jeans.

fearless - sam is definitely fearless he’s jumping headfirst into whatever he does. he’s wearing something shiny and gold.

speak now - jan maas knows the value of telling it how it is without holding back hes 100000% naming names. that man looks good in a purple ball gown.

red - Will Kitman still seems a bit young and naive but there’s something older and more knowing there - he’s seen some shit and he’s definitely an all too well stan. He’s always listening and observing and knows when something means trouble. I’m picturing him as Trouble Video edgy taylor - rocky vibes.

1989 - i just think isaac would love some shake it off you know? not saying he’s going full blank space video drag but im not not saying that either.

reputation - jamie is definitely reputation everyone thinks he’s this rough and tough hard man but secretly he’s just a soft and delicate love story waiting for someone to not care about his past and all the shit that people think of him. something black and slinky and sexy. definitely heels.

lover - lover is 100000% dani. He does the heart face paint and goes with anything pastel and fun.

folklore - colin originally i had colin as lover but i think there’s something quieter about colin that fits right in with the this is me trying and peace and hoax of folklore - something contemplative and reflective and different. He definitely has The Cardigan™️

evermore - bumbercatch you just know that man knows where to hide a body so it’ll never be found. The coat.

midnights - you know what i’m throwing a curve ball and giving this one to roy because i think roy is a man of few words but there’s a depth there and he’s the kind of person to stay awake at night think of the things in his life he could have changed - the self hatred but also the over the top confidence there’s definitely some roy kent in anti hero. I keep thinking about this and I really think Jamie would talk him into wearing something edgy and fun and a bit sparkly and sexy.

Of course they all go as a group. Big Team Bonding moment. Roy tries to get out of it by arguing that he’s a coach not a player but Jamie makes those dumb eyes and also is like come on you aren’t missing taylor you idiot.

Hello hello! I don't mind at all 🥰

Your question is delightfully vague and broad. I can give you some tips from what I've learned but I warn you that I've only been embroidering for a year, so I am by no means an expert. I have learned from some of the mistakes I've been making tho. Mostly. And if you have more experience, these might not be revelations.

First thing is having the right material. Heavier, thicker fabrics work better, especially if the pattern is large like with the tulip one I just did. I have done a thin t-shirt but the material puckered just enough to annoy me because it's hard to get a consistent stretch. So keep that in mind. You'll need a bigger needle as well. I think I used a size 8 for the tulips. Also, using the entire six strings of your thread is going to use it up unbelievably quickly but will make your work look fuller which I think is good for a shirt, but will depend on the pattern. I used two strings when I made my tiger shirt.

A mistake I made with the tulip shirt is that I drew the pattern as I went. Don't do that—design the whole pattern and get it on your fabric before you start to embroider. This (obviously!!) gives you a chance to tweak anything before you spend hours completing an entire third of the tulips and then realize there's not enough space for the stems and leaves. ( :/ )

In terms of what kind of stitch to use, I did satin stitch on the tulips. I would not do it again! It's a bad fill stitch for the project; between the shirt and the ever moving hoop, it was hard to maintain a consistent tension, which made the stitches uneven, and some were too loose. I recommend having a pattern that uses short stitches, as the final result will look neater and more intentional.

Some of the instagram reels I've seen show people drawing on their clothes without the hoops, then adding the hoop and embroidering. This is fine if the fabric doesn't have much stretch, like with denim and linen. But if it's a cotton shirt, put the hoop on first and then draw. Drawing first and then stretching your fabric is going to expand and/or distort the pattern.

Altho if you are using a cotton shirt, you can use a stabilizer (you can actually use a stabilizer for any fabric). The ones I have available to me are very thin, but they're water soluble and are great for dark fabrics that are hard to draw on. Just stick your pattern on that, and then put the hoop on with the stabilizer and shirt and you're good to go. Because they're water soluble they'll be easy to tear, so be careful about pulling too hard when you're adjusting your fabric. You can buy some stabilizers that have a sticky back, which would fix that problem.

Finally, I don't cover the back of the pattern/inside of the shirt with anything. Part of it is I don't now how or what fabric to use, another part is I haven't had a problem yet by leaving it alone. Just double-knot all your strings and keep the amount of jumping to a minimum and it'll be fine.

Also, wash your embroidered clothes inside out on the delicate cycle. I stick them in a laundry bag as an extra measure.

I've been looking for this Mericcup fanfic I read a while back for ages and I'm about to tear my hair out cause I can't find it and I forgot what it was titled (╥﹏╥)

The plot was basically that Hiccup somehow ends up in DunBroch? I forget how but he's kinda stranded and needs to get back to Berk but can't. Merida finds him but the two of them can't communicate because of the language barrier (Hiccup was speaking some variant of Old Nordic/Scandinavian from Merida's POV, and I think Merida was speaking Gaelic from Hiccup's? the fic was in english tho). The fic essentially has the two of them falling for each other as they each learn more about each other, until they both know enough to properly talk to each other. And at that point the two are smitten and decide to get married. The fic is mostly from Merida's POV, and there was this one scene that's stuck in my brain where Merida is sewing her honeymoon nightgown herself with her mom's help because it's a wedding tradition in her kingdom and asking what the point of all the little details are if no one is gonna see them and her mom says her husband is going to see them while Merida gets flustered.

The fic was really good but for the life of me I can't frickin' find it

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like
