2009 Italian GP

Ahhh it’s crashgate time! I touched on this when I wrote the recap for that race but let me take you back.

Singapore 2008. Alonso is fast in his Renault but 16th on the grid because of an engine problem in quali. At the beginning of the race, he’s carrying little fuel because the team hoped for a Safety Car, which did happen in the person of teammate Piquet who crashed right after Alonso refuelled, while nobody else had made their stop yet. So Alonso got the lead and won.

Fast forward to the 2009 summer break : Piquet gets sacked after the Hungarian GP. 4 days later, he goes to the FIA saying he crashed deliberately in Singapore, as ordered by his chief engineer and Flavio Briatore. Who both deny it, of course. Piquet says he did it to increase the chances the team would keep him. Alonso claims he didn’t know anything about that.

So the FIA will meet to review the evidence but Piquet’s sworn statement has leaked already. Renault has started legal proceedings against him for false allegations and trying to blackmail them. Lol. So Jake says he talked to Mosley about it who emphasised the importance of the integrity of Formula 1. First of all, Mosley was found engaging in s*domasochists acts with pr*stitutes in n*zi uniforms last season, and second of all, look where we’re at with the integrity in 2022. Bullshit. Anyway.

Quali report : Fisichella is driving for Ferrari now? He’s 14th while he was on pole in his Force India last GP lol. Liuzzi is replacing him in his former team then, and is 7th on the grid. Ironic af. Sutil is 2nd btw. Oh. Both BMW’s engines blew up within 2 minutes of each other and they were both new and had the same mileage and seem to have had the same failure. That’s not good. Webber is 10th, Barrichello 5th, Jenson 6th, Raikkonen 3rd, Kovalainen 4th. AND LEWIS IS ON POLE! He says the best strategy here is a one-stop one but it depends on the fuel load, how you manage the tyres etc.

Look how calm and confident this man looks, it’s heartwarming.

However he is NOT on a one-stop strategy, unlike all the others including Kovalainen, which makes me nervous because why. Also fun fact : 6 out of the 7 first cars on the grid have a Mercedes engine.

And they’re racing!

Mmmh, that wasn’t a great start for Lewis, he almost got overtaken even though he has KERS? It’s okay after the first corner though. Webber is beached and Jenson overtook Kovalainen. The Force Indias are so quick in the straights it looks unreal. Heikki is really struggling even though people thought he had the best chances of winning. Lewis is setting fastest lap after fastest lap.

He pits for a first time on lap 14, and is back out in 5th. It was earlier than projected. The tyres were badly grained. He’s now on hard tyres though so maybe it’ll be better. There’s a bunch of DNFs too : Webber, Alguersuari, Kubica, Rosberg... Now Liuzzi is also out. Meanwhile McLaren tells Lewis he has to go faster to beat the Brawns.

We’re halfway through, the one-stoppers are pitting. Barrichello first, from the lead. Lewis is in front now, by 5 seconds, which isn’t much given he has to make a second stop. Yeah I don’t think this is gonna work out.

He stops with 19 laps to go, yeah, he’s behind. That strategy was a bad idea. He’s 5th. It’s all about the racing now, then.

15 laps to go, Barrichello - Button - Lewis. He’s only 2.4 seconds behind Jenson. 1.8 seconds. 8 laps to go. Come on. 5 laps to go. NO HE SPUN ON THE LAST LAAAAAP WHYYYY. Safety Car. He’s done.

It’s the end of the race.

Barrichello wins from teammate Jenson, Raikkonen in a surprise P3. Lewis 12th.

Asked about the shunt, he says he’s built like a rock so he’s all good.

“Were you pushing hard? It looks like you were pushing hard.” He answers : “every lap I was pushing like qualifying laps”.

He says they didn’t have the pace, but hum... He did though. He was making fastest laps, remember? And he was on pole. The strategy was shit and then he spun while trying to make up for it, is what happened.

He says he’s sorry to the team and he did all he could. He also apologies to his fans and sends love to his family. The journalist asks how the progress with the car is going now. He says the car is much better and it was still good today, just not good enough. But they have upgrades coming and hopefully it’ll give them an edge for the end of the season. “Maybe I won’t have to push 130%, maybe I can push 110%.”

10 Floors

A/n: I’ll be posting the requests soon but I wanted to post a Series idea I had about a Office AU of Fire Force. You could also find this Story on Wattpad.

Episode 1:Being Assigned.

The repeating stepping sounds slowly started to get on your nerves. Some other noises were more annoying but the stepping sounds were worse. You slowly started to walk towards the building in front of you.  The amount of times you wanted to turn back and say screw it were to many. You were quite scared because of your first day of  work at the most popular office building in Tokyo.

"Y/n! Wait for us!"

You could hear running foot steps coming towards coming you so you quickly turned around. 3 males and 1 young female, the sight of seeing the 4 of them made you smile. They slowly ran towards you and bowed.

"Y/n! We didn't expect for you to actually come. I thought you said you were going to turn the offer down?" One of the males said.

"I changed my mind... I didn't want to be the only one that didn't take this Job opportunity." You brushed the pieces of hair that were currently blocking your way of sight.  

"Are you sure your ready though? After the one accident, I really didn't think you would be able to come back in public." The female said.

You let out a tiny laugh before giving them all a tiny smile. "To be honest I thought the same but I needed to face my fears and come out... Tamaki, Ogun ,Arthur and Shinra...we should head in now, we'll be late on our first day if we don't hurry up." You quickly turned around and made your way inside the building. The four of them quickly walked in after you.

"Do you think we'll all be assigned the same floor?'' Tamaki said.

"Shh...We're in the lobby now." You all said to Tamaki.

Sooner or Later, you all took a seat in the lobby. Sense you would probaly be waiting for a little while, you decided to go over the number of floors you could be assigned to.

The 10th floor...the floor where the main 8 leaders of the office would meet everyday. You could always be sent to this floor to work as a desk lady but that probaly wouldn't happen.

The 9th floor aka the one floor that you apparently don't want to be sent too... rumor is this floor hasn't really revealed their purpose yet but you were guessing that you would just serve as a normal office worker on that floor.

The 8th floor... you weren't even going to think about that floor because you knew you had 0 chances about getting on that floor. The floor that belonged to the "pronationalists."

The 7th floor...the floor that handled all of the health problems of Tokyo. You were probaly going to be sent here.

As you were thinking about the remaining floors, you friends were being called to the 10th floor to hear which floors they would be assigned to.

The 6th floor...floor that handles all of the research of Tokyo. Maybe you would be sent here?

The 5th floor... floor that handled all of the citizen issues. Ogun would probaly be best suited for this floor.

The 4th floor...actually no one is allowed to even go on this floor anymore so it isn't a option.

The 3rd floor... handles all of the militaries issues. Maybe this could be a option?

The 2nd floor... was in charge of anything religious. This could be a possible option but you kind of didn't want to assign their for personal reasons.

The first floor was basically the lobby and main entrance.

"Y/n! We were assigned our floors!" The 4 of your friends said as you were completely zoning out. You blinked a couple of times before rubbing your eyes. Hearing about what they said made you smile. "What floors did you 4 get assigned to?"

"Second Floor!" Tamaki said.

"Fourth floor like I was hoping to get." Ogun said

"We both got the 8th." Arthur and Shinra said at the same time.

You smiled and slowly got up. "That's great to hear, I'm curious about which floor I'll get."

Ogun blinked a little bit. "Which reminds me, they told us to tell you to come to the 10th floor after us so you might want to hurry up!"

You gave a tiny bow before running off to the elevator and muttering you'll be right back. Once you reached the elevator you stepped inside. When the door was about to close, a male quickly stepped in and started to look at you. He clicked the button to the 10th floor and went back to staring. You gulped, maybe you two were both trainees?

"Hello Sir!" You gave a tiny bow before going back to looking at the male in front of you.

"So you're the new girl that's going to be replacing the old assistant? Tch, good luck with that."

"Replacing? Maybe your talking to the wrong person-." You let out a nervous laugh before you were suddenly pinned to the wall. The male in front you had eyes that started to look like they were glowing but in reality they weren't. His stare continued to pierce your thoughts. He leaned in and whispered something.

"I'll make sure to make this absolute hell for you...I am Shinmon Benimaru after all." He released the grip on your hands. You quickly backed away to one of the corners in the Elevator. "Shinmon Benimaru? I'm guessing your the leader of the 8th floor?" He nodded. "Yes...which makes me one of your many higher ups." He watched the expression on your face slowly turn scared.

You have arrived on the 10th Floor

After hearing what the Elevator said you quickly made your way out and started to walk towards the conference room. As you expected, Benimaru started to follow you. He reached the conference room first and opened the door for the both of you. He gave you a tiny smile. You gulped and stepped in. The sight of the 8 leaders sitting around a table in front of you was kind of scary. Benimaru went to the 7th chair and sat down.

Whispers could be heard.

"She's the new assistant?"

"More Useless Gravel?"

"Hibana Shush."

"Everyone Shut up!"

You gave a nervous smile before bowing. "My name is Y/n L/n, I look to working with all of you." They all smiled at the sentence. Benimaru continued to look at you so you started to look towards the ground.

"Do you know why you're here?" The man in the 4th chair said.

You quickly shook your head.

"You're here because we picked you for something." The man in the 1st chair said.

"Sir, do you mind me asking about what you picked me for?" You turned your head towards the male in the 1st chair.  

"We all picked you to become the new Leaders assistant.'' Benimaru said.

Leaders Assistant?! You thought that you would just be assigned an regular job on a normal floor!

"Which means you'll be helping the 8 of us whenever we need you." The male in the second chair said.

You nodded, fear started to flow through your thoughts. Helping all 8 of them? That seemed like a major work load. "We'll be giving you a buzzer with 10 numbers so you know which floor to report to." The Female in the 5th chair said. "Ara Ara, let Princess Hibana have the first honor of giving you your first assignment." All supervisors got up from their chairs. "Clean this whole room, Gravel!" Hibana said with a high pitched voice. You bowed and nodded your head.

All Supervisors left the room, before Benimaru left he gave you a tiny smirk before walking out. The relief of them all leaving made you sigh. You would make sure to do a amazing job while cleaning sense this was your first assignment.

"Such a great First Day..."

you sat inside of your and donghyucks shared house. after being forced to marry him you were also forced of living with him now. which meant you weren't allowed to go out, meet friends or do anything that could bring you fun. the only thing you were allowed to do was staying at home; safe.

donghyuck was never home. qnd even if he was home he didn't look nor did he ever talk to you. he was always busy with his mafia gang and his members, going around causing trouble, killing people and stealing their money. you didn't like what he did; you hated it. but there wasn't anything you could do about it right? in the end, you were still married to him, right?

one evening you were home alone again. you were bored as hell and decided it would be the best idea to watch a movie, not like you didn't that all day every day anyway. but this time it was different. you normally would fall asleep while the 3rd or 4th movie was still playing but when you stood up to put the 2nd movie in you heard a gun being loaded behind you. you froze right where you stood; not daring to turn around. you actually hoped it was just donghyuck playing a rather unfunny prank on you but at the same time, you questioned why he would do such a thing? he didn't care about you anyway, you were useless to him.

“raise your hand and slowly turn around!”, the gunned man ordered.

“now!”

you slowly raised your shaking hand up in the air where he could see them and turned around on your heels to face the man with the gun standing a meter away from you; his gun pointing directly to your head. you couldn't identify the man as he was wearing a black ski mask over his head. and as you were trying to figure out why he was here and what he wanted from you you felt two men grabbing your arms from behind you; putting some cuffs on your hands. shortly after you felt your head being hit by something as hard as a rock. the last thing you saw was donghyuck entering the room; directly pulling his gun. just then everything around you turned a dark pitch of black.

when you woke up you saw yourself surrounded by a big group of boys; all of them hovering over your body that was lying on a hospital bed. but once you looked around you realized you weren't in a hospital. the room looked like an empty and old building without owners. spider webs were on the ceiling and dust flew around like the butterflies you always had in your stomach when you would see you crush in school back when you were younger. snapping out of your daydreams you noticed all of the boys still looking at you before you felt a pair of arms wrapping themselves around your waist from behind. 

surprised you turned around; only to meet donghyucks eyes. and even without really knowing him you could tell he was on the verge of tears.

“what’s wrong donghyuck?”, you softly asked; placing your hand on his.

while the other boys made their ways to leave the room donghyuck slowly untangled his arms from your waist,

“nothing.”, he coldly stated.

“listen, i know we never really talk because i am a burden to you but i can see that something is wrong. besides, why would you hug me if everything was okay? i mean you don't like me anyway. so just tell me already.”, you boldly said while looking him deep in his with tears filled eyes. you were a little surprised about what you just said; after all, you were usually too afraid to even look at him at home.

“no, that's not it y/n... i do like you and i couldn't be happier that i got to marry such a gorgeous and kind girl like you...”, he said while the tears that welled in his eyes before finally made their ways down his cheeks; leaving wet stains on them.

you needed to be honest, your heart ached a little when you heard his confession but at the same time, it confused you so much. why didn't he just talk to you from the beginning, why did he always act so cold towards you?

“why didn’t you talk to me hyuck?”, you questioned; carefully placing your hand on his cheek in an attempt to comfort him a little.

“i was scared...”

he placed his hand on top of yours, finally looking up so his eyes could meet yours.

“i was scared of caring too much for you... i always go around killing people and its nothing special. those bastards deserve to die. but i could never forgive myself if something really bad happened to you.”, he shyly confessed.

“i was scared of being hurt when i lose you y/n”

his eyes meet yours. you liked him too, from the first time you saw him you were in awe. he was so handsome and cool at the same time. and every time he walked past you without even glancing at you your heart broke a little.

“i like you too donghyuck...”, you started.

“i was just scared of bothering you with my presence, but i always hoped that one day you will talk to me.”

“i guess that day is today.”, he said before connecting his soft plump lips to yours. for a moment you felt like everything around you two stopped and time stood still for a moment. everything was changing now, you really thought you and your husband could live a peaceful life with each other. cuddling, kissing and doing all that couple stuff you always were jealous of when watching movies. you really thought everything would take a turn for the better...

And we’re post summer break!

Quali report : it was wet. Petrov spun, 23rd. Loads of traffic and spinning. Timo Glock is 20th. Rosberg gets a 5-place grid penalty for gearbox change : 14th. Schumacher gets a 10-place grid penalty for his move on Barrichello in the last GP : 21st (he’d almost put him in the wall). Alonso 10th. Massa 6th. Seb 4th. Both Lewis and Jenson IMPROVED their times in the wet, they're 2nd and 5th. Kubica is 3rd. Webber is on pole.

Oh hell! Webber had a terrible start! It's Lewis leading the others into turn one followed by Kubica, Jenson, and Seb, all wheel to wheel. They fall in line : Lewis, Kubica, Jenson. But Kubica is attacking Lewis while he himself is under Jenson’s attack. A little bit later Jenson is through! Alonso pitted for inters already. Webber is trying to climb back, he's now in 5th behind Seb. There's a Safety Car?

No one in the lead is pitting, surprisingly... It wasn't out for long. I guess there was some debris or whatever. And here we go again, it’s lap 4. Jenson is racing Lewis!

Ah yeah there was a crash. Barrichello locked up and crashed into Alonso. So Barrichello is out, and it was his 300th start, poor man.

But Lewis is faster than everybody else.

Oh what the fuck. Seb lost it and collided with Jenson in such a weird way!

They crashed just on the other side of the pitlane entry so Seb crosses the track to go in. But there was bunch of steam coming off of Jenson’s car and I doubt he'll be able to go on. Seb is back out. Webber is now 3rd. Where is Jenson? Yeah he's out. Penalty? Yeah, drive-through.

Sun is shining. Webber pits on lap 23. Lewis does the same on lap 25, very fast stop, he's still in the lead! Seb has a puncture and he's far from the pits going super slow after contact with Liuzzi.

Then it starts to rain.

They have to stay out as long as they can. Not change for inters too early. NO LEWIS HAS GONE OFF. He's back on track and still in the lead but everybody is pitting now. Oh shit. He pits. Kubica pits from 2nd, but he stopped too far and all the mechanics had to move so he lost a bit of time. Webber is through! So Kubica lost his second place! Lewis is still in the lead. Still 8 laps to go...

Alonso has spun on the inters and he's stuck on the track, leaving his car. That's gonna be a Safety Car. Yep. Safety Car in... 3 LAPS to go.. Trulli just went off! Managed to join back in.

And it's the end of the race!

Lewis wins! Webber P2, Kubica P3.

Seriously. In 2008 I used to write I didn't get how Lewis got the WDC that year because he wasn't having such a good season. In 2010 it’s the opposite! I feel like he's having a great one, how didn't he win... What even happened?

Lewis says it was a great weekend, tough race, tricky conditions so he was losing temperature in the tyres and he went wide in turn 8. The team did a remarkable job this weekend, he's proud of them and so happy he's up there. When it's started raining it's a difficult call to come in at the right time, probably his best pitstop this year though. He hoped the Safety Car would stay out longer at the end so Webber wouldn’t catch him, but everything went well.
