We know I'm going to ask for Hawks 😂
Rise of the Monarch https://open.spotify.com/track/4yModqqawKGib2poAkgk8g
Can't wait to see the vibe you pick for it.
Part of why I adore doing these is also getting new song recs hahaha love the hero turned villain vibe of this and after everything Hori has put our husband through Hawks deserves a little anti-hero arc
I don’t typically write stuff like this but listening to the song honestly reminded me so much of the moment where Hawks had to kill Twice after being backed into the corner and just the aesthetics of that setting where Hawks was very much drawn the way villains typically are in manga and was made to seem so terrifying and really was the villain to Twice so have a deep dive into that scene and the fallout after:
TW canonical minor character death
Keigo didn’t want it to come to this.
He tried to reach out to Bubaigawara. Tried to reason with him. Tried to show him that there can be a life for him outside of all of this. Outside of the League of Villains. A possibility for a support system that doesn’t come with a side of mass murder and terrorism.
But now Hawks is running out of options. He is burned, beaten, and cornered in a fight he knows he has little chance of winning. Far more lives are on the line that just his, Dabi’s, and Bubaigawara’s. Hundreds, if not thousands, if not even more innocent lives are at stake if Twice enters the main battle.
Keigo doesn’t regret trying to reason with the other man first. Not for a moment. It may have gotten him into the situation he is now but he knows in his heart it was right. But that was then. This is now. Twice and Dabi have forced his hand and he will not let good people die to save one man.
Hawks sinks his feather blades into Twice’s back and while Keigo’s heart breaks for Bubaigawara, he does not regret that either.
He is burned, he is beaten, he loses the fight.
He wakes up in the hospital and his wings are gone, his past dredged up for the world to see, and his actions presented as murderous and cruel for all of Japan to judge.
But like a phoenix he rises from the ashes. His work is not done, not in the slightest. Dabi may have won the battle but the war is far from over, and you can bet he won’t be sitting on the sidelines while it rages on.
Dabi has not seen the last of him. Perhaps all of Japan will call him a villain for what he’s done. It matters not. Hawks knows what he has to do. He knows what his role is on this chessboard. If he has to play the villainous hero fighting heroic villains to save Japan, than so be it.
Wings or no, he’s the number two hero. And he’ll be damned if he lets anyone else die on his watch
#I can’t tell if I captured enough of the song’s vibe considering it’s more of a jilted lover revenge song#and I did *flails in this post’s general direction* this with it#but I hope you like it <3#and that it’s at least interesting!!!#ended up with very character study vibes#hhrequests#hawks bnha#keigo takami#hawks character study#keigo takami character study

“This is a time of mourning for all Autobots. The Decepticons, in their endless cruelty, have snuffed out one of the brightest Autobot sparks in generations.”
I've been absolutely, totally, inexorably captured by @glyphwrites ' fic Lion's Den. The characters development, the world building, the incredible detailing and attention put in Decepticon culture, the super slow burn of two (2) gay robots... My hand itched and I absolutely needed to draw some scenes from it. This one is one of my fav, but there are at least two more I hope to be able to draw hgfdsafd -The intro of this song is what I imagined playing in the background, found it fitting for the situation with the vibes and text❤️ What happened here I cannot say, make yourself a gift and go read it!

Update: This post has now been updated into a word-for-word transcript.
If you would like to listen to the Q&A for yourself in video format, or listen to it again, Ghil Dirthalen recorded it and has now uploaded a video of it here. This blog post is linked in the description under the video. ( ˶´ ᵕ `˶ )
Corinne Busche, John Epler, Matt Rhodes and Community Manager Katey were the devs that were there.
----
Katey: Hello!
John: Hello.
Katey: Beautiful, your mic sounds beautiful. How's everybody doing?
John: Excellent. I, just as a headsup, I have some folks doing some service, in the next room so, if I, if you hear background noise, that's what that is.
Katey: No worries at all. Well I hope that everybody who's been waiting in here is really excited, because I'm super excited. I'm Katey. I'm the Community Manager. If you don't already know, you can usually see my name at the top of this Discord server. But I'm joined here with some awesome guests that I'll let introduce themselves. Let's start with Corinne.
Corinne: Can you hear me okay?
John: Yep.
Katey: Yep, we can hear you beautifully.
Corinne: Great, perfect. I'm Corinne Busche, Game Director of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
John: Awesome. I'm John Epler, Creative Director of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Corinne: John!
John: Hello.
Katey: And then we've also got Matt Rhodes, who may be struggling to find the unmute button which is at the bottom left.
Corinne: Our, our resident artist-poet, Matt Rhodes.
Katey: I could unmute him, actually, I don't know if I can unmute him, but if he needs help, he can message me on the side.
John: The joys of being a giant nerd is I spend a lot of time on Discord anyway, so.
Corinne: Well there you go, right?
Katey: Fair enough. Alright, well, we have a ton of questions to answer. We probably won't be able to get to all of them today. You all have sent in so many really really great answers, sorry, questions for us to answer. And if we don't get to them today, we're hoping to be able to do things like this in the future. So without further ado, I'll get started. First question's a bit of a soft ball, I feel. If you could belong to any of the main factions shown in the game, which would you choose?
Corinne: I mean, listen Katey, you say softball, but like, this is hard! I’m gonna cheat, and I’m gonna give you two. So for fashion, the Antivan Crows, all day long. Their threads, you’re gonna love it. For vibes, though, like the ones that capture my vibe, Mourn Watch. Gimme those necromancers.
John: Those are good answers. I have, I have one for fashion, and also for, just general faction I’d like to be a part of. Veil Jumpers. Who doesn’t like a nice walk in the forest, y’know? Even if that forest is filled with horrifying monsters and terrifying anomalies, but yeah.
Katey: I love that. I know that Matt has a few technical issues – oh, he’s unmuted. There we go. Or maybe not. That’s okay, I think we can move on.
John: The Fade has taken Matt.
Corinne: That’s right, that’s right.
Katey: Yes. One quick thing, if you check your settings, the cog-wheel in the bottom left, make sure that your voice, like, your audio is all good. If you’re still hearing the music, feel free to maybe, force-quit Discord and rejoin by just joining the stage directly. And mute the music before you come in. Okay. I can move on to the next question for now. I’ve seen, so this question was from Acra. I’ve seen a lot of talk about only having two companions in your party instead of three for this game. What is the reasoning behind this and will we still get the same companion conversations and banter as seen in the previous Dragon Age games?
Corinne: Ooh, this is such a good question. Thankyou, whoever submitted this one. Yeah, I’ll guess I’ll start and then I’ll turn it over to John Epler. So, first of all, as you saw in the gameplay reveal, this is a much more intimate experience. We’ve pulled the camera in. For those that aren’t aware, the reason why is we want you to feel like you actually are in this world, right? Like, you’re walking these city streets of Minrathous, you’re looking up, seeing the buildings all around you, you’re a part of this place. So it’s much more intimate, and we believe as the narrative unfolds this creates a lot more immersion. Now, how that relates to companions is in doing this, we went back and forth on it a lot, but we actually found, with this perspective, having two companions, really allows them more visibility and presence. We’ve talked about the incredible depth and focus we’ve put on fleshing out these companions, they’re very fully-realized. So here, you really get to see them more clearly, you get to see them shine. When you see Lace Harding jump into the air and unleash a volley of arrows, you can only really get that because of that more intimate view. So I love the spotlight that’s been put on them. But, I think, in addition to the banter, one of the things that people are wondering about is, okay, but what about gameplay? So again, this has come about from our testing, working with the internal team, also our lovely Council of players. We just found that when you’re playing in the combat system, when you’re planning your strategies, two really felt like the right number to manage. So keep in mind, Rook has a lot of different types of actions, Abilities, individual attacks that are more fully fleshed-out than ever before. Timing and positioning matter a lot. So this really felt like the right balance to have. The number of inputs and actions we’re asking you as a player to take, including directing your companions, is higher than ever before. And I will also say, I engage with the companions, like I actively control what they’re doing more than I ever have before in any of the other three games. But John, I’ll toss it over to you for the banter. That’s kind of like the, we got a two-for-one there.
John: Yeah, yeah.
Corinne: I think that’s a, a great question.
John: So - it’s a great question, yeah. I mean honestly, I don’t think you could actually stop the writers from writing banter. I will say for myself, it’s, it’s one of the more light but fun things to do. You get to write little stories, little arcs between different characters. And I mean, The Veilguard is no different. Banter is still absolutely core part of it. You know, we’ve got global banter, you know, the general stuff that you get in all spaces, as well as mission-specific stuff. But, yeah, it’s definitely still a big thing. I think it’s, if anything it’s the most we’ve, we’ve ever done for pairings of companions. Beyond that we’ve also made sure, and I mean I’ve been on Dragon Age for a while, and I know there’s been issues, you know, things like, okay, well I don’t wanna miss this banter. So we’ve even added stuff like some interruptible and resumable banter as well, just to make sure that, because again, it’s a core part of the experience. Everyone loves hearing these companions talk to each other, everyone loves hearing these little stories and relationships develop over the course of the game and, as mentioned before, companions are the heart of this experience and banter is a big part of that, so, you still have it, it’s, if anything, like I said, you could not stop the writers from doing it even if we tried, so.
Corinne: That’s right, that’s right. Well, John, you know, listening to you speak, one thing that comes to mind, maybe people are wondering, with two companions in the field do I get less interaction between, that, like do I get to see my companions interacting in a broader group more often.
John: Oh -
Corinne: And, the way you’ll gather them around the kitchen table, there’s just so many of those moments where they’re all interacting with each other.
John: Well, I think –
Corinne: Those are some of my favorite parts.
John: Yeah, and I think, yeah, and actually that’s a, a good call, because I think the other side of it is, we’re not talking too much about your home or anything, but, we also want to make sure that they feel like they have a relationships and a life outside of just, the times you take a certain pair of companions out on the field. So we made sure that, they have those interactions there as well.
Katey: Love that. Let’s see. Um, Matt, are we, are we all set, are we good? Yes? No? Okay. I can continue and we can come back to some of your questions. Alright. So that, I loved the answers to those. How customizable is the backstory of Rook? Will we get to determine their past in the Character Creator? And that was asked by Briar.
John: Yeah, so. Absolutely. So, one of, each, Rook has six different backgrounds that you can choose from. Each of them is tied to one of the major factions in The Veilguard and each one sets out who Rook was before they recruited, were recruited by Varric, and. Well that sets out the broad events. As you go through the game, as you’re gonna have conversations, either with members of your faction, other characters, you can define, not just what those events were, but what they meant to you, what was your motivation, what was the kind of person you are as you build up Rook, because again, we wanna make sure that roleplaying is at the heart of this experience. And taking Rook, giving them, again, giving them background to ground them in the world but then letting you decide what that means and what that says about you is also a big part of it, so. And again, there are six different factions in this game, two which, anyone who’s played Dragon Age for a while will remember. You’ve got the Grey Wardens. You’ve got the Antivan Crows. We also have, in addition to that, we have four new ones, because we’re in northern Thedas. We have the Veil Jumpers. We have the Mourn Watch. We have the Shadow Dragons, and we have the Lords of Fortune, so. Again, a lot of different options, a lot of different background, and a lot of opportunities to really define what your, who your Rook was, and who they are now, so.
Katey: Amazing. Will crafting return? If yes, has it been improved over the system in Inquisition? Asked by Some Dude.
Matt: Testing.
Katey: Oh hey Matt!
Corinne: “Some Dude”, is that, I’m gonna assume “Some Dude” is a username. Great question.
Katey: Yes.
Corinne: Welcome Matt, the lovely Matt Rhodes.
Matt: Testing, testing.
Corinne: Welcome, welcome, hello. Alright, so, will crafting return? You can absolutely improve and customize your gear, yes, that is a big part of RPG progression, so yes you can improve and customize it. I will say, though, it’s different this time around, and it does get into spoiler territory, so I, I’m gonna be a little bit cagey about it, but there might be a mysterious entity that assists you with that that’ll be an important part of the narrative.
Katey: So mysterious.
Corinne: Oooh!
Katey: Matt, I’m gonna actually go back to our first question so that you can answer, so everyone knows.
Matt: Thank you.
Katey: What faction, what faction you would choose if you could choose one for yourself?
Matt: Absolutely, oh, for me it’s definitely the Lords of Fortune. I’ve had a chance to try out a bunch of them, but I think I’ve finally settled on them. And it’s largely just because pirate-barbarian is just such a great combination of elements, so. Treasure-hunting plus beaches and palm trees and all that stuff, it’s a, it’s a really good mix, so that’s kinda my default.
Katey: I think I’m with you there, for sure. How about this one - this one was definitely asked probably amongst the most in Discord. Axolotl asks, can we kiss or romance Manfred the skeleton?
Matt: Uh, I, I would say, not that skeleton, but we’re not saying no skeletons.
Katey: I love that answer.
Corinne: This is my favorite answer so far.
Katey: Alright, so I’m gonna get back on track here. Alright. What, what were some of the development considerations that you had to take into account to ensure that this new game flows and functions with prior games, and Dragon Age Keep, if Keep is being utilized?
Corinne: Ooh, that’s a good one too. So, first of all, I would, I would point everyone to, we did an interview with IGN that goes into some of the details there, so, like, if you want a deeper dive on it, check out that article. But just to summarize, we have taken a different approach on how you import your decisions this time around. It’s now actually been fully-integrated into the Character Creator, and kinda serves a dual purpose, to be honest. I, I playfully, it’s not called this in-game, but I playfully think of it as ‘Last Time On Dragon Age’.
Katey: I love that.
Corinne: Right? Now, when I talk about its dual purpose, it’s been ten years since the last Dragon Age game released, so it serves as a refresher on critical events as well as allowing you to re-make those decisions that are critical to you. The thing I love about it is, it’s very highly visual, it uses the familiar tarot card aesthetic, so it’s actually really visual and playful experience as you go through it. It is very much important to us that it’s built into the client, though. You can play this game entirely offline. No connection. You don’t have to link to your EA accounts, like that’s been a really big request. So, the refresher plus make those decisions in-client, I think we’re all pretty happy about that. I don’t wanna spoil anything by revealing what decisions you can import, like, look, y’all don’t want the spoilers, but I will say, it’s been a really interesting creative intersection for us, because on the one hand, this is a whole new adventure. You’re in northern Thedas, these locations that you’ve literally never been to before. So that affects some of what will matter and what we’re not using this time around, as far as decisions. But obviously there’s some very, very clear connections to existing characters. It’s no secret that the Inquisitor, our dear Inky, is gonna show up, so, that’s, that’s a factor.
Katey: Peachy asks, will this next game be an open-world game, or is it just contained to Tevinter?
John: Yeah, that’s a great question. So, you are in northern Thedas, but the game only begins in Minrathous, it doesn’t stay there. I’m, I think one of the most exciting things for me, honestly, and again, to Corinne’s earlier point about spoilers, I don’t wanna get into too much spoiler detail, but getting to go to, and work with the art team, work with the narrative, work with the design team to build out these locations that we’ve talked about. Places that characters have referred to as where they’ve come from, places that characters, obviously, in previous games, have hailed from, has been absolutely exciting. So, it’s, you do start in Tevinter, you do start in Minrathous, but again, that’s not the entire game by any stretch. So yeah.
Corinne: Yeah, and the first half of it is, is it an open-world game? We’ve gone back to what we believe delivers the best, most curated –
John: Mhm.
Corinne: - intense narratives. So, this is a hand-crafted experience, it’s mission-based. Now, these locations can open up. You can go back, solve mysteries, do some really great side-content. Not fetch-quests, not grind-quests, some really great side content.
John: Mhm.
Corinne: But, I wanna be clear. It’s, it’s a really curated, hand-crafted experience.
John: And just to, just to bounce off of that very quickly. The most important thing for us, to what Corinne was saying about hand-crafted, obviously we’ve talked about how, you know, narrative, story, characters, are the most, are critical to us, and this has allowed us to build these experiences in a way that emphasize that, extremely long, while still, again, tying into the story threads and the story beats, so.
Katey: Awesome. TastefulToxel wants to know - will the companions have unique specializations like Dragon Age II, or will it be the same ones we will have access to as the player in like DA: Origins, or Inquisition?
Corinne: Oh, cool. Hey TastefulToxel. Yeah, so, cool question. I think the best way for me to describe this is that, yes, our companions will have Abilities that are truly unique to them. But also, the companions do fall into the archetypes of mage, rogue, and warrior. Like, for instance, you might be surprised to hear, because she has a bow, but Bellara is, in fact, a mage, and I, I love that. So, some of the Abilities, the bulk of the Abilities of the companions are based on their own unique personality. Like, Neve is the only mage that is an Ice Mage, so you get distinct Abilities for her. But, because she’s a mage, she does have access to Abilities that all the mages share, like Time Slow. So we really like the balance there. It’s like a good mix of representing their archetype, their class, and also their distinct specialization or personality, whatever you wanna call it.
John: Yeah, actually, I would actually say the word ‘personality’ is a really great one because that’s, again, each of these characters exists, each of these characters have a history, have a story of how they became who they were, and part of that was finding that intersection between narrative and gameplay, and making sure that, again, we, we serve the needs of gameplay but also allow these characters to breathe and exist as their own people, not just in conversation, but out of conversations, as well.
Corinne: I would also say as part of that core mage kit, healing spells are there, so any of your mages, you wanna make ‘em a healer, do that.
Katey: Lunasoul Darkmoon asks, will The Veilguard have tactical combat still?
Corinne: Ooh, such a good one, such a good one. Okay. Yes! Combat gets quite tactical, like, obviously this is an evolution of the combat system, and I talked about immersion, wanting you, to put you in the world, like you’re actually living and existing in it, but it is very tactical. And, I will say, we have a robust difficulty system. The tactics are increasingly important the higher difficulty level you go. So like, look, if you’re showing up for a highly tactical experience, I would crank that difficulty level in particular. But I wanna make clear, I’m, super, I wanna make sure I’m super clear in my answer. You saw the gameplay reveal. Our pause-time tactical mode is not overhead. It stays close to Rook. It does allow you to cycle between targets, both in and out of combat, there’s a reason for that. As the game progresses, and you didn’t see this in that opening hour of the game, but it’ll display strategic information on the enemies, so like, what are their vulnerabilities, what are their elemental weaknesses, their enhancements, what are they resistant to? So your type of Abilities, learning into elemental gameplay, matters a lot. I’d also say, this is a long answer, it’s such a good question – tactical decision-making also takes the form, I would say this is front and center, of coordinating your Ability usage between Rook and your companions to create synergies, or really devastating – we call them – detonation combos. So, let me give you a couple of examples, because it can be a little hard to visualize, so hopefully this helps. So one of the tactics that I personally enjoy in my own builds, I just recently played as a Veil Ranger, I love it, it’s one of my favorites. If I’m fighting Fade-touched enemies in Arlathan, I like to use Bellara’s Galvanized Tear to pull enemies together, it’s like a gravity well. You then Slow Time with Neve and, Slow Time affects the world around you, but it does not affect you, so you clump them up, you Slow Time, and then with Rook, I come in and do, like a devastating AOE or damage over time spell or Ability, and it’s even better if it’s a lightning-based Ability, because the Fade-touched in Arlathan are vulnerable to that. So there’s so many layers of coordination and strategy and tactics. Now we did talk about the devastating, like, detonation combos, honestly, that’s probably one of my favorite features, because that’s when you’re really leaning into explicit teamwork between your companions and Rook, or, the companions together. So when I, when I build out my team and I’m going into a mission, I try to ensure that I have at least a couple of possible synergies, detonation combo synergies within my team. Might be between Harding and Neve, or it might be between Neve and me, or it might be both. So here, I would go into battle, I’d pause time, open the Ability Wheel, get information on the enemy, and the Wheel will actually tell me that there is a synergy combo, you might have seen a screenshot that says “combo available”. It will remind you of those synergies between companions. You can queue both of those Abilities up at the same time, go, close out of the pause-time menu, they’ll both execute, both Abilities will happen, then the detonation AOE happens, applies debuffs to all the enemies in a radius of it, it’s so satisfying, it’s so satisfying, I can’t wait for y’all to see it. But the interesting thing is that too is a tactical choice. I’m choosing to use my companions to do that, and that means, in that moment, I’m not using them to heal me, or to give me that defense bonus, or to knock an enemy off a ledge, so it’s about the opportunity cost. I, I could spend the rest of the session talking about this, I, apologies for being long-winded, but this is just one of my favorite parts of, of the game.
Katey: That was a great answer. Can you choose Rook’s pronouns? If yes, being, is being non-binary an option? And also, how detailed is Character Creation?
Corinne: Hell yeah you can select your pronouns! Absolutely. You can actually select both your pronouns and your gender, because those are related concepts, but they’re not actually the exact same thing, so. It’s really cool. Yeah, you can be non-binary. We have they/them, she/her, he/him. Yes, emphatic yes. How detailed is the Character Creator? Oh my goodness, y’all. Like. Very! I don’t wanna give away too much just yet, but it’s very, very deep. It has been revealed, it’s out there in a couple of articles, about the focus on hair, the focus on skin-tones that are done respectfully, full-body customization, hell yeah, we love to see it. But we’re, we’re gonna, we’re gonna come back, we’re gonna show you a lot more on Character Creator, but we wanna make sure we have the time and space to, to do that.
Katey: Will there be a Photo Mode in-game?
Corinne: So that is something we’re actively looking into. We know there’s a tonne of interest, so stay tuned on that one. But we are very much looking into it.
Matt: I can add to that, is a feature that is, that, we like, we like the idea of, and, and, it’s not just player-facing but internally, it’s a really helpful thing for us as we’re, as we’re building things out to have that so it’s, it’s, we’ll let ya know.
Corinne: Yes, yeah, absolutely. We, we are as geeked on that possibility as you all are.
Katey: A lot of people were asking about Abilities. This one is from Clemmy. Abilities, I don’t think I saw this answered yet, but are we going to be limited in how many Abilities we can pick from the Wheel?
Corinne: Ah! Yes, yes, yes. So, Ability Wheel does have a capacity. You have to choose which three Abilities you wanna bring for Rook, which three for one of your companions, and which three for another companion. And what I, what I like about this is there is, kind of, an emergent gameplay depending on who you and your companions are coming into the mission with. Now the reason for that is, it actually creates really interesting balance of strategizing, having to do that strategy about your kit, your combat kit, before the mission. And then the tactical decisions once you’re in the field in combat, deciding what to do. But, I do wanna clear one thing up, because, while there are three Ability slots for Rook, there’s so much more than that. Other actions that you can perform directly from the Wheel include, you’ll have an Ultimate Ability, associated with your class or your specialization, so there’s variance there. There’s a type of items that you’ll get that function like Abilities, they’re typically like buffs and enhancements in form of Runes. So you’ll control that for Rook and/or the team from the Wheel. You may have also seen that you can direct which targets your companions will focus on, but what you might not know is that a lot of the companion gear really synergizes with that directing your companions. When you issue those commands, that too will proc based on the gear they have equipped. Really interesting and strategic effects. They can be more Ability-like, more, like, procced effects, there’s just so much from the Wheel, that once you get in and see everything working together, becomes more and more apparent.
Katey: We have another question from TastefulToxel which is, will Fireball and Cone of Cold be back as skills, or as spells in Dragon Age: The Veilguard?
Corinne: Ohh, I love, all these combat questions, really good. So Fireball and Cone of Cold aren’t specifically back, however, their successors are. Frost Nova and Meteor. So these serve the exact same combat role and function as those other Abilities. I would also say, it gives ‘em quite the glow-up, so. Meteor in particular, like, so satisfying nuking a group of darkspawn with a well-placed Meteor, it’s really wonderful.
Katey: What accessibility features are available? I would love to know if there’s an arachnophobia mode. Will there be mod support?
Corinne: Oh my goodness, arachnophobia. I am wicked afraid of spiders too, my partner always laughs at me. I’m just terrified of them. That said, that’s one we’re going to save for a little bit closer to launch before we’ll go into full details about accessibility features. But I do wanna assure you, we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this topic so you can play the game in a way that really works for you. I’m, I’m excited to share that with you when the time is right.
Katey: So this one is from a username named Cookie. How long is the time-skip from Inquisition to The Veilguard? I know we’ll probably get more info on this, but I’m so curious.
John: Yeah, so, anyone who’s paid attention to Dragon Age, and I can say as somebody who’s been on Dragon Age since Origins, timelines are always a little iffy. They change, and they morph over development as we see how long events taking. But, for The Veilguard, we were actually pretty consistent from the start. It’s been about ten years since the events of Trespasser. As you may or may not have noticed, Varric’s become a little bit of a silver fox. I know, I’ve heard, seen, I’ve seen a lot of comments on that on social media, but, yeah, ten years. Solas’ ritual is taken time to set up and you’re kinda coming in at the end of that hunt, so.
Katey: Siddy is asking the hardest-hitting question which is, is Solas still bald?
Matt: Yeah. I mean, if you’ve watched the gameplay thing, we can all confirm, yes, Solas is still bald, Solas is still Solas. We’ve, we’ve, I really, I really like how Solas has turned out this time around. I will say, here’s a comment on this specific question that’s gonna sound like a non-sequitur, but, once you get a chance to play it a little bit more, maybe you’ll see it. In Thedas, ancient elves, they go bald when they’re like millennia old, so. Solas wasn’t always bald. So if you were to end up, end up seeing what Solas looked like in the past, things might be a little different. You’ll have –
John: - Now, now that said, I’m sure some of you are wondering what happened to Solas’ wig from Tevinter Nights. I’m sure he still has it somewhere, so.
Katey: He’s just taking care of it elsewhere.
John: He’s just taking care, it’s, it’s his most important possession.
Corinne: The Pride there, huh?
Katey: I have another one for Matt. This is, will we be able to, will we be able to change companions’ appearances and outfits, or are they fixed, similar to Dragon Age II?
Matt: Yeah we, Dragon Age II was, we loved how the followers turned out in that but it was, it was sad given, given our constraints that we had to keep them with just one, one basic outfit. So we really tried to make some space for them this time around. So they’re, they still have, kind’ve iconic color palettes and things like that, but they do have a wider range of appearances that you can, that you can find for them. Some, some are just cool, but then there are some that are tied directly to their, to their narrative and just kinda what’s happening in their life.
Katey: Another one for ya, which is, will we be seeing or visiting Kal-Sharok? It’s, and, Tyrant says that they’ve been obsessed with it forever.
Matt: Yeah, me too. I, I will say, what’s, what’s been really cool, so in previous games, we’ve kind’ve alluded to this before. It was a lot of fun to hint at the locations that were off the map, the mysterious places that you weren’t gonna go, you weren’t going. And so you could just bring in some props or some characters, a piece of art, things like that, and you know, even Tevinter was only vaguely hinted at and then we would just add drips and bits and pieces, so that stuff was really fun. In The Veilguard, we’re actually getting to visit, most, like a whole lot of those locations that had only been hinted at for real, so you actually do run around Tevinter and a bunch of the other locations that we’ve revealed. But this also means, like, we’re not completely filling out the map, and so that there are actually new things that we can start hinting at, that we can start drip-feeding, and so, it’s, it’s kind’ve fun. I’d say, yeah, for what we can show of Kal-Sharok, and, and other locations, it’s just, there’s, there’s more to do.
Katey: Awesome. MrFightmonster118 asks, will the dialogue wheel slash options be similar to Inquisition and Mass Effect: Andromeda in the sense that it’s more tone-based?
John: Yeah, so, we have a number of different types of wheels in our game. All the dialogue wheels are based off the same principle. Anyone who’s played a Dragon Age game remembers what they look like. In Dragon Age: The Veilguard we have tone wheels which are, you know, again, roleplaying your character, picking consistent tone. We also have emotion wheels where you can pick specific emotional reactions. And choice wheels which are, I don’t have a strong emotional or tone tie here but I do want to make a choice based on what I do. Investigates obviously return as well, but. We do want players to understand as much as possible what it is they’re going to be picking, and understand, and again, choice and consequence is fun, we wanna make sure the choice is clear, even if, again, one of the best parts about consequence is making sure that’s not entirely clear, so.
Katey: How extensive are Rook’s decision trees for dialogue going to be with the companions and also with NPCs throughout the game?
John: Huge. I mean, again, it’s a Dragon Age game, we wanna make sure you have choices, we wanna make sure you can choose both your roleplaying but also choose outcomes of conversations, choose how events unfold, so, I mean, again, it’s a Dragon Age game, we wanna make sure that we also react to decisions you’ve made, so. For example, you may be talking to a follower who is an elf, and if you yourself are an elf, obviously you’re gonna have a different perspective on events than someone who’s not an elf. Sometimes that means different conversation options, sometimes that’s going to mean entirely deep dialogue trees, as well as based off decisions you’ve made throughout the game so, again, making sure that the game feels like it’s noticing what you’re doing is a huge part of how we’ve written out the dialogue wheel, or dialogue trees, in this game.
Corinne: Blueberry has a question for Corinne. It was mentioned that there will be, that we will be able to romance who we like. Does that mean that all companions are romanceable by all player characters regardless of race or gender, as it has been in the past?
Corinne: Yeah, yeah. So, we have talked about this in some of the interviews, I’ve seen a few articles about it, so I’d recommend everyone check out those articles. But let me just give you a quick overview. Each of the seven companions have full romance arcs and they are romanceable by all genders, absolutely. But something that’s really important to, to us on the team, so I wanna make sure that we clarify and just double-down on, that doesn’t mean playersexual. And if anyone’s unaware of what we mean by that, it doesn’t mean that they can form or twist their identities to who you the player are, like they, they won’t suddenly have a preference for men or women based on what you’re playing, right? Instead, they have their own fully fleshed-out identities, they are true and authentic to that. So in this game, they are all pansexual, with their own histories of romance. Sometimes you’ll hear about preferences, or things of that nature. And what I really love is, if you don’t pursue a romance with them, they’ll actually build their own romances with each other. So, in one of the interviews I talked about Lace Harding and Taash getting together. I give that example because honestly, it’s one of my favorites. I’m gonna put a question back to the community, though. I’ve heard we’re going with “Laash” for that ship-name? You tell me, like, what is that ship-name?
Katey: That one just rolls off the tongue, I feel like that works. This next question is from FallenArtesia. What are the markings on the faces of the elven Warden and Veil hopper?
Matt: So there’s a, quite a few, probably, I think, easily more than we’ve done before, tattoos from various, various cultures. We’re bringing the vallaslin back, of course. But there’s, yeah, ton of different options, especially when we’re, again, going into all these new regions. Each, each area has its own kind’ve visual language for that. But yeah, we are bringing the vallaslin back and then a couple of the characters have them, but we’ve kind’ve customized them a little bit, they’re a bit more specific to their personality.
Katey: And this is a question for all of you. What are you, what are you as a developer most proud of about the game, and what are you most excited for players to experience when it’s out?
John: Ooh, that’s a good question.
Corinne: Isn’t it?
John: Corinne, you wanna go first?
Corinne: Yeah, sure. Gosh. So I suspect for most of us, myself included, it is really gonna be the depth and authenticity of the companions, journeying along with them on their arcs, learning about their hardships, what they care about, being by their side, that, that authenticity is just so good. They all feel like my dear friends. But, I have to say, the closest runner-up for me, has to be the Character Creator, has to be. That Character Creator, the makeup options, the range of sliders. I’m a qunari fan, so even just the, the way you customize the horns and combine that with the really great-looking hair. Character Creator has to be my, my, like very close runner up.
Matt: Oh yeah. For me, I would say, as far as, what, what I can say I’m most proud of on this one, the, I can speak for the art team. We worked incredibly hard to make the story more visible than ever. Games are a visual medium, but, you know, it’s, sometimes it’s easier to do things in text format or written in a Codex somewhere or alluded to off-screen. But we really leaned in to trying to make sure that every design, prop, character, environment, the VFX we’re choosing, everything, all, all these choices, were putting the story on-screen so that you can really see it unfold. And I think, having worked on all of the Dragon Age games, I would say Veilguard represents one of the best attempts at that we’ve made yet.
John: I’m gonna cheat, because I’m going last and I get to do that when I go last, and kinda combine both Corinne’s and Matt’s answer. Honestly, the companions are, for me, the absolute highlight of, just, being able to work across all the disciplines, building characters who look and sound and behave in very specific and characterful ways. These are the deepest companion arcs we’ve ever done. Not just on Dragon Age, but at BioWare in general. Each, each companion has their own story arc, you can go through decisions you can make, they really do take center-stage, and I think, as you play through with them you see the care and love that the team has put into each and every one. I mean there’s, there’s moments in each arc that make you cry, make you angry, make you excited and, and the way that they integrate into the story as a whole is just, for me, something that’s been really fun. Finding ways to bring these characters together, finding ways to make this, this narrative, this story of, you know, you need to put together a team and stop the end of the world, it’s just been absolutely exciting and thrilling. And again, you see the team’s love in every single piece of it. As for what I’m most excited? For me, I’ve been, I mean Dragon Age has been part of my career, part of my life for literally the last decade and a half. I’ve worked on it since Origins and there’s something about The Veilguard that feels like a amazing mix of, novelty but also familiarity. It’s like coming home in a way that I think is going to be very exciting for people who are existing Dragon Age players, but there’s also so much here that’s just new and exciting for people, new players and old players alike. And going to parts of the word, seeing things we’ve never seen before, and just getting to take this amazing world, this amazing series and expand on it and build on it in ways that have just been, honestly, an absolute thrill, the best part of my career. And I’ve been in games for seventeen years now, this has been the absolute highlight for me, so. That’s what I’m excited about.
Corinne: John, that was, that was such a good answer, and I just, I just wanna “yes, and -” that. It, I so completely agree with you. There’ve been times in the companion arcs where even, knowing exactly what’s going to happen, we work on the game, with some of these decisions, I, I’ve had to set down the controller, let out a heavy sigh and go “oh my god, what am I gonna do here?” Yeah, the depth of them is wonderful. And, I do wanna say, I, I’d be, I wanna put this out there, when we talked about as a developer, what are we most proud of, can we just give a big shout-out to the dev team? I am so proud of them. This team has poured their heart and soul into this.
John: Absolutely.
Corinne: Anyone from BioWare who’s listening in, thank you so much, y’all are just the best.
John: Hear, hear.
Katey: I absolutely love that. I knew that question was going to have some of my best, some of my favorite answers, and it delivered, so thank you three. This one’s a fun one. Why does Varric have dark hair now? I feel like John mentioned this a little bit earlier, but.
John: Just for [inaudible].
Matt: He’s been, he’s been adventuring for a while now. His hair is, is more gray, but he’s been in very dark scenes so far, so. We’ll see him in some more contexts.
Katey: In this question, we actually took from Tumblr, because there were a few really good ones in our ask box. Will the Inquisitor be appearing in the flesh, or are we just choosing their major Dragon Age: Inquisition decisions?
Corinne: Alright! Yeah, yes! They will. The Inky does appear. We know how attached y’all are to the Inquisitor, I’ve seen the love for your OC. Yes, the Inquisitor shows up. Now, we, we’d already confirmed that in a few places, so, let me just say, you can also customize them, includes some of our new customization options, yeah, they’re gonna show up and they’re gonna be your Inquisitor.
John: And I think, I think beyond that, I mean, the story of Solas and the story of the Inquisitor, obviously are tied, they’re tied together as much as any story, so. It would have been strange for us not to bring them in for this one. They have, they’re gonna be a part of the story, so.
Katey: Will there be any planned DLC? Just curious, as I always love the DLCs. Oh, and transmog armor. This one came from Lavell.
Corinne: Oh, heck yeah, good question. So, right now, our focus is entirely on the quality of the game. Like, it’s so important at this stage for us to be all-in, all attention on, just, finishing this game and delivering on the quality, the promise of it. So honestly, like, that’s all I can really say about it. We’re 100% focused on this being the most complete game we can make it. I will say, kind’ve related to that though, and I just wanna underscore this, I wanna emphasize it. There’s not gonna be any microtransactions, there’s not gonna be any battle passes, you don’t have to connect online, our focus is making this the most complete singleplayer game we possibly can. Now, this was kind’ve a two-for question, I love when we do that. Will there be transmog? Hell yeah. I’m the kind’ve player that, that believes fashion is the real end-game. Yeah, there’s a transmog system, absolutely, it’s sick.
Katey: And then this next question is from Scott. I was asking if any of the characters will be explicitly asexual, or on the ace spectrum?
Corinne: So good. Such a good question. So, look, I’m just, I’m gonna be really forthcoming with y’all and a little bit vulnerable here. I’m ace, I’m a gray-ace, I don’t mind sharing that, I’m kind’ve public with it. I will say though, that none of our companions this time around are explicitly ace. When we look at the characters, their motivations, who they are, we always assess, like is, is this the right time? This time it wasn’t. But what I will say for everyone on the ace spectrum out there, I would love to represent an ace relationship sometime in the future when it feels like the most authentic fit for a companion, when we can do it best. Oh, and I do see some questions, you know, some questions, what do we mean by ace? Asexuality. We often refer to it as the ace spectrum.
Katey: Can mage Rook do blood magic? Will blood magic be a skill tree separate from regular magic?
Corinne: Okay. Um, this gets a little spoilery, so let me just say, Rook has some pretty good reasons to avoid blood magic. Rook is not gonna want to be interested in that. But I will say, the mage skill tree is packed with all kinds of spells, traits and perks to give you a ton of flexibility in your magic. Gonna go off-script just a little bit, because –
John: Oh no.
Corinne: I’ve seen, like, can you tell us about the specializations for mage? I’m not gonna tell you the deets, but there is a necromancer one, there is an elemental one, and there is one that’s actually more of like a combat mage, it’s my favorite.
Katey: Can we name the griffon? We also have a griffon emoji now in this Discord server.
John: Excellent. So, someone on your, in your party, again, spoilers, may have already named the griffon, but, don’t worry, Assan is a very good boy, so.
Corinne: All these griffon emojis are, y’all are killing me.
Katey: Yeah, I love that, griffons in the chat. Let's see. Will we have a camp/home/headquarters that we’ll be able to customize?
Matt: Well this time around, in Inquisition you had Skyhold. In this case you have a headquarters called the Lighthouse. More to be seen on that. But, it’s, it, narratively it, it serves kind’ve a different purpose but also the same purpose. As far as customization goes, there are elements of it that change over time, and some things that you can adjust. I, I don’t know how much we’re really going into that at the moment.
Katey: This one is –
Matt: But yeah, I would say, it’s like, there’s some, it, one thing I like about it is it definitely does start to feel very much like a home over time.
Katey: Sorry for almost cutting you off there Matt. We have another very hard-hitting question, if I'm, if I do say so myself.
John: I love this one.
Katey: We need to - Same. We need to know, does pasta and noodles exist in Thedas? Thank you.
Matt: Well, and I’ll take it as a chance just to geek out about worldbuilding, because, again, we’re, The Veilguard for us is a really kinda dream opportunity to go to places that we’ve only ever heard reference to, or we’ve seen hints at. And so, in going through the worldbuilding process and trying to, trying to build these places out, not just as neat things from the IP but also as, you know, if you’ve, if you've read about this stuff, if you’ve been following along, you’ve got your own version of it in your head. You’ve imagined what it might be like, you’re, and probably hoping for something spectacular. And our brains are always far better at creating this stuff than any game developer, any artist, or anyone can really do justice to, so you really have to swing for the fences to make something very satisfying and exciting. You know, is, that can be everything as big as architecture and landscape and biomes and ecosystems, but it does get into things like art and culture, costume design, and also food, and this time around we did, you know, that was one of the many things that we, that we did, looking to, just to try to catch the character and the feel of a place to make it feel believable and lived in, so. That’s my really long answer for, yeah, I’m sure, I've, at least one place does have pasta.
Katey: I loved that. This next question is from Spectre Karro. Are we getting a mabari?
John: Ooh, that’s a good question. I will say, you’re spending most of the game in the north of Thedas. Mabari are not nearly as big of a thing up there, so. In this particular instance, no, you will not get a mabari, sadly.
Katey: Honestly, I should’ve pulled this one up to where we answered the first question about the griffon, but, can we pet the griffon?
Matt: You, I’m really sorry to have to be the one to tell you – nah, I’m kidding, yes you can. But it’s not even just petting the griffon. I’ve, this isn’t a spoiler, I think you can actually, I’ve actually hugged the griffon, so, that feels like, even there, a step up. Yeah.
John: There’s lots of opportunities to interact with the griffon.
Corinne: Can we see, can we see Assan in chat if we wanna see him in the Lighthouse hanging out?
Katey: Assan in chat everybody.
Corinne: Assan in chat, alright!
Katey: I love it.
Corinne: Okay, y’all this was so important to the team too. Like, this is the team’s like, just such huge support for this feature, so props to them.
Katey: This one is from Coriander. Will we get to see any of the Character Creator before the game releases?
Corinne: Yes, yes you will. We’ve got a, you’ve probably seen, we’re laying out a roadmap for, you know, what we’re gonna show and when we’re gonna talk about, so, yes you will see it as we get a little bit closer to launch.
Katey: And then we’ve got this question which is, will we be able to play as a qunari, dwarf, elf, or human?
Corinne: Hell yeah, hell yeah you will. All four, and all four have that full-body customization. I already talked a little bit about, I mean listen, I’ve always loved the qunari. I will say in Dragon Age: Inquisition it was hard to get a good-looking qunari hairstyle, so yes you can play as them, you can customize them, the horn options are rad, the hair options are rad. And also, I guess related to this, your lineage gives you a lot of really unique dialogue options, so that’s a really lovely aspect of choosing your lineage as well.
John: Yeah, I would, so to actually just to bounce off that, to an earlier question about backgrounds, each lineage, there, depending on the lineage you choose and the background you choose there are some specifics call-outs to, for example, if it’s the Mourn Watch, the Mourn Watch being a faction from Nevarra of mages, you play as a dwarf, obviously your experience in that faction is going to be different than, say, a human or an elf, so. There are also specific call-outs tailored to those combinations and, with again, giving, the intention of giving each lineage their own little flavor as to how they're, they fit into that faction as a whole.
Katey: Okay, John, I’ve got a question from someone named Joe for you. Where is Barkspawn and is he okay?
John: That’s a Great question. Barkspawn is safely gnawing on a bone next to a fireplace somewhere in Ferelden, don’t worry, he’s fine. You may question, ask yourself, but John, it’s been so long, in which I say, mabari live exactly as long as they need to.
Corinne: Getting into the deep-cut questions now.
John: Deep-cut questions, yeah.
Katey: Yeah. We are really speedin’ through these. Let’s see. Will Rook have a set of default name?
John: Yeah so, Rook’s last name is defined based on their faction, again, we wanted to tie that into your backstory, but also, there’s a, that’s a name generator that can give you a selection of first names. Obviously if you want to make your own first name, that’s definitely something we support as well. If you’re somebody who maybe has a little bit more difficulty coming up with a name, so for example you name every single character “Bob” because that’s the only name you can think of, we also give that opportunity for that generation, so.
Katey: I definitely always have trouble coming up with what I wanna name my characters, so that’s great. This next question is, when will the voice acting cast be announced?
John: So, we worked with a lot of very talented actors on this one. I am super excited to talk about the voice acting cast. We’ll be talking a bit more over the summer, we’re not quite ready to announce names yet.
Katey: And I think we have a similar answer to this next question, which was, will there be a Collector’s Edition? When can I pre-order?
John: Yeah, same answer, we have, we’ll talk more about the different editions of the game soon.
Katey: Are there any special musical guests writing the sound-track? Will tavern songs return.
Corinne: Oh my goodness, yeah. There are tavern songs. And huge credit to the audio team and performance teams because they’re pretty great. There’s one in a little tavern in Minrathous called The Swan, and the song you hear there might just, it might be, it’s up there, it might just be my favorite of the tavern songs.
Katey: Let’s see, are there any – ope, I have just asked that one. What are the required PC specs?
John: Much like the other two, we will have more information on required PC specs soon.
Katey: Saph from the Discord server noticed that two, Dragon Age II’s main theme from the soundtrack brought back much of the iconic thematic material of Origins’ main theme, but I heard less of it in Inquisition’s. Can we expect The Veilguard’s main theme to recall more or less of that original thematic material than Inquisition?
John: So we’re not, we’re not quite ready to talk about music yet in specifics, but in broad strokes I can say the process for us is always the same. Working with the composer, working, figuring out themes, figuring out what kinds of elements we want to keep, tying specific elements to, maybe specific characters. It’s a really in-depth process and a really collaborative process. We have some fantastic audio people on our team that have done an amazing work, amazing job, working with composers, and, with the team as a whole to make sure that, again, we said earlier about cohesiveness. Making sure that the music feels like a cohesive part of the experience.
Katey: And this one, I see is also for John, but I think anyone can answer this. When writing the overall story of this game, what themes did you want to have as the prominent focus?
John: I mean again, it’s interesting, so it’s interesting, because when we were writing these games, and this has been true on every Dragon Age I’ve been part of, what you start with and where you end up aren’t always necessarily the same. Sometimes you start writing out a theme, you realize actually it’s more interesting if we attack from this angle, or maybe if we twist it a little bit. I will say for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, from the beginning one of the biggest themes has been regret. How regret’s shaped peoples’ lives, how people deal with their regrets, how people maybe move past their regrets and, each of the characters, you know, the stories as a whole, have elements of this tied throughout. We really wanted to have that thematic, that cohesiveness to the game’s story and the game’s writing so.
Katey: And I know that, you know, we’ve, we've kind’ve already answered this a few times, but can we play as dwarves and does the world react to your race and backstory? Probably be good to just directly answer that one.
John: Yes you can play as a dwarf. Yes the world does react to your race and backstory. And, again, you’ll have unique dialogues or unique conversation options based on that, on that backstory and as well as that race.
Corinne: I’ll give you a little nugget here, because I saw it scrolling through real quickly. Do you have beards, like. So when I think about can I play as dwarves I think about, do we have glorious fantastic beards? Hell yeah, we do.
John: Yeah, I can say, as somebody who plays a lot of games with character creator, the beards on, I don’t know what magic the character art team did for the beards, but they feel like a beard should feel like, it’s great. They look awesome.
Corinne: Just saw somebody say “it’s beard time”, I love it. It’s beard time!
Katey: Will our heroes and companions leave us if we go against their wishes?
Corinne: Oh my good – do y’all just love pain? Do you want us to make you cry? If you go against their wishes, if you make decisions they don’t like, I will tell you, you can piss them off, you can, they might not agree with you and they, they will take some time away. That said, this is the biggest threat to Thedas we’ve ever seen, so they’re, they are always gonna be willing to show up to defend Thedas but, yeah, you can piss them off and they’ll leave for a minute. As it relates to them showing up to defend Thedas, well yeah, they will, unless…
John: No spoilers Corinne!
Corinne: Aughhh, I’ll leave it there, I’ll leave it there.
John: No spoilers.
Corinne: Okay, alright, alright. But they want it!
John: Yep.
Matt: Don’t try to stop me, Smee!
Katey: This one’s a fun one about some inspirations for the game. Dracanmo would like to know if any songs, books, movies or anything have had inspired any of the writing for the characters?
John: I mean, honestly, the thing about art is, art is always a synthesis of your own experiences both in the real world but also the art you consume, the art you pay attention to. I don’t think that any characters have what I would describe as, this character was a direct reference or direct inspiration but, I mean, yeah, they’re all inspired by the things that we do, the things, both, again, in the real world, and also in the media we consume. And you’re gonna see elements of characters that, yeah, the things that we’ve enjoyed, the things that’ve shaped us, show up in these characters. I think, for me, it’s, it comes down to, and I, I, writing is a deeply, can be a deeply personal experience, so even if you don’t intend for it to be the case, things, parts of you are going to show up in your character, I think that’s true for all the characters in The Veilguard. And, you know, sometimes it’s, exploring, exploring the, y’know, things that, about yourself that you may like or may not like, and it’s also about exploring things about characters that you like or don’t like, so. That’s kinda my long-winded way of saying yes, it’s impossible to not have that happen when you’re creating art. But I wouldn’t say that there’s one where you can say, oh this is this character, this is this character.
Katey: What was the thinking process behind making Harding a companion this time around? Was she always going to be one or did it evolve into one because she was such a lovable character?
John: Ohh, yeah. So Harding, I mean. When we released Inquisition, it was impossible not to see the love that people had for our murderous girl next door dwarf. She’s always been a fan favorite obviously, but I think beyond that, it’s something that there, that Harding’s writer wanted to explore. There was more of a story to tell there, more perspective, and beyond that, Harding obviously has a strong connection to Solas, and to the, to Varric, and to the events of the past ten years, so. I wouldn’t say it’s always been, but I’d say Harding’s probably one of the first ones we settled on as like, yes, this is a character we want and the writer had a story that they wanted to tell with her, so, it just made sense.
Matt: You know, I think actually, to piggyback on that, that’s something I hadn’t really even thought about that much, but, and it’s not a huge part of her character, but, she tends to be one of the people that have the most insight into he was.
John: Yeah, that’s exactly it, that’s exactly, and yeah, that’s a great way of looking at it too. It also provides you with a little bit of that, that perspective. For players who’ve been around, you know, who played with previous Dragon Age games, but also for new ones, who was Solas? What kind of character was, was he?
Matt: Yeah.
John: Yeah, it’s a great, it’s a great, using characters to provide windows onto the world is honestly one of my favorite things.
Matt: And, and when I say was, I just mean, in Inquisition.
John: Yes, that’s, that’s exactly it, yes. Thank you for correcting that.
Matt: Yeah.
Katey: And what approach are you taking to quest and world design in The Veilguard?
John: I think for us it just comes down to relevance and narrative heft. We want to make sure that each quest provides either a perspective on the world or perspective on the characters, or feels immediately and obviously relevant to what you’re, what you’re doing here. You’re here to save the world and, again, at the end of the day, one of the things that we heard, we heard loud and clear, was some feedback about how relevant, or in this, in our case, not relevant, previous quests have felt, so for Veilguard, we really wanted to make sure that these quests felt like something that you, somebody faced with the end of the world would believe was necessary and important. So, again, there’s quests of all sorts and sizes, but all of them share that same feeling of, this is the kind of thing that The Veilguard would do. This is the kind’ve thing that my hero would do, especially faced with the end of the world.
Corinne: Yeah, that’s, that’s really good John. That’s so right. I would just, again, double-down on how hand-crafted all the quests are, and whether, whether you’re doing, like, the main story, or you’re journeying with your companions, or you’re out exploring and you encounter a mystery. Everything’s handcrafted, intentional. We spent a lot of time listening to what y’all said, and of course everyone has slightly different tastes, but, you know, you’re not gonna be gathering shards in the Hinterlands. Everything is built with intention, and, you know, a dev there lovingly handcrafting the experience.
Katey: Are there any locations in the game that can only be accessed by making specific story choices?
John: So I don’t wanna get too much into spoilers here because this does start getting into spoiler detail, but I will say that locations can fundamentally change based on decisions you make. Some of the parts of the world that you go to, you can have, the decision, the choices you make have an impact on how these spaces exist and develop, so, yeah, and again, don’t wanna too many into, into story spoilers, but, your decisions do impact how the world shows up.
Katey: And will we be able to control our companions in combat through tactical mode, or if the PC, or player character, gets KO’d, like in previous games?
Corinne: Right, so. If Rook gets KO’d, your player character gets knocked out, this time around it is time to re-load your save, or better yet, the companions have really interesting progression, you can spec them out to be able to revive you, but that’s, that’s if you’ve invested in their own progression and what they can do. And that said, I, I mentioned this earlier but I, I personally spend more time in the nature of this combat system when everything comes together, interacting and directing the companions than I have in any of the other games, so, like, like that, that interactivity between them, once you play it you’ll see how, just engaged the team is.
Katey: A user named It’s Sarah said, my real most important Dragon Age question is, will Solas still occasionally or dramatically speak in iambic pentameter?
John: You know, I was, I actually spent a little bit of time trying to figure out if I wanted to answer this question in iambic pentameter and then I very quickly gave up. Massive kudos to Patrick who, who always writes Solas so well. Again, Solas is a returning character, it’s the same Solas you know and love, or hate, depending on who you are. Same writer, so, I think, this has been, the answer is, well of, yeah, it’s Solas.
Katey: Will our decision of who in particular was left behind in the Fade be important?
John: So, while that decision does not show up, that – sorry, let me, restart. Not for The Veilguard. That decision doesn’t show up here. Now, that said, that doesn’t mean that’s that’s not a decision that will ever be important in the future, so. Again, not for this one, though.
Matt: I’m glad to hear you say that, John, because one of my favorite stories was Bob getting stuck in the web in reboot and it just feels like -
John: That’s a, that’s a deep cut!
Corinne: Very, that’s a deep cut.
John: Holy smokes.
Corinne: My goodness.
John: The sound of my childhood.
Katey: Will we have mounts again? If so, any hints to what types we’ll have?
Matt: So no, no, mounts, excuse me. Mounts were, they were, they addressed a need in Inquisition that we don’t have in Veilguard, and you’ll see why, when you get to play.
Katey: LightningStar asks, how is the side quest design? Will they be mostly story-based, or will there be a lot of radiant quests or resources or Power, like in Inquisition?
John: We talked about it a little bit earlier, but, no, they are all hand-crafted and story-focused. Again, narrative, the companions, not just the companions but the characters in the world as a whole are so much at the core of The Veilguard that, anything other than hand-crafted quests just felt like it would be a disservice to the game we were building.
Corinne: Yeah. And maybe, we can clarify as well, because, like Power was such a divisive mechanic in Inquisition. There’s no mechanic like that that blocks your progression until you fill a bar, right, like that’s just not a thing in this. You have the autonomy to engage in these, these quests as you like. There’s no, like, y'know, grind-out gates before you can progress.
John: That’s right, yeah. Again, we wanna make sure that, again, that doing this content feels as natural and part of the logical flow of the story as possible.
Katey: So, it looks like we only have time for three more questions, so I’m going to get through those. With this next one, is from someone named Jason. Will there be a similar system to the War Table missions?
Corinne: Ooh, interesting. So, we haven’t talked much about the player’s base, the Lighthouse. And we’re gonna save that for a beat, but what I will say is that the Lighthouse, your headquarters so to speak, it has its own unique purposes and functions this time. So that’s an area that we’ll, we’ll leave for you when we talk more about the Lighthouse, and then when you have a chance to hop in, you’ll be able to see what those unique purposes and functions are.
Katey: If there is dual-wield for warriors, will it rely on dexterity or strength?
Corinne: Ah, okay, yeah, yeah. So we did wanna bring dual-wielding back. It is part of the rogue kit this time. So warriors are really focused on mighty two-handed weapons, can’t wait til you see, when you swing and connect with those weapons, there’s, there’s a real heft to it. And then of course sword and shield, so. We’re leaving the dual-wielding to the rogues, but you, you can see just, the amount of hits you can get in in rapid succession dual-wielding as a rogue is really satisfying.
Katey: And the last question that we’re able to get to today, is, what have been some of the challenges and advantages of working on a single, on a single game for so many years? How did you sustain the work in yourselves and the process?
John: That is a fantastic question. I will say for myself, I’ve often joked, and I don’t know how much of a joke it actually is, that when this game is out and I suddenly don’t have to keep all these pieces of game and lore and story and everything straight in my head, I’m suddenly gonna be able to speak Latin or something because there’s gonna be a ton of brainpower freed up. But for me it’s just, you know, it's, the thing that keeps me sustained is just knowing the game that we’re building is the right one. Knowing that the beats are coming together, and knowing just how much people care about this franchise, care about these games, and how excited people are going to be when they get to see the fantastic work that the team has, has been doing. And that really is, I can say, I’ve been on this project since the start, and even today, I see things on a daily basis, I’m like holy – smokes, sorry, I almost swore, I can’t believe what the team is doing, I can’t believe the, how good this looks, I can’t believe. Because it’s a huge game. There’s pieces that I, I don’t see every piece of the game every day so, I get pleasantly surprised on a daily basis and that, I will say, you know, confession, sometimes if I’m having a particularly long day, I’ll spend about an hour late at night just watching cutscenes coming in, watching the work coming together and just, sitting back and being like, holy smokes, I cannot wait for someone who hasn’t seen this every day for so long as I have to experience this and just be blown away by the work, so.
Corinne: It's, it’s been very real, hasn’t it? And, and I will just say, speaking on behalf of the dev team, everyone’s working so hard, they’re putting so much passion, so much of themselves into it. Like this is a franchise they truly love, and seeing your support, cheering us on, it’s just meant a lot to them, so, let me just say thank you to all of you.
Katey: And I wanna say thank you to you three for taking the time to do this. I know that it matters a lot to the community to be able to, you know, get some time with you guys and, you know, make sure that some of their dying questions are, are answered, so thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to do this. For anyone who’s still listening I promise that I’m that I’m working on a way for these questions to be immortalized somewhere. Stay tuned for that so that you don’t have to worry about this, just, you know, disappearing into the ether. So, stay tuned, thank you all for your time. Anything else we wanna say before we jump off?
Matt: Thanks everyone.
John: Thank you. Yeah, I’m super excited to show more of this and, yeah, this is gonna be, hopefully this is the first of many of these opportunities to talk to you all directly. Again, it’s been a while, and getting to talk about this game has been absolutely exciting. I know for myself, as well for the rest of the team, so thank you all.
Corinne: Just thank you, it’s, the Dragon Age community, how much it means to you, how much it means to us, it’s just wonderful to see you all so invested and excited to come here and talk to us. Thank you again, truly.
Katey: We'll hopefully do something like this again soon. Okay, cool, have a great day everybody! Talk soon!
John: Bye y’all!
Matt: Bye.

my fic + author recs!
i have been suuuper disgruntled by the fic community recently and how casually and thoughtlessly some fic writers/readers seem to be indirectly insulting people’s work. this community and its fics are so varied, and i think they deserve to be appreciated. which is why im reccing a bunch of my fav fics!! please give these writers sooo much love!!
(about all of my recs are nsfw, but some authors mentioned do have sfw fics. please explore and follow the warnings outlined for each fic!!)
“i know your wife and she wouldn’t mind” by @stairain
gotta start out with stairain. i would pretty much credit my whole desire to write fanfics to the fact that i religiously read their whole masterlist a summer ago. they are a fantastic writer, and i love how they captured spencer here. take a look!
“i want you” by @smurphyse
i HEAVILY recommend smurphyse as an author. their series, room 405 is probably one of my most reread fics ever. their threesome and foursome fics are beyond supreme. i love this one shot they’ve written, and i hope you guys do too!
“loverboy” by @sundrop-writes
while i dont think this person writes for cm anymore, their fics for it were fantastic. i love how they captured sub spencer, and i think this is one of my most reread fics ever.
“puppy eyes” by @misserabella
i am in looove with the way this person writes. while i dont have a link to it, “sick love” changed my brain chemistry. sub spencer save me sub spencer save me.
“summer of sin” by @mercy-burning
hoooly shit. if you know me, you’ll know i probably reccomend this fic to everyone i know. i just genuinely can’t say anything besides telling you with my whole heart to check it out. awesome way to close out your summer honestly.
i would love to write blurbs about my love for these fics for everyone, but i fear the post would become too longwinded. here are some links and authors i recommend just as enthusiastically as i did the others above.

welcome to the small blurb after where i say something that’s been bugging me. i think it’s corny to indirectly insult people’s work on here. i think it’s corny to imply a “correct” way to write a character, especially in terms of writing about a characters sex life, a sex life that has no canonical basis to it! (i am talking about spencer here, if it is not obvious). i think it’s thoughtless, arrogant and all around odd to engage with that type of behavior. the variety of fanfiction that exists here is such an awesome thing, and i think itd be so incredibly boring if we all thought the same thing and wrote the same thing about the same characters over and over again.
if you’re a writer and you’ve felt that your work has been unappreciated or rejected, or have read something that left you feeling off about your own work, i am very sorry. every contributor to this fandom is awesome. you deserve every flower ever. 🌷🌷🌷
and if you’re reading this and feel called out.. examine that! i make this post off of a general vibe i have examined in the past few weeks. there is no level of entitlement you hold that allows you to dictate how and what people should write.
i say these words with little malice. id like to hope everyone is capable of being a little better everyday, and i hope any amount of reflection can lead to that.
anyway, that’s all ❤️ baiiii enjoy reading!!!!!

what is your feminine archetype?
pick a card reading ᡣ𐭩
note: this is just a short general reading so if anything does not seem to resonate please simply let it go. feedback and requests are very welcome.
extended reading is on my patreon ᡣ𐭩
pile 1:
page of cups, mother, prostitute, goddess of the moon
to whoever picked this pile, your feminine energy is quite prominent and versatile ~ you suit multiple archetypes simply because you are very feminine! the first archetype is the mother ~ you may have very strong maternal instincts and a highly developed intuition. you have a great capacity to love unconditionally and nurture others. you may be quite in tune with your emotions and sensitive to the emotions of others. your femininity gives major princess vibes ~ sweet, curious, alluring and a tad bit mysterious. there's also another energy that i'm picking up on, which is hard to explain ~ it's giving sugar baby vibes, like you'd easily get paid just for your companionship honestly (O-O。) ~ and you probably are physically beautiful as the cherry on top. you can be a home away from home for some people. you may easily attract people who find deep comfort in you. other people tend to feel safe and relaxed in your presence.
pile 2:
king of wands, damsel, angel, first chakra
your feminine archetype is angelic ~ you give off a soft, ethereal and possibly even a coquette vibe, you seem to have an otherworldly energy. you may also have this deer-like, bambi vibe of innocence and gentleness. although this may give the wrong impression of a helpless damsel due to the softly hyper feminine energy. you may capture the attention of men a lot because of this too ~ inspiring the masculine to provide for you, especially with regard to stability, security, protection and passion. however, you are capable of your own independence too ~ i think that this feminine archetype inherently invokes this damsel in distress narrative in romantic settings!
pile 3:
queen of cups, servant, don juan, the sun
your femininity is best described as delightful and pleasing ~ not to say you're a people pleaser but you seem to embody the most positive expressions of femininity and are a shining example of it too. you may be quite traditional and are highly developed emotionally ~ compassion, caring, sensitive and nurturing. i also get the sense that their is a cuteness and light-heartedness about you that others may adore ~ i can best describe this as aegyo. on another note, as your femininity is in a way all encompassing, it tends to naturally bring to light and inspires intense s*xual interest ~ in a way that is for the enjoyment, fun and leisure of romantic union. i apologise that i could not quite allocate a specific archetype but i hope that made sense ♡

James had arrived home earlier than expected, a rare occurrence that brought joy. The day at the office had been less than ideal, his mind constantly wandering to thoughts of you and unable to focus on his tasks. He had even considered leaving early just to be able to taste you again, the desperation gnawing at his stomach. But now, as he stepped inside your shared apartment, he was met with the comfortable silence that only came from being in a familiar space. Looking forward to seeing you, he's met with the realization that you hadn't arrived home yet. Glancing at his phone, he reads off a text from you.
"Traffic, sorry babe."
"Of course," he mutters. Placing the phone face down on the catch-all beside the door.
With a sigh of relief, James discarded his suit jacket and removed his tie, enjoying the feeling of being free from the constraints. Leisurely, he walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge, retrieving a bottle of water and tearing it open with eagerness. As he drank down the cool liquid, some escaping and trickling down his chin, he couldn't help but think about how much he wanted more than just water to quench his thirst.
Feeling worn from the long day, James made his way to the bedroom and decided to wait for you there. The sight that greeted him was one he had become all too familiar with - mangled bedsheets, pillows thrown haphazardly, and pajamas scattered in unlikely places. It was clear evidence of just how passionate things could get between the two of you, bodies intertwined like pieces of a puzzle meant to fit together perfectly.
Sighing once again, James bent down and began picking up the items scattered across the floor. He knew you wouldn't be happy returning home to such a mess, but he couldn't help but relive the morning's events in his mind. The sweet moans that escaped your lips without inhibition as he moved inside you slowly, savoring every moment until both of you were consumed by chasing each other's highs.
A pair of maroon panties come into James' view. They weren't anything special, a generic bikini style that you rotated in your everyday wear. Miles away from what you'd treat James with on special occasions.
As he picked up the panties from the floor, he couldn't resist running his fingers over the ribbed fabric, tracing the stitching and admiring the lace trim on the band. His eyes were drawn to the small stain in the center, a marvel that it had stayed preserved since this morning. Without hesitation, James brought the fabric to his nose and breathed in the perfume it radiated, feeling his cock throb with each huff. "Fuck," he whispered before running his tongue along the seam where your wetness had soaked through.
Feeling a surge of pleasure rush through him as he tasted your lingering essence on the deliciated fabric. His body responded in an instant. A familiar warmth spreading through his core. His eyes sealed, savoring the moment and letting his imagination run wild with thoughts of you. Everything about you. The arch in your back, "Fuck," the desperation in your face -- your eyes rolling, "god, she's driving me crazy," fingers clawing at the sheets underneath you, "I can't wait."
Unable to resist temptation any longer, James shed his slacks and boxers. Your panties clutched in his grasp, unwilling to loose sight of his newfound treasure. He ran them over his chest, down to his stomach, teasing himself as he pictured your soft skin beneath his fingers instead of the silky material. He returns the fabric to his face taking one last inhale before wrapping it around his hardening length. James stroked himself slowly, pathetically whimpering as he begged to build tension. He imagined your body pressed against his, your lips trailing kisses down his neck.
The sound of jingling keys in the front door broke through his reverie. James hitched a breath, standing up quickly to zip his pants up painfully against his throbbing length. He quickly tucked the panties into his pocket. His heart still racing, beads of sweat dripping down his neck. He heard your footsteps approaching, "James…" you called out into the empty hall. James takes a deep, hard breath in an attempt to compose himself.
You appeared in the doorway, a vision that made his breath catch. Your eyes lit up when you saw him, a playful smile tugging at your lips. James surrendered his weight on the bed, using a pillow to disguise his member from you.
"You're home early!" There's a cheer in your voice that signals to James that you were blissfully unaware of what he was up to just moments ago. You saunter towards him, hands landing on each of his shoulders when you finally approach.
"Earlier than me, that's a first. But in my defense, traffic got me. You got my text, right?"
"Yeah, I did. I'm glad you're home." He muses looking up at you with a half grin.
James pulled you in close, inhaling your intoxicating scent. "I-I couldn't stay way." He murmured against your abdomen. Hands roamed your body. Studying your frame, completely entranced by you.
Your eyes meet with a raw intensity as you stand over James, your fingers lacing through his tousled blonde hair. "Let me shower first," you suggest, the weight of the day still heavy on your shoulders. But James tightens his grip on your waist, determination etched into every line of his face. The pillow on his lap falls to the floor, revealing what was hidden underneath. You can feel it against your knee, throbbing. It must've been so painful for him.
"No, please," James' voice is barely above a whisper. "I've been waiting."
Your jaw clenches at his words, the sight of him like this making your heart race. You help him to his feet, kissing him deeply and tasting the desperation in his touch. He's fighting against the urge that he knows so well - to press you down onto any surface and sink himself inside you with wild abandon. But he waits for your lead.
As your hands roam over his body, unbuttoning his shirt with care, you tease him with playful words. "Don't want to ruin such a nice shirt," you say, knowing that even these small moments of intimacy are driving him up the wall. He can barely speak without whimpering your name and begging for more.
Your hands dip into his pocket, expecting to find a handkerchief or some other object. But instead, you pull out something unexpected - your own panties from this morning. Your gaze meets James', and both of you are overwhelmed with a mixture of pleasure and shame.
"I… I was just keeping them safe," James stammers, his voice shaky.
You say nothing more as you drop to your knees before him.
"Safe from what?" you ask again.
But James can't answer. His mind is consumed with thoughts of you - your name alone sending shivers down his spine and making him ache with need.
"What were you doing, James?" you press, your voice dripping with desire.
James…James…James…the way you said his name made him pant. And he can't resist any longer. "I was jerking off thinking about you," he confesses, his words punctuated by hitched breaths as you work his pants open and free him from the confines of his briefs. "Jesus, fuck," he groans, unable to contain himself any longer.
You ask again, your eyes locked on his impressive cock - thick and long, with a reddened tip and strings of precum glistening in the light. A single vein runs along the shaft, one that always brings you pleasure when it's buried deep inside you.
"With my panties?" you repeat.
"I… I found them while cleaning up," James chokes out, his arousal and embarrassment evident in his confession.
You can't help but feel a surge of arousal at James' confession. The thought of him pleasuring himself with your panties sends a shiver down your spine. You look up at him, your eyes dark with desire.
"Show me," you command, your voice husky.
James hesitates for a moment, his cheeks flushing an even deeper shade of red. But the lust in his eyes is unmistakable. With trembling hands, he takes the panties from you and brings them to his face, inhaling deeply. A low moan escapes his lips.
"Like this," he whispers, his free hand moving to grasp his throbbing cock. "I imagined you wearing them, how I push them aside when I put my cock in you."
You watch, mesmerized, as James begins to stroke himself, the panties still pressed against his face. His movements are slow at first, tentative, but quickly grow more urgent. His breathing becomes ragged as he loses himself in the fantasy.
"Tell me more," you urge, your own arousal building as you witness his raw desire.
James groans, his hand moving faster. "I thought about peeling them off you, tasting you through the fabric. God, your scent drives me wild."
You can't resist any longer. You lean forward, replacing his hand with your own. James gasps at your touch, his hips jerking involuntarily.
"Like this?" you purr, matching the rhythm he had set.
"Yes," he hisses, his eyes screwed shut in pleasure. "Fuck, yes."
Your free hand travels up his thigh, nails scraping lightly against his sensitive skin. James shudders at the touch, his breath coming in short gasps of air. You can feel him trembling beneath your fingertips, he's struggling.
"Look at me," your command is soft, direct.
James' eyes flutter open, filled with want. The sight of you on your knees before him, hand wrapped around his cock as if it belongs more to rather than him. It nearly undoes him. He lets the panties fall from his grasp, reaching down to tangle his fingers in your hair instead. "I need you," his voice is thick, louder than his original whimpering state. "Please."
You smirk up at him, slowing your strokes to an agonizing pace. "Patience, love. We're just getting started."
With deliberate slowness, you lean forward and run your tongue along the underside of his shaft. Right on that vein that you loved so much. James' hips buck involuntarily as a low moan escapes his lips. Your tongue swirls around the tip, tasting the beads of precum there. James' fingers tighten in your hair, urging you closer.
"God, you're killing me," he pants, watching you through heavy-lidded eyes.
You take him into your mouth slowly, inch by torturous inch, until he hits the back of your throat. James throws his head back with a strangled cry of pleasure. You begin to bob your head, hollowing your cheeks as you suck. Your hand works what doesn't fit in your mouth, twisting slightly on each upstroke.
James is coming undone above you, his usual composure shattered. His hips rock in time with your movements, seeking more of the wet heat of your mouth. You can feel him getting close, his thighs tensing beneath your free hand.
The desperation in his voice sends a surge of adrenaline through your body. "I need you inside me," he stutters.
With your mouth still engulfed, you muffle out "You are inside me." Your words aren't coherent, but the vibrations in your pitch radiate over James. He moans, loudly, a sweet symphony that only encouraged your motions. Following it with yet another guttural moan, he thrusts forward, his hips stuttering as he spills himself into your waiting mouth. The salty, creamy taste of him floods your senses as you eagerly swallow every drop. Slowly, James pulls away from you, leaving a trail of saliva and cum glistening on your lips.
"Fuck," he gasps, still lost in the intense pleasure that had overtaken him. He traces his cock along your lips, his eyes filled with unbridled desire.
Smirking at him through lust-filled eyes, you taunt, "What was that about being inside me?"

Marked Up
Taeyong x Male reader
Summary: Anonymous ask where Taeyong and btm male reader are both leaders of nct and while doing the 24hr relay cam, fans see hickies on both of them. Flashback scene where they were getting heated in the living room and Johnny walks in on them during his own relay cam.
Warnings: NSFW, hickies, slight exhibitionism, bottom reader, general gay smut 🤷♂️
1:00 PM
“Hi Czennies! It’s my turn for the relay cam! The time is 1:00 right now.” Taeyong waves at the camera with a big grin on his face. Panning the camera over, he introduces his guest. “I know you don’t get to see y/nie and me together much since he’s usually busy leading his group, but he’s here today to keep me company while I work on some lyrics.”
“Hi guys. Taeyong isn’t gonna be talking much since he’s busy working on his music, so I’ll show you my outfit while he works.” Y/n takes the camera from Taeyong for the moment and sets it up far enough back to show off his entire outfit. “Today I’m wearing a comfy outfit since I have a break from schedules. I’m wearing my favorite jeans today and a hoodie for a boyfriend look since czennies always like that vibe the best. And czennies told me I look good when I wear my glasses, so I’m wearing that too. Oh and of course I’m wearing my friendship necklace with Taeyong like always! You can’t really see it under my hoodie though sorry guys.” Y/n has his hood on covering up the entirety of his neck. Unbeknownst to czennies, this was an intentional choice to hide the hickies Taeyong had left behind this morning. Taeyong pipes up from behind him “We should show czennie our necklaces together! I’m wearing mine right now too.”
Y/n freezes. “They’ve seen it before Hyung, I don’t think it will be interesting.” Something lights up in Taeyong when he realizes why y/n is hestitating to show the necklace. “Come here y/n, I wanna show them again anyway!” He reaches out and grabs y/n’s wrist yanking him over to the couch where he’s perched, causing y/n to fall into Taeyong’s lap. “Hyung wait!” he yells desperately trying to get out of Taeyong’s firm grasp. Taeyong reaches to unzip the hoodie and tease the younger member. His plan was to unzip it just enough to pull out the necklace without revealing anything else, but he doesn’t plan for the way y/n jerks away from him. Shit. The zipper stops well below y/n’s chest revealing the dark mark he left earlier. Not only that, but his twisting around in Taeyong’s lap caused his hoodie to ride up high enough to show the many many marks scattered across his abdomen. Y/n rolls off the couch at lighting speed and zips his hoodie back up and immediately starts forcing a laugh in the hopes that he can cover up the awkward moment. Taeyong follows suit and laughs at y/n, exclaiming “You’re so dramatic y/n, I was just trying to show them your necklace!” The pair is quick to move on with the video like normal and they pray the moment was quick enough that the camera didn’t actually capture anything.
2:05 PM
Y/n is curled up in Taeyong’s lap again soon after their relay cam together is posted to youtube. Both of them are extremely anxious to see if their mishap was noticeable at all. “Taeyong skip ahead! Faster!” It’s takes everything in him not to snatch the phone out of Tae’s hands and skip ahead himself. “Wait there! stop there! That’s when it happened.” The pair leans in close and watches intently sighing a breath of relief soon after when they see that the moment was extremely brief and they did a good job moving on like normal. “See? I bet they didn’t think anything of it y/n. It just looks like you got embarrassed because you fell into my lap and that’s all.” Y/n feels a little less sure than Taeyong though knowing how closely fans tend to watch and analyze their content. “Let’s look at the comments just to be sure.”
Scrolling through, most of the comments look normal. All saying things like:
“Taeyong is such a hard worker writing music even on his day off”
“It’s so rare to see our two leaders together!”
etc. Until one comment catches y/n’s eyes.
“Did anyone notice the bruise on y/n’s neck when he fell of the couch?”
the comment is quickly getting a lot of replies.
“omg it looks like a hickey!”
“no I bet SM is mistreating him, there seem to be more bruises all over his stomach too if you look closely”
“guys I put it in .5 speed and I noticed there’s a bruise on Taeyong too”
“Oh my god! Right after that weird Johnny relay cam too. What do you think they were doing 👀”
“Everyone be quiet. We shouldn’t speculate about these things”
“Guess they’re not really “friendship” necklaces guys”
Fuck. This might actually be a problem.
10:00 am (flashback scene ~ NSFW plot begins here)
“Fuck! Don’t stop Hyung!” y/n whines out as Taeyong bites down on his neck. Taeyong giggles at y/n being so needy. He wasn’t planning on getting freaky so early in the day, especially out in the open like this… but he couldn’t help but suck another mark into y/n’s neck when he heard how desperate the younger member sounded underneath him. It had started off innocent enough with the two of them cuddling on the living room couch watching a movie together while they waited their turn for the relay cam. Y/n had started it actually. Eager to finally spend some quality time with his favorite person on his day off, he’d began kissing Taeyong. Taeyong’s lips were soft and tasted sweet from the lip balm he’d applied first thing this morning. Y/n could never get sick of the feeling of kissing Taeyong, his beautiful, talented, sexy boyfriend. God, he loved this man to death.
Eventually growing impatient, he began sucking on Taeyong’s collarbone hoping to send Taeyong a silent message. It wasn’t long at all before Taeyong grabbed y/n’s waist and had him flipped on his back so he could hover over him to return the favor and suck some marks of his own into y/n’s neck. His lips began trailing lower and lower until he was sucking and biting down on y/n’s abs earning heavy breathing from him. “You want to keep going pretty boy? Johnny should be at the gym for a while longer with his relay cam.”
“Yes please” moans out y/n. He can feel Taeyong’s member jump as it’s pressed against his thigh. It’s no surprise y/n’s own dick grows hard at the sight of his boyfriend hovering over him looking eager as ever to fuck him right then and there in the living room. “Your wish is my command” he says, pressing another deep passionate kiss into y/n’s lips. He then replaces his lips with a finger, telling y/n to suck on it. “Let’s loosen you up” he whispers, moving his finger down toward y/n’s center—until the door swings open loudly.
“Aright made it back home czennie! I can’t believe I forgot my gym bag!” Both of them panic hearing his footsteps get closer. “Shit!” Taeyong grabs the closest throw blanket off the back of the couch and yanks it across their bodies hastily. “Oh hey guys! I didn’t think you’d be up yet. I forgot my bag” Johnny says, walking into the living room. “Everyone say h-” Johnny pauses his movement taking in the sight of the two boys in front of him, eyes darting to the way y/n’s chest is heaving up and down and then to the marks on both of their necks. “Um actually, I think y/n is still sleeping, so I’ll just let you guys see Taeyong and y/n later during their relay cam. I uh… think it’s at one. Let’s head back to the gym” He says blushing like crazy with embarassement. Taeyong mouths out thank you and Johnny turns and walks out as fast as he can.
“Um. Let’s move to your bedroom please?”
“Yeah… sorry y/n” Taeyong blushed.
The end.
ps. sorry the story kind of ends abruptly. I wrote this in a rush as per usual, and decided to just keep this one kind of short. Let me know if you guys would be interested in a part two or if you have any ideas! Thanks for reading :)

Name: Spoing
Debut: Super Mario Galaxy
Spoing is a jumping spider! Though it's not quite a jumping spider, you know? Like how a lynx is a big cat, but it's not a big cat. You know. But even so, I would like to express my appreciation to real jumping spiders! With their extra conventional cuteness, they capture the hearts of even people who are scared of other bugs, and as such are ambassadors for the rest of spiderkind. A gateway to appreciating some other creatures, which some fools may call "less charismatic", as if it is not charismatic to, for example, dangle a blob of silk to catch moths like a little fisherman. Anyway, as president, I will make sure all jumping spiders are compensated for their services. In dollars.
I don't know if I'm just saying this because I've been replaying Galaxy recently and have a sort of recency bias, but Spoing really might be one of the cutest Mario enemies ever! We all know, we all love, the eyes-in-a-void face! And on a BUG? Yowza! I've seen that kind of face on crabs and sometimes bagworms (I think?) but I'm not sure I've seen it on any other arthropod, and ESPECIALLY not a spider. I don't know how Spoing would hunt. Would it just shove prey into the eye void? Is it also a mouth? That would be pretty awesome.
You know, their faces make them look kind of like funny astronauts... and they only have four limbs, not eight. Are these truly spiders? Were they once human, until something unspeakable happened? And will it happen to me someday? I hope so!
Spoings mainly appear in Space Junk Galaxy, which I think we on the Weird Mario Enemies Office Pizza Party Email Chain all agree is a really great galaxy, with impeccable vibes. It's space at some of its most lonely, as opposed to spectacle, and I REALLY appreciate the presence of spiders here. Spiders and their webs are always used to visually communicate the idea of a place or object being unused, abandoned. And this galaxy is just a bunch of forgotten debris, not inhabited by any sapient civilization! If moths are the mascot of empty wallets, spiders are the mascots of forgotten attics! Spoings to not seem to make webs, which, yeah, actively hunting spiders do not! But they might make Sling Pods. And Sling Pod Galaxy is... well, I don't want to use this post to criticize a galaxy that precious spiders may have had a part in designing. So I will move on to...
Name: Spangler
Debut: Super Mario Galaxy
Spoing's got an evolutionary relative, and rather than being a spider boing, this is a spider dangler! It at first looks like a recolor of Spoing, but it actually lacks the fuzziness of Spoing's abdomen, and it DOES have a big ol' spinneret, which it is always using to dangle on a silk thread! One big one, like a really long string cheese. These ones debut in Ghostly Galaxy, indicating that they are spookier than the more generalized Spoings. Is it the silk? Is silk Spooky? It is what ends up encasing the spider's prey... like a MUMMY! Maybe I'm on to something here!
I really like Spoing and Spangler, and that both exist! It may be sort of the same design for two different enemy behaviors, but they're both behaviors that make sense for the design, and it's a design I always love to see. It's like they're closely related species! Maybe a population of Spanglers was separated from the others and ended up in the more barren Space Junk Galaxy, where there was not nearly as much infrastructure to dangle from, and where only active hunting was a viable strategy. And over time, Spoings evolved from this population! Actually, maybe they even use the Sling Pods for hunting, when we're not looking, launching themselves at unsuspecting prey...
And just to make sure we're not appreciating fictional creatures over real ones too much, I should tell you that there is, indeed, a spider that slingshots itself at prey using its web. Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. And it's often a spider's fault! The variety of ways in which different species use their silk is honestly one of the most incredible things in all of nature!

Could I request some soft nsfw with Reyes during his Blackwatch era? Like he and his gn s/o (who’s maybe in Ow or Bw, choose whatever <3) just decide to take it slow and soft after a day of missions and work?
(Love your Reaper fics and your work in general 😞🫶)
Morning Glory - Gabriel Reyes
Pairing: Gabriel Reyes x reader (no pronouns are used but reader has a pussy)
Genre: smut/nsfw
Word Count: 1.1k
Summary: your husband has no problem being late to work if he can bask in your morning glory just a little while longer
CW: established relationship (married), finger sucking, morning sex, unprotected sex, creampie, slight dom/sub vibes, just some wholesome sex I swear, only the teeniest tiniest bit of plot
hey!! thanks so much for this request 💓 ive been really soft for Reyes lately so I had a lot of fun writing this ^^ I did change it a tiny bit to fit better, I hope that’s okay & you still enjoy it!! hope you’re having a wonderful day hun
Gabriel laces his fingers through yours, flattening his palms and forcing your hands further into the mattress. His brown eyes are near black, pupils bloated with lust. The golden sun from the window behind him pools on the back of his head, looking like a halo in your early morning fog.
“How’re you feeling, angel?”
You whimper when his hips snap against yours again, the head of his cock brushing your cervix. That burning, searing knot inside of you only grows. You tighten your own grip, curling your nails into the skin on the backs of his rough hands.
He slows down, his dick painfully still inside of you. “Y/n,” he says in that same tone you’ve seen him use with his agents. “Use your words.”
“G—good.”
He smiles and rewards you with a kiss, pushing forward until his cock bottoms out inside of you. His hips roll into yours, the hard skin of his toned stomach brushing against the bare skin of yours. Your pussy flutters in response.
You sneak a glance at the alarm clock on your nightstand, the green LEDs reading dangerously close to the time you have to be at work. You squirm beneath your husband but the attempt is futile.
He kisses you once more, love and passion and the aftertaste of his protein shake flooding your mouth. The stubble on his face tickles yours, a grateful distraction from the assault on your pussy.
“Where’re you trying to go, hm?”
You bite your lip and blink at him through tears after a particularly deep thrust, as if he’s trying to emphasise his words with every motion. “We’re gonna be late for work,” you say. “I didn’t realize it was so late, we need to get ready—”
Gabriel pulls all the way out of you before slamming back in, your whole body quivering from the sudden intensity. You cry out, eyes and hands clenching shut. You’re only vaguely aware of him laughing above you in the aftershocks of your pleasure.
He releases your left hand, trailing his down to cup at your cheek. You flex your fingers awkwardly, the muscles stiff from the bruising grip he’s had on you all morning. He taps your face gently, prompting you to open your eyes.
“Work, work,” he taunts. His thrusts are slow once more, shallow and teasing as his cock barely dips into your heat. “I’ve been working all damn week. I can be late just once.”
He captures your lips in a ravenous kiss, teeth gnawing at your bottom lip until you submit and open wide for him. His tongue swirls around your mouth, tangling against yours, running along the backs of your teeth, feeling every part of you.
His other hand tightens against yours with another roll of his hips. His mouth is steady on yours while he rocks back into you, building up to a steady pace that finally starts to relieve the pressure you’ve felt all morning. Every movement of his cock, every forward motion, has your walls stretching apart, splitting open against his width in a way that has your eyes rolling back.
He pulls away from you, a string of spit connecting your lips until it splits in the centre and coats your lips. He flashes you a lusty smile, running his thumb across your swollen mouth to smear it even more. He loves you like this—all desperate and messy and whiny beneath him in the morning light.
You tilt your head to look at the alarm clock once more but he fucks into you harshly, his thrusts increasing to a pace that even he struggles to keep track of. His hand grips your chin tightly, forcing you to look at him.
“Eyes off the clock, angel.” His tone is kind but there’s a new desperation behind it, something telling you to just submit and let him use you.
You open your mouth to protest but he slips his thumb inside, running it over the ridges of your tongue. On reflex, you close your mouth and start sucking on it, circling your tongue around it the same way you did to his cock earlier this morning.
Gabriel smirks at you, as if remembering the same thing. His other hand finally releases yours—your fingers almost numb—and grabs your waist. He uses his grip as leverage to fuck into you deeper, faster. His fingers prod into your skin and drag you to him with every thrust, meeting him halfway every time.
His thrusts are so intense that you have no choice but to close your eyes, that unbearable heat in the base of your stomach threatening to explode at any second. Your toes curl into themselves at an especially harsh thrust, stinging waves of pleasure racing up your spine until you feel dizzy.
You cry out for him, your still sore fingers lacing through the dark strands of his hair and tugging hard. He pulls his thumb out of your mouth with a pop, cleaning it off in his own mouth before placing it on your waist to mirror his other hand.
“Fuck, I missed you.” He babbles, “feel like I haven’t gotten to fuck you in forever, baby. Missed this pussy.”
You nod along with his words, but through the intense thrum of pleasure filling your ears, you hardly hear what he’s saying. You tighten your grip and arch your back, trying to angle him deeper. Gabriel follows your motion, pressing a firm hand down on your stomach, palming his cock through your skin.
He grunts at the feeling, only spurring himself further until he’s pistoning in and out of you, your walls fluttering around him in warning. Heat washes over your entire body, sweat starting to slick your temples. He presses soft kisses to your lips, grinding himself so deep into you that it almost hurts, and then your orgasm washes through you.
You clench, every muscle in your body tightening as pleasure takes over completely. Your pussy squeezes his cock, stilling his movements and sending him over the edge with you. Hot ropes of cum flood your pussy, Gabriel grabbing your face tightly and kissing you with all the desperation in the world.
You pant into the kiss, finally relaxing and letting your body drop into the mattress. Your ears ring and blackspots dance across your vision, but the feeling of your husband’s cock filling you up, his rough lips on yours, are incomparable.
Gabriel is sweating by the time he’s sliding out of you, the gushing combination of your slick and his cum running out of your pussy and staining the sheets. You look at it with a frown—you’ll have to wash those later.
He rolls off of you and glances at your alarm clock. “Wow,” he says, voice hoarse. “We’re gonna be really late for work.”
You fix him with a glare. “No kidding.”
He smiles sheepishly, though you know better than anyone he has no regrets. None whatsoever.

How To Make Two Lovers Of Friends
Words: 11,569
Synopsis:
Aizawa is taking a much-needed break after the war with Shigaraki and All For One. He isn't looking for anything in particular; that is, until he spots you in a goth themed coffee house. A whirlwind romance ensues in this one shot, filled to the brim with sexual tension, fluff, and smut.
Alternative/goth fem! Reader
Fair warning, this one is the first fic I'd ever written, so it isn't my best work. It does hold a special place in my heart though and I hope it's enjoyable for someone!
Morning light came dappled through the windows as you took your favorite seat at the coffee house, just like you did every morning to start your day. This coffee shop went by the name Bauhaus; probably a nonsequedor to most, but a familiar homage to a band for you. It had this witchy aesthetic, filled with books and old vinyls that made you feel at peace. You never really saw places like this when you still lived in America, at least not in your neck of the woods. How absolutely lucky that you lived just a few blocks away!
You ordered yourself the special for this month: The Headless Horseman, an iced pumpkin and caramel breve to celebrate the upcoming fall season, a welcome respite from the August heat. Smoothing away the creases on your black velvet dress, you thanked the barista, who you typically made small talk with but were not quite on a first name basis with just yet, and took your seat once again to finish reading your book. The leaves rattled in the wind outside and rapped against the building like old bones in a wooden sarcophagus.
"A storm is coming soon," you say quietly to yourself.
Gentle thunder thrums in the distance like the soft beating of a lambskin drum, and a small grin makes itself at home on your lips.
Perfect reading weather.
Adjusting yourself on the bench beneath your legs, your mouth curved at the edges, eliciting a slight hum from your lips.
Ah.
Spooky, scary peace.
Outside the confines of the coffee house, though, the weather was much less enjoyable. The heroes Eraserhead and Present Mic both trudged through heavy raindrops, soaked like wet dogs, caught off guard by the sudden change in weather. Aizawa scowled at his mess of dark hair getting drenched.
"Damn, this weather is nasty!" Said Mic, voice unintentionally booming.
He looked around and scouted for shelter as the thunder rolled, and settled on the closest bit of light he could see, pointing his finger at Bauhaus so as to motion for Aizawa to head that way.
They stopped at the overhang to dry off a bit before entering when Aizawa got a peek inside the shop. He took note of the band posters and bookshelves littering the walls, the violet-hued plants hanging from the ceiling and shelves, the generally alternative vibe that exuded from the place.
"I don't know, Hizashi," he stated hesitantly, shifting his weight to his good leg.
"What's the big deal? It's not like you'll look out of place," Hizashi was frank, opening the door with no apprehension. He gave a quick chuckle that sounded like taps on a hot microphone.
It was true, Aizawa typically dressed in all black. Now that he was taking a break, though, he didn't always have his capture weapon on him. He was instead accompanied by a patch over his eye and a prosthetic leg. He felt like he usually stood out like a sore thumb these days, which was problematic for someone who had always tried to keep such a low profile in the past.
Aizawa fiddled with his eyepatch and thought about how nice it would be to blend in once more. He had always tried to stay out of the spotlight, but after the intense battle with Shigaraki, it was harder to avoid the media. Maybe a place like this wasn't such a bad idea. He continued to zone out as Mic spoke much too loudly for the space they were in, as usual, and talked (mostly to himself) about if he should get a coffee or a smoothie.
Aizawa grew slightly embarrassed by his friend's actions as he looked around the room to see if his boisterous voice was bothering the other patrons. It was 6am, still early, so Bauhaus was lingering with the vestiges of sleep, waking with the rest of Musutafu. There was a green haired person on their laptop in the back corner, tucked away, uninvolved in the rest of the shop and seemingly unbothered. Empty seats. A full cup on a table that meant someone would be right back.
Then there was you.
Right beneath the window seat near the front of the shop, a purple vining plant hanging above you, crushed velvet bell sleeves rested upon the table as your fingers gripped the pages of a well-worn copy of To Kill a Mockingbird. Your face was aglow like the moon, scattered with a few freckles that danced across rosy cheeks, long lashes that arched over your half-lidded eyes. The bass of the music swelling over the speakers seemed to engulf Aizawa, thumping in his head, your silken locks being brushed to settle behind your ear as his mouth suddenly dried.
Then, as if on que, you looked up at him just in time for him to hear "oh Lucretia, my reflection", and everything seemed to stand still. He could feel his pulse in his fingertips. You had these gorgeous doe eyes, these pouty little lips that gave a gamine smile to him while he held his gaze for much too long, he was sure of it. You were a vision. A blooming Queen Of The Night. A siren out in the storm.
"Quit staring at her and tell me what you want to drink!"
Aizawa was snapped out of his delusion. Flustered at the comment, he groaned, his eye twitching. Unwilling to break the eye contact with you just yet, your smile grew, and you exchanged glances with him again, causing pink heat to bloom over his face. You sat down your book and made your posture more swanlike as you maintained eye contact with him. His breath hitched at this.
You snuck looks at him for the rest of the time the two were in the shop. You weren't enough of a go-getter to approach him--nor were you brave enough to blatantly ask him out--but you really hoped that maybe he would come in again.
————
As mortified as he was by Mic's statement, he knew he had to try to see you again.
Not because he wanted to get to know you or anything.
No.
You just seemed... interesting. You seemed interesting and he felt very comfortable in Bauhaus. In fact, it probably had very little to do with you at all. He was more than likely just transferring these feelings of comfort onto you. After all, it's been a while since he's been able to go out and not feel like he was the one being stared at.
Yes.
This is rational.
This is why he needed to go back. You were just there by happenstance.
Every single weekday morning--and on weekends when he wasn't watching Eri--for an entire month, he was at the shop.
That's just how comfortable he was there. That's how good their plain black coffee was. That's what it meant to have a routine.
It was just a coincidence that he couldn't help but to notice you.
You were always there in that same cozy nook. Some days you were dressed in a band t-shirt and jeans. Some days you were in a plaid skirt and combat boots. Some days you were in a mossy green dress that went to the floor. Some days you wore causal yoga pants that were surely comfortable but made him sweat like a sinner in church. He never knew what exactly he would see you in next, but it was usually the same kind of style. And you always had a book to read, which Aizawa greatly admired. You were studious and attentive with your literature, but also a little bit goofy, judging by the laughter between you and the barista when you picked up your drinks.
But he had also come to find that you were very kind. Although you didn't appear to be a hero, you helped in other ways. You would pay for people's orders if they didn't have enough to cover their purchase. Twice, he watched you pay for the food of a homeless man, and then you sat with this man as an equal, outside on the curb, as the two of you ate breakfast sandwiches and talked. You were softspoken and gentle in your manner of speech, making him feel as though you were reading him to sleep as you talked between bites of food.
He noticed you had the biggest soft spot for animals, though.
You would watch out the window at around 6:15 to see if your little cat friend would show up that day. You would give them a drink of water from your own bottle and cap, offer them bits of bread and meat, and coo at them in a lovely sing-song voice as they ate. The cat didn't want to be touched, they were scarred and matted all to hell; but you were patient every single time. What a beautiful soul you seemed to have.
Aizawa was normally pessimistic, but you made him feel hopeful in humanity. He was certain that you had flaws, as people do, but your acts of kindness always made sure he had a good start to his day. He was always ready to protect you if you ever needed it. The world could use more good people, after all.
One morning in particular, as Aizawa picked up his drink, he noticed a man lazily stroll up to you at your regular nook. This happened to you every so often now that you were in Japan. You were approached by men, and very occasionally other women, maybe a handful of times in your entire life back in the United States. Your best guess is that here you were considered "exotic" since you looked different from most. You almost never saw someone with features like yours, and you were certainly taller than most of the women here, with noticeably longer limbs; all things that weren't exactly beauty standards in America but seemed to garner attention in Japan.
Unfortunately, the attention wasn't usually the kind that you enjoyed, and this guy was no different. He was dressed in an athletic shirt and basketball shorts. Not that you were one to judge, because hell, sometimes you showed up in pastels if the mood so struck you. People weren't bound to the confines of fashion. However, in your experience, men dressed in this clothing who came into Bauhaus tended to be... unsavory. Usually someone looking to fulfill their fetishes.
"Ooo, Cara Mia," he taunted as he approached you.
An Addams Family reference would have otherwise been right up your alley, but when he said the quote, it felt icky somehow. You knew he had to have kept this line in his back pocket regardless of who he came across, anyway. You were in a long sleeved sheer top with a lavender camisole and pair of black bell bottoms. More Stevie Nicks than Morticia Addams. So you did the rational thing and ignored him. You weren't there to be someone's Big Tiddy Goth Girlfriend.
He didn't like that much.
"Hey. I'm talking to you," he spat his words at you with barely concealed contempt.
"I heard you," you flicked your eyes up at him sharply.
Aizawa's body tensed in preparation to spring into action, taking a step forward in your direction. Who the fuck did this guy think he was?
"I was just being nice. Not like anyone else is going to talk to your ugly old ass," his words were meant to bite at you, but you didn't budge.
"Old? Why, because I dared to live past 16? God, you are disgusting," you sat down your book and shook your head disapprovingly, "creeps like you are always projecting your own insecurities. How sad for you. Fuck off,"
He looked shocked, furious, like he was about to scream something in your face--but stopped abruptly when you started to hum. It was a haunting melody, something akin to a nocturne.
"I think you should go now," you stated plainly.
With this, the man walked out the door in what appeared to be a fugue-like state. And you calmly went back to your book.
Huh. Maybe you didn't need Aizawa's protection.
You just kept getting more and more intriguing.
On his fourth straight week of coming in, a Friday in early September, you decided to finally talk to him since it seemed like you were both regular patrons of the shop now. You made sure to finger-comb your hair before you turned to look at him. He was in his usual black on black sweatpants and sweatshirt, this time with his hair pulled back to reveal his jawline. He was very handsome, you thought.
"Hey there, you," you said after he placed his order of a single black coffee.
He turned around, a bit shocked at the sudden start of such a casual conversation.
"I see you in here a lot lately. I'm not sure if you have the time, but would you like to come sit with me?"
You smiled delicately in an attempt to seem welcoming.
"It would be nice to have some company for a change," you say.
His dark eye bore into you like a bullet coming straight for your gaze. After a moment of collecting his words, he finally settled on replying back:
"Yeah, sure. That would be fine,"
Aizawa tried his best to remain calm and cool, stoic even, refusing to let something so nonchalant shake him.
However, truth be told, you felt a bit shaken yourself. You weren't sure if he would accept your offer or reject it and then stop coming in. You could be so straightforward sometimes, and you felt like you could accidentally make things awkward. But you had a feeling he might at least be interested in getting to know you after your initial interaction with him.
You introduce yourself as you stirred your latte with a tiny silver spoon.
"Shota Aizawa," he gave in return.
"Nice to finally meet you," you say with a slight tease in your inflection and a mischievous look.
A blush crept across his face. God, of course you remembered when you two first saw one another. It felt as if he were sitting on pins and needles thinking about it.
"Do you like sitting under the stars?" You ask to cut the silence.
Aizawa looked perplexed. It seemed like an odd thing to ask him. Maybe you liked the outdoors?
"I've never actually been camping. Never really seemed that fun to me," he was eager to continue talking to you, though he wasn't sure exactly why.
You had this glint in your eye, like you knew the punchline to a joke you hadn't even told yet, along with a playful smile. Setting down your cup, you pointed up. That's when he noticed that the ceiling was matte black and painted with silver glittering stars.
"It's one of my favorite things about coming here," you disclosed this information to him, almost as if it were a secret.
It was then that he knew for sure that you weren't like most people.
You two met like this, discussing books and hobbies and music, for another month and a half. Every morning at 6am you could expect to see him waiting at Bauhaus for you, rain or shine. You would get some kind of breve or latte and he would get a strongly brewed black coffee. Sometimes you spoke for an hour before one of you had to go, sometimes you two were there until you were both hungry for lunch. Although the days all started at Bauhaus, occasionally, the day would take the two of you to a nearby ramen shop, a corner store, or a short walk down the block. Anywhere you wanted to go, he was there.
————
He now knew that you liked horror movies and would read just about anything you could get your hands on, that you loved animals, you moved here two years ago to help with the mental health crisis in Japan as a grief counselor, and you thoroughly enjoyed humor.
You came to know that he liked cats, was a teacher, liked the smell of rain, he was generally pretty introverted, read comic books as a kid, and had a liking for dark jokes. He had mentioned that he was a hero, a pro hero actually, when the shop was empty one morning. You said that was "so cool" and beamed with pride that you knew him, but you seemed unfamiliar with the Erasure Hero.
You continued to treat him exactly the same.
This was mesmerizing to Aizawa.
Today was one of the days that stretched on like a sleeping cat in a sunny patch. You'd already met once in the morning, breaked for work, and then met again in the late evening. The golden-hour sun was pouring in its warm light, backing you like some kind of seraphem, and painting him in a spreading halo of honeyed peach. The way the flecks of rainbow from the slanted glass flitted over his skin bewitched you.
And you, there at your place, drenched in marigold light that kissed down upon your flawless skin, made him shudder. Your eyes nearly glowed in the light. You appeared fragile, breakable, like spun glass; though he knew you were sturdier than your languid demeanor would let on.
He stuffed down the feelings he was starting to have for you like a snake eating a too large mouse. This was more than just lust, infatuation, or attraction. As scary as it was, he liked you. The butterflies stirred in his belly when you called his name from your window nook and the moths fluttered in yours when he said "I thought I might find you here, y/n," with the slightest upturn of his mouth. You were both nervous about this tension that was building between the two of you, but he was more reserved, whereas you tended to wear your heart on your sleeve. You knew that you would have to be the one to address it.
"Aizawa," you say to him, circling the rim of your cup with your fingertip as you place your other hand in front of his on the table, "I have some errands to run tomorrow... would you maybe want to come with me? It can be hard for me to carry heavy things all the way into my place on my own, and I really want to get some pumpkins to carve,"
This seemed utilitarian enough that he might feel more at ease accepting the invitation, but still deliciously domestic.
Aizawa felt the breath leave his lungs. Going to a pumpkin patch? Carving pumpkins? Like a cute little date?
"You don't have to, if you don't have the time," you stated reassuringly.
"Oh, no. It's nothing like that," His voice broke as he uttered out an answer, "I can go. I'll make the time if I don't have it,"
"Great! Can we meet up around 10?"
"I'll be there,"
"You always are,"
The air hung around the two of you with a lightness for a few seconds. Aizawa could see his reflection in your big glass-like eyes, causing his heart to beat wildly in his chest. You gave a small laugh, crinkling your nose, very aware of the closeness of your faces. He felt like maybe he should kiss you. But did you even like him that way? You could just be friendly and kissing you would be a huge mistake. Everything would come crashing down if he did that. Your trust would be gone. You would be gone. He couldn't take that risk.
But oh, how you wanted him to lean in and touch his lips to your own. You wondered how his stubble would feel against your skin, and if he would taste like that black coffee he was always sipping on. A knot formed in your stomach, this familiar aching, a longing, a fear of the unknown feelings he had for you, and excitement that he might feel the same way. How long had it been since you felt this way? Was it ever this intense?
You bit your bottom lip in anticipation, your heart racing. You could feel that something was bubbling up. Something was about to happen. You were going to lean in closer when the door to the coffee house flew open, and in walked Hizashi.
"I thought I'd find you here, Eraser! You sure love this place lately!" His voice nearly shook the entryway.
Tension gone.
Goodbye, mood.
Aizawa sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, fully aware that Mic was about to say something daft.
"Watcha got here?" Mic asked enthusiastically, gesturing toward you with a gloved hand, "Shota, do you have a girlfriend you never told me about?"
Fucking Mic.
Aizawa looked pale, sick even.
Of course he wanted you to be his girlfriend. Especially when he was about to go to sleep, or saw some stuffed animal he knew you would like, or when he was in the shower and thinking of how he'd like to see those sultry eyes looking up at him as you put your mouth on his...
"Hizashi, for someone who's entire Quirk is based on sound, you are so damn tonedeaf," Aizawa cut his thoughts loose with this retort.
"Woah, easy there," Mic continued, "I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. If you guys aren't hooking up, how about I shoot my shot then?" He waggled his brows at you.
Aizawa gritted his teeth and his eye twitched. Like a deer in the headlights, stunned at this brazen show of complete and total assclownery, he sat still in his seat as Hizashi made fools of them both. The lanky devil just didn't know when to stop tap dancing on his last nerve.
Present Mic leaned over the table as you furrowed your brow in response.
"Wanna see why they call me Magic Mic?" He gave a wide grin with this question.
You made a sound somewhere between a scoff and a laugh.
"Why, did I pique your interest when you saw me bathing on the roof? Did my beauty and the moonlight overthrow you?"
"Bathing on the roof, you say!" Another waggle.
"Careful there, Sisyphus. That boulder's heavier than it looks," you chime back, scribbling something on a napkin.
Aizawa was amused at your quip. It was impressive how quick on your feet you were in conversation, and how well you handled yourself. He knew that Mic was blabbering on in the background, something about alternative chicks and their spicy attitudes, but he couldn't concentrate on anything other than you.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Aizawa," you stated while getting up from your seat, "here's my number. Text me and I'll send you my address so you can meet me at my place, okay?"
Aizawa swallowed the lump in his throat and then nodded in agreement. He took the napkin in his hand and noticed you put a little heart next to your number.
Fuck.
Please let this be a date.
————
The next morning, at 10am sharp, Aizawa reached the front door to your apartment. He didn't even need to look at the number when he saw the fall wreath, covered in leaves and mini pumpkins, suspended from its metal hook. He slicked back his raven hair with his palms, attempting to keep his locks captured in a ponytail, all the while his stomach churned in anticipation. He gave a knock at the door, and you were there almost immediately. Had you been waiting for him?
In reality, yes, you had been. You were ready by 9:30 and then paced around your room before you sat by the door and waited for him to show up. You gave him a big grin as you greeted him, admiring his forearms with his sleeves rolled up. You looked him over, half covered in the shade of your awning, hair pulled back, his trim figure cut well in his dark jeans and gray sweater. Oh my god, he even shaved! That was so cute to you. He shaved for your pumpkin patch adventure. You swooned and felt that tension in your belly build back up. It made you feel like a teenager again, having a crush like that. You kicked at some rocks on your porch in a bashful display.
God how he wanted to put his hands on you when he saw you stepping out of your doorway. You were wearing a burnt orange sundress, a black cardigan with pumpkins lining the bodice, thigh high black pantihose, with black Mary Janes and a wide-brimmed felt hat. You always knew what flattered your figure, what colors brought out your eyes and complimented your skintone. He felt so typical, like such a stereotype, because that sundress was doing something for him.
"You okay with me driving?" You asked, taking a step closer to him.
He tensed at the prospect of being touched by you, and nodded in agreement. Grabbing your keyfob, you pressed twice to start your vehicle, a completely black car with darkly tinted windows. It was very bold, very dark, and very you.
"You can mess with the volume however you'd like. I don't mind," you told him as you started flipping through your music on the car's touchscreen radio.
Aizawa took note of how eclectic your music was. You seemed to like songs with lots of bass and rumble, and you listened to plenty of Sisters of Mercy, but you also had music that took him off guard: hyper-pop, musical numbers, heavy metal--a smorgasbord of songs on a hodgepodge of a playlist. He could never quite pin you down. As soon as he thought he knew your next move, you pulled an Uno Reverse card, and it was enthralling. He liked a challenge.
He was captured by you as you settled on Love Me by The 1975 and enthusiastically sang along to every word, miming exaggerated faces when the beat picked up. You rolled the windows down and threw your hat in the back seat to feel the wind through your hair.
You glanced over at him briefly as you sang, smiling, glowing, just letting loose with him in a way that felt more intimate than he would've imagined a car ride could feel. Your hair flipped, twisting around your face in the breeze.
He noticed how careful you were with your car, how gingerly you braked at stoplights, and joked "I think my grandpa might actually drive faster than you do,"
"Hey," you replied "I pay a lot of money for this car," you felt a bit embarrassed tagging on the next part of "besides.. it's important to follow traffic laws."
He couldn't help but admire how pragmatic you were about this. You were so soft. Willing to stand up for yourself, but always making sure everyone else was safe. You had a hero heart.
You went back to singing to music, this time Can't Hold Me by Emily King. You always seemed so in your element when music was involved.
"You have a really nice voice," Aizawa stated without thinking. It rolled off of his tongue in an easy sort of way that didn't normally come naturally to him.
"Oh, thanks. It's part of my quirk I guess,"
"You have a quirk?" It was more of a statement than a question. He was pretty positive he'd already seen your quirk in action.
"Well, yeah; but I don't use it much. It's one of those quirks that when you tell people about it they think you're a villain," your voice trailed off a bit and he looked at you with one raised brow.
A sigh escaped your lips.
"If I sing a certain melody, I can make people do whatever I want. They become really pliable and easy to manipulate. But I can only use it on one person at a time, and it's only the one song, and you would know if I was using it," you tried your best to make sure he knew you weren't using it to make him talk to you, or to make him come with you today.
"Quirks are what you make of them. And I don't think that you would ever purposefully hurt someone, y/n. You're better than that,"
On impulse, upon parking the car at the pumpkin patch, you grabbed his hand with Eat Sleep Wake by Bombay Bicycle Club playing softly in the background. The first real physical contact you two had that wasn't accidental. It was warm, and sweet, and electric. Breathing felt like there was a weight on your chest when you realized what happened, and it caught in your throat when he squeezed your hand back.
Eat.
Sleep.
Wake.
Nothing but you.
God, please just kiss me, you thought. Kiss me. Better yet, take me into this pumpkin patch and peel these pantihose off with your teeth. You were getting to the point where all of this constant winding you up had you wanting him to fuck you absolutely stupid.
Aizawa felt warm, feverish. Like he was going to melt through the seat of the car and burn to cinders on the ground. He was smoldering like a pile of ash in your hand. Goddamn it was hard to concentrate now. Where was he at? Was there a world around the two of you? Did he even care? He wasn't sure if it was right to think of you like this, though, and it happened nearly every day since meeting you. That part of him had been lying dormant for what felt like years and now suddenly these feelings were coming for him with a vengeance. He wasn't sure what to do.
"We should.. we should grab some pumpkins. Do you... like the lumpy ones?"
Shit. Did he really just ask you that? God, you must have thought he was stupid.
But you didn't. You were eating this up.
"Dude. I love me a lumpy pumpkin," was your reply.
The two of you took in the crisp autumn air and October's bright blue sky as you sipped on a warm apple cider from the drink stand. Much to his initial disapproval, you finally got him to take a sip from your cup. His heart skipped a beat drinking from the same spout where your mouth had been just a few seconds prior. You took two small pumpkins from the display they had on top of some hay bales, slipped them into a big burlap tote bag, and then headed to the field to pick out bigger pumpkins for carving.
"Do you think frogs have friends?"
"I... what?"
He wasn't sure if you were being genuine with this question.
"Well, cows make friends, and.. I don't know, I was just thinking about how maybe when frogs start to get ready for the cold weather, they find another frog that they like, and then they hibernate next to them in the mud," your statement was matter-of-fact, "or I guess technically the frogs we have here go into a state of topor, not full hibernation. But still,"
Aizawa was taken aback at this topic. You were actually wondering about the loneliness of amphibians.
"Y/n, I don't think frogs get lonely. I doubt they have high enough brain functioning to care,"
"Or maybe they do, and we'll never know, because nobody stopped to find out,"
He enjoyed that you always spoke your mind. Even if someone didn't like what you had to say, you just started a conversation based on whatever thoughts you had in your head. You were smart, but whimsical. It was so easy to talk to you and have a logical dialogue without feeling like it was getting stale.
You kicked at rocks, marveled at the fall leaves, and had this general sense of wonder. Aizawa found it fascinating how dichotomous you were. You were kind of mysterious, but you still had this youthful charm about you. He found himself to be more apathetic than anything. It wasn't necessarily that he didn't see the beauty in the things around him, he just didn't tend to pay attention at all. He was always burning the candle at both ends and pushing himself to his absolute limits, so what was the point? Who cared of frogs had friends?
"I wish I shared your passion for life," he commented.
"My grandparents were like this, and they raised me, so I guess it rubbed off. Actually, they're kind of why I came here. My grandpa always spoke about how beautiful Okinawa was. After they passed, I jumped at the opportunity to come see Japan for myself,"
You hadn't talked about anything that wasn't skin deep in what seemed like an eternity, and you felt like he was really listening, processing your words.
"Oh!" You stopped in your tracks, "I can't believe I forgot to give you this,"
From the bottom of your burlap sack, you pulled out a bag of salty black licorice.
"This is for you,"
His favorite snack.
Aizawa reached out his hand and took it delicately, as if it were precious to him.
"How did you know?"
"I saw you eyeing some once at a corner store. When I saw they had some here, I had to get it for you. They make it in house, so I bet it's delicious!" You sounded so excited over a bag of licorice.
Feeling a bit silly over frogs and candy, you blushed, cheeks already slightly ruddy from all of the walking.
"But we should probably go back to picking out some pumpkins, I guess," your words came out much smaller than you intended them to.
His heart swelled. You were paying attention to him, too.
The gourds were all shapes and sizes, all the colors from striking persimmon to pale yellow, from perfectly round to as lumpy as the night was long.
Clearly, you picked the lumpiest.
Loading your goods into the car, a flash of color at another stand caught Aizawa's eye.
"You stay here. I'll be right back," he commanded.
"Okay. Just let me know if you want any help,"
The stand was full of handmade trinkets: wooden hair combs, decorative mirrors with widdled handles, and silk kimonos. One garment stood out to him--emerald green with goldenrod flowers patterned over it--that, for some reason, made him think of frogs. This would do nicely.
Upon his return, he found that he really wasn't sure how to give you a gift. This was certainly not his forte. He couldn't even remember the last time he gave someone a present. Then again, he couldn't recall that last time he had received one before this day, either. Besides, you were worth the uncomfortability.
He opened his mouth to speak, but the words wouldn't form. You looked slightly amused, which made him even more nervous.
"I have something for you. To repay you for the gift you gave me earlier," his voice uttered out much smaller than he remembered.
The joy that spread from cheek to cheek was practically tangible for him as he handed you the paper bag. Your eyes were alight like fireworks.
"You got me a present?"
You felt a fluttering in your chest. You didn't even care what it was, he explicitly thought of you, and that made you happy in earnest.
The container was compact enough that you figured there was some kind of candy to be retrieved from it, but you opened it to see green and yellow fabric. You were stunned when you recognized it from the stand you two had passed on your way out. It had to have been expensive.
"Aizawa.. this is too much. I-I can't accept this," you stammered.
"Yes you can. Like I said, it's for the licorice,"
"This isn't exactly in the same category as candy, though, I--"
"Just try it on," he interrupted you, his hand raised as if to stop any further protesting.
And you thought about protesting--you really did--but caved, knowing he wouldn't give up until you accepted it. Your attempts to dispute his gift would be futile. So you marveled at the silk garment, feeling its slick material between your fingers. You'd never owned something like this before. You took off your cardigan and draped the kimono over your body, savoring how soft and airy it was on your skin, feeling like a princess.
"I'm not sure if this is a color you like, so if you don't like it, we can go exchange it," his voice had a hushed tone.
Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes.
"No. No, it's perfect. I absolutely love it. Thank you so much, this was so sweet of you," your words rang out like a bell.
The breeze picked up and blew the soft locks of your hair as you stood there in your gown, picturesque, cottony clouds lining the skies.
You looked like a painting.
"Alright then," you said with vigor, "takoyaki is on me!"
————
When you returned home, you carved Aizawa's pumpkin together (a very classic orange pumpkin, perfect for Jack O Lanterns), swatting your cats off of the counter as they came to sniff at the seedy innards laid out on a sheet of parchment paper. You felt at home like this. You felt safe, content, like this is how life was meant to be.
You watched him as he placed the carved Jack O Lantern out on your porch, and took notice of the strands of raven hair that were falling out of his messy bun, delicately sweeping over his strong jaw and neck. The knot in your stomach returned, and with it came a sensation like you were on the downhill slope of a rollercoaster. It was a feeling of passion welling up inside of you, ready to tear open at your seams.
And you wanted more.
You wanted him to want you.
Worried that he might go home now that the sun had set, you asked if he would want to watch a movie with you. He was elated at the idea of cuddling up with you on the couch. How could he say no to that?
"Okay. What did you have in mind?"
"Have you ever watched Hocus Pocus?"
"No, never heard of it,"
"What?! It's a Halloween classic! I'll change into some house clothes and then we'll get started. Be right back, Shota,"
A chill ran down his spine, prickling the back of his neck at the sound of you saying his name. You called him Shota. And now you were comfortable enough with him to change into pajamas. He felt almost floaty.
Aizawa was expecting you to come out in sweatpants and a t-shirt, something comfy, something plain. He enjoyed the prospect of you coming out in soft pants and fuzzy socks. There was something so heartwarming and cozy about it that he--holy fucking shit.
You came out, as casual as humanly possible, in a pair of tiny little sleeping shorts and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles t-shirt with no bra. The shirt was soft, but snug, and showed off every curve of your body through the semi-sheer fabric. He had already gotten a good look (or ten) at your ass in a nice pair of pants, but this.. were you trying to kill him? You were already all legs, and now the shorts... Aizawa scanned your body to see that you were wearing stockings that hugged your legs and made divots in the plush flesh of your upper thighs. They were Ninja Turtle green and woven like a tubesock.
Of course you were wearing these fuck me socks. That way, you could definitely say that you were completely covered from head to toe, that these were normal house clothes. Nothing here but regular old pajamas. And look, see, you totally did like green!
Your couch was small, but Aizawa sat on one end, hoping that you would sit alllll the way on the other end so that he could curl up as much as possible and you wouldn't see... things. But you weren't having it. You wanted to be able to cut the tension with a knife. You wanted to make sure this sexual frustration was palpable until it drove him to action. So you snuggled up next to him and rested your head on his chest.
He took notice that the shorts nearly disappeared when you sat down, and thought about what they might look like if you were bending over. Your tits looked great through your clothes, but your ass drove him wild. He wished for the TV to mess up somehow so you would have to get down on all fours to fix it, maybe even spread your legs just enough that your sex would peek over the side of the material, sopping and messy and begging for him.
Oh lord Jesus, Vishnu, Thor, whoever the fuck was up there just give him strength. Give his waistband extra elasticity and give his poor heart a rest so that maybe you wouldn't hear it pounding through his chest. But you did hear it. You knew exactly what you were doing when you placed your hand on his thigh and traced your fingertips down to his knee while you stared ahead at the TV screen.
Under the guise of laughing at a witch riding a vacuum cleaner, you squeezed his leg, and he jumped in his seat.
Oh.
This was torture for him.
And you liked that.
A lot.
He made a pathetic attempt to stealthily lean into you, just enough so that he could get a better whiff of your hair. You smelled like vanilla and something a little floral and spicy, like a jasmine rice desert. The thought crossed his mind that you might taste just as sweet.
"Doing okay, Shota?" Your voice this time was chesty, sensual, almost like an invitation rather than a question, and you could feel him shudder in response.
There it was again. Shota. He fucking loved the way his name dripped from your lips like honey. He nodded in agreement and you patted his leg to let him know you felt the nod.
You could feel your shorts heating up and your breathing changing pace when you heard him let out little sputters of air at your touch. It was intoxicating, hearing him get excited, smelling the sweat building between the two of you in this blissful hell of your own making.
Small beads of liquid made a wet spot up near his waistband while he took in your body heat, trying his best to focus on the screen and not the friction of you against him, or the fact that he could see your nipples plainly through your shirt. Readjusting yourself, you stretched and let out a whine in the process, and your elbow brushed up against something in his lap.
With a quick grunt, he stood up suddenly, and said "I need to use the restroom. I'll be right back,"
You gave him an "okay", and paused the movie for him. Maybe it was just in your imagination, but you could swear you saw a tent in his pants when he got up.
What you wouldn't give to toy with him for just a little while longer.
He shuts the door behind him slowly, calmly, before he's pawing at the buttons of his pants. A curse leaves his lips as he wrestles his leaking member from the confines of his boxers.
"Little fucking cocktease," he grits, burying the words into his lower lip.
God, he just couldn't take it anymore. He thought about you moaning, whining, mewling into his ear, your bodies entangling. How would he take you? If he had the option, he thinks he'd really like to watch you ride his cock, see the look on your face when you take all of him inside of you.
"Gonna have you begging for it. Fuck, do you even know what you do to me?" His voice trails into a groan, and he folds forward, bucking into his hand and holding onto the sink to steady himself.
A few whispers of your name fall from his lips, and he swipes at the slit of his aching length, smearing his precum along his shaft for lubrication. He's close. In an embarrassingly short amount of time, he's already feeling that knot within him frayed, about to snap. Just a few more strokes and he's jerking back his head, ropes of his release now dripping across his palm.
He finished in record time, expecting to have a sense of relief, but only finding that he craved more. Guilt took ahold of him when the thought crossed his mind that he shouldn't be thinking of you this way. This was so shameful, what he just did, making his hand all sticky from thinking of you. He rinsed his face with cool water to get rid of some of the sweat, and exited, stating that he needed to head home due to not feeling well.
Your heart sank, and the realization hit you that you may have made him uneasy with your forwardness. Maybe he didn't like you that way after all. You hoped that you hadn't just ruined things between the two of you.
Aizawa didn't want to hurt your feelings, and he could tell that he probably did; but he needed to get out of your apartment before he bent you over the couch.
So he left your place after an entire 12 hours together, beating himself up for not making a move, harboring resentment for his own lack of initiative. He was used to coming after villains, but this whole "love" thing really scared him. Love? He mulled the word over in his head. Worried it between his teeth. You two hadn't spent a single day without seeing each other in like two months. And he sure as hell didn't see himself picking out pumpkins with Hizashi any time soon.
He laid there in bed, trying his best to fall asleep, but the day just replayed in his head on a loop. His mattress was normally soft and welcoming, something that could easily lull him to sleep, but tonight it felt empty. Tonight, he felt alone. Until his phone buzzed from his nightstand.
You: is it too soon to text you?
Him: it's never too soon for you to talk to me.
You: good :) I was worried when you left in such a hurry.
You: and I miss you already.
Aizawa sat up in bed after reading your most recent message. You... missed him. He wasn't sure if he was reading that right. The blue light from his phone illuminated his face, now standing apart from the inky blackness of his room. He could feel you radiating from it.
Him: maybe you should stop by my place tomorrow afternoon then.
You: I'd really like that.
You: good night, Shota. <3
Him: see you soon.
————
He made sure to take care of himself in the shower before the next afternoon, not wanting a repeat of the previous night. Best case scenario, now he would last longer if you two ended up fooling around. He even double checked that Eri was in the dorms at UA again today. That was just wishful thinking, though. Sex these days would probably only come from pity for him. Poor washed-up hero, missing an eye, missing a leg. That's the last thing he needed right now.
He cleaned up around his apartment, wiping down the counters and making the area look welcoming for you. Why did he want to impress you so badly? Ugh, this was so embarrassing. He never worried about what people thought of him in any other scenario, but now, here he was, fluffing his brand new throw pillows and applying cologne to his neck and chest.
You knocked on the door, straightening the skirt of your dress, the same one you were wearing the morning you two first met. Aizawa answered the door in a gray t-shirt and black sweatpants, his hair loose and his eyes heavy-lidded when he looked down at you. That dress again. Clingy, short, nipped at the waist to show off your curves. Christ, you were beautiful. He welcomed you in, the smell of bergamot wafting from him.
His apartment was bigger than yours by quite a bit. It had a floating island in the kitchen, slate colored walls, a black sectional positioned in the living room atop a white shag rug, and circular lights that were recessed within the ceiling.
"Wow, your place is so nice. Shit. I'm sorry I made you come to my hovel last night," you partially joked, impressed with how well his home was put together.
"That's stupid. I liked being at your place,"
You saw something moving out of the corner of your eye through the doorway of the other room.
"Is that a punching bag?" You asked with a wry smile.
"Gotta keep myself in shape. Want to give it a go?" His voice was low, almost challenging you to take him up on the offer.
"Oh, I don't know. I lift weights but I don't really do a lot of cardio. I'd just end up humiliating myself, honestly," you said sheepishly.
"Come on, y/n, spar with me. I'll go easy on you,"
"Okay, okay," you gave in and walked toward the next room, which you could see upon closer inspection was full of gym equipment. You felt out of your element, but you were willing to make yourself look like a fool if it meant he was enjoying himself.
You gave the bag a light punch as Aizawa held onto it, half afraid that you would mess it up somehow, or maybe even break your damn hand. It felt like it was full of some kind of particulate. Maybe sand? Oh god, you probably looked like some kind of lazy sack, not even knowing how to punch a fucking bag.
"I know you can do better than that. You've got more power in you. Come on,"
You punched again.
"Harder. Don't hold back!" He growled.
That was really fucking sexy, actually, and now you were a little distracted. You balled your hand into a fist, made sure your thumb was facing outside, and used all of this pent up frustration to wallop the daylights out of the bag. Your knuckles made contact with a padded thud, and you let out a small grunt.
"Atta girl," he praised you, his voice like whisky.
God, hearing him say that was like a dopamine hit. You were disoriented. You were already clumsy, and now your brain felt like a can of cranberry sauce splattered out onto a plate.
Aizawa stepped away from the bag, a terse expression plastered onto his face.
"Now act like I'm coming after you and try to pin me. Remember, it doesn't matter that I'm bigger than you. Use strategy to overpower me,"
You mustered up all of your strength, all of your courage, and leapt toward his torso. He didn't try to block you, so you knew he was going easy on you... but you also knew you didn't do it right when you went off to the side and started to veer straight for the wall. He grabbed you by both wrists and wedged himself between your legs in order to cushion your fall, and you landed upright, straddling him as he lay on his back.
You were both panting, eyes dilated, a wildness boiling within you like animals. He let go of your wrists and your hands softly found their rest on his chest as it heaved.
"Y/n," he laughed, "that was awful,"
You rolled your eyes and shifted your weight into less of a stiff position.
"I told you I was bad at this. I am a lover, not a fighter," you pressed your hand to your chest as you spoke.
Moving ever so slightly on top of him, you saw his eye widen, his lips parted to let a small gasp escape from them. Panic has set in.
"Get up. Please," his tone is highly-strung and fearful.
He looks genuinely terrified, scrambling beneath you, the only reason you're still in his lap like this due to his apprehension to hurt you by accident.
"Shota, wha--" your question is cut off by the feeling of something poking against your clothed sex.
Oh.
Oh.
A red hue painted his entire face at the realization of the situation he was in, his blood pulsing through his body rapidly, the sound of it rushing in his ears.
"Why," you said breathily "don't you want me?"
Overstimulated, his brain didn't process what you'd just said to him.
Your lungs feel like they're about to lunge straight out of your chest, your core aching to be filled. You'll have to make sure that he really gets the point. Now was the time to be honest with him, maybe even be a little dirty. It's now or never.
"I want to know.. I mean.." talking felt hard. Your blood supply seemed starved from your brain.
"Do you touch yourself when you think of me?"
He was trembling like a leaf beneath you, caged in by the plush of your thighs. Was this a trick question? Yes, he just fucked himself to you this morning, AND last night in YOUR bathroom. Is that what he was supposed to say? He swallowed thickly, clamoring to gather up some kind of sentient thought to say to you.
"I do," you filled the gap of silence, "I think of you that way. A lot, actually,"
You ground your pelvis up and down his length, the fabric of his pants rough against him, eliciting a grunt through his gritted teeth.
"I.. f-fuck, I-I dunno how to.. answer that," he's been reduced to this mumbling mess on the floor, that silver tongue suppressed by the sweet press of your warmth to his cock.
You took his shaking hand and placed it between your thighs, right on the dampness that was spreading at your center, sopping through what little material covered them.
"I want you, Shota. I want you bad," your words were like poetry spouting from your lips.
He rubbed you through your wet panties, soaked and clinging to you like a second skin. Were you this wet for him? He delights in the way your breath hitches, how you squirm atop him, your eyes heavy and lustful. Shota gives one last languid stroke up the lace and then pulls them to the side for easier access to your clit. He rubs light circles around it and watches you writhe, taking in the noises you were making, so painfully hard he felt as though he would cum in his pants just from watching you. He stopped his teasing and placed both hands on your hips, the pair of you frenzied for more.
You crashed your lips to his, both of you giving in to a hungry kiss, passionate and blistering with heat, tongues swirling and teeth clashing. You cupped his face in your hands, pulling him into you, starved for his taste. He keened into your touch as if it would soon disappear. Leaving the rough stubble of his cheeks only to grab a handful of his mussed hair, you tugged at it, causing him to moan into your mouth, and you swallowd down each noise greedily. He explored your body with haste, grabbing your ass, sinking the pads of his fingers into your skin. You could feel him throbbing underneath you, so you palmed him through his pants, and with a swift jerk, he threw his head back onto the floor, not even caring to register the pain of it.
"Fuck. Y/n. If you keep going..."
You tugged at the waist of his pants, then dragged featherlight touches across his exposed cock teasingly. He felt you smile against his skin as you nuzzled the crook of his neck, and he lets out a muffled groan that tapered off into a high-pitched whine, desperate and needy.
He let out an involuntary whimper, almost pitiful with how much yearning was within it.
"You gonna cum for me already? Hmm?"
That was it.
He couldn't fucking take it anymore.
Something within him snapped and a growl poured from him, rumbling up from somewhere deep in his chest.
With hurried hands, he pulls your dress over top your head, revealing that you were wearing nothing but lacy black panties underneath. You were stunning. Like a Greek statue of Aphrodite herself. He was never able to fully imagine your naked form before, and this was a perfect frame of reference for later. He wanted nothing more than to get absolutely drunk off of you. And he gets you all to himself. He can't hardly believe his luck.
"Tell me what you want me to do to you," his voice was raw and saturated with desire, a gravel to it, burning like whisky.
"I want you to touch me," you murmur, suddenly feeling shy in the sweltering heat of his gaze.
"Touch you?" Aizawa said with a chuckle, "I'm going to devour you,"
Before you were given the chance to react, he bucked into you, then slid you from his lap and onto the floor, gripping your underwear and throwing them off on your way down. He took off his shirt expeditiously to reveal his muscular form, and you admire the lines that bisect his abdomen, eyes nearly rolling into your skull when they land at the tent in his pants. He looks big. Like, concerningly big. You ran your fingers across the scars on his chest, which gave an almost tickling sensation, all the way down to the hair that trailed from his naval to his pants. He was beautiful. So fit that he looked like he could play himself in a movie.
Casting the clothing aside, he lays you flat onto the floor, kissing from your lips, to your neck, to your nipple where he sucked and flicked his tongue, using his free hand to caress the other, groping hungrily at your plush flesh. You moaned, breathy and meek, at his touch. Separating from you, his pupil was blown out as your pheromones hit him in the face, and he pulled your legs apart to fully expose you.
"Look at your pretty little pussy,"
He slipped a digit inside of you and did a curling motion until he found the spot that made you whimper underneath him, watched as your face went from shocked to a look of pleading for more, lashes fluttering.
He clicked his tongue.
"And look at you. So fucking needy. So ready for me to take you,"
He removed his finger and used it to play with your clit, making waves of pleasure shoot through your body, a white-hot coil tightening in your core just above where he was touching.
"Sh-Shota... please, fuck me," you begged, nearly mewling.
He hissed through his teeth, peering down at you as if you were prey. The look on his face is wolfish, starving, nearly pained to be holding himself back. There's a wilderness within him that begs to be let loose. You want nothing more than to be destroyed by it, left a carnal mess upon the floor.
"Oh, I'm going to fuck you. I'm going to fuck you until you can't even sit without thinking of me," he taps your clit with his fingertips, "But first, I'm going to make you cum on my tongue," he was serious with his words, meticulous, making sure you knew exactly what he had planned for you. Sweet, slow burning anticipation sent tingles up and down your spine.
He put your legs on his shoulders and went back to the spot inside of you that made you cry, this time sucking on your clit in tandem, fully encapturing it within his lips. Your mouth was now agape in a breathy scream as you clamp down on his fingers, moving your hips in time with him, riding waves of pleasure as he brings you closer to the edge. He lets out an appreciative groan as you say his name, the noises coming out of you so lewd and sinful that you hope the neighbors don't call someone for a wellness check.
Aizawa absentmindedly pressed himself against the floor, nearly frantic for some kind of touch while he watched you squirming beneath him, but it does little to quell the ache he has in his center. You tasted like sweet tarts and made these lustful gasps, and it drove him absolutely mad to know he was doing that to you, that these reactions were from his own touch.
"Say my name," he speaks this phrase into the throbbing bud at your apex, and you shiver, close to careening off of the edge he'd just brought you to.
"Shota.. fuck, keep going, please," you mewl, rolling your hips.
He nips at your inner thigh, velvet flesh pillowing between his teeth, and then drags the length of his tongue up your clit in one torturously long stroke.
"Louder. I want everyone to know who's about to make you cum," the steel in his gaze is sharp enough to slice you.
So you oblige him, moaning his name, chanting it like a mantra as he continues to lap at you once more. You can feel the pressure building, building, building until it finally spills over like a dam. He moans at the realization, feeling your pussy spasm under his tongue.
"Oh my god.. Oh fuck, Shota!" You cry out for him as you melt into his mouth.
He's breathless as he pulls himself away from you, mouth slick, still slipping his fingers in and out of you in an allowance to ride out the rest of your orgasm. He looks feral. Like he could tear into you. Destroy you.
He drags his cheek across your thigh.
"Good girl," he grunts, "good fucking girl,"
You look up at him with your mouth partially open, your eyes heavy with want, and with one fell swoop you sit up and pull down his sweatpants to reveal his throbbing cock, wet and dripping from the tip. You take the whole thing into your mouth, sucking, swirling your tongue, cranking your hand around his shaft like you're ready to milk the soul straight out of him. He gasps, moving his hips to pump into your mouth as you open wider, holding out your tongue so you can take in as much of his length as possible. He brought you closer until you were practically flush against him, all the while you were committing the look on his face to memory.
You can tell this is about to break him, so you tighten your grip in a pulsating pattern, moaning on his length to send vibrations through him. His movements are becoming erratic, fervent, and you cannot fucking wait to see him come apart at your doing. You run the flat of your tongue across a particularly sensitive spot along his shaft, your arousal building once more when you see the way he pinches his brows together, how he ruts into your mouth like some inexperienced virgin. You just feel too fucking good.
Suddenly, he pulls himself from your mouth with a vulgar pop, and you're gasping for sweet breaths of air after some of the sloppiest head you've given in your life.
"I knew you'd be good at that," Aizawa chokes out, his dick bobbing in front of you, "but we're not done yet,"
He lightly pushed you back onto the ground and placed your ankles up onto his shoulders, putting his tip right up against your entrance. His muscles twitched in anticipation and you reveled in his godlike form.
"Is this okay?" He asked you, gently.
You laughed a bit at the question.
With all the heat and want you can channel, you look up at him from your place on the floor and rasp "ruin me, Shota,"
He gives you a wicked smile, one you've never seen him wear before, and pushes himself inside of your aching pussy, holding onto your leg for leverage. You can feel yourself stretching to accommodate him, a bit unprepared for his full girth inside of you. It doesn't take long for you to start moving along with him though, and he begins to thrust harder, pounding into you like his life depended on it.
Biting your lower lip, you throw your head back, attempting to keep from screaming as he delves into you. He removes his hand from your leg to grab your jaw, and locking eyes says, "Eyes on me. I want to see the fucking look on your face when I make you cum,"
This coaxes a moan from you, and he gives a gutteral response to his cock being squeezed.
"Good girl. You're taking me so well. God, you're so tight, fuck," his voice is husky and deep.
Your cunt hugs him tighter with every word.
He needed more.
Aizawa takes his free hand and starts to rub your clit in circles, still sensitive from your previous orgasm, and you can feel that knot in your stomach forming again. You're about to come undone already, and he can feel you clamping around him like a vice.
"Fuck that feels so good," your voice is heady and needful.
His pacing became erratic once more and his ministrations on your clit became almost desperate. He was barely holding on, whimpering, sweat dotting his brow.
"I knew you were fucking teasing me. Coming out in those tiny shorts. Know what I shoulda done? Should've fucked you right there on the couch. Should've bred your tight little cunt," he leans down to fill some of the gap between you, a few tendrils of his raven hair falling to cling to his face.
He pistons into you harder, "Swear to god, I'm gonna fuck every single thought out of that pretty little head. Wanna tease me like that? Take your fucking punishment. I.. f-fuck!" He feels you come unraveled all over his cock as you ride him from there on the floor, making sounds that hitch in your throat like ragged bleats. He made note of your blissed-out expression and then let out a sharp gasp, your walls almost too snug for him to handle.
You whined in a small voice, still finishing, your gaze not breaking when you tell him, "make a mess in me,"
That's all it took for him to lose it, giving into his pleasure and allowing himself to fill you up with what felt like gallons of cum, letting out strangled moans as his entire body throbs.
Panting, he pulls out of you, watching as his release leaks from between your legs. He wasn't usually interested in sex at all after getting off, but seeing you like this, glowing with sweat and hormones, covered in him. It made him weak. He pulls apart your cunt with his thumbs, watches your glistening sex twitch, cum dripping. He's going to remember this if he ever needs to get off in two seconds flat.
The two of you lay in the floor together, floating, riding the high in a breathless haze.
"Be my girlfriend, y/n," Aizawa was the first to speak.
You were taken aback.
"What?"
You never thought him to be the type to be alright with labels.
"I like you. Not just in the way that I want to have sex with you. I want to make love to you. And I want you to be my girlfriend. Will you be with me?"
You ran your fingers across his jawline as a warm smile spread across your face.
"I'll be your girlfriend. But there are stipulations,"
"Anything. Whatever you want, it's yours," Aizawa hopes that his longing isn't too obvious, that he isn't too eager, but another part of him doesn't even care anymore.
"You have to be my boyfriend," your words are like a breeze through a windchime.
His eye takes purchase in your face as he leans into you, the kiss he offers you this time languid, lazy, loving instead of a mess of teeth and lips.
I love you, he thought, pulling away enough that your foreheads touch. God, how I love you. Just allow me to worship at the altar of your body once more.
Before you can stop yourself, and as if you can read his mind, you speak to him in a voice that's almost a whisper, "I think I love you,"
He looks dumbfounded, awestruck.
He finds his voice enough to say, simply, "I love you," followed by a kiss pressed to your nose.
The day that follows is soft and halcyon. You bask in one another like the afterglow is your lifeline, here in your own private world, all stardust and warmth. You don't know what the future holds. You stopped living in a world of 'what ifs' a long time ago. But you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, you'll be there with him.
And he'll be there with you.
Like he always is.

genuine question – and i hope it doesn't come as weird – but how do get into...pokemon? </3
pokemon universe feels so big and there are so many games and i really like their designs – both for pokemons and trainers – making ocs in this setting would be so cool but i have no idea how to. begin!
could you give some advice?
ps leaving compliments for your comic and art in general!! i really like how your pieces are so colorful! gives the vibes of some small but cozy and fun town in a videogame..
no worries!! it seriously depends on what you are interested in - gamewise, region wise, and story wise.
heres what i can say. if you like typical top-down style pixel art rpg games where you solve tile puzzles and build a little team of monsters, any of the games before x and y is a good choice. platinum is a great introduction to the series because it doesn't baby you but is still decently difficult, heartgold/soulsilver are the 'coziest' games imo but may spoil you because of how much content there is, black/white and black/white 2 are the most story-driven of the games and bw2 is probably the longest play of all the games. emerald is also great, but its genuinely a hard game even as someone whos been a fan of the series for years. i would say to start with hgss because they're my favorites, but they're so good it might raise the bar too high for all the other games pixel-art games.
if you prefer 3D graphics, but still like the 'run around catching guys and solving tile puzzles', i think sun and moon are the best of the 3D games! the story is engaging and a little more modernized so that there are actual cut scenes, i think the pokemon available are cute and the region is really pretty. i thikn after that, x and y is pretty cute! the story is less strong in comparison to sun/moon. importantly; every game in the 3D era has a new type that was not present in the pixel art era - the fairy type, so if you want to learn the MODERN type chart and balances, the 3D games are where you'd need to start.
finally, if you're not a fan of the 'catch pokemon run around region' type games, pokemon has a LOT of really awesome spin off games. my favorites are as follows...
pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky. its the strongest story the pokemon company has ever written, and im a big fan of the mystery dungeon style gameplay.
pokemon ranger (any ranger game!) the story and graphics are cute, and it focuses on rescuing/rehabilitating pokemon more than capturing them. really lovely expansion of the pokemon universe.
pokemon go, because its free! so if you dont want to download a rom, or sink money into a new franchise, its an easy way to get into it.
pokemon snap - this was actually my very first pokemon game i ever played! (never owned it though heha) but there was just a remake for the switch, if you've got a switch that is. the game focuses on photographing pokemon in their natural habitat, and its really quite cute. slow paced and fun if you're not sure about battling yet.
finally... if you weren't looking to get into games at all, pokemon art + fan creations are personally my favorite things in the entire fandom! artists and writers and fangame devs are the people who hold this fandom up, engaging with their creations is a great and typically free way to involve yourself... im sorry this is so long, i hope this helps!! and ppl are free to add on to this hehe

Chapter 18: Family Photo Shoot
Rating: General Audiences
Warning: none
Paring: Paige Bueckers x !photographer fem reader
Fandom: Women's basketball
Summary: ultimate UConn trio... back at it again
P.s.-yes I know that's ice in the 3rd pic but it fit the vibe here oki....
Welcome to the chapter 18 of Through The Lens. I hope you all enjoy and there is more to come...stay tuned my loveies!! 🏀💕📸
It all started with a simple idea. Well, at least, it seemed simple when Paige and KK proposed it.
"Let’s do a family photo shoot around campus," Paige suggested for the second time since bringing up on the way back, from the Storms game last week, lounging across my bed while scrolling through her phone. "We’ve been matching jerseys, matching vibes—let’s document it."
I shot her a look. "Wait, you mean, you want us to take cute pictures together? On campus?"
KK, always ready for anything, piped up from the corner of the room. "Exactly! It's about time we really commit to this ‘family’ thing."
I sighed but couldn't help the smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "You're crazy, both of you."
Paige nudged me. "Oh, come on, it’ll be fun! We’ll make it look like we’re the coolest, most wholesome little family ever. Plus, we can film some TikToks while we're at it!"
And so, we were off. Paige grabbed my Polaroid camera, KK armed herself with her phone for TikTok purposes, and we ventured to campus, where we began our spontaneous "family photo shoot."
We started by the fountain near the library, posing dramatically in front of the iconic UConn sign, our matching gear almost blinding in the sunlight. Paige, of course, insisted on giving each photo a playful theme. One was a “family dinner” shot, where we pretended to laugh at something that only we found funny. Another was a “vacation photo,” where we all leaned against the sign like we’d just arrived at some far-off exotic destination.
KK couldn’t stop laughing as we messed with different props—my camera, Paige’s jersey, and KK’s beanie that she kept pulling over our heads in each shot.
“You two are ridiculously cute,” KK said between giggles. “I’m living for this. It’s like a Pinterest board in real life.”
After a while, we decided to take a break by the basketball court. We sat down, still in our matching jerseys, snapping pictures as a breeze swept through. The chemistry between us was undeniable—the laughter, the inside jokes, the casual touches that had long become a part of our daily routine.
Paige wrapped her arm around my shoulder, resting her head against mine for one photo, and KK crouched in front of us, trying to catch the perfect candid shot.
"Okay, okay," KK said, holding up her phone. "We need something more fun. Let’s do some TikTok dances. This is the perfect time to get a little goofy."
We moved from one spot to another, setting up the camera to capture our ridiculous dance moves. Paige and I, being completely uncoordinated, tried to follow KK’s lead as she showed us some trending TikTok dance moves.
"Left, right, right, left," KK instructed, laughing as we both tried (and failed) to get the timing right.
Paige raised an eyebrow, clearly struggling to keep up. "I am not going to be famous on TikTok for this."
I nodded in agreement, trying not to laugh too hard. "KK, we look ridiculous."
But KK was unstoppable. She expertly spun around, doing the “tripped-out” move she’d been practicing. I had no idea what it was, but the way she made it look easy made me feel like I could do it too.
"Here, let me show you," KK said, before pulling Paige and me into position again. "All you have to do is boom, boom, boom and trip out."
We both stared at her. "Trip out?" I echoed.
"Yeah, like this." KK did the move once more, effortlessly. "Come on, Y/N, Paige can barely do it, but still does it. Just let go of your coordination for once!"
It took a few tries, but soon enough, Paige and I were doing the most absurd “trip out” moves, laughing hysterically as we messed it up in the funniest ways possible. KK filmed the entire thing, even adding music to it for the ultimate TikTok effect.
As if the day wasn’t already chaotic enough, we decided to take it up a notch. Paige texted the team, convincing everyone to meet us at the gym later that night for an impromptu photo shoot in their game uniforms.
"Is everyone on board for the late-night photo shoot?" KK asked in the team group chat.
The responses came in fast:
• Azzi: "I’m in. What are we wearing?"
• Sarah: "Uniforms? Is this a joke?"
• Morgan: "Let’s do it."
• Ice: "Better be worth it."
• Jana: "Bet let's gooo!"
• Aubrey: "who's idea, bro?"
I couldn’t stop smiling as we all gathered at the gym later that night, the basketball court empty except for us. The fluorescent lights above hummed softly as the team gathered, still in their uniforms, but clearly ready for whatever KK had planned.
"Okay," KK said, adjusting her phone’s camera. "This is gonna be iconic."
We lined up in the center of the court, our game faces on—well, not exactly. Paige couldn’t help but crack a grin as she stood next to me, her arm casually slung around my shoulder. KK darted around, snapping pictures, calling for different angles.
Every shot was more chaotic than the last, but the energy between us felt real. This was family. The team felt like home, and in those moments, we were all equally ridiculous and joyful together.
By the time we were done, KK was already in the process of setting up an Instagram account. "We’re officially a family now," she said. "We need a place to showcase our art."
And just like that, the @unoffical_bueckersfam account was born.
"Do we really need a family account?" I asked, still grinning as I watched KK upload the first batch of pictures.
"Absolutely," Paige replied, nudging me. "You’re stuck with us now."
I laughed, taking a picture of Paige and KK as they struck ridiculous poses together. "Fine. But I’m not doing matching family outfits for the holidays, when they roll around."
The family photo shoot pics went live soon after, and the responses started flooding in almost immediately. Fans were loving our antics. Some even started calling us “the UConn First Family.” The comments section was a mix of laughs and admiration:
• Okay, but can we talk about how cute they are?
• I’m obsessed with the ‘family’ vibes. They’re like the ultimate trio.
• Didn't know this was a trio I needed until now.
• Omgg we live, laugh, and love their friendship with each other.
• When’s the next family photo shoot? I’m living for this content.
• Best trio at UConn ngl
• Oops they do be giving parents and child vibes for real
• the kiss on cheek Alexa que that should be me by Justin Bieber
I couldn’t help but smile as I scrolled through the comments.
KK was right. We were creating something special. And as absurd as the idea of a family photo shoot had been, I wouldn’t have wanted to share this with anyone else.
It was us, all of us, together. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Could you do an ex-lover to lovers again with reader and Nico Hischier 🤭 with the vibes “I thought the Swiss could change me” from the song ‘Lucerne’ by Richy Mitch & The coal miners. Kinda angsty and really fluffy.
Absolutely, darling! ❤️🔥 I hadn’t heard that song before now, but I’m absolutely obsessed with it 🤗
I really hope I captured your vision with this – it might come off a bit general, but I just wanted to try and make sure I included everything, from the beginning to the ex-lovers part. Hopefully, you enjoy reading it as much as I did working on it 🙏🏼
Tropes & warnings: Nico Hischier x reader, strangers-lovers, break-up, ex-lovers, fluff, angst, light smut at the end

I Thought the Swiss Could Change Me
Lucerne, I keep running right back to you 'Cause I thought the Swiss could change me That the finer things would render me finer tuned Lucerne, I keep coming right back I keep running on
_
You and Nico had been together for almost two years when it all fell apart. It sort of unravelled slowly, cautiously like you might expect with most breakups. Yet, it still hit like a violent storm neither of you saw coming. One day, everything was perfect—the love, the laughs, the easy rhythm of your lives together. The next day, it wasn’t. You had never imagined it would happen to you. Not to you and Nico. Everyone said you were strong, destined for each other.
Soulmates.
From the moment you first met under the crisp autumn skies of New Jersey, there had been something electric between you. You were never much of a sports fan before that day, but Nico was hard to resist. It was during the start of hockey season, and the city was buzzing with excitement. You weren’t paying attention to the Devils or their captain—hockey had never been on your radar—but somehow, the universe had decided you and Nico would collide.
It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, really. You were grabbing coffee, already running late, when someone bumped into you hard enough to spill your drink all over your sweater. Annoyed, you turned, ready to give the person a piece of your mind, but when your eyes locked with his, the words got stuck in your throat. It was Nico Hischier, though you didn’t know it at the time—just a tall, apologetic guy with warm brown eyes that were quick to soften in concern.
“I’m so sorry,” he said, his Swiss accent thick, holding his hands up in surrender.
You had waved it off, though your annoyance was still fresh. “It’s fine. Really.”
“I owe you another one, please,” Nico insisted, his boyish grin forming as he glanced at the mess he’d made of your outfit.
Needless to say, you didn’t argue. And that was just the beginning.
What started with an accidental coffee spill soon turned into hours of conversation. He had bought you a replacement drink that day, and somehow, you ended up talking about everything under the sun—his love for hockey, his home in Switzerland, and how he still wasn’t used to certain things in New Jersey. You didn’t even realise who he was until later, when someone asked for a picture. And even then, it didn’t hit you fully. To you, he was just Nico, the guy who spilled coffee on you.
But that simple encounter turned into something more, something neither of you had expected. Nico had been charmed by you almost immediately, captivated by the way you didn’t care about his status as the Devils’ captain or the attention that followed him. You were easy to be around, someone who made him feel like just a regular guy instead of a superstar athlete, coupled with your random quirks. So, it didn't take long before he asked you out.
You fell fast. And Nico? Nico fell even harder.
He hadn’t planned on it—hadn’t thought he’d be swept off his feet so quickly. Nico had always been calm, steady, and focused on his career. But you changed everything. Your laugh, the sparkle in your eyes when you talked about things you loved, the way you cared deeply and genuinely about people—it was intoxicating. And what surprised him the most was how seamlessly you fit into his world. Though hockey was his life, you never made him feel like he had to choose between you and his passion. You supported him, understood the long road trips, the exhausting schedule, even the missed calls. That understanding was something he hadn’t realised he needed until he found it with you.
And in return, Nico gave you everything he had. He took you to games, let you into the thrilling world of professional hockey, even though you hadn’t been interested before. He showed you behind the scenes, introduced you to his teammates, and made sure you never felt like an outsider in his life. You got swept up in the excitement of the games, learning stats, figuring out the dynamics of hockey you never thought you’d care about. And before you knew it, you were standing in the stands, dressed in his jersey number 13 and cheering with the rest of the crowd, your heart racing not just for the game but for him.
As the months passed, you found yourself more and more entrenched in Nico’s life. He introduced you to his closest friends, the people who had been part of his journey long before he ever became a captain. He took you to his favourite hidden spots in New Jersey—little restaurants only a few knew about, places where he could escape the constant attention. There, the two of you would talk for hours, sharing dreams, worries, and everything in between.
When the off-season arrived, Nico couldn’t wait to take you to Switzerland. It wasn’t just a vacation for him—it was bringing you home, showing you the world that had shaped him. His excitement was palpable as he talked about the mountains, the lakes, and the quaint little villages he grew up in. And when you finally got there, it was everything he’d promised.
Switzerland was breathtaking. The mountains stood tall and proud, the air was clean and crisp, and the lakes sparkled in the sun. Nico took you everywhere—to the best hiking trails, the most beautiful overlooks, and, of course, to meet his family. You were nervous at first, but his family welcomed you with open arms, instantly making you feel like part of them. His mother adored you, his siblings thought you were fun, and Nico? Nico looked at you like he had never been prouder to have you by his side.
It was perfect. Too perfect, maybe. Because paradise doesn’t last forever, and even the strongest love has its tests.
You didn’t realise it at the time, but cracks were beginning to form, even in the midst of those happy moments. The media couldn’t leave well enough alone. Your relationship with Nico had always been under scrutiny—people loved to talk about the captain of the Devils, and they loved to dig for dirt. They started prying, spreading rumours and lies, trying to find any weakness they could exploit. At first, it didn’t seem to matter. You trusted Nico, and he trusted you. You had survived worse together, and you weren’t going to let a few baseless headlines shake the foundation you had built.
But trust, as solid as it seemed, can be fragile when constantly attacked. The rumours took their toll—not on you, but on Nico. At first, it was subtle. You noticed the way he tensed up every time his phone buzzed with a new notification, or how his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes like it used to. The worst part? He didn’t talk about it much—Nico had never been one to share his insecurities easily—but you could see it, the weight of everything piling on his shoulders.
The media was relentless. They posted photos of you out with friends, with men you barely knew—strangers, coworkers, or simply people you happened to bump into at events. It was harmless, but the way they twisted it in headlines made it seem like more. And so-called “fans” didn’t make it easier. Nico would get messages, pictures of you with these men, accompanied by cruel comments suggesting that you weren’t loyal, that you were using him for fame. It was all nonsense, and you both knew it. At least, you thought you both did.
Nico, however, struggled with it more than you realised. He kept it bottled up, acting like it didn’t bother him. But over time, you could see the cracks forming. You could feel the distance growing between you. He became quieter, more withdrawn. The light in his eyes, the playful glint you loved so much, began to dim. He started spending more time at the rink, throwing himself into practices and games, using hockey as an escape from the thoughts that tormented him.
It was jealousy, though Nico would never admit it out loud. He was terrified. The idea of losing you—to someone with a less demanding life, someone who could be there for you every day—haunted him. He wasn’t around as much as he wanted to be; he couldn’t always be there when you needed him. And the thought that someone else could swoop in, could give you what he couldn’t, consumed him. Instead of telling you about his fears, though, he let them fester. He didn’t want to seem weak, didn’t want to burden you with his insecurities, so he kept it all to himself. But that only made it worse.
Slowly, he began to pull away. At first, it was small things—missed calls, shorter texts, moments of silence that stretched just a bit too long. Then, it became more obvious. The intimacy you once shared faded. Your sex life, once passionate and spontaneous, became rare. Nights that used to be filled with whispered conversations and soft touches were replaced with silence. Nico was there, but he wasn’t really there. His mind was always somewhere else—lost in his own doubts and insecurities.
You tried to talk to him, to reach out, to assure him that nothing had changed, that you still loved him, still wanted him. But Nico wasn’t good at talking about his feelings, especially not when it came to things that scared him. He brushed off your concerns, said everything was fine, that he was just tired from the season. You wanted to believe him, but deep down, you knew something was wrong. The man who used to look at you like you were his entire world now barely met your eyes during dinner.
The tension between you grew thicker with every passing day. Every attempt you made to connect with him seemed to push him further away. It was like he had built a wall around himself, and no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t break through. You were left wondering where it all went wrong, how you had gone from being the couple everyone envied to two people barely holding on.
The final blow came just before the playoffs - Nico ended it.
It happened on a quiet evening at home. You weren’t expecting it, not at all. He had just come back from practice, looking more exhausted than usual. You thought maybe it was just the pressure of the upcoming games, the stress of leading his team through such an intense part of the season. You had no idea what was coming.
He sat down next to you on the couch, but something was off. There was no warmth in his gaze, no tenderness in his touch. You could feel the cold distance between you, and it made your stomach churn with dread. When he finally spoke, his voice was low, almost emotionless.
“I think we should end this,” Nico said, not meeting your eyes.
You blinked, not understanding at first. “What? What are you talking about?”
He took a deep breath, his hands clenched tightly in his lap. “It’s better this way.”
Those words sent a chill down your spine. Better? How could this possibly be better? You searched his face for any sign of hesitation, for any indication that he didn’t mean what he was saying, but all you found was cold detachment. He wasn’t there—not really. It was like he had already made up his mind, like he had checked out of the relationship long before this conversation even started.
“Better for who?” you asked, your voice breaking. “For you? For me? Nico, this doesn’t make any sense.”
But Nico didn’t explain. He just shook his head, his jaw clenched tightly. “I’m sorry, Y/N. It’s… it’s just better.”
And that was it. No long explanation, no heartfelt goodbye. Just those cold, final words. You were left blindsided, devastated, staring at him in disbelief. How could he do this? How could he just walk away like this? After everything you still felt for him?
But Nico was already gone, emotionally, and now he was physically leaving too. He got up from the couch, muttered something about needing to be alone, and walked out the door. The silence that followed was deafening.
You sat there, numb, unable to process what had just happened. The man you loved, the man who had once been your everything, had just walked out of your life without so much as a proper explanation. And you were left to pick up the pieces of a relationship you thought would last forever.
You couldn’t watch the playoffs - not that it lasted long for the Devils.
When Nico left for Switzerland during the off-season, he hoped the distance would give him clarity. Switzerland had always been his sanctuary—the mountains, the lakes, the quiet. He thought maybe returning to the familiar landscapes of his childhood, surrounded by his family, would help him clear his mind, help him forget the chaos of the past few months. But the Swiss countryside, no matter how beautiful, couldn’t soothe the ache in his chest. The rolling hills and serene views only reminded him of what he was missing. Every time he saw a picture of you online, smiling with friends, looking carefree in photos taken at bars or restaurants, his heart twisted painfully.
He couldn’t forget you. No matter how hard he tried to lose himself in the simplicity of home, in the comfort of his family’s company, you were still everywhere in his thoughts. Your smile, your laugh, the way you fit so seamlessly into his life, even in the chaotic whirlwind of his career. He missed the sound of your voice, missed waking up next to you, missed the comfort of your body pressed against his at night.
Nico was struggling. His bed felt too big, too cold without you beside him. He missed the way you used to curl into him, your head resting on his chest, your hand draped over his stomach. The way you would trace lazy circles on his skin, lulling him to sleep after a long day. The way your body fit so perfectly against his.
He thought about you constantly, replaying the moments you shared—the laughter, the intimacy, the quiet moments in the morning before the world intruded on your little bubble. He missed the way you would look at him, like he was the only person in the world that mattered. He missed your body, the way you moved together, the way you made him feel alive. No matter how hard he tried to bury those feelings, they always came rushing back, overwhelming him with regret.
But you weren’t happy, no matter what the pictures online showed. The smiles in those photos were carefully constructed, masking the pain that had settled deep inside you. The loss of Nico had left a gaping hole in your life, one that you didn’t know how to fill. You spent more time in bars than you cared to admit, trying to drown the loneliness that gnawed at you. Alcohol dulled the edges of the hurt, numbed the constant ache in your chest, but it couldn’t erase it. You were surrounded by friends, but none of them could make up for the emptiness that Nico’s absence left behind.
The nights were the hardest. You had grown so used to sharing a bed with him, to the comfort of his warm body beside yours. The way you used to fit together so perfectly, no matter the mood—whether it was slow, tender nights where you’d make love for hours, or spontaneous, passionate moments where you couldn’t keep your hands off each other. The way he’d kiss you, deep and slow, taking his time, savouring every touch like it was the last. His hands on your skin, the feel of him pressed against you—it had been perfect, effortless. The chemistry between you was undeniable, and now, it was gone.
One night, after too many drinks, you made a mistake. You went home with someone else, hoping that maybe, just maybe, it would help. Maybe being with someone new would make the emptiness go away, even for just a little while. You wanted to forget the way Nico’s touch lingered on your skin, wanted to replace the memories of him with someone else. But it didn’t work. The one-night stand only made things worse. No one could compare to Nico. No one ever would. The moment it was over, you felt even more hollow than before, disgusted with yourself for even trying to replace him.
You missed everything about him.
Those four months apart were torture for both of you. Every day without each other was a reminder of what you had lost, of the love that had slipped through your fingers. You both tried to move on, to find solace in other things, other people, but nothing worked. The connection you had shared was too strong to forget. And no matter how far apart you were, the longing for each other never truly went away.
When Nico returned to New Jersey, neither of you had anticipated seeing each other so soon. You had resigned yourself to the possibility that your paths might never cross again. Yet another crisp autumn evening, fate intervened. You were walking through a park, lost in your thoughts, when you saw him—standing beneath a cluster of trees, hands shoved deep in his pockets, staring off into the distance. He looked lost, as if he was carrying the same weight in his chest that you had been for months.
“Nico?” you called out softly, your voice catching in your throat.
He turned slowly, and when his eyes met yours, the world around you seemed to freeze. Everything you’d held inside—every unsaid word, every missed touch—suddenly bubbled to the surface. The months of separation vanished in that split second, and all that was left was the two of you, standing in the fading daylight.
His gaze softened, and he took a small step toward you, his voice thick with emotion as he said your name. “Y/N…”
You crossed your arms, trying to steady yourself against the whirlwind of feelings that hit you all at once. “I didn’t think I’d ever see you again,” you admitted, the vulnerability in your words feeling raw, exposed.
Nico’s eyes darkened with regret. “Well, I… I couldn’t really stay away. I thought Switzerland would… I thought being home would make things clearer. But it didn’t. All I could think about was you. All I wanted… was you.”
You took a hesitant step forward, heart hammering in your chest. “I… missed you,” you whispered, your voice barely audible over the pounding of your pulse. “I tried to move on, but I couldn’t...”
The space between you seemed to evaporate as Nico reached out, his fingers grazing yours. The moment his skin touched yours, a spark shot through you, igniting something deep inside that had lain dormant since he’d walked away. It was like a missing puzzle piece had finally fallen back into place.
“I’m so sorry, schätzi,” he said, his voice trembling. “I was so scared. Scared that I wasn’t enough for you, that you’d grow tired of me being away all the time… and that someone else could give you the life I couldn’t.”
Tears welled up in your eyes, but you shook your head. “Nico, you were always enough. I just needed you to let me in. To talk to me.”
He looked at you, his face filled with regret, guilt written in every line of his expression. “I know that now. I just… I thought letting you go would make it easier—for both of us. But it didn’t. I was wrong. I was so wrong.”
Without thinking, you gently closed the distance between you, placing your hand on his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart beneath your palm. “You were never the problem. I loved you, Nico. And I still love you.”
His breath hitched, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. “I love you too,” he whispered, pulling you against him as if he was afraid you might slip away. You melted into his embrace, the warmth and familiarity of his arms around you filling the empty spaces inside you. “I never stopped.”
You pulled back just enough to look into his eyes, your hand still resting on his chest. “Then don’t let go this time,” you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper, but the intensity of the words hanging in the air between you.
Nico’s lips parted, and before you could say another word, he finally kissed you.
It was soft at first, hesitant, like he wasn’t sure if this was real. But the moment your lips met, every bit of uncertainty vanished. The kiss deepened, filled with all the passion, the longing, the words that had been left unsaid for so long. His hands gripped your waist, pulling you closer as you tangled your fingers in his hair, needing to feel him, to know that this wasn’t just a dream.
His lips trailed down to your jaw, then your neck, sending shivers down your spine. “I missed you so much,” he murmured against your skin, his voice hoarse with emotion.
“I missed you too,” you whispered, your fingers tightening in his hair as he pressed his forehead against yours, his breath mingling with yours in the cool evening air.
Before long, the desire that had simmered between you erupted into something more urgent. Nico’s hands roamed your body, as if he couldn’t get enough of you, and you were more than willing to let him. You tugged at his jacket, your body aching for the familiar touch you’d been without for so long.
“Let’s go,” Nico then whispered, his voice turning rough, the need in his eyes matching your own. You didn’t need to ask where—your apartment was only a few blocks away, and the moment you stepped through the door, it was as if no time had passed. The two of you moved in sync, shedding clothes in a trail that led to your bedroom.
Nico’s lips found yours again, more urgent this time, his hands sliding over your bare skin as he pulled you onto the bed. His touch was familiar, yet it felt brand new, the months apart making every sensation feel heightened, more intense. His hands explored every inch of your body, as if he was memorising you all over again.
“I love you,” Nico murmured between kisses, his voice thick with emotion as he pressed his body against yours, his warmth enveloping you. “I’ll never let you go again. I just want you to be mine.”
You gasped as he eased himself into you - just like he’s always done - his touch both gentle and firm, sending sparks of electricity through your body. Your heart raced as the two of you reconnected in the most intimate way possible, bodies moving together in perfect harmony. Every kiss, every touch, was filled with the love and passion that had always existed between you.
“I love you too, Nico. I’m yours. Only yours.”
The world outside ceased to exist. All that mattered was Nico—his body pressed against yours, his hands in your hair, the feel of his lips on your skin. And in that moment, all the pain of the past few months melted away, leaving only the love that had always been there.

HIIIII @marquisev first of all I'm so sorry for the late return!
And how are you? I hope you are well! And I heard that school is back in session and if you are still studying I wish you a good school year!
The Prince and the Spy
This episode was simply amazing I loved the way Serenity and Constantine's relationship was written Even I don't think I could write them that accurately Your description of the scenes and the writing of the dialogues are excellent. Also the description in the episode was very nice. And Serenity's interpretation of the overlord meeting from her perspective, where she expressed her opinions about Alastor and how she found it strange that his act had changed so much, was also very well written. And I was really glad that we got a little glimpse of Hürrem. In one word it was great
—----------
Assistant and detective
YIPPE MORE HÜRREM AAAA!!!!
Hurrem's dialogues are really fun to read.I've already warmed up to his personality.Hürrem has self-confidence and wants to achieve the glory that lies before her.Even though she is a little nervous on this path, she is someone who does not let herself be crushed and chooses her words well in a conversation.
I really liked the writing of the dialogues. And my god, you really write and describe Constantine wonderfully, every move and every speech is written wonderfully, it's just perfect!!He has an extremely calm demeanor, speaks with care and never tries to crush Hürrem, he shows her kindness and respect.
The part where Hurrem wanders around hell looking for the meeting point was nice, and her little dialogue with Gio already gives a nice preview of their dynamic!
-
It's really fun to read about Gio and Hurrem's relationship, they have a really great dynamic.I really liked the jokes in between, it makes the reader warm up to the characters quickly.its like A spin-off series like Helluva Boss , although the main series is more story-oriented, here we get to know Hell much better thanks to the characters.Seriously great write up
And I think that the duties of the two are well explained in the chapter and Hurrem's situation as Goetia is also well touched upon. You captured that serious and playful vibe perfectly. And I really liked Gio's inner thoughts too.In general, the way you wrote him is great. The Judy and Nick vibe between Hurrem is very nice!!
*It's so cute how Hürrem makes parrot sounds when
she gets angry!

Popcorn
My eyes are blessed, Maid Verdelet is so beautiful
And congratulations on 200 kudos!!! Honestly you deserve so much more!!
And I don't know exactly what kudos is too, but I think it's something like ‘ like’, which means "thanks for writing this fanfic.”
-
And yes, the introduction of Baxter! It was really fun to watch that little animatic. I'm really curious about the impact Baxter will have on the story.
I think the interactions between Baxter and Lolica would be really interesting and I think they could be friends. Lolicia could be one of the people Baxter talks to the most at the hotel.
LOLICIA'S NEW OUTFIT OMG IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!!!YOU SERIOUSLY DESIGN GREAT CLOTHES.LOLICIA'S NEW HAIR STYLE IS GREAT TOO SERIOUSLY READY FOR BATTLE!
—---
Before battle
The scene at the beginning of the episode where Alator was hallucinating was really nice. I think it added a great air of mystery to the episode, and as always, it was great to read Alastor's inner thoughts.I find the details you put in your dream really clever. It's nice to see such small details for both the future of the story and Alastor's own story.
I really like the way you portray Charlie, her interactions with Alastor are so beautiful to read. And I liked that she talked about the hotel's condition, so we can learn what the hotel is currently like.
The detail of Alastor not liking Precious really made me laugh.
Alastor's interpretation of Charlie's movements was really nice, and the dialogue that Charlie talked about caught my attention.
‘’I can understand that! she laughed heartily. I made mistakes for a long time and a lot of people don't want to see me again either’’
Charlie??
YAAY the part where Alastor remembered Serenity's memory was so cute!!
Alastor's advice to Charlie was also great!
The part where Alastor discusses his strategy with himself and thinks about his enemies and allies was really good.
I can't wait to see Charlie's reaction to him after this little massacre he's about to commit.
—--------
IS IT AN EPISODE FROM LOLICAN'S MEMORY??? WHAT IS HAPPENING???There were too many details, too many descriptions in that memory section?? That part was really well written.Who and what is coming for her!???
There are so many questions, I can't wait for this scene to be illuminated in the future!
First of all, it was great to read Alastor and Lolicia's conversation and planning as always. You really write their relationship wonderfully.
And is Vittorio okay?? Please don't let anything happen to the little guy, there's no need to cause emotional damage to Lolica like this….
And yipppe they're finally heading towards the forest I'm already so excited for the chaos those two will cause.
—--
I'M SERIOUSLY GLAD YOU LIKE THE DRAWINGS!!❤️❤️
—-
Chapter 77 Fairy Ointment
It was really nice to get to know Lysander in this episode, I liked the parts about his childhood or the little fairy ointment story. And again, it was great to learn about Lysander's personality traits, his likes and dislikes, and to see his perspective on hell. The episode had a slightly mysterious and really nice atmosphere, the descriptions were good as always, I can picture all the scenes.
—---
Chapter 78 nettle breeze
The action scenes in the episode are very clever, even though Lys is the weak than the two in the book he know How to use forest for himself, and I think it's very nice that poison and mushrooms come to the fore in the war.I really think the war scenes are well described, it's really fun to read. The internal dialogues between Lolicia and Alastor as they interpret the events are also really nice. And despite Alastor killing sinners, they’re resurrected again and again. And the mushroom effect on them reminds me of Last of Us
I Imagine the sinners turning into more mushroom zombies every time they die.It was a really good episode, action-wise.
–
Pt2
OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING???????First of all, I am amazed by the general culture you have with each episode. I did not know that nettle had such an important place in Scandinavian mythology. And everything is so detailed, from the type of tree Leiv died on to the meaning of the braids he knitted for fishing. Just wow I seriously learn new things in every episode thanks to you.
And DRAMA AND PAIN I NEVER THOUGHT THAT LEIV AND LOLICA WERE HUSBAND AND WIFE WHAT????
And the scene where Lolicia finally recognizes Leiv and reveals her identity was so beautiful and the way s Leiv shed tears was SO BEAUTIFUL
I really liked the dialogues Lolicia used there 'You called yourself my guardian but you died before me’
And for God's sake how did Leiv make enemies that they impaled him on a tree with a sword????
Also in the previous episodes Lolica was being chased by someone, what's going on?And why did they both go to hell, what did they do?
Overall, I really liked the emotional atmosphere of the episode. I think you did a great job of introducing the connection between Leiv and Lolicia.Seriously lolicia's confrontation with Leiv was so sweet
Yeeey finally Alastor's shadow brought news!!
WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S BROKEN, NO!!!???
And the water rising in the last scene AAAA I'M SO EXCITED
—--------
Popcorn: I think Leiv's design is simply amazing and very creative, he really has a great design. And it was really cool to read the details about the design!
—-------
chapter 81 The bear,Gold &heir saga
YAAAY YOUNG LEIV AND LOLICA
This episode's atmosphere was very nice, it reminded me of old folklore animations. The animations and storytelling are made by the studio that made Wolfwalkers.
I really warmed up to Leiv as a character. Even though he made the people under him work like slaves, his interactions with Lolicia were really fun to read. It was sweet to see Leiv get embarrassed or excited in front of her.
AND this episode left me with a lot of questions about Lolica having the Snow White passive
And ‘'and the girl with the amber eyes and golden halo’’
Facts like the color of Lolicia's hair, the fact that animals don't attack her, and the fact that she came all the way from New Orleans without a boat make the event really interesting.
So was Lolica an Saint l before and then she fell? Or was she in New Orleans when she died or was she never human? What's going on right now?
The song between Lolicia and Leiv was really beautifully written lyrically, I really liked the song
And it makes a lot more sense why Leiv referred to Lolicia as an angel.
Seriously, I have so many questions in my mind and thanks to your writing style , I look at every detail again and everything can be related to the story.
The episode was great for both getting to know Leiv better and learning more about Lolicia!!
—--
Popcorn
DAMN LEIV IS HANDSOME Seriously your design talent is amazing Leiv's design is really beautiful And it was so much fun reading the information you wrote about him.
I think you have really great drawing skills.
THE SKETCH YOU MADE IS SO GOOD!!! IT WAS GREAT TO SEE THE HUMAN LOLICIA AND LEIV'S JUMPS ON HIS WIFE'S LAP AND SEEKS CONsolation IS SO CUTE TOO
—--
Chapter 83 The calving of glaciers
THIS EPISODE WAS SO AWESOME
I love everything about this episode so much
First of all, I've said this a few times, but I love the way you write Charlie, she stands her ground and also worries about her friends and tries to protect those around her.But she also knows that she can show her power to take control of the situation if she wants to.
Charlie talking to Husk about Angel was really nice, I really liked the dialogue between them. And I love The way you write Husk, as the depressed old but wise bartender, even though he's had too much to drink, sometimes he gives the best advice.
The scene where Charlie notices the water on the ground and tries to call Vaggie but her voice doesn't come out was really nice.
And Constantine's warning to Charlie was really very logical, as a reader I said, okay, something must be going very wrong.
And I think the warning system is really creative and logical!
I really liked the confrontation between Charlie and Alastor. Charlie not giving in or retreating despite Alastor's objections really suited her character.
In general, I liked the episode very much. The descriptions are good, it is a preparation for the other episodes, the general atmosphere of tension and mystery is very good.
—--
Episode 84 The Calving of Glaciers
HOW CAN YOU INCREASE THE QUALITY SO MUCH IN EVERY EP?
I don't know where to begin praising this episode.
Lolicia's reactions to the events were SO good Fitzroy's betrayal was really effective in the story, and Lolicia being cornered for Vittorio really increased the tension in the story.
I really loved the dialogue between Fitzroy and Lolica, there was great tension and I really wondered what Lolicia's next move would be.
VITTORIO DID NOT DESERVE THIS. HE WAS ONLY PROTECTING HIS FRIEND. DISHONORABLE FITZROY I HOPE LOLICA BEAT HIS ASS
Also, the scene where Fitzroy throws Vittorio's severed arm in front of Lolicia is very impressive. Also Fitzroy's purpose in entering the Maze actually made sense and Lolicia remembered Serenity's words where it was really nice.
LOLICIA'S DEVIL FORM????? A VERY HIGH-QUALITY ACTION IS COMING, BABY!!!!
-
I really liked how Charlie was so worried about Lolicia and it makes perfect sense that Alastor was trying to hold her back 'believe me my Dear , as someone who has experienced it, I advise you not to do this’
IT'S SO COOL THAT LOLICAN'S SONG IS A VERSION OF GET IN THE WATER AND I LOVED THE LYRICS YOU WROTE
Every stage Lolicia goes to her demon form is so cool, you described it perfectly
NOOO LOLICIA HAS TRAPPED THEM IN A BUBBLE OF SILENCE CHARLIE DO SOMETHING GIRL!!…Your friend losing her control a bit…But of course, as a reader, I wouldn't say no to cool scenes and I'm very excited right now.
I really liked Charlie asking if Alastor was manipulating Lolicia. The fact that She made a move with the information she had and questioned Alastor was really nice.
And I really love how you added Precious to Charlie's scenes, it's a nice reminder that she's there too.
It was nice that Alastor laughed and rejected the question 'who am I to manipulate her’
And Constantine gives another warning message
things are getting worse.’
YAAAAAAY DRAMA AND ACTION
And Alastor says he's seen Lolicia like this before YIPPE FLASHBACK IS COMING!!
—-
Chapter 85
YEEEY FLASHBACK I think Alastor made the mistake of his life by going after Lolicia, but we'll see.
I can understand Alastor's questions, why is Lolicia so powerful if she's not doing the things the Overlords do to gain power?
AWWW Alastor remembers him trying to comfort Serenity because of her fear of the dark.
The scene where Lolicia appears from the darkness is so cool!
+I liked her dress
The indifference and ego that Alastor showed before he was defeated by Lolica was really funny I mean, with all this arrogance, it's a great chance not to lose to anyone today, you know what they say, radio demon, arrogance and pride are the things that blind a person the most.
Did he grab her chin? Alastor seriously where is the gentlemanliness in war? Tch tch tch
Okay, I loved Lolicia's cold and professional attitude in this war, it was very cool.It was also very good that she said 'you are too weak' to him specially when she had all the cards.
The poetic words that Lolicia said were really beautiful, I thought they were all very meaningful.
The last 3 warnings Lolicia gave to Alastor were really cool. In general, I really liked Lolicia's attitude in the episode. It was very fun to read.
She acts very noble and mysterious and You are very good at describing the environment and characters.
Then, the part where Alastor walks around injured and questions his actions and mistakes is really good. Then, in the part where Zestial comes to Alastor and gives a speech,It's always nice to read Alastor and Zestial's dialogues. And at the end of the episode it was nice to finally have an alastor who had suffered losses and probably learned from his mistakes.Because if he hides that ego, he won't be able to stay there for a long time.
In general, I really liked everything in this episode, the character dialogues, Lolicia's writing, Alastor's writing, the events, everything.
10/10
