Honesty the war doctor begins has some great stuff in it and while to be fair the master of callous storyline is not technically a war story, (it's about the very fringes of the war and even if everything happens because of the war, it's only ever suggested) it's one of the best story to ever come out of big finish

i'll always be a little meh towards the new who version of the time war because frankly the eu versions that came before were so much tastier than "the time lords and daleks fight until the doctor has to destroy them both" but i'll hand it to the Gallifrey audios because "the time war was started because of a desperate act born out of someone putting love for a person before their love for the state" slaps actually.
