Anonymous: Can we get y/n going to cal and telling him she doesn’t want kids and she’s worried he’ll leave her?
Bit of an emotional blurb here! Where Calum and reader meet Michael’s new baby, and reader decides its time to tell Calum that they have no plans to have children anytime in the future. As always, feedback is appreciated! I hope you enjoy a bit more of uncle!Calum, as well as him being a supportive partner! Thank you as always to @calumrose for brainstorming this with me♥️
“I can’t believe she’s here.”
You’ve never seen Calum look at someone so intently. His focus is fixed on the bundle of blankets in his arms, and had been since Michael had placed her there just moments earlier — with a overly cautious dad-like ‘make sure you support her head, man.’
The whole family have been long awaiting the arrival of the newest member of the Clifford family. Ever since he and his partner had announced that they were expecting, it was all everyone had discussed whenever you got together — names, godparents, who would be the best babysitter... the list was endless. Calum had cried when Michael asked him to be her godparent, a role he promised to take very seriously.
“I know, it’s crazy, right?” Michael replies, his gaze soft as he looks at his best friend and his daughter. You sit to Calum’s right, your pointer finger reaching out to lightly stroke her cheek.
Your heart aches a little as you watch them.
You and Calum hadn’t really had that conversation yet. Everytime somebody mentioned children, whether it was on TV or a friend, you’d brushed it off — joking about how children were too messy, too loud, anything you could think of to shut the conversation down. Calum never said much, either — he didn’t agree with you, but he didn’t argue either. It was a private conversation that needed to be had, between the two of you.
“Wait until you can babysit, get some practice in for your own.” Michael’s partner comments, making your heart drop into your stomach when Calum smiles at her words.
“We’ll see.” Calum replies quietly, too busy running his thumb over the apple of Harper’s cheek, her skin flushed from sleep as he cradled her.
We’ll see.
What does that mean? Calum’s viewpoint on having children had never been clear, yet this made you more unsure. It made your stomach turn to think that he could possibly not be on the same page as you.
“Do you want to hold her, babe?” Calum asks, gently nudging you to catch your attention. You nod, holding your arms out for Calum to slowly and under Michael’s watchful eye, very carefully, place her in your arms. Tears well in your eyes as you look at her, how she curls in towards you as you adjust her in your arms. Calum’s hand rests on your thigh, a small show of affection as he looks at the tiny baby. He slips his finger in between her tiny ones. “Look at her little hands.”
“She’s so sweet,” You smile, suddenly feeling as though all of the attention was on you and Calum — watching as he put his arm around your shoulders. You held her for a few moments longer, until she curled her legs up and let out the first hiccup of a cry — Michael instantly jumping into action.
“Shall I take her?” Michael asks, waiting until you nod before scooping her up out of your arms and rocking her in his. Calum sends you a warm smile, and you smile back — but doesn’t reach your eyes. Calum notices.
***
Your quietness lasts into the car journey home.
You think Calum hasn’t noticed — his non-stop excited chatter about everything he plans to do with Harper, how happy he is for Michael, occupies the space. He has, though. He’s talking more to fill the silence as if he thinks that’ll stop you from thinking about whatever is weighing on your mind. He knows he can’t avoid it forever though.
He notices the faraway look on your face, in your eyes — it’s one he’s seen before, and he knows it means you’re deep in thought. He isn’t sure what about, although he’s not oblivious to the fact that you’ve been acting this way since meeting Harper.
He doesn’t bring it up until after dinner, when you’re sat in your usual spot on the sofa, hands running through Duke’s fur. It seems like a nervous thing — like a distraction from whatever was making you feel so anxious.
“Darling?” He tries, picking Duke up and setting him down in his lap, so he could sit next to you. “What’s going on?”
You can’t bear to say it.
The thought of him reacting in the same way as most family members and friends did, made your stomach turn. There was no escaping it though. It was a conversation that had ended a relationship before. You hope deep in your heart that it wouldn’t end this one too.
“Calum...” You start, taking a deep breath before continuing. He furrows his eyebrows in concern, like he had no idea what you were going to say — like he was bracing himself for what was to come. “I don’t really know how to say this. I hate having this conversation, but after today, I just feel like I need to tell you.”
He nods, his heart rate increasing as the feeling that you’re about to drop a bombshell on him becomes more apparent. He doesn’t rush you, though. Just waits for you to carry on.
“I don’t want to have children.” You admit, covering your face with your hand as a few tears slip at the statement. “Not ever. And after seeing you with Harper today, I just... I don’t know if you feel the same way.”
Calum can’t help but feel a sense of relief at your words. With the way you were acting, he felt as though what you were going to say was much worse.
“Hey,” He soothes, wrapping his arm around your shoulders and pulling you close to him. He moves Duke out of his lap to create space for you — so he can hold you as close as possible. “Listen to me, gorgeous. You don’t have to worry about that, okay? Whatever you want is okay. I’m right here with you.”
You can’t help but sob against his neck, like everything you had been feeling had built up to the point where it was all coming out. His warm palms are soothing against your back, moving up and down in a comforting gesture. He just waits until you catch your breath a little — until your tears slow down to where they’re only occasionally slipping down your cheeks.
“Talk to me.” He almost whispers, knowing you weren’t finished, that there was more than you already said. He didn’t know that it ran so deep. He wasn’t sure why it was such a huge deal, but he wanted to know. “I’m listening, babe. Whatever you’re thinking.”
“Everyone makes me feel like I’m crazy for not wanting my own children.” You explain, wiping underneath your eyes to get rid of the tears as they fell. You thought back to everytime it came up in conversation. How your parents told you you’d change your mind when you found ‘the one,’ yet Calum was right in front of you, and you knew it still wasn’t what you wanted. “It makes me feel like a bad person. Like my life isn’t going to be fulfilled if I don’t give my parents grandchildren.”
Calum shakes his head.
“That’s not true, my love.” He replies, not wanting to invalidate your fears, but also hurting over the fact that you had kept it bottled up for so long. “You do not need to have children just for your parents sake. Or for anyone, for that matter. You’re not a bad person for not wanting that, okay? Far from it. You’re my favourite person in the world.”
A small smile graces your lips, followed by the genre pressure of Calum placing his against yours in a soft kiss. You felt much better for getting your feelings out, for explaining everything — as well as hearing Calum’s reassurances. Although, you can’t get the image of Calum holding Harper out of your head.
“What about you, though?” You ask tearfully, trying not to let your emotions get the better of you once more. Your voice wavers as you speak, and it makes Calum’s heart ache that thinking about him in all of this caused that.
“What about me?”
“I saw how you looked at Harper,” You sigh sadly, thinking about the content expression on his face as he held the sweet baby. “Don’t you want that for yourself? To have your own baby?”
Calum thinks to himself for a moment. He thinks about how deeply in love he is with you, how content he is with his relationship — and how not deeply he had thought about having children. It was always one of those things where if it happens, great, but if it doesn’t — that’s fine too. It was never an absolute when he thought about his life. He knows that if he has to choose between you and having children — he chooses you, everytime.
“I want you to be happy,” He states, like it was the simplest thing in the world. He means it. His hand gently grips your face, tilting your chin so you’re looking right at him. He thumb softly wipes away any remaining tears on your cheeks. “And if not having children is what is going to make you happy, then that’s what we’ll do.”
“Are you sure?”
He nods, moving closer until his nose nudges yours.
“Yeah, besides, it means I don’t have to share you with anyone else.” Calum confirms, smiling when a relieved giggle escapes your lips at his words. “Well, apart from Duke. You give him enough attention as it is.”
“Shut up,” You laugh, playfully hitting his chest as you reach over for Duke and set him down in between the two of you. “Duke is less needy than you.”
“Yeah, yeah.” He rolls his eyes, pulling you closer until your head is resting on his shoulder. “Seriously though, babe. Think about it. We’re about to spend the evening arguing over what to watch before sleeping for 12 hours, with no interruptions. Michael will be lucky to get three hours sleep tonight, until he wakes up to a screaming baby.”
“Exactly my point.” You reply. “We just get to do the fun stuff, like cuddle her until she cries and then give her back.”
He nods, sighing contently as he begins to scroll through Netflix. You finally feel as though you can calm down — like there was no longer the burden of wondering how Calum would feel about your plans on not having children. As you sit there, trying not to fall asleep after winning the debate on what to watch — you realise this is what you want your life to be.
“Being the fun uncle sounds like a good plan to me, babe.”

Letting out a groan, you slunk back into the chair in your bedroom whilst glaring at the horrible pieces of fabric in front of you. Choosing a bathing suit for a beach day should absolutely not be this hard, yet here you were ready to pack it up and call it quits.
When Masumi had invited you to the Mankai Company’s beach day out, you almost launched your phone out the window from sheer excitement. He usually preferred to keep you to himself, so the chance to hang out with his fellow theater members was huge. You had met them a few times and they had welcomed you with open arms, saying things around the lines of it being “good that Masumi has someone else now,” whatever that meant. Come to think of it, you hadn’t met the director either. The entire company spoke so highly of her, so it was a wonder why Masumi had tried his best to make it so you two don’t meet.
“I like the one on the right.”
Shooting up from your chair, you looked at your boyfriend who had entered your room whilst you were marinating in your little thought bubble.”It makes your eyes look pretty.” How did he say stuff like that with a straight face?
Asking him to toss you your coverup, you walked into the bathroom to change and felt the nerves build up in your stomach. Surely Izumi was a wonderful person or else everyone wouldn’t be so fond of her. But… why did Masumi get so weird everytime she was mentioned? Every uttering of her name by someone caused his demeanor to change completely. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but he almost seemed stressed or worried. Was she treating him badly? You’d absolutely stick for him if necessary - he really was a sweet and caring boy despite that harsh exterior of his. Maybe Izumi just hadn’t gotten to know him yet, but you’d make sure she knows how amazing he can be.
Exiting the bathroom and reaching for his hand, Masumi gave you a soft smile. “You really do look beautiful.” Bumping his shoulder with yours, you gave a playful, “Not so bad yourself,” before giggling and getting ready to leave and meet up with the rest of the troupes.
This day was going to be nothing short of incredible!
Tumblr media
At first, the beach was nothing short of the most fun day of your life. Upon joining the rest of Mankai, you first saw Banri and Juza duking it out over who got to smash the watermelon open only for Tsuzuru to get tired of their bickering and come over to rain hell on the poor fruit himself (where he got the upper body strength to do so you had absolutely no idea.) Omi was teaching Muku about the wonders of grilling while Azuma, Itaru and Hisoka were under a nearby umbrella - the first two not wanting to be in the sun and the latter not wanting to be awake at all. Kazunari was trying to drag Tenma and Sakuya into a beach day photoshoot, one being far more willing than the other, as Taichi fawned over Yuki’s cute yet simple bathing suit as they walked down the shoreline. The rest of the members were scattered about, smiles abound and laughter filling up the entire beach. The first hour or so between you and Masumi was spent splashing around the water, a few short and sweet kisses shared between the two of you at the expense of Banri’s teasing and Homare’s prose about young love or something of the sort.
Which lead you to right now - a sweet moment between you two cuddling on the same towel shattered by the reality of why exactly Izumi had been such a well kept secret from you.
For what it was worth, Izumi herself was an absolute gem. She clearly cared about every single person she worked with, Masumi included which cured your earlier worries, and took pride in the talents of the boys she so lovingly built up and helped hone their acting skills. It would be foolish of someone not to like her.
Something you realized Masumi went a little too far with.
“It’s so nice to meet you! I almost thought Masumi was lying about having a partner since I never got to meet you myself, I’m so glad you were able to come.” Geez, that’s one hell of a grip. “I could say the same for you,” you laughed, “It was almost like Masumi-,” you suddenly cut off upon turning and seeing Masumi’s face. It could be described as nothing but pure adoration.
For a moment, you thought he was just admiring the woman who’s helped him become a better actor and a better person. But a few seconds passed and it was evident that the look held so much more than that. He’d never even come close to showing you that type of love in his eyes, like he’d fight until his last breath if it meant you’d be happy. The smile slowly dropped from your face and your throat suddenly felt tight. This was why, you decided in that moment, this was why he had kept you from Izumi from so long. Not because he hated her, but because he loved her. He loved her so much to the point where you could only assume he didn’t even love you a fraction of the amount he loved her.
Your hand dropped out of his and he didn’t even notice, instead asking Izumi about how her day was, where she got her suit, if she liked his. She went to answer his unending list of questions, but caught sight of the heartbroken look you sported and you watched as guilt overtook her face. She knew, she absolutely knew how he felt for her and she couldn’t do anything about it. “Um, Masumi… do you mind giving me and your partner here a moment to talk?” You could see his metaphorical tail wagging, “Anything for you, director.” He turned back to you to give you a kiss on the cheek, and his lips felt like molten lava against your skin.
Watching as he walked over towards Omi to grab a snack, Izumi took your hand in hers. “I’m so sorry. I-” she tried to figure out the words for a moment, “I really thought he was over this. When he had told us about you it was so refreshing to see him placing his love into someone who could actually reciprocate it.” You didn’t realize you were crying until she wiped away your tears. “You deserve better than this, it’s my fault for forcing him to let me meet you-” “It’s not.” Your voice didn’t even sound like your own at this point. “It’s not your fault he loves you. I should’ve realized something was up when he kept us separated for so long.”
You reached up to wipe your tears on your own this time as she pulled you into a hug. God, of course Masumi loved her, you could tell how kind she was just from the interaction. She got close to your ear just in case anyone was listening, “If you want to leave I understand.” It didn’t seem like a terrible idea, rather it was probably the best thing you could do right now. The embarrassment you’d have to face having a full on breakdown in front of everyone would only amplify your already fragile state. “I probably will do that… thank you Tachibana-san, and please don’t blame yourself for this.” She separated from you and gave you a quick glance before walking over towards Tsumugi and Sakyo as you went to gather your things and make your way back home. You would deal with talking to Masumi about this tomorrow, right now would be way too much for you to handle- “___!” I was so close too.
You turned around to see him jogging towards you, confusion littered on his face. “Are you leaving already? The sun isn’t even setting yet.” Be subtle, tactile, there’s no reason to start anything here… actually, fuck it. “Why didn’t you tell me you were in love with Izumi?” Upon hearing this, he was completely speechless. He tried to get over her so badly, he wanted nothing more than to make this work between the two of you but something about his director just kept him coming back, even when he didn’t want to. “... I didn’t think you’d notice.”
A dry, humorless laugh left your body, “You were practically falling over her feet, I’d have to be an idiot not to notice.” There was a short moment of silence between you, with Masumi knowing he was guilty and you debating on letting your next set of words out - but your mouth started moving before your brain could tell it to stop. “I think we should stop seeing each other.”
Masumi was never the most emotional or expressive person, but you could see how much that statement stabbed him in the heart. He wanted to tell you no, that you could make it work, but he knew deep down he had no right to ask something of you. Who knew how long it’d be before he was able to properly rid his feelings for Izumi? He tried his hardest not to let his tears fall, while you gave up on doing the same long ago. A soft and broken, “Okay,” came from him and you could tell he had pages and pages of words he wanted to speak to you to try and convince you otherwise but you knew a lost cause when you saw it.
The two of you made eye contact and you let him know you hoped he’d be able to find someone else, he’d be able to fix himself and stop letting his unrequited love run every part of his life. As you turned to walk back home, your heart now nothing more than a heavy weight in your chest, he called out one last attempt to get his feelings across. “I love you, ___.”
You stopped and stood there, knowing that if you turned around you’d run back to him. You deserved better than that.
“No, you don’t.”

Tumblr media
Moving back to Florida was never in her plans. It wasn’t something she dreamed of when she left as soon as she finished high school. She had big dreams, but big dreams don’t always come through. And after waiting tables for a few years in New York, she found that out the hard way. She couldn’t afford rent in New York - who could? But she had been lucky enough to meet a guy at a bar one night. He had clearly been slumming it and things moved pretty quickly. It wasn’t long before she was moving into his Upper East Side townhouse.
He brought her to all these fancy parties, introducing him to all his friends in publishing. And when she thought things couldn’t get any better, she walked in on him fucking another women. She had no other choice but to pack up her things and go. And off she went back to Florida. She hadn’t given up her dreams. She was going to be a writer, a published one some day. But instead of meeting with publishers in New York, she would write her American classic in her trailer in Florida.
And that’s what she was doing for the past two months, she worked in the local diner for the morning and lunch shift. And she wrote in the evening. On her old busted laptop. And if she was lucky she got to ogle her neighbour, Frank. He was a good guy, she knew that. Just from the way he acted around his niece. Roberta had explained everything to her when she moved in. She had invited the new girl around for dinner and Mary had barged in. She told her about the custody battle, about why Mary was so special and about Frank. How special Frank was.
‘Not many men would do that, ya know,’ she said as she served her another helping, her plate piling full of food.
And she would sometimes watch as Frank played with Mary in the backyard. Sometimes she would watch as he stumbled home on a Friday night with another girl from the bar. And she would turn off her lights, and head to bed alone once again. She would usually say hi to him as she walked past him on her way home from work. And as the weeks went past they would exchange pleasantries. Nothing too serious. But she was just so drawn to him. She even wrote about him.
Not in a creepy way.
Okay, how could it not be in a creepy way?
It was sweltering hot outside and she could feel the sweat dripping down the canal between her breasts. Florida summers were the worst, especially in a tiny trailer. She let out a hiss as she stood, her shorts sticking to her, the same way her white tank top was clinging to her skin. It was time for a shower. She stepped the few feet into her bathroom, to turn on the shower.
And nothing.
Not a single drop of water came out of the nozzle. So there she was standing in her bra and panties, and she no other choice but to head outside to figure out what was happening with her water. Wrapping a towel around her frame, she marched out. Right into Frank Adler’s board chest.
‘Shit, Frank! Sorry!’ she gasped, the words falling from her plump lips that mesmerised Frank everytime they talked. He tried to avoid her on Fridays. Because he knew that he wanted to be spending the night with her. He had a schoolboy crush on her ever since she moved in. He had seen her, unloading her shitty car under the sweltering sun two months ago. The way the sweat rolled down her skin set him on edge. And he wanted to lick every part of her body.
He was attracted to like a magnetic.
And he had no idea that she felt that pull just as strongly!
He was on his way to the bar to try and forget her by getting another woman under him. It hadn’t worked, he had moaned her name twice now when he was with someone else. Not his finest moment. But hell, he couldn’t get the image of her in her Daisy Dukes and lowcut tops out of his head. He was obsessed with her. In a non-creepy way. Well...
Now she was standing before him, covering herself with a towel. Her hair falling around her face, and her bra strap falling down her shoulder. He was fucked.
‘You in trouble, Y/N?’ he asked, bringing his eyes back to hers rather than her mouth or her cleavage.
‘My water is off for some reason. I paid the bills so I don’t know why it ain’t working,’ she said with a sigh.
‘I can take a look at it for you?’ he suggested.
‘Naw, you’re headed out. I’m sure you have better things to do than help me on Friday night.’
‘Nothing I would rather do,’ he replied with a quirk of his lips. ‘Look, Mary isn’t home. How about you hop in my shower and I will try my darnedest to fix yours. Scouts honour.’
She laughed at how sincere he was being, but thanked him.
‘That sounds amazing, this heat is driving me insane. I need to shower for my own sanity and for everyone else in this trailer park. I’m sure I stink,’ she rambled, mentally cursing herself.
Frank just smiled at her, ‘Naw, you’re perfect. Go grab your stuff and then you can head over to mine. Same layout as yours, take your time. I won’t interrupt.’
So she did, she took her time washing off the sweat from her body, running her fingers through her hair. Wishing it was Frank, lathering soaps into her locks, kissing over her skin, making her eyes roll back in her head.
Oh, God, she needed to stop. Turning off the water, she stepped out of the shower and began to towel herself off. The bathroom was so tiny, she was afraid that she would break something. So she decided to open the door, Frank was still fixing her shower, what was the harm.
Well, the harm was she opened the door, standing butt naked in the middle of his bathroom, and Frank was walking into his trailer. His body was now covered in a soft sheen of sweat, his torso exposed as he had unbuttoned his shirt as he worked, his dirty blonde hair damp with the humidity. And his eyes were blown wide with lust. He stuttered over his words as she covered herself frantically with her towel.
Both of them were shouting apologies at one another.
‘The bathroom was too small.’
‘I came to grab some more tools’
But it didn’t matter the damage was done. Frank no longer had to imagine what she looked like naked, he knew and his dick was sprinting to life. He could feel it fighting against the constraints of his jeans. And now her eyes were focusing on the bulge in his trousers.
‘Frank...’
‘Y/N, I am so sorry. I-I just...’
How could he explain this?
Fuck it!
He crossed the small trailer to stand in front of her and before she could say another word, his lips were crashing against hers in a dominant and passionate kiss. A kiss that sucked all the air from her lungs, a kiss that had her knees weak, a kiss that made her moan and fall against him. Tongues and teeth clashed as hands explored over their bodies. Her towel was discarded, as she pushed Frank’s printed shirt off his shoulders. He was maneuvering her out of the bathroom, towards his bedroom.
She fell back onto the bed, a gasp falling from her lips as he climbed on top of her.
‘I-I don’t usually do this,’ she whispered as he began to kiss down her neck, living a line of hickies over her skin.
He chuckled, ‘I wish I could say the same but...’
‘Yea, I see your Friday night conquests,’ she teased, a soft gasp escaping her lips as his mouth latched around her hardened nipples. He paid attention to her breasts, his hands kneaded the one that wasn’t being licked, nipped and kissed. And after he had left enough hickies over one, he moved on to the next. She was a whimpering mess and she thought that she may cum from just his attention on her breasts.
She rubbed her legs together in a desperate attempt to get friction for her aching core. Something that didn’t go unnoticed by Frank, who quickly made his move from her breasts to her core.
‘Oh baby girl,’ he groaned, ‘you are absolutely drippin’.’
‘Do ya blame me?’ she replied, rolling her hips up to his mouth.
He tutted playfully before diving in, his tongue dipping into her core making her moan out. Loud enough to wake up half the trailer park, and he didn’t stop. His tongue dipping in and out of her aching core, bringing her to the brink but not letting her fall over.
Not until his tongue flicked over her clit and she couldn’t hold back any longer. Her fingers twisted in his dirty blonde hair, her legs tightening around his head as his beard tickled her inner thighs. Her eyes rolled back in her head as she reached her peak. With another loud whine, she came, her hips jerking into his face. And when she had rode out her high, Frank pulled away, just not to overstimulate her. And his face and beard were soaked with her release making her blush.
‘Aw, hun!’ he cooed, ‘Don’t be shy. Ain’t nothing prettier than your face when it reaches it peak. Lemme see if I can see it again.’
She laughed at his bravado, but didn’t complain as she wrapped her legs around his waist, pulling him closer to him. He shucked his jeans and boxers off quickly and her eyes widened at the sight of him. His length stood to attention from a tuft of black curls and her mouth was watering at the sight of it. She moved to take him in her mouth, but he pushed her back on the bed.
‘Nuh-uh sweetie, not this time. I need to be in you as soon as I can,’ he groaned as he moved to grab a condom from his night stand. It didn’t take long until he had rolled it down his considerable length. And all she could think was ‘not this time’ meaning that this wasn’t any Friday night fling. He wanted to do this again. She almost laughed at the thought, but all thoughts were pushed out of her head as he pushed inside her. And she cried out, her back arching, her hand stretching behind her to grip the comforter. He began to thrust in and out of her slowly, her moans growing louder and louder.
The noises she made just egged him on, turned him on even more, and his hips quickened, snapping against hers. And his hand went from by her head to grip the headboard of his bed, giving him more traction so he could continue his brutal pace. He needed to hear those sweet moans, they were music to his ears. He had never in his life heard anything so sweet and he wanted to hear it as much as possible.
Her moans were growing louder as she could feel her second orgasm fast approach. She never had much luck with guys making her cum in the past. And here he was, her devilishly handsome neighbour, who was sweet and kind and perfect. Actually perfect. Her fingers dug into his back, as her back arched and his name moaned as she came once again. Her release covering Frank’s dick as he continued to fuck her roughly. Drawing her orgasm out and before she could even think, propelling her into her third.
The feeling of her tightening around his cock not once but twice was driving him nuts. He knew he couldn’t hold his orgasm off for much longer and when she moaned his name again he finally released. Her name falling from his lips as he collapsed on top of her.
They lay there breathing for a moment, before Frank rolled off her, dumping the condom and cleaning himself and her up.
‘I-I should go,’ she whispered, beginning to get up.
‘You don’t have to. Mary won’t be back until after twelve tomorrow. I would really like you to stay and then maybe we could go see a movie or something tomorrow evening. If you aren’t busy!’
She smiled, snuzzling into his chest as they both lay down in his bed.
‘Yea, yea, I would really like that.’

Happy, but not with him(CH)
Tumblr media
Summary: Calum meets a girl at a bar but it turns out she’s married.
Words: 1.7K
Warnings: smut, curse words cheating
A/N: Here’s another shitty attempt at writing and getting back into tumblr and posting. I want to say that while I don’t condone cheating, it is something that happens a lot and it sucks. Nobody should ever be cheated on or be used to cheat with. Thank you to @myloverboyash for helping and hyping me up everytime I want to give up. I LOVE YOU!
The first time he saw her, he was taken aback by her beautiful eyes and smile, the way her hands would linger longer than normal on the person she talked to. He noticed the way her tongue would dart out and lick the glass she was sipping on. Calum was entranced by her beauty and everything about her. Conveniently, they frequented the same bars and clubs. She showed up with her friends and he would do the same, buying her whiskey or bourbon from across the bar.
It wasn’t until one day Crystal introduced them, her name falling of her lips like sweet honey. Her voice had Calum in a trance instantly. To finally know her name and hear her voice was everything to him.
“Finally get to know the man who sends me home drunk every weekend.” She laughed as her hand was placed playfully on his chest, the touch sending shivers through his body.
“I’m a true gentleman, never let a lady buy her own drinks.” He raised his glass on a mock toast, taking a sip right after as she let her hand fall. They talked for the rest of the night, and Calum would be lying if he said he didn’t want to take her home. She kept touching his shoulder and chest, accidentally holding on to his arms when she talked and it had him going insane.
“Going to the bathroom, I’ll be back.” She looked at Calum for a couple minutes before grabbing her drink and chugging it down, not making any faces at the familiar burn of bourbon. On her way to the bathroom, she could feel Calum staring at her as she swayed her hips making the thin sundress move exaggeratedly.
On the bathroom sink she looked at her own reflection and noticed how dizzy she was, but she wasn’t sure that it was all because of the alcohol. Just as she opened her purse to grab her lipstick, the shiny diamond glistened in the dim lighting and she sighed as the bathroom door opened. Her hands quickly fumbled to get the ring back in as Calum walked in and she turned around, her hands on his chest as he stepped closer. He grabbed her chin to lift her face, his eyes searching for regret as he pressed his lips to hers and she locked the door.
She turned her body around, Calum instantly moving his hands to the supple skin of her thighs when the dress pulled up to her waist. No words were spoken as he trailed kisses on the exposed skin of her back and his free hand pulled the thin material of her underwear down before going between her thighs and collecting her arousal with his fingers, spreading it on her thighs before his other hand pressed her back down. He unbuckled his belt and pulled out his already hard cock, lining himself up and entering her slowly as she moaned and held on to the counter top.
“Fuck.” Calum groaned at the sight, her eyes hooded and lips parted as she watched him on the mirror behind her. His thrusts became sloppy and he brought his fingers to her center again, rubbing circles on her clit as she came and moaned his name continuously.
“I’m gonna pull out.” Calum did as he said, her body moving to her knees after pulling her panties up. She took his cock on her hands and looked up at him before taking him in her mouth, he threw his head back in pleasure as her cheeks hollowed and he came. His breath hitched in his throat at the sight in front of him before she got up to fix herself and walked out of the bathroom with a smirk.
After that first rendezvous, it became clear to Calum that he needed her for more than one night. It was obvious that they wanted each other sexually, but he wasn’t sure that she was there for the emotional part. The second time it happened it was in his car, the windows fogging up as he made her come multiple times and she moaned his name, the sound music to his ears. He was completely smitten with her.
One day during a get together at Ashton’s, they brought her up and Calum was smiling from ear to ear until they asked why he never brought her along to parties and why they didn’t see each other often. They asked if he’d met her family and what she did for a living or when she wasn’t at bars.
All these questions were being thrown and him and he didn’t know how to respond, so he turned to Crystal who had turned red.
“Crys introduced us actually. What’d you say she does? Interior designer right?” He took a long gulp of the bottle in his hand, realizing that he was falling for a girl he knew nothing about based on the great sex they were having.
“Uh yeah. Listen Cal, can I- uh- can you help me get more stuff out for the grill?” She removed herself from Michael’s lap and walked inside with Calum in tow, his brain racing with what she might have to say.
“Have you been to her house?” Crystal asked as she opened Ashton’s fridge, Calum shaking his head with confusion.
“No, we always meet at the bar or she comes to mine.”
“Listen, I should’ve told you from the beginning. I shouldn’t have introduced you in the first place. But she practically begged me to.”
“What’re you talkin’ about?” He placed his beer on the island and stood next to her.
“This has been going on for months and I can tell that she’s going to do the same that she’s done to others. I’m so sorry Cal. I-”
“Just spill it.”
“She’s married.” His world came crashing down and he understood all her excuses. The times that he had asked to go on a proper date where he picked her up and she declined. She never let him drive her home, always caught an uber after being at his place or the bar. Now Calum was heartbroken and he blamed nobody but himself for falling for her like that. He should’ve known that she wasn’t good.
He walked out of the kitchen and got in his car, the sound of a call coming through echoing inside the SUV. His fingers swept over the end button before he answered and tried to sound as normal as possible.
“Hey doll, what’s up?”
“Cal, c-can I come over? I need to talk to you.” She sniffled on the phone and he could tell she had been crying. He was confused because he wanted to comfort her and help her, but he was angry that she had been lying to him when she knew how he felt.
“Uh, yeah. Need me to pick you up?”
“No, I’m close. I can walk.” Her hurried answered made him grip the steering wheel as they said goodbyes and he pulled into his driveway. She was sitting on the stairs her face in her hands as he noticed the shiny ring on her finger.
“Cal, please listen to me. I’m sorry okay? I didn’t mean for you to fall for me. I didn’t want this to happen. I ju-” Her words stalled when Calum pushed her body off of him, the anger boiling inside of him as she tried to hug him.
“Mind explaining why you lied? You’re fucking married! You’re a cheater and liar.” He opened the door and walked in, her trailing behind him as they were met with a barking Duke.
“Remember when I said that my last relationship hadn’t been the greatest? Well I was talking about him. He said he didn’t want me, that’s why I would go to the bar and get wasted. You started buying me drinks from afar and I liked it, it made me feel wanted. Like someone cared, someone was finding me attractive and it felt good. I was finally getting attention that I wasn’t receiving at home.” Tears streamed down her cheeks as she sat on the stool and Calum pulled another beer from the fridge, a nonchalant look on his face.
“Does he know?”
“Yes.” She shyly admitted as his fist slammed on the granite top. He nodded and looked out the doors as rain begin to fall, silence falling over them. There was nothing that anyone could say right now to fix his broken heart. Not only had he finally opened up, but he had begun to love someone after so many years and got his heart broken. A couple chugs later, he had finished his beer and retrieved the bottle of Jack from the cupboard, taking gulps out of it.
“Leave.”
“I’m so sorry Calum. Look it wasn’t my in-“ She pleaded as he opened the patio door and she followed.
“I told you to fucking leave. I don’t want to see your fucking face. You’re a liar and a cheater. I hope he doesn’t want you back either, you deserve to be alone for the rest of your life.” He pointed at the door but looked away from her, avoiding looking at the tear stains on her cheeks. A few sobs later he heard the door click, already halfway through the bottle of whiskey. Calum laughed as he shook his head and beat himself up about the fact that he had helped a woman cheat. He had been part of something that should’ve never happened.
Weeks passed and Calum had begun to heal, alcohol being a part of the process. He swore that he would never let another girl in his heart that easily, especially not one who fucks you in the bar bathroom. Crystal had apologized because she felt terrible watching him go through that, but Calum didn’t blame her. He had come to learn that she was a very manipulative person to get what she wanted. And he learned that the day he saw her walking hand in hand with him, the ring still on her finger and a little boy with them. Laughter fell from his lips as he noticed how fake her smile was and the sadness in her eyes. She seemed happy, but she wasn’t happy with him.
