As promised it's getting more dramatic! Mashita is living in a nightmare right now, sorry for that! I really like the close relationship between Mashita and Yashiki and the thought of Mashita being protective over him in such a situation. With that in mind I guessed it would hit Mashita pretty hard to witness this scenario. But rage soon overpowers his despair and all he wants in that moment is for The Departed to pay for what they did. Mind that at this point Mashita can't be sure if Yashiki is even still alive (he is of course!). From what he just saw (and what he's experienced in other spirit cases) he could very well be dead. Daimon and Shou are unable to help here (Shou is supposed to be unconsious btw) so Mashita has to find a way to deal with this situation on his own. But I had to get rid of Mashita's gun (also please excuse my bad drawing here, I couldn't get it down any better fow now), because it would casuse too much unwanted attention from patients or hospital staff if he was gonna shoot here. Let's just say The Departed remembered that "trick" from their encounter in the forest and made sure to get rid of it before Mashita could use it again.

As for why Mashita didn't see the others in the room right away: His eyes hadn't adjusted yet to the darkness of the room (it's in the middle of the night). That's my excuse anyway. I hope I chose the right words for describing the sounds in this part! I'm not a native speaker so it's sometimes a bit hard to tell which words would make most sense.

I’m taking the most credits I’ve ever taken during a semester in my life, including two of the hardest classes I’ll ever have to take, which both have a lab. So if I disappear of the face of the earth for a few months, that’s why.

My schedule is awful, too. On Thursdays I have class nonstop from 9am until 6pm, with the longest break between classes being 40 minutes. Idk when I’m supposed to eat… And then there’s my Fridays. Man, I am not used to actually having a full day of classes on Fridays. Like, what do you MEAN I have more than one class today???
