It’s your birthday in a few weeks and you noticed Raihan had been acting weird.

Firstly, he started coming home late.

Like really late.

Secondly, he wouldn’t tell you where he went, just that he had ‘something to sort out’.

Third, he began smelling...strange.

Not so much like aromatic perfume, but more of a musky, earth smell.

When you google up the signs, they all seem to point that your boyfriend of several years could be cheating on you. 

Raihan would never cheat on me, you find yourself thinking to yourself. He just won’t.

But what was really going on was that Raihan was planning a birthday surprise for you and had spent a long time with the presentation and preparation.

You’d been together for a few years now and every year, he’d gotten you something different.

For the first year, he surprised you with a designer handbag and a luxury weekend getaway but he soon learned that you’re not too intrigued or crazed about labels or enchanting locations but all in all, it was a lovely birthday treat and there were several good memories from that.

For your birthday the next year, he got you a baby Pokemon and whisked you off to Alola for a daring skydiving session over Akala Island. 

And the year after that, there was no more beating around the bush and he straight up asked you what wanted and you said you weren’t too fussed because you don’t need Raihan to go all out or take you to such expensive places.

It could be also to do with getting old and being around him for so long that you didn’t have much to look forward to nor did you want anything in particular, you did tell him that you would rather just spend a nice evening with him and have a delicious home cooked, candlelit meal.

However, Raihan’s still determined to treat you so this year too, so he asked the gym leaders what would be a good birthday present for his lover and received mixed results:

Opal told him he should try baking a cake. 

Milo told him a Wooloo is the key to a woman’s heart, but you already have one.

Nessa thought a meal at The Captain’s Table would do the trick.

Kabu said a trip to Hoenn would possibly suffice.

Piers also gave him tickets to his concert.

Raihan rubbed his chin, wondering if it was possible to combine all those ideas but then realised it’s better to come up with something far more original and something that would resonate more with you.

Therefore, he found himself sitting down on the grassy pitch of Hammerlocke stadium one day, writing ideas down. He eventually compiled a list and went through it many times, ticking several ideas off. He even resorted to online videos for inspiration.

In the end, he remembered how much you love Goomy and an idea formed in his mind.

Keeping it as a surprise was harder than preparing the actual surprise.

And the more he came home late and the more he gave you excuses as to why he was being so darned secretive, the more he saw your face falling when he would refuse to disclose where he was going, the more it pained him inside.

Finally, on the day of your birthday, you’re first to wake up and although you try to wake him up too, he’s exhausted because he came home so late last night so all you can do is get ready for work, wriggling free from his grip and slipping off the bed. 

You silently get dressed albeit watching him worriedly before you head downstairs to make breakfast and as you munch on your cereal, reading this morning’s news on your phone, you hear the steps creaking one by one and soon Raihan appears in the kitchen, rubbing his eyes and yawning.

“Hey babe,” he greets you wearily, shoving his feet into his flip-flops and making his way to the sink where he fixes himself a glass of water.

“Hi babe,” you reply, watching him down the drink before he lowers his hand, wiping his mouth.

You both regard each other for a few moments before you clear your throat. 

He looks at you expectantly. “What’s wrong?”

You’re grinning, nudging your head to the calendar. 

Raihan watches you silently, taking another sip.

“...Aren’t you forgetting something?” you say, your grin widening.

He takes another sip.

You end up huffing, crossing your arms. “Rai. Today is-”

“Ah, that’s right,” Raihan says, before he smirks at you. You nod, sitting up properly in your seat. “How could I forget?”

“Yes yes?”

“It’s your-”

“Yes?”

“It’s your b-”

You’re leaning further in your seat expectantly. “Yes?”

“Brother’s seminar today, isn’t it? He’s hosting a special training event at Hammerlocke University.”

There is a brief silence following his reply.

“Oh....” you mumble out; you’re visibly deflating, slumping in your seat and throwing your saddened gaze to the floor, “....Yeah, it is. Funny you remembered that and not...well, you know.”

But he’s looking at the clock, “Shouldn’t you be heading for work now?” he adds, “You’re gonna be late.”

“Oh, uh, yeah,” you finish the rest of your cereal as quickly as you can and slide off your seat, grabbing your bag, donning your coat and slinging it over your shoulder. “I’ll be back at six.”

“Okay, see ya. Have fun at work.” Raihan says, and he pulls you in for a quick kiss before pinching you briefly on the ass, and you leave the house.

Once the door closes, Raihan rubs the back of his neck awkwardly when he recalls how disappointed you look, “....I’m really pushing it, aren’t I?” he utters to himself.

Raihan couldn’t have forgotten the date of your birthday, could he?

You’ve been together for years now.

At work, your coworkers surprise you with a birthday card and a box of chocolates which you are grateful for. You will be going out for drinks with them another day.

They ask you what Raihan got you for your birthday and if he surprised you with anything this morning but you tell them he didn’t mention anything but he remembered your brother’s seminar, not your birthday.

They’re stunned by the revelation and you think, hell I should’ve kept my trap shut because it sounds embarrassing but they tell you maybe he has a surprise waiting for you at home.

You inwardly hope that’s the case.

Work is over in a pinch and you begin to finish up for the day, leaving the office.

You always treat yourself to something nice on your birthday but today you will just pop into the grocery store and buy one of your favourite snacks. 

Once you’ve grabbed a few packets and paid for them, you head home with your goodies and check your phone. You haven’t received any messages from Raihan all day; he’s been awfully silent since and you can’t help but feel extremely disappointed but also, this is rather uncharacteristic of him. 

However, when you open the front door and step inside, you realise the entire hallway has been outlined with little chubby candles.

Your jaw drops open in shock.

“What the...”

And you hastily put down the bag of groceries on the cupboard and kick off your shoes, glancing around.

It’s a pleasant surprise so you step further down the dimly lit hallway, smiling to yourself as you marvel the beautiful display. 

You follow the candles all the way towards your shared bedroom and you open the door only to bring your hands to your mouth to cover your gasp.

Raihan sits on the bed facing you, which is decorated entirely with rose petals and in front of him on the floor are a number of Goomy arranged to form a heart. They all look up at you, blinking their little beady eyes upon your arrival.

“Oh my god!” You exclaim before Raihan grins widely; he’s holding a little silver harmonica in hand.

“Hey baby girl,” he replies, as you gape at the group of Goomy who gurgle happily at you, before you avert your gaze to the gym leader.

“What is this????”

“Your birthday present,” Raihan’s grin broadens. “Watch.”

He lifts the harmonica to his lips and blow a single note which rings lightly in the air, and suddenly the Goomy begin to sing in harmony to the tune of the ‘Happy Birthday’ song.

You smack a hand over your mouth with delight and shock as they warble. 

The Goomy seem to know when to take turns and harmonise in a series of watery gurgles and loud chirping and begin waving to and fro in a mesmerising pattern, their round and squishy bodies bobbing up and down in tune to the song whilst their little horns wiggle in the air. 

The song is almost finished and a particularly chubby Goomy opens its mouth wide and emits a low bass tone to finish the song which makes you giggle.

You squat in front of the group once the song is over and the Goomy cheerfully gather around you as you hold your arms out.

“That was amazing!!!” you gush, patting each and every one of them on their heads and stroking their horns. They line up single file and you giggle and proceed to lift each and every Goomy off the floor and into your arms, hugging them tightly, and pecking them on the top of their heads one by one. “You guys were awesome!”

Once you’re finished, the Goomy jump up and down on their spots happily and you move to stand; Raihan beckons you closer to him and you eagerly step over towards him and he pulls you into his arms and settles you into his lap, wrapping his arms around your waist.

“I thought you forgot...” you say with a pout, fiddling with the white little straps of his hoodie.

“I’d never forget your birthday,” he murmurs, reaching forwards to press a sweet kiss on your lips. 

“Is this the reason why you were always coming home so late? You were teaching them to sing for me...”

“Yeah.”

“And that smell!” you exclaim.

Raihan blinks blankly at you. “What smell?”

“It’s Goomy,” you chuckle and slink your arms around his neck, kissing him tentatively in response. “I should’ve known.”

“Hehe, but you didn't. Did you like it?” he asks, before he leans forwards and presses his lips deeply against the curve of your cheek, letting go to briefly nuzzle you at the same time, making you squirm and giggle in his grip.

“Yes!” you exclaim, before you throw your arms around him tightly. “Thank you so much, I love it!”

“Anything for you, baby girl,” he replies with a grin, and you smile as he encircles his arms around you, bringing you into a deep, passionate kiss.

EXTRA:

Raihan’s gotten you more gifts of course. He spoils you rotten.

Also, no Goomy’s were harmed in this production.

When was the last time you felt like “getting into someone’s pants”?  Way back last year.

What is your favorite energy drink, if you have a favorite at all?  I find energy drinks nasty.

Would you have kids with the last person you kissed?  That wouldn’t be possible even in the literal sense.

Do you know someone who threatens to kill themselves?  Before.

Would you ever completely dye your hair the color green?  Yes, but I would opt for a darker shade rather than a bright or neon one.

Have you ever been in a long-distance relationship before?  I have not. Thinking about it, I’m pretty low-maintenance so I could probably handle it if I ever find myself in that situation, as long as I’m invested enough in the relationship and my partner.

What is your favorite food to eat around Christmas?  I like anything my family prepares really, but I definitely go for lumpia first if I see a whole container of it.

Do the people in your town speak like rednecks?  No and I’m not sure if we have an equivalent for that here.

When was the last time you cried happy tears?  Like a week ago when the Permission to Dance video came out. The ending when everyone was taking off their masks and smiling was really heartwarming.

How liberal are you?  Enough to make most of my relatives uncomfortable.

Would you mind living near large predatory animals?  Yes. I’ve lived in gated villages all my life so it will take a lot of getting used to.

Have you ever experienced altitude sickness?  I don’t think so. The ‘worst’ I’ve experienced is just feeling pressure in my ears and having weakened hearing whenever we drive up mountains; it takes a while before mine do the popping thing and I get my normal hearing back.

What’s your biggest priority right now?  To be consistent at improving at my job and making fewer mistakes as I go. I shared this with my boss recently and she told me not to worry too much as I’m doing better than I think I am and that the mistakes I beat myself about have actually been small and fixable ones, but the perfectionist/workaholic in me just refuses to be reassured lol.

If you’ve stayed overnight in a hospital, how did you entertain yourself?  The last time this happened, public wi-fi was still mostly a myth so I had to contend with A LOT of forced napping just to make the time pass by. I didn’t have a phone either, so my experience was extremely dull and boring.

Are your hands unsteady?  They’re not surgeon-level stable but I think they’re fine for the most part.

If you could find one long-lost friend of the past, who would it be?  Continued from yesterday. It’d be nice to reconnect with Raegan for like a day, just to catch up. Then again I’ve since been able to track her down on social media, so it’s nice to be able to see how she’s doing, at least from afar.

Was your sixth grade teacher a man or a woman? The teacher-in-charge of my section was a woman. They didn’t really appoint guy teachers to be TICs until recently.

Final thoughts

i genuinely hate these episodes. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever watch them again. Even with another watch through.. they’re not as well written or directed as other episodes, they’re unbelievable in the cannon of the show and breaks their own rules, not to mention the sheer heartbreak

Bregman is one of the most unlikeable characters in the show. If Simmons had of been alive he could have been in the episode too just to add to the trifecta of cunts!

Cassie should have been at the memorial

they make you think Jack is dead so we won’t worry about janet to what? make it more of a shock? because it doesn’t work. It should never have been designed to make us feel relief at Janet’s death because it wasn’t Jack! It doesn’t do her justice. 

Janet Fraiser was a smart woman with a massive heart. She was brave and strong and she cared for everyone even when they were arseholes. She had a bit of fun with SG1 sometimes too. She was an incredible Dr, mother and friend.  Janet was tiny but tough. Something that i aim for. I’m 5ft2 so basically the same as Janet and believe it or not i’ve had people question my ability to be a good teacher because noone will take me seriously. Janet always made me feel like people would take me seriously and that even though I’m small, I can do big things. She encouraged me to be a good person with a heart of gold. Her death hits really hard for that reason. but also because she was an incredible character who deserved more than what she was given. Hardly any screen time and then murdered to make some sort of point that didn’t need making??? Not to mention she’s mentioned twice in the next three seasons and when she “comes back” in Ripple Effect she spends almost no time with Sam which makes exactly 0 sense. 

Someone recently said they heard she was killed because the writers didn’t know how much more time they had and wanted to wrap some stuff up? Lets not forget that they made the end of this season a huge cliff hanger... but I’m still not sure what we could wrap up with her death? She had a fucking child!

Any way I won’t be watching this again. I’m sorry this isn’t much fun but hopefully you’ve got a giggle out of me swearing at the idiots

Like for me, I could say I don’t give a shit about complex math, but advanced math courses would be valued by certain people down specific paths. But anyway, I’ll bite and say least necessary for *the most* people, in my opinion anyway. Gym. It’s very discriminatory towards people with more limited physical capabilities (and I don’t just mean literally disabled), and it’s also just very uncomfortable and/or embarrassing to some people. Like I’d fuckin cry if in my current state, I was forced to “run” a mile, because I physically couldn’t come even close. A person, a younger one especially, should never be subjected to humiliation at the hands of a class schools deem “necessary” when it absolutely is not. I think for as long as I had recess, my go-to was ALWAYS the swings. I fucking loved swingsets. I loved playing 4 Square or whatever it was called. For some reason, I still have this childlike excitement *early* into a power outage. 1. what is the colour of your hairbrush? edit: so I realized I didn’t read that correctly the first time around, but I don’t usually brush my hair, tho I do have one that’s brown

2. a food you never eat? it’s not really a food but i never eat plain butter, like in cakes and all that, when it’s cooked, alright, but on bread, in sandwiches or anything else it just grosses me out to no avail!! I can’t even touch it!! Also any sea food is a no-go for me, i just can’t!!

3. are you typically too warm or too cold? i think it can depend, but in general i tend to get cold very easily

4. what were you doing 45 minutes ago? i was catching up on niall and liam’s live and feeling very emotional about it

5. what is your favourite candy bar? here we call it kinder tranche au lait, which literally translates to kinder milky slice but idk if that’s what it’s called!! Anyways, it’s the kinder that you have to keep in the fridge with the creamy white thing in the middle, i just love it!!

Coffee and watching movies and going for walks rather than anything fancy, and it’s a miracle that Cat is okay with that, but with Ellis there’s a sense of relaxation she doesn’t get with other people and their dates reflect that.

Coffee mugs! tbh I drink tea out of coffee mugs because who actually uses teacups? I mean my grandma has tons and I would use them, but the handles are so tiny and I am v clumsy so it scares me.

Chocolate bars!!! I’m too impatient for lollipops and plus they always get coated in saliva which just...drips down my chin since my mouth is already full.

 A/N: Firstly, I just wanted to apologize for taking so long with this request. I had a complete block and just didn’t know how to start it. I hope this makes up for the amount of time it took to complete ahaha.

‘{Y/N} I said no, how many more times do I have to repeat myself before I make myself clear?’ he huffed, becoming impatient.

You and John had been dating for 7 months now, and things were going well. You had worried when you first became involved with him that he wouldn’t want to date anyone with children, since he had many of his own, but he assured you that he wouldn’t want to be with anyone else. Since the beginning of your relationship, you had begged and pleaded that all your children met up, and you hadn’t thought there was anything wrong with that. You loved John, and as far as you could tell he loved you too, and you wanted your children to meet the man you had been sneaking out the house for whilst the nanny was round.

Yet, every time you brought it up, it ended in arguments. You knew you wanted to be with John, God, you wanted to be with him more than anything. But you needed to know whether he was right for your children. Yes, you were aware that he could protect them if need be because he was a Peaky Blinder, but could he love them? Could he look after them and treat them like his own if anything were to happen to you?

‘John, how much longer do I have to wait? It’s all they’ve been asking for. They haven’t asked for anyone since their dad died. They need a man to come talk to them, let them know that they have someone to go to if they don’t want to come to me. I’ve met your children, why won’t you meet mine? And don’t give me that bullshit excuse that you’re needed at work, or that Tommy’s called a family meeting. Your kids hardly see you anymore as it is, they should have others around them so they’re not alone all the fucking time’.

You hadn’t meant for all that to come out, and when you saw the look on Johns face you immediately felt guilty. But that didn’t excuse the fact that he was being a dick head. Even Tommy had agreed that he wasn’t thinking straight.

‘Why the fuck does it mean so much to you, eh?’

‘Because I want them to meet the man I love John! I want them to have a big family. I want them to have a male figure in their life and siblings to look up to and love. They deserve that, and so do your kids. Please John, all I’m asking for is an hour. I’ve seen how you act around your kids. You’re brilliant with them. Involve my children too.’

‘Fine. For one hour. And I’m not fucking players cops and Peakys with them. I told my kids that last time was the last time, and I’m not showing them that I’m a push over’ he huffed.

‘Of course not John, thank you’, a smile spreading across your face. He pulled you closer by your waist and kissed your forehead, before grunting and telling you that he’d be ready in ten minutes so to get his kids in their coats and shoes.

‘Daddy, daddy, throw me in the air again’, his youngest daughter laughed, running back into his arms. You were running round the garden, laughing and smiling at the fact that John had been pulled into playing Cops and Peakys. It was funny, he would do anything for his kids. He didn’t care if people thought he was soft. Of course he was going to be fucking soft, they were kids for fucks sake. And you smiled, smiled at the fact that he included your children, and made them feel like they were part of a family.

You hadn’t seen them play like this since their dad died, and you were grateful that John could make them feel like children again. 

Their dad adored them both, playing in the garden for hours every weekend, and trying to teach them to play chess, even though they were only three and five at the time. That was 3 years ago, before he had left for France. Freddie acted like the tough guy, pretending not to care, but you knew he missed him. Henry was too young to remember what he was like, but seeing Freddie play with John reminded you of what it was like before the war. How happy her children were. 

For hours, all you could hear were ‘pew,pew, bang - DADDY I SHOT FREDDIE AND HE REFUSES TO DIE’ and Johns continuous laughter. You knew that John was having fun, not that he’d never admit it off course. After an hour you had decided to sit out and watch them play, and admired the way John was with the children. How he would run up behind the girls and throw them into the air, and how he would play fight with the boys, carefully tackling them to the ground. And how when the girls wanted to play football he made sure they were on his team, because ‘the girls always win, no matter how much you try’. Their knees were stained green from the grass, and their backs were dried with mud - an incident involving a hill, several children and a grown man rolling down and many tears as the boys cut and scraped their legs and face. 

‘Thank you for making an effort today, the boys told me they really enjoyed themselves and that you absolutely must come to Freddie’s birthday party next week’, you giggle, causing John to laugh in return.

‘I enjoyed it, it was a good day. And tell him I’m only coming if there’s chocolate cake’.

‘You know’, you said, pulling him closer by the hoops on his suit waistband, ‘After today, I might just love you even more’ ,you whispered, trailing kisses up his neck, until you heard him groan.

Sooooo... I was tagged by several wonderful, amazing people on this and I decided to just tackle them all in one big post (but I’ll put it under a cut so I don’t make people’s thumbs bleed). Thank y’all for being patient and for including me (and at least it didn’t take me a month this time!). I know I haven’t been around much lately and it’s driving me nuts cause I miss talking to everyone. :( But, here are the lovely peeps and their questions and then my questions and tags below. Oh, and I’m answering in the order I received these, but you are all my favorite children (don’t tell the others).

1. What’s your sign? Birthday? I’m a Taurus still (I think - wasn’t there something a while back where they were adding a new sign? Did I dream that - I don’t keep up with the news). My bday is April 26, 19xx.

2. Favorite cocktail? (If you don’t drink, favorite concoction?) I like Jack on the rocks (yes the drink and yes my husband, preferably both). If I’m mixing, then I use Ginger Ale with Canadian whisky. I call it a Canadian Ginger (I dunno if there is a real name for it).

3. Do you have any special/unusual/secret talents? I really want to degrade myself here (I’m really good at that!) but I will refrain. But honestly, I can’t think of a thing. I got nothin.

4. What is a personal accomplishment you are proud of? Did anyone tell you that you couldn’t do it? Breaking away from my parents’ world view. I’m the only one in my family who isn’t wrapped up in religious bull shit (and please understand I’m not dissing religious people in general - just their particular brand of it). Like I still wonder how I did it. Being gay had a lot to do with it I guess.

5. What is your favorite stuffed animal? Current please (and don’t tell me you don’t have any, I’m over 40 and I have lots incl a giant Appa, I wont believe you) LOL  Um... I don’t have any. I swear! Well, that’s not true. I have an old Ty stuffed bear (do you remember those Ty animals that were so big in the late nineties/early 00s?). An old boyfriend gave it to me. I got rid of him but I still have the bear somewhere. So I guess it’s my favorite by default. (I swear sweet-ree... I would totally own up if I had stuffed animals.)

6. Favorite fic writers? Oh lawd. I am surrounded by so many amazing fic writers here on tumblr it puts me to shame. And I don’t have the time I wish I had to read everything. But I’m lucky that pretty much all of them have me as a mutual (and that makes me really happy). And some of my mutuals have done a couple of short fics and I wish they would do more! And I’m stalling cause I’m terrified I will name some and inadvertently leave others out... and I’m sorry if I do... but... @nightmarestudio606 @bagog @bardofheartdive @ellebeedarling @estalfaed @missannaraven are the most prolific ones but there are many others that I love to and oh shit I’m sorry if I can’t list everyone.

7. Phrase from a video game which became like a mantra to you? (one of my favorite questons!) I don’t know about a mantra (maybe an internal one) but Zaeed’s battle cry in ME2 of “Sit down” is great. I was actually thinking of this the other day. I’d really like to say this to a lot of people as I knock them on their ass.

8. Who was your first fictional crush? (another favorite) I think it was Aquaman [don’t judge]. I really couldn’t tell you why. 

9. Any kinks you’d like to share? Oh, gee. Probably what I would think of as a kink others might think of as vanilla. I guess the dirtiest I ever get is water sports (and its not that I’m really into that but I’m not opposed to it either). Plus, I’m better at giving than receiving - if that’s even close to the right terminology cause (as I was told by a urologist once) I could strip the bark off of a tree and I can do it while erect. Hmmmm... I think I might have just identified a new career path... ;)

Dark chocolate. Not too dark. 80% max. But yeah. I love it. And, if it were all I was eating then I wouldn’t live long and I’d want to die happy.

No official ones, no. A lot of my friends call me Ty. A certain circle of friends call me Tysonia (er, you’d just have to know them… they’re special lol). It’s funny, when @bardofheartdive came to visit me and she met some of my friends, she referred to me as Humbles and it took my friends a bit of time to realize she was talking about me. haha

3. If you won the lottery tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d buy?

Buy? Hell, I’d put it in the bank. I could just live off the interest. But, I would however pay off my school loan (cause I live in America and it costs a lot of money to obtain useless degrees)

4. Are you a morning person or a night person?

I used to consider myself a night person but I’m old now and suddenly not so much. At 10:30 I’m like, guys I gotta get home my jammies are calling. Well, I don’t wear jammies but it works metaphorically.

5. Do you consider yourself a good cook?

No. I cook. But I don’t consider myself a good cook. I’m not sure if anyone else does either. And I obsessively follow recipes. Like I’ll stand with a cup of sugar in my hand and look at the recipe five times. Is this where I put it in? *that’s what he said* And what the hell does “fold gently mean”? I’m baking a cake not doing laundry.

6. What kinds of things really make you laugh?

Oh, I’m a sucker for sarcasm. But anything can make me laugh really. And I love to laugh.

7. What is your favourite way to spend a day off?

The answer to this is really sad. But playing video games. There are lots of other things I enjoy doing but my favorite thing is just getting lost in a game. Or, if other people are with me, I love playing board/card games to. I just like to have fun.

8. Do you have any pet peeves?

Yes, more than I will admit. I guess the biggest one is arrogance. It drives me freaking nuts. Like you human just like the rest of us. You didn’t put yourself here so get over yourself.

9. Who is your best friend?

Hmmm… this is a really tough question. It’s weird because the person I consider my best friend, I hardly ever see.  But he was there for me when no one else was back in some much darker days and I bonded with him in a way that has never been broken. He says the same but he lives far away and we both suck at actually checking in with each other. But yeah, I still consider him my best friend.

10. What should I know about you that I’d never think to ask?

Hell if I know. I’m not that interesting. I don’t really know what anyone would want to know about me. Hmmmm… let me think. Well, I mentioned school loans earlier. A lot of people don’t know that I have a masters in education though I’ve never been a teacher. I did student teaching and loved/hated it. I had a student find me on facebook and said I was the best teacher she had which made me super proud. I dunno, it’s the first thing that came to mind.

I am on the “throw it into hellfire” camp. I hate pineapple period. And I love pizza so it seems to be an unholy combination. BUT I have no problem with people who love it. Just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean others can’t. We can coexist.

7 Favourite 80s song? (come on guys we all have one don’t be shy)

Oh, hell, I ain’t shy. I love 80s music. And my fave song is “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Simple Minds. (Technically, “With Or Without You” by U2 is my fave but it kinda transcends any time period for me so...)

Cats. Can’t have a cat cause of the hubs but I prefer them. But I love dogs, too. I’m sure I’d love foxes if I knew any.

Which (video game) character do you most empathize with and why?

I’m tempted to say Shepard but that would be a lie. Shepard is someone I would love to be but could never. I really connect more with Ryder. They basically are just a regular person who gets thrust into a leadership role they weren’t prepared for and are constantly asking “um, am I doing this right cause I have no idea.” Plus, they have a sarcastic wit. So, yeah, that’s something I can definitely connect with. 

In ME3 did you pick Control, Synthesis or Destroy? Or which one did you favor when playing multiple times? If you didn’t play ME, which type of endings do you usually choose?

I tend to choose Destroy but not really for the moral reasons that most people do. More of a selfish reason that I can’t stand to see Shep sacrifice themselves and I hold out the hope they survive. However, I understand why Control and Synthesis are choices though. 

What is an otp you don’t post as much about? What about your notp?

Probably my other bioware OTP which is Garrett Hawke and Anders. I post about it some on my pinterest but I don’t love them so much to spend much time about it on here. And there are other ships that are in my head but aren’t true otps. A notp? I have plenty ships that I’m not interested in but I don’t rain on other people’s parades so I just keep those to myself. :)

Would you be interested in a flat Kaidan/mshenko sent out through the community?

Mmmm... I’m not sure what the question is. I’m sorry! If you clarify in the notes I’ll try to update!!! But I’m pretty much in support of Kaidan/mshenko in any form so I have a feeling the answer will be a YAS!

What is your favorite type of xover to read/see? Don’t like xovers? What’s a show/movie/fandom you’re into that’s rarely on your blog?

Oh gosh, I love the idea of crossovers and really any combination. @mshenkowithoutadoubt and @bardofheartdive have both brought up a Sense8/Mass Effect xover that sent my head spinning with possibilities. I’ve seen a lot of ME/Dragon Age crossovers that were really well done. Others that can be mixed/matched with reckless abandon: Fringe and Star Trek are just two of many that come to mind.

What trope is your favorite and which one do you despise?

Shotce, you are really cooking my noodle here. LOL I know what tropes are but don’t really ever think about them. So, I don’t know. haha

Do you have any gaming/writing rituals? (I.e. Cocktails, mood lighting)

For gaming, not really. I tend to get really ultra-sucked in so all other conscious awareness of reality kind of goes out the window. For writing - I can’t say I have a ritual (it would probably help me if I had one). I have a playlist I tend to put on when write. Cocktails help! lol But I rarely take part when I write.

What way do you like to shake off a bad day? Or what motivates you?

Playing video games help. As I said above, I tend to block out the rest of the world when I play. So goodbye bad juju. I also enjoy just browsing tumblr in bed, chatting with friends and soaking up some mshenko feels.

If you joined the Inquistion (or moved into a castle) where would you park your butt? Tavern? Library? The gardens? Stable?

The ramparts. I love the view!!! I’d have to make regular side trips to the library and chat/make out with Dorian. (I’ll just cut through Cullen’s office to ogle him teehee) 

What is your weapon of choice in most video games? Powers/biotics? Shotguns or arrows? Wit or strength?

Oh, I’m a vanguard boy. It’s a parallel for how I live my life. Rush headlong into situations without thinking about it, take stock of the situation, shit myself, then fight out of sheer desperation to get out of there. Conversely, my weapon of choice is a sniper rifle. Weird huh?
