#thank you!#i have to admit population density maps leave me rather flat#but personally i love maps that tell stories#and there are SEVERAL stories here I would like to investigate#like is that area more fertile because it didn't have the topsoil scraped off?#but then it didn't get any glacial till and would've been surrounded by ice and/or had a lake so that's interesting#and why was the ice sheet just north of there moving more slowly?#is it because hudson bay is up there so there was less land for the snow to pile up on and start flowing?#or is it due to weather patterns?#do they know?#also i just love that they know SO much more than they used to about all this kind of atuff#like i get so worked up about cratons and supercontinents before pangea and gondwanaland and all that
