Fanfiction writers (Scriptor fictus) are intelligent animals who need plenty of enrichment as well as encouragement! If they’re stuck in poor conditions (e.g. have studies, work, have to actually write to have something written) then they require the proper enrichment to engage in more healthy behaviours, like writing. Remember, due to poor breeding and socialisation, over half of all fanfic writers suffer from low self confidence and executive dysfunction so take care of them!

Give your fanfic writers proper care. Fanfiction writers are a life long commitment.

The AO3 curse hasn't hit me yet but the first fic I posted I was painted green for a school production and I mentioned that in my author's notes.

I fully believe in both the ao3 curse, and the tumblr curse. I started writing again for like the first time in a year and so far this week:

One of my car's tires exploded.

The cold I had progressed into walking pneumonia.

A DIFFERENT TIRE EXPLODED

The walking pneumonia got so bad I now need an inhaler for at least a month.

So yeah, that was only in a week. And that's tame, compared to things that had happened the last time I'd posted.

The Ao3 writer curse is real cause I myself once wrote a thing saying:

"I LIVE EVERYONE (sadly). THE DEVIL DOESN'T WANT ME YET.

Sooo... I know I disappeared last August (when I usually posted a few fics regularly), and it's CHRISTMAS SEASON 😳???? Long story short, crap hit the fan real fast and hard. My grandfather died, I myself was in the hospital, my friends left me because of a shitty rumor. I honestly totally forgot about Ao3 during that time 😅.

But then I took an Advil for my metaphorical pain, and realized I forgot the great poets advice. "The grind doesn't stop until I say it does." So I'm back, sorry for disappearing when the fandom needed me most."

The Ao3 writer curse is the only superstition I believe in /hj
