was listening to the long version of the Walpurgisnacht scene from the Gounod Faust on the way in to work this morning and it always makes me a little sad when productions don't do it that way (although it does require dropping the ballet. But the McVicar ROH version did such a good ballet it's hard to imagine a version that is as good in a way that doesn't just rip it off)
