4. What’s your favorite genre?

when done correctly with the proper research, i am weak for anything with history or local/cultural connections - so a story set in a particular time period or era, or in a particular location with significance and meaning. i guess maybe it’s bc i don’t do a lot of research myself, so when i see someone really focus on bringing to life characters and circumstances of an era/country, i’m just amazed and utterly impressed. 

8. What writing projects are you currently working on?

Liberate, my Camp Vrains AU Disaster Trio + Spectre fic - think of it as a demigod au. then there’s my new fic, Human Givens, which is a platonic datastorm kidfic with dad!Kusanagi and a particular emphasis on healing post-trauma. both update weekly!

13. What’s your favorite trope?

answered here, but tbh i’m also weak for good ol’ domestic aus because personally i love gentle, domestic lives and i like to read about my own experiences

19. Where do you get your inspiration from?

this is going to sound so lame, but i like to learn while i write. i learn best through my writing, so if i write a fic about characters struggling and thriving in university, i’m very much exploring college experiences and working through my own struggles. it’s not really like a self-insert sort of thing, but more like i learn about the many different struggles of college students through my writing - and to understand perhaps why other students struggle and thrive, and etc. 

another example is that i learn about complex topics through my writing, like love and purpose and making dreams come true, topics that sometimes i’m too afraid to explore in my own life but that i slowly grow more accustom to the more i write. sometimes i even write about my own fears to overcome them

so yeah, tl;dr i get my inspiration from myself XD

26. Who is your favorite fictional character in general?

hm … ehhh, i duuno, but right now and for the past while, i’ve been particularly interested in Tsubasa Hanekawa from Monogatari, or really any Monogatari heroine bc i’ve never seen such diverse, honest, realistic, and relatable characters in any medium. they’re all fleshed out, complex girls, and i relate especially to Hanekawa and her destructive perfectionism and bottled-up hurt and secrets.

42. How many drafts do you usually go through before you finish a piece?

one XD

but no joke, i don’t rewrite my work. i do a single rough edit for typos and spoiler bc i have extremely shaky hands when i write and i tend to skip over entire words bc i think faster than i write, but other than that i do little else with my fics - and the reason for this is that i’ll become a better writer if i learn while i write. i practice while i write, trying out new styles and techniques. but when it comes time to write, i don’t fret over every little detail. i know by now that my fic will be “good enough” to share; i’ve come far enough. and so even though it’s not perfect, i know that if i fret over my work, it’ll never be good enough to post, and i don’t want to fall into that destructive mindset (as i have in the past)

so i just write, briefly edit, and post :)
