Imagine Elizabeth,Annie and ruby find out y/n has been sleeping with Rio
Beth, ruby, Annie and y/n were at a bar waiting with a duffel bag of full of cash. Annie began to notice something about y/n. She seems different.
"What?" Y/n asks as she notices Annie look at her with such a weird face. "What's up with your hair?" Annie says folding her arms in curiousness. Beth then looked at y/n and started to notice as well.
Y/n touched her hair defensively. "Nothing" she answered as she kept touching her hair. "Somethings going on" Beth said eyeing y/n. "Yeah it looks....fluffy" ruby trails off as she picks up her drink. "Bouncy even" Annie added as she picks up her drink.
"Uh I used shampoo. People use that ya know" y/n said with a sarcastic voice. "Okay" Annie said chuckling. "Shampoo" Ruby said looking at her friend amused. The girls then exchange a look as rio walks up to them.
"Yo" he greeted as they all looked up to see him pulling up a chair next to y/n. The girls look at the pair amused as y/n hands rio the duffel bag full of money. As it's happening they touch hands for a second longer than they would have to. The girls suddenly watch nervously as rio starts going through the bag.
Y/n looks at the girls as they make eye contact with one another. Y/n sighed before talking again. "So what are you gonna do?" Y/n asked rio looking at him.
"Uh take care of it" rio says counting the money still before zipping up the duffel bag. "Buy off a cop or judge or something—" Ruby says but is cut off by rio. "You don't need to sweat the details".
"But how will we know if it worked?" Beth asked nervously. "If you don't get arrested, guess what it probably worked" he responded back making y/n roll her eyes.
"That's not a plan" y/n said making rio look at her. Rio then stood up, hoist the duffel bag on his shoulder and looks back at only y/n. There is a pregnant pause before rio speaks again.
"You trust me?" He asks making y/n look at him like he's crazy. "God no" y/n says while smiling. He grins at this and nods. "Good" he responded back. Suddenly they started staring at each-other for what felt like forever and suddenly y/n looked away. He gave the girls one last look and he left shocking the other girls.
Once he left the girls stares at y/n who is now drinking her wine. Y/n feels eyes on her so she looks up to find the the siblings still staring in shock.
"What?" Y/n asks. "Oh. My. God." Annie and Beth said in unison as ruby just looked confused. "What??" Y/n asks again looking at them confused. "Uh I think you know" Annie says as y/n starts getting her stuff to leave.
Y/n starts rushing out while the siblings follow leaving ruby who is still confused. Going into the parking lot a curious Annie chases down a embarrassed y/n as she tries to run to her car. "Riddle me this y/n" Annie says as y/n is trying to get away from her.
"I don't know what your talking about" y/n says not even looking at the girls. "Picture if it was me. You would be so far up my ass right now about the responsible choice and keeping it in my pants—" Annie says but y/n cut her off. "Actually I would've told you to be careful. We all know the only person who would do that it your sister."
"She's your sister too y/n" Annie says making y/n stop infront of her car. "Look I'm not saying you don't deserve some but he's not just some dude. Why would you crap where you eat?!" Annie asks worried.
Ruby appears behind the siblings next to Beth. "What has gotten into you guys?"Ruby looks at the confused. "Oh I can tell you what's gotten into her" Beth says as she points at y/n. "Gang friend" Annie finishes making y/n roll her eyes for the hundredth time today.
Ruby's head explodes with this information. She just stared at y/n in shock. "Stop looking at me like that" y/n says opening her car door. "You know it actually makes perfect sense now" Beth says folding her arms. "Whaaat?" Ruby says still shocked.
"It's why he gave YOU the money" Annie said emphasizing the 'you'. "That was before" y/n said but Beth cut her off. "Why you have been big timing us for weeks—"
"That's not why. I just didn't want to deal with you and you." Y/n points at her sisters. "Why is that?" Beth asks clearly taking offense. "Are you serious?? You guys have problems of your own. Drama that I don't need. But I didn't ask for anymore jobs. That was Beth." Y/n says turning back to her car as she puts her stuff inside.
"You think you're the big boss now because your vagina got woke" Annie says making y/n look at her annoyed. "Excuse me? Who's idea was to rob a bank? Who's idea was it to take more jobs? Not me! I always supported you on what you wanted and finally thought about myself for once. FOR ONCE in my life I got to do something I wanted to do. Who are you to say I can't sleep with him. It's not like your situation is better so get off of my back". Y/n says as Annie gets quiet.
Ruby is still processing all of this. "I mean...how was it?" Ruby asks still in shock but Y/n didn't bother to look at ruby. Usually when y/n was in the talking stage with someone her and ruby would always talk about it. Ruby was like her sister to her "And now that I think about it. Did you screw someone who had a pregnant wife?" Y/n asked making Annie glare at her. "I ended that."
Y/n scoffed at this. "When, yesterday?" She says folding her arms. Annie looks at her hurt. "Bone whoever you want. But it's gonna end bad" Annie says as she shakes her head and walks to her car. Y/n shakes her head and starts chuckling. "I'm finally do something I wanna do and it's a problem. That's nice" she says as she gets in her car as the others sat in silence.
Before anybody can say anything y/n drove off upset.

I neeeeeeed more y!Rook and y!Auron, I am obsessed with them!!! What if Elisabeth and Ricardo (if the guys didn't end up killing him) teamed up to try and separate Rook an Auron? They know they can't break them up from the outside, so they try to break them up from the inside
They plant things here and there to try and get one of them to think they're cheating on the other, but Rook and Auron know the other loves them too much to cheat so Elisabeth and Ricardo's plan fails >:3c
Pathetic obsession
Rook was starting to get pissed off by the things they've been finding in Auron's office. Flowers, Chocolates, and letter's from this other 'lover' he has Rook scoft the first time seeing them really ANOTHER person obsessed with THEIR partner? But as they looked at it they connected dots that it was definitely Elizabeth trying something again. Rolling their eyes they thought nothing of it when they trashed the gifts for Auron, he'd rather not deal with this he's still busy with another project.
On the other hand the red head in question was glaring at pictures sent to him by someone. It wasn't one of his people and that set off one warning sign, so looking at the picture he say Rook and another man kissing. He's seen the man before obviously from insensitively researching about Rook and everyone they knew in case he needed it to keep them with him. It was an ex of their's that was a total dick to them, he gotten rid of him a while ago and was confused seeing a picture like this.
His mind went back to Ricardo, so since he couldn't take Rook from him that man is trying to break them up? Laughing a bit Auron set the picture on fire, he knew if his lover saw it they would have a fit seeing them kissing another man that treated them wrong. Grabbing his phone he stated to text Rook to come to him that they needed to talk about something. Smirking as he got a immediate text back with hearts Auron placed his phone down and thought of where those other two could be.
After greeting Trish with a smile Rook entered the meeting room Auron was still in. The man gave them a smile and pushed his chair back for them to come to him. Slowly walking to him they smiled at how Auron couldn't stand not touching them.
"So, love what happened?" Getting comfy on Auron's lap Rook laid their head on his shoulder. They felt him wrap a arm around them and sighing deeply before answering their question.
"It seems two people didn't take my threats seriously." Hissing out as he took a deep breath to calm himself. His scowl turned soft when Rook placed a hand on his chest and looking up at him with dangerous eyes.
"Auron, why can't they just see that we don't want them? Can't they see how were so right together?" Pouting Rook glared at the floor breaking eye contact that Auron still wanted. The head head sighed and leaned his head on their's trying to make them not so annoyed with the situation.
"I should have killed them, that's on me dear. But don't worry they'll be dealt with. How about a date to ease your mind?" Trying to lighten the mood Auron thought of different places they could go to. Maybe the club again or a restaurant they wanted to try together? This pulled a smile on Rook's face they reached up and kissed Auron's cheek.
"That would be nice." Happiness was in their tone which made Auron feel more happy as well. The two turned and kissed each other sadly had to break it because Auron got a phone call. The ring made both of them a bit annoyed but Auron picked it up.
"Yes?" Hissing out the words as he didn't like his time with his partner being interrupted. On the other side he was told that they found the two people obsessing over them and wanted to know what the teams next move should be. Rook looked pleased and whispered to Auron of different torturing methods he could use, this caused him to smile as he told his team to do them all.
"Maybe then it'll go through their think skulls that they had a pathetic obsession." Darkly saying as he got a 'Yes sir.' in return. Hanging up Auron turned to Rook, "Don't worry it'll be handled swiftly and quickly." Another kiss between the two started and got a little frisky, but sadly once again there was a interruption.
The legal team needed their leader to help with a situation that happen with a client throwing a bottle at someones head for touching their friend. It was their most popular one something with Star, who really preferred working with Rook. Grumbling Rook got off Auron's lap and sighed, "Sorry I have to go or else Star will cause a ruckus. See you tonight?" Auron nodded and gave Rook a parting kiss.

That other anon was being an asshole, but I am curious about what you had planned for EfC? Not gonna lie, I'll miss the cast—would be nice to know what happens to who!
I'm still unsure what I'll do with EfC. I might come back to it once this current period of my life is over, though it'd likely be very different. First of all, it'd be a shorter story. I'd either get rid of some of the ROs, or find some way to better integrate them into the narrative (compare Harry, who you can have this huge, important backstory with vs Val, whom I love but is also just some guy, I guess?). It'd also probably be more focused on romance since that's usually what interests me the most in IF anyway.
I also might scrap a lot of it and stick to the storylines that interest me the most—mainly the Harry stuff. A shorter game dealing with The Hedonist returning to Court and having to face Harry sounds really fun to write, and it'd be a lot less complex to plan than this whole mess. Also, Harry is definitely a more developed character than some of the other ROs. For example, I love Camila to death, but she doesn't have much significance in the story other than "The Hedonist's friend" and I was never able to find her some meaning.
I'd also make The Hedonist even more of a fixed character by getting rid of all personality stats and focusing solely on their actions instead of worrying about personality. The stats were all carried over from CoG, and it's never been something I enjoy in their brand of IF. I was going to do this anyway when I first transferred the game to Twine, but stupidly asked Tumblr what they thought and, since most people preferred keeping the stats, I did that even though I didn't really want to.
As for to what would happen to the cast... In case I do come back to EfC, I don't think this would change much, so I'll put it into a read more in case someone doesn't want to know. If anyone has any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Grandma would die. Sorry!
Also, Cordelia was The Hedonist's twin who drowned in front of them, but that was a bit obvious, wasn't it? I'd definitely remove that from any rewrites, it's so unnecessary and cliché.
Henry would divorce Elizabeth to be with Nicholas. The Hedonist could either support him on this or not.
Due to the divorce, the rest of the family would be disgraced in Court. Evie's reputation is a little less affected if she's still with Harry.
As I mentioned in the past, The Hedonist can choose whether to stay in Court or not at the end.
The Hedonist and Evie can repair their relationship or not. Evie eventually makes an effort to become friends with The Hedonist, and you could choose whether to play nice or not. If The Hedonist romances Harry and you manage to have a good relationship, she forgives you, but asks for some time away from both The Hedonist and Harry.
I didn't really plan Camila's character arc well. She becomes a Republican rebel and can either still be friends with The Hedonist or have distanced herself a bit if they continue to be an asshole.
Sabina can choose to no longer be a nun if encouraged either by a friend or romanced Hedonist. If you romanced her but didn't encourage her to leave the convent, she dumps you. (Note: You later find out she was forced to become a nun by her family.)
Similarly to Sabina, Narcissa can choose to break things off with the Emperor if, again, encouraged either by a friend or romanced Hedonist.
Calvin's ending is the wildest one, actually. He finds out he's a father after the boy's mother passes away. The Hedonist can either tell him to abandon the boy or tell him to raise him (if Calvin is romanced, they kind of become a step parent).
Val can be encouraged to start studying to become a librarian. Also, his whole thing is that his father is the Emperor lol
Lastly, horse boy Harry will want to divorce Evie if romanced and marry The Hedonist instead. If you refuse to marry him, he divorces her anyway but doesn't stay with The Hedonist. A friend!Harry stays with Evie, I think? I don't know.

DON'T BLAME ME || 6 || Jay Halstead x Teddy Rhodes
Chapter Synopsis: When a fire scene causes the power to go out in the area, Jay worries about Thea's safety while Thea worries about everyone else's.
Chapter Warnings: Mentions of attempted murder; mention of a beating; brief description of a vehicular accident; spousal worries/concern for partner's life; split-second allusion to suicidal ideation; Elli's speech STILL fluctuates. Read ahead at your own risk.
Author's Note: I forgot to change up the chapter warnings for chapter five upon posting, so you can see what was planned for that chapter and later scrapped.
Jay
Usually when we finished with a case, we'd all go home. I'd give Brooke a lift home while she called her roommate to let her know she was on her way, and to see if she wanted something to eat. Usually I'd be planning to get comfortable in sweats and a tank, or just sweats sometimes, and call Thea when I got home. Elizabeth would stay at Brooke's until Kelly finished his shift and picked her up.
Usually, I wouldn't be in the bullpen by now and wanting to be throwing my computer over Hawkins' and Lindsay's heads and out the window.
"Someone's missing his wife," Ruzek teased, a knowing smirk on his face.
Brooke laughed beside me. "She's probably thinking he's dead." I looked at her, and she shoved her phone into my hand. She knew my phone died half an hour ago, but I didn't think to bring my charger to work this morning and I had to let it die. "Call her, Halstead. She might not be losing her mind, but she'd still be expecting a phone call. Even if you're not shirtless."
"You've been calling your wife shirtless while she's in shift?" Ruzek teased, as I slipped into the break room to call my wife. Zero-three-two-one. Elizabeth's birthday was easy to remember when it was her aunt and your best friend's pin for her phone.
"Theodosia Rhodes; I can't come to the phone, so just leave a message. If it's CFD related, call Firehouse 51. If it's Dolan Rhodes related, call my store manager." Given she likely wouldn't check her voicemail for a week anyway, I sent her a text to call me on Brooke's number when she got the chance.
As soon as I hit send, the lights started to flicker and everything turned off.
"Ruzek, what did you touch?"
"Nothing!"
"Uh huh."
I gave Brooke back her phone as I sat back at my desk. I felt everyone but Brooke and Dawson were staring at me weirdly and I knew what it was about. My lack of reaction to the power outage. "First off, I've been in worse conditions. Second, my wife has to have all the lights off at our apartment or she can't sleep straight."
"Is that why she looks half asleep when she comes in during her shifts?" Lindsay asked with a frown.
Brooke reasoned, "they can't exactly turn off all the lights in the bullpen at 51 while there's people filling out paperwork."
Thea mentioned she was getting different blinds for her office windows to block out a good portion of the light from bullpen, but it was on her own dollar and the CFD wouldn't cover it, so it was taking a while to get to the firehouse even on express delivery.
"I might be rich, but that doesn't improve delivery times and traffic."
The backup generators kicked in and the lights flickered to a start, as the computers rebooted themselves and I noticed the file I hadn't saved was blank again. I internally groaned as Brooke answered her phone.
"Yeah, we're good...no, I'm still at work...of course, Jay's here. He's my way home...yeah, I can tell him...are you okay?...alright, I'll come see you guys soon...tell her I said hi!" She held her phone to her neck as she leaned to me. "51 was on a call; Teddy's okay, her phone was in the truck; she said she'll call back soon; and she's picking up my grandparents and Elli to have them at 51 with her and Kelly. Oh, and when we're done here, you can meet my sister."
"Thought you only had a brother," Olinsky, frightening us a little, piped in front him secluded desk.
Brooke hummed. "As it turns out, my dad got a woman he cheated on my mom with pregnant and I have a 21-year-old chef as a half-sister."
"Do you like her?" Lindsay asked, and suddenly we were all about Brooke's family issues. She didn't blame Katie, as her sister's name was, since it was Katie's mom that slept with a married man and their dad that slept with another woman while married.
While they talked about the Severides, I got to texting Thea. The first message was just a 'be careful' one, knowing the dark can make people lose their minds. When she sent a 'you too', I stopped myself from liking the message since I was still on Brooke's phone. I passed it back, and I turned to Ruzek for a charger. I wanted to talk to her on my phone.
#
Thea
Once Elli was settled with Katie, watching her cook in the kitchen, I checked on Kelly's grandparents and made sure they were comfortable in my office.
"Thank you, Thea." Kent shook my hand in both of his. "My grandson's got a good woman looking out for him."
I smiled, knowing that Kelly cherished their support with Elli. "Always, Kent. You're family."
"You too, kiddo." His attention was back on Agatha, and I left them to each other's company. Kent knew he just had to call out to Connie if they needed me, or Kelly for that matter.
As I walked around the firehouse, keeping an eye on the civilians, I noticed Boden talking to one of the women from a building fire some days ago. I sent him a simple nod with a knowing smile before checking in on Elli and Katie. Surely Katie was getting a little overwhelmed with how many people she and Cruz were cooking for.
"How's Auntie Katie doing, Principessa?" I hugged Elli's little body as I stopped behind her to watch the cooking over her head.
"Her cooking is better than Daddy's," Elli waved her sticky hands in my face to prove her point.
Katie smiled guiltily beside the stove. "She stuck her fingers into the sauce before I even noticed."
I shook my head, making sure Elli knew she couldn't do that, before I turned my attention back to Katie. "She gets it from Kelly, he can't help sticking his grimy hands into food either, and Brooke's the same. Might be the Severide genes."
"I can guarantee I will use a spoon," Katie laughed. I went to add something about her family's genetics, chalking up to the fingers-in-food thing to being Kelly's mother as we walked around to the bigger dining table, when a crashed and bang interrupted me.
A man was slamming a younger guy into the table, and Kelly and Boden rushed to separate them. I passed Elli to Katie, who held her niece closer to her shoulder. The man, after being shoved into the metal counter by Kelly, stole a knife from Cruz and waved it at everyone.
Kelly raised his hands in front of him. "Put the knife down, and get out."
"That guy's drunk brother put my niece in a coma!" The man shouted, pointing the knife at the kid he was beating up, before moving it on Kelly.
"We're not going to say it again," I pointed a finger at him. I doubted it would do anything, but it was worth a shot. "Put the damn knife down and get out."
The man didn't move for a moment, staring at me, before he moved to rush Kelly and jump the kid again. Before he reached Kelly, I threw my head into his torso and pushed him into the round table as civilians previously sitting there fled. As I got my arms around him, the man slashed at me and I backed off instinctively.
My self-defence trainer had stopped training me since I started in the CFD when I was 18, so I knew I was a little rusty but the ache in my shoulder really shouldn't have felt as bad as it did.
The man swiped the knife at my face, the tip grazing my cheek and causing me to back up even more. Kelly rushed him, shoving the man into the counter again and making him drop the knife. Once the weapon was gone, Kelly grabbed the guy by the back of his neck and dragged him outside. Boden followed, silently telling me to stay put with the civilians.
I checked on Elli, who was crying from watching her parents get in a fight, and made sure Katie wasn't too panicked. When the guys came back inside, Kelly did the same and wiped the blood from my face.
Boden talked to the on-looking civilians, reassuring their safety, before he turned to us. A couple of my guys had appeared during the fight, and stood nearby. "Keep a look out for anyone wanting a fight; you do what Kelly just did and throw them out in the snow."
The guys and I nodded, knowing Boden was meaning us mostly, given our training. I patched up the cut on my face in the bathroom, as Gabby poked her head inside. "Jay's looking for you."
He was waiting in my office by the time I found him, and as soon as he saw the bandage on my face, Jay lifted his hand for his finger to lightly graze the plastic cover. "Shay called Brooke and said you'd been scratched. She didn't say anything about a knife until we got here though."
"I'm okay." I didn't even believe myself so much that my voice was shaky.
The frown he gave me was a dead giveaway he didn't believe me either. "Thea..."
Thank god Kent and Agatha weren't in my office, because as soon as my nose felt tight and my shoulders started shaking, I started crying and holding onto Jay's shirt.
I was terrified. Mortified that I could've been stabbed, and Elli would've seen her mom get stabbed. She saw her mom fighting. The only thing worse than that was seeing her mom get stabbed. I was doing everything I could to make sure Elli didn't have the same childhood as me, and I let my teenage self take over.
As soon as I met Herrmann and I knew I wanted to be a firefighter, I was going to put my fighting instincts behind me and I'd be a better person than teenage me was. When Elli was born, and I knew she needed a mother, I promised little newborn her that I would do everything I could to make sure she didn't see that version of me.
The version of me that punched first and asked questions later. The version of me that ignored how much her grief affected her that she hurt everyone around her.
But as scared as I was that my toddler saw me any differently, I was scared I was going to die. I didn't want to die. Sometimes I did, but in that moment? No way. I had people to live for now.
I had a husband, who I might not have married because I was in love with him, but I was in love with the time I spent in his company. I had a little girl who needed a mother. I had a best friend who needed my help raising his baby girl, because he was scared he'd end up being another version of his father.
I had a husband. We would have kids eventually. He would need their mother around as they grew up. Those kids needed their mother around. They needed their mother around. They needed their mother around.
"Theodosia, look at me." Jay's voice came through all the voices in my head, and I realised he had been holding my face for at least a few minutes. One thumb grazed over the bandage, and the other wiped the tears from the left side of my face. "You're okay, now. The bastard comes back to get you, I'll kick his ass before he comes in the door. I'm not letting him hurt you."
I bit my lip to stop the tears, just staring at Jay's face. Counting his freckles to calm myself down; his eyes were a really pretty shade of green. They were so much prettier with the freckles all over his face too. "What did I do to deserve you?"
"You didn't need to do anything to deserve someone caring about you, Thea. It's about time someone makes sure you know that. You're amazing, Thea, and I know Elizabeth looks up to you more than anyone."
"Teddy." I murmured, receiving a confused frown. "You can call me Teddy. We've been together long enough now."
Jay smiled. "Great. I was starting to get jealous of Brooke being able to call you that."
"Oh, ha ha. Very funny."
"I am very funny, aren't I?" He grinned, looking a little too prideful.
We didn't get any more alone time, as Brooklyn threw open my office door. I was sure she was more worried about me than her brother, and she was ready to shoved Jay out of her way so she could take care of me.
"I'm okay, B. You two can head back to the district, I'm sure you're needed more there." I squeezed her hands with a little smile. As much as I liked Brooklyn, I felt bad taking any sympathy from her. She was younger than me, and she really didn't need to worry about me; her brother did that enough. "As long as Katie and Elli are okay, you need to get back."
Brooklyn gave Jay a look, before she nodded and she bid goodbye. Jay squeezed my hand before following after her. The sweetheart that Gabby told me about was starting to show, or maybe he always was one and I just didn't notice.

A Whovian Watches Star Trek for the First Time: Part 093 - "Life is Change"
Star Trek: Enterprise - Season 4 Episode 21 - Terra Prime
Enterprise tries to block out Terra Prime's Signal, but nothing works. The Signal is too wide, and destroying the ship will blow up a colony on Mars. Terra Prime then start fearmongering about the baby. Later in the episode she gets named Elizabeth, and calling her that feels less clinical than just calling her "the baby". They also start to threaten to destroy Star Fleet command unless all aliens leave earth.
Enterprise tries to make a tactical retreat to Earth, and the Conference on Earth starts to be disrupted by several protests outside the various embassies. Archer's plan is to send in a stealth team. He sends Malcolm to meet Harris to find a way past the array's sensor grid. Apparently, within 10 meters of the planet's surface is a blind spot in the sensors. The plan is use a comet due to get reflected by the array to get onto the planets surface, then use this blind spot to travel from the Pole to the Array.
Meanwhile in the Colony, Trip and T'Pol finally get to see their daughter, and we find out that Terra Prime got Trip and T'Pol's DNA from a traitor on Enterprise, but who is this traitor? Trip is also coerced into improving the accuracy of the comet deflection array.
As I said last episode, I really like how Terra Prime and it's rhetoric parallels that of real world right wing populists. Both modern populists in their recruitment speeches, and older 1950's rhetoric around mixed race children when Paxton is talking about Elizabeth, and also just the fact that Terra Prime is Latin for "Earth First", which mirrors the names of a few real world nationalist groups. It's a brave choice for the episode to tackle this topic so directly!
We got a nice scene with Trip trying to deconstruct Terra Prime's rhetoric, and when that doesn't work we get to see him do the good old strategy of punching a space nazi, love to see it!
While Trip is doing good, Travis, Archer, Malcolm and Phlox start enacting their plan, and have a rough ride down onto mars. They have a rough landing, but they survive the entry into the Atmosphere, and the ride to the Array works.
I loved T'Pol just trying her best to be a mother and just talking to Elizabeth about how she needs a name in full Logic mode. Trio gets put in a prison cell, and I love seeing this guy at work, engineering a lockpick out of random scraps.
Earlier in the episode, T'Pol does a scan on Paxton, and apparently, Paxton is surviving through alien medicine. That kind of Hypocrisy is common in the type of person the episode is criticising and I love it here. When T'Pol got the scan, I was kinda worried that the episode would just have Paxton straight up be an alien, which I don't think would have worked as well, but just having that little bit of "rules for thee but not for me" hypocrisy goes a long way in characterising Paxton as a villain. T'Pol tries to use this information as Blackmail to get her, Trip and Elizabeth out of mars, but it doesn't work.
We get a brief scene of Hoshi in command, and she's actually a great leader, and I love seeing her stand up to the Governor who's pushing for the radical option of kabooming the array along with the colony.
As this is going on, the ground party encounter Trip, and they reach the control room, as Hoshi is in position to destroy the array. A firefight breaks out, and the room starts to depressurise. The struggle with Archer and Paxton fighting and switching the weapon on and off was great. Unfortunately, in the end the weapon fires. Thanks to trip though, the shot misses, and Earth is saved.
At the end of the Episode, we get a final scene with Trip and T'Pol naming the baby, as I mentioned Earlier, Elizabeth, naming her after Trip's sister. Unfortunately, because of Elizabeth's Unique nature, she has a genetic disorder and is dying. Phlox is trying his best, but he's unable to do anything. Elizabeth sadly passes away, and the scene really made me cry. Trip and T'Pol's grief is really well performed. However, they are given the hopeful note that it was a fault of the process, not of the specific combination of Vulcan and Human genes, even if it's less hopeful and more bittersweet for Trip and T'Pol specifically.
Meanwhile, Malcolm and Travis find that the shuttlepod had been tampered with, in a way that could have killed the ground crew is Travis wasn't such a skilled Pilot. They trace the Tampering through Kelby down to an Ensign Called Masaro, who would appear to be our Terra Prime Spy. Archer catches him, but Masaro takes his own life.
Finally at the end of the episode, we see Archer give a speech that finally kickstarts the alliance that I'm assuming leads to the Federation that Daniels kept going on about. While I wish there more seasons, it is still a really fitting note to leave off on, the galaxy coming together for the future, and it ties off all the themes of the series really beautifully.
Since the list I'm following says to skip episode 22 until much later, that's me finished enterprise now. I've grown really attached to this crew since I started this 93 days ago, and well, it's been a long road, getting from there to here.

She Wolf
"SOS! she's in disguise, and she wants to move. restrictions aren't ever fun, are they? well, in some cases they can be exhilarating!"
pairing - zen/hyun ryu x black! reader/mc
genre/tags - MDNI, long-standing friendships, long-term relationship, after-story tings, guard dog and pretty privilege, slightly chubby reader(?), smut-fluff, rope bondage/shibari, foreplay, aftercare
summary - it was “ladies night” and for once you wanted to let your hair down. you work so hard, and the world asks too much of you on the daily anyways. what's wrong with getting a bit wild and loose?
notes - 2.3k words, no i can not stop thinking of a dance sequence with this man and him falling head over heels with me because of it,(🦗🦗🦗). anyway it is two songs in one, she wants to move and she wolf because both music videos have wolf imagery that connects to a woman 💕
It wasn't like hosting the parties was a lot. You had so much help from the RFA with gathering guests, Saeyoung would pitch in on changing the emailing code so things could go smoother and Jaehee would always pitch in to organize stuff whenever she had spare time. You couldn't complain about your role, but having Zen as your guard dog could get very draining at times. 'Darling, you know how I'm a bit possessive. I can't help it when you look so beautiful, I don't want other guys getting any ideas.' Sometimes it was endearing but at other points, it got on your nerves. At one point Jumin pointed out that he could relate to Zen and compared you to Elizabeth! Not like being compared to a pampered cat wasn't too far off but the similarities were enough to make you push for a change in pace. That's why tonight, you were going out.
You told Zen that it was Ladies' Night, you were heading out to a small café for a book club, and told him not to wait up. That was enough to make him curious, but he didn't jump to ask you a hundred questions. After all he knows that you are capable and you wouldn't lie to him, right?
Going into the chatrooms he vented some of his frustrations and; as usual, the mischievous Saeyoung was quick to offer to come over and monitor what she was doing. He had turned it down at first, reasoning that it was weird and just wrong to not trust his girlfriend of four years. However, as it started to get later at night he got worried, and your 'don't wait up' held a new meaning with each passing hour. He had gone back into the rooms to just ask Saeyoung instead of coming over and dealing with his ridiculous doorbell. In the midst of waiting for a response, he bickered with Jumin if it was an invasion of privacy or just looking out for her safety.
Upon hearing that you seemed to be at a club he had abandoned the chatroom in an instant. He sped off to your location on his motorcycle, the whole time his mind raced with what you'd be up to. You wouldn't leave him, you never expressed any displeasure in your relationship, but what on earth were you doing out at almost two in the morning clubbing?! He should've noticed your shoes, the purse you had, the way your hair was done, how you seemed to try and cover up exactly what you were wearing out. On top of that, if you did plan to find another guy how was he going to win you back? Pulling up to the club he took notice of how it wasn't too big or too small, the line outside seemed short and there was a bouncer so it seemed like you were safe in choices so far. Luckily it was easy enough for him to get in, with his stardom status and all, and that's when he saw you.
You were enjoying yourself. A couple of drinks, but not enough to get you drunk. Dancing on the dancefloor and steering away from any guys that tried to shoot their shot. You'd show them pictures of you and Zen together, or open the chatroom momentarily. You didn't think that he'd come looking for you, or that you stressed him so much with just one night out. "Zenny!" you greeted him and promptly leaned on him in a hug. He looked like he was trying to be upset but failing. "Aw, Zen, come on have some fun with me for a little bit." He didn't answer, just picked you up and started to carry you out as you protested and just wanted to have some fun. "Oh we'll have fun, just wait til we get back home." That kept you quiet. Holding onto him, while you rode on the back of his motorcycle.
Arriving back home, he still carried you and only put you down once you were in the living room. "What. on earth. were you thinking?" Here it comes, a huge tirade about how you worried him sick, if you were seeing another man if he didn't please you enough, what he did wrong. In the midst of his spiraling, you held his face and called his name in the sweetest voice, "Hyun," He stopped as his red eyes met your brown ones. "I would never cheat on you or leave you. You've always made me happy and I love you so much." You reassured him and his once serious to shocked expression, now, became soft. "Then... why did you lie to me, why did you leave without telling me where you were going, you know how-" He had sat down in front of you on the coffee table now. "Yes, I know and that's why I didn't tell you. You always worry about men messing with me, despite me being capable on my own. I know you and Jumin don't... agree on everything, but he's kind of right with how you've been treating me." If this came from anyone else he'd be stubborn and continue to deny it, but after tonight, he could only stare into your eyes. Giving him a kiss on the forehead you pulled him into a hug, both of you now lying on the couch. His head rested on your chest as you patted his head. "Zenny, you know I love you dearly. It's just that, I've been feeling kind of stuck recently. I would've gone to the club with you but, I'd have to stay by your side and if I was on the dance floor you'd be trying to cover every side of me. In fact, I wouldn't even be able to wear what I really wanted," You gesture to your clothes with one hand and he sits up. "without you trying to cover me up more." You sit up as well and kiss him on the lips, "I know you want to protect me, but I need to be free." You say, finishing your own little speech and he just holds you close in his arms. "Darling, I'm so sorry. I can be very clingy and too possessive at times, but for you, I'll try to stop that." You smirk, looking up at him. "Or you could place those feelings somewhere else?"
He was confused at first til you kissed him again, but this time sliding your tongue into his mouth and pulling him back down. When your legs instantly wrapped around his waist, he knew exactly what you were up to. Wrapping his arms around your back he lifts you up and carries you to the bedroom. When you break the kiss he seems to pout but it's replaced with heavier breathing as he feels your lips on his neck. He sits down with you on the bed, his hands on your waist as he tries to keep cool but struggles with restraint and pure desire.
"Darling, this is very unfair, it's torture." He took a breath against the shell of your ear, "You can’t just be rolling your hips like that when I’m trying to keep it together."
You laughed a little as you kissed and licked at his neck, whispering in his ear. "You don't have to keep it together," You tell him and caress his chest, "I want to see all sides of you, Zenny. The same way you see all sides of me." Locking eyes again you feel how hard he is, and notice how his body shudders as you grind against him. You've been here with him before but it was never intense. As much as he would speak of 'the beast', and how corny you thought it was, you had yet to see him fully unleashed.
Holding you close, he scoots the both of you a bit more from the edge of the bed to the headboard. His body tensed at the feeling of your relentless grinding, combined with the onslaught of your love bites and kisses to his neck. Zen lets out a slight growl, gripping your ass and rubbing your sides. His hands go under your short red dress and you stop. Lifting your arms to help him with taking off your clothes then he does the same when you take off his shirt. Crawling off of his lap as he takes off his pants, you reach for the drawer on the headboard. "Zenny," you coo to him, waving around a soft cotton rope. Setting it to your side as you sat on your calves in the bed, reaching out to him. He stood in front of you, placing a hand on your cheek as you looked up at him.
“Sweetheart…” That’s all he can say, his voice full of desperation and need, despite still trying to not 'release the beast'. "Before you say anything, this is what I meant by placing those restrictions... somewhere else." You have a devilish grin as you start to slowly unravel the rope. He sighs, how could he say no to that face. Pulling you up with one hand, taking your spot on the side of the bed, he said "Show me where you want me to tie you, baby" and began to tie the intricate knots.
You watched him the whole time. The rope goes over your chest, waist, and thighs. He took the time to make sure they were tight, but not too tight. Leaving kisses and bite marks along the way. It took a moment but when he finished he double-checked with you. "Do they feel right? Good?" He asked you, his eyes meeting yours and smiling seeing you nod and look over the ropes yourself. It felt constricting but comfortable, almost like a tight hug.
As you turned around he admired your body, the way the rope caressed your body, how in certain parts you seemed to spill over the ropes. He pulled you close to him, fingers slipping under the ropes and gripping you as he did. "This is only for me..." He muttered into your skin with kisses to your tummy, hands roaming over your body. "All yours," you echo his sentiment, holding the sides of his face as you crawl back into his lap. You would've picked back up where you left off, but the look in those red eyes made you freeze. Switch positions, you're laid out on the bed with him hovering over you. Noticing he's still hard your hand slides down but he grabs your wrists and raises them above your head. "Ah, ah, ah darling." He kisses your neck and whispers in your ear, reaching down and running two fingers up and down your slit. Earning a whine and hips slightly raising for more pressure. He always sought to have you absolutely soaked and pleading for more, you didn't expect any different, though this time his voice held a dominance that subdued you almost instantly.
"Zen, please... I..." You could barely speak with how he worked your clit between two fingers, and then slid those fingers in one by one. "Mh, I know," He huskily whispers, "You're already so wet, babe." Whining and raising your hips more from the stroke of his fingers he chuckled and continued his onslaught to your neck, "Good girl, but you want more. Don't you?" He asked quickly sliding his fingers out. You whined and nodded vigorously. He kisses your forehead and has you sit up with him before he changes positions again. "Ride me however you want babe." He offered, smiling as you climbed on top of him and you placed his hands on the rope by your hips. He grips it, "I want your control, but only like this Zenny." You lean forward, a hand disappearing between each other, and kiss him again as you position him at your entrance and press back. As he slides into you he breaks the kiss, letting out a low and husky moan. “Oh, god…” His eyes are staring into yours for a second before they roll back in his head as if he’s going to faint.
Taking a moment of slowly rocking back and forth, your head nestled into the crook of his neck and shoulder. He kept his hands gripped onto the rope, moving you back and forth. "More," you groaned into his ear between kisses and moans. Zen was quick to oblige. Your ass slapped his upper thighs and as he hit a deeper spot you sat up. He had stopped, but you kept rocking back and forth. Whining and placing your hands over his as you lifted yourself off and back onto him, struggling to get the same pace. He props up his legs and thrusts into you, much to your pleasure as the moaning and whines grow louder. Not being able to sit up anymore, your body flops against him as he continues to move you with the rope. "Such a good girl..." He says between grunts and kisses to your face. "Taking all of it, rough and soft... Just the way you like it huh?" He was teasing you but he wasn't wrong and you were engulfed in pleasure.
A few breaks and positions later, finishing with you lying on your chest, he pulls out and quickly starts to untie the knots. Placing kisses on them. "Was that good, darling? The rope didn't hurt right?" He asked. Looking up at him with a blissed out expression he just smiled down at you and started to kiss your face all over again. You simply giggled in response and kissed him back whenever his kisses reached your lips. Scooping you up in his arms, he carries you to the bathroom to clean you up. "I promise, the only restriction you'll have is when we're in the bedroom." He winks at you and you lean up to kiss his cheek, "Thank you, Zenny. I love you." You say, weakly wrapping your arms around him and he returns the affection. "I love you too, darling."

Chapter 3: Help Wanted
Mouse quickly trotted to catch up to their new rescuer. Looking back every once in a while, to make sure that they weren't being chased.
"What's the deal with those guys?" Elizabeth huffed.
"Just an aggressive pack of Mightyeena. They love picking on small weak Pokémon like you." The Poltchageist said.
"Excuse you, we're not weak!" Elizabeth snapped. "We couldn't fight back because the leader was playing dirty."
"Some leaders are like that." The tea caddy sighed. "And that's why I prefer to be alone." They open the door to their cottage and stands aside. "After you." Mouse silently pads pass the Poltchageist and entered the home, followed by the housekeeper. The Eevee pauses to admire the interior of the cottage. Crystals and herbs hung from the ceiling.
"Wow... this is your home?" Ellie asked.
"Yes, I grow and dry herbs to sell for medical needs in towns." The Poltchageist said. They took a bundle of herbs down to grind in a mortar and pestle.
"We never properly thanked you for helping us. Or even introduced ourselves." Elizabeth said. "My name is Elizabeth, by the way. And this is my friend, Mouse." Mouse signed 'thank you'.
"Pleasure to meet you two. I'm Lavender Tea. And, don't mention it." Lavender said. The Poltchageist fills their carrier with jars of herbs they've grounded up. "So, where are you two headed? And where's your parents little Eevee?" The Eevee looks around, then points to themself. "Yes, you."
Mouse looks away. "They... The kid doesn't have any parents." Ellie answered. "If anything, I could be considered their mother, but there's only so much I can do to help them."
"I see... Well, what do you two plan to do?" Lavender asks.
"We would like to find someone to help us." Elizabeth said. "Although we can normally take care of ourselves just fine, we do need help figuring out how things work here, since this land is new to us."
"There's a town not to far from here, I can take you two when I'm finished with this next few batches." Lavender explained.
Mouse looked around the cottage and sniffed the burning incense that filled the room. Plants growing on the window sill. The walls soft with moss.
"So, you live here by yourself?" Ellie asked.
"Yep. Living off the grid is much better, for me at least, because there's no expectations put on you, and the only thing you need to worry about is forest ruffians." Lavender said. the Poltchageist poured the grounded herbs into a small glass jar. "Let's go, to Baram Town." They pick up the basket filled with herbs and lead the duo out of the house.
When the trio reached the town, Mouse's muscles were tense as they passed the town entrance. So many Pokémon gathered in small groups, each one tending to their own group of friends, catting amongst each other. Deciding what jobs to take on, arguing over food preferences, and laughing in conversation.
"So, what do we do here?" Elizabeth asked.
"We make a flyer to get the Eevee into an apprenticeship somewhere, or would you rather settle with a foster family." Lavender said. "So, Are you looking to get into a rescue team, shop stalks, or just look for foster parents?"
The Eevee and hilt just looked at each other. "We'll take the rescue apprentice thing." Elizabeth answered.
"Good." The Poltchageist wrote stuff on a poster paper, and stuck it to the bulletin board.
It reads:
"Young masked Eevee looking for rescuer apprenticeship. Meet me at Garura's Cafe."
"This way." Lavender Tea lead Mouse and Elizabeth to a cafe. "I'll keep watch until you two get picked up by a rescue team. But until then, I'm afraid this is were we part ways."
Mouse looked with shock under their mask. "Wait... You-you're not coming with us?" Elizabeth asked.
"No, I have my own place in life. Like I told you, I'm an solo herbalist." Lavender explained. "If we ever cross paths, don't be afraid to say 'Hi', or buy one of my remedies." They pick up their jarred medicine and hovered over to a booth, that was in eyesight of Mouse's seat.
Mouse and Ellie just sat there, chatting, waiting for their new job.
I wonder how how the princess and everyone else is doing...

March—May 2004
"You're joking, right?"
"Why would I be joking?"
"Because you just had Josephine..."
"The sooner we have them all, the better," Erick shrugged.
"Anne," Mel blinked. "How many children are you planning to have?"
"Six!" Anne said. "Or Five. Depends."
"On what?"
"How long it takes to have a boy."
"You keep getting pregnant 'cause you want a boy?" Ginny snorted. "That's mental!"
"I mean, if they want to have a boy then by all means do! But... isn't it easier, like, adopting? Or maybe use magic?" Mel suggested.
"That would be cheating."
"Having children is not a game," Erick stated. "Listen, if it were up to me I'd be happy with the girls we have, but Anne insists on having a boy, so we keep trying."
"Not the worst sacrifice you've had to make, is it?" Mel teased him.
"If my wife wants it so badly, how can I refuse?" He grinned.
"Be careful, you could end up like Mel and Harry," Ron mentioned as he entered the drawing room.
"Very funny," she scowled at him.
"I still can't believe you're having twins!" Hermione shivered. "It's a bit scary to think of two mini Mels running around—"
"They could be mini Harrys!" Mel responded angrily.
"Yeah, but that is so frightening we prefer to ignore it," Erick joked.
"Stop it!" Harry threw a chicken bone at the man across the table.
Mel turned it into a butterfly. "Don't do that in front of the kids!"
"They're not paying attention!" He looked over his shoulder. "They're braiding Padfoot's tail..."
Emily, Elizabeth, Teddy, and Regulus were dressing up the boy's dog like a fairy. The black pet was sleeping soundly, unbothered by the children's game.
"So when is your baby due, anyway?" Mel returned to their former subject.
"December," Anne smiled. "It'll be our Christmas present to the girls."
"Ah, the only thing a rich man can't buy—"
"A baby?" Ron chortled. "Pretty sure he could do it if he asks around..."
"Happiness," Mel kicked his foot under the table. "A real family."
"I had a family already," Erick looked at the group with endearment. "I just wasn't a father."
"Have you seen the babies' room? Ginny and Mel just finished it yesterday," the mention of fathers pushed Harry to talk about his near future. "It's really nice."
"It was loads of fun!" Ginny said blithely. "I bought loads of toys, it's so fun being able to spoil children that aren't mine..."
"You sure are putting to use all of the money you've got," Ron raised a brow. "And you still won't give your poor brother free tickets for your games."
Ginny raised a brow. "Last I checked I had no poor brothers."
"C'mon!" Ron complained. "Not even as a wedding gift?"
"That's supposed to be something for the both of you! Not just the groom—"
"I wouldn't mind free tickets, actually," Hermione announced. "I'd like to see you play."
Ron and Hermione's wedding was approaching, it would be far smaller and more private than Harry and Mel's, but it was still an exciting event for everyone.
"Really?" Ron stared at her in surprise.
"Well, I used to enjoy watching you lot play at school, I just didn't like that you were so intense about it."
"It was the only thing I could do without your help," Ron quipped.
"That's right, you would ask for ours instead," Harry retorted.
Ginny chortled. "If you guys really want tickets, I can give you some. Would you like to go too, Annie? You've never been to a Quidditch game, have you?"
The woman's eyes brightened. "I'd love to!"
"Can I go too?" Erick inquired.
"What about you guys?"
Mel looked down at her growing middle in worry. "As long as it's not in August..."
"Oh don't worry about it, I'm sure the staff will make sure Mel Dumbledore remains comfortable and happy if she goes to watch our games," Ginny smirked. "Would give them a good rep in front of everyone else."
"That without mentioning they would hate to face Harry's rage if she's mistreated," Ron added.
"Look at these!" Mel beamed. "They're so sweet!"
"Are we going to be those parents that dress their twins in the same way?"
"No! That's nonsense," Mel chuckled. "Buying two of everything sounds like a waste, and if they grow as quickly as I did, the clothes won't even last them for a year— if I could, I would just have them wear a diaper all day and then maybe a little coat if it gets cold..."
"That way they would catch pneumonia," Harry raised a brow. "You have been reading the parenting books Erick lend to us, right?"
Mel gave him a look. "I was joking."
Harry smiled a little, he looked back at the small trousers in front of him and sighed. "I never had new clothes after I was sent to my aunt. It feels nice, being able to buy stuff for my kids."
His hand went to Mel's belly in a gentle action, he would do that quite often, as if trying to convince himself that it was real, that their family was about to grow twice as big.
"What do you think?" He asked the babies. "Would you like to spend your first year fully naked?"
Mel waited to see if the babies would kick, but nothing happened. She sighed. "They'll do it soon, hopefully..."
Hermione was ten years older than when the Yule Ball had taken place, but she was just as breathtaking when she stepped into the aisle. Ron's eyes remained on her throughout the whole ceremony.
Mel, who still enjoyed taking pictures with her old camera, realized how big her family was now that her friends had started to get married and have children. Everywhere she looked, she saw kids running around and laughing.
Everything they'd achieved during the last few years had done wonders. The recovery of her uncle, his healthy sons, her sturdy relationship with her grandfather, Mel's mother working as a magizoologist next to Newt Scamander's grandson...
"Everyone gather 'round!" She called. "We have ten seconds and not a large lens!"
Mel was pulled into the group and was squeezed next to the bride. Harry, Ron, Hermione and her were at the centre of the picture, and probably the happiest of the whole crowd.
She thought of her parents at James and Lily's wedding, and how different everything had ended for them. She would never be able to repay all of their sacrifices. At least they knew, somehow, that everything had been worth it.
"Now, that's a belly!" Emily exclaimed.
Mel got to her mother's house looking tired, she and Harry had been looking at cars the whole day and she was exhausted, all she wanted was a nap. Sure, being five months pregnant was not much, but it was starting to get uncomfortable.
It was strange, how she was losing her agility. She didn't like it. Mel had always been active and graceful, but now she was clumsy and slow, which was keeping her in a constant bad mood.
"Don't," she walked past her mother and stepped right into the drawing room. "My feet are killing me."
Reggie ran up to her and hugged her, Mel grimaced when he crashed against her stomach. "Let's play outside! I taught Padfoot how to walk on two legs!"
"In a minute, Leggie," she rubbed her lower back. "I've been standing for hours."
"I'm sorry," Harry said guiltily, entering the room after greeting Emily. "You did insist on coming along, though..."
"Going together is fun!" She argued. "I hate this... not the babies, of course," she added quickly, "but the whole..." she gestured vaguely. "I used to climb trees and hit bludgers with a killing aim, and now look at me... running out of breath after a five-minute walk..."
"That's normal," Emily reminded her, "you'll start to get tired more as time goes on, don't be so... you, Mel."
"What's that supposed to mean?" She frowned.
"You're impatient," Regulus was still tightly wrapped around her even now that she'd sat down. "Everything always has to go fast, fast, fast! Otherwise, you get all pissy about it."
"Who taught you that word?" Their mother frowned.
He grinned. "You swear a lot when you're distracted, mum. Mel does too. It's a bit of a miracle how I'm so well-behaved, isn't it, girls?"
"Little prat," Mel pinched his nose.
"Reg, you are too cheeky since you learned to use words," Harry sat next to them, ruffling the young boy's tufts of hair. "You're a lot like your father."
Padfoot rushed into the house then, he was a young dog with a lot of energy that really reminded them of Sirius' animagus form, only that this dog was definitely a dog only. Butt sniffer and all. The pet wriggled his tail with delight as soon as he saw Harry, who was very fond of the animal. The puppy placed his head on the young man's lap and demanded to be petted.
"If I put my ear really close to your stomach, d'you think I'll hear the twins?" Her brother inquired with curiosity, already pressing his head against her.
Mel laughed. "I don't think that's how it works, Paddie."
"But they are there, aren't they?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, we can't see them, so how do you know they're there?" He frowned. "How do you know if they're still alive?"
"Leon, don't say that," Emily replied in disapproval, but Mel waved a hand dismissing it.
"It's alright, it's a fair question," she said calmly, "I don't know if they're okay all the time, I just hope for the best until my next appointment with Daphne."
"And doesn't that scare you?" Reg looked at her with his big grey eyes.
"I'd be very scared if I didn't know I have you looking after me," she ran a hand through his hair lovingly. "Cause you are looking after me, aren't you, Leggie?"
"Don't call me that," he wrinkled his nose, pushing her hand away. "That nickname is plainly terrible."
"Tell me about it," Harry looked at her with mirth.
"That was great, how you handled Reg's question," Harry said to her once they were back home.
"It's nothing," she brushed it off. "The first time he asked about his father, I promised myself I would never lie to him. Regulus won't have to doubt me the way I doubted everyone when I was younger. The truth has never scared him."
"You think so?" Harry hesitated. "There are things I'm not certain he ought to know."
"What things?"
"What happened to us during the war, who is he related to— you know, the Lestranges..."
"Why not?"
"Well... I don't know if a kid can understand that completely. It might just hurt him."
"Harry, whatever happens, he'll face it without flinching. I don't mean he'll bury his feelings or anything like that— he's not like me. Regulus simply has no ounce of fear in his body."
"You are no coward," he replied promptly.
"No," she smiled in her Dumbledorish way, "but I've run away from things many times, I've never seen Reg do that."
"So what I'm hearing," Harry continued, amusement written on his face. "Is that we must pity whoever ends up crossing him?"
"I just hope is not a Malfoy," she chuckled.
Harry was barely waking up when he heard his wife gasping in the kitchen and dropping a plate.
"Mel!" He ran, his heart beating wildly. "What's wrong?"
He reached for his wand on instinct but stopped as soon as he saw her smiling face.
"They're moving!"
"What?" He stammered in confusion.
She gave a start, pulling her nightgown out of the way. "They did it again!"
Her free hand seized his, she snatched his wand away and placed his palm on her belly, now considerably bigger than it was at the start of the year. Harry's heart did a summersault the moment he felt the movement under his touch.
"You felt it?" She asked. "That's them!"
He was speechless, too focused on what he was feeling to form a coherent thought.
"Twins..." was all he managed to say.
Mel's eyes were so bright they might as well have been stars robbed from the sky. "I was just singing to myself, listing the chores I had to do— I think they're responding to my voice!"
Harry could relate to that, Mel's voice had always pulled his attention, even when he was fifteen and trying his best to ignore her, he would constantly catch himself looking for the sound of her in every room he walked past.
"Talk," she encouraged him, "maybe they'll move for you too!"
Harry stared at her belly feeling nervous. Why was it so scary, he couldn't tell.
"Er... hullo?" He tilted his head. "Babies?"
"C'mon, Harry!" She pouted. "Talk like a dad!"
"What's that like?" He frowned. Harry looked down again, he cleared his throat. "Your mother wants me to speak to you."
He stopped, it was the first time he'd referred to Mel as someone's mother. The words rolled out of his tongue easily, he didn't even have to think about it. After he did, his entire world was flipped upside down. Mel would be a mother. He would be a dad.
Mel sat down on the nearest chair and encouraged him to keep talking. He crouched before her and placed one arm on Mel's lap and stroked her silky pants with his fingertips. His other hand moved up and touched her middle, his index finger grazed one of her old scars.
"You know, your mum is the bravest woman I know," he said. "Even before we planned on having you, she did many things hoping she'd get to meet you one day, so you better appreciate her, or I will let her dress you in nothing but diapers until you're three years old."
Mel laughed, and they started moving again.
"There you are!" He exclaimed happily. "You two love Mel's laughter, don't you? You're just like me! Em says I would always pinch Mel's cheeks whenever she laughed when we were little, she never understood why I did that, but my dad thought it was funny. He said that I was trying to figure out if Mel was a mermaid."
Mel watched him ramble for a while, beaming at the way his voice got increasingly more joyful with every story he shared. She could see him five years in the future, telling all kinds of stories to their children.
"They stopped," he looked positively disappointed. "Should I try something else?"
"I think you put them to sleep," she tried not to laugh. "I know who'll be reading them bedtime stories once they're born."
He got up stiffly from his place on the floor, grimacing a little. "Merlin, we need more comfortable kitchen tiles."
Mel bit back a smile. "Don't make me laugh..." she looked at the broken plate beside them. "I should clean that—"
"Let me," Harry quickly got to work, vanishing the broken plate and the ruined eggs. "I'll cook you something else."
The witch stared at her husband adoringly. "I don't know why you keep freaking out about being a bad parent, Glasses, you're already doing a wonderful job."
"You know, one thing wizards did right, was this," Mel sat down happily on the tall bench at the bar and pointed at her clothes. "Robes! Haven't bought a single piece of clothing since I started to get bigger!"
"D'you wear 'em when you go to the muggle town near your house too?" Aberforth asked her with a barely noticeable grin.
"Yeah, most of them think I just have a weird taste," she grinned.
A group of men entered the bar, they stopped when they saw her, but Mel smiled at them and nodded her head as a greeting.
"Maybe you should go upstairs, girl," Aberforth suggested, staring at the strangers with a glare.
"Oh, but I came here to see you!" She pouted. "And Reggie wanted to visit as well, you know he loves you..."
"That boy tells everyone that walks into the bar that he's my grandson! He should stop that, confuses people..."
"Oh, only the idiots get confused," she brushed it aside. "You're the only grandad he knows, Abe! What's the matter with him wanting to adopt you as his family?"
"I'm not his grandad."
"Do you hate my brother?"
The old man grumbled a reply, and she giggled.
"You adore that boy."
Regulus came in from the back door, his pants were stained green and he had a bunch of flowers in his hands. "These are for you!"
Aberforth stood in shock at the bouquet the boy was offering. "Are you talking to me?"
"Who else?" The boy frowned. "They're for the bar!"
"My bar?"
"It's so quiet and sad here, these might cheer things up!"
Mel snorted at her brother's explanation, Aberforth was not amused.
"Take him out of my sight before I turn him into a toad! Wouldn't be that hard... already born with those eyes..."
"The more you push him away, the more he'll follow you around, Abe, I'm warning you..." Mel got to her feet. "Come on, Leon, let's visit Fred!"
"But if it isn't my favourite customer and his rich sister!" Fred welcomed them into the shop with open arms. "Had lunch yet? Jo will get here in five, we can all go to the three broomsticks!"
"Can I have a butterbeer?" Reg asked him.
"Abe didn't let him have any," Mel explained.
"Sure! Go take a look around the shop, mate, I'll give you anything you want with a fifty-percent discount."
"Really?" Reg's eyes went wide.
"As long as you promise to use it on Harry and Ron," he winked at him.
Mel hit his shoulder.
"There you are!"
The young woman looked up and found the teachers from Hogwarts at the entrance of the establishment. Hagrid was the first to get to her, he'd never been as gentle as in that moment, hugging her like she was a porcelain doll.
"Yeh getting quite big, aren't ye?" He beamed. "How're yeh?"
"What are you doing here!" Mel exclaimed delightedly.
"They heard I was having lunch with you and Fred, and they decided to come along," Joseph said with a smile, kissing his boyfriend shortly before taking a seat.
"We've been planning to pay you a visit, but now that you're here, might as well see you now," McGonagall handed her a primly wrapped parcel.
"This is not a broom, is it?" Mel teased her.
The woman laughed, it was weird how friendly she acted now that Mel wasn't a student.
"Open it!" Flitwick urged her. "We all put something in!"
Mel was so intrigued by his statement that she obliged. A small blanket was on display when she finally ripped open the wrapping. It had a faint scent of lavender mixed with something that reminded her of the greenhouses in the castle.
"This is..." she stared at it in awe. "Is beautiful."
"Having twins is a lot of work," Sprout said.
"It's our o'n making," Hagrid said proudly. "I knitted it."
"Pomona mixed some soothing herbs from the greenhouses and washed the fabric with the result, Filius and I put protection and cheering spells in it, that blanket will keep your twins warm and cosy no matter what."
"And if you pay a little visit to the castle, Slughorn will give you something extra to take with you, he's so enthusiastic about the news," Sprout added with a smile.
"Merlin, you're all so sweet!" Mel teared up. "I don't know what to say... this is... don't deserve..."
"Oh, hush dear," McGonagall said sternly. "You were one of the bests students we've had the pleasure to teach. Watching you grow and accomplish things beyond our expectations is more than enough payment for a lifetime."
"If I grow to be smart will you give me presents too?" Reg piped up from his seat, he'd been watching the group attentively.
Mel had a hard time hiding her laughter. McGonagall's face adopted a more serious expression.
"Young man, if we're still around by the time you attend Hogwarts, I assure you we'll do our best to keep that mind of yours as occupied as possible."
"We're home!"
"Brilliant!" Harry's voice came from the kitchen. "We're baking!"
Mel heard her young brother give a short gasp before running out of sight. Harry and Teddy were spending some quality time together. However, when she walked into the kitchen she found the Flint girls also seated at the table.
"We have a lot of guests tonight!" She smiled. "Are we celebrating something?"
"Mummy and daddy went to the baby's appointment," Emily explained shortly. "To see how is our sibling doing, you see."
"I see," Mel said in amusement. "And Harry and Teddy are making dinner?"
"Teddy wanted to use the oven, but I didn't want him to set our house on fire, so I'm helping him," Harry replied.
"I want to help too!" Regulus run straight to the faucet and washed his hands in a hurry.
"You can set the table if you want," Harry offered. "But be careful!"
"I'm always careful," Reg said proudly.
The girls waited patiently in their seats, watching such tiny little witches behaving like royalty was always entertaining, it was obvious Erick and Anne had done their best bringing up their daughters.
In their own home, though, they were very different. Emily continued to be similar to her father, clever and charming, but Elizabeth was all Anne, with light brown hair and green eyes, and freckles spread across her nose and cheeks. She was always running outside in their garden, getting her overalls stained with mud and cat prints. Josie was too young to know precisely what kind of personality she had, but she'd definitely inherited her father's dark curls just like Emily, though her eyes were darker than Erick's.
Since Mel was so entertained, she also took a good look at Teddy: he was a little too short for his age, and his hair at the moment was purple. His eyes were brown like his father's but he was definitely as clumsy as his mother. He seemed uncomfortable when people paid attention to him, and he would give Leon Regulus wary glances whenever he was loud and dramatic.
"What's that you got there?" Harry asked her.
"McGonagall, Sprout and Flitwick went to Hogsmeade with Jo and Hagrid to say hi, they gave me this!"
"It's supposed to help you shut the twins up if they get too whiny," Reg said bluntly, setting a plastic cup in front of Josie and patting her head as he walked past.
"They put soothing stuff in it," Mel gave her brother a mildly annoyed glance before continuing. "It was really nice of them, I went up to the castle to say hi, and you won't believe what Slughorn told me."
"What?"
"McLaggen is thinking of applying for a position as an Auror."
"No!" Harry blurted out. "Not that idiot!"
All the kids stopped and stared at him in shock, some more delighted than others. Harry blushed and apologized briefly, he was always careful not to swear in front of the children.
"Maybe he's not such a pain now, maybe he actually grew up!" Mel said humorously. "Can't be worse than Movak..."
Harry groaned. "Maybe, but if he shows no respect for authority during the trials I'm kicking him out."
Mel laughed. "Since when do you care about respecting authority?"
Harry glanced at the children. "It's not how it used to be when we were their age, Mel."
"That's true," she looked over his shoulder. "Smoke's coming out of the oven, by the way."

Here's a little progression of my spiderverse oc :)
I am really proud of the progress I've made on her, especially saying she was made purely because I liked the suit design
So, this was her originally, the actual character hadn't really been thought of yet, I was just mindlessly drawing possible suit designs for various spider people. I really liked this one, so later that day, I drew this:
I really liked the blonde, so I stuck with that and also decided that she was supposed to be from 70's, but you couldn't really tell that from this design, so I decided she obviously needed to be changed some more. Sadly, I don't have any online drawings of this, but I end up making her suit one peice, and ended up removing the vitiligo patches (I am planning on bringing them back into the design I just hadn't thought about it bc I was more worried about her clothes, and I would forget to draw them in the next few drawings). Anyway, I do have a drawing over her and her partner for that spider gala thing, so here's that:
Im hoping to explain both of them later on, but for now I'm just taking purely about her design. Anyway, as you can see I ditched the blonde and went much longer, I also wanted it to look much more Curly instead of just wavy, I'm still trying to make my hair look more realistic, especially type 3 and 4 hair, but I think it looks pretty good for now :) now, moving on to her current design (again there was a few more paper sketches in between, so these changes were a lot less drastic
So, here is Lizzie (Elizabeth)! She is 24, and is spider woman in London during the 1970's. I really like her design, and I think its coming to a stopping point (meaning I'm not going to be changing it much more in the future, not that I'm going to stop drawing her) I'm very happy to start sharing about her and her story more. Also she does need more friends so if anyone wants to do some kind of art trade I'd be happy to do so-
Thank you guys who read through my little design rant, it means the world to me <3

INTEREST CHECK & ACTIVITY CHANGES!
Don't worry, we haven't forgotten activity checks! Lindsey and I have been working behind the scenes at ironing out some changes to how we do activity checks, to give you guys a little more leniency while allowing us to stay on top of things with less stress / guilt.
Starting on Monday, May 8th, our activity requirements will be changing. Any account inactive for two weeks will be automatically unfollowed. Accounts that are inactive for one week, display inconsistent activity and/or are not replying to open starters will be warned. Checks will be done twice a month -- once at the beginning/end, and once in the middle. That should give people plenty of time in between and also a little more structure. I will have a more detailed post on this on Monday, as well as adjusting our rules then, so if you have any questions, please ask!
Another thing that we are introducing at this point in time is our 'extended reserve for future use' section, in which players can now reserve one face that they plan on developing a character around. Only one, however! We don't want to encourage face hogging, and if a significant amount of time passes, we will reach out to check and see if you're still moving forward with said character. We know (from our own current experiences!) that it can sometimes take much, much longer than one week to properly research and develop a character, and want to extend that courtesy to our writers.
So! To get everyone on the same page and with a fresh, clean start, we are giving everyone this weekend to contact us and interact with this post. If you are good to go, just like it, we'll cross you off the list and your roles are yours. If you need to drop or swap, or pause anyone, or make any changes, let us know! Happy to help.
PLEASE LIKE THIS POST TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOU'VE READ IT AND WOULD LIKE TO KEEP YOUR ROLES!

To explain to you how tired I was today. I'm just going to let you know that I accidentally tried to unlock a different blue Subaru. One that was not mine. I was very confused why my car wasn't unlocking and then I looked up and said that there was not a bunch of little toys in the windshield and I felt very embarrassed and I hope to set the owner of that car did not see me.
Today was not a bad day I was just really tired. And kind of dreading my workshop. I don't know why this always happens. My workshops are always great and I always have a great time but the lead up to them makes me so stressed out. But James had moved everything that I needed for the workshop to the car before I was even awake. I let myself sleep in an extra 20 minutes and after my alarm went off James was kind of next to me on the ground holding my hand while I was half asleep. I remember this happening I'm very clear on that.
But when I was up for real James was downstairs and they would give me a big hug and we talked about breakfast and lunch and then I had to go.
Even though I left 15 minutes late it wasn't bad. Traffic I mean. And I didn't even get to camp much later than I normally do. So that was fine. When I got to camp I had my breakfast and I looked at some emails and then I just worked on printing everything I thought would be useful to have out and available for our meeting with the consultant John this afternoon. And once I was done that I was poking around online and doing some research. And eventually Heather would come in and she gave me the template that they want me to use for lesson plans this summer so I'm starting to move all of my information for lesson plans over there. And while I think the lesson format is nice it's not exactly step by step and I'm a little worried that people are not going to be clear. But I'm going to do my best to explain in the short format that they want it.
It was a nice morning. I felt like I had a good amount of stuff to do and around 11:30 I had my lunch which was just snacks because we didn't have anything I could just bring with me. And then at noon I went over to the lodge to get the table set up for the meeting. And I figured I would just sit over there and read and play on my phone until it was time.
And that ended up working out really nice. I got over there and I had some trouble finding one of the whiteboards so I texted Sarah and she let me know where it was and it was totally fine. And I got everything set up and John ended up being there early so I let Heather and them know and I read and I talked to him and it was just a nice time.
Right before the meeting started everyone decided that the projector wasn't working well on the wall that we had it on so we had to move all the tables I set up. But I was not emotionally committed to this so I don't really care. And then we got into the meeting and honestly I felt like it was pretty productive.
We went through all of the things that we were going to talk about today and then John had us play a team building game with figuring out what license plates say. Like vanity plates. And there was some funny ones. And I think we did pretty good. I got six of the nine I think he showed us. I got two wrong. But it was very fun and when we got into the actual meat of the meeting so to speak. I finally just spoke up and talked about some of the things I've worked on because Sarah and Elizabeth kept looking over at me when he would ask questions about programming and he's like why are you guys looking over there and I'm just like because I'm the one that made all of them. And I'm not saying that because I'm salty about it. I really am excited that I've been working on these programs cuz that's what I want to do. But it's been a little frustrating that the conversation just keeps being oh we might use it if if. And I'm like but when is the if. When are we going to talk about it. Because it seems like we only talk about it when the consultant is here. But I think he realized that and now we're pushing towards getting more work done that isn't just me. And I was able to kind of get a little praise about how good my schedule work has been and how thorough I've been with making sure that everything is getting all of the components that everybody wants. It's just the execution that I can't handle that's in the future. So I get to be proud of myself for all of my hard work and that feels really good.
The second half of the meeting was a lot of like strategic planning about the training of camp and I have some thoughts about it but in general I really only have concerns about specialty and making sure that they have enough time to set up and know what they're doing because every year especially staff doesn't know their specialty staff until the week of training and I think that's stupid because then they have no time to prepare. Thankfully this year I am preparing for them but they still should have some input and have some time to get the space set up so they're not constantly floundering. And hopefully that will be worked into the schedule. That would make me very happy.
I really had to leave at 4:00. Because I had to stop and get something to eat before I went home because I would only be home for a little bit before I had to run to my workshop. And I hate leaving the meeting before it's over because they wanted to play one more team building game like hey guys this is great John thank you so much but I got to go. What are you teaching and I'm like printmaking and it's going to be great. But I left. And walked across the field, stopped at the office, and grab my bag, and then I was off.
I drove to cockeysville and stopped at Taco Bell. I got two tacos to have now and wanted to have later. And they were fine. The one was a little spicy. I feel like I've been very spicy sensitive this weekend I don't know why. Like everything is too salty or too spicy and I'm just being a big baby about it I don't know what's going on with my taste buds. But I ate those quickly and I was able to get home right after 5:00.
Traffic wasn't terrible. And thankfully changing out the cord in the car fixed all the issues and so I didn't have my podcast drop at all the entire drive. And I got home and was not pleased to see that they did not take our trash again. I know we have the old trash cans but still take our trash. So that was annoying. But I was really happy to see James and Sweetp.
After I unpacked my bag we sat in the studio and sweet pea was being really cute on the new pillow I got him. He really likes the alpaca fur. And we all just talk and it's nice. I was home for less than an hour but it was really nice being together and then I had to leave again. I gave James a big hug and then I was on my way to Creative Alliance.
I got a great parking spot when I got there and went right inside. I set up and moving the tables and chairs always takes the longest but I got it in a nice u shape and then I put out all my materials. I had one table for materials and examples and one for my ink and printing stuff. And I think next time I might have two printing tables just because there was kind of a line getting built up a few times. But everyone was so nice when they showed up. I ended up having eight people and three of them were sets of two. And the other two ended up making friends and exchanging numbers at the end and I thought that was so sweet. And everyone was just super kind. I don't think it was my best intro ever. But I still think that we did amazing and we had some issues with the black ink not printing correctly. So I might stop at Michael's tomorrow to grab more because that will be very annoying to deal with on Saturday with the kids. But honestly seeing everyone's work was just really awesome.
I made a bunny as my example and went through the whole process with them using that and I had them on practice on a little piece of rubber and show them how to transfer off of tracing paper and it was just a really great. And just seeing everyone's different styles was awesome. One person insisted on doing words. Because someone always does. But they ended up doing a really good job and I think that the way they did it worked out really nice.
While we were having trouble with the black ink the red and the blue were working great and someone was like hey could we make purple so I ended up mixing up some ink to be purple and that was really fun and then I noticed that my lid on my green was shattered and that had to have happened in the last day because it was not like that when I put it in the box that I carried everything in yesterday so that's annoying so I taped that together to hopefully keep the ink from drying out. But I was really not happy. At least everything else was fine.
No one seemed to want to leave so we were all just kind of hanging out and talking about music and stuff to do in Baltimore because the one girl had just moved here and I even got some really good tips about stuff that I should definitely check out. Like I'm not much for clubs but some of the other stuff they were talking about founded about. And who knows about her actually do it but I'm still excited to kind of foster that little community in that moment and that was really great.
Everyone want to know about the next workshops I'd be doing I told them all about the adult home act program that's going to be starting and we talked about different things that I teach and different museums that we all like since a couple of us worked in museums. And it was really lovely. I just worked on cleaning up while we talked and around 8:45 everyone was gone.
I stayed to wash everything in the sink because I did not want to do that at our house. And then I packed up everything in the wagon and went to the car. And now I'm sitting outside our house. Finishing up my post so that when I go inside I can just focus on James. Because they're leaving tomorrow for the weekend to go to Paul's bachelor party in Las Vegas and I'm jealous because I've never been to Nevada. I don't care about Las Vegas but I hope they have a really good time and get me a cool souvenir.
I hope you guys all sleep well tonight. I have a field trip tomorrow and our groups are huge so I'm a little nervous but hopefully it will all work out really good. Sleep well everybody. Until next time.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Nothing Remains, Night 20: Unfixable
''Welcome my friend to a night in our circus world. We're looking for a technician and you're just the guy we've heard of. We're held away by wiring, now we're wanting out. Can you shock us? Can you tame us? But we want your body now! Now behave, for the voices in the halls will try to eat you up alive. So before the show begins, please don't hold against our sins, 'cause by dawn you'll be crumbling in your skin! We are the tortured! We're not your friends! So long as we're not visible, we are unfixable! We are the curses, crumbled inside! Look left or right, we're unthinkable! Our fate is now unfixable!''
– Unfixable by DAGames (Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location)
xXxXxXx
Sam sighed, leaning her head against the table. She was completely exhausted, but she still had to get her shift done. Luckily, aside from some complaints about the animatronics staring at empty spaces, they didn't seem to be malfunctioning. It didn't take her long to figure out what the animatronics were staring at either.
''I think that we should cut the night short,'' Springtrap told Sam, drawing her attention. ''I know that we agreed to stay here much longer in case the Drawkills show up, but after what happened today, I feel that it would be better for you to just go home once your shift is done.''
''Sure, but…'' Sam muttered reluctantly, yawning.
''If you want, we could stay here and keep an eye on the location,'' Michael interrupted her. ''After all, I used to work at Freddy's as a night guard, and I'm sure that Sammy and Elizabeth won't mind staying here.''
Sam smiled tiredly and looked up to see Sammy and Elizabeth running from one side of the room to the other, with the animatronics watching the two, moving their heads left and right and vice versa as if they were at a tennis match. Both Sammy and Elizabeth seemed to be quite enjoying their little game, weaving between tables and peeking out of their hiding spots to see if they were still being watched by the animatronics. Sam then turned back to Michael and Springtrap, who were sitting across her, both looking a bit worried.
''I'm fine with that,'' Sam replied, narrowing her eyes. ''However, I'd still rather go along with what we had planned, regardless of what had happened.''
''I know, but after seeing you get stabbed and tortured, I believe that it would be better for you to take more time to recover,'' Springtrap replied, his eyes glowing in a faint purple. ''Tell me, does your chest still hurt?''
''It feels sore,'' Sam admitted reluctantly. While she had managed to get some rest, she was still in a state of stupor, having to put a lot of effort into focusing on her surroundings and the people she was talking to. She was well aware that she was in no shape to confront the Drawkills in case they appeared. She took a deep breath, leaning against the seat, and noticed Elizabeth and Sammy approaching them. ''Nevertheless, it's not like this is the first time I had to experience the sensation of death, as something similar happened when I got accidentally injected with remnant. I met the other children, who basically told me that I should die so they could prove their point, that point being that William was a danger to me. They were quite frustrated when I refused to go along with it, especially since I had the chance to return.''
''That's awful-'' Michael said, only to get interrupted by Elizabeth.
''That's just plain crazy!'' she exclaimed, drawing everyone's attention. There was a look of indignation on her expression. ''Why would they want to do that to you?!''
''I guess that, in their head, the end justifies the means,'' Sammy said, turning to Sam as he and Elizabeth sat next to her. ''If it didn't, they wouldn't have gone for you. No offense, but you basically made yourself a target for them.''
''None taken,'' Sam replied. ''I am aware that I had unintentionally made myself their target simply by caring about your father, and I can live with that. However, what frustrates me is that they are simply refusing to move on. I mean, this is no longer an issue they need to deal with, as I had taken over it and I believe that I'm handling the situation quite well.''
''That may be true, but you're not handling the situation the way they want,'' Michael told her. ''Of course, it's not like their ideas ever worked.''
''Exactly,'' Sam said, adding in a softer tone, ''Speaking of which, have you ever found Phone Guy? He did say to check the heads in the back room.''
''Unfortunately, not,'' Michael replied, shaking his head. ''Although, I'm not surprised. Fazbear Entertainment had probably cleaned everything and disposed of the body long before I had arrived. However, I'm not sure whether they considered his death another tragedy to add to their record or just collateral damage they had to hide. Considering how they treated all of their employees, I'd assume that it's the latter.''
''I guess that I should make sure that I won't suffer from the same treatment,'' Sam said, glancing at the animatronics. She felt chills crawling down her spine when she realized that they were now staring at their table. She tried to ignore them and glanced at Springtrap, who was unusually quiet the whole time, having a somber look on his expression, his head lowered. ''Will, what's wrong?''
''Honestly, I don't think that really anything of that matters,'' Springtrap said in a crestfallen tone. ''It doesn't change the fact that I'm responsible for you getting hurt. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't be in this situation.''
''William, it's not your fault for what happened to me, unless you want to say that you showing care for me was the wrong thing to do,'' Sam told him in a stern tone, with Springtrap looking a little anxious. ''I agree that, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in this situation, and honestly, I wouldn't change anything about it. You haven't done anything over the past few weeks to warrant such reaction and no, I'm not going to count what happened before you came here, as you already got punished for that. I know that I'm just repeating myself here, but that kid acted less like someone who was on a mission to protect me and more like someone who was angry that their favorite toy had been taken away and that the person who got it wouldn't give it back, so they've been trying to come up with some kind of excuse why they deserve that toy.''
''I assume that one of those excuses included them hurting you and then saying it was the old man's fault that you got stabbed,'' Michael said, crossing his arms as he briefly glanced at Springtrap. At first, he looked troubled, but then his eyes flared up purple as he remembered the event, with the feeling of anger washing over him. ''Nevertheless, it was still disturbing to see you holding that knife in your hand.''
Springtrap was startled, remaining silent for a moment. Michael rose an eyebrow, figuring that his father was trying to come up with another nonsensical excuse or explanation, only to be surprised when he shook his head.
''I admit, I actually wanted to murder the kid at that point, even though they were already dead. They had hurt Sam, and honestly, I didn't really care about the consequences,'' Springtrap said in a steady and serious tone. He then added in a more quiet tone, ''I'm sorry you had to see me like that.'' He sighed. ''I kind of expected for you to leave after that…''
''Well, you did explain to us what the hell had happened,'' Michael replied. ''Frankly, I would've wanted to hurt that little bastard as well for what they did to Sam.''
He fell silent, noticing Sam smiling at him and nodded. Even though he hated his father, he couldn't deny that the kid would've had it coming for almost murdering Sam. Even though her physical body hadn't been harmed, she still went through quite a horrible ordeal and it was surprising that she wasn't a broken mess because of that. He was aware that she was much tougher than people gave her credit for and knew well what she was getting herself into, being willing to still carry on with this ordeal.
''Henry might decide to pay you a visit because of what had happened,'' Michael added. Springtrap just nodded, having already expected this to happen as he was sure that Henry wouldn't let this go without lecturing him.
''Don't worry, I can deal with him,'' he replied.
There was a moment of awkward silence, with all of the table's occupants trying to figure out how to carry on the conversation without sounding strained or hostile. Springtrap was well aware that Michael, Sammy and Elizabeth were only tolerating his presence because of Sam and Michael agreeing with him on the kid's treatment was something he probably didn't want to admit. Nevertheless, he was quite happy that they actually tried to talk to him, awkward as the conversation was, instead of giving him the cold shoulder and completely ignoring him. Considering how much issues he had at maintaining a healthy relationship and admitting his mistakes, this was a huge step in the right direction and frankly, he was quite relieved about it.
''There is something interesting to note, though,'' Sam suddenly said. ''Despite all denial, by deciding to harm me, the kid had essentially shown that they are aware that William actually cares about me.''
''Not that they would ever admit it,'' Michael added. ''I mean, they're obviously not the type of person who would listen to logical reasoning.''
''I say that they're a lost case.'' Elizabeth crossed her arms, leaning back on her seat. ''If they continue like this, it will only get worse.''
''They are going to eventually lose their mind,'' Sammy added, him and Elizabeth exchanging grim looks. Both of them were well aware of how it felt to give into your desire for blood and torture or be completely obsessed with revenge, as they went through the same; Elizabeth having her mind corrupted by a murderous animatronic AI and Sammy torturing Michael for causing his death. Neither of them were proud of what they had done and they wanted to move on from their past. He and Elizabeth glanced at Sam, Springtrap and Michael, who gave them a sympathetic look, already knowing what was going through their head. ''I'm afraid of what is going to happen once they do. Lizzy's right, this can only get worse.''
''We won't let it happen,'' Sam replied in a determined tone. Sammy nodded, but he was still a bit anxious. ''Listen, I know that you are worried about me, but I'm not going down without a fight. I will be careful, but I'm not going to let that kid tell me whom I should trust. Also, I noticed that the kid didn't seem to like you guys either.''
''Yeah, they don't,'' Elizabeth said, her green eyes sparking up as she gave Sam a curious look. ''But, you do like us, right?''
''I do,'' Sam replied. ''I mean, I enjoy talking to you and you guys are treating me nicely-''
''Awesome!'' Elizabeth interrupted her, giving her a mischievous grin. ''So, does this mean that you won't mind if I call you my older sister?''
Sam was stunned, not really sure how to respond to her request. Springtrap and Sammy were also surprised, while Michael just groaned as he remembered the argument they had yesterday.
''Elizabeth, I had already told you that it would be inappropriate to ask Sam that,'' Michael told her. ''You know, there is something called tact.''
''Yeah, and you had plenty of tact to spare whenever you played pranks on Sammy,'' Elizabeth replied snappily. Michael went quiet, albeit still giving her an irritated look, with Elizabeth smiling. ''Besides, Daddy had already said that Sam's like a daughter to him and she was okay with it.''
Springtrap looked rather uncomfortable, not wanting to be dragged into this argument. He had already heard enough complaints from Emma and Henry. Elizabeth, on the other hand, gleefully ignored everyone's reactions.
''Not to mention, she is still a better older sibling than you are,'' she sneered.
''I have to agree with Lizzy here,'' Sammy added, with Michael giving him a bewildered look. He then sighed.
''Why me?'' he muttered.
''Well, if you weren't such a jerk towards me, I would have defended you,'' Sammy replied. Michael glanced at him, a look of regret on his expression.
''You know, guys, I actually don't mind you acting as if you were my siblings,'' Sam said, drawing their attention. She shrugged. ''Considering how I'm an only child, it would be interesting to see whether this relationship is going to work out.''
''Trust me, living with siblings is a nightmare,'' Michael told her.
''Of course it's a nightmare, since we have to live with you,'' Elizabeth told him, with Sammy nodding in agreement.
''You shouldn't be the one to talk,'' Michael told Elizabeth, his eyes narrowing. ''Didn't those animatronics kick you out because you were too bossy?''
''I think that the word you're searching for is 'self-sufficient', dummy,'' Elizabeth replied. Michael snorted.
''No, I don't think so,'' he replied. Elizabeth just glared at him as she heard voices from her past echoing in her head. Despite trying to ignore them, she could still remember the conversation she had with the other animatronics that were part of Ennard.
''You are crowding us.''
''Be quiet.''
''You can't tell us what to do anymore.''
''Yes, I can. You will do everything that I tell you to do.''
''We outnumber you.''
''That doesn't matter, dummy.''
''We found a way to eject you.''
''You would be lost without me.''
''Ha ha! Say goodbye to our friend!''
''I can put myself back together.''
''It doesn't matter, since I was still fine being on my own,'' Elizabeth said, crossing her arms. She smiled. ''Besides, I remember you getting quite scared when you saw me sitting in that room.''
''I hope that you enjoyed the shock therapy, you needed it,'' Michael replied dryly, with Elizabeth suddenly standing up on her seat, slamming her hands on the table.
''You know that it hurt!'' she yelled at him.
''It also hurt when I got scooped, but did I complain?'' Michael replied.
''Actually, you did,'' Elizabeth replied. ''A lot, I might add.''
''Well, who wouldn't?'' Michael continued. ''You carved me out like a pumpkin!''
''I told you that you wouldn't die,'' Elizabeth protested.
''Lizzy, I ended up looking like a decaying corpse!'' Michael snapped. ''I think that death would've been more preferable.''
''Well, you got your wish granted,'' Elizabeth replied, with Michael rolling his eyes. Sam meanwhile glanced at Sammy, who observed the whole argument looking rather unconcerned.
''Do they often argue like this?'' she asked.
''It used to be worse,'' Sammy replied, shrugging. He then added cheerfully, ''Welcome to the Afton family.''
Sam smiled, well aware of the madness she was getting herself into. Nevertheless, she didn't really care and was actually enjoying herself. She glanced at Springtrap who, while listening to the conversation, was staring at the table, looking rather uncomfortable.
''Will?'' He looked up, a bit startled. It didn't help that Sammy, Michael and Elizabeth, who snapped out of their argument, were also staring at him expectantly. ''What's wrong?''
''Honestly, I'm not sure whether I should be happy to be able to talk to you again, or mortified for what I had put you through,'' he admitted dejectedly.
''Try a mix of both, it's less of a headache,'' Elizabeth told him dryly. Michael and Sammy chuckled, while Sam just had an amused look on her expression. Springtrap, on the other hand, looked like he just wanted to disappear.
Despite all of their arguments, when it came to their father, they would waste no time teaming up and turning against him, especially considering how much he deserved it. Nevertheless, despite the awkwardness and tension, the conversation certainly went better than expected. Sam knew that the three could've done much worse, but they kept things, aside from some snide remarks, relatively civil. She glanced at Springtrap and noticing a look of guilt on his expression. She knew that he was regretting what he had done, but it seemed that the really wasn't anything he could do to atone for his past.
''Believe me, I am sorry for what I had put you through,'' Springtrap suddenly said in a more resolute tone, his eyes flaring up purple. Michael, Sammy and Elizabeth didn't look convinced, but decided to hear him out. Sam, on the other hand, was aware that he was completely honest about it his feelings. ''I wish that there was a way to change the past and I understand that you hate me. I know that you don't trust me and that you will never forgive me, and I won't ask you forgiveness.'' He sighed, trying to ignore the anxiety he felt. ''Still, I hoped that our relationship isn't completely unfixable.''
''What?!''
Michael, Sammy and Elizabeth gave him an affronted look, with Springtrap lowering his head, aware that this was the wrong thing to say and he understood why they reacted like this. Nevertheless, he had enough of being silent. He frowned, turning back to them with a determined look on his expression.
''I know that what I'm asking for is something you would never accept, and I don't blame you for refusing,'' he told them. ''After all, I had already lost you forever the moment I decided to put you through all that pain and abuse. Nevertheless, I felt that, if I hadn't said anything, that I would lose you again.''
''What do you mean?'' Michael asked.
''Michael, despite everything, I'm really glad that I was given the chance to talk to you and apologize for what I had done,'' Springtrap replied, then turned to Elizabeth and Sammy. ''I understand that you don't really believe that I want to become a better person, and I don't mind. Honestly, I don't trust myself either and you had already seen why.'' He tilted his head, smiling awkwardly. ''I'm still amazed that you're willing talk to me.''
''Don't worry, Daddy, you aren't the only one who is amazed that we're talking to you,'' Elizabeth said in a snarky tone.
''You know, Dad, you should've thought more about the consequences of your actions,'' Sammy added, glaring at him. ''Although, I guess that it's a good thing that you actually realized just how awful you were, both as a person and as a father.''
''If there's anything I could do to fix this situation-'' Springtrap started, only to get cut off by Michael.
''No, you can't,'' he said curtly, noticing the look of disappointment and regret his father gave him. Michael then exchanged glances with Elizabeth and Sammy, who nodded. ''Nevertheless, if you want to talk to us, we will be here. We had already told you that we'll be staying, hadn't we?''
''Really?'' Springtrap's eyes flared up, with him giving the three a hopeful look. ''Thank you, I-!''
''Don't get ahead of yourself, Father,'' Michael warned him. ''We decided to give you a chance, but if you mess up, we are gone for good and you won't have anyone to blame but yourself for, as you put it, losing us again.''
''I understand,'' Springtrap said. Despite his serious demeanor, he was incredibly relieved and even excited that Michael, Elizabeth and Sammy had actually agreed to give him a chance. He knew that this chance was more than he even deserved. ''I will make sure that you won't regret it.''
''Well, it's not the first time you broke a promise, so we don't expect much from you,'' Michael told him.
''I know,'' Springtrap muttered, resolving to work harder on fixing his relationship with his children. I cannot allow myself to make another mistake. He sighed, leaning back and glancing at the stage, noticing that the animatronics were still staring at them. He frowned.''Seriously, we need to figure out what's wrong with them. Not only do they seem to be self-aware, but are also able to either see you or sense your presence. Not to mention, they've been giving me weird looks as well, as if they don't know that I'm a spirit trapped inside an animatronic suit…''
''If you ask me, you should just leave them alone,'' Michael told him after briefly glancing at the animatronics. ''Every time you get your hands on an animatronic, you end up causing some kind of disaster.''
''I know, but-'' Springtrap said, only to get interrupted by Sam.
''No offense, Mike, but I don't think that we should leave those animatronics alone,'' she said. ''They have no reason to be able to sense or see spirits, since they're not haunted nor injected with remnant. Also, as Will pointed out, they were wary of his presence as well.''
''If you say so,'' Michael said, shrugging. ''At least they're not trying to kill you by stuffing you into a suit.''
''I wouldn't mind if they did that, because at least I'd know what I'm dealing with,'' Sam replied. ''Although, now that I think about it, they weren't the only ones who reacted to a presence of spirit, right Sammy?''
''Um, yeah… Plushtrap had chased me when I visited you yesterday,'' Sammy said, shuddering at the memory. ''He even managed to bite me, but the injuries had vanished.''
''Really? Why didn't you tell me about it?'' Springtrap asked. Sammy gave him an irritated look.
''I had other things on mind, or have you already forgotten about it?'' he said. Springtrap shook his head, feeling sorry for his son.
''Do you want to talk about it?'' Sam asked.
''I don't think that there is really much to talk about,'' Sammy replied. ''When I appeared in that room, I got scared by Nightmare Fredbear and then Plushtrap started to chase me.''
''Okay, but it still shouldn't be possible for Plushtrap to be able to hurt you,'' Springtrap told him, with Sammy shrugging. He wasn't really sure how to explain what happened to him.
''Maybe you being afraid had caused you to accidentally create a replica of the room and invited Plushtrap into it?'' Elizabeth suggested, with everyone giving her confused looks. ''I mean, we know that this works with Sam.''
''Yeah, but unlike Plushtrap, Sam isn't a soulless animatronic,'' Michael told her, only to give his father a suspicious look. ''On the other hand, none of us really know what exactly you had done to those animatronics.''
''Honestly, I don't know either,'' Springtrap admitted, a look of guilt on his expression. ''I shouldn't have ever tried to mess with souls, but it's too late now.''
''Maybe things aren't as complicated as we think,'' Sam said, drawing everyone's attention. ''I mean, Will had also managed to sense Sammy's presence, so Lizzy might be right about her theory.''
''You're right,'' Springtrap nodded, remembering the event. He then frowned, with something about the situation bothering him, even though he wasn't sure what exactly it was. ''However, I don't think that explains everything. There has to be more to it.''
xXx
''I assume that this is it,'' Drawkill Chica muttered as they reached the end of the road, quickly rushing past the last house on the street and into the woods behind it. ''We managed to get through one part of the town and we still haven't found anything.''
''The Boss won't be happy,'' Drawkill Foxy said bitterly, leaning against a tree.
''Honestly, I don't give a damn about him,'' Drawkill Bonnie replied being quite irritated. He crossed his arms. ''This search is pointless.''
''I had tried to argue with Connor about us searching for Afton and his friend wouldn't be efficient and that we should change tactics, but he refused to listen to reason,'' Drawkill Freddy told them, then reached for the communicator that was embedded in the back of his head, confirming that it was turned off and that they had complete privacy. ''Considering how we all agree that our creator has several screws loose and isn't worth trying to reason with, we need to find a way out of this situation.''
''What should we do?'' Drawkill Chica asked him.
''For starters, we need to disable all of the devices Connor had implanted inside us that give him full control over us,'' Drawkill Freddy told her. ''The communication device, the device that disables our AI and messes with our system… All of that needs to go if we want to be free from him. If we go against him now, he's going to fry our CPUs and we'd be unable to do anything against him. Hell, he might as well try to dismantle us and make another animatronic who would blindly obey his commands without the need of a distortion device.''
''How are we supposed to do that?'' Drawkill Bonnie asked as he sat down on the ground. ''Connor did tell us how to program the animatronics at Ricky's to be under his control, but he never told us how to remove those devices that were planted inside us. Obviously, he'd have a good reason for that, but honestly, I don't want to sit here fearing that my handsome self would end up having the functionality of a calculator once Connor decides that doesn't need us anymore. Or, we might just get turned into pieces of scrap metal; I'm not sure which one is worse.''
''Trust me, Bonnie, no one is going to be turned into scrap metal,'' Drawkill Freddy replied. ''Connor may-''
He suddenly cut himself off when he heard the door at the nearby house opening. He and the other Drawkills quickly hid behind the trees and the bushes, quickly closing their eyes so the bright light they was emitting wouldn't give away their position, as it was quite dark. A moment later, Drawkill Freddy, whose eyes were now dimmed, took the chance to briefly glance at the porch, noticing a woman looking around. She had a smartphone in her hand, using the flashlight function as a source of light and was probably searching for them.
Drawkill Freddy heard Drawkill Foxy growling and noticed the latter raising his sickle and creating scraping marks on the wood with his sharp claws, looking ready to lunge at the woman. He shook his head, gesturing to him to calm down, as they couldn't give away their position.
''Sam? Afton?''
They heard the woman suddenly call out and exchanged look of pure shock. However, they remained quiet, listening to the woman going down the steps on the porch and noticing the light being shined into the woods.
''Hello? Sam? Afton? Seriously, this is not funny!''
Drawkill Freddy had to note that the woman sounded quite angry. There was something in her voice, something that gave him the impression that she wasn't someone people would want to annoy.
''I could've sworn I heard someone walking past,'' the woman added, now in a more quiet and cautious tone. A moment later, the light vanished, with Drawkill Freddy looking back, realizing that the woman went back inside the house.
''Have you heard that?'' Drawkill Chica asked.
''Aye, and so did half of the neighborhood,'' Drawkill Foxy replied, with Drawkill Chica smacking him upside the head. His eyes glowed as he glared at her, growling.
''It seems that William Afton and the girl he was with, Sam, live at this house,'' Drawkill Freddy said. ''I mean, the woman did look rather familiar, so it can be assumed that she was either her mother or her older sister.''
''I don't think that it matters who that woman is, but that Afton lives here,'' Drawkill Chica replied. ''We have finally found him!''
''Shhh, keep quiet,'' Drawkill Freddy hissed. ''Do you want her to come out again?''
Drawkill Chica crossed her arms, giving him an annoyed look, but didn't reply. Frankly, she was just happy that their search was finally over.
''So, what are we going to do now?'' Drawkill Foxy asked eagerly. ''I assume that we are going to tell Connor about it. Or, should we go inside and wait for Afton and Sam to arrive? After all, that woman seemed to have been waiting for them.''
''No.''
Drawkill Foxy and Drawkill Chica stared at Drawkill Freddy with dumbfounded looks on their expressions.
''Say, what?''
''What do you mean, no?'' Drawkill Chica grew agitated. ''We've been searching for those two for days and now you're saying that we should do nothing?!''
''Calm down!'' Drawkill Freddy growled in a hushed tone, silencing Drawkill Chica by closing her beak. ''I'm not saying that we won't do anything, but honestly, I don't think that we should tell Connor about what we have found out.''
''Why?'' Drawkill Foxy asked.
''It's a bit complicated to explain, but I'm currently working on something,'' Drawkill Freddy told him. ''Nevertheless, I believe that it would be better if we keep this a secret from Connor, at least for a while.''
''So, does this mean that we are going to continue walking through the town, acting as if we don't know where they are?'' Drawkill Chica groaned when Drawkill Freddy nodded. ''I knew that this was too good to be true. There always has to be a catch.''
''Don't worry, it won't be for too long,'' Drawkill Freddy told her, only for him, Drawkill Chica and Drawkill Foxy to notice Drawkill Bonnie walking towards them, holding a red ribbon in his hand. ''Where have you been?''
''While you were busy arguing, I have found this,'' Drawkill Bonnie said as he held up the ribbon. ''There are more of those, all of them tied to the branches. It seems as if someone used them as markers.''
Drawkill Freddy took the ribbon and then glanced at the porch. He grinned, turning back to his companions.
''I believe that we should let them know that we were here, just to mess with their mind,'' he said, with the other Drawkills giving him a look of approval. ''Let's go.''
One by one, the Drawkills sneaked past the house and on the street, quickly leaving. Drawkill Freddy, however, cautiously stepped towards the porch and tied the ribbon around the guardrail. He then quickly left, hoping that the woman hadn't seen him. A few moments later, he joined the other Drawkills on the open street, with them trying keeping an eye on the other houses, making sure that none of the residents would notice them. Finally, they had managed to find an alleyway that, while not perfect, gave them enough cover.
''So, we really aren't going to tell Connor anything?'' Drawkill Bonnie asked Drawkill Freddy. ''Or have you forgotten what had happened the last time we went back empty-handed?''
''I don't think that we should worry about him,'' Drawkill Freddy told him grimly. ''Connor had already found another victim to occupy him.''

7 || Not Staying Here
Series: Trust | Maze Runner (Thomas x OFC)
Word Count: 1.4k
Warnings: none
A/N: Might be a few mistakes
| MASTERLIST |
"What the hell were you thinking?" I say when Thomas wakes up.
"What happened?" He asks, confused in the pit.
"Gally's taken control. He said we had a choice. Either join him or get banished at sundown with you." Newt explains to him.
"And the others agreed to that? He overtook you?" Thomas looks at me.
"Gally has everyone convinced that you're the reason all this has happened. They believe him more than Elizabeth at the moment." Teresa tells him.
"Plus some are scared to stand up against him. I can see it in some of their eyes." I add and Thomas tells us Gally's been right so far.
Thomas explains everything to us about the people who put us here. Some of us got out in the mazes while some of them worked with the people who put us here. Him and Teresa watched us for years and helped put us here.
"It doesn't matter. Any of it. Cause the people we were before the maze, they don't even exist anymore. These Creators took care of that. What does matter is who we are now and what we do right now. You went into the maze, and you found a way out." I tell Thomas.
"Yeah, but if I hadn't Alby would still be alive, you still would be in charge, everyone would still be here." Thomas tells me.
"Maybe. But I know that if he were here, he would be telling you the exact same thing Elizabeth told you." Newt looks at him then at me.
"Pick your ass up and finish what you started. Cause if we do nothing then that means Alby dies for nothing, and I can't have that. Thomas, I have believed in you the moment Newt told you had the chops to be a runner and when I got to talk to you alone. Don't let me down. Don't let us down." I look him in the eyes.
"Okay. Okay, but we got to get through Gally first." He agrees.
"That's easy. You act like you're still weak till it's the right moment to move when he tells his guys what to do with you. Chuck gets what we need to take. The rest of us wait around with the rest until it's that moment. Don't worry, Fry is with us but he's keeping an eye on Gally." I explain to them.
"How do we know when it's the right moment?" Teresa asks me.
"We just will. Trust me." They all nod their heads.
"You're gonna try to talk to the sacred ones, to change minds?" Thomas smiles.
"Duh. I'm gonna do what's best for us because staying here isn't it." I say getting up and we get ready for our plan.
When it was time Winston and Jeff said it doesn't feel right banishing Thomas and maybe he could lead us home but Gally says we're home.
"You really think banishing us are going to solve anything?" Teresa speaks up.
"No. But this isn't a banishing. It's an offering." He says as Teresa gets tied up.
"Gally, what are you doing?" She asks him, worried.
"You really think I'm gonna let Thomas back into the maze after what he's done? Look around you! Look at our Glade. This is the only way." As Gally rants I run my hand through my hair signaling to Newt to signal to Minho.
"Are you serious? The other three doors haven't even closed yet! If we all stay here, the Grievers are going to come back. They're gonna come back, and keep coming back until we're all dead. Offering Thomas and Teresa aren't going to do anything for us. Just admit it Gally, you're scared of what's out there. I am, we all are, but there's nothing wrong with being scared because it's normal. But I don't wanna waste anymore time here. We finally have a chance to get out of here and what? We don't wanna take the chance because we don't know what's out there? Okay, say this offering does nothing, then what Gally? What's your plan? Hide in the Box till we run out of the little supplies we have left? I'd rather take the risk of dying out there making my way to freedom then being a coward spending the rest of my life in here and dying in here." I walk up to him some.
"We don't know until it happens. Tie him up!" Gally yells but the guys don't. "Did you hear me? I said tie him up!" He yells again and as they pick Thomas up he makes his move.
I cut Teresa free as Fry joins us, Thomas, Chuck, and Newt at the front before Minho does too. "You're full of surprises, aren't you?" Gally asks Thomas.
"You don't have to come with us, but we are leaving. Anyone else who wants to come, now's your last chance." Thomas tells the group.
"Don't listen to him. He's just trying to scare you." Gally tells them.
"No, I'm not trying to scare you. You're already scared. Like Elizabeth said, all right. I'm scared and I'd rather risk my life out there then spending the rest of it in here too." Thomas tells everyone.
"We don't belong here. I know we've always said this place is our home... but this place isn't our home. We were put here. We were trapped here till Thomas found a way out." I try to get them to believe.
"At least out there we have a choice. We can make it out of here. I know that... I believe in that and Elizabeth believes in me. She believes it's what's best for all of us." Thomas says making Winston join his first then Jeff.
Slowly a few others join us too. "Gally, it's over. Just come with us." I can't help but tear up.
"Good luck against the Grievers." Was all he says to me as the group starts to leave as I stand there and look at him.
"Come on, Lizzie." Thomas takes my hand as I blink a tear out and jog off with a limp still.
"You okay? To keep up?" Thomas asks me. "I'm fine." I smile as Minho comes up to us, giving Thomas a look so he picks me up and puts me on Minho's back.
"I hate this". I groan holding onto him.
"Well you're still hurt." Minho tells me.
"I jog with a limp like Newt." I point at him with us.
"You're slower than me with your limp." I flip Newt off.
When we get to section seven Minho puts me down as we sit for the next move. Thomas explains the plan and we get ready. "Teresa, keep Elizabeth with you and Chuck." Thomas tells her before we run.
"I got you, Liz." Teresa helps me run.
We get to the door while the guys hold the Grievers off but Chuck and Teresa run after the key before it rolls off. When they get back to the door it opens and we run down to the other door that needed a number sequence.
"What's the sequence of the maze!" I yelled at Minho and Thomas, seeing there were eight numbers.
"Seven, one, five, two, six, four..." I hear everyone yell Minho and see a Griever on top of him.
"MINHO!" I try to rush but Teresa holds me back. "Continue please!" I yell when he's fine and the group is coming closer.
"Eight, three! You got it?"
I put the numbers in and it turns green. "The door opened!" I shout.
Suddenly the other door closes and it's pitch black tile the other door opens. We all get out and see a long tunnel both ways lighting. We walk all the way till we get to a door that says exit.
"Seriously?" Fry says looking at it.
Thomas goes to open the door and we see a room with people shot and glass broken. "What happened here?" Winston asks as we keep walking.
"So they were watching us. This whole time." Newt says as we look at monitors of the glade. Thomas suddenly makes a video play of a woman named Ava Paige.
In the video recording she explains that the planet has been devastated by a massive solar flare, followed by a pandemic of a deadly, incurable virus called the Flare that affects the brain of the afflicted. We learn that us Gladers appear to be immune to the virus. We learn that we were part of an experiment studying the way our brains worked as a resistance to the virus. At the end, the woman in the video shoots herself as the lab is being attacked by men with military-style weapons but dressed more like mercenaries.

Sidera's Day
Elizabeth set an alarm clock the night before. The small birthday party was set at 10 in the morning the next day (Sunday), and she woke up at six!
Before she heads out to their kitchen, she peeked at Sidera's bedroom. Her little niece was still sleeping. She smiled.
While eating her breakfast, Elizabeth was thinking of what to serve for her little guests. Her thoughts further strayed to Caleb's plan. She shooked her head, finishing her breakfast.
After cleaning her dish, she scanned their cupboards, seeing if they still have enough pantry goods for the month.
Elizabeth stared at the notes on their bulletin board. She cleared the, and placed a new one. "Buy pasta", it said. Crossing her arms, she hung her head low.
It's Sidera's birthday, which means, the girl would turn into a teen, which means she needs to tell her niece everything. Time is ticking, and she's sure Percival's patience is wearing thin. Sooner or later, they'll be discovered by the vampire. He'll get them. The Swansons will be no more.
As she was setting the table, she thought again.
She'll take Sidera to Gilbert Gardens after her party. She'll tell everything — every single thing, today. Sidera will finally learn the truth. Which means her decision becoming a vampire to defend her niece, and avenge her family will be final.
Before this day ends, Sidera will know.
Sidera excitedly drew a picture to contain her excitement while waiting for the clock to turn to 10 am. She almost annoyed her aunt when she kept tailing her while Elizabeth was in the kitchen.
"Oh, you," Elizabeth clicked her tongue. "Why don't you get yourself busy, hm? You won't notice time went by already. Come on."
"Okay!!!"
"M'so excited!" Sid exclaimed, hands on her hips, her drawing pinned on their bulletin board.
Elizabeth glanced at her, shaking her head. "Be patient, they'll come anytime soon." She placed Sidera's cake at the middle of their table.
"Is that pizza you're making?!" Sid tiptoed to her, trying to peek at what Elizabeth was doing.
"Buffalo chicken pizza," Elizabeth replied, nodding.
Just then, they heard a knock. Sid quickly dashed to the door, then stopped.
"Oops! M'not supposed to answer it!" Sid squeezed her cheeks. "Awwwhh!!!"
Elizabeth laughed, "Go on, Sid. Maybe that's Louie and his brother."
Sid silently pumped her fist, then opened the door. It was Louie and Mason Davis!
"Happy birthday!"
"Thanks you guys!" Sid gave them a hug, which the boys reciprocated.
"Happy birthday, Sid," Mason said again.
"Gosh, Mason, you're big now!" Sid said. "I remember Louie was still carrying you with a stinky diaper!"
"Sidera!" Elizabeth shot her a look.
"Sorry."
Mason laughed. "It's fine Miss Swanson! I made Lou stinky anyway!"
"Eeeww!!" Sid grimaced.
"Don't remind me Mace," Louie groaned.
"Your cake looks so yummy!!!!!" Mason exclaimed. "I drank Diatabs for this!"
"Oh god, are you lactose intolerant?" Elizabeth was horrified, hands ready to take away the cake. "You can eat the pizza, the cheese and dough I used is vegan."
"Thank you, but don't worry I can stomach this! It's worth it!" Mason said, hands signalling her to calm down.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!"
"Really?"
"Please, Miss Swanson," Mason pleaded.
"Alright, but one slice only," Elizabeth firmly said. "Okay, before we take a slice, let's hear Sid make her wish."
"Go go go!" Louie urged her.
Sid closed her eyes, silently wishing. When she was done, she quickly stood up and situated herself between Louie and Mason.
"Ready?" Elizabeth said, taking out her phone to snap a picture.
"Happy birthday, Sidera!!!"
Sidera blew her cake, and Louie shouted for joy as he watched her! Elizabeth quickly gathered the boys to her side, gently squeezing their shoulders.
They sang to her, Sidera smiling brightly, faced flushed, a little embarassed for the attention.
"Thanks for coming to the party, Lou," Sid said, coming out of her room for an outfit change.
"No problem!" Louie nodded. "You look awesome! Can't wait for me being a teen!"
"I'll wait for you!"
"Oh yeah, since you're a teen now, are you going to Copperdale?" Mason asked, finishing his cake.
"Yep, that's the plan," Sidera nodded. "Are you going to Copperdale too, Louie?"
Louie nodded, "I will! I'll see you there!"
"Can't believe Sid's a teen now!" Mason said, earning a chuckle from Elizabeth.
"Mason, you sound like an adult," Elizabeth laughed.
"Do I?" Mason raised a brow. He faced his brother. "Do I?"
His brother did not answer. Louie was busy staring — gazing at Sid.
Elizabeth shook her head, laughing. "I can see your ears go red, Lou. Are you crushing on her?"
"Sid, you are so pretty," Louie sighed.
Sid laughed. "Why, thank you, Louie."
Elizabeth and Sid bid Louie and Mason good bye, waving at them as they stepped out of their gate.
The former already had a camera set-up. "Ready for another family picture?"
"I am!" Sid said, posing for the camera.
Click!
"Happy birthday, my darling," Elizabeth squeezed her into a tight embrace. "You're all grown now. I'm so proud of you."
Sid let out a laugh. "Thank you, Auntie. Thanks for being there with me. Dad would be so happy."
"I know," Elizabeth caressed her niece's cheek, tucking a stray hair behind Sid's ear.
Sid smiled.
Elizabeth returned the smile. She's ready.
"Sid," she started. "After we clean up, shall we take a walk to Gilbert Gardens?"
"The gardens?"
Her aunt nodded.
"Sure!"
Elizabeth smiled. "Let's tidy up, then."
She's ready.
