If you're a minimalist and you pride yourself on that, that's great! But if you know someone who is NOT a minimalist you are actually free to shut the fuck up about it. Just so you know.
#the amount of people who feel the need to comment on my stuff is bananas đ#it's none of your business 'how difficult it'll be' when i go to move out#I've lived in this tiny one-room apartment for almost 4 years#like it's great if you have nothing but a futon and one set of cutlery. cool.#but i didn't wanna live like that for 4 years#and i shouldn't have to justify that to everyone who walks in here jesus christ SHUT UP!!#it is so so easy to just not say anything??#why does every fucking minimalist think they're somehow superior.#also? not that i need to justify it but. i live in a staff dorm#the reason it looks like i have a lot of stuff is because there is no kitchen#i have one (1) room and it includes a bed. a desk. a coffee table. a refrigerator. a TV. and a pantry cupboard#if i had a reasonably sized apartment with a real kitchen my stuff would fit perfectly#but i love cooking. what was i supposed to do? not cook for 4 years while living here?#and i collect cookware. nowhere to store it so my heart shaped cocotte is a decoration on my coffee table#it's not like i live in a trash heap đ

in the woods
three photos. three crime scenes. three notes. slowly, then all at once, it hits you. you know these words. youâve read these words before. why do you know these words? where have you read them before? this work is part of the little red cap series
pairing:Â spencer reid x fem!reader (second person, no y/n)
genre:Â fluff?
content: very brief mentions of a crime scene and blood. lit student reader helps spencer put together a clue he missed.
word count:Â 2.6k
note: this idea was truly so random but if you like it and are interested to see a p2 that includes her meeting the team feel free to lmk! i would love to develop this story but im having mad writers block rn lol anyways the linked poem is amazing, one of my favourites.
a line: Spencer Reid hardly swears, if ever, but the next words out of his mouth are nothing short of explicit.
But then I was young â and it took ten years In the woods to tell that a mushroom Stoppers the mouth of a buried corpse, that birds Are the uttered thought of trees, that a greying wolf Howls the same old song at the moon, year in, year out- carol ann duffy
Spencerâs distracted tonight. You noticed it the moment he breezed past you, pressing a distracted kiss to your cheek before disappearing into the study. Normally, youâd give him space, let him untangle the thoughts on his own, but itâs past midnight now, and youâve decided enough is enough.
âSpence,â you call softly from the doorway.Â
He doesnât look up.
ââYou take a breath and step inside, the floorboards cool under your bare feet. The study feels foreign to you. Youâre hardly ever in here despite Spencerâs gentle efforts to make space for you after youâd started spending more time at his place. Heâd cleared half of the mahogany desk for your own books and filesâa space now claimed by a few framed photos of the two of you from last yearâs Christmas market.
Youâve always preferred his bed over the confines of this room, the comfort of his sheets beneath you, his bedside table the perfect coaster for your copious cups of coffee as you slog over your essays. The study always felt too still, almost stifling. Itâs the kind of quiet that breeds overthinking, though Spencer thrives in itâEspecially when itâs work.
Which it does seem to be tonight, judging by the furrow of his brow and the way his hands are clasped, tense, as he pours over the file in front of him. You cross the remaining space and place a gentle hand on his shoulder, thumb moving in soothing circles.Â
âHey,â you murmur, leaning down to speak into the curve of his neck. He reaches up absently, fingers threading into your hair, but his eyes stay fixed on the contents on the desk.Â
âCome to bed,â you whisper, quieter this time, softer, as though you might coax him away if youâre gentle enough.Â
He murmurs something you donât quite catch, his focus still locked on the papers. You frown, the corners of your mouth tugging downward as you try again, this time layering your voice with the soft insistence you know he canât resist.
âPlease?â
That gets him. He sighs, the sound heavy, before slowly swivelling his chair around to face you. Thereâs a small flicker of satisfaction in your chestâstill got it, you think, though his tired eyes make it hard to fully savour the victory.
âSoon, honey,â he says, soft and apologetic, but itâs not enough for you.
âMissed you today,â you murmur, stepping closer.
He shuts his eyes for a moment, reaching out to pull you into him. His arms wrap around your waist as he presses his face into your stomach, breathing you in like youâre the first fresh air heâs had all day. And with the day heâs had, you might as well be.Â
âItâs almost 1,â you remind him gently, brushing a strand of his hair back. âAnd you havenât even showered.â
He makes a soundâsomewhere between a groan and a half-hearted protest. Probably indignation, though he doesnât bother to articulate it. When he finally lifts his head to look at you, your chest tightens. He looks so so tired. Handsome, always, but tonight, the weariness in his eyes is impossible to miss.
âAw, honey,â you coo, voice soft with affection. âCâmere.â
Itâs ironic, considering youâre the one climbing into his lap. The chair protests under your combined weight with a faint creak, but neither of you care. Just your presence alone is a comfort that Spencer accepts all too willingly. He doesnât hesitate, pulling you closer and burying his face into you, fingers toying with the edges of yourâhis shirt.
âTough case?â you ask quietly, your fingers slipping into his hair, scratching lightly at his scalp.
He nods defeatedly, the motion slow and heavy, like even that small acknowledgment takes too much out of him.
âHeâs alreadyââ Spencer sighs, low and weary. âAlready killed three women. And the profile is⌠flimsy at best.â
You nod quietly, your fingers gently tracing patterns on his shoulder. Though crime-solving and criminal profiling arenât your expertise, the weight of what he carries is never lost on you. Youâve come to know the signs all too well.
You see it in the way he comes home after cases like thisâsilent, drained, his body curling into yours. You hear it in his voice when his worry spills over during arguments, like the time he snapped at you for drinking too much on a night out after a brutal final. It wasnât out of anger but fear, raw, born from the evils he sees every day. Heâd never explicitly linked it to the horrors of his work, but you didnât need to be a profiler to piece it together.Â
âYouâll catch him,â you say softly, keeping your voice steady despite the knot tightening in your stomach. âYou guys always do.â
Spencer sighs, releasing one hand from your waist to rub the bridge of his nose. âThereâs something off,â he mutters, words tinged with frustration. âI just... I canât figure out what it is.â
âDo you⌠want to talk about it?â you offer gently, watching his face for any sign of what he needs.
He manages a faint, tired smile and shakes his head. âIâd rather not,â he murmurs.
You nod, letting it go. Spencer tries, always, to keep that part of his life separate from you. But even you know some things are impossible to leave behind. Shadows donât adhere to boundaries. Theyâre stubborn and heavy, sometimes seeping into the cracks of his resolve. All you can do is try your best to hold him together when that weight gets too much to bear. Leaning into him, you rest your head against his, the silence between you filled with a kind of unspoken understanding.
âThank you, sweetheart,â Spencer whispers after a moment, as though he can sense your quiet disappointment at not being able to do more. His arm tightens around your waist as though anchoring himself. You press a soft kiss to his temple, a quiet gesture of acknowledgement.
âNow,â you say, standing up. Spencer leans forward instinctively, unwilling to let the warmth of you go. âShower?â
He glances between you and the desk strewn with papers, hesitation in his face. âAfter Iââ
âNope,â you interrupt, grabbing both his hands and gently pulling him to his feet. âIâll handle this,â you say, gesturing to the chaos on the desk. âYou,â you point toward him, then toward the bathroom, âShower. Now.â
Spencer lets out a long-suffering sigh, but the smile tugging at his lips betrays him. âBossy,â he teases softly.
âMaybe,â you reply, a playful glint in your eyes. âBut you love me.â
Without missing a beat, Spencer wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you closer as he presses a kiss to your lips. âWow,â he murmurs against your mouth, his tone warm and teasing. âBossy and smart. How did I get so lucky?â
You roll your eyes but canât help smiling, nudging him lightly toward the bathroom. âGo,â you say, laughing. âBefore I add âviolentâ to that list.â At that, Spencer tears his arms away from your waist, holding his hands up in mock surrender as he backs slowly toward the door. âGo!â you laugh again, shaking your head at him before turning your attention to the desk strewn with papers.
You turn your attention back to the desk surveying the organized chaos, trying to piece together how he usually files them. The thin sheetsâpale and slightly crumpledâbelong in the manila folder. The thicker briefs, stapled neatly, go in the black case. And the photosâŚ
Huh.Â
Your hand pauses mid-reach, brow furrowing as your eyes fall on the glossy prints. You tilt your head. Something about them feelsâalmost⌠familiar, maybe. You stop to lay them out side by side, studying them more closely.Â
Three photos. Three crime scenes. Three notes.Â
The first note reads, âI burn.â The words are scrawled haphazardly, the letters jagged and uneven.
The second is darker, more ominous, âYour knife.â Its edges marked by splatters of blood.
The third is the most unsettling of all. Just two words. âAll alone.â Stark and final.Â
Slowly, then all at once, it hits you.Â
You know these words. Youâve read these words before.Â
Why do you know these words? Where have you read them before?
It gnaws at you. The exhaustion you felt earlier is long gone as you find yourself sinking into Spencerâs chair. Your fingers trace the edges of the prints as you try to piece together your fragments of memory. You donât know how much time has passed since you first laid eyes on the photos until Spencer calls to you from the bedroom.
âIn here,â you answer absently.
When he steps into the doorway, your heart flutters despite yourself. Heâs a sight to beholdâhair damp, shirt slightly clinging to his chest, a towel draped over his shoulders as he dries his hair.
âHey,â he says, a soft smile tugging at his lips. âWhyâre you still in here?â
âGot distracted,â you murmur, gesturing to the desk.
âIntriguing, huh?â
âShe definitely is,â you reply, almost without thinking.
âI donât know when heâll strike nextââ he starts, then stops abruptly. His expression shifts, his gaze sharpening as he looks at you.Â
âWhatâd you just say?â
âHm?â You blink, finally meeting his eyes.
âYou said âsheâsâ intriguing,â he repeats, stepping closer now. âYou think the unsubâs a she?â
âIsnât she?â you say, frowning at the question. âI could definitely use a lot of other words to describe her, butâŚâ your voice uncertain.
âWhat makes you say that?â
âWell, the poems, for oneâI mean, theyâre all about hurt and enraged women,â you explain. âAnd signing off with them? Thatâs definitely not not intriguingâŚâ You trail off, puzzled by the sudden gravity of the conversation.Â
Spencer goes rigid, every muscle in his body locking up. âPoems?âÂ
âYeah,â you say, your voice small now, âThe notes. Theyâre all closing words of Duffyâs poems. I thought youâDid you notâŚâÂ
Your words trail off as you see his face harden, eyes widening as the weight of your words hits him.Â
âOh my god.â Your hands fly to your mouth as the realization hits you, the pieces suddenly falling into place. âYou didnât know.â
Spencer Reid hardly swears, if ever, but the next words out of his mouth are nothing short of explicit. Heâs already moving towards the desk, the towel falling unnoticed to the floor. âShow me,â he says, urgency in his voice. You get up quickly, wanting to make room, but he stops you. âNo, you sit,â he says, eyes locked on the notes. âShow me.â
âOkay, okay.â You steady yourself before pointing to the first note. âUm, look, this one, âI burn.â Itâs from her poem Warming Her Pearls. Sheâs a maid who secretly pines for her mistress. She loves her but, well, she canât be with her cause theyâre from different societies.â You look up at him expectantly. âItâs about class inequality andâŚâ
âUnrequited love.â Spencer finishes gravely, his voice low but certain.
âRight, exactly.â You glance up at him, searching his face for understanding. Spencer nods, taking it in, and you move on to the next.Â
âAnd then this one, âYour knife.â Itâs from Valentine. The speaker, she doesnât want the usual valentine gifts, so she gives an onion instead. But⌠she says itâll make the receiver cry, because well, onions do that. Itâs a basically a metaphor for love, howââ You take a deep breath, your throat tightening. âHow dangerous it can become.â
Spencer stays quiet, but his eyes are fixed on you. His hand finds your back, giving a reassuring, gentle rub.
You hesitate before pointing to the last note. âAnd this one, âAll alone.ââ You swivel the chair around to face him fully, the tension in your chest growing. âI wasnât sure about the first two, but when I saw this, I knew.â
âLittle Red Cap,â Spencer finishes for you, his voice tinged with self-reproach. âYour favourite. God, why didnât I see this?â
You nod, your voice softening. âYeah. The opening poem of The Worldâs Wife. She uses Red Riding Hood to explore growing up, losing innocence and⌠well, you know the rest.â
Spencerâs lips press into a thin line as he nods grimly. âThe wolf represents someone older, predatory. A lover.â
âYeah, and she uh,â you say, barely a whisper. âShe kills him.â
Spencerâs jaw tightens, his frustration evident. âHow did I notâHowâd youââ If the situation werenât so dire, you might have joked about never expecting to hear those words from Spencer Reid. Instead, you force a shrug, casual, as if your analysis hadnât just reshaped everything. âTA-ed a few classes on Duffy,â you say grimly.
The silence stretches, heavy and charged, until Spencer crouches down in front of you. His sharp eyes soften as they meet yours. âYouâre⌠youâre incredible, you know that?â His tone is low, reverent. He presses a brief, warm kiss to your forehead before standing, running a hand through his still-damp hair. Then his expression shifts, eyes darkening with urgency. âI need to make a call.âÂ
You nod silently, still curled up in his chair. You donât trust your legs to carry you to the bed thatâs one room over, not right now. Spencer steps away, his phone already pressed to his ear. It takes only a few moments before he starts speaking.
âHotch,â he begins, âI think the unsub is a woman.â
The reply on the other end is muffled, but you can follow the conversation through Spencerâs responses.
âPoems, yeahâCarol Ann Duffy,â he says, pacing a few steps. âWeâve been looking for patterns in the wrong places.â
He pauses, listening, before adding, âHowâd Iâ? Just⌠from a friend.â
His tone is careful, protective. You know Spencer doesnât want his team knowing about you. When Spencer told you he wanted to keep his professional and personal lives separate, you didnât understand at first. But after heâd opened up about what happened to his bossâhow it shattered everyoneâyou stopped pushing. You understood then why he was so insistent on drawing those boundaries, even if it meant staying in the shadows of his world.Â
You watch him, eyes tracing the way his jaw clenches, the restless motion of his fingers. âThis is the lead we need. WhatâNo, we donât need to bring them in.â ââYou can see the moment his patience snaps.
âWhat we need is to focus on her workâher themes, her voice. Itâll give us insight into the unsubâs mindset. No, Iââ Spencerâs tone sharpens, frustration creeping in as he rakes a hand through his hair, tugging at the ends.Â
âI know this is important, Iâm not saying it isnâtââ He stops mid-sentence, the voice on the other end cutting him off. His lips press into a thin line, and he exhales through his nose, fingers pinching the bridge. âFine,â he mutters, his tone tense but resigned.Â
âOkay.â He pauses for a beat, âWeâllâsheâll be there.â
As he hangs up, Spencer turns back to you, his expression carefully guarded. âWhat are you doing tomorrow?â he asks, tentative.
You have two lectures. âNothing,â you say, the word slipping out easily. He frowns, uncertain.Â
âKristoffâs out sick, and Burton doesnât care about attendance anyway,â you quickly lie. The tension in his face eases just slightly, but you can still see the hesitation in his eyes.
âRight, um, my boss,â You can sense a hint of nervous energy in the way he shifts his weight. âHe wants us in at 8, sharp. Iâll drive.â
The apology is clear in his expression as he crouches down, taking your hands in his. âI know this isnât exactly what you signed up for,â he says, his voice quieter now. âBut... I know he wouldnât ask if it werenât important.âÂ
A simple, quiet âI knowâ is all you can manage.
You can tell he feels bad about dragging you into this. You definitely hadnât imagined this would be your introduction to his world eitherâmessy, intense, and impossibly heavy. And from this brief glimpse, youâre not sure if youâre ready for it after all.

A Second Chance
Pairing: Leon Kennedy x Prime Minister's Daughter! Reader (ft. Ada Wong)
Genre: Smut, Romance, Angst
Warning: cheating, Leon is obsessed with the reader, taking photos, the reader is cold but deep inside sheâs a sweetheart, mentions of arranged marriage, pure smut (masturbation, foreplay, kissing, breasts fondling and sucking, markings, p in v intercourse, virgin sex, penetrative sex, Leon is huge [I think it's at least 9 inches, sheesh], creampie, aftercare)
Word Count: 4.8k+
Summary: As the eldest daughter of the Prime Minister and one of the faces of the family, you received multiple assassination attempts. So, your father hired someone to keep an eye on you. And to your surprise, out of all people, it was Leon Kennedy your father picked for you. You and Leon had a secret relationship but soon did not last because another woman came into his life. Now that the both of you meet again, will it be the start of chaos or a continuation of romance?
author's note: This is the third part of my story. It was supposed to be posted yesterday but then our internet went oops. This story is entirely fictional. I do not know exactly what the President and the Prime Minister do for the country. It is the same with the occupation of being a prosecutor and the chief of the CIA. English is not my mother tongue, so please don't hesitate to let me know if you encounter mistakes and grammatical errors. This is only for entertainment purposes only. And minors, please do your homework first.
Part 1 Part 2
â
âI need to talk to you,â You started in a stern tone.Â
Okay, change of plans, you thought. Leon nodded and stood aside and let you in. You went inside, looking around his apartment unit. His place was dimmed, reflecting his personality. You heard him close the door and approached you.Â
âHow did you know that I am living across from your place?â He asked and you scoffed.Â
âIsnât this place included in your address in your personal data? I checked it.â You replied looking around his place.
He does not have too much stuff. A TV, couch, coffee table, and a carpet in the living room. His kitchen has a stove, oven, a sink, and a dish organizer. And his room which you are expecting to be neat and tidy with a closet, a comfortable bed, a desk with whatever he has.Â
âI wonât stay too long. I just want to tell you some things.âÂ
âWell, you donât need to go here. You can just call me.â
âBut I want to see you personally,â With your answer, Leon smirked and crossed his arms to his chest, looking at you with his brow raised. You cleared your throat and continued. âI mean, you are my bodyguard so I believe thereâs nothing wrong if the boss personally visited her employee.âÂ
âSince when did you start explaining yourself?â Leon smirked, making you speechless.Â
You donât like explaining yourself when you have made a decision and this time is beyond unexpected. âAre you questioning my decision to explain myself? Your face brightened up when I said I want to meet you personally but the reason why I am here is to tell you something.âÂ
âAnd what is it, sweetie?â He added.Â
âStop with the nicknames, Leon. I am not playing around with you. I just want to warn you that David is getting suspicious of us. Your gestures are crossing the line of the relationship of the boss and her bodyguard. If David noticed it, what more when the people do?â
âOh, come on. Donât you think because your former bodyguards don't show how bodyguards must act protective like I do around you? No wonder bullets managed to be fired without the guard realizing that someone has threatened your life.âÂ
âLeon, I know that you are trying to get closer to me again. Your blazer jacket wonât protect me from bullets.â You rebutted.Â
âHah! Thatâs what you thought! That blazer jacket is bulletproof. The President gave it to me personally. Donât you appreciate the Presidentâs effort to protect you?â
âI do appreciate him!â You snapped. âAnd why are you talking back to me? I am your boss! You have no right toâ hmph!â Leon interrupted you by cupping your cheeks and pressed his lips against yours, kissing you lovingly.Â
You were surprised by the sudden action and tried to push him away but Leon didnât let you. Instead, he wrapped his arms around your shoulders and waist, bringing you closer to him. He truly missed you, he missed kissing you, he missed embracing you into his arms. Slowly, you give in to him. You did not kiss him back but you did not pull away or attempt to push him away. You just let him be.Â
The kiss lasted until both of you needed to pull away to breathe. Leon was smiling at your flushed expression and kissed your cheek. âDonât scold me anymore. I understand that you are just protecting your image. But please also understand why am I being affectionate of you aside from protecting you from harm luring around.âÂ
âThatâs because I am marrying David,â You added. âI donât want to look like I am being unfaithful to my fiance.âÂ
âYouâre just using him as your excuse. Too bad that trick of yours did not work on me.â
Heâs right. Including David in this conversation is just your way of hiding the reason why you go there. You wanted to confront him already. You have a lot of questions in your mind that are still unanswered. You badly want them to be solved right away. Seeing Leon after fifteen years is unbearable for you. And he knows it.Â
Leon felt that you were tearing up, unable to express the feeling you wanted to express. You felt weak, feeling the lump forming in your throat that prevents you from speaking. He hugged you, resting your head against his chest, feeling his heartbeat. You stayed like that, feeling each otherâs warmth.Â
âI hate you⌠so much.â You whispered.
âAnd I love you more, darling.â He replied, gently tilting your head up and pressing his lips against yours, kissing you deeply.
â
The next day, you went to the White House after receiving a call from the President that thereâs something that needs to be discussed regarding the conflict between the US and Russia. The meeting took three hours. You gave suggestions and the President appointed specific government agencies to settle things first with Russia before deciding if there will be a war if Russia did not agree on the agreement that was prepared by the US. Being the Presidentâs secret weapon is a big responsibility. He trusts your plans and suggestions along with other government agencies. You are one of the representatives of the US in the UN. Other world leaders acknowledged your presence. And thatâs the proof that you are one of the most powerful women in the world.
You are now currently in the waiting room, alone while reading a book. The President told you to wait for your father to come as he needs to attend another meeting with the councils. While waiting, you heard the door open. You turned your head and saw David, grinning from ear to ear.
âSo, how is the show? Shall I give you an award as the Outstanding Seductress of All Time?â He teased you as he closed the door behind him and walked towards you.Â
You rolled your eyes on him, âI did your advice. Whereâs my $100,000?â You asked directly to the point. David gasped at you. âYou seriously went naked and danced while your stalker was watching?!âÂ
âFor the sake of $100,000, I did.âÂ
âWhat?! Seriously?!â David couldnât believe that you actually did that and be unbothered at the ridiculous action you made.Â
You did not regret it. Knowing that your stalker was always keeping an eye on you whether it was private or out in public. You flipped the page of the book and smirked. âIf I were you, I wouldnât include money if youâre making a dangerous bet with a woman like me. So, yeah. $100,000 must be added to my bank account right now.âÂ
âFine,â David grinned and pulled out his phone and opened his bank app and sent you the money.Â
Your phone dinged, saying that you received the money already. You opened your phone and to your surprise, David only sent you $1. You shoot him a death glare and close the book. David loves annoying you and he knew that he fucked up.Â
You pounced on him, sitting on his lap and took his phone out of his grasp. Thankfully, his phone isnât locked yet so you tapped some icons to send money. David moved, trying to grab his phone back but you shoved him off and stood up to proceed in sending the money to your account.Â
âYah! Give me my phone!â David whined. You ignored him and sent the $99,999 left to complete the $100,000 bet.
After successfully sending the money, you press the home screen and to your surprise, you are Davidâs wallpaper. You smirked and looked at him, showing his wallpaper. âWhat is this?â You teased me.Â
âGive it back to me!â David hissed, attempting to take his phone back but you ran around the room while he was trying to get his phone back. You keep running until David pounces on you, causing you to fall to the floor.Â
Both of you are wrestling each other with loud noises coming from your mouths. Leon, who came back to the White House after dealing with some stuff, went to the waiting room where you are in. He got inside of the room without knocking and then⌠his heart dropped to his stomach. He saw David being on top of you. You felt his presence so you decided to give the phone back to David and pushed him off you.Â
âO-oh⌠Agent Kennedy!â David greeted him, still trying to reach for his phone, meaning that he was moving his body against yours that was inappropriate for Leon.Â
In the end, David grabbed his phone from your grasp and got off you. You scoffed and stood up, fixing your skirt. Leon was stunned, seeing you in a submissive position under David. He cleared his throat and spokeâŚ
âMiss L/n, your father has arrived.â Thereâs a jealousy in his voice. He couldnât even look you in the eye.Â
âAlright, Iâm coming.â You went to the couch and grabbed your purse before leaving the door with Leon, tailing behind you.Â
â
As usual, you did not have a good conversation with your dad. He was still persuading you to marry David to keep the familyâs legacy and to be powerful in the future. He was planning to run for the position of the President after the current Presidentâs term ends. Having you beside him is a big advantage. With your influence, he trusts your plans to make him successfully reach the top.Â
You would help your father, yes. But he is crossing the boundary already. He had been pressuring you ever since. Even after you survived the apocalypse, your father did not even ask you how you are. Instead, he scolded you for going there and accused you of seeing someone in that city. Well, yes. Leonâs the reason why you go there. You went to Raccoon City to congratulate him personally on his first day as a police officer. But then, shit happens.Â
There are times where youâd glare at him behind his back. He looks like heâs a good family man in public, smiling at children and wife. But behind closed doors, he was a demanding father. Heâs expecting his children to bring him fortune and help him climb the political ladder. Thatâs why his children studied Law. But among his children, you are the most unfavored one.Â
Your father argued about your arranged marriage with David. You received a lot of hurtful words. You were used to it but this time⌠you couldnât take it anymore.
âYou are nothing but a disgrace in this family! After all the things Iâve done for youââ He said but you interrupted him. âYouâve done nothing but to bring me pain, Papa!â You snapped at him.Â
Your father was shocked to hear you talking back to him.Â
âIâve done everything for you, Papa! I did everything you told me to do! But itâs too muchâŚâ You lowered your voice as tears started falling down your eyes.Â
âWhy are you crying? I am not even giving you a reason to cry!â He yelled at you.Â
âYou did a lot of times, Papa! There are a lot of reasons for me to cry but thereâs only one cause and thatâs you! No one has given me this kind of pain but my own father! You never comforted me after I survived the zombie apocalypse in Raccoon City! You wanted me to be like this and to be like that and I did because I am your obedient daughter! And you always turn your back on me when I need you the mostâŚâ You sobbed.Â
âFor you, I am not your daughter, but your retirement plan.âÂ
After that, you left your father in pain. You asked Leon to bring you home. You told the executive secretary to tell the President that thereâs an urgent meeting in the law firm as well as you need to do something in the CIA. Leon knew that something wasn't right despite his jealousy. Your eyes were telling him that you needed someone to lean on. And in your case, no one knows what kind of comfort you need. Not Ashley, not David, the President, or even your own family.Â
During your ride, you fell asleep without noticing because of exhaustion. Leon saw you sleeping in peace so he decided to go to McDonald's drive thru to buy some food for you to eat when you wake up. Back then, when you are still together, eating relieves your stress. Thatâs why youâd ask him to buy you food when he comes home from the Police Academy. He remembers every detail of what to do when you are in this kind of situation. He also bought you sodas, juices, and chocolates because you have a sweet tooth.Â
While he was out, buying you chips from the convenience store, you stirred awake. You were quite confused why the hell are you in the parking lot of a convenience store. You peeked out and found Leon inside with bags of your favorite chips in his arms, walking to the counter. You smiled a little, realizing that he remembers what to do when you felt uneasy. When he was coming back, you returned to your sleeping position and closed your eyes, pretending to sleep.Â
You heard the door open and Leon get inside, looking at your sleeping figure. He smiled and held your hand for a second before putting the plastics of chips and drinks in the passenger seat beside his seat. He closed the door and drove away to the place where you can be free and ease the heavy feeling you have.Â
The ride was so long that you fell asleep again. When you woke up, it was already sunset. Leon wasnât in the driverâs seat which confused you. You peeked out of the window and found that you are on top of a mountain where you can see the beautiful city lights that started to spew. You got out and looked around your surroundings. Leon was there, standing staring into the peaceful city.Â
âLeon, where are we?â You asked, approaching him. âYouâre going to kill me?â You asked.Â
âOf course not. If I do, then it would also be the death of me.â He chuckled.Â
You turned to your side and looked into the city from afar. It was so peaceful here. Only the sounds of wind blowing making your hair dance in the air calms you, slowly losing the heavy feeling you have due to your argument with your father. Even without saying it, Leon felt it. He smiled that he somehow helped you ease your mind from the stressful work you have in the city.Â
After a long silence, you decided to confront him already regarding your complicated relationship with him. This is the perfect time for your questions to be answeredâŚ
âWhy did you come back?â You asked.Â
Leon looked at you and found you looking to afar, waiting for his response.Â
âIf I tell you the reason, will you believe me?âÂ
âThat depends on your answer whether it was acceptable for me or not.â You replied.Â
âY/n, are you still angry at me?â He asked.
âYes. I answered your question, now answer mine.âÂ
âIâll answer it at the right time.âÂ
âIsnât this the right time for me to know?â
âYes. I will tell you but not now.â Â
âOkay, another question. Were you stalking me?â You asked, catching Leon off guard.Â
âWhat?â He asked, surprised. You looked at him and scoffed.Â
âDonât ask me that or even give me that look as if I was wrong. You even put cameras around my place to keep an eye on me. Shall I compliment you for being a protective bodyguard, Agent Kennedy?â You asked sarcastically.Â
âI knew that you had intentions why you accepted the offer to become my bodyguard. But I want you to know that I never needed anyone to save me in the first place. Iâve survived five assassination attempts and none of them was successful. Most especially, I never wanted to see you again.â You said, without hesitation.Â
âNow you know the truth, you can shut up already. Just go and eat the food I bought for you.â Leon responded, trying to change the topic again. He knew that this would end up into something worse so he wants to stop it before it occurs.Â
âSee? Even now⌠youâre avoiding my point again. Youâre pushing me away. But what can I expect from you? Youâre nothing but a traitor. Youâre selfish!â Feeling yourself out of control, those words slipped out of your mouth and tears clouded your eyes.
âEnough, Y/nâŚâ He warned you but you keep pushing his buttons.Â
âIsnât it true?! Youâre selfish! Youâre a liar! A cheater!â You called him such names that made him lose his patience so he yelled.Â
âI said enough!â He shot you a glare. It silenced you.Â
âYou have no idea how much I regret leaving you that night, Y/n! I am having nightmares not because of that zombie outbreak or even Ada but you! Because I still care about you! Morning, noon, and night, I care about you!âÂ
You retorted, âAfter fifteen fucking years, Leon! After betraying me for a manipulative woman, you got the nerve to say that you cared about me!â Tears started to spill out of your eyes. âYou know that you can decline the Presidentâs offer to recommend you to the Prime Minister to become my bodyguard but why did you come back? Why did you think of coming back? Why did you accept the offer?â
âI want to protect you, Y/n. I badly want to protect you. Iâve been working secretly to capture those bastards who tried to assassinate you, ordered by the President. And yes, you are right! I couldâve declined the offer already but I didnât because I care about you!âÂ
âI wish you knows how badly you fucked me up that night. You know I donât deserve that. My only mistake was that I made you my priority when I was just your second choice.â You sobbed. âEverytime I look at you, I keep wondering how you felt when you left. I wonder if you had any regrets when you escaped without me. You know to yourself that I loved you more than anything. I wanted to keep you safe. That's why I didnât hesitate to point my gun to Ada when I found out her secret. But you doubted me, Leon. You doubted my love and devotion to you.âÂ
Leon listened to your cries that you have been keeping for months. Among the two of you, you are the most affected one. That's why you got into this point. It was all because of him thatâs why you became this way.Â
âI gave you my four years. Even though I was just a teenager, I do know that I love you with all of my heart. I loved you for four years, Leon. And in those four years, itâs just that one time I got tired. Tired of seeing you being with Ada. I was tired of pretending that your flirtings are fine with me to not be called paranoid and delusional. Itâs just that one time I asked myself if I still can fight. Itâs just that one time, in the many times I could have given up, but I didnât. One time I had the courage to tell you how I felt. That I was hurt and even losing myself. I needed you to fight for us that night. Because I was so tired of fighting alone. To fight, that even if I tell you to leave, you wouldnât leave. That even if I pushed you away, youâd go back to me and embrace me in your arms. Because you know me. I just said that because I was tired but I love you, Leon! I still love you!âÂ
âIâve been longing to come back and apologize to you,â Leon replied. âEven now that I am working under the Presidentâs order to keep an eye on you, I still donât have the courage to tell you how sorry I am. Before the government wiped out Raccoon City, I planned to come back and look for you with hopes that I will see you again. But I was too late to find out that the government had finalized the plan. They already dropped a deadly bomb before I knew it.â
âThatâs why when Ashley mentioned you to me when I was saving her in Spain, I felt encouraged and relieved to hear that you survived. I waited a lot of years to find the perfect time to face you. And this job as your bodyguard is my only way. I still love you, Y/n. I truly do.âÂ
âBut that one time I told you how I felt, you chose to leave. Is that how you love, Leon? How could you not find a reason to stay?âÂ
Leon was stunned at your statement. It was supposed to be a calming afternoon for both of them and watch the sunset beyond the horizon as well as look into the city lights of the beautiful city. But it turned out it wasnât. Leon did really hurt you and he blames himself for that.Â
âMy engagement with David will be announced in public in the next two weeks. After that announcement, I want you gone. Itâs either you will resign yourself or I will fire you.
Leon scoffed at your statement. âYouâre firing me because you donât want me to work under you anymore or you're firing me because you know you couldnât bear to be with another man without me occupying your mind?â He had caught you in the act.Â
âAdmit it or not, I know you donât want to marry the Senatorâs son. You donât want to marry him, do you? I told you already last night. Donât make things complicated for us.â He added, causing you to roll your eyes.Â
âFor the sake of my power and glory, why not?âÂ
âOh, yeah?â Leon smirked before saying. âThen, look me in the eye and say that you want to marry him.â He challenged you. You tried but ended up looking away after a few seconds.Â
The man smirked and suddenly wrapped his arm around you and pulled you close to him, leaving no spaces between you. Your breasts are pressed against his toned chest and you can feel his abs against you behind his dress shirt. Your faces are so close to each other that in one move, you two will end up kissing.Â
Leon stared deeply into your eyes and whispered. âYou canât because you still love me.â It was true. No matter how much you denied it, it was so goddamned true and you hate it.Â
âI hate you so much.â You whispered. He giggled at your comment and repliedâŚ
âOh, and I love you tooâŚâÂ
Then, he kissed so passionately. He kissed you like his life depended on it. He finally had the chance to pull you close to him and kiss you again as he craved this for a long time. That kiss you shared last night isnât enough. You know and understand it the way he deeply kisses you. He pulled away and started kissing your jawline and neck, inhaling the vanilla scent he loves.Â
âYou have no idea how much I longed to kiss you like this. I want to push you against the wall and kiss you so badly when I am close to you.â Â He whispered and kissed your cheek.Â
You hold onto his shoulder as you breathe. Leon lifted you up in his arms and sat you on top of the car and there he continued to kiss you, setting himself between your legs. You felt his hand caressing your thigh while his other hand was at the back of your head. But what surprises you is that he is not even touching you further. You are wearing nothing but panties underneath your skirt but Leon isnât trying to do something else. He doesnât look like heâs asking for permission from you.Â
âMy darling, do you think I am going to take your precious possession? Of course, not yet.â He smirked, regarding your virginity.
âYou are really my stalker. You even know if I am still a virgin or not.â You scoffed.Â
âIâll accept that as a compliment.â He replied, rubbing his nose against you and pecking your lips. âIf you think that little strip show you did last night will make me do bad things to you, youâre definitely wrong. It turns me on, yes. But I know what kind of a seductress you are and I didnât fall into your trap.âÂ
You were stunned that he knows that you intentionally put on a show for him. But you cleared your throat and denied his claim by replying with a witty response.
âOh, Leon. Even without using my seducing skills, I can make anyone fall into my trap. Thatâs why I always win my cases in the court and complete my missions successfully.âÂ
âThen, there is me, the only survivor of your venom.âÂ
âShut up. Iâm still angry at you,â You rolled your eyes on him and pushed him off you. You stood up and about to leave but Leon held your gloved hand.Â
You hissed and looked at him. Leon looked directly into your eyes. He doesnât want you to leave. Your body moved on its own as Leon pulled you to him again and sat down on top of the car again. He pulled down your coat and tossed it away, exposing your bare shoulders and collarbones. Soft kisses were pressed against your shoulder and neck, making you close your eyes and tilt your head to the side as his arms wrapped around you. His hands held your hands, interwinding your fingers together.Â
âTake them off,â He demanded, referring to your gloves. You hummed in response. âYou heard me. Take them off.â He repeated.Â
Still, you didnât move. Leon sighed before slowly taking off your gloves with such gentle and care. You didnât stop him or remorse from removing your gloves. Once your gloves are removed, he looks at your scars. It made him even more guilty, knowing that it was him who gave these to you.Â
âIâm sorry. Iâm really sorry, Y/n. I shouldnât have left you that night. I shouldnât have kissed her behind your back.â He whispered, kissing forehead as his thumb rubs against your scar gently.Â
âLet me love you again, Y/n. Please, letâs be forever together. I want to make it up to you. Fifteen years of waiting is too much for me to waste this opportunity.âÂ
You looked him in the eyes. You cupped his cheeks, caressing him with your thumb. He hummed in satisfaction, feeling your soothing touch. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer to him. Your thumb grazes his lower lip.Â
âYou know that we canât, right? It is a rule that an employer must never love her employee. I am especially bound to marry David Carter.â You replied to him which made him scoff at your excuse.Â
âYou can talk back to your father like a brat but you canât break his rules? Arranged marriages are bullshit. Your father is definitely pushing all your buttons. And donât use him as your excuse anymore.â You chuckled at his response.
âPapa doesnât know that we had a relationship back then. I never even mentioned your name to him. Because if he does, will we be in this kind of situation?âÂ
âIsnât this supposed to be the right time to break free from your fatherâs chains? He wants you to become the First Lady of the country by marrying the son of the Senate President.âÂ
âWeâre not fully okay, Leon. Donât forget that. I do not forgive anyone who caused me a lot of pain that easily. If you want to be with me, prove yourself that you are worthy of my love and devotion. I have trust issues because of you.âÂ
Leon scoffed and pecked your lips. âIs that so? I think I can overcome that.âÂ
âHmm? How so?â You asked, raising an eyebrow.Â
âItâs a secret. I have my ways to make you give in to me especially when I know that you still love me.â He chuckled, brought your scarred wrist to his lips and kissed them. âDonât be insecure of your scars anymore. I love them even though I am the one who caused it.âÂ
âDonât deny yourself to me, baby. A prosecutor must never lie.âÂ
âDonât you dare bring up my profession here. And I am not insecure of my scar. I just donât like showing it to people.â You warned and he giggled before pulling you into another kiss.Â
âOf course. This is about you and me. Can you stay here tonight? I promise, no one would know. I can make excuses to your guards.âÂ
âEven if I say no, I am sure you will insist.â You rolled your eyes.
 â

Traveling the most beautiful places this 2024:
âVisit to Europe (Vienna)"
In my opinion, traveling is the most interesting thing that is liked by almost half of the people on Earth. Traveling is an adventure that broadens horizons, opens minds and enriches lives. It makes the person happy and fresh of any age, whether itâs about exploring exotic destinations, immersing oneself in different countries and cultures, or simply seeking relaxation in nature and embrace.
Traveling to different countries in a very short time is very difficult to memorize, and making all the events perfectly fully organized or managed is a big task, but having something that makes us memorize about our events in advance is a big support, like tinyti.me website makes this problem easier in today's world by making their website available for us to create events which help in perfect management.
I think Vienna is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The historic core of the city is a massive UNESCO Heritage Site brimming with incredible museums, beautiful galleries, and sprawling Baroque palaces.
The city is a history buffâs dream. Thereâs an incredible cafĂŠ culture, a nearby wine region, tons of amazing eateries, awesome live music (including world-class opera), and much more.
Iâve been coming here for years and I never get tired of visiting. Technically speaking I love the city so much that I used to run tours here!
Naturally, Iâve stayed at countless hotels during my visits. Hereâs my list of the best hotels in Vienna:
1. Hotel-Pension Wild
This two-star hotel is one of the few affordable lodgings in the city center. It has simple but bright rooms that feature comfortable beds, plenty of space, and large windows that let in a lot of natural light. The design is a bit dated (the carpeted rooms donât look particularly stylish) but everything is clean and functional. Rooms include basic amenities like a flatscreen TV, desk, and free Wi-Fi. The bathrooms are pretty small, but theyâre clean and the showers have good water pressure. The hotel offers a hearty continental breakfast and the owner is friendly and welcoming. If youâre on a tight budget, there are small, no-frills single rooms with a shared bathroom available as well.
2. Hotel Domizil
This boutique four-star hotel has small, clean rooms with dĂŠcor that makes you feel like youâre back in Viennaâs imperial past. The rooms have plenty of light and lots of antique touches, such as wooden desks and tables, and upholstered armchairs. Rooms also have free Wi-Fi, a flatscreen TV, and a coffee/tea maker. The bathrooms, while not particularly fashionable (the tiles are kind of ugly), are very spacious and the showers have excellent water pressure. The breakfast, which can be included in the price, has tons of variety, including lots of different fresh breads and cheeses.
Located in the city center, I think this is one of the best value places to stay if you want to be in the center of it all.
3. Hotel Mozart
One of the few hotels in the Rossau neighborhood (just northwest of the city center), this budget-friendly three-star hotel boasts large rooms with lots of natural light. Rooms are spacious and decorated in light colors and feature hardwood or parquet floors. There are lots of other wooden touches too, such as desks/tables, and large wooden headboards. Free Wi-Fi is included, as is a flatscreen TV and AC (a must if youâre visiting in the summer). Some rooms include coffee machines. The hotel boasts a filling breakfast spread each morning with lots of fresh fruit and pastries. Thereâs also a bar on-site and the staff are always happy to share their tips and advice too.
4. Hotel Johann Strauss
Located in the Wieden neighborhood, this stylish four-star hotel is named after the eponymous 19th-century Austrian composer. The hotel is set in a historic Art Nouveau building thatâs been entirely renovated, with rooms that have lots of natural light and a soft, welcoming color palette. Rooms include a flatscreen TV, minibar, coffee/tea maker, desk, and sofa. I really like that thereâs a lot of art around the property, including in the rooms (naturally, much of the art is music centered). The tiled bathrooms are huge, with lots of light and great water pressure. I especially like that the breakfast buffet is enormous and features a lot of variety. The staff is exceptionally friendly too and happy to help you make the most of your stay.
5. Hotel Am Konzerthaus Vienna
Located in Landstrasse near the iconic Belvedere Palace, this luxe four-star hotel feels more like a five-star property. It has a chic lobby and large, bright rooms with super comfy beds. Everything is fashionable and trendy, with lots of rich colors from a darker palette. The large bathrooms are bedecked with dark tiles and are well lit, featuring plush bathrobes and relaxing rain showers. Rooms also include a flatscreen TV, desk, and coffee/tea maker. The breakfast buffet is huge and has a lot of options, but I especially love that the on-site restaurant has a Michelin star (it does amazing modern takes on traditional Austrian dishes).
The hotel is a perfect choice for travelers who want some luxury without breaking the bank.
6. The Ritz-Carlton Vienna
This is arguably the fanciest hotel in town. A five-star property right in the heart of the city, this hotel is spread across four historic palaces (yes, actual palaces). While the hotel feels palatial, it has understated dĂŠcor with a chic minimalist design (think lots of white space with touches of color or artwork). The marble bathrooms are huge and the showers have perfect water pressure. The rooms are also massive and have big, comfy beds (as well as desks, AC, sofas, and electric kettles).
Thereâs also a gigantic breakfast buffet offered each morning and a free glass of champagne when you check in. The hotel also has a pool that plays music underwater, a fitness center, sauna, steam room, and three different spas on-site. In short, itâs the pinnacle of luxury in the city and the best choice for travelers looking to splurge on an elegant stay.
I hope this blog helps you a lot when traveling next time to Europe (Vienna), So, whether you're embarking on a solo adventure, a family vacation, or a romantic getaway, This spirit of travel guides you on a journey of exploration, discovery, and adventure.

Lexi - it's just her, her parents, and Maddie! She's a big family person and considers friends extended family, and she has many
Maddie - see above for family size; the only friend she considers to be her family is Kelsey; she loves her family, but she doesn't seem as much of a Family Person if that makes sense?
Ash - big step family; she lives with her mom, sister, dad, stepmother, and half-brother from her mom's second marriage; her stepmother Mary has a huge family, and Mary is now pregnant; again, loves her family, but there are a lot of people who want a foothold in her life

Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises?
Lexi - it depends; if it aligns with her plans, oh my God surprises are the best thing ever!!!! But if it's not she's gonna be stressed. Surprise birthday party? She'd sense it coming a mile away and would be fine with it. It's her birthday! It's time for a surprise party!
Maddie - would rather be the one surprising; surprise birthday party is something she'd have mixed feelings on because she'd rather do what she wants
Ash - same as Maddie, honestly, since she hates having people control her life, even if it is well meaning
Gwen - eh, she's not huge on surprises, either. If people are planning a birthday party for her, of course she'd be happy! It's the thought that counts if she doesn't like it, though depending on how well they know her, she may like it and adapt.

What kind of accent do they have?
All four are from the surrounding Houston area. Texan accents are present, but not as prominent as they'd be if they weren't in a suburban area. It's worth noting that it's possible they may have picked up some of the varying Alii accents from their parents, although Gwen's mother actually is of Mexican descent and it not from Alium.

Today was a very long day. But it wasn't bad. Just long. My social battery feels very drained. But I am alright. Just ready to be quiet for a while.
I woke up at 6 with an upset stomach. I wasn't feeling amazing. But I had slept well. And I would lay in bed for a while just scrolling on my phone. Soon James would come up and was all smiles to see me. I love them so much.
We would get ready to go. And I was still a little queasy. But I would hold it together. We drove to McDonald's for breakfast. The woman at the window was very nice. Made me smile.
We got to the museum and James realized they had left our suitcase picnic table on the sidewalk outside of our house. I was trying to not be sad but I was really really hoping it was still going to be there. So after James got all my market stuff out of the car they headed home to get it.
But sadly it was not there. I hope whoever picked it up enjoys it. I was pretty bummed but James felt so so so bad so I tried to tell them it was okay. Just buy me a new one. We decided to get a metal/aluminum style one this time. It's a little cheaper. But James still felt very bad.
While they were gone Stanley got me a 4ft table and I really liked my layout today. Ann was sick so I was in charge today and would keep track best I could. Of venders. And customers. And all the little things. It was shockingly humid and would rain for a few minutes but mainly it was just hot.
We would have 17 vendors which was great. I was excited for a few new vendors. Including jam and cold brew coffee. Ginny seemed a little worried about losing business because she sells coffee but cold brew is different. And he was just so excited and I'm really excited for him. Him and his wife are really nice. I am glad he is "taking control of {his} destiny!" As he put it.
I would have a slow start but I would hit my sales goal. I had some really lovely conversations with people who really liked my work. And it was fun. My body was aching and I would sit down but my chair was so low behind my table so I felt bad sitting for to long. But I would need to sometimes. I was just achy.
I would work on my knitting and made 4 squares which was great. I think I have 47 done total but I will have to check tomorrow. I have 3 and a half balls of yarn left so it would be nice to not have to buy a ton more but we will see.
James had come out to get baked goods. But I wasn't super interested in many things. But I got a muffin and brownies for later. And later I would get Mac and cheese. And Jose would give me two tomato's. And the new lavender farm would give me a bottle of lemon grass room spray for free (he kept saying "a gift!!" It was very sweet) and I would gift that to Jess because she likes lemon grass.
I would keep track of things and chatted with Stanley and talked to customers and I was having a nice day. Even if I was sweaty. I did not expect to be so sweaty.
I was very ready to leave at 1. I had been ready since noon. I made one more loop at 1245 to check in with everyone and let them know they could start packing up soon. And went back to my table to do hair that.
I would gather my stuff and put everything in the cart for the market like the brooms and such. Stanley helped me carry things to the car which was very kind. I had to take James's bike off of the back so I could open it and I was so hot in the parking lot sun that I was feeling very stupid and my fingers were struggling. But I got it off and Stanley put the box in the car and we walked with James's bike to the museum so James would have a way home.
I would be inside for a little watching the desk while James locked the bike. I hugged on them for a while. But I wanted to go home. Because Jess was on her way and I wanted to eat and take a shwoer before she got there.
And so I went home. I didn't get an amazing parking spot but it's fine. I would check on all the critters. Then went to take that shower which made me feel a lot better. I would cut up my tomatoes and made a sandwich and the bread could have been better but I still enjoyed it. I chilled on the couch for a while.
I would soak Crabcake and then once he was done soaking I brought him upstairs with me to walk around while I did some stuff in the bedroom. Fixing my face and hair. He was motoring around and it was very cute.
Eventually I let him roam the hall and he ended up in James's office with sweetp watching. It was very silly.
I went to put him away and laid on the couch. I was making a drink when Jess texted me she was a minute away. But then someone knocked on the door and I was sure it was her but it wasn't! It was the mailman with two packages for me. Amazing.
Jess would be right behind them though and I was very happy to see her.
She would get to meet Crabcake and I would give her a couple little gifts I had for her. Including the lemongrass spray and the red puhtok fanny pack and a card holder for our cruise I got us for matching purposes.
But pretty quickly we were on the road. She has gotten stuck in very bad traffic but we wouldn't have to deal with basically any. And soon we were arriving in Columbia at her friend's birthday party.
We were very awkward at first. We didn't know anyone. But her husband Zak saw us and brought us to Ashley inside. And Ashley was so lovely! I am really glad I was invited. Firstly we are the same height and it is always fun to meet someone the same size. And her house was gorgeous. Like a magazine. They had a taco place catering and me and Jess each had a couple tacos and chips and things were good. I liked the tour of the house, I was very impressed by their improvements and their plans for more improvement.
We would join some of Jess's other coworkers outside. There was a boucey house water slide which was very cool. Lots of kids running around having fun. I would have fun talking about competitive eating and YouTuber drama and it is always fun to chat with new people when you have just a little bit in common. Like we found common ground. Jess would point this out later that everyone was interrupting and talking over eachother which was frustrating but also it's how James's family always talks at meals so I think I have a little practice. And I was having a good time. Despite the heat.
We would be there for almost two hours. But we were both sun tired and after a long goodbye we headed out. I took lots of pictures of Jess and Ashley and was being very silly. I was in a silly mood with Jess today.
I noticed we were only like 10 minutes away from a pretty excellent thrift store. So we would make a pit stop there.
And I had a pretty good time but I lost steam really fast. We would look at the knickknacks and furniture and toys. And we got a few things. But neither of us needed clothes or shoes or bags. So we didn't stay a really long time.
We waited in line and I put a few things back while waiting. I would get one wicker box, some shelf brackets, a little while shelf with a heart, and a framed drawing. Jess would get a few things too. But we were both just tired and ready to get back on the road.
When we got back to my house Jess struggled to park because she's out of practice parallel parking but I think it's so funny because she's the reason I know how to do it now!! But she got parked and came inside and I showed her some more of my house projects. The basement and the backyard. The new door knobs. James was home and making a burger. People were grilling outside and everything smelled nice. We would hang out in the AC in the couch for a while though. I had brought James a Mexican soda from the party and they were so sweet being excited about it. And we would all hang out in the living room. It was nice.
I would show Jess the shows I'm getting rid of and she would take one pair of flats that looked really cute on her. And I would show her the mini suitcase I might use for the cruise because I think it's funny to bring so little luggage. It's my favorite thing.
But Jess would have to leave. There was no traffic on the map and so after some hugs she headed home.
And I went to lay on the couch with James. I watched TikToks while they played a video game. It was just a nice evening.
I would take a cool bath and then permed my eyelashes and it actually went really well! First time I think that both eyes seemed tkbhavs come out correctly. James said I look very pretty. And I feel pretty with my lashes up in the air.
But now I am really tired. James seems to already be asleep. I have brushed my teeth and am going to get cozy now. Tomorrow we may go out on lake Roland. But I am just looking forward to relaxing with my husband.
I hope you all have a great night. I love you all. Sleep well!

AAHH SORRY ABOUT LATE POST
Chapter 3 is done, and just a reminder that 1. Im a novice writer, and 2. This is first draft. You all have been nothing but nice but just a reminder <3 anyway here is the next chapter.
Chapter 3:
Plan
Paul unlocked his door and walked inside. He immediately removed his shoes and button-up. He walked through his entryway hall and to his living room. He fell back onto the couch, exhaling heavily as he did. He took out his wallet and looked at the picture of Eric he keeps inside the pocket, he frowned at the thought of where he was. The phone rang, Paul stood up and put his wallet back in his back pocket. Picking up the phone Paul greeted the person on the line.
âHello?â
âMr. Kirby? This is Mr. Walker again from the US embassyâ
âWhat is the news this time.â Paul said with a irritated huff
âIâm sorry to inform you but we will no longer be searching for your son, he is gone Mr.kirby.â
âWhat do you mean? Itâs only been a week since you last called and you are already quitting the search? Eric is missing, he is my son!â
âSir, heâs been gone for 9 weeks now, I believe it's time you accept he is dead, and we can no longer pursue a missing persons case with almost no leads. All we know is he went parasailing in the pacific ocean, only nearby landmass is restricted to everyone, including us. There is nothing we can do Mr. Kirbyâ hearing this, Paul fell to his knees.
âPlease, Mr. Walker, Iâm begging you, just one more month looking for my son, one week, one day, anything! Just please donât stop the search, Iâm begging you.â Tears formed on his face, his hands shaking. Paul is trying desperately to convince Mr. Walker to continue looking for Eric.
âIâm sorry Mr. Kirby, there is nothing we can do. I hope you find peace, and I hope you heal. Goodbye Mr. Kirby.â With nothing but dial tone left coming from the phone, Paul froze, dropping the phone from his hands. Putting one hand on the ground, and the other clutching his heart, Paul broke. He felt such pain in his chest, he was breathing heavily, tears pooled on the ground, as Paul yelled in desperation.
The next morning Paul woke up and got out of his bed, and walked to his kitchen and checked the calendar. He groaned when he realized his store was closed for today. He went to his coffee pot and poured a large cup, and sat at his kitchen table. Sipping his coffee he began thinking about what he was going to do, he still couldnât accept Eric was dead until he saw it for himself. Then he realized, thatâs exactly what he needed to do, he would go out and look for Eric himself, but how? He needed someone who could fly, someone he could pay to help him look, and someone who knew the island they were going to.Â
Paul went into Ericâs old room to see if he could find anything about the island he went to go see. Eric's room here was quite bland, since he was only here every other weekend. Only a bed, a desk, 2 posters and a bookshelf. Paul knelt down to look at the books on his bookshelf.Â
âThis kid and his dinosaurs.â Paul shook his head and smiled. Every single book on the shelf was about dinosaurs, except one. âIsla nublar mysteriesâ written by Dr. Alan Grant. was this the island that Eric went to? Paul remembered it was âislaâ something, and if Dr. Grant has been there, he was Paulâs best chance at finding Eric. Now all he needed was to hire a mercenary team that has access to the island.Â
Paul went to his computer to begin looking for some kind of team, but when he started his search he realized hiring mercenaries is a crime. Paul took a deep breath and made his way deeper into the web, finding a team of seven, for 2,100 US dollars a day. Paul clicked on the link and contacted the lead. Next was to get one last person, Amanda, Ericâs mom. He figured it wouldnât be right to not bring her along unless she didnât want to. Paul picked up his phone, and dialed her number.
Paul sat in the booth at the diner, and fiddled his thumbs, as the waitress walked to him. She was wearing a blue striped uniform with a black apron and her long dark hair tied in a ponytail. âAnything I can get you hun?â She asked kindly
âCoffee please, blackâ he said with a half hearted smile.
âAlrighty, it should be out in five or so minutes, gotta brew a fresh potâ she smiled as she turned and quickly walked away. Paul scanned the diner, looking to see if Amanda was already here. He saw an older couple eating what looked like French toast, he noticed a mother and her young daughter, and a family of three, a mother, a father, and a son around Ericâs age. He got a sink in his heart, an instant wave of anger, sadness and jealousy washed over him. He shook off the feeling and tapped his foot anxiously.Â
Amanda walked into the diner and began scanning for Paul. She noticed him sitting in the far corner booth and she began walking towards him.
âHi Paulâ she greeted him with a smile.
âHey.âÂ
âWhy did you call me here, is this about Eric? Did they find him?â Amanda asked
âSadly no, I got a call from the embassy yesterday and they said that they are giving up searching.â Paul said emptily, âbut I have an idea, since the embassy wont find our son, we will.âÂ
âPaul, thatâs insane. All we know is that he went missing near an island that is restricted to the public, we canât do that.â Amanda exclaimed. âPlus how would we even know how to get around on the island.â
âIâve hired a team to fly us and help us search the island, they can track Eric if heâs there, they said they have access to the island so we arenât breaking any laws.â Paul said enthusiasticallyÂ
âHas anyone in that team been on the island before?âÂ
âNo, but I think we can get someone who has, there was a man who wrote a book about isla sorna I believe, he said he was there. If we can get him, there is our guide.â
âI-â Amanda stuttered âhow do we get him to go?âÂ
âIf we tell him that we want to take a trip there and pay him enough he is guaranteed to go, money and a good story can buy anything sadly.â Paul said. âI know its wrong, but I would do anything for Eric, and I need you to go with me. Are you in?â
âFor I would walk to hell and back for Ericâ Amanda spoke confidently, confidence neither Paul or her had seen in a while.
âIll call the team and let them know, do you want any food while we are her? Ill buy.â Paul smiled at her agreement, showing true happiness for the first time in months.
After meeting with Paul, Amanda went home to do chores and clean up her home. Cleaning has been her way of distracting herself from everything going on. Her house has been spotless for the last 9 weeks, she cleans everything everyday, whether she needs to or not. But today she didnât, though she planned on cleaning, she sat down and started to relax, knowing that she was going to be the one searching for Eric calmed her. Amanda's shoulders loosened as she sat down, Amanda had always felt comfort in control, she loved planning, she loved leading. Thatâs why she had left Paul, he would always break household rules, like giving Eric soda before bed, or not wiping his feet. She didnât like how wild spirited he was, how he wasnât orderly.Â
Amanda began tapping her leg, and looking around at her home. She yawned and decided to stay busy while she relaxed, so she went into Ericâs room to grab one of the puzzles he keeps on his desk. One in particular caught her eye, it was a dinosaur puzzle, with a large dinosaur that had a crocodile-like head and a large fin on its back. She grabbed the puzzle and brought it to the living room table to begin working on it.

Expert Tips from Interior Designers in Trivandrum on Top Space-Saving Furniture Ideas for Small Apartments
In today's urban living, where space is a luxury, making the most of every square foot in your apartment is essential. Small apartments can feel cramped, but with the right furniture choices, you can create a stylish and functional space. As leading interior designers in Trivandrum know, space-saving furniture is a game-changer. This blog will explore the top space-saving furniture ideas to help you maximize your living area, all while incorporating key principles of interior designing in Trivandrum.
 1. Multifunctional Furniture: The Key to Maximizing Space
One of the golden rules of space-saving in small apartments is to opt for multifunctional furniture. Pieces like sofa beds, storage ottomans, and foldable tables offer dual purposes, which is ideal for small spaces. Interior designers in Trivandrum often recommend these versatile pieces to ensure every item in your home serves more than one function. For example, a sofa bed not only provides seating but can also be turned into a guest bed when needed, making it an essential piece in any small apartment.
 2. Wall-Mounted Furniture: A Smart Choice for Small Spaces
When floor space is limited, interior designing in Trivandrum suggests looking upâliterally. Wall-mounted furniture, such as floating desks, shelves, and even beds, can free up valuable floor space and give your apartment a more open feel. Wall-mounted desks are particularly popular among those working from home, offering a functional workspace that can be folded away when not in use. Shelving units mounted on the wall can hold everything from books to decorative items, adding style and storage without taking up floor space.
 3. Modular Furniture: Flexibility and Functionality Combined
Modular furniture is another excellent option for small apartments. These pieces can be rearranged to suit your needs, making them perfect for compact spaces. For instance, a modular sofa can be reconfigured into a chaise lounge, a love seat, or even a bed, depending on your requirements. Interior designers in Trivandrum often recommend modular units because they can adapt to different room layouts and can easily be moved around, offering both flexibility and functionality in small spaces.
 4. Furniture with Built-In Storage: Maximize Every Inch
Storage is a significant concern in small apartments, and interior designing in Trivandrum emphasizes the importance of furniture with built-in storage. Beds with drawers underneath, coffee tables with hidden compartments, and benches with lift-up seats are all excellent examples. These pieces help keep your living space tidy by providing extra storage without taking up additional room. By incorporating storage into your furniture, you can minimize clutter and create a more organized, spacious environment.
 5. Compact and Expandable Furniture: Perfect for Tight Spaces
In small apartments, it's crucial to have furniture that can expand when needed and stay compact when not in use. Drop-leaf tables, extendable dining tables, and stackable chairs are perfect examples. These pieces allow you to entertain guests without permanently sacrificing space. Interior designers in Trivandrum often recommend expandable furniture for those who like to host dinner parties or gatherings but don't have the luxury of a large dining area. These items can be easily stowed away or minimized when not in use, freeing up space for daily activities.
 Conclusion
Maximizing space in a small apartment requires creativity and thoughtful furniture choices. By incorporating multifunctional, wall-mounted, modular, and storage-friendly furniture, you can transform even the smallest living area into a comfortable, stylish home. Expert interior designers in Trivandrum emphasize the importance of choosing pieces that serve multiple purposes, offer flexibility, and include built-in storage. With these space-saving furniture ideas and principles of interior designing in Trivandrum, you'll be well on your way to creating a functional, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing living space.

Palihotel, 107 Pine St, Seattle (Downtown), WA 98101
Itâs hard to beat the location of Palihotel, a 2 minute walk to Pike Place Market, super close to the light rail Westlake station, and a short walk to the Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Aquarium, and downtown. You can also easily walk to Belltown, Capitol Hill, and the International District (with a 1 mile radius of the hotel).
The hotel, which was probably a rundown old hotel before Pali took it over, is smaller but has a charming style (with dark green, plants, woods, and plaids), excellent Diptyque toiletries (soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel), and a well-regarded restaurant (The Hart and The Hunter).
My room was small (perfect size for one person) and had a view of another building and alley. I was surprised by how noisy it was. I heard sirens three times after midnight and could also hear traffic. The bed was comfy with lots of fluffy pillows and a pillow-top mattress. Towels were thick but not soft. The room seemed clean. I tried to change the temperature setting in my room and it seemed like it was centrally controlled.
My room had dark green walls, a small bathroom with a shower (no tub) and huge rain shower head, writing desk, TV, drawers, fridge, one chair, glasses and cups, and a phone.
Amenities include free wi-fi, in-room safe, concierge, housekeeping, room service, staffed front desk, SMEG mini fridge stocked with interesting drinks, snack basket, SMEG electric kettle, thick terry robe, cotton balls, ear plugs, writing pad, postcards, flatscreen TV with HBO, tea, coffee, etc. Snacks and drinks are added onto your bill if you consume them. The bottled water in the room is not complimentary.
They donât have on-site parking or a fitness center. Rooms are smoke-free. I noticed electric bikes outside (must be available for rent) the hotel entrance.
The lobby had a large lounge area that looked like a library/living room with couches, tables, rugs, art, and lots of books. Loved the plaid carpeting in the hallways. There is one small elevator. The area has quite a few homeless people, so itâs not that nice but it is very central and close to lots of things. Thereâs a Target thatâs very close and H Mart is across the street.
4 out of 5 stars

Two Bedroom Furnished Studio Serviced Apartment Rent In DhakaA two-bedroom furnished studio serviced apartment typically refers to an apartment that has two separate bedrooms, a living area, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. It is fully furnished and comes with amenities such as housekeeping, linen and towel services, and access to shared facilities such as a gym or a swimming pool. This is the choice for you if you often travel for work.
Why Short-Term Rentals Should be Your Go-To Accommodation Option for Travel
1.Stable AccommodationYou can easily extend your stay with a short term rental, from days to months to even a year. This means you do not need to worry about uprooting and relocating in the middle of your project.
2.Save MoneyShort term rentals are mostly cheaper than hotels, especially considering the amenities it provides that most hotels do not have, like on-site laundry to kitchen basics. This can mean you have considerably more wiggle room in your budget and can spend that money on other important or luxurious things.
3.Enjoy Your Own FoodBy choosing a short term rental you get all the perks of having your own fully equipped kitchen - which means you can enjoy the freedom and flexibility of cooking for yourself, controlling what and when you eat or rustling up a decent snack when you are hungry.
4.PrivacyOne of the best features about short term rentals is the privacy that we offer. With so much more space of your own to entertain and relax in, you donât need to just stay in the small confines of one room like you do in a hotel, sharing most of your walls with strangers.
5.Furniture And EquipmentMany hotel rooms provide little more than a bed and a bath; a dresser, wardrobe, desk or small couch may be included if youâre lucky. Short term rentals are fully furnished with all the typical furniture youâd find in a home. Hanging up your clothes, having a sofa and coffee table to relax at and a kitchen to prepare food in may seem like small things.

Research Purposes ~ Part 2
*Not my gif*
Pairing: Jay x Reader
Requested: Yes
Prompt: What happens when the only person in the world you didnât want finding out does?
Warnings: Swearing
A/N: Part one found here (NSFW, 18+)
A/N 2: Also thank you to @enchantedblackrose for the idea đ
If you are not 18+ and are unable to read part 1 and want to back story just hit me up (:
âWeâre so freaking late. Thereâs no way weâll have time to stop for my car.â You rushed around Jayâs apartment, pouring coffee for both of you.
âAnd whose fault is that.â Jay looked at you accusingly.
âI was just trying to help the environment.â You shrugged, handing him his cup after checking the lid.
âYou and I both know we wasted more water in there together than we wouldâve showering on our own.â He retorted grabbing his badge and gun off the coffee table to secure them to his belt.
âYeah okay so I wanted shower sex sue me.â You rolled your eyes shrugging your jacket on.
âI wasnât the one complaining.â He smiled, taking a drink.
âWe wouldâve had more than enough time if you didnât insist on cuddling this morning.â You pointed out, remembering how he pulled you back into his chest every time you tried to move out of bed a couple hours prior.
âYou like shower sex. I like cuddling.â He teased handing you your purse.
âMaybe we can draft up an alternate schedule.â You joked.
âI do hear compromise is the key to a healthy relationship.â He replied.
âWe gotta go if you donât want to get pulled over for speeding.â You changed the subject reaching for the door knob, before being tugged back by your arm, turning in time for Jayâs lips to meet yours in a sweet, passionate kiss.
âTo get us both through the day.â Jay winked reaching around you to open the door and usher you out.
This was the second time that week you and Jay would be showing up to work together. Nobody noticed it the first time, but your anxiety climbed at the thought of someone recognizing and approaching you about it. What would you say? You and Jay were only in it purely for the sex. Right? Regardless of that fact that you had stayed at his house almost every night the past couple weeks even without the promise of sex, or how your stuff was starting to accumulate at his house from the past few months. A few t-shirts mixed in with his, hair straightener resting on his bathroom organizer, makeup scattered about on the dresser. Friends with benefits, thatâs all it was. Nothing more and you certainly were not gaining feelings for him. Absolutely not that was against the rules and you were not about to be some stereotypical fuck buddy turned feelings trope, but you were getting sloppy apparently. You agreed to enter through the front while Jay entered through the back. Skipping up the steps you threw a smile at Trudy offering her a good morning, but in return she stared you down, eyebrow raised as she rested against the desk.
âWhat?â You stopped in your tracks in front of her. But she stayed silent giving you a look, and you just knew she knew. She was Trudy Platt. She knew everything.
âYou should tell him.â She whispered to you, and itâs not the first time she had said something of the sort recently.
âTell who, what?â You continued to fake innocence as you had the times before.
âItâs going to end badly.â She pushed again.
âIt already did end badly.â You reminded her before trudging upstairs feeling the heat of her stare still on your back. Everyone except Kim was already there, including Jay who had his feet kicked up on his desk looking through a file. You greeted everyone draping your coat over the back of your chair and falling into it.
The first hour ticked by slowly, and you found your eyes moving across the room to focus on Jay. Opened documents lay across your desk. He looked so relaxed, shoulders loose, breaths slow and even, head resting against his palm as he fought not to fall asleep. You knew he would rather be out chasing suspects, but deep down you were starting to register you were okay with paperwork days. It meant he was safe, and that thought scared you a little. The last time you had those same thoughts you were staring at a different man in the room. A man who sat not too far behind Jay, clicking his pen absentmindedly as he often did when he was bored.
âRuz, Iâll break the damn pen.â Kevin grumbled, as he had many times before in response to the habit.
âSorry.â Adam mumbled, setting the utensil onto his desk away from his fidgety hands.
You chuckled at the small exchange, experiencing the exact same one many times in the years you had been detailed in intelligence with the best people you couldâve ever asked to work with. That certainly didnât mean it wasnât complicated though, and you were the very obvious example of that. You watched Jayâs head bob catching himself before adjusting in order to keep himself awake. His eyes accidentally met yours, heart rate immediately increasing. He sent you a small smile as his eyes started to roam over your body. Looking for a distraction from the tedious work. You couldnât scold him. It wasnât like you hadnât been doing the same thing the past 10 minutes. Looking at his arms that were tight against his sleeves you wondered if the scratch marks you left on his biceps this morning would still be prevalent, or if the fading hickey from nights prior was still noticeable on his hip bone.
âI need coffee. Anyone else?â You asked trying to divert the obvious eye fucking your were giving each other. Everyone in the room raising their hands. You laughed taking notice of all the tired eyes who so obviously wanted to bash their heads off the desk already bored out of their minds, just waiting for a case to jump off.
âIâll help.â Jay offered, voice gruff from barely speaking all morning. Together you poured and distributed everyone cups. Sitting back down into your chair when Jay was handing Kev his.
âYou gonna shave that thing anytime soon? You usually canât stand it past a week.â Kevin asked Jay, referring to his beard. They had always teased him whenever he claimed it grew in patchy compared to Adam and Kevinâs and it usually resulted in him having a clean shaven face the next shift. But it had grown in quite nicely this time, and he made sure to keep it presentable by trimming it as needed.
âNo, itâs starting to grow on me. Iâm keeping it for research anyway. Seems it can enhance far more than just my facial features.â Jay shrugged casually sitting back down atin his chair, and at his words you choked on your coffee spitting it all over your desk. Uncontrollable coughs tickling your throat.
âYou good [Y/L/N]?â Hailey asked standing up to help you.
âYeah..sorry. Just.. went down the wrong pipe. Didnât expect it to be so.. hot.â You explained between coughs looking across the room to glare at Jay who wore a cocky smirk on his face, flipping through papers not daring to look up at you.
âYou forget your ice?â Adam asked, knowing you had put a couple cubes of ice in your coffee every morning cooling it down so you could drink it faster.
âI mustâve. Kinda out of it today.â You shook your head taking napkins out of your drawer to try to clean up the mess you had made on your desk as well as your white shirt.
âIâll get you some.â He started to walk towards the break room.
âItâs really okay I spit most of it out anyway.â You laughed.
âIâll just get you a new cup.â He reasoned and you just thanked him not feeling like bickering with him about it. He had been going out of his way to do nice things for you recently. You assumed either so you wouldnât spill the beans about him and Upton or because he felt bad.
âThereâs no way this is coming out..â You grumbled dabbing at the tan stain forming on your shirt, âDo you happen to have a spare?â You asked, turning towards Hailey.
âIâm sorry I donât. I used my spare the other day after that shooting and havenât brought another extra.â Hailey apologized. You waved her off thanking her anyway.
âThereâs one in my locker.â Jay offered, âYouâll probably just have to tuck it in.â You thought for a moment, it probably wouldnât look like a big deal. Just a friend helping out a friend.
âOkay. Thanks.â You nodded getting up to head to the locker room where Jay followed. âI know where your locker is.â You rolled your eyes.
âYes, but you donât know my combination nor are you very good at opening dial locks. Hence why you have a keypad one on yours.â Jay pointed out, spinning his combination. He was right. You could never open dial locks.
âDo you analyze everything I do?â You crossed your arms annoyed at how well he always seemed to know you.
âYouâre an interesting person babe.â He smiled handing you the shirt as he kissed your forehead.
âWatch yourself. You donât know whoâs hiding in here.â You lectured, âthis is your fault by the way.â
âI know. Total win-win situation.â Jay laughed, smiling brightly.
âYouâre gonna be the death of me Jay Halstead.â You groaned, a small smile on your lips.
âWhat a way to go though, huh?â He quipped, giving you a quick kiss.
âGet out.â You pushed his chest.
âWhat? No free peep show? I offered you my shirt and everything.â He acted offended.
âTheyâre gonna start getting suspicious if we are in here any longer go.â He huffed at your reply giving in and leaving as you turned around to switch shirts. Jayâs scent immediately overwhelmed you as you slipped his shirt on. Causing your body to relax in turn at the familiar fragrance. Jay was right, you had to tuck the shirt into your jeans, otherwise it couldâve been a dress thanks to your large height difference. Turning to walk out of the locker room, you were met with Adam holding a new cup of coffee out to you making you jump at the unexpected body in your path. âThank you.â You giggled taking it from his hand to take a drink.
âDid you change?â He asked, eyeing the shirt you now wore.
âOh yeah. I had white on and it was gonna stain so Jay offered me his shirt.â You explained, shifting on your feet at the uncomfortable conversation.
âWell I have one. It might fit you better.â He offered moving to walk towards his locker, but you put a hand to his chest stopping him.
âIâm good this one is perfectly fine.â You reassured him, Adam stared at you, breaking the tense silence with a long sigh, leaning against the side of the lockers.
âListen we never got to talk about that night you came to my apartment. I just wanted to say Iâm really sorry you-â He began to apologize when Kevin peeked his head in the door.
âHey, Iâm sorry to interrupt..â he looked between the two of you awkwardly, âbut we just got a case.â Adam cleared his throat as you nodded,
âWe can..finish this later.â You chewed on your lip pushing past him to grab your coat out of Kevinâs hand.
It was nearing 8 oâclock by the time Voight had given you guys permission to go home and get some sleep. Knowing youâd be returning bright and early in the morning to continue to case.
âWhat do you think about pizza tonight? Iâve been craving some Bartolis.â Jay asked walking down the stairs behind you.
âIâm not sure thatâs a good idea.â You stopped turning to face him when you rounded the corner out of sight.
âWell I can just get pizza and Iâll stop for whatever else you want too.â He offered.
âIâm not talking about food, Jay.â You laughed, looking at the ground. Your mind had been racing since showing up with Jay this morning.
âThen..what are you talking about?â He asked, stepping closer towards you.
âI mean I donât know Iâve been at your place almost every night the last couple weeks.â You whispered, hoping your voice wouldnât carry to anyone nearby.
âWell we can go to your place. Thatâs fine.â He reasoned.
âNo thatâs not..â You sighed not able to find the words.
âHey, just talk to me. Whatâs up.â He encouraged hands falling to your hips holding you gently.
âIâm just worried weâre starting to get careless. Showing up to work twice in one week together. One of these days weâre bound to get caught either coming in together or showing up on scene together. We donât even know what this is. I donât want to have to talk to Voight about it in the meantime.â You explained.
âWe can be more careful. I promise. I just donât want you to freak out about this.â He assured you tucking your hair behind your ear. âCan we just address how good you look in my shirt. Iâm so glad youâre such a klutz..â Jayâs eyes roamed up and down your body.
âI am not a klutz! How did you expect me to react?â You crossed your arms, glaring at him as you did a few hours prior.
âWell is it not the truth? This thing is still on my face purely for your satisfaction.â He reminded you by trailing his lips down your neck, immediately summoning goosebumps from the raggedness tickling in the wake of his lips. He winked knowing his point was proven, moving up to place a soft kiss on your lips. âSooo pizza?â He asked, pulling back, hopeful look on his face.
âFine, but Iâm not going in to get it.â You rolled your eyes, a bright smile on your face when he wrapped an arm around your shoulders pulling you towards his truck but when you rounded the corner your eyes connected with Adamâs who stood near the door, eyes wide between you two as Jay let his arm fall to his side, your feet rooted to the floor.
âI forgot my wallet in my locker.â Adam explained stammering over his words.
âWell donât let us keep you. See you tomorrow brother.â Jay remained calm grabbing your arm to pull you out. Patting Adam on the shoulder when you passed.
âShit!â You cursed when you reached Jayâs truck.
âWhat?â He questioned and you looked at him dumbfounded.
âYouâre fucking kidding me right?â You scoffed.
âHeâs not gonna tell Voight. For starters itâs Adam. Plus we know about him and Hailey. He canât.â He shrugged.
âThatâs not what Iâm worried about!â You yelled.
âYou just said thatâs what you were worried about.â Jay reminded you, trying to catch up. âBabe.â He urged when you didnât answer him.
âYou donât get it Jay!â You shook your head, lump forming in your throat at the anxiety the situation presented.
âNo, youâre right I donât. Iâm sorry. Help me understand.â He grabbed a hold of your hand trying to get you to face him.
âNot right now.â You chewed your lip feeling a few tears fall down your cheeks, quickly swiping them away before they were seen, but you knew Jay would know regardless. You were tired, hungry, and now slightly panicking at the thought of having to address the entire situation. His hand squeezed yours tighter before starting his truck putting it in drive.

FBI training (Part 1)
Pairing: Stiles Stilinski x Reader
Summary: The reader is the child of the two most skilled FBI agents of the States. At the FBI training she is paired up with a very determent young man who always finds a way to trouble her.Â
Authorâs note:Â I tried to make it as genderneutral as possible. But at some point there is a small implication that the reader could be female and their roommate could be male. But further than that, there is no specifications of gender.Â
This is going to be a multiple part fic. The first part already took me way too long to write. So I apologize in advance if the next parts will take long to write too. I will try to finish them as quickly as I can.
Words: 3k (3084)Â
On the most important day of your life, running late was not one of the things you had planned for. But seen how impulsive your roommate could be, it wasnât out of the ordinary for them to mess up your schedule. They had stolen all your alarm clocks at night for some stupid experiment. Yes, you owned multiple. Normally you used your phone as an alarm. But after a couple mishaps caused by your roommate, you couldnât put all your trust entirely on electronic devises. So you had bought an old-fashioned alarm clock that still ran on batteries, just in case something were to happen to your phone. But even that clock had been ruined many times. So from that moment on you always had some spare clocks hidden in your room, just in case.Â
That they had found all your spare clocks wasnât too surprising, seen that they werenât hidden very well. What did shock you was that they hadnât woken you up by their wild scavenger hunt. You were a light sleeper, even the smallest of noises could shake you out of your deep rest. Thatâs why you wore earbuds to bed, including that particular night. They often didnât muffle the sounds enough, surely not during an experiment. Your roommate tend to forget about their surroundings as they start one, getting lost in their passion. You had awoken countless of times to the sound of falling objects, happy laughter, mumbles of rambling thoughts, excited jumping, soft sobbing and frequently a loud whine or groan. By now it was a normal occurrence. But of course, on that night the earbuds had done their job, cancelling out all the noise from the nightly events.Â
The evening before, everything had gone smoothly. Too smoothly. You were supposed to suspect something, but your intuition had failed you due to the overwhelming amounts of emotions that threw you out of balance. There always had to be a bump in the road. Nothing ever went entirely good. You had excitedly packed your backpack, leaving out a book to read before you went to bed. Next you picked out your outfit for the morning, neatly placing it on top of your wooden desk. Making that decision the day before took away a part of the unwanted stress to your already overflowing anxiety-filled body. Not that picking an outfit for the FBI Academy would be hard. They had a strict dress code. Everyone had to wear a white button up, tie being an optional choice. What you wore as bottoms also was a free choice, but they had to be formal and needed to show off professionalism.
Before you had changed into a big T-shirt and some sleeping shorts, you checked over your backpack and outfit; making sure you hadnât forgotten anything. After double checking 3 times, you continued your night âroutineâ. (Your days never looked the same, so you couldnât really call it a routine.) You washed your face and brushed your teeth, bidding your roommate goodnight as you passed by their room. Once in your room again, you placed your phone on the nightstand, making sure itâs charging for the night. Next you grabbed your earbuds, securing them in your ears before climbing into bed. While you sank into the pile of soft pillows, a mixture of emotions overwhelmed you. Excitement and anxiety had boiled up in your body throughout the whole week. But only now did they leave a tight, crushing feeling in your chest. None the less, sleep soon overtook your senses, greeting you with a peaceful night full of dreams.
As soon as your eyes closed, your luck decided to no longer be on your side. A default in your roommateâs experiment had caused a huge black-out in your building. The electricity had been out all night, resulting in your phone being dead as you awoke the next morning. Usually you could have trusted on your spare alarms, but those were also destroyed in the process of the experiment. That left you with no alarms to wake up to , therefore ending up being late.
What actually had woken you up was the harsh light shining through your thin drapes. It immediately triggered a huge wave of panic to drown, stealing all the air from your longes. Your eyes shot to the analogue clock that hung on your wall, cursing loudly as you read the time. You quickly jumped out of bed, stumbling through your room in a hurried state. At a rapid speed you pulled your clothes on, washed your face, brushed your teeth, tamed your wild bed-hair and desperately tried to make yourself look presentable in the little time you had. You ran back to your room to grab your backpack and the book you were supposed to read last night. Next you made your way over to the small kitchen, taking an apple from the fruit bowl. As you stuffed it into your backpack, you placed your book onto the table. While doing so, your eyes caught sight of your roommate sleeping with their head onto the cold surface. They were surrounded by your broken alarm clocks, pieces scattered everywhere. You couldnât resist the urge to hit them against the head with your book. Not too hard of course, but hard enough to make any impact. They jumped awake, nearly falling off their chair. âNext time wake me upâ, you said referring to their failed experiment, âSurely when you steal all my alarm clocks.â You continued rushing to the front door, shoving your book in your backpack as well. They mumbled a small apology. âUsually you wake up way before your alarmâ, their voice was groggy and quiet. While putting on your shoes you shouted your reply: âNot when I havenât slept less than 6 hours in the past 5 days.â Another apology followed, but you payed no mind to it. You shut the door behind you with a rather loud thud. You deeply breathed in and out before starting your run towards campus. The interaction hadnât been in a mean manner or a sign of anyone being upset at the other. It was just your panicked, anxiety filled state being in need to rush, while they had their brain still filled with the morning fog.Â
The reason why you barely had closed your eyes in the past 5 days, was because you were helping your parents who had stumbled upon a cruel twist in their rather difficult case. You couldnât stand to just watch them suffer, so you pulled a few all-nighters with them until you solved most of the hard parts. The feeling of being able to solve such a thing, made it all worth it. None the less, it still had left you exhausted and drained.Â
---
To your surprise you had made it in time. You had ran your way to campus, underestimating how far the distance actually was. You tried to catch your breath as you quickly checked your watch. You had 8 minutes till your class started. It was a little late for your liking, knowing how important punctuality is to them, but it would do. You lightly jogged through the halls as you looked at the map of the building that was supposed to guide you through the maze like structure. Even if you had been there plenty of times before in your life, it still was a confusing structure that didnât want to stick in your head.Â
Your mind was too occupied with other things, completely forgetting about your surroundings. So, it was only logical for you to run into a person. The impact of bumping into their harsh chest made you stumble back the slightest bit, but you were able to quickly steady yourself like nothing had happened. Before you could look at the damage you had done, a high pitched voice cracked out a long ânooâ. In front of you stood a tall, raven-haired man with warm brown eyes. He was looking at the huge coffee stain on his white button while holding his empty coffee cup in his other hand. In the mean while you had gotten distracted by his beauty. You noticed small birthmarks littering his pale skin, resembling little constellations being spread out in the night sky.Â
The string of curse words leaving his lips pulled you out of your fazed out state. You had accidentally been checking out this exceptionally beautiful man, who hopefully hadnât noticed anything of it. It would be highly inappropriate and quite uncomfortable. Luckily for you his eyes were still on the huge coffee stain. âOh, Iâm so sorryâ, you stammered out, immediately moving into action. You swung you backpack to the front, rumbling through your stuff in order to find the spare shirt you had stolen from your roommate. They didnât mind. You were clumsy by nature and had to lend their clothes on plenty occasions. Neither was it your first time to ever ruin someoneâs clothes, so you always tried to be prepared for moments like this.Â
The man continued to angrily mumble to himself, clearly stressing out. He failed to notice the shirt you had offered to him, until you spoke up. âHereâ, you offered him a polite smile as his head shot up at a fast pace. You were met with a confused look being plastered over his face. Assuming what his next statement would be, you answered before he could open his mouth. âItâs a menâs medium.â As his facial expression didnât change, you huffed out an annoyed sigh. He seemed to have trouble connecting the dots. He just had to accept the shirt, thatâs all. You couldnât lose any more time, surely not by a stupid encounter. âTake it or go in with a huge stain, itâs your choiceâ, you stated with annoyance clearly noticeable in your voice, while trying to continue your kind demeanor. You dropped the shirt into his hands. âIf I were you I would change quicklyâ, you said over your shoulder before turning the corner that lead you to your final destination.Â
You had made it just in time. The classroom already filled with students. You quickly sat down at one of the tables that still had an empty spot. On your left sat a nice looking girl with her hair tied up in a tight ponytail. She offered you a kind smile that faded into a mean scowl only seconds later. Would she have recognized you? Did she knew who you were?
You were the child of two of the most skilled FBI agents of the States. They were top of their field and greatly respected by most people. Seen you family (who all worked in similar fields) were so well known, it was only logical that you also would gain the attention from outsiders. But that also caused them to make wrong assumptions about you. They were often too stubborn to see the truth or didnât even want to take the chance to get to know you. They just thought you were an arrogant, ego-centric, selfish child who was spoiled to dead and never had to work a day in their life. They thought you were in dire need to constantly get all the attention. They expected you to think highly about yourself while looking down on others, therefore also expecting you to be condescending towards them. Your parents had tried to prepare you for this. Not everyone is going to like you or take their time to get to know you before voicing their opinions about you. In this field, and similar fields, professional jealousy was very common. It made people act in vile ways. You feared this was going to happen in your training.Â
You sat in your chair with a scared heart while anxiously tapping your pencil against the desk. The supervisor was reading names of a list, but your mind drowned his voice out due to your excessive worrying. It all went smoothly, until he tumbled over a particular hard name. âMie-Mic...â, the poor man looked questionably at his paper, desperate to pronounce the name correctly. As on cue the boy from earlier came to stand into the doorframe. His stained shirt was replaced by yours, fitting him just a tad bit too tightly. It showed off his muscular body even more. âMiecsyslaw Stilinski, sir... But most people call me Stiles.â His voice was lower this time, but still clearly with with raging anxiety. Hearing his name roll of his tongue so smoothly made an alarm go off in your head. It sounded oddly familiar. Surely the nickname âStilesâ had triggered a vague memory to resurface in your head. You just couldnât figure out any of the details. It was like an itch you couldnât scratch.Â
The supervisor looked sternly at the new boy with an unimpressed look on his face. His eyes examined him, clearly judging his appearance. âAh, I see. Well, next time be on time .. and dress appropriately. You donât need to try showing off your pretentious muscles, it doesnât suit you.â That comment made you feel even more guilty. It was your fault he was late and had to dress in a too tight shirt. He apologized with his eyes faintly focusing on something behind the supervisor, before they quickly went to you in order to shoot you a nasty glare. You returned an apologetic smile that didnât help much with the current situation. He continued to hold eye contact with you until the manâs voice filled the room again. âNow take a seat will youâ, the annoyance was clear as day. His eyes left yours for a split second as he came to action, stumbling his way towards the empty chair that just happened to be to your right. As he passed by, still holding intense eye contact with you, his faint but sweet cologne filled your nose. A scent that later on would distractingly infiltrate your nose, no matter how much you tried to focus on something else.Â
You were pulled out of your trance again when an excited voice filled your ears. â(Y/N)(Y/L/N), what a surprise to see you here. What could we possibly teach you? You already know everything and are following your parents footsteps flawlessly.â Your cheeks reddened at his praising comment. The other students immediately glared at you, envying how sweet he acted towards you. Towards the others he had been cold and distant, whereas now he was talking highly about you. A big difference that everyone easily noticed. The room immediately was filled with a strong uncomfortable tension that reeked of jealousy.
The main reason for his kind demeanor towards you was because you already knew each other. Your parents often visited the Academy, helping with the development of new tasks or other improvements. Other times he visited you at home. He had seen you grow into the person you are today. His bond with you could be considered as a familiar one, or at least close to. So that explained. his fondness of you. The other reason for his praising was the status of your parents. It would be a shame on him and the Academy to talk down on or disrespect your family or you in any way. Besides the great help they provided for the Academy, they also were one of their sponsors. You just hoped that they wouldnât use this to your advantage by treating you differently and more highly. You wanted to be given a fair chance. If they were going to train you without fairly criticizing you out of fear of disrespecting your familyâs name, then this whole thing would be a waste of time.Â
âWell, everyone is equal to the law. Itâs one of the requirements we all need to go through to become an FBI agent. No matter how experienced or inexperienced we are, we all deserve to be treated equallyâ, you said timidly, trying not to sound overly confident or condescending towards others. You gave the supervisor a timid but kind smile while trying to avoid the burning glares. You didnât want to go any deeper into the subject.Â
Seen that you were a child of the two top FBI agents of the states, meant that you had been trained to follow their footsteps from a very young age. As a baby you were given a lot of puzzles and stimulants to train your senses. At the age of 3 the tasks started to be more difficult and challenging. At your 5 the training started to become serious. When you were 12 you already were allowed to help with smaller cases. At 16 you were actively helping them with all types of cases. Both your parents had gone through the same training, seen that their fathers also had been top FBI agents. At this point the training had become some sort of tradition in your family. Most of the people in your family had underwent similar trainings, as they all worked in similar fields. They varied from FBI agents, cops, sherifs, detectives to medical helpers such as nurses, doctors, firemen,...
The supervisor laughed at your comment. âIâm sure youâll graduate without any trouble. Itâll be an easy game for you. Even in your sleep youâll still be top of the class.â Again, you shoot him an awkward but polite smile, being uncomfortable by the amount of praising he has done. It was overwhelming and placing you in a hard position. âThat depends on how hard you make the tasksâ, your timid voice became even more quiet as the mean glares had intensified. âAlways so humble. Just like your parents.â With that statement he ended his long praising session.
As he continued his speech of the importance of this training, you let out a deep sigh. You had turned impossibly bright, your face burning from embarrassment. Without intending to, he had put you as a target for everyone to hate on. He made you seem like the enemy that everyone had to fear. He had thrown tons of gasoline on the burning fire of jealousy. Your future colleagues saw you as the one thing that would stand in their way of becoming a FBI agent, something that would withhold them from their dream. If there wasnât going to be rough play already, there sure would be now. This was going to be a rougher year than you had anticipated. You were already dreading the next day to come.Â

Partners Against Crime
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Gender Neutral Reader
Summary: After your boyfriend takes a promotion, youâre assigned a new partner. How will you both deal with the separation and potential of someone getting in the way?Â
Warnings: This fanfiction does revolve around law enforcement but I will not include any controversies.Â
Word Count: 2.4k
A/N: Thank you @stucky-my-ship for requesting this! Iâm so excited to turn this into a series. Hope you enjoy <3 Thank you so much to those who read! Feedback and interactions are heavily appreciated. Also! Please reach out if you would like to be tagged in future parts and my other projects.
Part 1
You flickered your eyes open as a blaring noise came from beside you. No matter how many years of experience you had with this job, you swore you would never get used to this schedule. Even when you were starting out as a beat cop everything seemed easier. It was probably just the adrenaline from coming straight out of the academy but then your life changed. You were promoted from beat and finally landed your goal job as a detective. You dreamed of being a detective ever since you were little. You smiled softly at the memory of you sneaking downstairs to watch tv behind your parents backs. Often finding yourself glued to crime shows; they fueled your desires to take down criminals.
You throw your arm toward the side table and shut off the alarm. Then you proceed to roll over and frown at the empty bed space beside you. Your boyfriend, James Barnes, well you called him Bucky, just got promoted to Sergeant. He was officially in charge of the precinct you both worked at. Which was both a blessing and a curse. You were so proud of Bucky, he finally got the promotion he has been working his ass off for and the new job came with a lot of good things for him.
But, you couldn't hide the fact that it was gonna severely weigh on you. You and Buck had been partners since you first got promoted to detective. You both really clicked from that day forward. It was gonna take a lot to get used to not having him by your side. In this line of work you need a person you can trust one thousand percent. At the end of the day this person is in charge of your life and you're in charge of theirs. Bucky was the definition of what a partner meant to you. Which is why it was no shock that three years later you both shared an apartment and ended up falling in love. However you just knew the promotion would put a damper on that as well. You had to keep your affair hidden from the precinct and trusted very few people. When you moved in with Bucky, you weren't even allowed to update your address so every now and then you'd make your way over to your old place to pick up mail. Luckily, you hit it off with your old landlord and he helps with anything and everything you need. Although you were certain he did it to eventually get a legal favor. But you didn't mind. It bought you time with the man you love.
Being that the precinct didn't know about you and Bucky, you couldn't stop yourself from worrying about the future. He was no longer your equal. He was your boss and you were terrified of the thought of someone finding out about your relationship. It could get both of you fired or moved to different precincts. Which was the better of the two, but it would be hard to work without each other. You strongly believed what made you best at your job was having him beside you. Or at least in the same work place. This mindset also made you question if your relationship would ever progress more than it was. Of course you wanted to eventually marry Bucky but how would that work with your jobs? There were so many obstacles the two of you faced and it made you even more stressed for your first day without him.
While groaning, you rub your face. Then you gain the strength to pull yourself from the half empty bed. You make your way to the bathroom and turn on the water. Giving it time to heat up while you go grab a towel and pick out clothes for your day. After showering and getting ready, you stepped out of your shared room. The apartment is small and cozy. New York was an expensive city to live in but you both made it work. When you were looking for apartments, you didn't care where you ended up just as long as we were with each other. Being that the apartment was tiny, you could see straight into the kitchen from the hallway. Your eyes fell straight on a note besides the partially full coffee pot. You smile to yourself and walk over. You lift it off the counter and begin to read,
Good morning Doll
I hope you slept well. I left early this morning to get a head start on everything at the station. I made us coffee. I hope it's still good by the time you wake up.
Yours,
Bucky
P.S. Please grab our usual at the deli before you come in
You let out a brief chuckle at the final sentence written on the piece of paper. You grab a travel mug from the cabinet and place it in front of you. Then you proceed to grab the pot and pour it into the cup. After adding creamer and sugar, you bring the cup to your lips and take a small sip. The coffee was good but on the colder side. Therefore you pop it in the microwave while you quickly grab your belongings. When you hear the beep, you remove it and put the lid on. Carrying everything with you out of the door.
While driving to work, you swing by the deli up the road from your apartment building. You park on the busy New York street and quickly get out of your car and run inside. The bell above the door dings and Frank and Linda look up from behind the counter. You shoot them a large smile and they quickly return. The deli was owned by this sweet older couple since the early 70s. They were so kind to you and really cared for their regulars. So much so, they memorized Bucky and your order. Sometimes even having it ready before you arrive in the mornings.
"Good morning (y/n)! Where's Bucky?" Frank asks, his welcoming smile fading into a light frown. He walks toward the edge of the counter to meet you.
"Good morning! He went in early. First day of the new promotion. I'm still gonna bring him breakfast though," you explained while Linda grabbed a brown paper bag from the far counter and brought it toward you.
"Oh! Please tell him we wish him well, would you? We remember like it was yesterday when you both started coming in here. You've come a very long way and were so proud of you both," Linda said kindly. Her words turn your cheeks a dark shade of pink.
You could remember that day like it was yesterday as well. Bucky brought you here on your first day of the job and you've been coming to Frank's since.
-
"Why don't we stop and get food before we start our case? I know this amazing deli a few blocks away from the station," Detective Barnes suggests and you nod.
His gaze stays on you while you both get into his car. You slide into the passenger seat then proceed to put your seat belt on. You watch him do the same then start the car.
"So how long have you been a detective?" you ask softly, fiddling with your notebook and pen in your lap.
"Bout' 5 years or so. Rogers, the guy you met back at the precinct, he was my partner. We go way back," He replies while he pulls out of his parking spot. Beginning to make his way up the block.
You watched the busy street and took everything in with new eyes. You lived in New York your whole life but the city was still new to you. Your gaze shifts to your partner and you blushed lightly. His dark hair, calming smile and kind personality seemed to draw you in. But you pushed those thoughts away. This was professional and you knew that. However you found yourself incredibly lucky to be partnered with someone who already gave you such a welcoming homely feeling.
"Whatcha thinking about, (y/l/n)?" he asks. Shifting his attention from the road to you. His eyes connected with yours and suddenly all of your first day jitters went away.
His eye snapped back to the road and he began puling to a stop. Veering off to the right side of the road into an empty parking spot. Once his eyes snapped away, you took a deep breath and looked away as well.
"Just trying to get a good read on my partner. Making sure he's not dirty or part of something that'll get me killed," you say jokingly. You let out a laugh at your own stupid explanation and Barnes' attention quickly turned back to you. The corners of his mouth instantly went up and he shot you a toothy grin.
"Don't worry. If you're with me long enough. I'd let you in on my dirty cop side. No need to fear for your life," He joked back. Holding up his hands as if he were surrendering.
"All about the money in the end, isn't it Barnes?" You asked, continuing this forming inside joke.
"Oh definitely."
You both get out of the vehicle and you notice a big sign above the small deli. The name reading FRANK'S. You both walk inside and you smile as you're greeted by a seemingly older couple. You have been to countless deli's in New York State but this one gave you a great feeling. You didn't have family in the city. So it amazed you how quickly strangers could become such a crucial piece in your life.
-
She hands the order to you and you begin to pull out your wallet. Frank instantly puts his hand up and smiles, "Please it's on the house today. Also don't forget your coffee! Feel free to grab one for Bucky too."
"Thank you so much," was all you managed to reply with. Their utter kindness always brought so much love to your heart.
You notice you forgot the mugs so you walk out of the shop toward your car. You unlock it and pull on the passenger side door. You put the food in your car. Then lean over and grab your nearly empty travel mug from home and the spare from your car. You bring them inside so you can quickly fill them up before making a b line to work.
When you arrive, you walked into the precinct with your hands full. Doing your best to carefully get to your desk. You notice Bucky making himself at home in his new office and you can't help but feel an overwhelming amount of happiness for your boyfriend. He looks so excited and you were so incredibly proud of him. You set your coffee down then pull out your breakfast sandwich placing it on your desk. You grab the brown bag and Bucky's coffee wasting no time before you walk into his office. The man instantly looks up from his papers with a smile.
"Good morning beautiful. Is that for me?" He asks softly, keeping his voice low enough so no one hears.
"Good morning Sergeant Barnes," you say with a small smirk growing on your lips. You move closer to the desk and set everything down. "Linda and Frank gave us our food for free today. They wanted to congratulate you on the promotion. They're very proud of you."
"That's very kind of them. I needed this. Thanks for picking up the food. Rogers told me to come in early and I'm kinda glad I did because he was able to give me the full run down. Hopefully everything goes smoothly from here on out. Although it was weird coming in alone. I hope that won't become a regular thing. Despite the headache, I love our chaotic mornings," Bucky explains followed by a small chuckle. Your mind instantly recalls how usually your mornings consisted of you both fighting for space to get ready. Except you also both secretly adored the morning due to the fact Bucky loves to wake you up with light kisses.
"I agree. I really hope it's not regular. I already lost my partner, the last thing I want to lose is alone time with my boyfriend," you sigh then force a slight laugh. You didn't mean for it to come off in an upsetting way, but you realized it did when the room fell silent.
"Is my new partner coming in today?" You ask curiously, unable to find anything but awkwardness after your statement. You pay close attention to his face and notice a sour look appear. Maybe he wasn't taking it as well as you thought.
"Yeah. He should be in soon," Bucky replies and you nod. You walk out of his office and make your way to your own desk.
You unwrap your sandwich and use one hand to eat and the other to flip through your files. Taking in all of the new information for the case you are starting. You quickly finish your food then you take a large sip of your coffee. You haven't been given any information on your new partner so you wanted to make sure you knew as much as you could about your mutual assignment. Just in case you were stuck with someone inexperienced.
After about a half hour of being lost in thought while analyzing your papers, Bucky's strong voice fills the room. You look up and catch his gaze. He motions for you to come toward him; you get up from your chair and follow behind him into his office. Inside you see a man sitting in one of the two chairs across from Bucky's. He had on black dress pants, a light blue button up shirt and a black blazer. The outfit complimented his body quite well. Your focus moves up to his face, noticing his piercing blue eyes and his slightly long blonde hair. You hear a fake cough come from Bucky and instantly look at him.
"Detective (y/l/n), this is your new partner. You guys will be working the Reagan case together."
The man stands up from his chair and eyes you up and down. He finally extends his hand to you and you shake it.
"Hi, I'm Detective John Walker."

âââââââââââââââââ
There was something about the BAU bullpen that felt like another world. The open layout and the way it could shift from frantic rushing to bored silence in seconds sometimes made me feel like I was the most normal person contained within its walls. It was a rare sight, to see me there, and for good reason. I didnât like to be there, considering most of my time there had been spent being questioned about homicide.
But it wasnât like that, not that morning. Iâd finished my doctorâs appointment early enough that I could hopefully locate the elusive Dr. Reid before he took off for lunch. And sure enough, just as I excitedly bounced over to his desk, I heard the ever-excited, yet comforting squeak of my boyfriend as he returned with a freshly poured cup of coffee.
âHey, what are you doing here?â he practically yelled through a smile, rushing over to drop the mug on his desk. He couldnât do it fast enough and barely made it. Once the mug was barely safe on the desk, his arms raced to wrap around me.
I giggled at the enthusiasm, considering itâd only been a couple hours since I saw him. But I was ecstatic to be with him and share the news Iâd tucked away to keep safe on the way over. It was too much to bear by myself for long, and I knew he would be happy to help carry the load.
âI finished my appointment early and since I was in the neighborhood, I wanted to come see my boyfriend and give him the good news in person.â I explained. Spencer eyed me cautiously, careful not to get too far ahead of himself. I looked back with what Iâd hoped was a cheeky grin, but I had a feeling it just turned into a goofy, toothy grin. Just as Spencer figured it out and his eyebrows shot up, another voice joined us.
âMia stellina!â Rossi boomed, the bass carrying through the room like it always seemed to. It was the kind of joyful exclamation that demanded your attention, no matter how dark the circumstances surrounding you were. I knew that from personal experience.
I laughed again as he enveloped both me and Spencer in a hug that the latter only kind-of-sort-of cringed away from.
âReid didnât tell us that you were coming in today! I hope Iâm not interrupting anything.â
I snorted at the implication, stepping back to buy back my breathing space. âYouâre never a bother, Rossi.â And I meant it, even if he had just interrupted mine and Spencerâs very important conversation. I could table it for a moment, though. There hadnât been many chances for me to talk to Rossi since the hospital. Although he'd visited less frequently than Derek or Hotch, he'd still come by often enough for me to miss him. He was, by far, the most unique member of the team. People always assumed it would be Penelope, but I stuck with my contention that itâs the quieter ones you have to keep an eye on. Not that Rossi didnât love to talk, and especially when it granted him the ability to name-drop.
âThis is why I like you,â he casually reminded, waving off a slightly offended Spencer on his side. âAnd I trust that Reid already told you about the plans for next weekend.â
As soon as I turned to look at Spencer, he immediately looked away.
Luckily, Rossi wasnât obtuse and quickly recognized the display of guilt. âI stand corrected.â
âWhat plans?â I butted in before either of them could speak. Spencer grimaced at the monotone, as he was fully aware of the level of annoyed it signaled.
âI told him to extend you an invite to the next family dinner, but it seems like heâs selfishly planning on keeping you all to himself.â Rossiâs playful tone was his way of requesting I give Spencer a break, but I wasnât in the mood for forgiveness just yet. After spending months trapped in my bed, I was always looking for an excuse to talk to anyone that wasnât my roommate. And when it came to the team... I mean, they were like his family. It made sense I wanted their approval, right? Or was I really, honestly just seeking the approval of men like Hotch and Rossi because of my âdaddy issues?â And oh, god, I didnât want to delve into that psychology.
âHow rude,â I deadpanned, instead, elbowing Spencerâs side just enough to elicit a pained exhale and an explanation.
âI was going to tell her. I was just waiting until we actually knew when it was going to happen.â
âHeâs lying,â I told Rossi, earning a very adamant, denial from Spencer in the process that I brushed off. We both did. The pout that immediately followed was harder to ignore, but I could be strong.
Honestly, it was just funny to see him in this environment. When he was alone with me, he was usually the one in charge, but at work, Spencer was hardly that. It was the only chance I had to tease the ever living shit out of him with little chance of immediate consequences.
âYeah, heâs lying,â Rossi easily deduced, waving a dismissive hand at Spencer before continuing, âBut luckily, you were here. And whenever it happens, I hope that youâll be there, too. Itâs important for you to have a chance to socialize with us outside of the job.â
I smiled, finally looping my arm around Spencerâs to hopefully ease the pain caused by being ignored. Rossi, however, didnât seem to be on the same wavelength, considering he gave another quick quip. âHopefully youâll bring the kid with you,â he teased as he turned away, pointing to the notably older and larger man at my side.
âHow am I the kid in this scenario?â Spencer muttered under his breath, the pout still on his face, and still just as cute.
âWill do, Rossi,â I happily chirped.
âThank you, stellina.â Rossi said with a wink, casually bringing both hands to his lips to blow each of us a kiss.
Once Rossi was fully out of earshot, Spencer sighed in resignation. He had complained before about the fact that the team had immediately felt comfortable with me, contrary to his own experience. But of course, it wasnât fair to compare. I'd come into their lives piggybacking on their close relationship with him. Spencer didnât see it that way, though.
âWhy do you get a nickname?â he grumbled, dropping his head to the side to rest atop mine.
I didnât let him rest there long, pushing him back away from me so that I could stand before him again. With my fingers under my chin, I flashed the brightest smile I could while dramatically emphasizing, âBecause Iâm a little star.â
Spencer looked down at me with a gentle adoration, his hand coming up to brush over my cheek. My face followed after him, desperate for any contact he could offer in the sterile environment. It didnât really make much sense how touch starved I was; it wasnât like he hadnât touched me over the past couple months. Or even that he'd touched me any less-- if anything, it had been more.
But then again, how could I ever get enough? I was certain Spencer would call me spoiled, and in many ways, I was, but I didnât care. If I could find a way to bottle up the way I felt when he held me, I would. Lord knows there were so many times when I'd needed it and he wasnât there. I wouldnât ever admit that to him, though. What would be the point?
He couldnât always be there. Sometimes he would have to leave.Â
Unaware of the dramatic monologue in my head, my boyfriend sighed. His lips pursed again while he watched my eyes soften the longer that he held my face. âYou certainly are little,â he concluded. I knew he wanted to say more but feared doing so might lead the conversation down a path less suited for work. Although, what I had planned wasnât exactly work appropriate, either.
âYou know weâre definitely going, right?â I replied, peeking my tongue out from behind my lips.
With a loud groan, he took his hand back like the question had burned him. âFine,â he conceded before quickly shifting the conversation, âbut Iâm more interested in what you came here to tell me. How did your appointment go?â
âIt went very well. I got wonderful news,â I beamed. There were many idiosyncrasies of Dr. Spencer Reid that I absolutely adored, but one of my favorites happened to be the one where his eyebrows jumped halfway up his forehead, his eyes going wide with a curious glint. Just like they did then.
âDoes this news mean youâll be staying at my place tonight?â
âIt canâŚâ As I spoke, I wrapped both of my arms around his arm and pulled him down to whisper in his ear, âunless you want to take a long lunch break and get a head start.â
âSomeoneâs eager,â he replied with a snort that didnât sound nearly as promising as Iâd hoped.
âCan you blame me?â
Before I could sulk too hard, he poked me on the forehead and chuckled at the resistance I gave to the action. âLunch, unfortunately, would not give me enough time for what I want to do to you,â he practically purred in a barely-there whisper against my ear. âWhen I get home, I want to find you on my bed with nothing on. Do you understand me, little girl?â
âYes.â I had to stop myself from making too much noise, but a pathetic whimper slipped out before I could stop it.
âGood girl,â he whispered with his retreat, âIâll see you then.â
Suddenly, I couldnât wait for the hours to pass me by. I couldnât stay at the BAU for long, recognizing a sudden shift of energy as JJ began rushing them into the office right before I left. At first, I thought it was a case, but Spencer assured me it wasnât. He promised me that he would be home that night, and that I didnât need to worry.
But the hours did not fly by; they took their sweet fucking time. I didnât even bother waiting in the bed for most of them. I honestly spent nearly 8 of them rifling through the shelves in his living room, looking for a book that was both from this century and actually in English.
After Iâd rifled through his cupboards and realized that he didnât have any food, I went to the grocery store and bought food, returned, unloaded the bags, cooked and ate dinner before I came to one simple conclusion:
Spencer Reid was a filthy goddamn liar.
That was my admittedly grumpy thought when I finally crawled into his still empty bed in his even lonelier apartment. His pillow smelled enough like him that I could hug it and pretend that I wasnât waiting for someone who was probably not going to come back anytime soon. I thought about going home, but I decided being lonely in his bed was better than being alone in my own.
My temper tantrum  kept my face sulkily buried in his pillow, so when my phone started to ring, I didnât notice it. I didnât notice much of anything, and before I knew it, Iâd drifted off into a world where Spencer could keep his promises because his job didnât suck.
Of course, even in my sadness my mind drifted to other memories spent there. Iâd fallen back into the loop of memories of the last time we were together. I could almost feel his breath against my thighs and his hands raking over my hips. And like it always seemed to, reality and fantasy began to blur. Spencerâs hand on my thigh felt so hot, I was burning beneath it. My whole body tensed, my back arching in the hopes of finding him.
I wasnât sure which woke me first, the low, gentle chuckle, or the whisper in my ear.
âMaybe I should change your nickname to Aurora.â
I sat up before I even registered the words. Reacting to his voice alone, my arms were already around him and dragging him back down before he could say anything else.
âYouâre home!â I shouted, groggy but happy to not be alone. If Iâd looked at the clock, I would have seen the hands pointing to the early hours of the next day, but it hardly mattered anymore. All that mattered to me was that he was there, in my arms.
âI guess itâs my fault for not specifying that you should be awake when I got home.â
Answering him with a sloppy, sleepy kiss on the lips, I relished the way he couldnât stop himself from laughing through it. âIâm awake now,â I answered with a very poorly timed yawn. It luckily didnât dissuade him, and his hands quickly worked up over my hips and beneath the sheer negligee Iâd worn to bed hours earlier.Â
âWhatâs this? I could have sworn my instructions were to not wear anything,â he chastised with a smile.
âI donât follow instructions. You already knew that,â I mumbled back. It wasnât until I ran my hands through his hair that I realized that heâd already stripped down to nothing before waking me up.
How considerate.
His curls seemed so much longer than before, and the movements seemed to distract him enough to grant me some mercy. We both knew why I didnât want to be naked yet. And it really was a âyet.â I truly believed that Iâd eventually be able to own my body again, but that point just seemed so far in the future. Spencer didnât want to push it. Not that night.
âIâll let it slide this time.â He shared the words with kisses over my jaw and neck, his hands growing hungrier by the second. They skipped straight from my hips to my chest, grabbing hold of my breasts through the thin fabric. He was almost out of breath already when he murmured, âBefore we do anything, you have to promise me youâll stop me if it hurts.â
âI know, Spencer,â I droned, but he kept going.
âI mean it. Any sign of discomfort, you have to tell me.â
âI know!â I shouted with a laugh, struggling to push him away while he continued to cling to me. Finally having managed to do it, I promptly fell back onto the pillow. As I rolled my body over to lay flat, I managed to grab hold well enough that I could pull him over top of me. âDonât ruin the mood!â
He stopped to admire the sight before him. All I could see, though, was the way he looked at me. The rest of the world seemed to fade away, and I wondered what he saw when he looked at me like that. He looked at me like he loved me so much he wanted to break me. I wished he would.
âHow could I ruin anything when you look so fucking perfect laid out in my bed for me?â He growled, his nails dragging over the sensitive skin of my chest.
I couldnât tell if it was his intention or some kind of Freudian slip, but I was reminded of the day I marred his chest with a necklace-shaped mark in a very similar fashion. The memory made me giggle. âIâm not so innocent.â The understatement of the century.
âMaybe not, but there are still a lot of things Iâve yet to show you.â
I was waiting for the but. I knew it was coming.
âBut for now, weâre going to go slow.â
And there it was. I thought to myself how ridiculously unfair it was that having a good boyfriend meant actually being able to rely on them to take care of you. Even armed with the knowledge of my masochistic tendencies, Spencer was too scared to seriously hurt me. Thankfully, though, he wasnât scared enough to stop him from sliding his hand up my thigh and slipping his finger into my drenched heat.
âThe question is how slow?â he teased, recognizing from the rocking of my hips that I was more than prepared to have him then. âHow much should I torture you, little girl?â
âPlease,â was the only word I could whine at first, but I still saw too much restraint in his eyes. I knew that if I didnât convince him now, I might be there for hours before he gave me what I wanted. It wasnât the worst idea, but judging by his already bloodshot eyes, I figured I might as well speed things along.
âPlease, daddy,â I whimpered much louder, tilting my hips up to present myself to him. I could feel his erection pressed against me, his palm pressing down as he struggled to decide if he even wanted to keep me in place. I could see that desire to destroy me return to his eye with a vengeance. He knew that I was challenging him, but then again, when did I not?
âTake care of me,â I begged. That was the way I succeeded in breaking Spencer; in turn, he would break me.
He grabbed my legs so quickly and roughly that I was almost dizzy with it. Wrapping them around his own hips, he lined himself up and began dragging the head of his cock over my sex. Low and wildly shaking, Spencerâs words were only barely audible over the sound of the blood rushing in my veins.
âAre you ready?â he asked, like my answer would ever change.
âYes!â I shouted, nodding like my words wouldnât be enough.
Spencer had barely waited for the confirmation. Inch by inch, he slowly stretched me open like it was the very first time he touched me. His movements were so precise, so gentle and undoubtedly tender, that I thought I might actually cry.
I had almost forgotten what it felt like when he touched me like that. I would never admit it to him, but with every passing second, I could feel the love rushing back to me. That connection that had felt strained was reinforced and reasserted.
He just felt so fucking good. And apparently, Spencer had similar thoughts in mind.
âFuck, youâre so tight,â he groaned, his head falling forward to knock our foreheads together. There was clearly so much effort going into not hurting me that I just found myself hoping he was still enjoying it. That train of thought made it more difficult when his next question came. âDoes it hurt?â
âNo, it feels so fucking good,â I sobbed, and it was the truth. My hips, though already growing tired thanks to the months of disuse, struggled to try and take more of him. And even when he was fully inside me, I still cried out to him. âPlease, Spencer!â
âBe patient,â he said with a grunt, his hips pulling back just enough for him to slam into me with more force. âIâm going to enjoy this.â
The words made a swarm of butterflies burst through my lower half that already felt so full with him. The statement just sounded so perfectly selfish in a way Iâd been dying to feel for months. I wanted him to reap the rewards heâd so obviously earned. I wanted to give them to him, really, but I just couldnât make it too easy. It wasnât our style.
âSo itâs not about taking care of me anymore, is it?â I pouted, although my lips quickly parted again as Spencer increased his pace in response.
âAre you not satisfied, little girl?â he teased, reaching up with one hand to wrap around my hair, forcing my head back among the pillows while he started to drive into me at a reckless pace. âDo you need me to fuck you harder?â
âYes!â I yelled, my hands reaching for him, digging into his skin and bringing him closer to me. âI want it. Give it to me.â
Whether he sensed the desperation in my voice or simply couldnât hold it back any longer, Spencer showed an uncharacteristic level of mercy on me. He barely protested at all before giving into my demands. Holding my head back in that same craned position, he laid sloppy kisses over my throat before whispering, âMy little girl gets whatever she wants.â
There were no more words on my mind besides his name, which I recited over and over like a prayer. Each time he filled me, my eyes could barely stay open and my lips were nearly bruised from my constant biting. It was easy to forget that the rest of the world existedâ that it was past midnight on a weeknight and everyone in the surrounding apartments would probably fucking hate us.
But Spencer didnât seem to care either. Well, thatâs a misstatement. Spencer definitely cared about my volume, but he didnât care about other people not being able to hear it. He made that quite clear when he gripped my lower jaw in one hand and pulled it down, forcing my mouth open for him.
He had that look in his eyes again. The one that told me there were entire worlds in his mind that I hadnât seen. Deeply hidden desires lurking just under the rippling surface. I wondered how far they went and just how much Spencer would hurt me if I could convince him to.
âTell me what you want,â he ordered through clenched teeth, his jaw tensed and eyes still burning. There was a hurricane happening behind those hazel rings, and I wanted him to let it out.
I didnât know how to ask him to do that; to convince him to break me even while I lay before him already broken and barely keeping it together. I did the only thing I could think to do with his hand still holding my mouth open to him and presented my tongue to him.
Spencer tried to remain composed and stoic as ever, but his body betrayed in him the same way it always did. His eyes. From the second they flickered down to see what I was asking for, his pupils blew out and swallowed the comforting toffee color of his irises.
With an even darker tone, Spencer chuckled, âYouâre a filthy, greedy bitch.â
Itâs hard to explain how much the words filled every part of my body. The way goosebumps rippled over my skin and an undeniable, almost unbearable heat burned at my face. It only got worse when Spencer finally did as I asked, gathering the saliva in his mouth just to drop it into my own.
The second it hit my tongue, I felt so irrefutably his that I was high with it. My eyes rolled to the back of my head as I swallowed between hungry gasps for air. And when it was over, I presented my tongue to him again.
I did so good, sir. Please tell me that Iâm good, sir.
There were no words, but Spencer praised me in his actions. He lowered his mouth to mine, his tongue sliding against mine until our mouths were connected in the basest manner. For all the destructive power he held, he kissed me so softly. He still kissed me like he loved me.
Neither of us lasted much longer. Spencerâs hand slid from my jaw to rest on my neck, and a moan tore through my chest. Even though he applied no pressure, the casual reminder of what he could do to me was all that I needed. I lost myself in the bliss of him, my hands tangled in his hair and holding his mouth against mine even when I couldnât kiss him anymore.
His eyes watched me, still covered in the blackness of his pupils and that animalistic desire to claim me however possible. I watched those eyes the entire time I came, wanting to both grant him the submission he deserved while also selfishly wanting to see the control I had over him, too.
Spencer kept his eyes open as he followed after me, unable to resist the calling of my body, begging him to mark, use, and fill it however he pleased. I watched his eyes roll back ever so slightly, his breath hitching as he pulsed inside me in tandem with my walls that held onto him for dear life.
I was his. I'd known that before, but how easily Iâd forgotten. How quickly Iâd let some stranger and some lead lay claim to me and make me believe that I could be anything but Spencerâs beautiful little girl.
When all semblance of fight left our bodies, Spencer still managed not to collapse on top of me. Apparently not even me letting him spit in my mouth was enough to convince him I was alright. I wrapped my arms around him and tugged him down on top of me, feeling the comfortable weight of him holding my chest down to more manageable breaths.
That was all there was for a while; our heavy breath breezing over sweat-covered skin as we lay tangled together under the sheets. I soaked in the feeling of slightly uncomfortable bliss, enjoying the way that we didnât care if it wasnât perfect because it felt close enough to us.
âI missed this,â Spencer said under his breath. It was a rare showing of selfish honestyâ the first time heâd admitted to me that he had been having to hold part of himself back for months. He hadnât been able to love me like he wanted, either. He might have been worried that I would take it the wrong way, but in reality, I had never felt so relieved to hear it.
âMe too.â I returned, trying to assuage his guilt as much as I could. I knew it wouldnât do much, but I needed him to understand how grateful I was to share the moment with him.
Then again⌠They do say that laughter is the best medicine. So with a bit of a giggle, I mumbled, âNot so much the next part, but this one, yeah.â
With a small, sleepy chuckle, Spencer slurred against the pillow, âYouâre such a romantic.â
âSays the asshole who doesnât have to get up,â I reminded him. I struggled to move underneath him as he seemed to drop even more dead weight on top of me.
Like I said: Asshole.
âI wish you didnât have to get up. I donât want to let you go yet.â
I rolled my eyes, continuing to push at his stubborn shoulders while huffing back, âItâll only be a few minutes, Spencer. The bathroom is right there.â
Nuzzling his face into my neck, he mumbled back, âToo long.â
âI can never tell if youâre more of an old man or a big baby.â
âI donât know, letâs stay here and talk about it for a long time,â he answered with a laugh. I hated the fact that I laughed too, my attempts to shove him off finally ceasing. He pulled his head back, looking at me with all the love in the world.
I wasnât ready for him to look at me like that. I couldnât explain why, but the idea of him loving me still felt so terrifying. That fear was compounded by the realization that he might see it.
âGet up, idiot,â I replied to hide that emotion. It also helped to distract me from my own thoughts, and I ended up biting on my bottom lip to stop myself from smiling. It didnât work.
âYouâre so mean to me,â Spencer whined as he slowly removed himself with a small grunt.
âOnly when you deserve it.â
Normally I would have eagerly gotten up myself, but I realized then just how painful it was to move. Spencer watched me with a massive, overwhelming guilt that formed before I could even think of how to prevent it. I decided it wasnât worth it to try. It wouldnât work. I just let him guide my legs off the bed so that I could shakily stand and shuffle off to the bathroom.
The best part about the time alone was being able to pull myself together and massage the angry scar tissue.
It wonât always be like this, I reminded myself, we can be beautiful again without it hurting.
That was the pep talk, anyway. It was the thing that got me back into the room and under the covers. Curling up by his side was like natureâs medicine. All of my muscles relaxed against him... until he turned around and ruined the perfect comfortable position.
Groaning in the least attractive manner, I pouted the entire time we readjusted. But despite my protests, Spencer looked as happy and comfortable as ever. Plopping my head back down on the pillow, I narrowed my eyes at his contemplation.
âWhat?â
âLâamor che move il sole e lâaltre stelle,â he answered, which really only led to my confused face shifting to confused and incredibly turned on again. But one word in particular sounded familiar, as reminded by Rossi earlier in the day. Or rather, the day before.
âI recognize that last word. What are you saying about me, Dr. Reid?â
âItâs the final line in Divina Commedia by Dante Alighieri.â He was doing that cryptic thing again, having apparently not learned his lesson that I would always beat the answer out of him eventually, one way or another
Through a yawn, I mumbled, âWhat is that, Danteâs Inferno?â
âWell, Inferno is the first section, but Iâm quoting Paradiso, which is the third and final installment of the overall work.â And apparently, he was also doing that thing where he taught me really interesting new things when I definitely did not have the brain capacity to understand or retain the information. We both knew I would have to Google it later, so there was no point in lingering.
âOkay, so what does it mean?â
Spencer paused, his gaze sweeping back and forth across my face like he was searching for the proper translation. Like the real answer he sought was something that could only be seen by his eyes. Eventually, he settled on a simpler and equally romantic response.
âItâs the way he describes the piece of Heaven he saw.â
But that still wasnât good enough for my constantly curious self. It might have been the brat in me, but it was almost like he was avoiding the direct translation. Like I wasnât smart enough to come to my own conclusion about it. âIâm going to keep asking until you answer me,â I droned, more reminiscent of a nagging two year old rather than a twenty year old.Â
âSpoiled,â he remarked, lightly tapping on my nose before he sighed. âIt means âthe love which moves the sun and the other stars.ââ
I thought about the words for a minute. Or rather, I thought about trying to think about the words. Unfortunately, my exhaustion and blissed-out brain got the better of me, and the beautiful words whispered, in English this time, went in one ear and out the other. Spencer was giving me a smug little smile, like he could see my cluelessness written on my face.
âI like the Heaven explanation better,â I sneered, trying not to let him win this one just yet. But it was obvious from the way his smile grew that heâd already won.Â
âYeah, I knew you would. You just had to keep asking.â
Snaking my hand around his waist, I pulled myself flush against him. âIâm a very curious kitten, Dr. Reid,â I purred, gently rubbing our noses together in a very successful attempt to distract him from gloating.Â
And in a brief flash of self-awareness, I realized how utterly normal I felt. It wasnât just average; unlike the domestic moments weâd shared over the recovery, this one felt so... natural. There was nothing foreign about his hand on the small of my back, and the rhythm his fingertips tapped felt like a lullaby Iâd heard a million times before.
âI wouldnât want you any other way,â Spencer whispered, breaking me from the brief aside and back into the present.Â
âIâm pretty sure youâd have me in any form.â I didnât laugh yet, but once Spencer joined in, there was no hope left for me.
âYeah, probably, but you donât have to point it out!â he whined.
I watched as the color started to form on his face, first starting with his ears and nose before spreading out across his cheeks. That blush, still visible in the dim light, was still one of the most beautiful things in the world to me. I never tired of it. Paired with his embarrassed giggles mingled with my own, I felt the undeniable and overwhelming emotion that could only be described as âlove.â
When the laughter finally ceased, it was just the two of us in silence again, although now we were so close together that we might as well have been one person. It felt that way sometimes. Not like one might thinkâ it was not the supposedly romantic but strangely depressing idea that we arenât whole without another. It was more like knowing that I would never be more myself than I was when I was in his arms.
Comfortable. Safe. At home.
âSpencer?â I spoke before he could fully close his eyes that he somehow kept open for me.Â
âWhatâs up?â
âThank you.â
That seemed to wake him up, which was not at all my intention. In fact, I'd hoped he wouldnât respond at all and let the words stand. But he must have heard the hidden message behind it, the fear that all good things must come to an end.
âFor what?â he asked. His hand on my back started to make soothing strokes under the negligee, reasserting his presence with me.
I considered answering. I thought about word vomiting all of my fears of inadequacy and broken promises and a future of settling for me. But I couldnât. I couldnât ruin the moment with such stupid things. The feelings would pass with enough time, right? I didnât want to bother him with it. I didnât even know if the problems were problems at all.
âI just wanted you to know that Iâm happy and I love you,â I said, instead.
Spencer still saw that I was hiding something, but we were both too tired to push it. We could always talk about it in the morning if we remembered, which I was hoping we wouldnât.
âI wish I could help you understand how much I love you,â he murmured, removing his hand from my back to trace my jaw. âI can tell you that I want to marry you and raise a family with you but⌠I donât think itâs enough.
My stomach immediately dropped. It fell so hard that I actually flinched from his hand, my face twisting into an even more obvious grimace. If my hope was for Spencer to sleep, Iâd made a grave error. He immediately shot up onto his arm, cupping my face and inspecting my eyes for any persisting sign of pain.
âWhatâs wrong?â he pressed, his eyes bouncing back and forth between my stomach and eyes. âAre you okay?â
âNothing is wrong!â I squeaked, my hands flying to his shoulders to pull him back down. âIâm fine. Iâm just tired.â
Our eyes locked in a challenge; a silent back and forth of wills and pleas. And eventually, Spencer started to lower back on the pillow. Heâd let me win this one.
âIt is past your bedtime,â he said with only a whisper of defeat in his voice.
âItâs past every normal human beingâs bedtime, Spencer,â I said before turning away from him in the hope that it would make that concern in his eyes hurt less. It didnât.
âAnd you think Iâm the old man,â he joked back, snuggling up behind me and sighing into my neck as his hand rested on my hip. âGoodnight, little girl.â
So soon after he spoke, he was already asleep. Unfortunately, it wasnât so simple for me. Even in his sleep, Spencerâs hands found their way to my stomach. His fingers spread over the expanse of skin like the scars didnât exist at all. Like it was just as perfect a placement for him to hold onto me as it ever was before. Spencer had a tendency to hold me with so much love that I no longer felt capable of containing it.
It was... suffocating. It took my mind back to images of his blood soaked hands in much of the same position. His hands felt foreign again, and I felt even further away. Like Spencer wasnât actually there, and neither was I. All that he was holding onto was memory instead of me.
He said he loved me, but he didnât say why. The only answers my mind would consider were things that had already died months ago. Things that his hands and kisses couldn't fix.
I couldnât ask him why. I was too afraid of the answer.

72 for Hotchniss but can you include the team too? Maybe encouraging Em? đ
Sorry this wasnât as much of the team as I was planning, but it's already too long to be considered a drabble lol. Hope you still like this!
72 âAh, heâs playing hard-to-get. thatâs cute.â
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: Smut, oral, Emily thinking that sheâs in charge when we all know that Hotch is.
Whenever Aaron and Emily fought they tried their absolute hardest not to alert anyone on the team. It was one thing arguing and screaming at home, quite another to do it at work. They had both agreed very early on that at the office, they were colleagues first, lovers second, it was the way it had to be for it to work. And it did, 99% of the time no one would ever guess that they were together, but that other 1%, that was what drove Emily absolutely crazy.
âWhy are you fighting with Hotch?â Dave asked casually, his cup of coffee in hand as he leaned against her desk.
âWeâre not fighting.â She told him quietly and she ignored the way the older man all but huffed at her.
âI didnât say that you were, I asked why you are fighting with Hotch.â He gave her one of his knowing smiles when she turned in her chair to face him fully. âAaron doesnât argue at the office, but you, my dear, have a temper.â The eyeroll he got in return made him chuckle.
âWe have a case.â JJ interrupted the pair before she could give Dave a piece of her mind and with a heavy sigh she got up and followed him to the round table room.
That night in the lobby of their hotel in New York JJ approached her with her bag thrown around her shoulder.
âSo Hotch just informed me that Iâm rooming with you, everything alright?â Her blue eyes watched as Emilyâs darkened.
âWeâre in the middle of a fight, I guess he knows that Iâll go off on him if we share.â She started to walk toward the elevator with the blonde.
âThat doesnât seem like Hotch.â She pressed the button for the elevator just in time to see Emily draw a deep breath.
âHe also knows that the second Iâm done screaming at him Iâll be fucking his brains out.â The dirty look Emily sent JJ caused the blonde to let out a sound of disbelief.
âEmily!â She chastised with a grin of her own just as the doors opened and they got in.
âWhat can I say, itâs hot.â The brunette shrugged as she pressed to button to their floor. âBut he made this whole speech the other night about not using the fact that he canât say no to me against him, so now heâs keeping his distance.â
âAh, heâs playing hard-to-get. Thatâs cute.â JJ knew that Emily had their boss wrapped around her finger, not that heâd ever admit that. But he was so deeply in love that he probably wouldnât deny her anything and she also knew that Emily was too stubborn to let him get the best of her.
What JJ didnât know was that Aaron had Emily just as wrapped around his own pinkie, just in another way.
âExactly.â
âYou know what, I think Aaron is sharing a room with Spence.â Emily watched as JJ picked up her phone âIâll just room with him and you can go to Hotchâs, get this whole thing over with.â Emily was about to shake her head no when she continued. âHonestly heâs being such an ass because youâre fighting that itâll help the entire team.
How was Emily supposed to argue with that?
Aaron came into his room not too long after the rest of the team. He was not looking forward to a sleepless night with nothing but Daveâs snoring to keep him company. But then he walked into the room and was somehow not surprised when he found Emily on his bed, dressed in one of his shirt that she had now claimed as hers and nothing else.
âJJ.â She told him easily before he had the chance to ask and he sighed.
âI donât want to fight.â He told her quietly as he put his briefcase down and removed his suit jacket.
âI donât either, I want to fuck.â She leaned back on her hands and spread her legs wide, showing her creamy thighs and a peak of her naked center.
âEmily, no.â He tried to ignore the fact that his cock was already twitching at the sight. âI told you, we canât have sex every time we have an argument.â
âItâs not every time.â She gave him an eyeroll as she got up from the bed, closing in on him slowly. Emily gripped his tie and pulled him down closer to her, her lips barely grazing his âIs it my fault that I want you?â She breathed against his lips, her eyes on his.
âEmilyâŚâ He knew he would lose to her; he always did when she was like this. His hands gripped her naked hips and rubbed absentmindedly. âWe still have to talk about this.â Aaron closed his eyes as she kissed his jaw, down his neck, soft kisses against his skin that made him shudder.
âWe will, when we get home.â She promised against his ear as her fingers started to work on the buttons of his shirt. She could feel him straining inside his pants, press against her as his hands moved up her body, dragging the shirt with him in the process. She knew she had him when he gripped the back of her neck and kissed with a low growl, easily taking his control back.
Aaron moved her toward the bed, threw her shirt away as they went. Her hands had already gotten the buttons of his shirt undone and was working on getting his pants off as she sat down on the soft bed. She dragged his pants and boxers down his hips and was almost slapped in the face by his hard cock, a low moan escaping her lips as she took in the sight if him, thick and hot in her hand.
He fisted her hair and angled her face to look up at him as she took him in her mouth. Her soft lips wrapped around the head and then her tongue pressed against the underside of his shaft, making him groan. She sucked him eagerly, taking as much as she could down her throat as she watched the pleasure on his face. Her hand gently tugged and massaged his balls, knew how much he loved when she did that. She could feel the tears in her eyes as she gagged on him, his hips thrusting shallowly against her face and forcing her to take more of him.
She pressed her own fingers between her legs, her clit aching and she moaned softly around him, the vibrations from her throat making Aaron hiss in pleasure.
âYou want me to fuck you?â He groaned when he saw her hand between her legs, her fingers wet in the light of the room. When she nodded, cock still in her mouth he let go of her hair and pushed her down on the bed. She spread her legs wide and with a slow push he pressed inside of her.
He found her clit and rubbed it with his thumb as he found a rhythm. He fucked her with long, deep strokes that pushed her entire body up the bed. She was gripping the comforter, a string of breathless moans and whimpers leaving her lips until he could feel the familiar feeling of her clenching around him.
âYou want to cum?â It was rhetorical, he loved knowing that no matter how much she wanted to be in control, when they were screwing he was the one in charge. Aaron watched as she nodded, his name a plea.
âAaron, yes please.â Her back arched as he pressed against her clit harder, changed the angle of his thrusts just a tiny bit and then she was cuming, her whole world blurring. She buckled against him, rode the pleasurable wave for as long as possible and when he came inside of her she could feel another wave of bliss run through her at the warm feeling inside of her. She sighed happily as he leaned over her, kissed him as the last of his orgasm crashed through him.
âIâm still mad at you.â He muttered but his words were laced with affection.
âI know.â She assured with a gentle smile as she stroked the back of his neck affectionally.
