Connected with my coworkers who are Muslim (they were gone Wednesday and Thursday) because I was made aware of Eid Mubarak via the Spongebob IG page
Time to go rub it in the face of my sister who thinks Spongebob will rot your brain but is fine with REN AND STIMPY
#this isn’t meant to come across as a /diversity win!/ kind of thing#just kind of funny where I learned about why they were out#i have another religious coworker who is evidently into fox news but she was mad they took the two days off#she didn’t seem to understand 1) it was a sincerely held religious belief as they had been diligent about fasting even during the work day#and 2) since they’re contracted workers they didn’t get paid for those days off#if said coworker wants to take any holidays pertaining to her religion off she is more than welcome to ask#if she could stop dumping far right BS like ‘there’s a caucasian island��� on me that’d be great#because i REALLY don’t want to have to involve my boss or HR
