Shadow Milk can't remember the last time he felt regret. Has he ever? Fear, certainly. Rage? Countless times. But regret? He can't seem to recall a time he ever had, until now.

Floating lazily above Pure Vanilla's bed, he quietly hums a tune. A small doll, half-complete, dangles in the air as he works on adding its vanilla petal hair. Beneath him, Pure Vanilla slumbers, unaware of his presence. 

It's the middle of the night, and the palace is quiet. Moonlight streams through the windows, casting his muse in a gentle halo. It’s far better than the sunlight, unabashed and loud in its presence; yes, moonlight is far better. Darkness is best, but that isn't an option right now. There is work to be done, and redecorating his new abode isn't a high priority right now.

Stealing another glance for reference, he stitches the petals to the doll's head with a reverence that would disgust him if it were anyone else. Here, in the quiet and the calm, he can relax the chaotic energies that drive him and focus on his craft. Certainly, he could simply create a doll with his powers, a meaningless puppet that would dissipate at will. But this, something tangible that he's made with his own hands? This gives a sense of satisfaction unlike any other.

Getting to watch over Pure Vanilla is a simple bonus, a small treat for his hard work.

He's just finished stitching on the final petal when Pure Vanilla stirs. He jolts, drifting into the shadows like second nature, and silences his little tune. Fortunately, his quarry doesn't awaken. Unfortunately, he does something worse.

Pure Vanilla groans, clutching at his chest through his pajama shirt. His legs kick aimlessly under the covers, and his face grows strained. Even his staff, leaning against his bedside table, begins to twitch and shudder. 

Shadow Milk drifts out of the shadows, floating closer and tilting his head. A dream, perhaps? Certainly not a good one.

Pure Vanilla whimpers.

Shadow Milk jolts, floating backwards a few inches. He'd never expected such a pathetic, weak sound to come from such a man. He's seen his tears before, but he's never heard such a sound come from him before.

Already, he can see the tears beading on Pure Vanilla's lashes, and his struggle grows more frantic.

“No… No, no…” 

Shadow Milk drifts down and plops himself next to Pure Vanilla, figuring it's better to wake him up now instead of let this nightmare play out. He reaches out to shake his shoulder, and--

“Please, not this- Don't- Don't show me this-!” 

He pauses, a frown tugging at his own face. A nightmare about him? He withdraws his hand, crossing his arms.

Pure Vanilla is pale now, gasping frantically. “I won't ignore-- I'll listen-! Please-!” He chokes on a sob, writhing in what seems like pain.

It feels like he's been punched in the gut. He knows now what he's having a nightmare about. An instance early in their meeting, when Pure Vanilla - at the time, Truthless Recluse - had refused to acknowledge him and his incredible hosting skills. He was crueler then, far less patient and completely unempathetic.

He can still remember Pure Vanilla's face when the gore of seeing his maimed friends had caused him to vomit. He had laughed then, laughed at his suffering and his tears. Laughed for how easily he caved under the suffering of others, and laughed at how much work was to be done to teach him.

He can't find any humor in the memory.

He reaches out once more, frantically shaking Pure Vanilla's shoulders. “Hey, ‘Nilly!” He calls, brushing some of his hair out of his tear-stained face. “Wake up! Hey, hey! Come on now, get up!” He tries to smile, but it's strained. His voice grows high and brittle with growing panic. He can't let this keep going. He's made so much progress, gotten so much better. What if he doesn't want him around after remembering what he did?

Guilt feels like ice water pooling in his insides, but also like acid burning in his heart. He almost wants to stop, to run away. But he'd learned, from Pure Vanilla nonetheless, that it wouldn't fix anything to run.

Pure Vanilla shoots up with a gasp, still grasping at his crumpled pajamas. Unfeeling eyes snap open, as does the eye on his staff. His arm is tangled in the sheets, and he lets out a frantic cry as he tries to get free. 

“Hey! You're okay! ‘Nilly, calm down!” He pleads, easily slicing away the sheet. Shadows answer his call, pressing Pure Vanilla's staff into his hands. He just hopes it's enough to help anchor him. He rests his hand on Pure Vanilla's heaving back, but he flinches away.

“No, please, I--” Pure Vanilla clambers backwards, closer to the edge of the bed, and stops just short of falling off. Suddenly, his hands fly to his mouth with a grunt, and Shadow Milk barely has enough time to usher a bucket into place before Pure Vanilla vomits. He gropes for the edges of it, and Shadow Milk pats his back once more. This time he doesn't flinch.

“That's it, get it all out. It's okay.” He murmurs, forcing an uncharacteristic softness into his voice. Once Pure Vanilla stops, he dismisses the bucket and grabs a rag through a small portal, beginning to clean up his face. “You're safe now, you're not-” He stops short, clears his throat, and tosses the soiled rag aside. “Not in that place.” 

Silence consumes them, and Shadow Milk cringes at the awkwardness. Pure Vanilla just had a nightmare about his time in the Spire, his time being tortured at Shadow Milk's own hands. And here he is, helping him recover from it. He ushers Pure Vanilla back to his former spot, fishing out a softer cloth to dab at the sweat on his forehead.

Again, neither of them speak, but Pure Vanilla doesn't ask him to leave, doesn't shudder at his very presence. So he cleans him up, then pats his head.

“All done. I'll leave you be now--”

A hand darts out and grabs his sleeve. “Stay! Stay. Please.” Pure Vanilla begs. His eyes are closed again, but his staff's eye is fixed on Shadow Milk. “I don't- I don't want to-”

“It's okay. I know. I'll stay.” He sits at the foot of the bed, facing Pure Vanilla. He wouldn't have wanted to be alone after that either. 

I'm sorry. The words are on the tip of his tongue, but he can't force them out. They're the right words, the only words he can think to say, and he can't make himself utter them. Maybe it's his pride, maybe it's his shame.

Pure Vanilla's deep, meditative breaths are the only sounds that fill the room. It stays that way for what must have only been five minutes, but it feels like an eternity to Shadow Milk.

He opens his mouth to say something else, anything else, but Pure Vanilla beats him to it.

“It was you this time.” He whispers.

Shadow Milk scowls. He knows it was him. It's always him. He's the one who did it.

“They- You-” Pure Vanilla sniffles, rubs at his eyes once, and exhales. “You screamed so much.”

“I… what?”

“There was so much blood, and you were just… Calling out to me. And I couldn't move. I wanted to help, but I couldn't.” Pure Vanilla lowers his head. Seeing his face like this, twisted in pain and guilt, when he should never had felt that way, tugs at Shadow Milk's chest. “I'm sorry. I'm such a coward, I should have--”

“Okay, pause. ‘Nilly, what are you talking about?” He interrupts, scooting closer. He reaches out, takes Pure Vanilla's chin in a gentle hold, and lifts his head. Deftly, he swipes under his eyes with his thumbs, coaxing more tears into falling so that he can brush them away. “You were having a nightmare, right? About… About the Spire. What I did to your friends, what I made you see… Right?”

Pure Vanilla melts into his hand. He sets his staff aside with practiced ease and shuffles a bit closer. His arm brushes Shadow Milk's leg and stays there, seeking its warmth. He can feel Pure Vanilla's hands tremble, but doesn't say anything.

Pure Vanilla shakes his head, loosing a wet laugh. “No, it was you. You were dying. I don't know how, but-” His smile drops in an instant, and his lip wobbles. “I couldn't help you. You were in so much pain, and I--”

“I'm fine, ‘Nilly. Everything is okay. No one can hurt me, ‘member?” He pats Pure Vanilla's cheeks. “It was just a nightmare.”

“I know, but-”

“No buts.” He smiles. “Dreams are crazy. Don't read too much into it. I've even had crazy dreams, like one time I had this dream where--”

He rambles on, spinning tales of whacky adventures and strange phenomena, refusing to let Pure Vanilla talk about his nightmare again. It'll fade with time. Memories are fickle like that, especially dreams.

An hour later, as he glances at Pure Vanilla again, he sees that the man has grown still amongst his pillows. He smiles, tugging the blankets up to his chin. “Sleep tight, sweet ‘Nilly.” He whispers. He pauses for a moment, double checking to make sure he's really asleep, before he leans down and presses his lips to Pure Vanilla's forehead. 

He drifts upwards, floating above his bed again, this time to keep vigil.

He'd tortured him. There was no other word for it. He'd tried to drive him insane, and here he was, having nightmares about Shadow Milk suffering. He grabs at his chest, where his soul jam sings at its proximity to its other half. Maybe it's just because they share a fundamental piece of themselves. Yeah, that's probably why. If Shadow Milk dies, it's probably going to affect Pure Vanilla. It makes sense that he would be scared of Shadow Milk dying.

It's a lie, and he knows it, but it's easier than accepting the truth of the matter. 

Pure Vanilla cares about Shadow Milk just as much as anyone else, probably more, and he's starting to feel the same way.

He huffs, grabs his doll, and begins work on it once more, stealing glances at Pure Vanilla more often now. He tells himself he's not checking on him, he just needs a reference, but that's a lie, too.

tumblr in reddit terms

blogs: personal subreddits where the theme/topic is 99% of the time just “me and whatever the hell i feel like at the moment”. for reference, the most common other theme rn is “wizard roleplay that never breaks character”

reblogs: crossposts. these are crucial to maintaining tumblr’s ecosystem. due to blogs generally having fewer followers than subreddits have subscribers, this is the way that posts get seen and passed around. the vast majority of posts on a person’s blog tend to be reblogs, so if the people you follow dont reblog a whole lot, your dashboard is gonna be a ghost town. post limit (combined total of reblogs and original posts per day) is 250, so feel free to go hog wild

tags: this one is complicated. theyre a combination of flairs and Comments But Low-key. you can use them for organization and to avoid seeing content you dont want to (go to your blog, settings, account settings, content you see, and then add tags you want tumblr to warn you about before seeing it). if op tags the post #reddit (in the tags, not the body of the post), itll show up in the #reddit tag when anyone searches that tag. tags are also used for comments that dont really add anything to the post. you know how a jpeg gets kinda gross when its been through a million screenshots and has ifunny watermarks and shit? thats what adding “lmao same” as a comment does to a post. comments stay on reblogs, while tags show up in 4 places: op’s notifications, the notifs of whoever you reblogged it from, when someone clicks on the “notes” button of a post and actively looks for the tags left on it, and when people view your specific reblog of the post (like a follower would on their dashboard)

likes: upvotes but weaker. almost everyone turns off all the algorithms (settings, account settings, dashboard preferences, toggle off the first 3 options. also, make sure your dashboard is on "following" and not "for you". this is highly recommended), so leaving a like doesnt boost the post in any way. they still matter to some people. you can also use them to bookmark a post and go back to your likes later

enthusiastic and/or hyperbolic tags: reddit gold. you wanna let op know you like their art? leave something like ”#printing this out and stapling it to my forehead #op you wanna get married?” in the tags

pornbots: both reddit and tumblr have an issue with them. we block and report them on sight. they usually have hot women as their icons, no posts or reblogs, and a description like “22, brazil, nurse <3″. try to not look like that if you dont wanna get blocked by everyone you follow

blocking: you have this as well, but it seems like a bigger deal on reddit. the reason we are not twitter is because we block bitches who annoy us and move on with our day. do not feed the trolls

karma: clout-chasing is The Most embarrassing thing you can possibly do on this site. we are all in this circus together and the clown who gets the most laughs is still a clown. popular users will literally deactivate sometimes because clout is a burden. no one here makes money

Ok but i really need to know what people have against aroace characters? Like theres nothing wrong with any character being aroace but for some reason it just causes others to be so upset and for what? Ive seen it with mostly One Piece and The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Luckily havent seen it as much with Dr.STONE or at least on tumblr. The number of people ive blocked on tiktok for getting upset about Senku being CANONICALLY aroace is ridiculous. But yeah can someone just explain this to me? Cause aroace exist and we do deserve to have our representation in media and not in the "oh im rude because im aroace and thats my only personality" way. But in a way where we ardnt dehumanized for not feeling romantic or sexual attraction.

I just recently got into the Old Republic Fandom, and the Eternal Empire is my favorite arc. I do wish there was more story content to give more development to the characters, particularly in Arcann's case. While I love his romance scenes, I wish there were more scenes about his redemption and relationship with the Outlander or a dark side ending where the Outlander or Arcann takes the throne with the other as a consort. I found your blog while trying to find content further developing his character. Thank you so much for posting all your headcanons and musings!

With that being said, what are your headcanons for Zakuul culture? And could you post a masterpost compilation of your Arcann headcanons? I am trying to find the post where the romance novels headcanon originated in the tags and not having much luck.

Hi anon!! Sorry for a late reply. First I’ll answer the second part of your message. The romance holonovels headcanon originated from the this post ; the post doesn’t outright say it, but some people in the tags (when they reblogged it) mentioned that Arcann probably seemed like the type to read romance in his free time. As of what I can remember the tags were from this reblog and this other reblog and both say that Arcann reads romance holonovels. The continuation of this headcanon were in replies or tags, so it’s hard to track them all down! Secondly, my Arcann tag is a mess, and I probably threw in multiple headcanons in reblogs or tags so it would be hard to find them all... I’ll think about making a masterpost, but I don’t think I have time for something like that right now. Ok, now that’s over with... I 100% agree with you, anon! I HAVE so many things to say about the possibility about that dark side ending. I don’t think devs were planning to make Arcann a possible romance option in the beginning, so it wouldn’t have been possible to be his LI and rule as emperor/empress. I also agree with the development of the characters... however, Arcann’s redemption and relationship with the Outlander was definitely rushed, because the plans to make a third expansion was apparently cancelled due to the backlash from fans who wanted pub vs. imp back. I made a whole post complaining about that... Otherwise, I definitely think they would have had more time to flesh out his characters and the other Zakuulan characters as well (Vaylin, Senya, Koth, etc.). I’m like pretty much sure content was cut out from KOTFE/KOTET to make them shorter. Due to such lost content, I have to create my headcanons from extrapolation based on the Sacrifice trailer, available codex entries, existing dialogue, and implications of existing issues. As well as other people’s hcs and commentary!! WARNING: SUPER LONG BULLET POINTS for Zakuulan culture headcanons.

The reason why I don’t have that many Zakuulan culture headcanons is because.... I feel like it’s so weirdly explored in the expansions.

I think the arts is a big thing in Zakuul! The Dragon’s Maw chapter gave me that kind of vibe. I also discussed this mildly (not) with Arcann. Most specifically THEATRE, PERFORMANCE AND SINGING. 

Evidence: Senya sings and composes and there’s the famous Zakuulan holoperformer, Malita Tal. No, I don’t have evidence for theatre, but honestly? Zakuulans are so goddamn dramatic, they most definitely have reality TV series or drama series... 

arcann be like oh you listen to malita tal? name all of her albums in alphabetical order or you get exiled

Zakuulan culture most definitely has idol culture, based on Malita Tal (and reportedly her performances were watched by millions). And those fans apparently also protested against Arcann’s rule. personally i think if they had twitter the u.s. gov*rnment would be wiped out.

I just think singing is a big thing in Zakuulan culture. I mean, even Valkorion sings (if you decide to kill Senya, his force ghost appears. They both have an exchange and it’s actually sweet for like 0.1 second). 

I also think there would be typical Zakuulan fairytales embedded in the culture. Hear me out. Most specifically those type of royal fairytales with the princes and princesses. This can be heavily contributed to the fact that a royal family is essentially in power. 

You cannot expect me to believe not a single person in Zakuul has written a Prince Arcann x reader holofic. You just can’t. Or Prince Thexan. Actually, I think Thexan would be more common, I think he was perceived to be more compassionate and kind compared to Arcann by the common folk? Since I know there’s that NPC dialogue where one of them goes how different it would be if Thexan took the throne instead. 

The fairytales would probably involve a lot of references to the Old Gods. I kinda imagine that the enemy would be some sort of serpent, that is, Zildrog, because apparently he’s just a bedtime story to scare children away. 

I think these Zakuulan fairy tales would contribute to the theatre and performance, acting culture that Zakuul has. 

Furthermore, I just think the Tirall kids probably read these fairytales as well. francis dont talk about arcann reading again

I want to talk about the Old Gods and that religion, which is one of my favorite things ever... probably because the Gods are machines. Superweapon machines... ok ill shut up

Even if Valkorion basically got rid of the religion, it’s clear that the religion is still incorporated into heavy talk in Zakuulan culture (e.g. eyes of Esne, heart of Scyva). 

My headcanon is that there are sanctuaries or small secret churches (?) for those who want to worship the Old Gods. Obviously the Herald of Zildrogs who believe in the Old Way are a cult, so I think people would look for an alternative. 

I think there would be great effort to hide these places, as it can get you exiled. Thus these would probably be located in the Old World, rather than in a more obvious position like the Spire. 

The beliefs of the Old Ways isn’t exactly clear, they aren’t exactly touched upon, which is a shame. I think people would ask for help from each of these gods depending on what they want.

Those who ask for Izax�� guidance want to seek success, accomplishments, power, and glory.

Those who ask for Scyva’s guidance ask for her to guide souls peacefully to death (she is described as someone who weeps beside Zakuulans as they march towards Izax - basically death) , or ask for help/compassion from her. Maybe maternity as well? Or parental love?

Those who ask for Aivela (goddess of passion) want her to guide them with her passion (Aivela accompanies Tyth, who is kind of a god of war/warrior). I think there would also be romance related stuff as well. If someone asked for help regarding their love related issues, it would probably be from Aivela!

I’m not sure about Esne - but maybe in a similar sense, if someone is suffering with jealousy - in any situation, they would ask guidance from her. I don’t know where I read this but I think the “eyes of Esne” expression meant like having eyes of jealousy.

Nahut? I don’t think he was worshipped.  “Nahut was considered to be gray, formless and cold, and was denied worship by all except his mother Scyva.” But regardless, I think he still had a role to play. 

After the Outlander takes the throne, and Zakuul renounces their membership from the Eternal Alliance, I think people would be allowed to openly express their religious beliefs, that is, the Old Ways. Oh, personally I headcanon that they would build beautiful places of worship in the Spire with similar geometrical pyramid designs...!! 

Yeah...I think that’s all I got! I’ll need to see how I can somehow make this post easily found, lol. This is quite a long list, and I have to emphasize that these are my headcanons! They are based on what I see and I just kind of fill in the gaps to fit my own stories. This took a while to write because I KNEW I had these headcanons, but they just didn’t appear at the time I saw this anon ask. Anyways, I’ll probably create more headcanons in the future. Also:

I have so many things to say about this. I know the game won’t permit it, because if you think about it, both the light side choice (Eternal Alliance) and the dark side choice (Eternal Empire) are happy endings for your characters anyways. They can continue as the “hero” or the “protagonist”, so I don’t think this route could ever be implemented. However, I think it would be absolutely interesting if throughout the gameplay, players are given a choice to flirt with Arcann. The Outlander and Arcann agree to get rid of Valkorion, but thats if the Outlander decides to betray the Alliance and joins Arcann instead. And should they join him, they have the choice to romance him... and I guess it’s a happy ending for you both :P Obviously this won’t happen, but maybe it will. I wouldn’t mind being the prince consort of Arcann lol idk! me and vaylin are gonna be besties and we’ll paint each others nails or something Oh and have a nice day too anon...!!

So... I'm not kinda new to the community of dxlg/ddlg/agere/agedre

So... like... I got into the "ddlg" community bc my therapist thought it would be a good idea to help me deal with my trauma. What he actually was introducing me to was agere/agedre. It wasn't a k!nk thing, just for trauma and sometimes I cant control it. (My brain. Kinda forces me into little space and I get super overwhelmed with adult stuff while I'm in little space)

For the sake of clarity I’m gonna define a few terms before continuing just to make sure we are all on the same page:

ddlg: An NSFW kink community for adults. Stands for Daddy Dom Little Girl and involves a BDSM power dynamic between a Dom and a Sub.

Your sex life and your regression are separate from one another and as such, his roles are separate from one another as well. 

As for the blogs, it’s good that you keep the NSFW and SFW separate! Just as the blogs are separate it is best to also keep who you follow separate. In other words, follow NSFW/non-agere or agedre blogs on your NSFW blog and use the SFW blog to follow agere or agedre blogs. It sounds like you are doing a great job at being careful to not trigger or harm anyone, but be sure you’re not accidentally cross tagging posts as it can be confusing to know which tags are safe and which aren’t! Here’s a link to a guide on cross tagging and how to avoid it

As for the DNIs, it is very common for a blog to say “DNI k!nk NSFW” or something similar. In general, this usually means that NSFW or kink blogs can not follow or interact with them. However, some people do not want a person following them if they are in kink at all, even if their blog is not related to kink. When in doubt it is best to ask the blog owner! 

DNIs often include a lot of acronyms which can be pretty confusing if you’ve never seen them before, so here are a few ones commonly found in DNIs!

MAP: Minor Attracted Person, another term for a p*dophile.

(NO)MAP: (Non-Offending) Minor Attracted Person, a p*dophile who has not acted on their urges.

P.E.A.R.: Pro-Expression Anti-Repression, another term for a p*dophile.

MIK: Minor in Kink, a person under 18 who participates in kink or BDSM.

NMIK: No Minor in Kink, this means a person does not want minors in kink interacting with their blog, commonly found in the bio of gear shops and regression shops alike

ALM: All Lives Matter, the opposition movement to Black Lives Matter.

If you find a DNI with an acronym you don’t recognise you can always ask the blog owner what it means! If you have any acronyms in mind that I didn’t answer feel free to send another ask or a message and I will do my best to help define it.

I hope I’ve answered your questions or helped to clear up some confusion! Anyone who says that you can not be a regressor if you are also ddlg is wrong. As long as you and your partner are consenting adults and you are not participating in kink while regressed then it is perfectly okay! I used to go down the very generic goodie two shoes hero route for my Sonic interpretation but now I like to write him more as a bit of selfish thrill chaser with a heart of gold. He’s a good guy deep in his heart, but he will be rude to your character and come off as kind of aloof and too cool for you. That’s kind of his deal.

One sure way to know if he likes your character or not is to see if he’s picking on them. He teases people he really likes, especially if he has deeper feelings for them. He has a more neutral reaction to people he’s not really friendly with and he deliberately tries to really anger the people he hates.

How insane is it that something as simple as a show can bring two people like us together. 21 yo mark lee used to be one of the top hockey stars of the country. but then, one game changed everything. losing that match made him lose his chance for the olympics team, his spot as captain of the hockey team and his mind. depressed and demoralized, he swears he’s never gonna play hockey again. until one day life gives him a second chance: he’s hit by a car but rather than dying, he wakes up in 1995 (25 years before) as 18 yo Mark Lee, captain of the hs hockey team.

obviously, he doesnt rmbr anything of his life in the 90s, as all his memories are from his 2020 life. however he still remembers how to play hockey + he has the skills of 2020 mark (aka better than 1995 mark)

at first he thinks it’s a dream so he starts acting out on purpose thinking none of it will have repercussions (e.g. he skips cool, sets fire to smth, etc. lol). BUT in a dream he’s visited by his old hockey coach (from 2020) who tells him this is his second chance and he shouldnt waste it.

hes still on the fence tho abt it not being a dream, so he tries to go find his parents w hyuck and jeno (since he has a car) (the bffs of 1995 mark). he finds out his parents dont exist in that timeline -> he doesnt know who he is anymore

so they go drink lol and mark tells them everything. they think hes crazy but believe him kinda -> they tell him if thats true, shouldnt it mean he shouldnt waste this chance?

so they go back for a hockey match -> mark’s first match in 1995. they win a match thanks to mark! mark decides hes gonna try and live this life

his gf (the gf of 1995 mark) obviously wants to go out w him but he doesnt know her lol so he asks her out on a date -> for him its the first date bcs in 2020 he was always too focused on hockey and never got to date. (he was in love with Y but never had the guts to ask her out)

they have a good time and when they say goodnight she kisses him on the cheek <3 and tells him to score for her the next day in the match. he does!

the story proceeds where he keeps playing and winning and going on dates lol

however X in his team wants to take his spot as captain. he thinks its weird how mark suddenly got so good, so he thinks hes using drugs. BUT he doesnt find any in his locker obviously so he plants some in his bag so the coach will find them -> he does and gets mad and eliminates mark from the hockey team

mark tries to find his place now that hes not on the team anymore -> he :(

his coach appears in his dreams again and tells him to get his shit together SO with hyuck and jeno he tries to figure out where the drugs are from (X). they find the evidence but mark finds out that if he exposes X, X will be expelled from school and will get in so much trouble (more than what mark got).

SO he says nothing about that BUT he still manages to prove the drugs werent his (without blaming X) SO he’s admitted back in the team BUT not as captain

he suddenly notices he’s forgetting memories of his 2020 life -> he feels guilty bcs hes happy there

he meets girl who looks just like Y (his love from 2020) -> shes a figure skater (ice)

hes confused bcs he doesnt know his feelings anymore -> gf sees it and starts acting cold bcs she thinks he should date Y since they have more in common ->  he doesn’t understand it tho

the final match of the year which will determine the hs team that will have a chance to try for the olympic team (aka the national competition) is approaching

the night before the match he goes to her and like apologizes or smth -> they kith <3 and they win the match!

they go to a school dance and he tells his gf that he loves her BUT as they’re walking home she almost gets hit by a car BUT he pushes her away and gets hit instead

he wakes up from the accident in 2020 in his bed aka a day before the match that once cost him the chance to go to the olympics -> he thinks 1995 was all a dream

BUT before the match as hes changing he finds a polaroid he took in 1995 w gf on their first date -> he’s happy and also sad

he wins the match and is admitted onto the olympic team!!! + after the match he meets a girl who looks just like gf and asks her out!!!
