reading Detransition, Baby (torrey peters the woman that you are. as always) which is 1) incredible and 2) weirdly solidifies my impression that i, for some reason, relate more to the transfem kind of experience than the "typical" transmasc experiences i've read or heard about. it's (among other things) about the Shame and the desperate craving to belong with the girls but like in a möbius strip kinda way

Very Tangibly Different.#this is most likely why it took me so long!#obviously not claiming i am a trans woman or know what it's like to experience transmisogyny but these descriptions are like. damn!#my thing is that i very much wanted to be a girl and tried so FUCKING hard for so long and i eventually gave up and now i'm better.#but it's not like i *dreamed* of being a man. i dreamed of being a girl which; obviously #wouldnt have made any sense to anyone. some sort of paradox series firing up in every direction
