I can't stop having Jade thoughts so I'm gonna throw them at you.

I know people have talked about PTM yuu playing into Jade's dirty thoughts to get a rise out of him, but I really just... I can stop thinking of Yuu just giving Jade sudden and subtle compliments. Like they hear his thoughts and there's an insecurity he doesn't talk about and Yuu makes a comment to try to make him feel better. Or Yuu doesn't even have to be subtle in compliments. Maybe Jade did something different with his outfit or maybe is trying a new perfume to hopefully get Yuu's attention and Yuu didn't notice it but they overheard Jade's thoughts so they comment on it and Jade gets so happy.

Or Jade has thoughts of how he's trying to act cool or handsome but Yuu calls him cute or pretty instead. Like he wasn't expecting to hear that and now he's a blushy and having to hide away to get his act back together.

Also a kinds related but also not really thought. If Yuu ever comments how they can tell Jade's fake smiles vs his real ones how would Jade react? Luke his fake smile doesn't show teeth but his real one does or something. And if Yuu said they likes his real smile more or comments that his real smile is cute then what? Would he die?

Would you all be surprised to hear that it's actually the sweeter things that make him fall further in love with Yuu and not just the more risque scenarios (tho he does love those too).

Jade as a character is always performing a certain way, not necessarily to please others but to get what he wants out of them. We can see it in other's perceptions in the game, his classmates know that Jade is just as unhinged as his brother and manipulative as Azul, but others don't. Trey thinks Jade is like him, trying to just placate situations and being a pushover to his housewarden and brother, when Riddle points out that it's very much not the case. Vil gets unsettled when Jade is able to perfectly perform every single task he's given, no matter how impossible. Even when his perfect image as a soft-spoken, polite man is shattered once others find out just how mean and condescending he is, there is still a general notion that he's capable, intimidating, and almost a miracle maker. In fact, he revels in how unsettled he makes others, finding it funny.

But he doesn't want Yuu to see him like that, he doesn't want them to be put off by him. But the reality is that they've already have been looking at that way, and it's been a whole year for them to develop their own notions of Jade as a person.

It's a deep insecurity he has regarding them, a fear that Yuu will never see past that image. Maybe it's why he has such vivid daydreams, ones skipping right over that roadblock and immediately turning into one where he's already won their heart, rather than fighting for it. He's a bit of a coward, he hates to admit it, the fear of not being capable for once stumping his development.

Of course, Yuu knows this, and as much as they don't want to admit it, they've grown fond of Jade the longer they hear his thoughts. He is so firm in performing a certain way, it's nice to hear how open he really wants to be with them. (It's also the fact that it's only with them he wants to be open with that makes them a bit pleased, even if they don't want to admit it.)

But it's a bit hard to do outwardly experience that when Jade is so firm on being be person he thinks they want, and the Seven know hat they won't make the first move, so they try what they can to pull him out.

It helps, Jade becomes less concerned about being a certain way around Yuu, but does become more preoccupied with trying to get them to say more things about him.

He's hoping, with how sweet their words are, that a slip of the tongue might bring out a confession. Yuu is hoping for the same. I suppose it's a matter of who will utter those three little words first.

i really do hope we get sam reid in the writer's room, because i don't know if i can take any more lestat slander from some of the writers. the whole point of tvl is lestat telling his side of the story to louis. it's a love letter to him, explaining everything he couldn't while they were together. lestat isn't perfect, of course, but he's also generous and giving and awkward with some things. some of the writers have bought into the lestat self-hate, thinking that's who he actually is. hello!!! the man hates himself, thinks he's irredeemably evil, and in so doing, ACTS that way! hello!!! he isn't!!! it's been shown time and again from other characters that he's pretty great, if not a little insufferable at times. he is scared of being unloveable!!! WHEN HE IS SO LOVEABLE, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, HE IS WORTH THE OCCASIONAL ANNOYING SHIT. you could spit in lestat's face, call his mother a whore, and then STAB him, and if he loves you he'd say "aww, someone's feeling grumpy : )" and then just keep going. THAT'S WHO LESTAT IS. (hi i have a cold and im thinking about him and all the missteps that happened in the show so far regarding his character).

Llu Guang seemed extra dead inside this episode. Ngl, I was super surprised he encouraged Cheng Xiaoshi to reach out to Vein. I would think he would want Cheng Xiaoshi 4689642445790 thousand miles from him. Is he really that desperate that he's willing to risk this for a chance to save Cheng Xiaoshi? Also his thinking 'maybe it's time to make some changes' is definitely another thing that makes me think this is AT LEAST attempt number two. But it's such a big risk, I think it hints at several attempts...

Also blonde chick sure had a strange look on her face after Cheng Xiaoshi clapped out. It didn't just look like the surprise or confusion some of his vessels might feel? It more looked like she realized she had been affected by something. I think another hint in the direction that Bahati wasn't just a language school.

Cheng Weimin also... seems to look a bit like Liu Xiao. Wouldn't it be weird if they were actually related? Could just be same face syndrome tho.

Cheng xiaoshi freaking broke my heart. I kinda hate his dad. It must hurt so much to see his dad happy and healthy, living his own life, even talking about him. But he just. Fucking. Abandoned him. No word. Cheng Xiaoshi was alone, and scared they were dead, and grew up without parents, and his dad was just off living in bridon without a word. That's infuriating. I have such a headcanon that Lu Guang hates Cheng Xiaoshi's parents because of the hurt Cheng Xiaoshi went through. That's just me and my imagination tho.

I cannot possibly see how they'll wrap up bridon arc in one more episode. It would be one thing if it was a regular season, but this is supposed to be out of our regular timeline. So how can they end it when it won't pick up right where it left off in season 3? I'm still convinced this isn't the timeline that we go through in s1 and s2... so will they kill Cheng Xiaoshi off last second?

for debut it’s probably a perfectly good heart!! mary’s song is SUCH a close second for the storytelling and just how perfect it is but i’ve always adored apgh i LOVE songs that have such a pretty outro, i love the way it sounds and her vocals and ugh debut is so underrated. i honestly think i’m more excited for taylor swift tv over reputation tv, i can’t wait to hear the difference in her vocals over the two albums!!

for fearless it’s bye bye baby!! i have NEVER seen anybody rank it as their top song or even their top fearless song it’s SO underrated i am so so so insanely in love with the instrumental, the lyrics are BEAUTIFUL her vocals are on point it’s SO perfect but i’m more than happy to keep it as a little gem for myself 🫶 i NEED her to play it before the end of the eras tour or i’ll need some kind of reparations

3) What were you top 5 books of the year?

Piglet by Lottie Hazell, Visite by Li-Cam, Whereabouts by Jhumpa Lahiri, Lady Tan's Circle of Women by Lisa See, and Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel (I hated the tvshow, fiy - I read the book first. That's an unpopular opinion but I stand firmly with it😂 I wish I could un-watch it, aaah. Definitely recommend the book though!)

4) Did you discover any new authors that you love this year?

Yes! Everything I read was new to me, I hadn't been reading consistently in a lonnnng time. My best discovery was Jhumpa Lahiri. I started with "In other words", her autobiographical book about learning Italian as a third language. It was exactly what I was looking for, theme-wise, but her style took me by surprise.

She has a very bare, simple style, but for some reason it also feels deep and able to convey complex feelings anyway. I just clicked with it.

I loved it so much that I read Whereabouts right after because I didn't want to stop reading her voice. And I wasn't disappointed at all!! Whereabouts is her first novel written in Italian, about someone making daily observations about the people and places around her. It was such a relaxing read, perfect to fall asleep to every night, just a wonderful ritual for me. I really really feel so cozy with her writing and I'm excited to read more from her soon!!!!

25) What reading goals do you have for next year?

I impressed myself this year by just reading at all and honestly I just wanna continue steadily. My only goal is to read one book/month, but I know I'll read more than that. I don't need to aim for a specific number cause I'm just content with staying consistent.

I would like to maybe read from more varied countries, though!

Oh, and actually, I have a shy little goal of reading a book in Spanish. That's the one that I would be most proud and happy to fulfill cause it will be a challenge!!!

The localization, after dumbing everything down and making characters speak like the cringiest side of Tiktok, decided 3+ is a good enough age rating and then changed it to 13+ or wherever it is right now after getting mocked relentlessly for thinking 3+ was a good idea. 13+ is still far too young and it sadly leads to a lot of younger and more immature people being in the fandom.

Oh my god, fucking 3+… And 13+ isn’t much better. The entire rating system is kind of weird when you think about it: simply because there isn’t any nudity or sexual themes or gore, it doesn’t mean that the game is perfectly fit for 13 year olds. But this is its own whole can of worms that I’m not touching with a 5 feet pole…

THIS IS SUCH A BIG ISSUE AAAH because they always use those words to grab your attention, but then out of 10 callout posts about groomers you’ll have 5 posts about someone drawing a problematic ship, 3 posts about someone just talking to someone once, 1 post that is just a straight-up lie and maybe 1 post about an actual predator that people should either block or report. Not only it clogs the report system with irrelevant stuff and distracts from real and very serious cases, it completely desensitises people to the point when their first thought when they see a callout post is “I’m not even going to waste my time reading this, I’m 95% sure this is bs”.

I am very tired of it, so I understand, Anon.

Thank god Idia gives us food to think about these things with his crush on his online buddy lol I’m going to base my thoughts on their interactions.

First and foremost, for someone who isn’t very social, Idia really loves it when he can share his interests with someone. I say it every time, but quality time is one of the most important things for Idia, so if a person listened to a song he’d sent or if he is fun to play with, it’s going to win a lot of points for Idia. And Idia probably senses fakeness in this type of stuff, so he needs someone who is going to be genuinely invested in a game; just like Lilia, Azul or Ortho are.

He also loves determined, strong-willed people who take things into their own hands. Idia is kind of passive and hates being someone who initiates things, so his perfect partner would have to do the heavy lifting when it comes to this side of their relationship. He would have to “feel Idia’s vibes” and know when to push and when to leave him alone. Idia is (probably unintentionally) drawn to people who push him a liiiitlle bit out of his comfort zone, but he gets super defensive when someone oversteps his boundaries. He even complimented Crimson Muscle for always keeping a perfect distance and yet being very involved and friendly with him. In short, his perfect partner would have to make things easy for him emotionally lol

I don’t know about appearance, but I feel like Idia is kind of drawn to tall and mature men that are on the bigger side, he is kind of into this whole fantasy of Crimson Muscle being older than him, which is super ironic considering that at least 3 of his potential lovers are significantly smaller than him (Ortho, Lilia, Azul), and two of them are also younger than him. Not sure of Idia has a thing for this type, it’s probably just a funny coincidence, but it could be a bone in Idia’s body that gets pleasantly tickled because of the fact that he’s being topped by someone as tiny and adorable as they are. Well, not sure if he considers Azul tiny or adorable, but he certainly thinks that he has a pretty face.

Body-wise, the Tweels are probably the closest to what Idia would envision if he was cringe enough to fantasize about having sex with someone which he absolutely doesn’t do because that would be too pathetic and typical for a shut-in otaku loser like him ha ha ha ha ha. Seriously though, he probably doesn’t think about these things, also because he’s never thought that he would be a bottom in a sexual scenario, but if we forced Idia to pick the most attractive body out of all of these people, there is a chance that he would have picked the Tweels.

As for the big NOPEs…. The majority of people are big NOPEs for Idia lol

Ironically, the Tweels are a HUUUGE NOPE because they’re scary. Idia actively avoids them because he knows they are up to no good, and he would never consider any type of relationship with them.

He always complains about extraverts, but they would balance him out surprisingly well. But still, in theory this is a big no-no, in particular because they always have a lot of friends and the thought itself makes Idia feels a bit jealous and lonely. Plus, he considers them obnoxious lol Even though Ortho is an extravert.

He also doesn’t like nosy people who criticise him and don’t understand his hobbies and life philosophies. Azul nags on him, but he is surprisingly good at giving him his space, maybe because he knows that this is just how Idia operates and there is nothing he can do about it.

Idia also hates sporty people, active people, reckless people, people with a stick up their butts… He has a lot of opinions about every single NRC student and why they would be horrible to date lol

No worries, Anon, I like talking about Idia a lot as you might’ve noticed lol

It’s probably ironic considering just how many people we ship him with, but I feel like Idia doesn’t even consider having sex as something that might at some point happen to him. His mindset is “I’m a lonely otaku shut-in and I don’t want to be around people, but it’s okay if I stay a virgin because sex is overrated”. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t want to have sex, he just doesn’t think that it’s an option and he is okay with it… One-night-stand just sounds isn’t as stressful as building a relationship with someone, but it’s still stressful af and very cringy, so he wouldn’t do it “unless he’s 50 and desperate”. But who knows, maybe his circumstances change…

To answer your first question, yes, on paper, he has to be very close to a person to even think about these things. But that’s on paper, in actuality (and this is the scenario for our art and posts a lot of times) sex could just happen to him suddenly because the tension got too strong and; and then Idia would suddenly feel himself overflowing with his suppressed urges. “I have to have a super strong connection with someone to sleep with them” and “I will probably never have sex” are irrelevant when Idia is being touched and feels every single sensation and feeling at once. Out of all of the guys we ship him with, I feel like the only one he would think about having sex with prior to that happening is Lilia (his online self of course), but even then this thought is just cringy delusional cope in Idia’s own opinion.

With foreplay, it’s kinda tricky. I think Idia is someone who would prefer to get it over with, to have sex already, to hurry his lover up, because foreplay feels too overwhelming and embarrassing. But his body craves much more attention that Idia is ready to let anyone give to it, so he would probably enjoy being petted, kissed, even edged, and his own embarrassment always dances on a fine line between ruining Idia’s mood because of the anxiety of it all and making him much hornier because embarrassment is arousing.

As for getting him in the mood, he is way too sensitive and his body is way too responsive, so a lot of times just grabbing and touching him works wonderfully… except when he is very busy gaming, because nothing can stand between him and his game. hi hello hi!! i just finished bingereading cogr and i hope you don't mind if i yell into your inbox about your fic lol

SO FIRST OF ALL. i never expected i would get so attached to zote. but now i am! i will never get the neglect achievement after reading this. but i can't even be mad it's so good

i have to say that it's a really, REALLY good example of how to add depth to a normally unlikable character! like by the end zote is still at least a bit of a bastard, but after knowing how horribly literally everything in his life has gone you can't help but feel bad for him and hope things start looking up.

plus, it provides an explanation for why he's Like That. genuinely if he got therapy to work through his multitude of issues he'd probably be, like, 10x nicer about everything.

also while i did read the tags, i can't say i expected it to be THAT dark, mostly because i was thinking "it's a fic about zote being a nosk it can't be THAT bad." but nope! this man is suicidally depressed and by the end he's barely even trying to hide it. i don't mind though, it's DELICIOUS angst

OH and the format of the fic, where it's presented as zote talking to Someone Else, is absolutely GENIUS for this fic. genuinely this choice makes the fic so much better. i mean ok to start off i normally hate first-person pov in fanfiction but this sort of format i like. HOWEVER that's not my main point here

this structure lets zote's personality really shine through. if it wasn't filtered like this, first of all everything would be revealed way too quickly but also the writing would lose all of its character and emotion. plus the tangents and mid-sentences corrections, the way he corrects and interrupts himself...it's all BECAUSE of how this fic is framed. i just...aaah!! i don't know how to FULLY express how much i love the way cogr is framed. just know that i think it was a perfect choice on every possible level

OH I JUST REMEMBERED!! it makes the ending possible, and holy shit the ending. it's SUCH a gutpunch to realize he's all alone, talking to nobody, and then he just...keeps on talking. i am still reeling from it as i type this ask. bravo i think this is one of the best endings to a fic i've seen, especially for a sad ending

other things i've noticed!! first of all, there is excellent use of zote's unreliable narrating for foreshadowing, as well as wonderful callbacks and parallels!! i don't remember everything 100% since i was admittedly reading pretty quickly but from what i DO remember, i'm pretty sure i could go through cogr and find a TON of good stuff like this.

one thing i noticed in particular, the way he based himself off of vessels...DELICIOUS parallels there. i don't remember everything like i said but i'm pretty sure zote says some stuff about how it was dangerous to express emotions in the nosk den? stuff like that makes the way zote chose to disguise himself as a vessel just...augh. perfection 10/10

i also LIVE for your nosk lore and worldbuilding. i don't have much to say about this i just really like worldbuilding and this is quality

The way I'm thinking about the bg3 story, both Rosio and Lucis were simultaneously completing parts of the quests, adventuring with only half of the companions, never running into each other (maybe at the end.. big avengers assemble moment.. except it's your ex that kinda ruined your life.. a classic), so from the pool of companions Rosio knows very well - Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Astarion, Jaheira and Halsin - he basically trusts Jaheira the most and almost instantly lol. She reminds him too much of his mother 🥲 Halsin is probably right there with her, he's the main voice of reason, Rosio trusts him to not let him and Astarion die during their gremlin shenanigans 😭 He kinda trusts Lae'zel and Shadowheart too, but only after their "fuck our goddesses" phase, he doesn't generally trust people too attached to their gods.

Funnily enough it took him the longest to trust Astarion 💀 Rosio was convinced he was the object of his manipulation basically till the "I love you" moment (and even more funnily enough, Rosio was willingly subjecting himself to that manipulation, being the self sabotaging, masochistic idiot that he is).

If Rosio knew Wyll, he wouldn't buy into his whole good boy hero shtick. He doesn't believe there are this kind-hearted people out there 😔 (But he's absolutely self projecting lol, the whole "how could you turn so kind when people wronged you so... and why I wasn't capable of it")

Lucis, on the other hand, fucking loves Karlach and Wyll. He trusts them with his life, considers them his best friends. Maybe he's a bit naive, but he actually finds their strong moral compasses admirable.

He trusts Gale too, but considering he's his lover, it's a tad more complicated 💀 It means the absolute world for Lucis that Gale would basically move mountains for him, but there's also.. Mystra 💀 That would be the source of his insecurities and a bit of trust issues (which, tbh, is pretty selfish, boy!!!! It's not like you're completely over your ex lmfaooo 😭)

(And if Lucis traveled with Astarion, it wouldn't even be a case of distrust, that would be a wholeass circus-level hatred... They're two peacocks, and in certain ways dangerously similar... Oh HMMM. The most typical one being food, I'd say. This man would run out of shape so fast if he wasn't leading an active life lmao. But if we're talking more Deep guilty pleasures, then it's being cared for, not having control, getting attention and feeling small (and yes, this is mostly about sex ahjkdajkds). He doesn't get to feel this way often nor does he even usually allow himself all this.. bc Issues and Trauma :)

For Lucis it's probably getting spoiled lol. He hates it about himself tho (being a spoiled kid, getting harshly criticized for it, wanting to be different, really cutting ties with the way he used to be).

But from more serious point of view, you can apply literal Guilty Pleasures to him. Lucis has such bad body autonomy and sex issues that he hasn't been able to have sex sober for like 20 years, he freaks out so bad and it got so mentally draining that it led to an addiction. Oh boy oh boy I finished Yves’s route…! Spoilers under the cut as usual!

Okay one thing at a time! First off - Hugo is SO Yvesexual oh my god?? Bro just confess already please I’m sorry Ceres is getting in the way! “Partner” pffft yeah okay mister “I literally died from feeling too much love” sure, I hope we all find our own Hugo one day 😂

Also while all the CGs were beautiful in this route (oh his mask coming off, oh him crying in the corner, aaah the one with him sobbing into Ceres 😭 probably the best kiss CG even though it’s just like.. on the cheek LOL), can we talk about Yves’s hair-down sprite? Like… what is that. What happened? Yves honey who did your hair? Did you shred it with your sword yourself?? I would normally brush it off if it just looked a little odd, but Mathis, Lucas, and Ankou all have perfectly normal looking long hair (even Scien’s looks more normal) so clearly this was a choice. But it was a bad choice sorry my boy 💀

Now back to the route itself, I really liked it overall! Yves and Ceres I think have had the best romantic relationship build up (even if they both desperately need therapy). I just gotta yell out some feelings as if this is a liveblog lmao

The way I gasped when Dahut and Nadia showed up? Seriously I did not expect these two to steal my heart so much?? They’re truly a balm for my soul… Any time Dahut shows up now I’m like OH THANK GOD someone who doesn’t need therapy 😩

So… the science in his game has always been *hand wavey* and I think I’m generally good at just going with the flow in fictional stories, but like……… HUH???
