Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā i am definitely seen as an outspoken individual, most of the times optimistic and smiley. i am very playful and i do try my best to be as open and as approachable as possible. i enjoy making people laugh, smile and happy, and i try to help out whenever i can.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā however, as i can be very moody, some people would say that i am intimidating and very much cold upon meeting me, even if leaving such an impression isn't my goal most of the time. some have told me i am very secretive and mysterious as well.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā given what others have said to me, i appear to come across as independent and cheery, though overly blunt or even rude at times. if i want to leave a good impression, i will be pleasant and open, but if i want someone away from me, then i will be very cold and very serious ā i am very much capable of both ends of the spectre.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā i am a playful individual and i can act childlike at times. i adore teasing others ā you'll find me selling random stories to people just to mess with them āĀ and i find myself most comfortable in a relaxed atmosphere. in class, you will probably see me cracking jokes, pick-up lines and blabbing with teachers. i am excited person who loves challenges, so i am pretty much a 'fight me' or 'make me' kind of person.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā i have a large palette of interests and i am extremely curious; i am very likely to know bits and pieces about all sorts of stuff! i am very interested in medicine ( i'm studying it ), botany, astronomy, astrology, languages and so on. i am a fan of action movies, anime, horror games and stories, supernatural and paranormal, among other things. i also write and draw! that being said, i cannot do maths even if it killed me. i do get bored very easily so i will oftentimes switch back and forth between my interests and hobbies. i also love hiking and nature, and i am an equestrian, too. i like baking, but my abilities in kitchen, and around house in general, are very much limited. that doesn't stop me from adoring food, though ā i am told i am a very peculiar ( and cute ) eater.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā i am a very opinionated person. it takes a path to hell and back to make me change my mind about something and i am very stubborn when it comes to my viewpoints. i think i can be considered narrow-minded given the way i speak, though i truly try my best to be the opposite ā i strongly believe that world isn't simply black and white and that there is more to everything. i dislike narrow-minded people, honestly. i try my best to be logical and have down-to-earth, practical views. that's why many of my friends come to me for advice; they always say how they know i will tell them my honest opinion and not what they want to hear.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā i am very much argumentative and open for discussions! i don't have a problem expressing my opinions and thoughts, or asking questions; my curiosity drives me to do so. i used to have a shorter fuse in the past, though now i try to be more analytical. i enjoy topics such as philosophy, faith and psychology! i'm also very likely to ponder and ask questions about the said topics as i think about them a lot.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā despite my confidence, i do have moments where i can be very awkward when it comes to being given attention or speaking in public or so. as such, as much as i adore attention, there are times in which i'll completely despise it.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā my temper depends on my mood and surroundings; some people will admire me for my calmness and ability to not give a damn, while with some others i can get fired up and irritated very easily. i am the type to give silent treatment and say something really cold when angry ā some people consider me to be very harsh with words, which is why i dislike occasions and people where i have to be careful about what i'm saying; i hate to be held back. i am very likely to be tolerating out of respect, but once i reach my limit, i will always open up and tell everything as i see it, which, again, mostly comes off as harsh.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā i also strongly believe in the 'forgive, but don't forget' policy.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā for someone so communicative, i am a very private person and kind of a 'hermit' ā i am what you can call an extroverted introvert. i don't fancy the idea of easily opening up and you probably won't see me talking about my emotions. if i do end up opening up too much by accident, i will probably laugh it off, or brush it off as a lie, joke, or irony. i also don't like to cry in public and it's hard for others to imagine me crying, while in fact i am very easily pushed to the point of tears.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā speaking of emotions, i do find them hard to comprehend at times, as well as to express them. i am, in fact, very emotional person, but i do not know how to act upon feelings, so i will portray myself as a cool and confident individual. i find it very hard to say 'i love you', so if i am expressing my affections, it is through small physical gestures, dramatic/poetic speech, gifts and acts of service.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā and although everyone thinks the opposite, i am a sucker for affection and i adore physical contact as it is a way for me to express my emotions and affections. i consider physical touch āĀ such as cuddles, hugs and kisses āĀ to be my main love language, with giving gifts taking a second place or so. hell, i'd say that i am extremely touch starved. many people have the impression that i am very innocent, and while i can get flustered or awkward easily, i am very much not a pure angel. i consider myself to be a sadomasochist through and through, and i do have darkish tendencies and attractions. i am also kind of a tough-love person? to an extent?
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā i value communication and honesty in relationships the most, although loyalty is a big thing for me as well. however, it might take me a while to come clean and be honest about my own feelings. i wouldn't call myself 'possessive', but i can get slightly jealous or angsty if i feel like i'm not in control or like i could be betrayed ā i don't have all too pleasant experiences with past friendships and such, thus i have some form of a fear of betrayal or being replaced.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā in terms of romance, i dislike people who don't know what they want and who are incapable of compromise. along with that, i also dislike too childish personalities or those who are too dependent ā i like to believe in a good balance between dependence and independence. i also value intelligence and capability of mental stimuli, too, as i am curious and love to learn, while also idealising a deeper connection more than just pure attraction.Ā

Ā it was a real toss up on deciding who i would do match-ups for you. my waifu deserves the best after all, so i hope youāre pleasantly surprised!

ć¼ Masamune Date : The One-Eyed Dragon

⦠⧠⦠⧠ā¦
this entire relationship would be exciting and challenging, without question.
you have a very strong and attractive aura about you, you have a presence in a room whether or not you want to be noticed.
you would have masamuneās eye right off the bat.
everything from the way you speak your mind so forwardly to the way you hold yourself so confidently would have him intrigued.
heās never seen a woman like you before.
he would try to use his charm on you, flirt with you and try to enact his game of cat & mouse.
one of which you would not partake.
you were always so friendly and playful with people that when you sudden turn cold and serious on him, heās taken by surprise.
i would be lying if i did not say that things would definitely be rough between you two because of your fear of replacement or betrayal-- masamune, while honest about what he wants from you and his intrigue of you, is not someone you would mark as loyal.
but just like you, he is curious and very stubborn, he would not give up.
masamune would use all he can as he gets to know you, even going as far to invite you to indulge in your baking in the kitchen
not to mention he would try to win your favor with his sinfully delicious cooking
heās the kind of guy who would absolutely watch you as you eat, just admiring the way you do it and how you enjoy everything he cooked specifically with you in mind.
the moment he makes the mistake of upsetting you ( or worse, tell you he would kill you if nobunaga asked ) he would quickly find how mistaking he was.
suddenly that cold and distant woman comes back, except this one is far meaner.
youāve been angry with him before, angry enough you were so fired up you yelled at him and avoided him. but this?
youāre giving him the cold shoulder, wonāt speak or even look at him unless your duty requires it, and even then he gets no more than a brief nod or short replies
.it takes a lot to even begin to get you to be blunt and straightforward with why you were doing this to him.you might come to forgive him but you certainly would not forget what he said.
masamune would be a heavy mix of a physical and gift-giving person to show affection.
this man does not know what the hell personal space is & sometimes you swear heās does it on purpose.
of course, you would constantly remind him that you cannot be bought, especially because you long for something more in a partner & azuchiās resident playboy was not the candidate for that.
i feel over time you would grow closer though.
he is curious and very challenging, with your personality to challenge right back, i feel as if he could goad you into falling into a game.
he would try to teach you how to ride, only for you to tell him you can do so just fine by yourself, & he takes that to try and test you.
absolutely believe that was how you ended up in a race across azuchi castle grounds on who could beat who & little does he know youāre actually a skilled rider who can and does absolutely give him a run for his money
over time things exactly like that would bring masamune to realize he was falling for you.
you demanded respect and by God you practically wrestled it from this man & ever moment of it he enjoyed.
you definitely wouldnāt believe him the first time he tries to tell you heās in love with you.
you had heard so much from him before and knew, from his very mouth, that he āsees what he wants and gets itā, so you brushed it off as another one of his games.
i see you taking a while to come to terms with any feelings towards him.
a lot of your emotions would be in conflict with themselves because of your logical & practical tendency but also because of your fear of opening up only to be hurt.
i would entire expect once you are certain of your feelings you would begin to express them through small gifts you made or even random hugs or smooches in the hall.
mercilessly surprise him in the middle of a conversation with a cheek kiss and then run-off, acting as if you had not just made a declaration of war because he couldnāt grab you and kiss you back.
certainly there are a lot of rough patches and difficulties you would face, it would be a slow development between you.
but the relationship would prove to never dull & could grow much deeper and closer together, as you both have a knack for excitement and dedication.
one last note but you two would absolutely mind fuck with the rest of the oda force by tag teaming them with your troublesome duo, masamune would bait them in and you would absolutely drag them under with your wild, teasing & stories.

(1) German Anon :) I just read your opinion on the ending and I really like it. I think the three are alive as well. i too read about the camping being in the afterlive and well lets just say in the german version its quiet clear (in my opinion) that it's before they go to Lucis. But I do have a question I'd like to hear your opinion : in his last scene in the void Ardyn "turns" into a Deamon ( like loosing Voice etc.), why do you think it happened exactly then why didn't he succumb before?
Hello again, GermanAnon!! :)
Iām so glad youliked my opinion on the ending?? Itās really interesting that it seems clearerin German that the camp scene wasnāt in the afterlife⦠I love how thelocalizations can lean towards different interpretations!
I know itās been acouple days since you sent this - I wasnāt ignoring you, I promise, just tryingto come up with a good answer to your questionā¦
To be reallyhonest?? I⦠donāt completely understand Ardynās storyline. A lot of thebackground information Iād need to dig into him as a character is(intentionally or unintentionally) left out of the game. Other people who havespent more time thinking about him could probably give you more insight on thisoneā¦
I can still give yousome thoughts, though!
First of all, Ardynhas clearly been waiting for the Chosen King for a long, long time. And then, even when Noctis ischosen at age five, Ardyn waits fifteen more years, until heās an adult. (20 isthe age of majority in Japan.) And then, once his plans are set in motion, hewaits ten more years, for Noctis tobecome a True King with a divine stamp of approval.
It's⦠a little hardfor me to believe he does all this just because he wants a fair fight? This isthe same guy who stabs Luna while sheās down, who twists Ravus into a daemonout of petty revenge, who impersonates and kidnaps and (apparently) tortures Promptojust to make Noctis angry. This is not a guy whoās overly concerned with GoodForm. (Thereās some nice poetic irony in turning people into daemons when hestarted out healing people from daemonic influence, too⦠Heās good at thisvillain thing.)
If he was truly justtrying to get back at the gods and the royal line, why not just kill Noctis asa child? Or shit, kidnap him? (Anybody know Stephen Kingās āStorm of theCenturyā?? Where [spoilers] the evil magician guy takes the little boy andraises him as his apprentice, and his dad sees him years later and barelyrecognizes him? Imagine that AU with Ardyn and Noctisā¦) Either of these planswould have the added bonus of proving how shaky and fallible the divine edictswere.
There were just SOMANY ways to fuck up this prophecy, so many ways that are SO MUCH EASIER thangoing out of his way to ensure Noctis is grown and trained and motivated tokick Ardynās ass. I like to thinkArdyn is a little more complex than he lets on. I donāt think he was waitingall this time to kill Noctis. I think he was waiting all this time to see ifNoctis could kill him.
Think trial bycombat? Way back when, we had honor duels to decide who was right - bothparties risked their lives to prove their conviction, and the gods or the truthor what have you was supposed to protect the honest one. In this case, themetaphor takes it one step further, because before they have their finalconfrontation, both of them have to literally givetheir lives to prove theyāre serious.
I think Ardyn wasplanning this duel for 2,000 years. I think he was at war with himself all thattime, hating both what heād become and the ones whoād turned him into it,trying to make himself believe he was completely innocent and justified. But hedoesnāt believe that. He canāt. Because if heās to be believed - and I donātsee why we shouldnāt take his word on at least this much, because all signspoint to him truly being a king of Lucis - he was a good person. He was aleader and a healer, he was a caring man who took darkness inside himselfwillingly to help others. You can twist and bury that, but you canāt erase it.That part of him has to know that, regardless of whether or not his anger isjustified, the things heās done with it are NOT.
Watch the way hereacts to Luna trying to heal him? He relaxes his hand when she touches him.For just a second before he hits her, he looks unsure. And then he turns hisback to her, looks down at his arm before he taunts back. Itās the only time hesnaps and loses his composure, which means Luna gotto him with her suggestion that he was āin thrall todarkness,ā that he might āknow peace.ā She knows his story, orat least enough of it. And Ardyn doesnāt know how to react to her compassion, because heās genuinely not sure whether he wants or deserves it.
Heās waited so long, trapped without a way to die, just stuck in his hatred and pain⦠Part of himwanted revenge, yes, but only if it would validate him, only if he could strikedown the gods magnificent champion and prove to himself that fate could be WRONG,that the gods had made a mistake with him and he was justified in hisbitterness. But part of him just wanted it to be over. Part of him wantedsomebody else to hate him as much as he hated himself, to be the king hecouldnāt be, and to judge him for everything heād done.
Now, to get aroundto your actual question: With this sort of two-faced, contradictory thing in mind, I thinkArdyn is choosing to show the face we see in game, but I think his daemony faceis his real one. We know he can control his appearance - if heās hiding the effectsof the daemonic influence, that plays into his shame at what he is, and it alsoechoes the fear of being cast out again like he was by his citizens at the verybeginning of his story. He seems so in-control, but heās really hiding thewhole time. Heās waiting for Noctis to reveal the truth, one way or another.
And Noctis does. Atthe very last, whether you think the boys are alive or dead, Noctis issurrounded by the people whoāve brought him here; heās embraced and relied onlove in his weakest moments until it filled him up and carried with him intodeath. Ardyn bows at the beginning of this confrontation, his old performativeself, but when he sees the undeniable love and goodness Noctis is bringing tothe table, what a genuinely good person and good king he is⦠He shakes hishead, but he realizes heās already lost this fight. In that moment, he figuresout heās completely alone, that heās the bad guy no matter what kind of personhe started out as. He canāt hold his illusion anymore, not even to himself.Heās completely aware heās about to die, and heās going to die hissing andspitting like the daemon the world has made him. Thatās why he gets so angrywhen Luna touches him again - he doesnāt want her healing light damn it, hedoesnāt want compassion or redemption! If the gods have won the day through Noctis,if he canāt have his revenge or even pretend that he deserves it, then shit, come on, itās been thousands of years - he just wants to die.
ā¦Wow, I hadnātthought about him in-depth before. Thatās actually really heartbreaking.
#asks#German Anon <3#Ardyn Izunia#I... have no idea if I got him right at all??#or if this is all old news and everyone's already covered this stuff#I genuinely have not spent much time thinking about his character until now...#(also: I know this ask took me a while to respond to)#(if anybody ever wants to send me another message to make sure I got their first one I'm totally good with that!)#thanks so much for the question - this was fun to think about!! :)#my stuff#Ardyn#FFXV#Final Fantasy#XV

About to Exhibit Your Art for the First Time?
The Devilās in The Details
Congratulations! You have an opportunity to exhibit your work and you want to be sure youāre ready. Over my artistic career, Iāve exhibited in a wide range of settings from small local venues to museums and galleries across the country and abroad. And, as the commercial goes, āIāve learned a thing or two along the way.ā
Hereās a checklist to keep handy when preparing to show your work. Note that this advice is focused on two-dimensional art, but much of it applies regardless of what medium you use.
1. Your Artistās Resume/Vita
Ā Like it or not, you have to have a resume listing your artistic achievements available to the public when you have an exhibit of your work. This is also a necessary component of your website, blog or even your Facebook profile.
If you are relatively new to this, an artistās resume is not at all like a typical job resume where you list your address, date of birth, education, places youāve worked and what you did there.
Instead, you are listing the dates of your previous shows including solo and group exhibits, any articles written about your work, honors, awards and grants you received, residencies you participated in and any other honors youāve received as an artist.
Given there are people out there who think art teachers and students are not serious artists ā and some of them run art galleries ā you may want to leave those details out of your resume. Even though it has nothing to do with the quality of your work, listing your day job, whatever that may be, is not likely all that important to include on a resume for exhibitions.
Moreover, listing things like, āFirst place at the state fairā or āI had a show at Jacobās Water Bar and Spaā can also work against you. What works better is to use a general statement, such as ā(Your name here) has exhibited his/her work regionally (nationally, if thatās the case) and received many awards and accolades for (his or her) art.ā
Keeping your resume simple isnāt a cop-out for your lack of experience, but rather itās a way of letting your artwork speak for itself.
Keep Up with Experience
Your exhibition resume can take different forms depending on your experience. If youāve had a lot of experience showing your work, but you havenāt been keeping track of the names, dates and places, you have to start making the time to sort those things out.
Then, get your experience on paper and on the web. Remember, having an artistās resume is valuable PR for showing and selling your work.
Believe it or not, however, listing too much experience is also a pitfall because no one is going to read multiple pages detailing your lengthy career. The fact is, people have a very short attention span in our fast-paced world.
Even if you have an extensive background, think of your resume as a summary or capsule of your accomplishments that fit on a single page rather than compiling a complete list of your shows over the past decade or so.
You can always include, āA complete list of my exhibitions is available upon request.ā
2. Artistās Statement
Cartoon by Gary Hallgren
Ā Facing the dreaded artist statement is no easy task. And, in my opinion, itās probably one of the most hated professional obligation artists have to grapple with!
But no matter how hard it is to try to say what your art represents in a public statement, you canāt squirm your way out of this one. In a sense, you just have to grin and bare it.
Clearly, itās not all that reasonable to think you can be completely objective about the meaning and substance of your own art without making unending drafts which wind up in a wastebasket. Iām in total agreement with anyone who says, āIf you want to know what my work is about, just look at it! ā
Iāve written two books on art, and you would think writing a statement on my own work would be a piece of cake. But no, itās just the opposite. I have written approximately 40 versions of my own statements from the time I was a grad student to the one I use now for gallery shows. And, I still hate them all.
You just have to accept the fact it isnāt really possible to summarize who you are as an artist but just do the best you can.
Ask a Third Party
Many times itās better to have someone write about your work from their perspective than it is to go it alone. And this method to an artistās statement is completely fine. Youāll see this approach in catalogs produced for gallery shows where an art critic, historian or fellow artist writes about the work of the artist displayed.
This tactic gets an āAā for getting you off the hook and making the writer of the statement somewhat accountable for how it goes over. Regardless, thereās no way to control what people think about your art or whatās written about it.
At least youāll know there are artists just like yourself who are frustrated trying to express what they want to say about their work. Thatās not to say writing an informative and meaningful statement about your work is not feasible. Just remember to keep it short, honest and as clear as you can. Lengthy, flowery and poetic proclamations are doomed at the starting gate and will drive readers away.
Lead by Example
It can be helpful to read other artistās statements that may inspire an approach you havenāt thought of. I recommend doing a web search for āartist statementsā and āfamous artist statementsā which yield a lot of samples. Here are two sources, I recommend: ā8 Artist Statements We Loveā and āArt and Art Statements ā Quotes by Famous Artists.ā
I had 50 artists from across the spectrum write short statements about their abstract work in my book, Creating Abstract Art. The results show the diversity of thinking among artists practicing the same genre of work. And, not any two of the artists say the same thing. I recommend reading the ones in my book and those on the web that ring true for you, then put that into your own words.
3. Framing Your Work
In my opinion, one of the worse reactions someone can have when viewing your art is to say, āI really like the frame you put on this piece.ā Thank you, but did you happen to notice the painting in the middle of the frame? If thatās ever happened to you, donāt blame the viewer, but start reconsidering your framing choices.
Ā Photo courtesy of Getty Images
Ā The frame you choose should present your work without drawing attention. In my opinion, you shouldnāt waste your money or time choosing a frame or mat just because you think it looks impressive.
Frame shops like to push unnecessary and pricey frills like ornate gold leaf details, museum glass and densely colored mats that likely do more harm than good. Framers have a bottom line business to support. And, I respect that.
But donāt let them talk you into buying superfluous trimmings or anything overly decorative that takes attention away from your art. Frames can be simple and elegant without hogging the stage.
Ornate by Nature
The idea of keeping the frame simple is not necessarily consistent with the job of gallery and museum directors who must respect the origins of the art itself. For example, most artworks depicting religious iconography in the Renaissance and Baroque periods were specifically made to impress the viewer much as did the spectacularly ornate cathedrals that presented these artworks to their parishioners.
In addition, many legendary artists actually made their own frames ā that were works of art in their own right ā and were married to the paintings inside their borders.
In fairness, I have to mention the controversial example of the āsimple is betterā dictum played out by the Museum of Modern Art directors in the 1980s, who decided to reframe the entire contemporary art collection with one simple frame design that was supposed to keep the viewerās attention on the artworks and not the frames. I have to admit, I personally donāt agree with that decision even if it makes me look like a hypocrite.
Ā Illusion 11 by Dean Nimmer
Ā Like the art itself, the choice of a frame is a subjective decision. I donāt think one prototype fits every situation, and it certainly doesnāt match everyoneās tastes. Indeed, the choice of the right frame is up to you and you alone, and I hope to give you a perspective from both sides of the coin.
