But something was amiss ever since a week ago.

He had come back from base, a day of planning for the next mission and cleaning up from the last, and his heart yearned to be at home with you. Stepping through the front door, he was ready to hear his bird chirping his name and telling him about the day. But the house was silent, the lights were off, and he couldn’t hear a thing.

He waited a moment before calling out your name. It was only when he walked up the stairs to the bedroom that he saw you sitting on the edge of the bed. Your back was to the door.

“Love?” He called to you. You turned your head back to see him before standing up and making your way around the bed to smile and greet him. You hug him tightly, a bit firmer than usual and he had to brace his core a little in surprise. You let go and look at him with an innocent smile.

Ghost replies, "Maybe." In his mind, he's already running his fingers through their calendar.

Price cuts through, "Why not just ask 'er?" Straight to the point, as Ghost expected.

He leans back, "Rather not." Ghost knows he's hiding the real answer. What do I do if I can't fix it?

Price looks at him, assesses him and sees right through him. But before he can press further, Ghost hears his phone buzz. He pulls it out of his pocket and after reading the message from you, grumbles a quiet 'fuck' that draws the attention of his team. They lean over to catch a glimpse of the message.

The screen showed previous conversations between the lieutenant and his girl, you sending him your texts with smiley faces, hearts or emoticons with every message. That is, until your latest one which read:

Love: pick up bread on your way home.

The team winced at the cold tone.

"Good luck, mate."

Ghost glares at them all before standing up and leaving.

The rest of the week had followed similarly with you just not acting like you're usual self.

That Friday it was your turn to pick a film to watch, where you would usually put on a cheesy rom-com or a tense-filled drama, that night it was a R18 horror movie. Ghost did not utter a single complaint when you put it on. Or move an inch when you lay your head on his chest and smiled at a scene where a cheating husband and his mistress get sliced in two.

Where you two would usually stay in bed together to bask the warm glow of a slow Sunday morning, instead, Simon woke alone. He called your phone again and again until you came home a couple hours later. You ignored his questions. Fearing the worst, he let it go.

And the bite of your finger nails into his skin got stronger and stronger every night as you two lay in bed. It was as is if you were clutching or branding onto him with all your might.

It was later that week, that Simon decided to was time to ask. Time to confront the dissonance that was ringing louder and louder in his ears whenever you touched him, looked at him and smiled at him.

“Right.” He replies, hesitantly.

You start cutting a slice, and place it on his plate before sitting down and waiting for him.

He takes the fork. "You're not hungry, love?"

You shake your head, "I want to see your reaction."

There's a moment where Ghost is trying to remember the poison hotline contact number so he could ring it after his 'taste test' but he finally breaks.

“Nope, can’t do this anymore.” He says.

“Can’t do what, Simon?” You asked with faux concern. You stand up and come to his side of the table to face him. “What’s wrong, baby? You're going to love it.”

“Did I forget an anniversary? Your birthday?” He thought aloud. He doubted it, but he must have done something wrong. He reaches for your arms and gently pulls you to stand in front of him, he holds your hands and bows his head before you. “Tell me love, have I been neglecting you? Spending too much time at work? You can tell me.”

You gently remove your hands from his hold, moving one hand to cup his cheek and the other to tilt his chin so he could meet your gaze. At first, he leans into the gentle palm of your hand but the cold look in your eye with that small smile of your lips makes him freeze.

“Don’t bullshit me, Riley.” Your voice cuts through the candlelit room. He has to fight to not let this do something to him. It gets worse when you use both of your hands to cup his jaw and force his head upwards to meet your gaze. “I found a second phone when I was sorting the laundry. There was a message from another woman. Asking if you would be coming over that night. What a greedy fucker you are.” He has to fight any sound that may escape from his lips at seeing you speak so harsh. “You listen to me, Simon.” His eyes widen as you close the distance of your face to his and your lips are so close. He wants to kiss you. “I will fucking kill her.”

Ghost had no idea what was happening, mind moving too fast and too slow all at once. All he could do was focus on his sweetheart's voice. You stand upright, move closer to Ghost, forcing him to spread his thighs so you can stand between them and press his face to your form, stroking the back of his head, his shoulders, his back as if to soothe and comfort. “I am yours. You made it so. And now, you are mine too."

He can't help the chills running down his spine as he laid his head against your body and felt the presses of your touch. You tell him, “All you need to do is give me her name and where I can find her. And after tonight, we can forget all about this, my love. If you work hard enough, I will forgive you. And in time, I will ask you what deficit I had to make you think you can replace me."

You sigh, "I gave you all week to confess, but you have no shame do you?"

Finally, Ghost's mind seems to catch up, "Wait, wait, sweetheart I don't have a second phone." At that, you tighten the hand in his hair, grabbing a good chunk of the back of his head. He whines at the sensation, "I swear, love." But you do not yield.

His mind is racing.

And finally, he realises. "Sweetheart, wait. It's Johnny's. He mentioned that he lost his phone, the idiot must've dropped in my gym bag. That's why you found it."

Your body stills. "Are you sure, Si?"

Your boyfriend was spending less and less time with you in general. You knew it was nothing personal in general but you did feel a bit hurt.

It started off with Barbatos inviting you to go shopping with you, buying you gifts. Even inviting you for sleepovers to the castle when he had basic chores.

You even helped him sometimes, it was ok with you. He is your boyfriend so of course you would help him.

However over time it became less and less frequent from the overall amount of time you both would spend time together.

You tried talking to Asmodeus about it but he just replied with; “You have nothing to worry about hun, besides you knew he was gonna be a busy guy before dating him.”

He laughed as he kissed you on the cheek and walked off.

You weren’t concerned if he was cheating on you and such after all it’s not like he was monogamous, he was just too busy over all to be thinking about other people.

You were all that he could basically handle mentally and you were all that he wanted clearly.

You knew that he still loved you however you were starting to think it wasn’t worth it or meant to be in general from all the times he has canceled plans on you, left you on read, didn’t even say good morning.

When you did see him it was like you both weren’t even together. He would stand by Diavolo’s side like he was supposed to do professionally.

He didn’t once glance or greet you.

Eventually you started worrying if there was something wrong with him, because no one could take a 360 overnight.

Lucifer saw that you were extremely worried from all the new habits you started getting that were shown from humans; biting your nails, declining invitations to go to a group dinner with everyone etc.

sorry if this is out of line. you’re not a failure for struggling with food prep and cooking. this is part of life that is hard to deal with and you are not a failure for that. think about bakeries, markets, food stalls, these have almost always existed. in many cultures full time home makers have also been the ones who took on the work of meal planning and prep. relying on others and relying on easier ways to get food is something a lot of people have always done, it’s just a hard thing to do for one’s own self.

so i think with that considered, you are not cheating for buying meal replacements. you’re doing something humans have always had to do by getting assistance. it’s nothing to beat yourself up over, it’s a kindness to yourself.

also - what do you consider cooking? maybe there are ways to eat food from home that only take 1 or 2 steps - like a can of soup, or a microwaved potato? store bought focaccia/flatbread warmed up with a sauce (pesto/hummus/etc?)

This is really sweet and made me cry aauugh I really appreciate this thank you.. ... So she has no family or friends. SYKE, she gets a lady-in-waiting named Laosie - basically her mother figure/best friend for her entire life. Makes her learn more about commoners, Robin sees how they're mistreated and underpaid and goes "fuck this" *becomes robin hood and steals from rich people to give to the poor*

So ignoring the physical and emotional abuse everything is going well, she has friends!!! Nothing can go wrong!!!!

... So she tries to steal a necklace but OH NO it was a set-up! By who? FUCKING TOKALA. He arrests Robin and throws her in jail KNOWING SHE'LL GET EXECUTED FOR HER CRIMES.

It's ok though, Loasie saves her and they run away and live happily ever after :)

SYKE, Laosie tries to save her but as they make a run for it Laoise falls and is unable to keep up with Robin. Robin ends up having to leave her, unaware if she's still alive, and run into the woods.

She runs for 2 weeks before passing out in an alleyway where she's picked up by some bakery/inn owners who adopt her - They're her lesbian cat moms, they have like 100 grandkids and Robin lives in their attic and I LOVE THEM.

Robin is my lil blorbo, I made her and I put all my trauma into her and I tied it with a pretty lil bow and I kissed her gently before yeeting her at a wall.

ALSO, last session (it was a 1on1) she adopted a brainwashed kid from the enemy because he was 18 and working alone at a prison and she was like "What the fuck, you are mine-"

21. What’s one secret of theirs that could potentially ruin a relationship they have?

he doesnt really have any secrets. if anyone wants to know anything about him, he will tell them. maybe he would be very vague about it, and he'd dance around the information a bit, but he will let them know only what they need to. the only thing that could potentially ruin everything for him is his past with arasaka, which he was more of an unwilling participant in rather than actively taking part in it. he didnt have any say in anything there, but that does Not matter to the clients he has. if they see his name tied to arasaka theyre immediately going to think he's not trustworthy, or still working with them in Some capacity, even though he has 10000% cut all ties after they tried killing him that one time

22. Are they a dog person or a cat person — or something else?

CAT 10000% mostly bc he has never met a dog before in his life. and has a cat of his own [frankie stromboli, but everyone, including seb himself sometimes, has to call him Mr. Stromboli out of respect]. his cat is like a son to him, and has entire conversations with him on a daily basis. also holds him like a baby.

23. What's one childhood memory they've never forgotten?

he and his siblings broke into a bakery and stole a bunch of food once and they all had to run like hell before they got caught <3 they dropped a lot of the stuff they stole but they still made it home with a good amount of cakes and cookies so it wasnt a complete failure. he got in a fuckton of trouble for it, but it was worth it, and he'd do it again in a heartbeat.

24. Do they have any phobias?

extremely claustrophobic. he WILL throw up if he's in a small space for too long. also pretty terrified of needles which is not very fun considering he had to deal with them every day while he worked at arasaka, which, if anything, made his fear of needles Worse. but even then it's like, very specifically syringes. tattoo needles???? he does not care. but a syringe??? anything could be in that. he doesnt know whay it will do to him and he would rather keep it as far away from him as possible.

25. What's one thing they're utterly incapable of doing without the help of someone else?

admitting that he needs help <3 HWGSHDHD he is very bad at it ok!!!! he needs to be yelled at before it gets into his brain that hey maybe his jaw shouldn't be hanging on by a thread and he should let someone fix it for him actually. which, again, is an entirely different problem. he will admit he needs help [eventually] but will not accept the help. even if it is actively killing him [stupid]

26. What's one topic they could never get tired of researching or learning about?

OLD CARS he loves old cars SOOOOOO much. he has a few of his own and he is spending his free time learning everything he can about them.

SPACE TOO. especially constellations. he needs to know where they all are and what their names are. and if they dont have a name, he is giving them one. he wants to get to the point where he knows exactly where they are even when it's the day and he can't see them

28. Who, if anyone, do they dislike the most?

his father is pretty high up on the list, and was his most hated person for a WHILE, but that spot was overtaken by his ex wife, alana, bc she basically ruined his life and left him with SOOOO many issues, and also almost got him killed MANY times. so. i think he's allowed that one. his old boss who she cheated on him with is also very high on the list - not only bc of the cheating but also bc he had a very big role in arasaka completely fucking him up and screwing him over. he cannot catch a break <3

It was hardly a secret that the baker held a soft spot for CJ. Her jokes and confidnet nature always brought a smile to his face. If anything, he thought Cj was the coolest lady he ever met. From the first time he saw her at school and later hiding out in the bakery’s kitchen after a fight, his heart skipped a beat. The second their eyes met, the young Luna fell for Cj.

His arms wrap around her, hands gently rubbing her back. The baker’s forehead rested against hers as took in her features.

“I…” he begins, that red hue filling his cheeks. “I really want this to be us. I’ve wanted it to be for a long time. Would you be ok if this was…us?”

Despite laying in the same bed and even earning a kiss, the baker still felt some strange sense of fear. No doubt due to the surprising lack of confidence he held onto since graduation. 

“I wouldn’t mind if it was more times like this. Although, you might know this, I’ll look for any excuse to spend time with you. Always have.”

Through the back half of high school and into early adulthood, she carried a certain reputation with her. And it was warranted, she had a tendency to sleep around. It wasn’t something many people approved of and she knew it turned a lot of people off. And she knew, deep down, Chris deserved better than somebody carrying something like that. 

“Would you be?” she responded softly. Since her first real relationship crashed and burned the way it did, she didn’t invest a lot into them. Even though at her heart, she still loved people just the same. And Chris, he was one of the best people she’d ever met. She wasn’t a bad person, but was she really worth his effort. “I mean, you’ve been here for a lot of it. Are you cool with all that shit?” she asked seriously. Her eyes slid away from his for a second and she glanced at a point past his head before she focused back in. 

“I won’t cheat or no shit like that. That would be lame as fuck.” she frowned, clearly serious. “But if we can be an us, it’ll be just us. Just you.” her hand rested on his face as she waited patiently. If it was him, the rest of them wouldn’t matter.

They way she already knew that everything about Chris was different in the best possible way sometimes made her uncomfortable. It made her examine something she wasn't sure she was really ready to dig into but right now, she didn't have a choice. She couldn't, in good faith, deny it. The way she cared for this young man, the way he made her feel was more adult than she expected before she was even 21 but here she was, feeling some of the messiest feelings she'd ever had to deal with. It was kind of disgusting but she couldn't wait to keep feeling them.
