tbh the major plot points of the SE work very, very well w/ Dovewing's character, especially since my desired outcome is Dovewing leaving the Clans all the way back in OOTS, Dollhouse-style
Dove learns that she's pregnant, and since the Clans in general are both very conservative and embroiled in a crisis, she runs away to avoid ostracisation
She meets the Guardian cats, who are depicted as more peaceful, flexible, and tolerant than the Clans, as well as having an easier life, and don't know about her past as a prophecy cat. This is ideal for her, and she considers raising her kits here.
She meets Spire, who has strange dreams about the Clans telling him that Dove belongs in the Clans because they need her, much to her concern, and Blaze, an orphan who decides he wants to join the Clans based on Dove's description, also to her concern
Ivypool follows Dovewing, fulfilling Tigerheart's role, and she has a harder time fitting in with the Guardians, resulting in more conflict between the sisters. There's some deeper psychology stuff behind Dove and Ivy's motivations, but that's for another post.
Dove struggles as a mother, even with the Guardians & Ivy's help, mostly bc they're very young adults and have a lot of trauma-related baggage that they haven't resolved. Dove starts questioning if she really wants to be a mother, or that's just what Clan culture expected of her. She concludes the latter, and confides this to Ivy.
She reexamines her love triangle and slowly comes to the realization that she latched on to both Tiger and Bumble as much as she did because of her prophecy-induced isolation making her desperate for someone to be close to. She also discusses this w/ Ivy, which has its own revelations for Ivy but that's another story.
Ivy also gets some character development as she has to confront the reality staring her in the face: Dove is not happy with Clan life and will never be, and if Ivy cares about her, she should let her go.
Shadowkit has epilepsy and special visions, which is extra hard on Dovewing on account of the whole Clan-life-induced trauma.
Fog and her rogue gang are still there, but mostly so that Ivy can show off her Epic Dark Forest Skillz(tm). Between the rogues and the other dangers of city life, Dove starts to wonder if the city really is safe enough for her kits, especially since the Clans live further from Twolegs, are larger, and have better fighters to protect the kits.
She has some internal conflict regarding whether or not she should go back and fulfill the prophecy, let Blaze join the Clans, Shadowkit's visions, the validity of Spire's visions, etc. and settles on a compromise: she'll only return to the Clans to help them one last time, drop off Blaze and her kits, and then leave, only returning once a season. Ant and Cinnamon go with them for extra protection.
On the way back, they meet Berryheart (who's still pregnant) & Sparrowtail, who fled the Clans bc they found out about the Dark Forest. They question whether the Clans are worth fighting for, which prompts Dove & Ivy to give two different answers.
Spire still dies saving Pouncekit, but this time a DF spirit kills him, and Dove is fatally wounded by an gang of DF spirits while protecting the kits; Ivypool has the really fucking stupid idea of throwing Dove into the Moonpool thinking that since StarClan can grant extra lives and it needs Dove for her powers, they have to save her or else they'll lose the war against the DF
This somehow works, which causes a crisis in faith for both sisters
In the end, Dove and Ivy part ways. Ant & Cinnamon both stay in the Clans, partially out of pity since so many cats died, partially for Blaze's sake. Dove says goodbye to her family and her kits, has a heartfelt discussion w/ cats like Ivy, Briar, etc., and promises to visit them next season. Briar offers to raise Dove's kits for her.
Dove has a huge argument w/ Jay and Lion, who want her to stay, which ends with her calling them out for causing so much of her suffering, cutting ties with them, and leaving the Clans

Setsuko Okada – Bleach Oc.
Tumblr media
Name: Setsuko Okada;
Height: 5’9;
Occupation: formerly, third seat of the Fifth Division; later, she became the co-lieutenant of the Eleventh Division; currently, Captain of the Ninth Division;
Age: her appearence is that of a girl in her early twenties, albeit her soul age is something more than 125-years-old;
Affiliation: as a Captain, she is loyal to the Gotei 13; however, unbeknown to her fellow Captains, she was sent by the Captain Commander to spy on Sosuke Aizen and worked by his side to be able to pass on informations to the Soul Society: to prove her loyalty to him, she was forced to fight along his army during the fake Karakura battle;
Species: soul, born from two inhabitants of the Rukongai;
Sexuality: straight;
Partner(s): formerly, undefined relationship with Shuhei Hisagi (actually, still going on); currently, married to Sosuke Aizen (although she visits Muken every single day asking for a divorce). Nobody knows if they really had and have genuine feelings for each other. Considering he helped her escape Rukongai, they did;
Eye color: Setsuko has heterochromia, making her left eye pale blue and her right one forest green;
Hair color: chestnut brown, fading into purple when she unleashes her bankai;
Zanpakuto: Shitsuren (失恋), unrequited love;
Personality: short-tempered, but she is still working on it. Setsuko is actually a polite and, deep down, caring person, who barely judges people’s choices. Morally grey, she rarely takes a side. She is brilliant and cunning and, sometimes, she could give off the vibes of a standoffish and punctilious woman when it comes down to work. In battle, she is unforgiving and sadistic, thus making her Captain Zaraki’s favorite companion for sparring. She is definitely a party person, though, and she gets quite flirty when drunk.

BYAKUYA KUCHIKI: Too serious and uptight to strike up a conversation with. He’s too full of himself and would rather save his clan’s reputation than admit the laws are too retrograde to still exist. Ugh, stupid spoiled brat… Still, I like to prank him.
UNOHANA RETSU: Something’s off about her. No one is that terrifying and loving at the same time. I smell the blood of a pretty little liar. Overall, we get along, though… Mostly because Zaraki and I need her assistance after our training sessions.
JUSHIRO UKITAKE: He’s like the brother I never had. He doesn’t hesitate to scold me in front of the others, when I mess up. Yet, he can’t stay mad at me for too long. He’s such a sweetheart!
SHUNSUI KYORAKU: a partner in crime. He is pretty much my favorite person to share a drink with. We may have got in troubles together more than once and, maybe, our way of playfully flirting has gone too far once or twice. Nobody is going to know, right?
ZARAKI KENPACHI: My former Captain is a force of the nature. I admire that man so much! Sometimes I miss hanging around the Eleventh Division’s barracks. We still train together, though! We match scars on our eyes.
TOSHIRO HITSUGAYA: Arrogant kid. I don’t like him at all, but I guess he still needs time to mature. I pity Rangiku for keeping up with him every single day. Our relationship probably deteriorated because of his friendship with Hinamori Momo. To be honest, I don’t care.
GIN ICHIMARU: Too sneaky for my likings, but I am not easy to fool. He better watch his back around me. Not too bad to have a chit-chat with, but I can’t bring myself to trust him fully. Great shikai, though. When we were younger, he used to tug at my hair. I threw worms in his tub to get back at him.
SAJIN KOMAMURA: He’s a pure soul. Sometimes, we go to take strolls together in the Rukongai. He helps me to take care of orphan kids and never questions why my haori is stained in blood after I come back from ‘talking’ to the bastards causing problems in the districts.
SOIFON: Oh, right, Yoruichi’s dog. She’s a pain in the ass. If I catch her meddling into my business, I will tear her apart limb from limb. She’s not smarter than Omaeda, you know? Ugh, I hate her.
SOSUKE AIZEN: This man gives me migraines, but I owe him my life. He saved me from a life of misery. I love him, okay, I do. Yet, he is a bastard. Can you believe I married him? He’s a supportive partner to some extent and he’s great in be—. Uhm, he better rot in Muken.
MAYURI KUROTSUCHI: I heard a song in the World of the livings. It went like “Psycho killer. Qu'est-ce que c'est?”. Yep, that describes this freak. I mean, he’s a meanie and I don’t get along with him, but it can be interesting listening to him talking about his researches. Also, our zanpakutos are both based on poison.
YAMAMOTO GENRYUSAI: Respectable, but too keen to take matters in his own hands. All he does is giving orders and he doesn’t listen to anyone’s opinion. Still, he is the Captain Commander. I follows his orders, that’s all I have to do.
KANAME TOSEN: Justice here, justice there. Come on, has anybody ever told him to shut up? The world doesn’t revolve around justice. The world is unfair, so wake up to reality. There’s not such a thing as suprume justice. It’s all in his head, for God’s sake. Boring.

𝑩𝑨𝑪𝑲𝑺𝑻𝑶𝑹𝒀.
Setsuko Okada is a soul born in a disreputable district of the Rukongai. She has no memory of her parents, supposedly murdered by a local gang for some trivial dispute. Growing up in the streets, fed by an old woman who realized she had a great spiritual pressure, she played around the district with the local orphans. Shuhei Hisagi, albeit a little younger than her, was among her best friends and she always stood up for him during fights.
The hunger among the kids who possessed spiritual energy was too big to be satisfied by some rice and bread and some of her friends decided to blow a fetch at the head of a dangerous clan who controlled the food distribution in the district. When they did not come back, Setsuko sensed something was off and left the old woman’s house to search for them.
Finding out her friends were dead, she got blinded by rage and stabbed the man responsible of their deaths right in his eye. Too little and fragile to properly fight back and escape, she was captured and, as a payback for her aggression, the man scarred her face. Hungered and enslaved by the clan, she spent nearly two years alone in a cell, until someone pulled her out of her confinement to sell her out in the streets. It was in that occasion that she met Sosuke Aizen, a young Lieutenant of the Fifth Division.
Sensing her Spiritual pressure, he bought her and took her into the safe walls of the Seireitei. Stitched up, she spent a few nights in the barracks of the Fifth Division until she enrolled to the Academy and studied there until her graduation. During the night, Sosuke offered her the chance to train harder and learn some other fighting techniques not taught to the new recruits.
In her mind there was only the thirst for revenge that consumed her. As soon as the graduation party ended, she paid a visit to the Rukongai district where she came from and killed the members of the gang who had hurt her one by one.

• During a mission in the World of the livings with Shunsui, they ended up getting drunk and got arrested while in their gigai form. The shinigami sent to their rescue was Jushiro Ukitake, who signed a petition to ask Captain Yamamoto not to pair Captain Kyoraku and Captain Okada together in a mission ever again.
• During her time in Las Noches, she taught Ulquiorra some basics about human feelings and interactions. The Espada seemed to enjoy her company, however he never expressed his thoughts about their ‘friendship’, but gifted her a green hairpin, upon learning presents were a way to show gratitude among humans.
• She is kind with children and often visits the Rukongai to bring them food and gifts. If some kids have troubles with adults, she makes sure to keep them safe and handles the situation on her own. Most of the time, said people mysteriously disappear. Literally.
• When she left the Gotei temporary to follow Sosuke in Las Noches, Shuhei was the only one who did not believe that farce. To convince him she had made up her mind, she tossed him a necklace he had gifted her when they were kids and told him his own existance was a mistake. Those words hurt her more than they affected him.
• She is kind of a nerd and reads a lot of novels and manga from the World of the livings.
• The only two people who know she actually has feelings for Sosuke are Rangiku and Gin. Albeit they only married to establish a stronger hierarchy in Hueco Mundo, she actually did it for love. On the other hand, Sosuke cared for her and admired her a lot. He grew affectionate of her throughout the years, causing some feelings he despised to seep into his mind and heart. He denied them, but at the same time he refuses to set her free by agreeing on a divorce.
• When it comes down to food, she dislikes a few things, some of them being sushi, broccoli, savoy cabbage and strawberries. She has been addressed a picky eater by Shuhei more than once and he went to the extent to force feed her broccoli to shut her up during an argument. He was headbutted.
• Setsuko’s habit of picking scanty dresses irks Byakuya to no end and he constantly throws cloaks at her to cover up. Everyone knows about it and she got once dared to sneak into Byakuya’s chambers naked. His shouts could be heard in the entire Soul Society.
“You are shameless!”.
“Virgin boy”.
• She sold pictures of Ikkaku with the wig he had purchased in the World of the livings to earn money for the Shinigami Women’s Association. He never forgave her.
• Setsuko was and is the only one who doesn’t fear testing Sosuke’s patience with sassy and sarcastic comebacks.
“We haven’t discussed the chance to give the reign an heir”.
“That’s out of discussion. Fuck yourself and see if you get pregnant”.
• She loves going to concerts in the World of the livings and often asks Kisuke to buy her tickets for the events for when she visits Karakura. She makes sure not to tell Sosuke about it, or he would truly get free from Muken out of irritation.
• She is scared of millepedes and fainted in Jushiro’s arms, during a picnic.
• Ready to throw hands at any times, she loved wrestling with Grimmjow. Sosuke forbid them to indulge into such savages activities ever again, after spotting her straddling the Espada’s waist to tackle him down. Someone has jealousy problems. Naturally, he denied it all.

Characters: sun, macaque, sandy, pigsy, Bai long ma.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were just in the library of your family clan reading up on some of the spells your great, great, great, great grandfather; Tripitaka, or tang sazang, when you came across a interesting looking spell that seem like it was calling to you which made you unintentionally do that spell which brought you to now, in the past.
Sun wukong:
You had fallen on top of him when you met him and true others in the group you quickly apologized for falling on him when you fell before your fourth great grandfather had asked who you were and why were you falling in the first place.
You explain on how you were entranced by a spell that was made by your fourth great grandfather; Tripitaka, and unintentionally said it out loud which activated it which brung you to their timeline which is the past for you, very far in the past that is.
They were all shocked by the fact that you were tripitaka’s great, great, great, great granddaughter mostly Tripitaka as he is a Buddhist and they usually don’t marry, you soon explain how it’s possible and clearing his confusion by saying how that changed soon after they finished the journey and as long as the marriage doesn’t lead you of the path of enlightenment then it’s fine to marry.
When sun get’s in trouble with Tripitaka which made you quickly scold your grandfather as sun is still learning the Buddhists way and that reciting the chant will traumatize him if he keeps on doing that to him, you suggested a gentler approach for sun to help him not kill which made sun entranced by how gentle and caring you were even if your family still practice Buddhism (you can pick how much Buddhism that your family is.). You two soon get in a relationship albeit secretly only to Tripitaka as you noticed your grandfather’s overprotectiveness and wanted to slowly get him to notice you two being in a relationship so as to not get any negative reactions from him.
Though you soon had to go back to your time unwillingly which was by a demon that could do that but the demon know, al they know is that he can teleport anybody to somewhere out of his way that made sun angry and which resulted in the demons death. When you got back to your time it seems that time pasted faster and it was a year since you went missing to your family though while the family did a check up as per orders of your father, you soon were told that you were pregnant with a suns child which shocked your family upon this new discovery as well as you but you guess it was understandable the more you think about it.
you decided to take your now 3 month baby to a park for kids of that age. when it was an hour in of staying there your baby mk began to cry and repeat 'da da, da da!' you try to calm him down before someone intervene and helped you out with mk.
the male soon introduced himself as sun wukong that you knew and loved. you didn't realized until now as you had mostly been focused on the baby and the studies you need to get done to become the head of your clan. after that you too got to know each other again and you soon learned that sun had spent centuries trying to find you which made you sad and think it's your fault though sun soon reassured that it wasn't your fault.
Macaque:
Macaque had joined the group when you fell on sun which made him laugh so hard at sun’s predicament. You soon explained how you’re from the future and that you’re Tripitaka’s great, great, great, great granddaughter.
You also explained that the reason you got here was because of a spell you had unintentionally casted when it entranced you. After that you joined the group as Tripitaka didn’t want to leave you alone by yourself plus he wanted to know more of this spell that brought you here and how he was married even though Buddhism doesn’t allow you to marry, which you explain on how as long as you stay on the path of enlightenment then you’re free to marry and love your spouse.
You two got to know each other pretty soon and started dating after a month of spending time together. When you did tell the others about you two dating both pigsy and Tripitaka fainted, Tripitaka fainted because his granddaughters grew up too fast and pigsy because he wanted to date you but now couldn’t.
You and the group soon made a camping spot to rest gain energy again but as you rest in your tent you didn’t seem to notice that you’re fading with sparkles emanating from the disappearing limbs that started from your feet all the way up your chest before macaque came to check on you and woke you up in a panic as the sparkles reached up your shoulder and began to travel down your arms and head the last thing he sees before you disappeared was you reaching out and then you were completely gone which made him sank to the ground in shock as he look at the spot you were previously in as tears casted down his face.
You woke up to the face of your mother with her having a relieved look as she gently hugged you, she explained how you’ve been gone for a month now and the finally got you back with one of Tripitaka’s spell that seemed to reverse the one you accidentally casted on yourself with.
You were apparently with a child which made you blush at the reminder of what happened in the past. The days had past until it was three months after you’ve given birth to bai he a little girl that was adorable and most definitely bring ‘aww’s to anyone who looks at her.
You brung her to the park to help her get used to many environment and noises and so she can play around though the peaceful silence changed as your daughter started to cry, at first you started thinking that she was being bullied but she had started to calling out ‘da da!’ Which you guess she means her father which breaks your heart as you try to come her down until someone interrupts and asked if he could help, the voice is familiar before you noticed the same features bai he has is on him as well, it’s been a while since you thought about macaque with taking care of bai he and studying to become the head of your clan and all but all you had to do is say macaques name and the stranger smiled and say ‘glad you still remember me.’
Sandy:
Sandy had caught you when you met the group your fourth time grandfather was traveling with. You had fallen after chanting your fourth time great grandfather spell and thankfully he had caught you before you could get hurt.
It was then decided that you would stay with them until they figure out a way to get you back to your original time.
You two got in a relationship after 2 months as both of you were shy to confess each other and fear that the other only sees the other as a platonic spouse than a romantic one.
Though with the help of sun the two of you finally got into a relationship with the other.
You had gotten back to your time it was when they were fighting a demon that works with water, the demon had surprised you from behind and dragged you over to another part of the water is uses for their battles, Sandy had went after you but was too late as the demon seemed to have died by some light that covered you and the next thing sandy knew is that you were gone.
You woke up to your mothers face which had a concerned look making you question her on why she was making that face, she soon began to explain that they found you in the pond they had in the estate and that you were pregnant after they had a doctor check up on you as you had been gone for 3 months.
You had taken you child to the park that has a water park next to it as your child had a love for water and to run around. Soon enough your child had started to cry, you at first thought they had gotten hurt but it seems like they wanted their dada as they kept crying saying ‘da da!’ Someone came over as you were trying to calm them down and gently took them and began calming the child down, when you looked over you see sandy as you recognized that height he has and started to tear up as he pulls you in for a hug which you return.
Pigsy:
You were passed out on the ground near the path they were taking when they found you. After waking up and getting asked questions on who you are, you explained how you got her by a spell that your fourth time grandfather made as you felt a pull by it and unintentionally chanted it which brought you here.
They were all shocked that you’re the great, great, great, great granddaughter of Tripitaka, pigsy flirts with you every chance he gets, even though you don’t like those type of men pigsy seem to have snuck into your heart.
All of the group was shocked that you and pigsy got together, Tripitaka has grown overprotective of you after you and Pigsy started your relationship as he knows from his flirtatious ways and make sure to let pigsy know that if he hurts you then Tripitaka won’t hold sun back as sun started thinking of you as a sister.
You had appeared back in your time after a demon kidnapped you when you and the others were taking rest in the camp that you and the others made and in a panic you quickly chanted the spell that got you here out of desperation which took you back in your time.
Pigsy had threatened the demon that tried kidnapped you only to find out you had disappeared to your time via the chant that brought you here in the first place.
You had taken your son; tang, to the park but afterwards went to a noodle shop for some food and met a pig demon that was the owner and the cook. Tang had started to cry which made you panic as he usually doesn’t do that much though the owner; pigsy, gestured to hand tang over for a minute and was able to calm him down and then you realized that this was the same pigsy you grew to love in your time in the past.
Bai long ma:
Bai had found you when he was trying to find a watering hole to drink from as the others rest up at the camp.
He had woken you up by transforming into his more human form by gently stroking your cheek making it tickle.
(Ao lie in lmk is so cute and adorable!! Though I haven’t seen it yet so please no spoilers, thank you!)
He had brought you back to the group via carrying you in his arms as you explained how you got here to him, he was the one that explained to the others as you already explained it and he thought you didn’t want to explain again.
The others were shocked as he was to find out that your Tripitaka’s four times great granddaughter.
You two got to know each soon after most of the time Bai would be in his human form unless your grandfather needs him to change into his horse form. You had gotten into a relationship with Bai long ma after a month of spending time in the past but apparently you had spend enough time there and was brought back to your time soon after.
You returned to your time seeing both your mother and father looking at you with both relief and concern on their faces before explaining how long you’ve been gone and how you’ve been asleep since yesterday when they found you and how they found out you’re pregnant.
Instead of the park you went to Bai long ma’s family descendant that is related to him by one of of his siblings, you had wanted to introduce them your baby seeing as she and them are basically related. Apparently they are having a guest with them that seems familiar to you though mei brought attention to you two by wailing sand reaching out to that familiar figure that you soon realized is Bai long ma, or in shorter term, ao lie.
(A/n: I hope you like what I did with it!! Also hope you like the surprise on who the baby is! 😁 anyway, hope y’all have a wonderful day/evening/night!!! Bye!)
The joke’s on me. (Exile)
Tumblr media
After you have finally escaped the brutality of Quaritch, your feet wandered carelessly to Eywa-knows where. With no clan to return to, you will never guess where you end up at— the root of it all.
“How could I have brought war back to you if it never left the first place? Do not put the blame on me, oh great mighty warrior, I have already been long shouldering my clan’s battle cries— you have no idea.” (first part)
Content and warnings: Jake Sully x Reader! Age gap (reader is in her 20s while jake is mid 30s.) Mention of death/violence. Important author’s note at the end, do read it to avoid confusion!
Run.
You don’t know where to, you don’t know until when— your feet carried blisters and scratches along the unfamiliar pathway and harsh debris. It has been days, you kept in mind, but the adrenaline from escaping the cold shackles from that wretched place fueled you to keep going. You have no idea how long you were held captive and you couldn’t be bothered to know; the more you remained, the more the prayers grew desperate— death was already a blessing. All the test, the blood, and skin drawn was enough reason to keep going.
Miles Quaritch, you’ve learned, his name etched in every fiber of your being. You would come back for him—you won’t rest until he suffers on your very hands.
Your legs betrayed you, however, now wobbling from the fatigue. The rush was wearing off and the bruises stung all together. Eywa please give me strength, you faltered, just a bit more. You cried out for your Ikran one last time and still it was nowhere to be found no matter how much you screeched your lungs out, but you refused to mourn for another in such a short time. She is alive and probably far off.
Finally, you stopped. It was pouring and you scrambled to drink from the large leaves, the relief slightly burning your sore throat. You grunted loudly in exhaustion, trying to wash your face from the muck and the icky feeling of dry blood. There was no time to cry nor any to process your grief— you needed help and you needed it fast. The sky people remain among them and they would stop at nothing to get what they want.
In the distance, someone scurries at the sight of an unfamiliar na’vi on hunting territory. He hid himself before all the greenery while clutching the loaded bow, ready to retaliate. You were in apparent distress, but he couldn’t falter on a possible enemy.
“Who are you?” And that was his mistake, making himself known. Now terribly alarmed, you quickly ran to blend with your surroundings, immediately catching him off guard. He frantically examined the place— plants, trees, more plants. He readied his bow, movements sharp and steady.
You were never taught to conflict with danger face first so with quiet steps, you sneaked behind him, twisting him harshly by the mouth and pinning him down. He gulped, feeling the sharp make-shift dagger inches from his throat. Only now did you get a good look of his face—he was a kid. His breathing deepened, clearly panicked from the full grown Na’vi taking him down.
“Who are you?” This time you asked, inching the weapon closer.
“Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan” He answered after a beat, “From the Omatikaya Clan. I did not intend to frighten you, let alone do harm.”
“Yet you draw out your bow, boy?”
“You’ve frightened me,” Your grip slowly loosened as you finally stood, grabbing him by the hand to pull him up. “What are you doing outside territory?”
“Take me to your Tsahik and you will get your answers.” Unconsciously dusting his back from the dirt, you take a good look at him, checking if you did anything serious.
The younger was troubled—troubled between following an elder and possibly bringing home danger. Neteyam was a good kid, you can tell by the way his tone remained gentle despite the situation. Placing a hand on his shoulder, you gave him a stiff grin of reassurance. “You will need my help, trust me.”
“You brought home a stranger?” Their voices were loud inside their home, despite their effort of keeping it down. It started with them whispering, then shouting, then whispering again. They scolded each other and you could only feel a bit sorry for Neteyam who agreed to take you to their place shortly after.
“What was I to do? Leave her alone while the night approaches?” He reasoned, “She needed help and I got her here, that’s it. If she turns out to be a problem, let father take care of her.”
“Not until father skins you first,”
“Lo’ak you’re not helping.”
Horns blasted in the distance, a signal of arrival. Your head turned to the once empty space, now crowded with eager onlookers. They welcomed the approaching warriors, a few to check up on their loved ones. There was a tug on your heartstrings as you watched the families—the parents and their children.
The flap from behind opens as the four quickly go out, the little one smiling from ear to ear as she yells out “Sempul!”. Your eyes followed to where she ran to, the others walking right after. Your chest tightened and you noticed the change in your demeanor.
In all of his glory, the Toruk Makto. A button was pushed the moment he dismounted his Ikran, scanning the crowd that slowly surrounded him and the other warriors—your insides were on fire and both your palms balled tightly. He was here—no. You were here. In his home. You.
You felt ridiculed, almost as if what had happened was a big punchline. You have only known this man from stories— from the songs of your folk! How could you have possibly known that you’d somewhat follow his very son to his clan? The consequence of his stay bred conflict— his very presence a menace. It resulted in the death of many, including your family. You needed someone to blame; someone to help carry the burden of bloodshed and you shamelessly threw it on him. In your mind, you hurt him over and over.
Jake Sully, the second name you’ve learned that had wronged you terribly. You wanted nothing more than to claw his eyes out—to draw blood.
He embraced his family lovingly; you noticed the lack of presence from a mother, but you couldn’t care less. You were fuming, almost as if smoke blew from your ears. Kiri whispers something to his ear and immediately, his eyes are on you, staring intently.
“Who are you?” He asked, walking towards your unmoving figure near his home. His hand was tightly gripping your forearm as he pulled you close. Jake Sully knew that he shouldn’t be too welcoming in times like this; there were already multiple reports of dream walkers outside their vicinity and he couldn’t risk the safety of his clan—of his family, but you couldn’t speak at all. Your gaze was hard on him and he felt uneasy. “Speak or you leave.”
His accent was thick and his tone dripped of authority, but his insides churned in worry. He scanned your features; the stripes that traveled your face and the dots littered across—but most of all, it was the many wounds he noticed. You were scared yet the strong gaze you held almost said otherwise.
“Let go, skxawng!” You hissed, almost like his mere touch had singed your skin.
“Skxawng?” He looked at you incredulously.
“Yes, you--!” And before you could tell him the ugliest profanities known to Pandora, a voice from the background halts both of you.
“Eywa has expected you here,” The Tsahik interrupted before the horde and in an instant, all eyes were on her. She walked towards us, gaze unwavering, “Let her stay.”
And that must have been the cruelest joke the great mother has bestowed— for you to find rest from the root of it all. You could feel the anguish heighten, drowning your already aching body. Then suddenly, the overlapping whispers tuned themselves out as your vision unfocused.
“No, I was only about to leave.” But it has been days, you reminded yourself; days of running, of hiding, and finding food. Every step you took, your feet wobbled—whether it was from exhaustion or the overwhelming silence, you didn’t know. However, after a quick breath, you collapsed. While the exhaustion finally made its way in your entirety, you have found warmth on somebody’s arms.
You were pretty like this, he thought. Unlike the harsh approach a while ago, your still figure and relaxed visage was a stark contrast to today’s incident. Mo’at had already tended to your wounds and asked Jake Sully to watch over you– and watch, he did.
The lit torches scattered generously around the hut casted a glowing beam on your face as if it was intended for you to be seen like this; in a different light– but he couldn’t shake off the snarl off your face prior to meeting him. The great mother had intended this, but why? Your sudden movements startled him out of his chain of thoughts and only now did he realize he was staring.
“Tsahik?” You groaned,
“Wrong, try again.” His voice was enough for you to finally pry your eyes open and you were met with his tilted head, analyzing your every move. “She went to rest, it is already late.”
“So you think it’s okay to stare at a woman while she’s vulnerable?”
“You’re killing me here,” Jake stood, gathering the fruits he prepared beforehand.
Jake continued talking but his words drowned under the loudness of your thoughts– this was real and he was right in front of you; to let your emotions burst right here and now would be a mistake, so you kept it– now buried along the tears still unshed. It was cruel– cruel cruel cruel cruel cruel and you could only swallow loudly. If Jake had noticed the change in your demeanor, he doesn’t comment about it and passes you the now chopped food.
“Sky people,” Your eyes finally met his as you carefully formed the words needed to be said, “They have attacked our home and I could only run.” half a lie.
“And your family? Are they–”
“They are fine. They managed to save themselves and only I was separated.” You took a bite from the fruit and you slightly coughed– your throat was on fire and it hurt to gulp down.” But right now I need help to return to them. I want to fight back.”
And there it was again, the glint in your eyes. “Slow down, do you even know the way back to your clan?”
Your appetite was immediately gone after the question, your head hung low. You tried to remember– but you could only visualize all the red and darkness; the roughness of their hands and how they inflicted pain. “No, but it’s not enough reason for me to stop.”
“They are coming for you, Toruk Makto.”
His face visibly grimaced from the title, even flinching a bit. The fire crackled loudly and you both sat in overwhelming silence.
“Get some rest, we have a lot to do.” He stood and gathered his things, stepping forward the exit of the hut.
“We have a lot to do– what do you mean?”
“You want to return to your clan, no?” He looked back to your figure, an expression painted on his face that you couldn’t quite decipher. “We must act immediately– tomorrow.”
☆ mauve here! i'm so so sorry to disappoint, but i have changed the pairings to jake sully x reader instead of neteyam. i often start my writings with no plans whatsoever /and honestly, it is such a bad trait of mine and now it's biting me right in the ass/ so pairing it with neteyam was an impulsive decision because i had no actual idea for how the fic was gonna work out (i think as i write) and now that i've written the second part, i realized how the plot would suit jake more.
with that being said, i will not be tagging anyone who asked to be on the list because they might have been expecting neteyam;((( i'm really sorry and i hope it isn't at all weird, switching to his literal father. however, if people do find this weird, i have no problems with taking it down and starting anew!
i will still be writing for neteyam! just not in this series. i have a dozen more drafts and i wish to finish all of it. i also take requests! <3
The angel of crown.
Tumblr media
Kinda sad, it covers delicate topics. But I promise I will make it a happy story at the end tehee.
Part 3
- Mama and papa!
The room fell silence. Everyone looked at the little girl with a serious expression, Victor took away the family portrait.
- No dear, they are evil... - Victor answered. - Elbert play with her, we will discuss this later.
Elbert seemed confused, everyone was and they all wanted questions.
- What the hell's the child of those bastards here? - Jude asked frowning.
- Before you get angry she is a victim here, she won't get us in any trouble with this mission. - William said trying to calm everyone.
- You mean her own family abused her? - Alfons asked?
- Yes, the people she could trust abandoned her and let her be abused. - Victor said and sighed.
- Ha... I have hear this story before. - Alfons whispered to himself. - Kinda similar.
Everyone was silent. No one dare to speak, the girl's situation got everyone stunned, not like they haven't heard these kind of situation but having it so close to them.
- But how did she escape then? - Liam asked.
- She used her curse. - Victor answered. - When she was found she had a kind of protective shield around her.
- A protective Shield? - Roger asks. - Well, That's an interesting curse...
As they were talking Elbert entered the room again with the little girl in her arms.
- She triet to eat a rat! - Elbert said worried.
- She what? - Roger asked.
Roger ran to the girl to check on her.
- Why would you do that? - Roger asked to the girl. - Rats bring illines and a lot of stuff that could hurt you little girl.
Jude stepped to the girl. He looked down on him the little girl seems confused the he finally spoke.
- Hey, kid...
- What? - She asked.
- Are rats delicious?
- What are you asking? - Roger asked Jude.
- Wait, I kind see where he is going. - Alfons stopped Roger.
The girl seems to think for a while then looked back at Jude.
- No.
- Why ya eat 'em then?
The girl seems to think a lot but can't come to an answer.
- Ah! I see! - Alfons clapped. - Let me guess little girl, you are afraid of not having food in the future, you eat whatever you find?
The girl seems to make the connection and nods.
- Then she probably has eaten rats before, I will check her again. - Roger said.
- And we need to teach her that she has a lot of food here! - Liam said.
- By the way, we should name her... She doesn't even have a name and I don't thunk we can keep calling her "girl" and "kid". - Ellis answered.
- Let's call her Victoria! - Victor suggested.
- No. - William answered. - Let's think of options and then let her chose.
---------------------------------------------------
At nigh, Harry sat on the dining table, he didn't have a mission so he had to take care of the girl.
- So... Uh... - Harry sighed. - You wanna hear a story?
- Story? Yes! - The girl answered.
- Well, finish dinner and I will tell you a bed story for you to sleep.
The girl nooded and kept eating her dinner, she was still having hard time using spoons so she was still eating with her hands, Harry started to think what kind of story he would tell her.
As she finished Harry took her and went to clan her hands and face, then takes her to the room Victoe designed for her. He put her in bed.
- Okay now story time.
- Can you tell me the story of the red riding hood girl?
- Oh sure.
Harry let her get comfortable in the bed as she hugs the doll Ellis gave her.
- Once upon a time a little girl that always wore a red hood, one day her mother gave her some food for the red hood girl to take it to her grandmother who lived in the middle of the forest...
- Papa Harry.
Harry stopped a moment at how she called him but she shake it off.
- What is it?
- That's not how the story goes.
- No? Then how?
- The girl is the food.
- ... No... That's not the story...
- No?
- No... I think your parents told you a wrong story.
- Then continue with the right story.
- Right.
Harry kept telling her the story he knew and the one he considered more adecuate to a child. The girl soon get sleepy.
- Good night, Papa Harry.
The girl said and fell asleep. Harry stayed looking at her.
- I'm not your papa...
In that moment Victor entered.
- Is she asleep already?
- Yes, I told her a bed story.
- How kind of you!- Victor raised his voice a little.
- Shhhh... - Harry shut him.
- Upps...
Victor laughed a bit and they walked out of the room.
- Thanks for watching over her.
- No problem... I guess.
- Well, you can go and rest... - Victor started to walk away. - Good night... Papa Harry.
A Tale For A Mouse, part 3
Part 1, part 2
Being young, I trusted my parents beyond any rhyme or reason. If anyone could solve that mystery, I thought, it had to be her. So I dragged my newfound ghost-friend back home, directly into a tribunal clan-court.
Do not give me that blank look. Have you never heard of the forest tribunal clan-courts? They were infamous back in my day! I say, you humans just do not know how to appreciate other cultures. Not that the foresters have much of a culture anymore.
I suppose I shall tell you about them, then. Once a sixteen-day, everyone in the clan, from the greatest warrior to the meekest hearth-tender, gets together to hear the wise words of our clan leader and her mate. In my time, the Ko-clan's chieftain was my beloved mother, Ji-annansciel the Kind.
Wait— Kind is not the correct translation of that word. Us spirits have never considered charity to be a good thing. It is a weakness, a ‘softness’.
Yes, that is the word. Soft. Ji-annansciel the Soft. She had many fascinating ideas, like not hunting children for sport and eating them before their mothers. Strange woman, my mother was. I suppose it was the only thing that saved Berry, when we put her upon the stand before a crew of hungry spirits who did not particularly care if they feasted upon a harpy or a ghost.
Yes, little one, before you ask any more, spirits and ghosts are similar visually. Yes, to the untrained eye, we are sister-species. And yes, if you attempt to suggest this to any spirit, you will find your head on a platter long before you get a chance to finish your sentence.
Us spirits have long laboured to clear our good names from the mortal-tainted ghosts. That is why we have little tolerance for them. Even my mother, may her too-big heart rest in pieces, could only muster a grimace of distaste upon seeing Berry.
If I had been any older, I suppose I might well have killed her back in that shack, and saved us all the trouble. But that would have meant my own death, too, the death of the person she made me into. So I guess I am glad I was young enough to love her truly, in that way only little ones know how to.
In any case, the tribunal did not approve of a mere boy dragging a filthy ghost before them all. We were unceremoniously thrown aside, her into a cell and me into my father's study, to be punished appropriately. I still have the scars on my back from my father's rage that day, for the whipping he gave me nearly left me dead.
His words cut deeper, however. He told me his plans for Berry, of the things the whole clan would do when they finished dealing with serious matters, things that would rip my pure-hearted friend to shreds, physically and otherwise, things that I could not allow him to carry through with.
So, when he left me lying on the floor in a pool of my own ectoplasm, laughing at my weakness, I struck. In hindsight, I do wonder why I had not thought of it before. It was laughably easy to carry out, with no planning necessary. So easy, and so very delicious.
What did I do? Little mouse, is it not obvious? Do I need to spell out just what I did to save my friend?
Why, I ripped my father's throat out with my bare teeth, and gulped down his life like it were my own! Goodness, it makes me hungry even thinking about it. Someone ought to go tell the chefs that I want one of the death-row fools roasted for dinner.
first of all I hope you're resting and recovering well! 😭
secondly I don't know if you do any small promts requests but if you do, I would love to read your take on reader being in love with loak but gets heartbroken seeing him with some other girl and neteyam is there to quickly console reader. idk what endgame tbh i just love the attention from both brothers so i guess loak x reader x neteyam? 😭😭😭
Thanks love 🤍 I don’t mind doing requests but just a warning that I don’t know much about how it all works. So I’ll just write whatever comes to mind:
As you made your way through the crowd of clan people dancing around in pairs, your gaze fall on Lo’ak and what seems to be someone from the group of girls standing at the side, squealing and giggling at the pair dancing together. Your heart immediately sank at the recognition of who that girl was; Kie’ra. The one who is well known for in the clan for being the best singer. The one girl whom Lo’ak had been showing interests in, for the past month. You had believed it to be nothing serious when he would start bringing her name up at random times, thinking she held no candles to you in his heart, as you knew you had something between the two of you that wasn’t ever spoken about but it had been there, clear as a day. He had always been very protective of you and was always around you. But the past weeks, he had become distant. You didn’t have it in you to confront him about it so you just let it all unfold, making you both even more distant than ever. You hadn’t spoken in a week and tonight, you had hoped to get him to talk no matter what. That was all you could think of as you waded through the crowd until you saw them, close and intimate. A slight smirk gracing Lo’ak’s face as he had both his hands placed on her hips, while her arms were wrapped around his neck, bodies swaying in sync. You hadn’t realised you were stood shock-still at the scene unfolding infront of you until a hand gently patted on your shoulder, making you snap out of your thoughts and turning around to find none other than the older brother of the one guy you had given all your hearts to, smiling down at you warmly. At the sight of him, you immediately tear up and Neteyam is quick to check up on you, holding your shoulders, head tilting down to look at your hiding face and throwing a bunch of questions your way. “hey, hey, it’s okay. I got you. What happened? Y/n, please look at me. Can you tell me what’s wro—“ until his sight falls on the figures behind you, having to double-take, and everything seemed to click then, in his head. There was no more of the same questions thrown your way, just whispering reassurances with some cusses under his breath as he makes way for both of you to a more secluded area.
After having calmed down, Neteyam had guided you back to the crowd for a lil dance with him to make you feel better. You couldn’t stop looking their way though, for the first few minutes and Neteyam took it upon himself to get your attention back on him. His hands sliding away from yours to find your waist, pulling you in closer, and you gasp, eyes finding his in question for the sudden act. All you got in return is a playful smile though and you couldn’t help your own that broke out. You decided then to just enjoy your time with the playful older brother. As you both danced around each other, with each other, you couldn’t help but feel like crying on the inside at the sight of Neteyam with his wide grin, feeling so loved and cared for. You felt so grateful for what he was doing and that thought and feeling alone made you want to give him everything. Growing up, Neteyam had always been like a big brother to you as you and lo’ak often got into troubles together. He was always there to save your both’s asses and you had admired him a lot on top of it all. Seeing him infront of you now, smiling reassuringly down at you as you’re both dancing in the crowd, you wonder if things would’ve been a lot different if only you had fallen for the older brother instead. The one who always made you feel safe whenever he was around. The one who always listened and made you feel heard and understood. The one who’s always the first to comfort you whenever you were upset. You wondered how you had fallen for the other brother instead. With these thoughts in mind as you still looked at Neteyam smiling down at you, oblivious to what was going on inside your head; you inch closer to him, arms finding his neck, tip toeing, you place a light kiss on his cheek.
Not having seen that coming, Neteyam was stood dumbfounded for a few seconds until he let out a small chuckle, shaking his head and jokingly asking if you had mistaken him for his brother. You were about to play it off as it being a friendly kiss, worried that he might think lowly of you for jumping on him the moment you see the one you’ve always loved being intimate with some other girl— until you notice the slight blush gracing his cheeks. You didn’t know what it meant exactly. Was he embarrassed to be kissed openly like this in the public by someone whom he probably has always considered a younger sister? Or has he never thought of you like a little sister and actually liked the small kiss you gave him? You wanted to know. So you do the last thing you had expected to do at this clan party tonight when you were getting dressed up for it earlier: dragging one hand down his neck to his muscled pecks while the other stayed in place around his neck, you inch closer to his ears and whisper words that has his eyes widening, pupil dilating for a split second until he’s pulling you back, searching your eyes for an answer. You only smiled as you head in to connect your lips.
Unaware of your surroundings, you don’t notice the pair of hardened eyes on the both of you. More so on you. Jaw clenched as they take in how good you looked tonight but you were with someone else and the hands that held your wide hips as you leaned in to kiss the man infront of you belonged to none other than his very own brother. Not knowing how to process all this, Lo’ak leaves the crowd immediately, leaving his dance partner confused and trailing after him.
I feel like Noritoshi’s arc in the Sakurajima arc recently had a really weird and unsatisfying conclusion. Like his problem was that he’d been abandoned by both his families essentially, his clan no longer needed him as their heir, and his mother had replaced him with a new son and husband. So for someone who’s dedicated his life to his duty to both of those families, he essentially has nothing to live for.
Except his mother does love him actually. His problem was basically imagined. He just didn’t talk to his mother, so he didn’t know she still loved him. His arc feels trivial, nothing actually serious despite his borderline suicidal actions, he just misunderstood because he didn’t wanna talk with his mum I guess.
Personally I was interested in seeing how he could learn to establish himself as an individual and not just a member of a family, or even if Gege would just let him play out how self destructive Noritoshi would become as a result of losing everything, a sort of parallel to Geto’s arc.
Does any of this mean anything to you? Thanks anyway for reading
Tumblr media
Yeah, Kamo Noritoshi's arc suffers from a rushed conclusion. Both Kamo and Mai seem like characters who were set up for larger character development arcs until Gege wanted to start tying up loose ends at a faster rate so he cut their arcs short. If anything I have seen Kamo's main character flaw and trouble is that he is essentially a child who is forced to act in the role of an adult.
Parentification, or parent-child role reversal is the process of role reversal whereby a child or adolescent is obliged to act as a parent to their own parent or sibling. Two distinct times of parentification have been identified technically: instrumental parentification and emotional parentification. Instrumental parentification involves the child completing physical tass for the family, such as looking after a sick relative, paying bills, or providing assistance to younger siblings that would normally be provided by parent. Emotional parentification occurs when a child or adolescent must take on the role of confidante or mediator for parents or family members.
Kamo's central problem is that his mom who should have been his guardian or caretaker, instead left the clan and left him at the mercy of the clan. Not only does Kamo have no parent besides a neglectful father who only seems to see him as a successor because of his Jujutsu Technique, but Kamo now believes that it is his responsibility to protect his mother. Because his mother has been bullied out of the clan and left, the child now believes it is their job to make the clan a safer place for his mother when it should have been the other way around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kamo's mother made two pretty big mistakes, number one she let him see her distress at being treated by the clan and let him believe it was his responsibility to protect her, and number two she just left him there when she left the clan. She may have not had much power in that situation, but you know who had no power whatsoever? Kamo. He was just a child. He didn't choose to be born. He didn't choose to have an affair with Kamo's father.
Kamo is born out of infidelity, his mother is relentlessly bullied because of that infidelity until she leaves, but she also as his only loving parental figure leaves him there. Kamo then internalizes two false lessons from this, one that if he can make the clan a better place for his mother his mother will come back, number two it's his job to make the clan better and protect his mother.
Kamo essentially believes he has to parent the parent. Kamo is the result of adult responsibilities being thrust onto a child because of the carelessness of both of his parents. Which makes sense, because he's a child of infidelity, he was a bastard that was never meant to be conceived unlike his mother's new child, with her new husband.
Even if Gege meant it to be protrayed as a happy ending that Kamo wasn't really replaced and his mother is waiting for him to make contact, his mother still seems incredibly careless and callous to her child's well being to me. She left him in an abusive home. She straight up walked out and left him there. She gave birth to him, she has an obligation to raise and protect him and she totally failed in that obligation.
Kamo believing if he does the right thing, or reforms the clan from the inside, or if he's good enough he can get his mother back is in response to his mother his only good parent leaving him.
Kamo is forced to play the role of responsible adult because neither of his parent's did in his life. Apparently, his mother knows he's still out there and her new family knows her first son exists but she's not even bothering to try and make contact with him.
Tumblr media
It's his mother's responsibility to do that, not Kamo's! If what she wanted all along was for him to ditch them and come home to her then why not bring him with in the first place? Why not run away with him? Kamo's mother is still essentially putting the responsibility of reconnecting with Kamo entirely on him when she fully has the ability to reach out and communicate with him.
Tumblr media
Just like how she gave him that name without really thinking of what it meant, just giving him a cursed name because she was angry without thinking of the full implications, Kamo's mom doesn't really think about what it's her responsibility to do as a mother. If Kamo's mother wanted him to come home she definitely didn't communicate that. What she told him was that she had to leave, so he could be the heir of the clan and she wouldn't hold him back anymore. She didn't so much make a selfless sacrifice so Kamo could have a better life as the family heir, as ditch the kid so she could leave.
Kamo is a child. He can only understand things the way a teenager would. It's his mother's job to communicate. It's his mother's job to make him understand. It's his mother's job to be the adult in the relationship, but for Kamo she's not. This is probably the last we're getting of Kamo's arc, but it really has not been resolved. A proper ending would have been his mother taking responsibility and being the adult, so he could be allowed to be a child again.
Tumblr media
It's not really Kamo who should have to change, or figure out what his mother wants here, because his whole flaw is thinking he had to be the parent to his mother and not the other way around. The ideal ending for Kamo's arc should be someone telling him it's okay if he couldn't become head of the clan because that wasn't his responsibility in the first place. He didn't need to be an adult or anyone special. It was just okay for him to be her son.
Tumblr media
His mother should really be the one to reach out and tell him these things, it shouldn't be Kamo's responsibility because he's already taken on far too much responsibility himself. At least there's a small hopeful note that Kamo might now have the confidence to talk to his mother when he didn't before, but that's it.
A dream come true? Or an unfortunate ending to a business dinner
Part of pill0wc4se’s Kinktober
Aphrodisiacs feat. Thomato | nsfw
refer to the ao3 post for additional tags
Summary:
Ayato comes home from his business dinner and his trusted housekeeper finds him in a state of distress. Is Thoma capable of helping his master out?
Words: 2k
Ayato had just come back from a business dinner. Soon after finishing his dessert, he felt ill and made his way to the estate as soon as he could.
“No, Thoma! Please wait. Could you come in for a minute?” Thoma thought his master sounded much more worn out than how he usually spoke after a long day of work. “Oh and you don’t have to turn away, Thoma.”
The housekeeper was surprised by Ayato’s request, seeing the condition his master was in. This didn’t stop him from stepping into the room though. “What is it I can help you with, my lord? You seem tired. Do you want me to make you some tea or prepare a bath for you?” Thoma inquired as he pushed the door shut behind him.
“No, it’s more of a…” Ayato paused. ”personal request.” It took him a bit of effort, but he sat up in his bed to look at least a bit more proper. Although Thoma still thought that his master looked quite indecent.
“You see,” He started explaining. “At the business dinner I had with the head of the Kujou Clan…” He looked even more uncomfortable now, looking down at his clothes. “I think I got drugged.” Ayato looked up at his housekeeper as if he was awaiting a response, which didn’t take long to come out of Thoma’s mouth.
"Oh!" He exclaimed. “Do you need me to contact a doctor?” He reached for Ayato’s shoulders out of reflex after he just sat down on the edge of his master’s bed.
“I don’t think that is needed. I believe you should be capable of” he looked down at his crotch “helping me out yourself.”
Only then Thoma had seen that the head of the Kamisato Clan, in fact, had a huge bulge in his white pants. He was decent enough to keep his bottoms closed and not just whip it out in front of Thoma, but even this situation made the housekeeper nervous enough still, that he was at a loss for words.
“I apologize for asking this of you, but would you help me sort this out? It is quite distressing and I can’t seem to satisfy myself enough.” Ayato’s tone changed and he didn’t sound as serious as before but rather desperate.
Thoma could tell by the tone and the facial expression, that his master craved the touch of another person in this situation very greatly. He was squirming so much already that Thoma felt like he couldn’t refuse anymore. Though was it a bad thing?
Thoma had fantasized about a situation like this already. A moment where his master would ask him for a favor of this kind. He’d act all hesitant, even though he’s already thought about what movements would be to his master’s liking so many times.
The housekeeper got caught up in his thoughts, but soon he got pulled out of his fantasies by Ayato, who’s suddenly moved over on the bed a little too close to him by Thoma’s assessment. Ayato was basically clinging to his housekeeper by now. He had placed his left hand between Thoma’s legs, pushing them apart. His other hand wandered toward the neck of Thoma, who was already quite flustered now by this sudden closeness.
“Oh, getting all touchy? I haven’t even said anything yet! But if it’s you, waka, I guess I can help you out,” Thoma supposed, as he accustomed himself to the contact between the two of them. He reached out for Ayato’s waist and pulled his troubled master closer to himself.
Ayato was incredibly alleviated hearing these words, but could not bring himself to respond with anything. He instead pressed Thoma against the wall, making him bend his knees involuntarily.
Ayato took this chance to place himself in front of Thoma, who slowly got the hang of things and placed his hands below the hasty one’s armpits. “Do you want me to help you lose some layers? It seems you struggled with that quite a bit before I came in.” Thoma’s tone wasn’t suggestive. It rather conveyed his feelings of deep care for his master.
Ayato looked up at his housekeeper, only to see the way Thoma was gazing at him. The expression in his eyes could only be described as how a loving wife would look at her husband when he returns home tired from work.
The young lord forgot all his troubles for a moment. “Yes, please!” Thoma had never heard Ayato sound so desperate. This realization made his heart skip a beat.
Thinking about finally getting rid of the bothering layers of clothing, made Ayato whimper softly. He was getting impatient and started rubbing himself against Thoma’s thigh, starting to pant in pleasure from the sensation of his ever growing bulge getting stimulated.
Thoma skillfully removed his master’s top layers, but hesitated when reaching the last one. He was too impatient to contemplate his actions now though and took it off, revealing Ayato’s bare skin. Pure like porcelain, with only a few moles to avert one’s gaze from his pink-ish nipples, that were quite hard as of now.
Seeing the head of the Kamisato Clan this vulnerable, made Thoma tip over the edge. He bucked his hips at Ayato, trying to match his rhythm. Both were now panting as their cocks rubbed against the other.
“May I touch you, my lord?” Not wanting to wait for an answer, Thoma brought his hands to the sides of the man, who clinged onto him as if he’s not been touched in years, receiving a weak ‘yes’ in response.
“Can I-“ Ayato asked in between moans and groans “take off my pants please? It's been bothering me for too long now.” The pitch of his voice shifted upward, making him sound even needier than he already was.
Thoma realized that his fantasies, that he’s had since he started working for the Kamisato Clan, would really come true. He groaned in response, not being able to form a sentence.
The young lord looked at him and got greeted by a pair of surprised, but dazed green eyes. Ayato did not get to look into them for too long, because Thoma decided to get in charge of the situation. He grabbed Ayato by his waist and flung him over, so that he could get on top. He caught the man by surprise when he started to unzip the flustered one’s pants. Ayato pleaded for Thoma to be careful since he was very sensitive right now.
“I know, I‘ll be careful, my lord,” Thoma mused, as he eyed Ayato’s bulge. He slowly slid down the flustered one’s now way too tight bottoms, teasing him.
“Please, hurry up. I can’t wait any longer. Please!” The almost completely exposed one could only whimper for Thoma to please him. The sounds Ayato made, put a smirk on the housekeeper’s face. He crouched over the squirming man, bringing his face close to the goal. Using his teeth, he pulled down his master’s white silk undergarments, exposing Ayato’s member that was already twitching and leaking precum from its tip. Freeing it from the clothing’s pressure made Ayato moan in relief.
For a brief moment the housekeeper had worried that his master’s sister Ayaka would hear them, but being this close to having his dreams come true, made him forget about everything else. He wanted to be there to please his master, make him feel better than anyone else ever could.
Thoma stayed crouched over the young lord, like a person crouching over their lover would, and started to kiss Ayato’s soft thighs. The sensation drove the one on the receiving end to a point where anything would feel liberating. Whether it be soft lips on his own or a rough hand torturing his cock.
While Thoma gradually decreased the distance between his lips and the stiff dick, the sensation made Ayato squeeze his eyelids shut and whimper in anticipation. He was so desperate after the touch of another person and the only one that he’d allow to help him, was Thoma, his trusted housekeeper.
Noticing his master’s reaction, Thoma slowed himself down after his soft lips touched the throbbing length, lingering over it. Ayato squealed when his need for stimulation got ignored by his supposed helper. Placing his hands on Ayato’s grabbable thighs, Thoma looked up at the man proudly, seeing that his move triggered such a beautiful reaction.
The severely understimulated one only opened his eyes to look at Thoma with the most desperate expression the latter had ever seen, accompanied by a sound Thoma could only interpret as a beg for mercy.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let you go not having finished.” The dominant tightened his grip around Ayato’s thighs. “But please let me have some fun before that. The sounds you make are just too sweet.”
Hearing such a comment made Ayato pout. He tried to hide his face by burying it in the pillow, but that only made it more obvious to Thoma, that his statement successfully made Ayato blush.
He carefully started licking the base of his master’s cock, causing moans to escape Ayato’s lips, while he desperately held onto the white sheets, his grip tightening with every time Thoma’s tongue made its way over the tip of his shaft.
The heat that was engulfing Ayato drove him to a kind of pleasure he never thought imaginable. “Fuck-please” he tried to suppress his moans to no avail. To ground himself, he gripped on Thoma’s dark blonde hair, rolling his hips so he would take him deeper. A moan got pulled from the muted boy, that made the stimulation more intense and an electrical feeling rushed down Ayato’s spine, making him arch his back beautifully.
Thoma tried to keep his eyes fixated on his master but it got harder with every thrust Ayato made. Only when tears started forming and his vision blurred, he squeezed them shut in hopes not only to clear his sight but also make the sensation of being gagged bearable.
Not being able to control himself, Ayato bucked his hips repeatedly into his helper’s face, getting himself closer and closer to climax. “I’m- close!” That was the only thing Ayato could still articulate while panting, before mercilessly grinding his cock further into Thoma’s mouth.
The housekeeper wasn’t prepared, and started gagging from the tip hitting the very back of his throat - a feeling Thoma wasn’t used to.
This very feeling was just enough to finally liberate the young lord. He groaned on release, bucking his hips one more time. Ayato’s sticky cum flooded Thoma’s mouth, making the unexpecting moan, while some of the white fluid spilled over his lips.
Gathering his thoughts Thoma pulled his face away from the now semi hard shaft. He could still taste Ayato’s cum on his tongue even after swallowing what got ejected into him. He looked at Ayato, who was trying to catch his breath. His face indicated disbelief of what just happened. Ayato’s behavior wasn’t at all what he had expected it to be the first time they would commit such a sin.
“Thank you, Thoma.” Ayato’s soft voice pulled the housekeeper out of his thoughts. The young lord gazed into Thoma’s widened eyes, expressing his gratitude for the help.
“Oh,” Thoma looked away, “it’s no problem, really. Just tell me when you need anything else.” With these words he quickly left the room, not wanting Ayato to find out that his cheeks reddened.
hiiiii razorverse questions for u (sorry if these have been answered! tumblr isnt letting me search this update): 1) what is kestrelflight my specialist little guy doing? HOW is he doing? 2) whats mousewhisker up to. my second specialist little guy. po3 apprentice generation is literally my favorite
YAYYYYYYY THANK YOU!!!! i haven't said anything about either of those characters yet, so here we go!
Kestrelflight
-Unlike in canon, Barkface was unfortunately never around to train him- he died back during the forest destruction, succumbing to a combination of old age and sickness. The lack of a medic was a big contributor towards the WindClan Civil War. Mudclaw insisted on assigning a new medic, while Onewhisker insisted on waiting for a line to StarClan to be discovered so they could choose- and he also didn't want to force anyone into the position, even temporarily, so instead, Leafpaw spent a lot of time in WindClan as a temporary medic.
-MASSIVE point of contention. The cats were uncomfortable that he was once again letting a ThunderClan cat into a major position of power, while others insisted that they should appreciate Leafpaw's help when they had none. (This is also where LeafCrow starts here btw)
-It was only worse when they DIDN'T get an immediate sign, and yet no one was up to the task, so for a while WindClan just didn't have a medic. Leafpool eventually had to return after the scandal she committed with Crowfeather along with Cinderpelt's "death", and the clan was now vocally against letting another clan's medic help. But Onestar's fatal flaw is his stubbornness, and he was determined to keep his foot down and not turn back on his decision to wait for a sign. He was trying to keep his morals sooo bad.
-Finally though, they got Kestrelpaw, a young tom who had both the will and the signs to back him up. Poor guy had to deal with becoming an apprentice early at 4 moons though, they put him to work the instant he got the sign. They had StarClan be his mentor. Thankfully there were no serious epidemics or anything during his apprenticeship, but it was still a stressful time and he second-guessed his decision constantly.
-If this sounds familiar, it's because he's a parallel to Puddleshine. Kestrelflight is NOT pleased about being banned from helping the poor guy in AVoS- he knows EXACTLY what it's like in his position, except Puddle didn't even have a sign to back him up! He wanted to be a secondary mentor for the little guy, especially when the yellowcough epidemic nearly wiped out ShadowClan. He was PISSED about this.
-He actually starts off the series being a bit of a doormat, he's overly permissive and lets people walk all over him. Onestar doesn't like this and wants his medic to stand up for himself more because "we can't afford to show weakness" (Sire is projecting!). But after the debacle with Hollyleaf and Willowshine along with the dark forest, he becomes more cynical and less willing to deal with people's shit. Hence him breaking the embargo Onestar set as a "fuck you" to him specifically. (side note: since the Darktail plot is changed to not involve Onestar as much, the embargo plot may or may not stay. I do still plan to have him die in this arc though)
-He was close friends with Hollyleaf and Willowshine, though he definitely felt like a third wheel. He was aware of their relationship but never wanted to say anything out of fear of getting any of them in trouble. In fact, I'm thinking he helped hide Hollyleaf's pregnancy for the most part, though I'm not quite sure how. When Hollyleaf ran away, he was crushed and he tried to support Willowshine however he could, but she was very closed off after the incident and never stopped mourning the chance to know her kits, so he ended up losing her in a way too. It got somewhat better when Ivypaw was briefly a medic, but of course that didn't last.
-He actually had a crush on Jayfeather and was happy when he was briefly a medic, but it never really went anywhere sadly.
-Might hit him with the nby beam. Not sure yet though.
Mousewhisker
-In TNP, he's mostly handled the same as he is in canon! He's a kit that's accepted into ThunderClan with his family after he's in danger of being taken away and euthanized by the barn humans. I don't really have any additions to make there.
-I could be totally misremembering him, absolutely, but I always perceived him as a studious kid who seems like a goody two shoes, always giving an apple to the teacher and getting all As, and is sorta seen as stuffy for it, but in reality he loves to go behind people's backs and break the rules. He's got a sneaky streak! He spies on people a lot and he's no snitch- he'll help you sneak out of camp if he thinks he can get some fun out of it.
-Loves to "erm, actually-" people though. He's a teacher in the clan and he drives some of the apprentices crazy.
-He sneaks out consistently to meet with Minnowpaw/tail. The both of them decide to start training in the Dark Forest because they believe the DF cats' goal is to reform the code, and they want to remove the part that keeps them apart. This does not end well for them. Oops.
-Btw! I keep going back and forth on who the RiverClan three are, but I think I'm gonna shake up the family tree quite a bit here and make them Minnowtail, Beetlewhisker, and Rippletail. If canon doesn't care about their actual canon relationships and timelines then neither will I, these guys have the most material for me to work with so here we go. They're all Icewing's kits and after Rippletail's death, Minnow and Beetle and their mom all align with the Dark Forest, until Beetle also dies. Minnow is the sole survivor of her three.
-I'm not sure what Mousewhisker really does in the narrative himself, he's definitely just a supporting character to the RiverClan three's plots. I think the entire family is aware of him, and are actually cool with it and agree to try and get rid of the law so they can be together (Minnow and her sibs are also halfclan, Icewing has a leg in this too). Proto RiverClan family coup?
-He miiiight take Hazeltail's place death-wise, except he dies in the great battle instead of offscreen greencough. He fights for the clans, but ultimately gets killed trying to protect Minnowtail. Minnow may also be pregnant but idk who her kits will be. Poor girl goes THROUGH IT in The Last Hope.
THE PRINCESS WEI YANG - 151 PART 2
CHAPTER 151: THE PRINCE IS CORNERED
He glanced at Li Wei Yang, pain appearing on his expression, and said in a harsh voice, "Princess, in fact, I don't mean any harm. I had a younger brother who was kidnapped before he was born, and I don't know where he lives. My father misses him very much. I have searched for him everywhere over the years, but unfortunately I have found nothing. This time I came to Dali and met your cousin Li Minde by chance. My first feeling was that he was the member of my Yuexi royal family. However, I dare not recognize him rashly. My imperial brother was not born to my mother, so my mother has always hoped that he would not appear again. I am afraid that if I rush to recognize him, I will cause trouble for him, that's why I want to find the truth from you. Don't worry, I definitely don't mean any harm. It's just that my father asked me to secretly search for him ..." At this point, his voice choked up, and his eyes were filled with tears.
Li Wei Yang looked at him with an expression completely different from the one just now. She immediately guessed that he must have originally planned to scare her and force her to tell the truth, but now that he saw her tough attitude, he immediately changed from intimidation to coaxing. Unfortunately for him, she doesn't care whether his attitude is soft or hard.
"Your Highness Grand Prince Yan, I don't know what you are talking about, but I can tell you that my cousin Minde's surname is Li. As for his life experience, you must have investigated it. I don't know what makes you associate him with your imperial brother, but if he is really the one, I would definitely tell you. After all, it is a good thing to recognize your ancestors and return to the clan, isn't it?"
Yuan Yu stared at Li Wei Yang and didn't say anything for a while. He realized that he couldn't deceive her. He blinked and the tears in his eyes disappeared as if by magic. He changed his expression and said: "The princess is indeed a hero among women, and I respect her even more. If I marry you, I will definitely cherish you and love you, and I will never neglect you. But you have to think clearly. If you don't answer honestly, I will have many ways to humiliate you and force you to speak."
Hearing that, Li Wei Yang raised her head. The look in her eyes was cold, but she chuckled as she said, "Well, I can help. There are various forms of torture in this world, and I am familiar with them all. If Grand Prince Yan is interested, there's no harm in using me as an experiment."
Since Yuan Yu is not planning to kill Li Wei Yang, he will naturally not leave obvious scars on her body, so torture is simply not feasible.
Li Wei Yang saw that he was getting more and more agitated, so she couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, I forgot, you want to preserve my life. Then, how about pricking the acupuncture point with thousands of silver needles? It is said that the feeling is like tens of thousands of ants gnawing, leaving no scars on the surface, but still extremely painful. Is Grand Prince Yan willing to give it a try?"
Yuan Yu saw that her face was full of smiles, but her eyes were extremely serious, and she didn't look like she was joking at all. He couldn't help but feel a slight chill in his heart.
"If pricking the acupuncture points with silver needles doesn't work, how about other methods?" Li Wei Yang spoke without any trace of fear. She just looked at him coldly, as if she was really giving him advice.
Yuan Yu's beautiful face was almost distorted. He quickly turned around and walked out, and the curtain fell with a snap. Soon, guards came in and forcibly took Zhao Yue and Bai Zhi out. Li Wei Yang glanced at Zhao Yue's staggering steps and closed her eyes slightly.
She could have asked the other party to treat Zhao Yue's injuries, but in this case, Yuan Yu would have grasped her weakness, knowing that she was protecting her maid, and he would use them to threaten her. Therefore, the more Li Wei Yang pretends to be indifferent, the more he will feel that those two people are worthless and will not embarrass them too much.
Li Wei Yang was left alone in this gorgeous house and spent the longest night in her life.
She kept her eyes closed to rest her mind, but she couldn't fall asleep. She kept thinking about the whole situation over and over, sitting like this for four whole hours. It was already evening when she suddenly glanced at the door alertly. Sure enough, she saw it being pushed open, but it was not Yuan Yu who came in, but two beautiful young maids carrying trays. On the trays were gorgeous clothes and hairpins. One of them knelt down respectfully to Li Wei Yang and said: "Princess, my prince invites you to change your clothes and have dinner together."
Others were polite before fighting, but Yuan Yu obviously did the opposite. Li Wei Yang knew that Yuan Yu seemed to be a very strong person, but he was also very cautious. If she had shown a hint of cowardice about torture just now, he would have used such a method to deal with her. After all, there are many secret methods in the world. It is absolutely possible to force people to tell the truth, especially since Yuan Yu grew up in the palace and he could have thought of all sorts of terrifying ideas. But Li Wei Yang showed no fear and even actively helped him with suggestions, making him even more confused. Unable to guess what she was thinking, he simply changed his approach.
Li Wei Yang refused to dress up, but wore her own clothes and walked out first. The two maids looked at each other and did not dare to say anything. They walked respectfully in front and led the way for Li Wei Yang. They quickly brought her to a room. One of them took the initiative to open the door for her, and then she and the other person retreated.
Li Wei Yang walked in slowly. This room was even more luxurious and magnificent than the one just now, but it was not vulgar. Instead, it created an elegant and refined atmosphere. There is not a single unnecessary decoration in sight. Even a potted plant or a painting is placed in the most appropriate position, showing extraordinary taste. During the trip, the other party bought such a house in Dali even though he could stay at the embassy, which shows that he was well prepared.
Li Wei Yang walked in and saw a handsome young man sitting in front of the table, seemingly waiting for her. If he was a vicious kidnapper before, but now he has now become a refined and elegant young master. Seeing her come in, he smiled slightly.
No matter what kind of person he is, as far as his appearance is concerned, he is indeed extremely outstanding.
Li Wei Yang knew that the royal family in Yuexi were all incredibly beautiful. She had seen the charming and beautiful Princess Anguo before, and now she saw the outrageously beautiful Yuan Yu. No wonder people say that all Yuan clansmen are beauties, and men's looks are often a hundred times more outstanding than women's. It's easy to imagine that all the young ladies in Yuexi would want to ask him to be their husband, and all women would even be willing to abandon their family to elope with him. Such was how handsome these men are.
She heard that when the Yuexi Emperor was still the crown prince, whenever he appeared on the street, young girls would follow him crazily and flirt with him. In order to win his favor, some girls fought with each other, disregarding a woman's modesty. Reservedness was tossed aside, and some women even committed suicide because they were not allowed to enter the palace because of their humble origins and could not win his favor. In anger, he simply put on a mask to go out, but despite this, he still attracted countless desperate suitors. Now, his sons had also inherited such a devestating appearance, and it seemed as if they were even more outstanding than their father.
Yuan Yu's smile looked very charming: "I was too reckless today, and I feel deeply ashamed. I hope that the princess will forgive me! Fortunately, those six foolish guards have died to apologize, and the princess has not been harmed. Otherwise my sin would be great."
Li Wei Yang looked at him indifferently, without any emotion in her eyes.
Yuan Yu frowned slightly. In the past, when he smiled, countless girls would fall in love with him. Why is Li Wei Yang turning a blind eye now?
In fact, Li Wei Yang also knew that he was handsome, but after seeing Li Minde's face for so many years, no matter how handsome he was, it was still nothing to her. What's more, Yuan Yu's appearance was even inferior to Li Minde's. Furthermore, Li Wei Yang is a cold-hearted person who is somewhat disgusted with beautiful appearances. The gentler Yuan Yu smiles, the more disgusted Li Wei Yang feels. Fortunately, Yuan Yu didn't know what she was thinking, otherwise he would have vomited blood.
"Today I invite the princess to have dinner with me. I will take you back in person later." Yuan Yu acted very seriously and spoke with certainty, as if he really regretted his actions and sincerely repented.
The dinner on the table is also prepared to perfection, with eight meat dishes, eight vegetable dishes, eight soups and eight cold plates, all kinds of dim sum, candied fruits, steamed and fried snacks...and they are all in the taste of Dali cuisine. Obviously some thought has been put into it. But giving her a slap and then a sweet date, does Grand Prince Yan think she's so simple?
Li Wei Yang smiled softly. In fact, this is not surprising. From the outside, she is indeed a young and inexperienced girl. Since he has no other way to deal with her, he wanted to use beauty to entice her.
Yuan Yu's attitude was impeccable, and since one doesn't slap a smiling face (t/n: there's an idiom in China that loosely translates to "you shall not slap a person in the face when he is smiling at you". This means if a person is showing a positive attitude, you'd should forgive them even if they have made a mistake), Li Wei Yang just said: "Where is my maid?"
"I have sent a doctor to diagnose the injured Miss Zhao and give her medicine. As long as she goes back to recuperate for a few days, she should be fine." His tone was extremely calm. In his eyes, Zhao Yue is just an inferior maid who needs no mercy, let alone an apology.
Yuan Yu looked down on her maid so much, but the anger in Li Wei Yang's heart was still burning. However, she did not show the slightest upset. The current Grand Prince Yan looked so elegant and gentle. However, he would turn hostile at any moment and put them to death. Li Wei Yang originally thought that Tuoba Zhen was the only enemy, but this idea was wrong. Even if you don't look for some people, they will still take the initiative to look for you. For example, the provocative Princess Anguo, or the King of Yan, Prince Yuan Yu who kidnapped her.
However, she was not prepared to accept the situation. She would make them cry bitterly for what they had done today. Of course, if they can still cry by then.
Grand Prince Yan looked at her and said slowly, "As long as you tell me who Li Minde is, who he has been in contact with in recent years, and who is secretly helping him behind the scenes, then I will not only let you go, but also I will welcome you back to Yuexi in a glorious manner, and I will never break my promise!"
Li Wei Yang looked at him in surprise and said: "Grand Prince Yan asked me to give perjury. Who do you think I am? And who do you think you are?"
Li Wei Yang's expression of indifference and innocence made Yuan Yu stunned. "Don't you want to marry me? I am the King of Yan in Yuexi. I have countless wealth. Yuexi is far richer and more powerful than your Dali. It would be much better for you to marry me than to be a princess who does not deserve the name in Dali. I heard that no one even dares to marry you because of your fierce personality? Marry me, I promise you will become the high and mighty Princess Yan. Don't you want to be like an ordinary rich lady, caring for your husband and raising your children, and be a good wife and mother?"
"Princess Yan?" Li Wei Yang suddenly laughed and said: "What good wife and mother? What husband and a child? So what about wealth and glory!" There was clearly unspeakable sarcasm in her smile.
Yuan Yu said in confusion: "Don't you know what all this means?"
At this time, a piece of incense was burned on the jade table next to him, and the smoke was floating. Yuan Yu's eyebrows slightly furrowed, he took in a deep breath of this fragrance, then his pale face gradually flushed red. Li Wei Yang smelled it from a distance and felt that the fragrance was extremely sweet and indescribable, as if she had an ethereal feeling. She sneered, but her face was clear.
She said slowly: "A good wife and mother is just to make men happy, to deceive themselves and others! Being a wife and raising children is just to keep women in peace and contentment! Wealth and glory are other people's in the blink of an eye. How could I be complacent just to be rich in a cage? Even if I marry you, what can I get? The title of Princess Yan? Grand Prince Yan, stop joking with me, I don't want those things, and I don't even bother to get them!" In this life, she will never do it again. Nor will she live to make others happy.
Yuan Yu was stunned. Out of an innate intuition, he vaguely felt that the girl in front of him must have strange and profound thoughts. But he really couldn't guess that she seemed to have everything. Apart from the fact that her marriage was not going well, what else could she be worried about?
Yuan Yu apologized and said with a smile: "Princess, there is no need to be angry. I am just telling the truth. Even if you really don't want to get married, I won't force it. Everyone has their own ambitions. Well, if you tell everything about Li Minde, then I'll propose to the Emperor of Dali to replace you with someone else. What do you think?"
There was no trace of joy on Li Wei Yang's face. "I have said it countless times, Minde is a member of my Li family and has nothing to do with your Yuexi royal family. You insist on me unjustly accusing him like this, and you are trying to learn more from me. There are so many secrets, since you want to know, why don't you go to him instead of asking me?"
Yuan Yu thought to himself: If I could catch him, would I still bother to catch you? Who in Kyoto doesn't know that the third son of the Li family has the best relationship with Princess Anping. It would be strange if she didn't know his secret! He glanced at the incense burner not far away, and a mysterious smile appeared on his face.
Li Wei Yang, you keep saying that you don't care about innocence, but if you really lose your innocence, can you still be so calm and composed?
Li Wei Yang noticed Yuan Yu's eyes, and her eyes also fell on the incense burner. There are many secret incense powders in the royal family, but they are different from the obscene incense outside. They are just used to improve mood. The type of incense used by Yuan Yu was the Xiaoyao incense that was once popular among royal families in various countries. Not only was it worth thousands of gold, its effect was also first-rate. However, it can only increase the interest when the person is already confused and infatuated. Yuan Yu used this kind of incense because he was obviously too confident in his own appearance and thought he was invincible. Even if Li Wei Yang pretended not to be attracted by it, he was sure she'd be fascinated.
It's really ridiculous to be so narcissistic.
Li Wei Yang didn't know that Yuan Yu was not narcissistic, but because he had many beauties in the country who threw themselves into his arms, he also regarded Li Wei Yang as the kind of woman who could be easily captured. Thinking about it, he knows that as a daughter of a famous family, she can not be afraid of various punishments, and she can also be indifferent to soft words and pleas. But if her innocence is lost, doesn't she have to follow the man wholeheartedly? When the time comes, it's not him who comes to beg her, but she who wants to come up and tell him everything.
Following the order of Empress Pei, he secretly investigated the whereabouts of the baby boy, and Empress Pei suspected that there was a spy around her, which allowed the child to escape first. For so many years, Empress Pei has been secretly investigating who is the spy and who has been protecting this child for so long. In her opinion, besides the Emperor of Yuexi, there must be other people among them... This means that if she wants to get rid of this child, she must also remove all the forces that oppose her in the country. That's why Yuan Yu had to get the faces and names of those people from Li Wei Yang. Maybe those people didn't have direct contact with Li Wei Yang, but as long as she was willing to cooperate, he would have a way to find those people and catch them all!
Yuan Yu slowly stood up and walked towards Li Wei Yang. He got closer and closer, almost so close that Li Wei Yang could feel his breathing. His voice was very gentle, almost coaxing: "Princess, from the first moment I saw you, I thought you were very smart and the kind of woman I want. But why do you want to help Li Minde? He cannot give you anything. On the contrary, everyone wants him to die. If you stand on his side, you will only be affected by him. But it is different for me! Why would a little beauty like you want to destroy yourself —"
Yuan Yu's next words seemed more for himself rather than for Li Wei Yang, "Although he is the son of my Imperial Father, he will never be recognized as such, and even my Imperial Father will not dare to announce his existence openly and honestly. You must know that he is the product of a pair of siblings, so everyone is his enemy. If you blindly protect him, you yourself will suffer." Growing agitated, he suddenly grabbed Li Wei Yang's hand and murmured: "I'm not any worse than him -"
Why are these words so familiar? Li Wei Yang couldn't help but find them laughable. If she just laughed in the face of this handsome man, she was afraid that he would think she was crazy, or that she was blind and couldn't see his appearance. So she just said, "It's really hard for me to understand you."
Yuan Yu's eyes suddenly shed tears, and he actually cried in front of her. He was begging and seemingly pleading: "I'm so scared. Although I told you that my father sent me to look for my younger brother, I was deceiving you. In fact, you are right. It was Empress Pei who asked me to come! She said that if I can't bring back the heads of Li Minde and those who resisted her behind her back, I will pay the price! I'm so scared! I shouldn't have to bear this, right? Are you willing to let someone like me die?"
Yuan Yu wanted to use his handsome appearance to arouse Li Wei Yang's sympathy, pity, and even love. His tears seemed genuine, as if he was truly filled with fear of the misfortune that would happen in the future. If Li Wei Yang was a girl who had never experienced love, she would be involuntarily confused by him, because such a beautiful young man begging you is much cuter than the fierce Grand Prince Yan just now.
The man in front of her, who was just a ferocious beast a moment ago, has now turned into a helpless young man. He has changed in thousands of ways, with only one purpose. The former is to deceive Li Wei Yang into fear, and the latter is to deceive her into pity. His Majesty, the majestic Grand Prince Yan laughed when he was joking and cried when he cried. His acting skills were simply better than those of an professional performer. Li Wei Yang couldn't help but shake her head. It was really unbelievable that a man like him begged her without feeling any shame at all. However, Grand Prince Yan's methods were indeed very high. At least, Tuoba Zhen had used all the methods of coercion and inducement, but he still didn't bother to do such a thing as begging with tears. This kind of thing is not something ordinary people can do.
Li Wei Yang looked at him and her eyes seemed to be very gentle, but there was a sharp edge hidden in the softness: "Grand Prince Yan, Xiaoyao Incense is a good thing, but if you use it too much, it will gradually become addictive. Looking at you, it doesn't seem like it's your first time using it. I advise you to think about how to relieve your addiction."
Yuan Yu's tears suddenly froze on his face. Half of his extremely beautiful face was still filled with tears, but the other half had become extremely distorted. The corners of his mouth twitched for a long time. He slowly stood up, took a few steps back, looked at Li Wei Yang and said: "You clearly know that I lit Xiaoyao Incense, but you still watch me perform. Do you think I am an actor?"
Li Wei Yang sighed and said: "Of course I won't treat you as an actor, but you spontaneously want to perform for me, why should I refuse?"
"You——" Yuan Yu has never met someone like her. In the past, he had sometimes wanted to get information out of women. If the woman was afraid of death, he would use torture. If this didn't work, he would use wealth and glory. If that didn't work, he would use his appearance and status. Finally, he would plead hard. The most effective one was the last one. This is especially true when dealing with young girls. They are the gentlest and most affectionate. No matter how chaste they pretend to be, they will eventually bow before him. As long as they have that disease common to all humans called compassion, he is very sure of success.
Who can refuse a beautiful boy who admires you wholeheartedly and seems like he would die miserably without your help... so he has never failed!
"Li Wei Yang, you have been playing tricks on me!" Yuan Yu's last trace of patience finally ran out. He overturned the table and let the exquisite food shatter to the ground, instantly tearing apart the gentle, elegant and affectionate facade and revealing an extremely ferocious look!
This whole day, he had exhausted all means, and now he was completely driven crazy by Li Wei Yang!
Riku sighs and locks her phone after sending her last message to Nanami. She peers out the window for a moment, the bright lights of the city outskirts finally coming into view. Riku wonders where they will have dinner.
“Everything alright?” Geto asks from the front passenger seat, turning to quirk a brow at Riku in the back seat.
“Yeah, fine. Just Nanami being annoying and overprotective.” Riku closes her eyes for a moment, resting her head back against the leather seat.
Gojo chuckles, “I guess I’d be stressed, too, if I had to look after you.” He pushes a hand through his white hair, moving it away from his eyes a bit before sliding on his small, black spectacles once more. Riku can’t imagine how he can even see through them at night, but the man seems to manage just fine.
“Hey…” Riku starts, pouting as Geto joins in on the laughter.
“Mhm, I bet you’re a handful, if tonight’s any sign.” Geto adds, removing the leather gloves from his hands and slipping them into his pocket. His fingers tug at his black tie to loosen it before removing it completely, and he then undoes the first two buttons of his collar, the tattoos on his skin peeking through the top of his dark red shirt.
“I’m not a handful…!” Riku defends, “I’m just not afraid to speak my mind.”
“Even if it gets you into trouble. You’re a wild card,” Gojo finishes for her, tone turning serious for a moment, “which is why you should keep your head low for a week, at least. Toji may not know your name, now, but it won’t be hard for him to find.” Gojo suddenly breathes out a single chuckle, glancing over at Geto, “You know this girl told me her name was Reina earlier tonight? When the name card in front of her clearly read Riku?”
Geto laughs with an open-mouthed grin, looking back at Riku once again, “What? Why would you do that?”
Riku crosses her arms over her chest, face bright red with embarrassment, “I don’t fucking know, so shut up.” She mutters, now looking out the window.
Geto returns his gaze to Gojo, “I think you may have scared her a little, Satoru, maybe that’s why.” Geto reaches his arm back, hand smoothing over the soft, taught skin of Riku’s café au lait thighs as he offered her a sultry look, “Were you scared, baby…?”
Riku twitches briefly when Geto rubs his hand up her legs, a warm heaviness pooling in her abdomen at the sensation of his fingers gently massaging between her knees and up her inner thighs. She realizes it’s the first time he’s touched her without gloves. The pleasure Geto’s light touch gives Riku startles her, and she’s surprised by how long it takes herself to muster up the strength to finally swat his hand away. She can practically hear her heartbeat in her head, “No, I wasn’t scared.” She replies, voice softer than intended.
“Sure, you weren’t.” Suguru faces forward again, grin still on his face.
Gojo glances between the two of them, then focuses on the road, “That’s not fair, Suguru,” he starts, voice deeper than usual and notably alluring, “I wanna tease her, too…”
The long-haired man snickers.
Riku clears her throat, feeling the need to change the conversation topic, “Where are we eating?”
“Chinatown.” The two men chorus together, and as they speak Riku sees the familiar street signs of the area begin to come into view. She’d visited Yokohama Chinatown a lot growing up, just not much in the last 15 years or so. Was this someplace mom and dad used to go to do business? She closes her eyes to think for a moment, trying to remember, but isn’t able to. It’s too painful. Her eyes blink open once more and all of a sudden the car is entering a parking garage.
Gojo pulls into a spot near the front of the garage that is surprisingly open, though the rest of the lot seems to be completely full. Did they have a deal with the owners? When he parks the car, he steps out of the driver’s seat, taking a moment to remove the royal blue jacket and vest of his 3-piece suit – revealing a white shirt underneath. It was obvious that both of the men were beginning to grow at least slightly annoyed by the restraining nature of their gala clothing.
Geto is the one to open Riku’s door for her, and she uses his steady hand for balance as she steps out of the car. She glances down at her naked feet, “You got any other shoes in here?”
“Uh…” Gojo trails off, hitting a button on his car keys until the trunk door pops and begins to rise open on its own. He moves around the SUV and digs through a duffle in the trunk for a moment, “These fit you?” Gojo passes a pair of luxury brand slides to Geto who pokes them in Riku’s direction. It’s more than evident that the shoes belong to someone much tinier than them from how small they are.
Riku drops them on the ground and slides her feet into them, moving around a bit, “A little big, but… They’ll do, thanks. These your girlfriend’s or something?”
Gojo looks over at Geto for a moment, and the two laugh to Riku’s question for some reason unbeknownst to her. He clicks the trunk button on his key again, the door beginning to close on its own.
Geto shuts the passenger doors of the car, and Riku raises her brows in confusion.
“What’s so funny?”
“We don’t really do the boyfriend-girlfriend thing, sweetheart.” Gojo smirks, offering Riku his blue suit jacket as the temperature had dropped significantly compared to earlier in the night.
Riku slides the big jacket sleeves onto her arms and Geto helps her into the coat, “Then what do you do?” She asks, genuinely curious.
“We have fun.” Geto coos just over a whisper, lips suddenly by Riku’s ear.
The man’s low voice and sudden proximity makes Riku flinch, and she looks back and forth between the two men before her eyes widen in realization. Do these guys just not get into relationships…? Or do they, like, share partners or something?? Or, do they fuck each other!? Is it all three of those things??! Riku feels her face heat up, deciding to instead shake the intrusive thoughts from her mind.
Gojo chuckles at Riku’s reaction, “C’mon, beautiful,” he locks the car, “you’re hungry, right?”
Riku takes in the busy nightlife of Chinatown, appreciating how lively this part Yokohama, just south of Tokyo, is even though it’s after midnight. Most restaurants in the city would be long closed by now, but Riku can’t seem to spot a restaurant, convenience store, or shop that wasn’t open in Chinatown right now.
They walk a few blocks through Chinatown’s bustling nightlife, music blasting from various bars and establishments until they turn a corner and stop in front of a restaurant Riku thinks is named ‘Han’s Mainland Cuisine,’ according to the characters on the neon sign. Her Mandarin is rusty, but she wonders if these guys are fluent – it definitely isn’t unusual for yakuza, especially for those who deal in the drug business.
Gojo holds the door for Riku to enter before him and she steps into the quaint, little restaurant – shocked by how beautiful and extravagant the Classical Chinese-style interior is compared to the beat up-looking exterior of the restaurant.
“Mr. Gojo! Mr. Geto!” A young boy in uniform, no older than 10 rushes toward them, beaming at the sight of the two men.
“Hey, Little Jun!” Gojo scoops the kid up into a massive hug. Geto leans towards them with a smile, reaching to mess up the boy’s neat bowl cut with a quick dusting of his fingers. Riku can’t help but wonder why the kid was up so late.
An older man in a chef’s coat and a woman around the same age in uniform then emerge from the back of the otherwise near-empty restaurant, eyes brightening at the sight of Gojo and Geto.
“Hi Mr. Gojo, Mr. Geto. Would you like your usual table in the back?” The woman asks, politely, wrinkles stretching at the corners of her mouth. With her wise eyes, short jet-black hair, and smile lines, Riku thinks the woman is aging beautifully and could tell she is much older than her appearance lets on.
Gojo puts the boy down, “No thanks, we can sit up front today since we have company.” He gestures to Riku.
“Who’s she?” Little Jun asks in Mandarin; Riku is able to make that out, at least. The smile leaves his face at the sight of her, and Riku almost feels like she’s intruding on a family moment.
“She’s our new friend.” Gojo replies with a grin, pressing his hand to the small of Riku’s back.
The older woman’s gaze narrows on Riku’s bruised, swelling cheek; her practiced, service industry smile now gone.
“And she got a little hurt tonight, so she needs some ice.” Geto leans over Little Jun, pressing a hand to the boy’s shoulder with a confident, reassuring smile, “Think you can help us with that, Junnie?”
The boy nods once, before retreating to the kitchen in the back of the restaurant.
“Let me get you all seated.” The woman says, clasping her hands together. She turns on her heels and leads them to a booth. Riku sits on one side while Gojo and Geto sit on the other.
“To eat?” The older man in the chef’s uniform finally speaks up, eyes darting over to Riku when he asks about what they’d like, “Does she need a menu?”
Gojo shakes his head and waves his hand once, “No need for that. We’ll have our usual, but for three.
The man nods, “Very well.” He begins to return to the kitchen with the woman.
Riku turns to Gojo, “What if I’m allergic to something? Or want something different than what you two eat?”
“You’ll like it. And if you’re allergic to something, don’t eat it. Not my problem.” He looks annoyed for a moment, but his expression turns into one of intrigue, a wild grin playing at the corners of his mouth, “Shit, you’re a brat, aren’t you?”
Riku’s lips fall agape in shock at Gojo’s response, but she then recalls and reminds herself of the type of men these two are. They deal in the business of violence and drugs… They are not the kind of sweet-mouthed men to give her the princess treatment while looking after her, especially as she’s from a lower clan. It pisses her off but she tries to hide it. Riku glances away from them, gazing off in the distance to admire the interior design of the restaurant instead.
Geto smirks, easily seeing through Riku’s cold expression, “Oh, this one? Big time.” Geto places one of his elbows on the table, resting his chin in his palm as he peered over at Riku, “I bet you’re used to men doing whatever you want them to do for you, huh?”
Riku is beginning to see how good Geto is at reading people. She decides to ignore his question, her agitated mood slowly becoming more visible.
“Well, that’s not how we roll, babe.” Gojo’s playful tone turns demanding, “While you’re with us, you do what we say, got it?”
Even though she’s not looking at him, Riku feels his cerulean eyes on her skin like daggers but continues to look off into the distance, ignoring him and his question. She instead plays with a curl at the back of her head that had fallen from her high bun.
And all of a sudden, Gojo stands and reaches over the table, grasping Riku’s chin between his fingers before physically turning her gaze to meet his, “That wasn’t an optional question.” He says darkly, tone still demanding. He waits for the answer he wants to hear.
Riku doesn’t make him wait long, “Yes, got it…” She immediately replies in a small voice.
Gojo releases her face and sits back down, satisfied, “Answer me the first time, then.”
“Would ya look at that, Satoru –  she does know how to control her mouth.” Geto says in mock-surprise, adding in a fake gasp for good measure. The two men chuckle and Riku diverts her attention to the boy who’s returning with a pack of ice covered in a hand towel; he hands it to her.
“Thank you.” She offers the boy a smile who only glares at her in return before walking away. Riku sulks a bit. Did I do something wrong?
“Don’t mind it, beautiful. He didn’t like the last woman we brought in here.” Geto says, still laughing to himself.
Riku is about to ask, but doesn’t. She presses the ice pack to her face, wincing at the initial pain of the pressure on her swollen cheek before enjoying the coolness of it. She looks across the table at the two men – arguably two of the most dangerous men in Tokyo, shaking her head to herself as she thinks about how she’d ended up with them tonight.
The older waitress returns to them with jasmine green tea, pouring each of them a cup then resting the porcelain kettle on the table with its saucer and returning to the kitchen. Riku takes a long sip, eyes fluttering shut to the warmth and calming flavors of the delicious liquid, “Mm… this is good.” She appreciates, thinking it’s easily one of the best cups of tea she’s had in the last few months.
“Right?” Geto chimes in, taking a sip, himself, “You should try the fruit tea.”
“So, you going to tell us about yourself?” Gojo asks, gaze focused on Riku.
“What do you want to know?” She rests the ice pack on the edge of the table for a moment as her face starts to feel a bit colder than desired.
“How old are you?” Geto questions, eyes peering down at Riku from across the table in curiosity.
“Twenty-five.”
“What businesses do you run for the Ozaki family?” Gojo asks, flatly.
“I run internal affairs at our ballet, Latin, and pole dance companies, and sometimes teach at the studios; but I’ve also done some project management-related work for the exhibits at our art museums in the heart of the city.” Riku says, then takes another sip of tea.
“You do pole dancing?” Gojo looks intrigued.
Of course that’s all he heard. Riku sighs, gently placing the porcelain cup back down, “Yes.”
Gojo smirks to Riku’s response and she wonders if he’s messing with her, “Now that’s something I’d like to see.”
“Yeah, you and a lot of people.” Riku says matter-of-factly with a confidence that’s only born out of experience. She knows the power her looks and dancing has over men and is unashamed of it. Their world of Tokyo Yakuza is and has always been a tough, violence-ridden one, after all. Just like anyone else, Riku uses what she’s good at to get what she wants.
“You Jin’s daughter?” Geto asks.
Riku shakes her head, cupping her hands around the warm cup of tea before her, “No, his niece.”
“Who are your parents, then?” Geto twists his forearm to glance at his watch and checks the time before looking at Riku once more.
“Dead.” She says simply, and there’s a pregnant silence.
Gojo breaks it, completely straight-faced when he says his next words, “Is that why you act like that?” The corners of his mouth then hint at a sick grin.
Riku’s hands tighten into fists on the table as she gives the man a death stare, eyes communicating what she would say if not for the rage boiling inside of her. I’ll fucking kill you.
Geto clicks his tongue, cocking his head towards and glancing over at his friend, “Come on, Satoru, that’s fucked.”
Gojo suppresses a chuckle, holding the palms of his hands out in front of him, “Sorry. I’m sorry, Riku, alright?”
Though she can tell he wants to laugh at her angered expression, Riku can still sense the sincerity in his voice, but continues to glare at him, trying to calm herself down with a sip of jasmine tea.
“How’d they die?” Gojo asks.
“Same way everyone does in our line of work.” Riku replies, straightforwardly, and the men immediately understand. Brutally.
Gojo takes a long breath, not pushing the topic any further. His phone vibrates and he pulls it from his pocket before typing a message into it. He leans over to say something in Geto’s ear, low so that he only hears. Geto’s eyes widen slightly, but only for a moment. He nods.
Gojo turns back towards Riku, “Suguru and I gotta step out for a little in thirty-or-so minutes, but we’ll only be gone for five minutes or so. When we do, you don’t move from this table, alright? You just keep eating.”
Riku nods a few times.
“Say you understand.” Geto says lowly, but it’s clear his words are a demand.
The way he speaks makes Riku’s stomach flutter excitedly, and she kind of hates how much his serious voice has an effect on her, “I understand.”
Geto nods, shifting the conversation again, “You got a man, or a woman, or something?”
Riku shakes her head, smiling at the honesty of Geto’s question. If he has any ulterior motives when asking it, she can’t sense them.
“Not even Nanami?” Gojo follows, clearly interested in their connection.
“My bodyguard?? Ew, no…” A chill shivers through her body at the thought, “I mean, he’s my friend, but no.”
The waitress returns with a tray with three soups on it and places one in front of each of them. Riku doesn’t waste any time, already scooping then blowing on her spoon full of soup before taking a sip. The sweet and savory flavors of the broth are balanced perfectly and Riku closes her eyes briefly to savor it.
“So it’s one-sided, then?” Gojo both asks and concludes, now grasping the situation a little better. The way Nanami had spoken to him earlier on the phone about Riku already spoke volumes to their relationship dynamic.
Riku opens her eyes to look up at Gojo, her face giving her away as pushes her lips together in a tight line. She doesn’t confirm nor deny his words, and instead takes another sip of her soup.
Gojo nods with understanding, then grins, “You wanna know what he was like in high school?”
Riku’s eyes light up with interest and she perks up in her seat, putting her spoon down on the table, “Oh, please do. I wanna know everything so I can use this information against him at a later date.” She rubs her hands together in a villain-like way.
Geto hums to himself, looking up at the ceiling of the restaurant in thought, “Well, he was mostly boring, to be honest.”
“Surprisingly strong, even though he was so small.” Gojo smirks with the last of his words.
“He had emo kid bangs.” Geto chuckles.
Riku gasps excitedly, now extremely interested in this conversation, “No. Fucking. Way. I need to see that.” She grins.
“Hold on,” Geto pulls out his phone, “I think there’s an old pic on my Kaisensta account somewhere…” He begins to search, scrolling through various pages with his thumb.
Both the waitress and chef then return to their booth, each holding large trays with various assortments of dim sum, and a whole roasted duck that was neatly sliced. Riku thanks them, deciding to start with a few soup dumplings and a baked barbeque pork bun once they place the food down.
Riku smiles at the spread of food before her, picking up the pair of chopsticks neatly tucked in her white napkin before flattening it over her lap. She picks up, blows on, and takes a bite of one of the soup dumplings – quickly slurping up the bit of broth that flows out of the opening she’s created and humming a small noise of appreciation for the delicious flavors. It’s far better than the food was at the gala.
“It’s so good…!” She cups her hand over her mouth as she speaks with her mouth full.
“Told you.” Gojo says with an expression that says ‘you should’ve listened to me’, in the middle of grabbing a few slices of duck with his chopsticks.
Geto finally ceases in his scrolling, then breaks into an all-out guffaw. He turns his phone towards Gojo first – who nearly chokes on his duck from laughing so hard.
“Oh my god, let me see!” Riku says after swallowing her food, smiling brightly. When Geto turns his phone in her direction, she instantly joins in on the duo’s laughing with a cackle of her own, throwing her head back as she did so. In the picture, Nanami’s high school frame is much different – compared to his current, that is. In the picture he’s standing on a beach, shirtless with a coconut in hand. He’s much shorter and skinnier, and his hair is far longer as he has a long blond bang that covers most of his face.
“You have to send me that…!” Riku’s laugh fades into a giggle.
Geto screenshots the picture then navigates to his camera roll before looking to Riku and passing her his phone, “Here, send it to yourself. And put your contact in, too.”
Riku puts her chopsticks down and picks up Geto’s, looking down at his phone and beginning to do as he says.
“Oh,” Gojo speaks up, putting his chopsticks down on the table as well before retrieving his phone from his pocket. He unlocks and pokes it in Riku’s direction, “Put your number in mine, too. You know, for emergency purposes and shit.” He smirks, obviously joking.
*
Riku sits alone in the booth, as Gojo and Geto had gone to a room in the back for business-related reasons. She doesn’t know the reason why, as both men had ignored her when she asked what for. So they can ignore her questions about choosing her own food but she can’t ignore their questions about following their orders? Bullshit.
Riku wonders what is going to happen now that the Zenin clan, or Toji and a few of his men, at least, had started an uprising and fucked up Gojo’s estate. What happened definitely wasn’t a good look for the Zenin clan either, as the gala was for the whole Tokyo Yakuza syndicate. Toji had made a move against all clans in doing what he did… Did he really think he could win a fight against everyone?
Riku suddenly has the urge to use the bathroom and rises from her seat, stepping out of the booth and striding towards the designated signs that mark the restroom’s location near the back of the restaurant.
When she enters a stall in the bathroom, she faintly hears the voices of Gojo and Geto in another backroom nearby. She tries to make out what they’re saying, but their voices are too muffled.
After washing her hands and leaving the restroom, Riku spots a door just across the small hallway with no one in it; she wonders if she could hear them better from in there… She looks around, seeing if anyone is watching her before deciding to enter the dimly-lit room. Riku slowly twists the knob on the door, careful not to make any noise as she opens it and slips in. It isn’t until she’s inside that she realizes it’s a meeting room, her eyes looking over the dark wood and oval-shaped table as well as the accompanying office chairs. What’s a meeting room doing in the back of a Chinese restaurant? Is this where Gojo and Geto had brought that last woman they’d mentioned – the one Little Jun hated for some reason?
“What the hell are you doing in here?”
Riku jumps at the sound of Gojo’s angered voice, spinning around to face the man  his sunglass spectacles raised and resting just above his hairline. He tosses them off onto the table.
“I-I got lost on the way to the bathroom!” Riku stutters out. She realizes it’s a bad lie but tries it anyways.
“Do you think I’m stupid?” Gojo squints down at Riku and grabs her wrist, moving closer and closer until her back collides with the wall behind her. He pins Riku’s hand beside her head and stares down at her, “You just can’t stay out of other people’s business, can you? Here I am trying to save Tokyo from a gang war, and you can’t even sit your pretty ass down for ten minutes.
Riku presses Gojo’s abdomen with her free hand, trying to push him back but instead meeting the unmovable, rock-solid muscles that ripple beneath his white dress shirt.
Gojo quickly makes work of her wrists, gathering both of them with the fingers of his left hand while squeezing his right hand on the side of her ass, “You need to be taught a lesson.” He concludes, continuing to slide his hand up Riku’s body so his fingers brush over the smooth indent of her small waist. It’s a kind of touch that makes the muscles of her pelvic floor clench hard, and Riku both hates and loves how it immediately makes a sinful warmth and heaviness pool in her lower stomach. The fabric of her mini dress is thin, and she can feel each of Gojo’s fingers individually. Riku whimpers a moan so small, Gojo almost doesn’t catch it.
Gojo’s hand freezes, and he looks from Riku’s face, to his hand on her waist, and back to her face again as he repeats the motion once more. Riku somehow finds enough resolve to not moan, but bites her bottom lip instead.
Gojo smiles wickedly, understanding that he’s just found Riku’s erogenous zone, “Shit, babe, what are you, touch deprived or something…?” He says low, just loud enough so she can hear.
Riku doesn’t say anything, but the answer rings throughout her head. Yes. She can’t remember the last time she felt this excited. Riku shuts her eyes tightly, trying to think about anything else other than Gojo’s touch, but her body betrays her after about a minute of Gojo’s fingers sliding over and massaging her waist, hips jutting forward ever so slightly. A similarly light moan falls from Riku’s lips. She opens her eyes again to find Gojo still staring down at her, but now with a bit of desperation in his sharp, blue gaze.
“Fuck, Riku… Your voice is so sweet, wanna hear you say my name.” Breaths noticeably growing heavier, Gojo quickly closes the small gap between them, pressing his lips to Riku’s in a strong, hungry kiss. When Riku opens her mouth for a second, Gojo instantly takes advantage of the situation and slips his tongue in to deepen their kiss. Riku doesn’t fight Gojo’s pace, only feeling a hot pressure pleasurably fill her abdomen even further.
Suddenly, the hand on Riku’s waist departs and she senses the fabric of her dress being pushed up before feeling two long fingers press to her clothed pussy. The sensation makes Riku break their kiss with a gasp. Gojo moves his head back a bit, making sure to study Riku’s face as he starts to rub the pads of his fingers in a circular motion on her clit through the lace fabric of her panties.
“Ah—!” Riku half gasps, half moans out, voice a lot louder than before.
Gojo finally lets her wrists go and instead slips his hand around the soft skin of her neck, only applying a fair amount of pressure so she can still breathe, “You’re drenched,” he notes, “No way you just got this wet… You’ve been horny since the car ride, haven’t you? You slut.” He pauses, cocking his head to one side with a devious smile, “Liked the way Suguru touched you, too, huh?”
“Someone call me?”
Both Riku and Gojo’s heads turn in the direction of the door to find Geto inside the room, leaning back against the doorframe with his arms crossed over his chest and smirking at the scene before him. How did they not hear him come in?!
Beyond embarrassed, Riku instinctively wriggles around in Gojo’s hold, trying to pull her dress back down and cover herself up. Gojo doesn’t move his hands on her neck nor panties, though, keeping Riku pinned against the wall.
Geto’s hand slips behind his back, distinctly turning the lock on the door before approaching the two others, a heated look in his eyes. The click of the lock makes Riku’s body quiver then still, a sick jolt of excitement pleasantly electrifying her stomach as the man walked towards them.
This is going to be fun. But Riku doesn’t want to give the two men the satisfaction of admitting it. She feels her heart pulse loud and heavily all over her body but especially in her neck, where Gojo is still holding her. She was sure that the white-haired man could feel how excited she was.
“Yeah, actually,” Gojo finally answers his friend, “Was just telling her how much of a depraved slut she is for liking our touch so much.”
“No, I’m no-”
Gojo cuts her off, “I mean she’s already this wet,” he explains, raising his fingers up to the dim light in the room, the shine of their dampness just barely visible.
“Let me see,” Geto grins.
Gojo uses his knee to gently nudge Riku’s legs further apart and Geto slides his hand between them, lips making a small ‘o’ shape as he instantly feels the wetness that soaks the thin fabric of her underwear, “Damn, Riku, if you wanted us this bad you should’ve said something... Your panties are fucking ruined.” He chuckles the last few words out, gently rubbing the flat of his fingers back and forth over her thinly covered clit.
Riku cries out a helpless, soft moan, trying to keep her voice down as they were still in a restaurant.
Geto leans in to press his lips to her ear, “The hell are you back here for, anyway?” He gives her clit a particularly meaningful stroke and her hips buck further into his palm, “Looking for trouble?” He chuckles, “You just can’t stay away from it, can you?”
Riku looks between Gojo and Geto, both men towering over her – their devilish eyes full of hunger.
“No…” Riku admits, beside herself as she’s turned on beyond belief. Right now, all she wants is for these men to ruin her.
“So now you admit it?” Gojo asks, his friend turning to face him.
Geto changes the subject, recalling something from earlier in the night, “Hm… You know, Satoru, she may be a smart-mouthed brat, but she is the reason we had a chance to escape earlier,” he notes, “maybe we should play nice and let her cum as a thank you.”
“A thank you?!” Gojo quirks a brow at his friend in opposition, “I wanted to teach her a lesson…” The white-haired man thinks for a minute, “But we don’t have enough time for that tonight. You’re right; let’s make her cum. Maybe then she’ll stay her ass out of trouble for longer than a minute.” He returns his eyes to Riku, squeezing his hand a bit tighter on her throat to really choke her for a moment, “That’s what you want, right?”
It takes a while, but Riku eventually finds a way to breathe with Gojo’s hand on her neck, thighs squeezing together as Geto continued to knead his fingers between her legs, “Yes…” she nods, already beginning to melt into a complete mess before the two men.
He loosens his grip at her reply, “Good girl.” Gojo turns to Geto once more, “You wanna do the honors, Suguru? Finish what you started?”
“I guess it’s only right…” Geto smirks, sinking to his knees before yanking at the band of Riku’s lace underwear. His fingers tug harsher than intended, easily snapping the drenched fabric in his hand, “Whoops.” He gazes up at Riku with a look that is anything but apologetic. The broken remains fall around her ankle.
Gojo stands to the side and Riku whimpers when Geto lifts her leg that is closest to the white-haired man; they exchange it, Gojo retrieving Riku’s leg from the other and in awe at how easy it is to prop up beside her head. She’s far more flexible than he’d expected. Gojo whistles once with raised brows.
“Dancer,” Geto reminds Gojo, appreciating this new view of Riku’s exposed pussy before his eyes, “gotta love ‘em.” He doesn’t waste any time, greeting the lips below her waist with a hot lick before lapping and sucking at her clit.
Even with Gojo’s hand at her neck, Riku thinks she’ll moan too loud, so she presses her hand to her mouth as a muffled, messy groan escapes it. She tries to regain some sort of composure, fingers moving from her lips to tangle in Geto’s long hair as he started to slurp and prod her clit with his tongue. There’s a wildly shocked and heated expression on Riku’s face as she then looks down at Geto, her brown eyes stretched wide in pleasure as she met his small black ones that peered up at her, “Ohmygodfuck—” Riku moans out, just above a whisper. She doesn’t think she’s ever had head as good as this, especially when the man begins to give small, controlled, and repetitive licks to the areas of her clit and lips that make her moan the loudest.
Gojo pushes his hand back towards the wall, forcing Riku’s neck back up so that she looks at him instead of down at Geto. He easily uses his other hand to rest her leg over his shoulder, “Suguru’s really good with his mouth, yeah?” He murmurs, “Tell me how much you like it, baby.”
“I-I like it…!” Riku whines softly, not breaking her eye contact with Gojo.
“Hm, that’s not specific enough.” He says, disappointed, before squeezing her neck a little more, “What do you like, again?”
“Hah, I… I l-like Suguru eating me out!” Riku stutters.
He offers her a loving smile at her answer, loosening his fist around her throat once more, “That’s right, you like him eating you out, don’t you? You’re such a greedy fucking brat. All that attitude and now you’re just a submissive little slut when you get what you want.” He snickers to himself, noticing the tears at the corners of her eyes, “I think you’re gonna make her cry, Suguru!”
Geto pauses for a second, parting with the folds of her pussy with a wet kiss, “You like it that much, Riku?” He places another kiss on her clit, which causes her hips to jut forward, “You gonna cry f’me?” He reunites his mouth with her drenched pussy lips, beginning to lick a bit faster.
“’M gonna cum…!” Riku moans out, feeling herself begin to approach her orgasm much quicker with Geto’s sudden change of pace. She smooths her hand over his straight black hair.
“Already? That’s pathetic.” He mocks, clearly humiliating Riku, but it only excites her further. Gojo breathes hotly in Riku’s ear, taking a moment to suck her earlobe before popping it from his lips, “Go ahead and cum, then.”
Riku’s voice heightens, her eyes rolling back for a fraction of a second and breathing temporarily stopping before Gojo slams his mouth onto hers with a deep kiss, absorbing the loud, guttural scream that follows with the deep intensity of her climax. Riku’s entire body shudders with the waves of her orgasm and Gojo pulls away with a final peck, watching with satisfaction as tears of pleasure roll down her reddened cheeks.
Geto continues to lick Riku’s clit through her high, her hips jerking forward into his mouth with each wave of it. He finally parts with her folds, placing a small peck on her inner thigh before retreating.
Riku feels tired when she comes down from her orgasm, breathing hard and eyelids heavy with exhaustion when Gojo places her leg back down and Geto rises to his feet – her wetness all over his chin.
Gojo rubs his thumb over his friend’s wet lips and chin, popping it into his mouth to taste Riku’s sexual flavor, “Hm,” he notes, “she is sweet.”
“Mhm,” Geto agrees, turning his heated gaze to Riku, “You should taste yourself, Riku.” He says, before softly cupping her cheeks, wiping her tears, and offering her a slow, passionate, open-mouthed kiss. There’s an unplaced, romantic feeling in the way Geto kisses – compared to Gojo’s more harsh style – and Riku’s face blushes a deeper red to that and the taste of her juices all over his tongue.
Gojo watches them go on for a moment, then suddenly grows impatient, “Alright, you two. Break it up.” He pushes Geto and Riku away from each other, and the two men then back up so she isn’t pinned against the wall anymore.
Riku giggles at Gojo’s mild jealousy and the way he’d broken her and Geto’s kiss, the black-haired man laughing along with her. She removes the broken lace fabric of her panties from her ankle and pushes her dress back down, smoothing it out a bit.
“Now, you think you can stay out of trouble for the rest of the night?” Geto asks Riku, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. He suddenly slips his hand beneath his pants, adjusting his erection there so it’s not as obvious and uncomfortably pressing up against the material of it.
Riku shamelessly watches, biting her lip as she began to imagine the size of it from his large bulge, “Yes.” She answers with a nod, perfectly content and obedient in her response.
“Hey,” Gojo suddenly spanks Riku’s ass, offended for his friend, “say thank you to Suguru.”
Riku jumps at the smack to her rear, standing up straighter, “Sorry! Thank you, Suguru!”
Geto laughs, “You’re welcome, beautiful.”
Gojo slaps his friend’s crotch, then rubs his hand over Geto’s adjusted erection, “I mean look how hard he is…” Riku doesn’t miss this sinful interaction of theirs, really beginning to better understand Gojo and Geto’s sexual dynamic. Fuck, they’re so hot.
Geto sucks in a breath to the slight pain from Gojo’s slap, glaring over at him, “You’re hard, too,” he notes, then faces Riku while still talking to his friend, “I mean wouldn’t you like to fuck her right here over the meeting table?”
Gojo shifts to cup the substantial outline of his own erection with one hand, suddenly reaching down to fist Riku’s hair bun with his other, “Yeah, but she’d have to beg for us to do that…” He grins wickedly, “And we gotta get her home, don’t we?”
Riku’s blushes at the the fact that both men are aroused by her; the sole idea makes her feel powerful and a heated yet cocky expression takes over her face.
Geto laughs when he imagines how much of a mess Riku would be if they fucked her right now, “Probably would pass out from cumming so much, too, and I doubt this one knows how to stay quiet with a dick inside her…” He glides a finger under Riku’s chin and smirks.
The white-haired man lets go of her bun and gently swipes his thumb over Riku’s swollen cheek with a sigh, “So much to teach this slut, so little time.”
*
“Wake up, brat, you’re home.”
Riku feels a hand gently shake her and she stirs awake in the back of the SUV, rubbing her eyes and slowly rising from her side to sit up on the leather seat. She turns toward the open car door to find Gojo and Geto standing by the opening, the suit jacket that had been tucked around her body falling from her shoulders like a blanket.
Riku blinks sleepily at the two men in silence, and Gojo smirks down at her, brushing away loose curls from her face that had fallen from her bun then offering her his hand, “God, you’re fucking cute.”
Riku takes Gojo’s hand as she steps out of the car, using the support of his arm to ease down onto the ground, “Thank you.” Of course, now she has manners.
“Sure thing, babes.” He looks up at the Ozaki estate, “Nice spot you got. You should give us a tour sometime.”
“Anytime.” She muses, before turning to give Gojo a goodbye hug. Her nose presses to his chest and she inhales deeply, smelling a hint of citrus notes in his scent as he locks his arms around her in a tight embrace. Gojo could be mean, but Riku feels safe in his arms, like she could really relax in his presence.
They had been through a lot, today, so she was truly appreciative of the man’s strength.
When Gojo lets her go, Riku then turns to hug Geto, who holds her in a much more intimate way. His arms snake around her body, tenderly sliding his hands over the smooth curve of her arched lower back before rubbing it in circles with his long fingers. Riku buries her face in the crook of Geto’s neck, smelling the mahogany and amber in his cologne. His touch is so sweet. Riku appreciates the careful way he touches her and feels like Geto could take care of her every need and desire - no matter what. He lightly pecks her hair with a kiss.
Geto releases her, all three of them watching as Nanami emerges from the home and steps forward into the shine of the car’s headlights. He checks his watch, “It’s almost 4-fucking-A.M., you know.” He says shortly; it was obvious he hadn’t gotten any sleep while waiting for Riku to return, “Would’ve picked you up, myself, but had to watch the rest of the family, too.”
“Sorry we’re late, Ken,” Riku sings the words apologetically, “but I’m here. And I’m fine!” She says with outstretched arms, before goofily waving them around to prove all her limbs are present and functional.
Nanami wears a confused expression – half out of sleep deprivation, half out of curiosity to why Riku is suddenly in such a good mood. She’s usually far more irritable…
Geto chuckles, “You’ve really got your hands full with this one, Nanami.”
Nanami sighs heavily, and Riku begins to approach him, arms still outstretched and ready to embrace him in an ‘I’m home’ hug. He bypasses it, instead grabbing her chin to examine her swollen cheek in the headlights.
“Make sure she ices that, and that she stays out of trouble for a little while… We’ll call you and Jin, or stop by with any updates on the situation.” Geto confirms, and Riku yawns.
Nanami doesn’t like taking orders from people who aren’t paying him, but he nods, simply relieved that Riku is home safe for the time being. He continues to squint down at her, finally letting go of her chin and instead grabbing her forearm, “Oh, she’s not leaving my sight these next few days.” He directs his next words only to Riku, “Seriously, if you so much as use the bathroom, I’m standing outside the stall.”
“Ow,” Riku complains at Nanami’s grip on her arm, though it really doesn’t hurt much. She pouts up at her bodyguard with big eyes, batting her eyelashes and using her sweet voice as she knows how much it usually affects him, “I’m sorry, Ken. I promise I won’t kick anymore high rank yakuza in the balls. You don’t have to watch me so close.”
“Not working this time.” Nanami’s expression remains cold as he peers down at Riku. He then looks to Gojo and Geto, offering them a small wave and beginning to pull her along towards the house, “Thanks, Satoru. Suguru. I still have a job because of you two.”
Gojo waves back, moving around the SUV and back towards the driver’s side, “Sure, Nanamin.” He smiles, “Call us if anything happens, yeah? Bye, Riku!”
“See you, Nanami.” Geto pulls the passenger door open with one hand and waves with his other, “Be good, Riku.”
Riku frowns, pulling her arm out of Nanami’s grasp as they approached the front of the Ozaki estate, “Ugh, you’re such a drag.” Her face turns from pleading to annoyed in an instant.
Nanami pulls one of the huge wooden double-doors open for Riku to enter before him, “You could’ve died.” He emphasizes.
Riku rolls her eyes, “You don’t know that!” She whispers, aware of the time as her family is most likely fast asleep throughout their home. As large as it is, the interior of their property unfortunately had traditional, paper-thin walls.
Nanami sighs for what must have been the hundredth time tonight, “We’ll talk in the morning. Just go the fuck to sleep.”
“Was planning to, anyways.” She says, irritated as she makes a beeline for her room. Riku always has to have the last word.
“Oh, and by the way, I moved into the room connected to yours.”
“Ew, why?! Stalker!” She whisper-shouts, annoyed by the idea of having to share a closer space with the other – even if her room was huge.
“Call it what you want. I’m not letting you die because of your stupid decisions.” Nanami follows behind Riku but stops at the sliding door that’s just before hers. Before he enters the room, he pauses – then retrieves something square-shaped from his pocket before and tosses it to Riku, “Goodnight.”
Riku catches the freezing-cold block, realizing it’s an ice pack. Before she can thank or say anything else to the other, he’s already inside and closing the door to the room beside hers, “Night, Ken.”
*
In the morning, though still asleep, Riku vaguely feels a repetitive tapping on her thigh and groans tiredly, only resolving to turn on her other side beneath her blanket and hope the annoying tapping would stop.
It continues, “Riku.”
She groans louder at the sound of Nanami’s voice.
“Riku, wake up.”
She peeks a single eye open, feeling it burn at the bright sunlight that poured into her room through her floor length windows – which face their clan property’s Japanese style garden. She doesn’t expect Nanami to be as close as he is, hovering directly over her form with his inspecting gaze.
“Breakfast is ready. You should eat something.” Nanami reaches his hand towards Riku to cup her cheek, gently brushing his fingers over it, “Your cheek looks worse, but the swelling’s gone down a lot…”
Riku finally opens both eyes, stretching her limbs out like a cat beneath her covers and quickly remembering that she’d only put on a t-shirt to sleep in last night out of exhaustion and is completely bare underneath. She still needs to shower, too. Riku pushes Nanami’s hand away, closing her eyes again briefly, “Go away. I’m sleepy, and I’m naked.” She groans, clearly annoyed from Nanami waking her up. She doesn’t hear anything for a few seconds and opens her eyes once more out of curiosity.
Nanami gazes down at at her with look of surprise, cheeks reddened just slightly as he is clearly caught off guard by the thought of Riku’s naked body beneath the sheets. He then rises to his feet from the tatami mat floor, giving her some space, “You still have work today, don’t you?”
Riku rubs her fingers over her eyelids, trying to force her eyes to adjust to the light in the room, “shouldn’t this be enough to take a day off?” She then points to her bruised cheek, but quickly follows her own words with a sigh, “No, I need to do some hours. The Minami dance studio is being remodeled today. I’ll just wear makeup or something.” Riku sits up a little, her long black hair messy and scattered about her face and shoulders. Though they share a similar natural texture, unlike Umika’s shoulder-length hair and now freed from the hair bun, Riku’s curls reach the center of her back.
When Nanami doesn’t move, Riku speaks up again, still grumpy as she’d much rather be unconscious right now, “I gotta shower, so you can go now.”
“Fine but hurry up.” He says, turning to walk back towards the sliding door that connects their rooms.
When Nanami leaves her room, Riku throws the duvet off of her body. She disconnects her phone from its long-corded charger and checks the time. 8:16.
There are a few worried messages from Umika and Uncle Jin that she hadn’t seen or checked last night, but she figured Nanami had kept them informed about the situation. Just then her ringtone chimes and ‘SUGURU GETO’ flashes over the screen. Riku sits up as a small jolt of excitement rushes through her, a smile on her lips as she answers, “Hi.”
“Hi. Good morning, Riku.” Geto coos the words but especially her name, and the sweet tone of his voice makes Riku’s smile grow even further.
“Good morning.” She mirrors his alluring voice with her own.
“How are you feeling?”
“Fine – my cheek looks a little worse but the swelling isn’t as bad.” She muses, beginning to stand and step out of her futon.
“Good. That means it’s healing. You not in pain anywhere else?”
“Not really,” Riku ponders for a second, “I mean my back is kind of tight but I think that's mostly from work.”
“You should come to my onsen sometime.”
Riku strides over to the vanity in the corner of her room and sits down on its stool, “Oh yeah, I do remember a friend telling me about the Suguru clan hot spring. Is it nice?”
“It’s the best, beautiful. Come by and I’ll treat you to anything you want. An exfoliating scrub, a full-body massage, a facial…” he trails off, suggestively, “we even have private spa rooms and pools.”
Riku pauses to Geto’s response, turning up the sweet and breathy licentiousness in her voice just for him, “Suguru, you trying to get me naked in a private spa with you?” She smirks, unable to help herself as she plays with one of the curls at her shoulder.
“Of course. How else am I gonna rub that tight little back of yours? Can think of some other things you need massaged, too…”
“Oh yeah, baby?” Riku says, wantonly, “I guess I’ll have to pay you a visit, then.” She says, the smile on her face salacious.
“Come by anytime after work, just call me. Promise it’ll be worth the drive.”
Riku can’t help but enjoy the lowness of Geto’s voice and nudges her ear closer to the speaker on her phone, “Okay, then, it’s a date. I’ll call you after work.”
“Good. Gojo and I have quite the number of meetings today, but I’ll meet you there later in the afternoon. Try to stay out of trouble for me in the meantime, alright Ri?”
“I’ll be good. Talk later, Suguru.”
“Later, beautiful.”
Riku ends the call, unable to restrain the giddy giggle of excitement that runs through her when she does.
When Riku begins to think about what clothes she’ll wear for work today, and what she’ll bring for her date, her ringtone chimes once again. She turns her phone over in her hand, seeing it has no caller-ID. She simply looks at the screen, thumb hovering over the screen for a moment until she reluctantly presses the ‘answer’ icon.
“Hello?”
“Hello, Riku. Or do you go by Reina?”
Riku’s stomach instantly sinks at the sound of the husky, disgusting-sounding voice on the line, immediately recalling it as the same voice she’d heard yesterday. Her heart begins to pound its way up to her throat, and she’s so frozen with fear she almost can’t speak, “T-Toji…” She chokes out. How did he find me so fast?
He chuckles sickly, “What you did yesterday wasn’t very nice, now was it?”
Riku doesn’t answer; she feels like her heart is about to beat out of her chest.
“I’m gonna have to carve you up into pieces for that, bitch.” His voice turns serious, any playfulness in it replaced and cemented with pure evil, “Shame since you’re so pretty… Maybe I should make you my personal toy instead?”
Riku feels like she’s going to throw up out of fear and disgust. She hastily pulls the phone from her ear, immediately ending the call and blocking the number - though it probably won’t help much since the man already has her number.
Riku throws the phone across the room and it crashes into the wall with a loud clack. She roughly rakes her fingers through her hair, anxiously shaking as her chest rose and fell with each shuddering breath.
Shit.
The Blizzard: Chapter 1
(Author's Note: This chapter mentions murder. Please be forewarned. Thank you!)
"Hey, Scylla?" Demetria called out, stumbling into the now-not-so-abandoned warehouse and swiftly slamming the door closed. "I-I kinda...uh, made a blizzard." She looked around. Sure, asking for help from the literal godlike demon and former clan leader was not exactly a good idea, but it was better than trying to disperse the -360 degree weather outside by herself.
Demetria heard the woman laugh from above as Scylla Raven landed behind the young adult. Scylla said lightly, "I thought you were with that unicorn."
"The biàn tài and his equally bèn dàn sister kicked me out!" Demetria protested, her face reddening in the humiliation the memory brought back for her.
"After the stunt you pulled? They don't have any taste in strong people like us." Scylla hummed. "It's astonishing how a tasteless family managed to acquire an empire."
Apparently by using brute force and manipulation. Demetria thought. She sighed, hanging her head a little . After all, it was her fault that she "accidentally" froze down an entire castle.
Scylla noticed the glum look in the young Froster's eyes. Wanting to be at least a little comforting, the demon sets her hand on Demetria's shoulder and said, "Hey, you just hit the not-so-normal stage; of course you couldn't control all that ice everyday all the time. I've felt - heck, I DID the same thing."
"As if that makes me feel any better." Demetria grumbled.
"I'm serious. Even I had trouble learning how to control that much power. You're doing great."
What about the blizzard? I'm CLEARLY doing a bad job. Demetria pushed that thought away, saving those thoughts for when she's alone. Heaving a sigh, she forced herself to mutter, "I guess I am great at making snowballs appear out of thin air."
Scylla raised a eyebrow at the lesser attitude, but still smiled nonetheless. "Great! Now that that's happened, how about we go deal with the snowstorm outside?" Scylla asked excitedly, clapping her hands together.
"You're planning to execute my ex, aren't you?" Demetria accurately guessed, earning herself a light pat on the head.
"Yep, can't let the brat get away with what he's doing." Scylla replied.
"Euugh, let's just get this over with - and no killing!" Demetria quickly added.
"Semi-lethal, then?" Scylla pleaded.
"No."
"You wound me."
Kylin 35
          Vivienne’s face was set in an unsettled expression that Kylin wasn’t sure he ever saw on her face before.  She hurriedly made her way to the tree, walking so quickly she was several paces away before the rest of the Rangers realized what she was doing.  No one said anything, the idea of what was behind the trouble too heavy of a thought to voice.
            They came from behind the tree, and upon coming to front where Xane was, they found that he had his bow in hand, arrow already nocked.  When he saw who it was, his shoulders relaxed.
            “Vivienne, it’s pleasure and a surprise to see you here,” he said cheerfully.  He noticed her expression and asked in a more serious tone, “What happened?”
            “Have you heard or seen anything strange around here lately?” she asked.  Her question was a bit harsh, and Xane blinked in surprise.
            “No, I’ve seen and heard nothing,” he said a little defensively.  He glanced at the other Rangers for help in understanding Vivienne’s attitude with him, only to be met with grim expressions.
            “Nothing at all?” Vivienne pressed.  “There’s been nothing unusual around here recently?”
            “I mean, the cap’s been working on keeping the seal on,” Xane said.  “So he’s been here several times. But nothing weird has been occurring. I figured his restoration of the seal had been working.”
            Vivienne gestured in the direction they just came from.  “There’s an ankheg tunnel in that direction. An entry point, that is. There is nothing, nothing, in those tunnels to show where they came from.”
            Xane shrugged helplessly.  “I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t think they’ve arrived from over here. I feel like I would have noticed that.”
            It was not an answer that satisfied Vivienne.  Scowling, she took several steps away in the opposite direction.  Xane turned to Kylin.
            “How bad was the infestation?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
            “They raided a village,” Kylin told him.  “There were several casualties, but I don’t know the exact number. We did manage to evacuate a good portion of the village before they really started arriving, and the soldiers actually helped us.”
            Xane pursed his lips.  “Well. That’s . . . it could have been worse, I guess,” he finished lamely.  “Did you get them all?”
            “That we know of,” Kylin answered.  “We’ve mapped out the tunnels, and beyond a couple of egg piles, we couldn’t find anything else. So if there are any more of them, they’re running around the forest somewhere.”
            “And we’ll need to get those tunnels covered up in the meantime,” Vivienne said, her back still to them.  “If there is nothing else that you can tell us, we’ll need to head to headquarters and get Rangers on that as soon as possible. And we still need to talk to that dryad clan.”  Gesturing them to follow her, she took off in the direction of headquarters.  They trudged after her, the weariness of being in the tunnels for so long setting in now that they were out in the open for longer than the short breaks they were given.
            The path to headquarters was so much longer without the aid of a horse.  But with how much distance there was between them, it would be impossible to call out for their horses.  So walking it was.
            When they stopped for the night, Kylin recognized the area to be the place where Marta got dragged off by the carnivorous flower.  Vivienne set up shifts for the night, placing herself as one of the first to stay up and watch.  She had Kylin for the shift after her.  Knowing how close they were to the place where the flower used to be combined with the knowledge that he was going to have to get up in a little while anyways, Kylin opted to stay awake until then.
            Something Vivienne did not miss.
            She paced while waiting for the others to fall asleep.  She then stopped at a tree and leaned against it, facing Kylin.
            “And how are ya doin’?” she asked.
            He knew exactly what she was asking about.  But he decided to act as though he didn’t.  “I’m doing fine,” he told her simply, not looking at her.
            She didn’t say anything.  Instead, she waited, staring hard at him.
            Don’t look at her, he told himself.  Don’t look at her, and she’ll be forced to give up.
            When he continued to refuse to say anything more, she said, “Should I rephrase my question, or are ya gonna give me a better answer?”
            Kylin opted for the third choice and remained silent.
            “Rei and me- we’re not oblivious,” Vivienne said.  “We know making ya go down this path is hard for you, and neither of us expected ya to be perfectly fine after making the choice. If anything, we hoped ya’d stop pretending ye’re fine.”
            “I was doing just fine as a regular Ranger,” Kylin said firmly.
            “’Course ya were,” Vivienne agreed.
            He looked at her questioningly, surprised she agreed.
            “That’s why ya needed to go to Amelia’s, right? ‘Cause ya were fine? And over the past five years, ya’ve perfected the art of dodging conversations that go too deep- that’s what someone who’s fine does, right? Because as long as that stays buried, it won’t ever come back to bite ya.”
            “I said as a regular Ranger,” he said defensively.
            “Nah, ‘cause one of two things was gonna happen,” she said.  “Actually, both might’ve happened. One, you’d eventually run into a situation where ya’d mess up again. And ya wouldn’t have the aspiration ya held to blame it on. Or ya’d find yerself in a situation like after Favel’s death. You’d eventually back yerself out of the Rangers, ‘cause ya’d have no other place among us to hide. Or two, ya’d watch as someone else earned my apprenticeship, and ya’d spend the rest of yer time regretting what ya lost. I’ve watched ya. I’ve seen the ways ya’ve subtly tried to keep involving yerself with beast related things. It’s why ya joined, and ya’ve never lost that love for it. So ya’d be fine as a regular . . . until ya weren’t.”
            There was only the dim light of the fire, and only he and Vivienne to hear what she just said.  However, during her little speech, Kylin felt as though a great light had been shined on him and an entire audience had heard and understood what she was saying.  Looking away from her was not enough.  He pulled up his hood, pulling it out far enough so his face could be hidden by the shadows, as though that made him invisible to her.
            “This wasn’t the way to fix it,” he muttered.
            “Really? ‘Cause ye’re still here, aren’t you?” she pointed out.  “As much as ye’re trying to drag yer feet over it, ya’ve still chosen to be here. So that’s something to gone on. So I wanna know- how are ya holding up?”
            Answering the question truthfully meant having to admit to the fact that he had been secretly enjoying working with her on figuring out the mystery of the ankhegs’ behavior and being directly involved as opposed to doing the grunt work of a regular like he had in the past.  But saying that would serve as encouragement that she and Rei had done the right thing.
            It wasn’t the issue, though.  He hadn’t been making the decisions.  He had just been following orders.  So he was “holding up” just fine.
            He could feel the intensity of her gaze, even through his hood.  She wasn’t going to let him just continue to be silent.  Finally, he said, in a very pointed tone, “There’s a difference between following your lead, and making fatal decisions.”
            “I know,” she said softly.  “I know.”
            Kylin did his best to keep a distance between himself and Vivienne while they traveled the next day.  He knew she wouldn’t bring anything personal up while the others were awake and listening, but he didn’t want to open himself up to an opportune moment either.  Vivienne, however, carried on as though no conversation had occurred the previous night.  When they rested for the second night, she made no attempt to further press the issue.
            When they arrived at headquarters, they found that Shaelren had returned.  Notonly that, but he was speaking with Amelia.  Shaelren saw Vivienne, excused himself from his conversation with Amelia, and walked over to speak with her.  Kylin headed straight for Amelia.  He was happy to see her, but he was also puzzled.  Shaelren had sent for her to go to the village to help with injuries.  Surely not everything was settled now?
            The smile she gave him as he approached was tired and troubled.  They exchanged hugs, and he noticed that her arms were limp.
            “What’s going on?” he asked her as he pulled out of the embrace, his hands gently holding her forearms.  “What’s wrong? I thought you would’ve been back at the village.”
            Amelia sighed heavily.  “Once the ankheg bodies were cleared and nothing else happened, the soldiers wanted the Rangers to leave so they could take care of the rest. A couple of villagers who were closer assured me that they had things handled. It . . . was wiser that I didn’t stay, anyways.”
            A flutter of worry welled up somewhere in his stomach.  “What?” he asked, a twinge of urgency in his voice.
            She swallowed, hesitating over her next words.  “It’s . . . it’s Selim. I don’t have the same control over him anymore.”
            Kylin had to remind himself that he was holding her arms to prevent himself from tightening his grip.  “He’s been giving you trouble?”
            “Not really?”  She sighed again, shaking her head.  “When we were back at the cottage, I didn’t think anything was wrong. In fact, I thought he was improving. In his work, that is. He was really grasping what needed to be done and how, and I thought it was going to be a nice winter. But I took him with me into the village so I could pick some things up at the store, and, well-”
            “A soldier recognized him?” Kylin surmised, the worry slowly twisting itself into dread.
            “No. He punched a soldier.”
            His shapeshifting worry froze in order to sort out a different reaction.  “He punched a soldier?”
            She nodded.
            “Why?”  He paused, several scenarios occurring to him.  “Do I already know why?”
            “No. I mean, maybe. The soldier was being, well, how they usually are with us villagers. Harassing one of the village women. Taunting her. I thought Selim would follow me into the shop, and I hoped he would keep quiet so the soldier wouldn’t turn on us, and then escalate the situation. But when I reached the door, I realized that he was taking off in the other direction. Before I could do or say anything, before I even realized what he was going to do, he punched the soldier.”  She gripped Kylin’s sleeves.  “In the face,” she added in a strained whisper.
            The gravity of the situation was not lost on Kylin, nor were its repercussions.  However, hearing that Selim had gone and punched a soldier in the face in the defense of one of the villagers made a strange kind of pride well up in him.
            Amelia continued in the strained whisper.  “The mere fact that no one does that is possibly the only reason we were able to get away. The soldier was so shocked that he was hit, and perhaps a bit too occupied with the bruise, that he didn’t really get a good look at Selim before I grabbed him and urged him to come with me. And Kylin, that was hard. He didn’t listen like he had been. I was so worried we were going to miss the opportunity to get away. He was too angry. By some grace, we were able to return to the cottage. Thankfully, no soldier showed up at the cottage, but I haven’t been in the village since. I took the path in the forest to get to the other village, and the whole time I was worried we would be called out for the incident.”  She took a shuddering breath.  “But I can’t keep him anymore. I came here to ask Rei to take him. I can’t control him, and he’s now a wanted man in my village.”
            “And what are you going to do in the meantime?” he asked her.
            “I don’t know,” she answered.  “I thought I would head back to my cottage, since it didn’t seem as though they realized I was connected.”
            Kylin shook his head.  “Just because they haven’t figured it out yet doesn’t mean they won’t eventually. I’d prefer it if you asked Rei to stay at one of the camps until we know for certain that they won’t go after you.”
            “If they came to visit me and saw that he wasn’t there, then I should be fine,” Amelia argued, but even her tone said she didn’t like that prospect.
            “Where is Selim now?” he asked.
            “I left him in med bay with Morganne,” she said.  “I told him that I would be right back. Shaelren told me Rei will be ready to see me shortly. So I’m just waiting at this point.”  At this, she leaned back into him.  He wrapped his arms around her again, allowing her the time she needed before saying anything.
            And she needed a lot of time.
            He did not know how long it was, but they only pulled apart when another Ranger approached them to inform Amelia that Rei was ready for her in his office.  Kylin followed close behind her as she headed over.
            When they reached the captain’s office, Rei was sitting at the table with papers in short stacks in front of him.  Ivelios was to the side, leaning against one of the bookshelves with his arms crossed.  Neither of them seemed to be having a great time.
            “This isn’t a bad time, is it?” Amelia asked tentatively, glancing from one to the other.
            “No, no,” Rei assured her, gesturing the two of them in.  “If you waited for a better time, you’d be waiting for the soldiers to leave.”
            “They began sealing the holes before we could give confirmation that all the ankhegs were gone,” Ivelios explained.  “Refused to listen to anything else we might say. They wrote it off as a one-off kind of situation, and no further investigation was needed.”
            “They may end up regretting that,” Kylin remarked.  “We couldn’t find a source. We don’t know where they came from, and we don’t know what drove them to the village. Our closest guess, as we found a hole nearby, is the evil might be the source, but Xane claims he hasn’t seen anything unusual.”
            Rei growled in frustration as Amelia cast him a worried glance.  “I will have to get the full report from Vivienne later. In the meantime, what is it you needed to see me about, Amelia?”
            “It’s about Selim,” she said.  “I can’t keep him anymore. He punched a soldier in the face and I couldn’t get him to follow me as easily.”
            “He punched a soldier in the face?” Ivelios repeated.  The sour look turned into one of amusement.  “There we go, Rei. We can just set Selim loose in the village, and maybe he’ll smack some sense into the soldiers for us.”
            Rei ignored Ivelios’s suggestion.  “How did you get him out of the situation?”
            “He did go with me back to the cottage before the soldier really could figure out what just happened and who was responsible, but I don’t think I can bring him back there, particularly if he’s going to get violent like that. I had to drag him out of the situation because he wasn’t hearing what I was telling him.”
            “Where is he now?”
            “In med bay. I wanted him to think I was here as part of a normal routine.”
            Rei nodded.  “Very well. We’ll keep him here. Kylin, if you could, inform Morganne of the plan, and have her keep him there until the potion has worn off.”  To Ivelios, he said, “We’ll see him in the morning to figure out where he should go afterwards. I would like to not throw him in our dungeons, but he proves particularly difficult, I will do so.”  Ivelios nodded in agreement.
            “Yes, sir,” Kylin said.  “But, if I may, I would like Amelia to spend time at a camp in the meantime. Nothing’s happened yet, but I’d be more comfortable knowing she was at a camp instead of her cottage alone.”
            “Absolutely,” Rei said.  “After you’re done with Morganne, you can accompany her to Camp Hallowhaven. Your horse was left there after the soldiers insisted the Rangers leave the village so they could take care of things. You can come back here afterwards.”
            After the plans were settled, Kylin and Amelia were dismissed.  Outside of the office, Amelia turned to Kylin and said, “I will wait for you at the base of the tree.”
            He nodded and took off in the direction of the med bay.
            Healers often chose how to present the waiting area, and that was often a measure Rangers used to determine what to expect from their healer.  For Morganne, she was less concerned with its overall appearance and more about its practicality.  Bunk beds lined all the walls, interrupted by the occasional end table.  In the middle of the waiting area were several couches, all with deeper seats and topped with blankets and pillows to add for comfort.  A few more tables were added to this mix of couches.  All of the tables had placed on them various items to occupy hands, from random books collected from who knew where to wooden children’s puzzles to needles ranging from knitting, sewing and embroidery.  While décor was not her priority, Morganne had not forsaken it entirely.  The cloth chosen for all the fabrics were shades of green, with deep green being the focus.  Potted plants, some of which Kylin recognized as having medicinal value, were strategically placed around the room, their pots painted in shades of light purple.  There were six balls of light attached to ceiling.  Four of them were tinted green while the others cast a normal light.  The effect gave one the impression that they had walked back into the forest, and the light came from the suns shining through the leaves.
            The doorway that led to the med bay’s rooms was flanked by a fireplace on one side, and a fountain on the other.  The water for the fountain poured out of a hole in the wall, having been redirected from the waterfall outside.  The stone wall for the basin part of the fountain was wide enough to sit on and had cups for those who were thirsty to take some water.  On the end of the basin opposite the door was a small stone stove to place cups to get heated water.  A bowl carved into the stove held loose tea leaves.
            In addition to the cups, sitting on the stone wall was Selim.  He had his legs crossed, and he was very invested in studying something on his boot.  So invested, he did not immediately notice Kylin when he walked in.
            Kylin walked over to the doorway.  When he drew level with Selim, the latter looked up and gave Kylin a quick nod before returning to inspecting his boot.  Kylin almost paused, but Amelia was waiting for him.  He did not want her to wait longer than she had to.
            He walked down the hallway, calling out for Morganne.  He heard her respond from on his left and he followed her voice.
            She was leaning over a bubbling pot with some kind of brownish liquid, scrutinizing notes that had been nailed to the wall.  She was muttering something under her breath, speaking so quickly Kylin couldn’t even make out one word from another.  She held up a hand so he wouldn’t interrupt her.  When she finished, she straightened and faced him.
            In addition to being the head healer, Morganne was also the potions master.  Positions she took very seriously, both in their necessity to the Rangers and the authority it held.  Kylin rarely, if ever, saw her in a state of disarray.  Her hair, which was a pretty shade of lilac, was pulled out of her face and placed in a braid at the top of her head.  The braid ended just past her shoulders; the clip that held in place topped with her potions master pin.  Her healer pin was pinned to her dress over her right collarbone.  Her skirt had three layers, each layer having two strategically placed slits that went down the whole skirt.  Hidden in the layers were pouches of various items relevant to her profession, their presence cleverly disguised by the thicker top layer.  She kept her hands and face smooth and scrubbed clean, giving no indication to the fact that she was no stranger to blood, sweat, and tears.  Three years Kylin’s elder and the youngest of both senior and junior masters, she had worked hard to prove that her youth by no means a disadvantage.
            “Yes?” she prompted.
            “Oh, Rei sent me,” he said, forgetting that he had come to her for a reason.
            “About Selim?” she surmised.
            “Yeah. Since Amelia can’t keep him any longer, Rei wants you to keep an eye on him until the potion wears off.”
            Morganne looked up to the right, calculating how much time there was left to the potion’s effects.  “Hmm.  Less than a day left. I am sure I can find a way to keep him occupied until then.”  She reached into skirts and pulled out a sprig of some plant.  She dropped it into the bubbling pot without looking at it.
            “He and Ivelios were going to come in the morning after it wore off to see what to do with him next,” Kylin finished.
            “Noted. Are you headed out now?”
            “I’m taking Amelia to Hallowhaven.”
            “Oh good. I was hoping she didn’t return to her cottage alone. In that case, I shouldn’t keep you waiting.”  She gestured for him to exit.
            When he stepped out of the room, she followed after him, her hands hidden in pockets in her skirts.  She didn’t say anything as they made their way back to the waiting area, but Kylin felt like there was something that needed to be said.  Not like a message he had to pass on, but something that needed be said all the same.
            The moment passed when they reached the waiting area.  Selim looked up as they entered the room.
            “Take care,” Morganne said.  “Though, do not return here too soon. The less work here I have to do, the better for all of us.”
            Kylin smiled at the joke, and raised a hand in farewell.  Selim also waved him farewell and once again returned to occupying himself with his boot.
            Kylin took a few steps before stopping, and turning back, brow furrowed.  Morganne raised an eyebrow in confusion.
            “How long have you been in your right mind?” he asked Selim.
            Morganne looked down at him sharply.  He lifted his head, the blood draining from his face.
            “Where did I go wrong?” he asked quietly.
            “You’re too nice to me,” Kylin answered.
            Selim stared at him blankly.  “I just waved.”
            “I know. Under the influence, you hated my guts. You wouldn’t wave.”
            He sighed, slipping his leg off his knee.
            Morganne crossed her arms, frowning slightly.  “So? How long has this been going on?”
            Selim gave it a minute of thought.  “I . . . I don’t know exactly. There were a lot of days where I was aware but not in control. And sometimes I’d have control, but it would be interrupted by day or two of whatever it was I was given.”  He looked from Morganne to Kylin, and back again.  “Amelia’s not coming back, is she?”
            “No,” Morganne confirmed.
            “It’s because I punched soldier, isn’t it?”
            Both Morganne and Kylin nodded.
            Holding up a finger, he said, “In my defense, that guy was being a twit. I just did anyone else would have done.”
            “This isn’t a matter of whether or not we agree with you,” Kylin said.  “It’s matter of the soldiers not agreeing with you.”
            At least Selim had the decency to look sheepish.  “Right.”
            “You must have realized at some point what happened to you,” Morganne said.
            “Yeah, I kind of figured that out a while back.”
            “And yet, you stayed? You didn’t try to take off?”
            There was a pregnant pause as Selim studied his nails.  “Uh. Yeah. That’s right.”
            Morganne and Kylin exchanged glances.
            “Was there some master plan?” Kylin asked.
            “Well,” he said taking a deep breath, “I did kind of have a plan. I wasn’t stupid enough to take off into the forest, not knowing where I was going. I did piece together that I was in the Veil Villages, so I wasn’t going to assume I could just figure it out. I was going to learn more about where I was, how I could escape, and all that.”
            He fell silent for a minute, so Kylin prompted him with a, “But?”
            “But while she’s making me do all this stuff, she’s being super nice about it. She doesn’t have a clue that I’ve been dumping her drink into one of her plants, and yet she’s treating me like an actual person. Saying stuff like ‘please’ and ‘if you could,’ and then thanking me afterwards. I realized that the chores aren’t actually all that bad, and it’s a nice place, and well, I realized I didn’t really want to go home.”
            “What was the long term goal here?” Morganne asked incredulously.
            The blank expression on Selim’s face said he didn’t really think of a long term goal.
            Kylin covered his face with his hands, overcome with disbelief.
            “Well, what’s your plan?” Selim said defensively.  “What are you going to do with me?”
            “That’s not my decision,” Morganne said a little coolly.  “That’s up to the captain.”  In a couple of strides, she reached Kylin, who lifted his face out of his hands.  “Why don’t you head to Hallowhaven. I’ll have one of the apprentices inform Rei about the change in development.”
            “Only my sister,” Kylin told her through gritted teeth, “could kidnap a prince and make him want to stay.”
            Morganne could only pat his arm in response.
Diabolik Lovers LOST EDEN ー Reiji Maniac [Epilogue]
Tumblr media
CHAPTER MASTERLIST
ー The scene starts in the guest room of the Vibora Castle
*Tick・tock・tick・tock*
Yui: ( Reiji-san still won’t come back. ...I’m starting to get sleepy. )
*Clunk*
Yui: ( Hm? A sound came from the window just nowーー )
*Rustle rustle*
Yui: !?
( Somebody came into the room...! Oh no! I have to call someboーー )
ー Somebody grabs hold of her hand
Yui: ( No way! They grabbed my hand...! )
Kyahー!
??? A: Oh come on, be quiet! Keep calm!
Yui: ( Eh? ...This voice...? )
??? B: It’s us...So please...Be quiet, Eve...
Yui: Azusa-kun...And Kou-kun as well. Why are you guys here?
Kou: Well...Reiji-san said that he wants us to get you out of here so calm down, okay?
Yui: Eh...? But why?
Kou: We don’t know the details either, but he gave us a sign earlier. Seems like some trouble came up.
Thank god we sneakily followed the two of you to act as bodyguards if needed.
Yui: I see...
Azusa: ...Sorry, Eve.
Yui: Eh?
Azusa: No. We should hurry up and run...
Yui: Wait, where is Reiji-san? He won’t escape with us?
Azusa: We don’t have time to talk now...If they catch you, everything will be for naught...
Kou: Reiji-kun will be fine by himself! So come on, hurry!
Yui: ( I’m worried but...I have no other choice but to follow Reiji-san’s orders, right? )
Azusa: Let’s go...
ー The scene shifts to the forest
Yui: ( We managed to escape in no time at all. ...We keep on moving onwards but I wonder where Reiji-san is? )
Kou-kun, Azusa-kun. Where will we meet up with Reiji-san?
Azusa: ...
Kou: ...He won’t come.
Yui: Eh?
Kou: He went back to Eden...Even before us after all.
Yui: ...What do you mean?
( He told me to return to the room first so why...? )
( Did he lie to me...? )
Kou: Now you know, but we have no time to lose. I’m sure those guys will come after us.
Anyway, for now we just have to run!
Azusa: ...Eve...!
Yui: ...!
ー The scene shifts to a cave
Azusa: I suppose we should be safe for now after making it this far.
Kou: Phew...Guess we should take a short break?
Yui: Yeah...
( I eventually ended up here after getting dragged along but...I’m still confused. )
...Hey, I just don’t understand after all. What is going on?
Kou: ...Guess we have to break the news to her, huh?
Azusa: Yeah...Eve, don’t freak out over what we’re about to tell you, okay?
Yui: Okay...
Azusa: You...had been abandoned...You were given to the leader of the Vibora by Reiji-san himself.
He used you as a tool in a deal...to signifty the mutual alliance between the Vampire and the Vibora clans.
Yui: ...No way...
( But Reiji-san told me we were only going to talk. Yet something like that happened? )
You’re lying, right...? There’s no way Reiji-san would ever...
Kou: ...We’ll explain, okay? Everythingーー
ー Kou explains the whole situation to Yui
Yui: ( No way...So I was offered as a sign of amiability between the Vampire and the Vibora clan? )
( On top of that, it was Reiji-san who made the decision. Without telling me, or anyone else... )
...I suppose that is why Reiji-san acted so distant towards me.
Azusa: Eve...I’m sorry for keeping quiet to you...
Kou: But we thought that you’d surely be left in shock if we told you so...Sorry.
Yui: No, thank you.
But why did the two of you save me?
Kou: Isn’t that obvious!? I don’t want you to be used as a tool in some kind of trade-off! I just couldn’t watch!!
Azusa: I was opposed to it this whole time as well...
Yui: But won’t you get in trouble for saving me...?
Kou: Maybe. But that doesn’t mean we’ll just allow you to be treated in such a way.
Azusa: You don’t want that either...Do you?
Yui: Of course not...
( However right now, it just hurts knowing that Reiji-san is the one who made that decision. )
( What happened to...us being together? )
Azusa: Eve...
ー They can hear footsteps
Kou: ...? Somebody’s coming this way. I’ll extinguish the fire, okay?
*Rustle rustle*
Yui: Could it be...?
( Has the Vibora clan come after me...? )
Azusa: Quiet...Let’s keep still for a bit.
Kou: Yeah. Making any reckless moves could get us in serious trouble so let’s do that.
ー They wait for a bit
Kou: ...I think they left. I guess I can light the fire again now?
*Woosh*
Azusa: It’s too dangerous to stay here...Let’s head back to Eden...
Kou: Agreed. We have to make sure we don’t run into the enemy in the forest though...
Yui: Wait.
Kou: Is something wrong?
Yui: I’m sorry but I...don’t want to go back there.
Azusa: Eve...
Yui: Reiji-san has gone back to Eden as well, right?
Kou: I can imagine it’d be hard to face him right now, but I’m almost positive that Eden is our safest bet so...
Yui: That’s not it. I’m pretty sure that Reiji-san decided to hand me over to the Vibora clan after some serious deliberation.
There might actually be a grand scheme lurking behind his decision.
Kou: Eh?
Yui: ...So I feel that even if I return to Eden, I’ll just be sent back to the Vibora’s castle.
In that regard, I believe in Reiji-san. ...He must have surely had his reasons for what he did.
He is the type of person who does not yield...if it means preserving a key disposition to achieving his end goals.
That is exactly...what makes me so anxious.
Kou: No way...What now?
Azusa: ...In that case, let’s return to the human world.
Kou: Eh?
Azusa: While the Sakamaki manor is out of the question...The Mukami manor should still be safe.
Kou: I guess the risks are high either way. Okay, let’s leave the Demon World for now.
Yui: You guys...don’t mind?
Kou: Of course! We won’t toss you aside midway through after coming to save you.
Azusa: ...Let’s go.
ー The scene shifts to the big hall at Eden
Reiji: ...
Ruki: So you’re finally back.
Reiji: Yes.
Ruki: What happened to her? ...We searched all over Eden but could not find her anywhere.
Yuma: Ya didn’t pull some weird shit, did ya?
Reiji: ...Ever since the two of you left for the human world, I already knew that my brothers could not be saved.
Yuma: Haah? The fuck are ya sayin’?
Reiji: Therefore, I decided to call off the present deal with the Church and instead delivered her to the Vibora Clan.
Ruki: ...Are you sure about that?
Reiji: Yes. I considered many different ways in which I could possibly move my pawns, and came to the decision that this was the optimal strategy.
Yuma: ...Strategy? My ass! Stop fuckin’ ‘round!
*Rustle*
Tumblr media
Reiji: ...
Yuma: How could ya do that!? I thought ya loved her!?
Listen up, fucker! Ya would have never even become Adam if it weren’t for her, remember!?
Yet you toss her aside as soon as ya get powerful...Did ya ever even consider her feelings, huh!?
Reiji: ...Fate does not allow us to be together.
I simply cannot think of any other ways to fulfill my duty...!
Yuma: Aah? Don’t dodge my question! Just grow a damn pair alreadyーー
Ruki: Yuma. That’s enough. Let him go.
Yuma: Don’t get in my way!
Ruki: ...Take a look.
Yuma: Hah?
Reiji: ...
Yuma: No way...
*Rustle rustle*
Reiji: ...
ー Reiji leaves as the scene shifts to the Room of Time
Reiji: ...
( I figured it would be easy to give up on her. )
( So why does this pain and suffering not go away? )
( This is far beyond what is acceptable. At this rate, I might truly lose everything and everyone I have... )
...I wonder if Father also had to suffer this much?
I am afraid...I doubt I will be able to bear all of this by myself.
What should I do? ...How can I overcome this obstacle...?
( When I close my eyes, I can see her smiling face. )
( Even though I have only just left her. Someone whose heart has been captivated to such a degree...is far from becoming a God. )
( I wonder if this means that it is simply impossible for me? )
...
ー The scene shifts back to the big hall in Eden
*ROAAAAAR*
Yuma: T-The fuck?
