clueless is like one of the strangest teen movies ever i genuinely don't understand how it is as popular as it is. like it's good don't get me wrong but its surrealism is on the level of bottoms sometimes like step back at any single moment and it's fucking crazy

#i can never get over how frank churchill kid (christian?) acts like a guy from a 50s teen movie like Why #the love interest is her ex stepbrother for fuck's sake...................#like teen movies have moments of craziness for comedy but clueless it’s like. the whole plot #clueless doesn't even really have a central plot bc of the book it's based off of is just gossip so it's just. so strange #i guess it was so committed to realism in the valley teen slang that in some ways it balances out but like. huh #sorry charline
