So far I think my draft is pretty strong so far but I'm noticing some big flaws and I'm gonna ramble about it

I mentioned in a post yesterday(?) kind of that when I shift perspective, I like to shape the narration style to really help the reader understand how each character thinks. But as I'm going into chapter four and the first actual chapter from Arsioly's perspective, I'm realizing that his style is far more distinct from everyone else's than the other three are from each other.

Because my guy is like a fuckin psycho and he's all like 'will death hold me like water' and reminiscing about killing a guy and barkbarkbark

As of right now the way I'm planning to make Virava's voice more distinct is by making her see things more artistically because she really wants to be an artist even though she doesn't have the materials

For Sibatol I'm not quite sure but I think I'm just going to give him more internal monologue? Because this bitch doesn't say anything he means. He's just a traumatized kid inside but his survival has depended on being appealing to others for so long that he just can't turn the persona off

But I'm concerned about Visralion kind of? I dunno I guess part of me wants to make one of his characteristics be that he thinks far more of other people than he does himself and then part of his arc can be when Ari confesses to him and he's like wait.. i don't really want to be with him right now Will it be too late if I do that? Will people already have written him off as like just a boring love interest for Arsioly to obsess over or will they realize once that scene happens that I did that intentionally?

Spoilers under the cut and also me trying to ffigure out if i have some internal bias I don't see or if I'm just overanalyzing

I'm also worried about Virava and Visralion's agency in the story. Arsioly has the most agency because he's hugely ambitious and just wants more. Among other things he plans the attack on Nyazhchau which literally tips the scale of the war and cements both his fame/legacy and the future of the Rahaithian Army (I finally found a permanent name for the rebels). I genuinely think that if he did not exist then the RA wouldn't win and Kristalya would remain whole for longer.

Sibatol also has a fair bit of agency, he's the one that saves Arsioly from Nyazhchau, and he's also the one that recovers the negotions when Arsioly starts fucking up

Now something I've noticed is that the two characters that have the most agency are the two white characters out of the four MCs. I didn't do this on purpose obviously but I'm wondering if it's an internal bias thing.

I do have my reasons for most of their designs. Arsioly and Visralion are quite different in color for character design reasons and I do really like that character design trope where it's like opposites and they're gay for eahc other idk. I could theoretically switch them and give Arsioly the darker color scheme and Visralion the lighter one but idk then that makes the two POCs the two more violently inclined characters in the group and I don't like that either.

Virava is black as a reference to the black trans women that were part of the stonewall riots, and if I make Sibatol black as well, that makes the three MCs that came from poverty all black and the one character that came from a rich family white. I could switch Virava's and Sibatol's role but I have weird feelings about making the only trans character the one that's very promiscuous.

Idk that's not the point I just need more agency for Visralion and Virava. I can make it so Visralion has a more subtle sort of agency where he supports his friends and is kind of the 'glue' of the team, plus he's the only one of them that's good at comfort. He also has his moment where he makes the call that they're keeping Estera and his moment where he rejects Arsioly because he sees that man is not ready for a relationship.

For Virava though I'm really not sure? I'm pretty sure that when the Nyazhchau situation happens she's going to be the one that goes, "no, we're going to try again, Arsioly could still be alive and we could rescue him and even if he's no he wouldn't just want us to give up." I think she's also gonna have some nice moments with Estera but I just feel like there needs to be more.... I'm going to look for opportunities while I'm writing to give her some more agency I just needed to talk about this and get the words out there

LO for no real reason (spite, jelousy? idk) not only assumed that he claimed that, she also went out of her way to claim that he was lying for, again, no real reason, with zero proof, because she projects that "everyone wants to fuck". people on his audience assumed that he was because he apparently openly talks about how he doesn't feel attraction towards anyone that isn't his wife... which isn't the straight experience and that is why people on his audience imagine that he could be on the ace spectrum. 2. the idea that people are somehow lying about their identity to get some kind of social clout or whatever benefit LO imagined is an old conservative talking point that she should know better than to use against anyone. 3. as said before, feeling attraction towards only one person does not describe the average straight man. it could be more socially acceptable if that person happens to be of the opposite sex and you both are gender conforming but it's not still what is expected, especially for men. if he wants to call himself straight or not is entirely his choice and that should be respected in any case, but if he wanted to he could easily fit the definition for a demisexual or grey asexual person. that's just a fact. 4. being sex repulsed does not mean being asexual. you could be sex repulsed and any other identity, gay or straight, just like you can be sex indifferent or sex positive, kinky and asexual. there's plenty of testimonies of people living with all those identities that you can research on your free time. 5. use the presence of kids and having a wife to negate the potential of someone to be on ace spectrum is still gross. none of us lives on the mind of that man, we don't know what he feels or think about on a daily basis so we only have his word to go on. if he claims that the only person he felt any attraction to is his wife then we just have to believe him. if he someday decides he feels comfortable enough to claim an ace identity then we have to assume that he has good reason to come to that conclusion. whatever he decides to do in any case is none of our business. that's a human person, not a character we can have headcanons about, and LO was extremely out of line to make such claims about him without any other proof that her inhability to imagine someone who does not want to have sex with more than one person. LO especially should know better than to do that when her own wife is an ace person herself.

just finished reading sky and here are som of my thoughts <3 probably a lot so . yeah . spoilers for sky obviously

am i the only one who finds frostpaw and splashtail's relationship weird. because is splashtail not, like, a grown man. a full warrior. and is frostpaw not, like, what, 7 moons old? 8 at the latest? of course they arent mates but am i the only one who finds that weird because i feel like im the only person talking about it. hell i even saw one person say they thought it was cute. maybe its just me

also frostpaw's whole thing at the moonpool when she's trying to reach starclan and being liek "maybe i should be a warrior apprentice instead. that way i can become mates with splashtail and i can be happy with him and we can become mates and have kits together and ill name one of them after my mother" and i just...... eughh...? i mean i think it'd be so much more gross if splashtail was the one talking about being mates with frostpaw, a child, and sure it could just be written off as a silly kid crush where she isn't actually being serious about it but... y'know... the erins are weird like that...

also. not a big fan of how sunbeam was written because it feel like for the whole book she's just being such a lil bitch to lightleap and lightleap is being nothing but nice to her. rowankit DIES and sunbeam is like "oh well at least blazefire, an adult who has much higher chances of surviving greencough (or whitecough, whichever one it was) than a kit, survived". and then not comforting lightleap and like SEETHING when she even so much as SEES blazefire and lightleap... sitting next to each other???? it could just be that i havent read river in a while but genuinely i dont get why she's so sour towards lightleap and blazefire all of a sudden. i get lightleap was reckless, injuring both sunbeam and blazefire and even confining blazefire to the medicine den for some time, but... as far as i remember, that was it??? idk man.

also the... the whole... "clan-swapping" and "clan-swapper" thing. im sorry but berryheart's whole posse of people against "inter-clan relationships" (which is what they call it in the book) really just. uhh. doesnt sit well with me? all of them saying that fringewhisker of skyclan brought greencough to their camp and them saying that "clan-swapping" should have never been allowed since fringewhisker bringing the sickness to shadowclan led to rowankit's death genuinely reads to me like they're the kind of people to think that people from china brought covid-19 to the u.s.

also also i.... really don't like nightheart that much in this book. im sorry i think he was great in the previous book though a bit, yknow, angsty, but i feel like in this book it must have been written by a different author because he's nothing BUT angst now. sure in the last book he was edgy but that could totally be seen as him being edgy because, y'know, he had a reason to be edgy. and angsty and upset. he failed his warrior assessment 3 times. of COURSE you'd be embarrassed and upset and angsty about it all. but idk, in sky it just seems like he's angsty about. really nothing besides "oh my grandma squirrelflight is making me do APPRENTICE DUTIES because theres NO APPRENTICES IN THUNDERCLAN RIGHT NOW. i guess ill just be STUCK DOING APPRENTICE DUTIES for the REST OF MY LIFE!!!!!" n its like dude....... chiiiiiill.....

frostpaw though is probably my favorite character so far but i don't know, something was just off about how she was written. somethnig was just OFF about this book in general, it very much seemed like it was written by someone who wasnt familiar with the characters of the previous book and accentuated their personalities to the point where they're all just one-note now. nightheart is angsty. sunbeam is selfish. frostpaw is............i dont really know acutlaly SJDKKJG but. i do like frostpaw's pov the best but mostly because i just really want to see what happens. little baby frostpaw, as far as we know, doesn't have a connection to starclan and riverclan is just in SHAMBLES becauyse of it. but i just love that. i hate the whole "we can't tell any clan about this" thing though, but ig that just comes from a pacing standpoint. i never liked it in media in general when something happens n characters are like "we cant tell anyone about this or else we'll be seen as weak" or something.

though the confrontation at the gathering between the leaders (mostly tigerstar n leafstar) and owlnose is really funny SKJDKJJKG i like it when tigerstar is like "....so reedwhisker became leader and then got sick and all of his lives were just taken away like that? he got greencough so bad it killed all 9 of his lives?" and owlnose is liek "it was REALLY bad-" idk thats just funny. this book does have a few funny things in it . i laughed a coupl times JKSDLKJJKG...

but uhhhhhhhhhh overall i think this book was. uh. interesting, to say the least. looking forward to the next book though :]

A few days before my birthday, I had ordered this game called Sims Life Stories off Ebay and I've been playing it since it arrived on my birthday. It was actually the game that got me into the Sims franchise cause back during the Sims 2 era, they used to make these cool little side games for the series that centered around a specific family and had plotlines you had to follow?? So when I was a kid my dad had gotten a trial version of this game in the mail, and I LOVED IT, but I never got to experience the full storyline cause it was just a trial. Now that I've got my own money I'm playing the full game 😎 The character is named Riley and you basically help her get oriented after moving to a new city to live w her aunt. There's lots of drama and love triangles and rivlries and idk it just been so much fun reliving these old sims 2 memories. The game was soooo much richer back then

As for my main sims game, I have this family in the sims 4 where I'm on theirrr 3rd generation rn? 🤔 These hoes are messy tho so like the story started out with the original mom having toddler triplets with an unknown baby daddy, and she moved to a new apartment to start fresh. Across form her there was a cute young couple and she REALLY started liking the neighbor girl's boyfriend? Husband? Idk. So she ended up seducing him and she got pregnant with his twins and kinda ended up wrecking their marriage 😅 AND THEN I FOUND OUT THAT THE EX WAS PREGNANT TOO and I just felt so bad. But whatever.

So they got married, they had 5 kids, the mom started working in like a PR agent track and she got super famous. I forgot what the dad does but he got super famous, too. One of their daughters got famous as a teenager cause she was a musical prodigy as a kid and she started writing music as a teen, so now shes a celebrity musician.

Growing up, her triplet brother was her best friend in the whole world. The only other person she was as close to was a neighbor boy in the apartment complex down the street from her, and the three of them all became super great friends from childhood. As teenagers, she had started dating the neighbor boy and basically as soon as they turned into adults she got pregnant (with triplets. again.) and they got married.

Well. Her husband started staying out super late and acting really suspicious, and she was starting to feel super sad and anxious about it, so she went to her brother's house to vent to him and lean on him for comfort and support. And guess what she found as soon as she walked into the house.

Her husband—the love of her life, the father of her 3 kids—and her brother—her best friend in the whole world, her one true confidant—were there, making out on the couch RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER 🤨🤨🤨

So she beat her brother's ass and divorced her husband on the spot and now she doesn't talk to either of them. She's doing good now tho, she found an artist dude who she married and had kids with. I'm actually in the middle of building them a new home but eugh...I hate building...

Anyways now I'm focusing on tending to her kids and priming one of them to be my new main character once she ages up to young adulthood. She's gonna be a lesbian who meets her future wife in college 🥹🥹 and they're gonna have a cute little farm together.

So yeah! That's all the games that I'm actively playing rn. I could tell you about my other long, crazy generational one that I stopped, but we'd be here forever if I did :P

At this point I could probably write a fucking essay on why it's not just reasonable but healthy and better in just about every fucking way that Maggie chose Varsha over Sierra. It's probably get to like paragraph 8 before it even touched on the fact that Sierra is in a highly unstable trauma induced transitory period of her life and should not be trying to date anyone. Fucking hell. I think at this point I'm closer to thinking of her the way Maggie would think of Garrett (not wanting to be too mean because she's someone Maggie loves, and therefore giving her more credit that she's fucking due).

"She lets me be selfish" is a very interesting way of "she reminds me I have choices and encourages me to do what will be right for me and doesn't try to push me into making decisions that would suit her" but you know what basically everyone who ever puts on a supersuit and means it has this kind of thinking when it comes to letting themselves be happy so I can't even pretend to be surprised, or exasperated over it.

I live in desperate hope that Maggie will be the straw that breaks the camels back and gets Ashley to just fucking talk to Hannah already.

I kinda wonder if Maggie actually needed the heads up about Chance's pronouns. I mean... I guess a big part of Digilife is being someone else, but Chance could put their pronouns there or let slip to Maggie as they got closer online. Idk. Still nice of Ashley to give the heads up even though they're technically already friends since this is kind of a paradigm shit for them.

I'm gonna blame this on playing Synth Riders with some suprise custom songs earlier this evening, but probable hologram Change was just spotted talking to Fractal and a little gremlin voice went "oh Hatsune Miku style" followed by another thought slipping in like a wizened elder gremlin smacking the other with a stick to go "Like the Voyager EMH you heathen." Wild experience since both are pretty well valid comparisons but the important part is actually CHANCE CAN VISUALLY MANIFEST INDEPENDENTLY OF NAOMI AND TALK WITHOUT EVERYONE FEELING LIKE THEY ARE ON A PHONE CALL!

I love this for them.

It is of great comfort to me that Jia Li is consistently a flirty shit stirrer and genuinely hilarious that Eurion stands there grumping over the fact that Jia Li gets away with it when she doesn't.

There is so much good banter (and general dialogue and a decent bit of description) here that is doing a fantastic job of drawing relationship lines, (re)establishing character personalities, and showing how these people fit in a space that I cannot possibly gush over all of it and get to bed in time to be up for work in the morning. But I did want to say it was all awesome and I was delighted to finally see Maggie meet not just Chance, but Naomi, Anika, Jia Li, and Emilia. And she even managed to be so distracted as to not immediately have a gay meltdown over Emilia! Good on her!

Maggie is about to have a VERY full schedule, but she's going to have EXCELLENT company. Also the potential variety of "hot for teacher" jokes that I might get to make (if in world characters don't make them first) as she trains with Varsha is great.

It's very secondary to wanting to see Maggie become a competent ass kicker and kiss Varsha some more, but I think it would be cool af to see Hannah stop by for some of these training sessions and just be cool with Chance and Naomi (both much more open and out about their trans/nontraditional gender status) and just blow that "what if she isn't accepting" fear of Ashley's right out of the water in text.

Please read: I personally had to deal with all of those things I write about (body negativity, not wearing brands, insecure because of my looks, etc), and most of the things that are mentioned are misunderstood by most of the population, they still think cellulitis is a form of gaining too much weight and not exercising. And that we still have a choice, some people don't, like me...I take a lot of medications that are causing my body to gain weight, to the extent that I get stretch marks and etc. Not everyone has the money to shop at H&M or Zara, but that doesn't make them less than you are. Not everyone has the ability to enter university in one go, some need four or five years extra to get where they want to be, but that doesn't make them any less than you. What I learned is that most of them are jealous as fuck, because you dare to go out in your own confidence, and they are putting their worries on to someone else's. Hongjoong closes the door of his studio behind him, smiling as he walks towards your office to have a break together. It's been a while.

''You know why he is always so busy?. Because he doesn't want to see you''. He hears a voice say as he stands in the hallway, close to the opened door to your office.

''That must hurt, maybe he is just sick of you. I mean look at you, no make-up, not even a manicure''.

Hongjoong clenches his fist, trying not to barge into that room and ruin his image. But on the other hand, you are more important than his image.

''Why don't you call him, ask him if he wants to see you?''. He hears some rustling in the room, guessing that you are grabbing your phone. He feels his phone vibrate in his pocket but decides to not pick it up.

''See, just like we said, he doesn't want to see you''.

Hongjoong has enough and decides to take action. He leans against the doorframe, watching three of your co-workers stand around you while you try to hide your face in your hands.

''Oh that is not the case'', he says, you look up at him the moment you hear his voice. Your three coworkers are standing nervously next to you.

''You see, I was on my way to take my girlfriend out for lunch, but then I heard some things I'm not really pleased with, you urged her to call me and at the end, you think you got it all because I don't pick up. Why would I pick up when I'm right here?''.

He walks towards you, your coworkers moving out of his way and he grabs your hand, mentioning that you need to grab your bag and leave with him. ''Let it be a lesson, if I notice this behavior happening again, there will be other consequences than just talking''.

''Are you threatening us?''.

Hongjoong stops, lets you walk by him towards the hallway, still holding your hand. ''Nah... it's more a warning. Let it be the last one''.

You don't say anything as you enter his studio, his hands carrying two boxes with delicious pizzas and you let yourself fall on the couch. ''Babe, I'm sorry you had to hear all this'', you mumble, looking down at your leather Converse.

''I'm glad I heard all of it because I know you are stubborn as hell and you wouldn't tell me''. You shrug your shoulders, you know he is right about that.

''But please let me remind you-''. He pauses for a moment as he sits down next to you. ''that you are none of those things. You are more than that, you are beautiful, smart, funny, and most importantly, my girlfriend''.

A single tear slips down your cheek and Hongjoong wipes it away.

''Please, tell me when it happens again, I stand by what I said''. Hongjoong takes a bite of the pizza slice in his hand, humming at the taste of his pizza.

''That you won't use words anymore?''.

He nods, mentioning for you to try his pizza, and as you take a slice out of the box he mutters.

''I will kick their ass to South Africa''.

Seonghwa didn't understand a thing about the whole situation. He didn't understand why you quit suddenly, while you were excellent in your job.

''Maybe she got another opportunity for a better position?'', Yeosang suggests, both of them sitting next to each other taking a break from dance practice.

''She would tell me, there is something going on, I feel it''. The others start talking about other possibilities or reasons why you left the company, Seonghwa ignores them, he is too concerned about you. He send you a few messages and tried to call you before practice, but to no avail.

Hongjoong announces that they should get back to practicing, Seonghwa stands up, his expression unreadable to the rest of the members as they take their place in the room.

''Hold up'', their manager pauses the music. ''Seonghwa, there is someone who wants to talk to you''. His mind goes directly to you, hoping that you are back and ready to talk to him, but the hopes are slowly fading as he gets closer to one of the meeting rooms.

''This is Ari, she worked with Y/N''.

Seonghwa sits down across from Ari, who is visibly nervous as she plays with the rings on her fingers.

''I want to apologize, for my behavior against Y/N, she doesnt deserve any of this''.

Seonghwa urges her to continue, his manager sitting down next to him making it even harder for Ari to look up at them.

''It started with a simple joke about the fact that she is not Korean, but it got so much worse. I stopped with it, but the others continued making comments about her''.

''What kind of comments?''. Seongwha doesn't move, his eyes focused on Ari.

''That she is fat, ugly without make-up, that she shouldn't wear any kind of jeans because...-''.

Seonghwa gets up from the chair, ready to walk out of the room. At the door, he hears an apology one more time from Ari.

''You said you stopped, but still let others continue, that doesn't make you any better than them''.

You wrap the blanket around your body as you walk towards the door, opening it slowly. Seonghwa pushes on the door and lets himself in. Immediately he wraps his arms around you, holding you tight in his embrace.

''I'm proud of you babe, that you worked hours and hours knowing that they will find an excuse to make a sickening comment. I'm so proud of you''.

You look up at him.

''Who did you torture?''.

He chuckles, placing your head on his chest as he rambles on what happened at the office today.

''So you didn't torture anyone?''.

''Still planning on it''.

You drop your phone next to you on the mattress, hiding with the thick blankets after you called in sick for the fifth time this week. You know some people will be worried, but most of them will be enlightened that you are out of the office.

You turn and toss for a few hours in your bed, your stomach rumbling and you check the time on the screen. 12:36. With a sigh, you get yourself out of bed and you put on one of Yunho's sweaters. As you open the door of your bedroom, you hear the front door close. You stay still, knowing that it is someone you know because only a handful of people have a key to your house.

''How are you feeling?'', Yunho rushes towards you, placing his hand on your forehead, sighing as he pushes you back into your bedroom, urging you to get back into bed.

''Babe, I'm-''. Yunho doesn't listen, covering you with blankets as he walks back into your living room, grabbing the bags with food that he left on the counter once he saw you.

''I figured you didn't eat yet, because replying to my messages or calls is also something you forgot to do'', he chuckles while he crawls under the blankets with you, placing the bowls of food carefully on a tray that he put on your bed.

Hastily you check your phone, 12 missed calls, 34 messages.

''I'm sorry baby, I was sleeping''.

Yunho hums, looking at you with suspicion. He knows damn well why you are 'sick'. He knows all about it.

''You sure about that?'', he asks as he takes his first bite of chicken. You sit up against the headboard, the bowl of noodles on your lap, and you nod.

''So it doesn't have anything to do with what happened a few days ago at the office?''.

Instantly you drop everything, swallowing the noodles before biting on your lip, not knowing where to look. How does he know?. Yunho places the tray with food on the ground, your bowl of noodles is placed on your nightstand, and wraps his arms around you. You snuggle into his chest as Yunho lies down on the many pillows.

''Mira told me after I came to check multiple times if you were in already. Why didn't you tell me?. I'm your boyfriend after all''.

You know that, and you know Yunho would do everything possible to fix the whole situation, but there are always things that can't be fixed.

''Because there are always things that can't be fixed''. Yunho frowns, not understanding where you are going with this. ''Please explain''.

''You can't fire half of the employees at KQ'', you chuckle, even tho you are sad.

''I can if they are making my girlfriend upset. Listen, all jokes aside, I'm kinda disappointed, but I understand. I work with those people every day, but knowing they made comments about your body, your looks, and the way you dress while I was there. It makes me so angry babe''.

You look up at him, the look on his face is something you didn't see for a while. Hurt, disappointment, sadness, and anger.

''I'm sorry love, I'm really sorry, but I didn't want to bring you into this, I'm also sorry you had to hear all those comments that they made about me''. You sit up in front of him, placing your hand on his arm as you look at him with a pout.

''It's alright, but please honey, don't believe all the things they said. You are more than that, even the guys wanted to start a war at the office for you''.

''Really?''.

Yunho chuckles, nodding as he pulls you back into his arms.

''San and Wooyoung were practicing their karate moves already''.

You place your dishes on the table, grab your phone out of your pocket and you scroll through Instagram while eating your lunch. You feel their eyes burning into your back, even here they can't let it go.

Multiple notifications come in on your phone and you open them one by one.

''I would advise taking a salad next time''.

''Are you sure you want to sit here?''.

''I can see the way it all affects you, good luck with it''.

You place your phone with the screen down on the table, not wanting to spend any more seconds reading those comments. You continue to eat silently, while your phone keeps beeping with notifications.

Suddenly it all gets quiet, aside from the squealing woman who apparently can't keep their mouth shut, most of the people are quiet.

''Why didn't you tell me you were here?''. Yeosang places his food on the table. He sits down next to you, placing a kiss on your cheek. You try to hide your face in embarrassment, you don't want to get Yeosang involved in this.

''What's wrong?. Why are you so quiet?''. You don't get time to answer as your phone blows up with notifications. Yeosang grabs your phone, unlocks it, and checks all the messages.

''How long has this been going on?''.

You play with the food in your bowl before answering in a whisper that it started the moment you became an employee, and it worsened after the reveal of your relationship.

''You don't believe them, do you?''. You nod slowly. ''Once they start, and keep going, eventually you start to believe them. It's something that happens, unwillingly''.

Yeosang sighs, grabbing your hand as he grabs his own phone out of his pocket. ''No one, but literally no one makes my girl sad''.

After a while of you both eating quietly, Yeosang occasionally whispering positive things into your ear, you hear a commotion behind you. ''Don't look, just eat''.

''Hi Y/N, heard you had some trouble'', San sits across from you with a big from on his face. ''Who is it?''.

''Almost all of them'', Mingi mutters and he sits next to you with a smile on his face. The rest of the members join one by one with their lunch or snacks.

''Look at them all being quiet now'', Yeosang whispers, squeezing your hand. ''They don't dare to mess with me or the boys''.

''Now you sound like some badass gangster'', Hongjoong chuckles, knowing Yeosnag can turn into one if you go too far with him.

''More like Danny Zuko'', Wooyoung jokes, earning a glare from Yeosang. ''Are we really turning this situation into a Grease reference?'', you ask while smiling.

''Not intentional, but it made you smile, so which movie is next?'', Jongho suggests. You lean into Yeosang who wraps his arm around your shoulder, still looking over his shoulder where everyone is just minding their own business.

''I love you the way you are'', he whispers.

''Love Actually'', Yunho says while high-fiving Seonghwa.

San knew something was up the moment he walked into your studio apartment, the look on your face, your posture being very closed and you don't even look at him when he walks towards you.

He sits down next to you, your shoulders touching but you don't make any intention to move or talk, both of you sitting there in silence on your small grey couch.

''You either tell me what's going on or you'll have to face the consequences''.

A small chuckle escapes your lips, knowing he will solve it with a tickle fight.

With a sigh you start telling him about the messages you received, the reason why you quit your desk job at KQ, and why you don't want him to feel disappointed or attacked by any of this.

''Where is your phone?'', he asks, holding his hand ready as you grab your phone out of your pocket, placing it in his open hand.

It takes a while for him to read through all the messages, the longer it takes, the quieter it gets in your apartment. San reads every word of it, of every single message.

''Look at her, small boobs and no ass''.

''Bet San is just with her for his own pleasure, or she is with him for his money and he is too blind to see it''.

''Can somebody please tell me what he sees in her?. And why the rest of Ateez are friends with her?''.

San lets himself fall against the back of the couch, opening his arms so you can crawl closer to his body. You rest your head on his chest, wrapping your arms around his middle and you notice how he throws your phone somewhere on the couch. ''Be careful''.

San places a few kisses on your forehead.

''Those messages babe, are from people who wish they have a body like yours. Most of them don't even dare to look at their own bodies, because they feel powerful when they can put their own insecurities on to someone else''.

You nod slowly, his soft voice calming you down as you snuggle closer into his arms.

''And I think, and you may hit me for this, that your ass is amazing. Also, some men like small boobs, some like bigger ones. Me, on the other hand, like them either way''.

You look up at him, you can't help but feel emotional at his words. This is one of the reasons why you love him so much. His caring side.

''And you make me cry'', you whisper, hiding your face in his chest. The vibration of his laugh causes you to chuckle. San grabs his phone out of his pocket and he dials the number of his manager.

''Is that place still open?. Because I might know someone that is perfect to fill that spot''. You sit up with raised eyebrows, indicating that you are confused. San plays with your fingers, talking to whoever is on the other side of the line. After a while, he ends the call with a big smile on his face.

''Guess who is going for an interview tomorrow to be our assistant manager?''. You stare at him in shock. ''Why?. How?-''.

''I want you out of that crazy environment in the office''.

You cross your arms, he notices your expression change from shock to suspicion. ''Really, is that the only reason?''.

''Alright, I'll admit. I did it so I can kick anyone's ass that decides to treat my girl like that''.

''I'm concerned about Y/N'', their manager states at a meeting, locking eyes with Mingi who immediately sits up, alerted at the mention of your name.

''Why, what happened?''.

Their manager sighs as he unlocks his iPad, opening his mail.

''Some people are dumber than I thought'', he mumbles and gives the Ipad to Mingi. San and Hongjoong lean over his shoulder, while the others wait for Mingi to tell what this is all about.

''They mistakenly got my email address in their conversations, sending all their previous emails to me as well. They are some emails that are about work and stuff, but the last few...I think around five of them are about-''.

''Y/N'', Mingi whispers, reading every word in the mails your co-workers send to each other, not noticing they put the mail address of the manager in between.

''Where is she now?'', Yunho asks, still in disbelief that some people would have the energy to bully others. ''Does she know?''.

''She is in her office, I went there to pick up some papers for your next schedule, she was kind of distant, not her bubbly almost Wooyoung like self''. Wooyoung shoots him a glare but shrugs his shoulders because he knows it is true.

Mingi gives the Ipad to Seonghwa, who asked to read the messages by himself and he stands up. ''Don't follow me, and leave us alone for a while''.

Seonghwa lets his eyes glide over the words, shaking his head in disbelief.

''Noticed her jeans today?. Did she buy it at the market?''.

''She really lives under a stone, those glasses are so 1980''.

''Please tell me there is someone that knows why she got hired''.

Mingi walks towards your office, not even giving a shit about the other people he walks by, you are the only thing on his mind now.

You hear some commotion outside your office, the door is open and you notice some of your female co-workers fixing their clothing or hair, smiling brightly at the person that walked into their workspace.

You are kinda curious yourself, walking towards the door, ignoring the looks given by your co-workers as your eyebrows rise at the sight of Mingi getting closer to you.

''Come on, let's go get some ice cream''. He grabs your hand, still in shock you follow him but before he closes the door of the entire office, he can't help to make a remark.

''If anyone dares to make comments about my girlfriend again, I suggest you resign immediately''.

Both of you walk towards the ice cream shop, he never lets go of your hand and you wonder how the hell he found out and also why he exposed your relationship like that. You tried to hide it from him, you tried to get over it. He gives you your strawberry ice cream as you walk back to the building. He notices your stares, he knows you have questions. As you reach your office again, he presses a kiss on your cheek, waving at you while he walks away.

''By the way, your ass looks amazing in those jeans''.

You find yourself on the roof of the company, hands resting on the railing while tears are streaming down your face. It all got too much.

You weren't even doing something, just working on some papers as some colleagues started to whisper around you. Whispers that were loud enough intentionally, so you could hear. On most days you just swallowed and continued your work, but today something snapped. You stood up from your desk and ran out to the place where you are standing now.

Wooyoung on the other hand was on his way to your office, he bought some sweets and coffee for your break. He thought it would be nice to have a break together before he has to return to practice.

The closer he got, the more he heard. The whispers were loud enough for him to hear in the hallway. He stopped for a minute, wanting to hear more.

''I bet she has marks all over her body''.

''Marks?. Oh those things, that means she is gaining weight''.

He heard some commotion before he saw you running in the opposite direction of him. His heart clenched at the thought of you being bullied. He took a few steps, placing himself in the doorway directly in sight of the workers.

''Let this be the last time I hear any of this''.

You hear the door open behind you, you wipe away your tears just in case it is someone you don't know. ''Hey babe'', you hear him whisper, Wooyoung wraps his arms around your waist after putting the bags down. He rests his head on your shoulder.

''Why didn't you tell me?. Hmm?''.

You shrug your shoulders, telling him you thought you could get over it.

''Please, don't let that happen again. You have a super boyfriend here''. He points at himself while chuckling.

''You are beautiful babe, no matter what'', he whispers as he presses a few kisses on your cheek.

''What did you say to them?''. Wooyoung starts laughing before hiding his face in his neck.

''I don't think I will ever be their bias''.

Jongho looks up at his manager, who just told him that you quit your job at KQ and just left with your stuff.

''You are joking?'', he mutters, slowly getting up from his seat to grab his phone out of his back pocket. ''I'm not, she resigned and left twenty minutes ago''.

Jongho paces back and forth in the room while the rest of the members are watching him, following every move he makes.

''You make me nervous'', Wooyoung exclaims as he taps away on his phone. Jongho gives him a glare, both knowing that it is normally the other way around.

Finally, you pick up, Jongho's voice goes from calm to panic in a second.

''I'm coming, stay where you are''. Jongho doesnt even take the time to explain it all, he rushes out of the company before he comes to the conclusion he doesnt have a car. Their manager taps him on the shoulder. ''Lets go''.

You stare at the blue sky, occasionally a cloud comes by but other than that the sun shines bright on your face. After you left KQ you had to go somewhere else than home, those four walls would suffocate you at any moment.

While fidgeting with the necklace Jongho gave you, you hear some footsteps in the grass behind you. You don't even have to look to know who it is. Jongho sits down next to you on the grass, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. You place your head on his shoulder.

''They said I should work somewhere else because I'm lacking in experience, they messed up my desk every day, they made nasty comments not even making any sense, and the worst of all. They said that someone like you would never like someone with a low IQ''.

Jongho tightens his grip around you, noticing the tears forming in your eyes as he looks down.

''Darling, listen to me. First of all, they need to shut up. Second, you are the brightest, smartest and funniest girl I've ever met. Third, that IQ thing doesn't make sense. People with low IQs are also able to work at high positions, or anything actually. And last, of all, they need to shut up''.

''You already said that'', you say with a chuckle. Jongho wipes your tears away with his fingers, mumbling how much he loves you.

Just a few things to talk about here: lengthy 😩

Levi being a 2 in teamwork meaning he never had chemistry while fighting alongside others, like ever. But then mikasa happened. As if isayama spelled it out for us that Levi and mikasa’s connection is so special, particularly to Levi, from the beginning. So now you realise that Levi has experiences with mikasa that he has NEVER had before with anyone, ever.

So you have seen this picture before but I’d like to take the time to dig deep into this. It’s from erens point of view and it most likely shows how he remembers these characters to be most of the time. Connie and admin being playful with each other, Sasha laughing at them, floch and marlo talking and hitch (?) just existing there because eren prolly never interacted with her.

Hanji in the background smiling at the group and Erwin giving them a soft smile. However there’s something particular about both Levi and jean isn’t it? Yeah you guessed it, both of them are looking at mikasa’s direction. ( I saw a post where they were trying so hard to refuse the FACT that Levi was looking at mikasa, even though they acknowledged that Jean was. 🤥🤥)

And lastly mikasa softly smiling at eren. You can clearly see Jean being glaring at that and the fact that isayama drew ALL of their eyes so crystal clear EXCEPT both Levi and Jean,,,, gets me. So you’re going to draw faces of people being themselves but what purpose does it serve you to draw both Levi’s and Jean’s( Jean who is a known mikasa simp) face looking at mikasa’s direction but not draw their eyes ( pupils ) clear? Was it forshadowing their mutual feelings towards her? Since “eyes are the window to the soul” and the drawing does not allow for us to get a clear view of their eyes was isayama implying that both Levi and Jean had hid their feelings for her?

Of course jeans face has a certain darkness to it because everybody is aware of his unrequited love and isayama does little to hide that. But notice how both Levi and his faces are tilted in a way. And the most obvious connection to both Jean and Levi are the way Levi is positioned almost in a line behind Jean, which creates a vector line from their eyes leading straight to mikasa.

Let's talk about this shall we? See how by placing the dark haired people on the front and centre has created a salient within this frame? Yeah the rest of the people in there are either blonde or light haired, Isayam placed each character there with a purpose. Now I'm not saying the 4 heads makes it look like a heart shape but that's excatly what I'm SEEING. maybe, just maybe this was a forshadowing of mikasa's choice, since she was placed in the middle of both Levi and Eren. Eren, whose face is not placed on the same level as Mikasa and Levi could possibly represent "dream" or a reality which would be hard for Mikasa to reach, therefore giving a hint of chapter 138 and mikasa's headache AU.

Whereas Levi, despite his height, face is on the same level as mikasa's. A form of equality, sameness, familiarity and most importantly symbolising reality.

Since he isn't hard to reach from where is Mikasa is placed. And lastly Gabi, we have all seen rivamika parental mode kicking in the recent chapters and here Gabi being in between Levi and her could possibly hint their parenthood, an option that will only be available if Mikasa choose reality: Levi. Therefore Gabi representing quiet simply Levi and mikasa's possible kid. Ackerbaby 👶

This panel, I'm dying to talk about this.most important question: is it Levi's tears that's falling?

I have stared at this for houRS, and I still don't have an unbiased answer. Although most would discard this as spit or sweat Levi probably has from yelling, I'm not fully convinced by it. Maybe it's my desparate rivamika mind that's refusing to let it go but how would spit or sweat end up where his bandage is?

On the too right corner we see multiple drops but why would anything but a tear be where you can see that single droplet of water on his bandages? It's literally so suspicious which is why isayama makes me mad, he teases so much and so subtly. He doesn't show Levi's eyes there, he could have, to emphasize on Levi's level of worry which could have been more effective when reading his expression and yet isayama chose to show his widened mouth to showcase Levi's anxiety.

I'm still debating on this however there's no mistaking it that Levi cares for Mikasa more than anyone.

Which brings me to this:

The similarities that I can not call parallels just yet, between erehisu and rivamika is really comforting as cruel it maybe to mikasa and historia. Levi is willing to have historia eat the beast titan without remorse, without thinking. Where as eren as we all know will do anything but sacrifice historia. Yes, anything. Even if it means putting mikasa ( and admin) on the boat as everyone else and letting them do whatever they want. In a way both of them are treating both mikasa and historia the same way.

Note Levi’s eyes while talking about historia almost looks psychotic which is unlike Levi and his eyes while looking at mikasa.

Eren who is pressed down to one single choice which might risk mikasa’s life but he won’t sacrifices historia. Protecting her.

Levi who decides to help mikasa has made a choice without any regret, relying on her.

And as for their respective person, both eren and Levi’s gesture and behaviour changes when they are around them. As eren said historia is the girl who saved him and the same way mikasa is the who may bring meaning into Levi’s life. I feel like these two couple has always developed together, take s3 aka rivamika season 🥵

The same way rivamika found trust and a way to bond, so did eren and historia. In their own way they. It’s funny because both of their development are so weirdly ignored by the aot general fandom, gee I wonder why 😒 anyway through these similarities or whatever you may call it you can really see who they each really care for and value over the other.

Lastly

LMAO idk how much people considers pieck and Porco canon as potential lovers but this shot of porco really reminded me of Levi’s jealous look. Not to mention pieck resembled mikasa with that ponytail

Although I support jeanpiku I always had this feeling that porco and pieck might have been shipped together and they are, in this scene ( I haven’t watched the ep) I ASSUME porco is looking at her this way because of these men around looking at her and blushing, well it does resemble another grumpy old man. Anyway I’ll never shut up about that scene with both historia and Levi looking at their partners, jealous and shit 💆‍♀️💅💅💅

"Rock my world" - Sirius Black x reader

Summary: When y/n finally agrees to check out this band that her best friend was always talking about, she's in for a pleasant surprise and one hell of a night.

It had all started in the cheesiest and most cliscé of ways, really. Y/n had made a bet which had made you go out of your comfort zone that one night and for your bravery, you were rewarded with the most amazing boyfriend ever. It sounds like a story out of a rom-com or a romance novel, doesn't it? Well, yeah, it felt like a main character moment but, unlike what we see in those stories, it wasn't always fun and games.

But let's start from the beginning, shall we?

Y/n's best friend Jules had been nagging her about this rock band who was apparently the new sensation of the year according to her, for the longest time. So, one Friday night, when Jules had informed her that that very band was playing in a bar not very far from her workplace, she agreed to go for drinks there.

Worst case scenario, she thought, the music will be terrible but at least I get to tease Jules about it.

Still clothed in the floral dress she had chosen this morning, but adding a few glittery touches and graphic eyeliner to make her look more nighty, y/n headed towards said bar where Jules was already waiting for her.

"Finally," she huffed when y/n rounded the corner and entered her field of vision. 

"Sorry, it was my turn to close tonight," y/n shot her an apologetic smile before hooking their arms.

They made their way inside looking for a place to sit. The bar was already crowded but not in an unusual way. Maybe it was the hour or the fact that it was a weeknight, y/n didn't know but felt grateful that it wasn't packed. She really wasn't a fan of crowded places.

They got their drinks and caught up as they usually would about their week. They were almost finished when the band walked up the stage and music started playing. Even before the first note, one look at their outfits made clear what kind of music they were going to play. 

They had an interesting aesthetic, y/n had to admit. They wore the same colour but each member had their own style. The band was made up of four guys, the bassist had long straight hair and he looked a lot like the singer who instead had curly hair, the drummer had short curly light brown hair and y/n couldn't see what he was wearing past a black vest while the guitarist had black hair that was all over the place and wore glasses. 

They had an androgynous aesthetic, each of them with beautiful makeup in tones of black and grey and the ones y/n could see clearly were wearing a sort of body. They looked stunning. Y/n had decided she liked them based on this alone. She had to admire anyone who had the guts to express themselves freely especially when it was in such an open and unapologetic way of going against gender norms.

After half an hour, the music stopped and after the singer wished everyone goodnight and they all climbed down. As she expected, they played rock music ranging from soft rock edging pop to hard rock that made her think a lot of ACDC. Y/n wasn't an expert in music but she had liked what she heard and wouldn't mind listening more from them. She was sure that she was going to catch some of their songs on the radio in the future. 

However, Jules picked up the conversation where they had left it before the concert and decided that it was the time where she'd complain about her recent love interest. Each of their weekly meetings had one of this moment. Unfortunately, it looked like Jules didn't have a lot of luck when it came to guys. And as it always would, she wondered if she was the problem asking y/n if the reason every one of her relationships failed because she was unlovable. As if.

"That's not true, I truly believe that you can learn to love anyone. Lest you get to know them, of course."

"Of course you'd say something like that."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"If you truly believe that, then you're not going to say no to this." Jules wriggles her eyebrows suggestively and y/n knew that the night is either about to become very interesting or about to go very wrong.

"The expression on your face is telling me that I should definitely say no to what you're about to say."

"Oh c'mon, it's just an innocent dare. Nothing too crazy, I promise."

"Which is?"

"You see that guy leaning on the bar? Long black hair with the black leather jacket?" Y/n turned around indulging her friend and eventually spotted the guy she was talking about. She took her time to look at him until she realized something that made her whip around to face Jules again.

"You mean the singer of the band?" y/n asked incredulously.

"Isn't he handsome?" Jules smiled wide completely ignoring the look y/n was giving her already knowing what was going through her friends' mind. "I want you to go to him and ask him out."

"What?" 

"C'mon", Jules complained reaching out to y/n over the table, "didn't you say that it was possible to love anyone? Can't you see yourself loving him?"

"That's not the point," y/n exclaimed still not believing that her friend was suggesting something so outrageous. "Can you see him loving me?" Because that man over there had "heart breaker" spelt all over him. And okay, y/n had to admit that this was a rush judgment she was making and it wasn't exactly fair but there was no way that a guy like him could be interested in a girl like her.

And yes, we could stay here and discuss all the reasons why that statement is wrong but still, if she were to put herself out there -something that was not like her at all- she wasn't going to go over someone so out of reach for her. And that was that.

"Listen, do you remember that video you sent me the other day?" Jules squared her shoulders, now looking fully serious at y/n. Unfortunately, y/n did remember the video Jules was talking about. She would have never guessed it would come back and bit her in the ass otherwise she'd never sent it.

Sighing, y/n looked down at the drink in her hands and thought about it. The video basically encouraged the viewer to go up to what they believed was the most beautiful person in the room and tell them exactly that. It may sound a little silly but at the time y/n had appreciated the sentiment. Going out of one's comfort zone. Challenging yourself. Because, what was the worst that could happen? That person shotting you down? That didn't sound life-threatening. Now though, y/n wasn't so sure. 

"Worst case scenario, just tell him I'm calling you and head back here." Jules offered, almost as if she could tell exactly what her best friend was thinking.

Looking at her best friend, something snapped in her. Jules was right. What's the worst that could happen? She already knew that the guy was going to shoot her down. She was prepared. It was a dare, a silly thing that could give her a story to tell to her nephews one day. 

What the hell, y/n thought squaring her shoulders. 

"You know what?" she downed the rest of her drink and got up from her seat, "I'm doing it." Looking in the reflection of the tissue box on the table to check how she looked, she fixed her smudged lipstick and ruffed her hair before nodding solemnly at Jules and turned around.

As she made her way to the bar, she could hear Jules cheering on her fueling her sudden confidence. 

The man of the hour was there where she saw him last. Her steps faltered as she realized that she had no idea how to approach him. What was she going to say? Oh my god, she was totally going to make a fool of herself. If she was not going to die for his rejection, she sure is going to die of embarrassment. 

She was almost about to turn around and abort the mission when his eyes met hers.

Well, fuck. There was no way she was going to back down now.

She regained her confidence and smiled at him while closing the distance between them. She smiled at him. Who was she? Did someone drug her drink?

He smiled back at her, turning so that he'd be facing her once she reached him and she almost stopped to pinch herself to see if she was hallucinating or something.

"Hey," she said once she stood in front of him. Good, she thought, let's start with something simple.

"Hi," he smiled back at her.  

Okay, okay, it's going good, isn't it? He hasn't ignored me, that must mean something, right? Yes, that he wasn't a rude asshole was her sobering thought.

"So," y/n started trying to take to time while she figured what to say, "I saw a video the other day," was what she ended up with. 

The handsome stranger lifted his eyebrows in amusement and took a sip of his beer. Y/n took that as a "go on then".

"There was this woman that basically dared anyone watching to go up to the person who they thought was the most beautiful person in the room and tell them exactly that." Well, let's just get it out of the way, I guess, she thought. "So, here I am," she added as if it wasn't clear enough.

However, as she saw the man's smile widen, y/n suddenly realized how really screwed she was. This man was way out of her league.

"Well, now that I'm here, I should also mention that you've really good at what you do too." 

"Not to sound rude or anything," he spoke for the first time that evening and y/n had already decided that he had been the gods' favourite in another life before he opened his mouth but now? as he heard his low and raspy voice? she was sure he had been at least a demi-god, "did you lost a bet or something?" he asked, his grey eyes boring into hers like he was looking into her soul.  

Who was this guy? and why was she feeling like this? Get a grip, y/n, she scolded herself.

"Is it that obvious?" y/n's shoulders slouched as some of the tension left them, a nervous laugh leaving her mouth. 

"I saw you downing your drink like it was some kind of bravery potion before you came here," he explained with a light scroll of his shoulders. "Not that I mind though," he added with what should be an illegal smirk. Smug.

"Yeah, I'm sure you've heard it countless time only tonight." Let's joke on it, she thought, there's still a chance I can come clean out of this mess. 

He chuckled and, not leaving her eyes, he slipped a hand through his loose hair pushing it back. "I meant that if you hadn't come I would probably found an excuse to come up to you too." He leaned back onto the bar looking completely unbothered, not as if he had said something that made her feel on fire. 

"Looks like I've to thank your friend for my luck." Looking over your shoulder, he held one of his hands up and lightly waving at Jules, y/n figured.

"Yeah, let's not tell her that or I will never hear the end of it." Rolling her eyes, y/n also leaned on her arm resting on the bar next to him. Whether it was the fact that all the cards were on the table or that what he said meant that he had to somewhat like her, she felt more relaxed than a couple of minutes ago.

"Before I make this solemn oath, I think it would be appropriate to know your name, don't you think?"

"It's y/n," she held her hand up for him to shake. However, he had something else in mind since when he took hold of her hand he turned it and held it up to his lips to leave a soft kiss on it. Y/n  almost rolled her eyes at the gesture if it wasn't for his eyes. They didn't move from hers and she found that she didn't want to stop looking at him. Like she was in a trance. Yes, he was handsome, even more so up close, so of course he was nice to look at but that wasn't why. It's the way his eyes glimmered as they watched her, the gentleness with which he was holding her hand, the softness of his lips on her skin. What would they feel like on her lips, she wondered.

"I'm Sirius." 

And that's how it all started. A silly video sent almost automatically to her best friend and an outrageous bet made y/n's night definitely interesting. To her luck though, Sirius became a permanent presence and not a one-night sensation.

I am doing well! The move was fairly uneventful - yay! I did accidentally take a pot that was my housemates (it just looked SO MUCH like one of mine, and not at all like any of hers 😂), and I found out I left my salt, pepper, and all my cooking "liquids" (i.e. oil, cooking sherry, etc). Luckily, I only moved a block away, so she already has her pot and I'll be grabbing that stuff today. lol

Obviously Cassian likes to watch those with her, let her snuggle up to him so he can be as much a comfort as the movies are. But other than those, Cassian never really admits to liking rom-coms, and yet every time they watch them he becomes heavily invested in the relationships and Nesta just sits there, smugly, like "sure, you don't like rom-coms". But there's no specific fav beyond Nesta's comfort movies because, again, it's Cassian - his favorites are Nesta's when it comes to romances. 👀

I could also so Gwyn enjoying period pieces, and Az definitely feels a kinship with Mr. Darcy due to how shy the man is. But, for favorites, I think they'd be a big Hallmark Channel couple. They both enjoy the certainty of the happily ever after, and Az enjoys how easy it is to guess what will happen, because he doesn't get in trouble for doing just that and getting it right the way he does with more complicated and shocking endings and twists. Gwyn still hasn't forgiven him for spoiling the twist in 'Interstellar'.

Nessian + Gwynriel Bonus

I'm convinced these two would watch 'Love Actually' every year, and spend the entire time teasing each other on which couple the others are and things like that. Az is always telling Nesta and Cass they're the stand-in couple, the ones that are naked for half their scenes. Nesta likes to tease Gwyn and Az that they're, essentially, the little children - Sam and Joanna. Az is like "no, we're Colin Firth and his girl", because we could understand each other across languages, to which Nesta and Cassian both laugh hysterically at. Cassian tries to say that he and Nesta are the Prime Minister and Natalie, but Nesta sits there like "nah, we're Daniel and Karen." Cassian argues, "but they're not even together!" And Nesta is like, "no, but she calls him a sissy, and that just fits".

Elucien

'He's Just Not That Into You'. I may be projecting here, but idk, it just seems like it fits. And always ends with Elain looking over at Lucien and being like, "you're my exception". *Cue tears* I wanted to say they'd be into something sappy, but no, I think they'd like something a bit more fun, and would just be all over Gigi and Alex's relationship.

Oh okay, in the story I'm writing the character who is being penetrated is the dominant one, and I think it would be really hot for her to train him gradually over time to adjust and be able to accommodate her body, moulding and conditioning his dick as well as his mouth to be able to take her, purely for her own benefit. If you're that passionate about your work, write it the fuck anyway but don't ever go into someone's box sideways with the way you spoke to me at the end there.

Idk what any of this can be called? Idk if this counts but I often think that yuri is very brother/father like is because he was/is lonely and thus wants other to not feel lonely. Someone to rely on you know?

Why do I say he is still lonely? His best friend is a *popular* and ideal knight and he failed to be one, nobody else on the city seems to be close to his age group or to understand him on a moral level.

He does have repede now, but is not the same relationship a human would need when younger.

Another hc! Personally I think raven is constant pain. Like chronical pain so when he says he is too old to do things, it's actually the toll of having that thing on him.

Another one! About flynn, I often think that even though he managed to become a great knight and achieve things, I think he doesn't feel like it's right. Not like he isn't good and wanted it, it just feels like a fraud sometimes specially when he compares himself to yuri. He might feel quite lonely as well.

I have an extra one from estelle and Rita. I got the vibe they are romantically on to something. But because of estelle's title is not easy to pursue it. Rocky road ahead, awkward moments of " I found you a potential fiancée " to estelle and as they get older the harder it is to hide it. These aren't bad at all, I actually like all of them!! I especially like the one with Raven (he totally isn't my favorite or anything...😇). I feel like that fits very well with his character. Despite everyone always calling him an old man, he's quite young (only 35), however, he definitely acts like he's old. Like the way he's always getting worn out quickly after long treks and battles and needing to take a break. I definitely think whatever he experienced in the past really left a lasting impact on his health. Plus, being under the command of Alexei and not exactly being able to disobey orders, I wouldn't be surprised if he's pushed himself way too far on more than one occasion. And, given his tendency to hide his problems behind jokes and lightheartedness, I wouldn't be surprised if he just does one of his little remarks about him being an old man and everyone takes it as a joke even if he is really hurting. If he even says anything about it at all. To add on to that, a lot of times cold weather can worse chronic pain, especially joint pain, and Raven hates the colds. He does like the warm weather however and sometimes warmer climates can help. He seemed to feel pretty good out in the desert, doing flips and all lol. ---- I definitely do get the vibe that Yuri is lonely. He said once that one of the only person he can trust is Flynn and he seems to spend a lot of time thinking and talking about him even when he's surrounded by other people. But I also feel like every time he does seem him his sense of inferiority and unworthiness is part of what causes him to only end up lashing out. I feel like he thinks (or rather knows) that Flynn is disappointed in him or doesn't approve of his actions so he just shuts down and leaves before he even gets the chance to see/hear Flynn's response. I feel like Flynn is probably the same, his best friend is off running around freely and living his life by his own rules, surrounded by a group of equals whereas Flynn is under the control of someone else and he's superior to the others in his group. But yeah, he's a young guy who kind of just sort of had his power handed to him suddenly and had a lot of pressure put on him at once. He seemed to start having a moral crisis around that time too so I definitely think that feeling of inadequacy would likely come out at that time. ---- The one for Ristelle really stomps on my heart 😭 You’re so right, I never thought about that before. I haven’t made it to the end of the game yet but at least from what it seems like right now Estelle won’t be taking up a position of power?? But in an AU where she does (or if she just does it in the end and I haven’t seen it yet) I could see that whole thing causing a lot of stress and worry for both of them. I think Estelle would also end up wrapped up in work a lot and not always have time for Rita and sometimes have to put her duties (maybe even marriage included, unfortunately) over her relationship with Rita :( Anyway, thank you for all of these! They gave me so much to think about :D

Fruits Basket - Vol 17

I am,,, confused. Thoroughly. Did I read this too fast? Am I misunderstanding? This book felt like a series of "What? Huh? What? Huh? What? Whuhh?? Huhhhhh?????" and I am kinda bewildered.

So let's talk about it,,, somehow.

It starts with Shigure and Hatori talking about Akito's meltdown at New Year's, and how apparently Shigure tried to comfort Akito, but Akito was having none of it. The topic of Kureno came up, and how he just seems off, disconnected, in a sense, and also how Akito seems to have chosen Kureno above all the other Juunishi.

Panning over to Kureno, in the previous book Momiji gave him the CD of the play, "Sorta Cinderella". He seemed pretty affected by the things that Uotani said, but they also reminded him of moments with Akito, when he was younger. He calls Shigure later, asking for Tohru, which Shigure finds odd. What business would the two of them have? But it turns out that later, Tohru does run into Kureno, on her way to the store. She was squatting next to a bunch of birds, and when he showed up, they flew away. This is important at all, because that isn't what usually happens to the animals that the Juunishi share a spirit with (agh how to phrase things), in fact it's the opposite. Tohru asks Kureno about this, and then he solidifies any questions by hugging her and,,,, nothing happens. Somehow, he isn't affected by the curse. It has no hold on him, he won't turn into a bird (I suppose a rooster, specifically, which is kinda sad bc I was looking forward to that, in a little way. It'd be funny, if nothing else) if he gets really weak or sick, or if he hugs someone of the opposite sex.

Tohru asks him how this happened, and when, but Kureno doesn't really know. It happened randomly one day, a while back, but he has no idea was triggered it. It's just that, one day, he was vibin, doing his thing, and it just happened. No one else in the family knows, he's just been pretending that he's still a Juunishi. Kureno also said that he can't be with Uotani, that the CD was a wasted attempt, because he's promised to be with and take care of another person, that person being Akito. Kureno makes it clear, though, that he still does care for Uotani, but he just can't be with her. This whole time, it's been switching between the current interaction between Kureno and Tohru, and flashing back to when Kureno first realized that the curse broke for him, and Akito was just fucking losing his mind, screaming and shit. He begged for Kureno to stay, regardless of the curse (btw, at this point, Kureno's a teenager, and Akito's still a little kid, so it was a little while ago), and Kureno said that he would promise to stay with Akito, stay by his side, pretend that he's still a Juunishi, etc.

And then, at the end of the chapter, something is revealed: apparently Akito's a girl. To be honest, I'm not really sure what to do with this information. As far as I can remember, it doesn't really have much to do with anything. Why has he (she? fuck. I have no idea.) been presenting as a boy this whole time? Because his mom forced him, since he was born. Why did she do that? I don't know, it didn't say in this book. Hopefully it fucking clarifies later on, because I'm just getting vibes from that one Insidious movie, with that ghost/demon person. Wasn't that their deal? Something like that. Reversed, but something like that. Idk, I was too busy being scared shitless to think about the intricacies of the plot.

Anyway, so Akito's apparently a girl, but has been raised as a boy. Four of the Juunishi know this: Shigure, Hatori, Ayame, and Kureno, because they were all kids when Akito was born. Apparently, when Akito's mom (her name is Ren) was pregnant with Akito, they all came to her and were crying and shit, acting super weird. Like, they all just knew that Akito would be the God.

As a fun side note, Ren and Akito fucking hate each other. Just,, so much. Is there a person in the Sohma family that doesn't have familial issues, because it just seems like there are a lot of people who do. I think maybe Kagura doesn't? I haven't seen anything saying she has issues. Nothing much has been said about Shigure's, Hatori's, or Kureno's families, so maybe they're okay? I dunno, but one of the things that specifically shows up between Ren and Akito, is that Ren does not believe in the "bond" that Akito and the rest of the Juunishi have, saying that it's a fake love, that, if given the choice, the Juunishi would not behave or treat Akito the way they do, which is kinda true. From what I read about when Yuki first met Akito, there were a lot of conflicting feelings, ranging from "I hate you but also I never want to be away from you" to "This is hell on earth just being near this person but also to be away from this person is agony", and like, whoa. That's a lot. I doubt it's like that at all anymore, but there has been some mentions that Akito does have some higher hold on the Juunishi than other people do.

All this said and done, I still want to know more. I am heavily curious. I'd like to know more about Akito's whole situation. I'm glad he's not just a one-dimensional "bad guy", but dang, some of this stuff, it just feels like it's coming out of left field. (Is that a baseball thing? That sounds like a baseball thing. Idioms are weird.)

By the time that Kureno leaves, Tohru's a wreck. She's crying, and confused, and just,,, yikes. (I kinda was too, but just the confused part.) And so who comes to the rescue than Hanajima, and also Hanajima, but the small one. (I realized recently that most of these people are referred to by their first names, except for like, Uotani and Hanajima, which makes sense. A massive swath of these characters would all be "Sohma". It'd be confusing as fuck. But still. Idk) Hanajima felt Tohru's sheer confusion and despair, and Megumi tagged along because why not, y'know?

Hanajima decided that Tohru would stay with her for the night, so that she and Tohru and Uotani could all talk stuff out about what Tohru was upset about. Unfortunately for Shigure, Yuki and possibly Kyo? I don't think he was home at the time but maybe??, that meant that Tohru wasn't making dinner. So Yuki potentially gave Shigure and himself food poisoning, but hey, it's better than takeout, right? (Seriously, Tohru's back must be tired from cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, and dealing with everyone's emotional baggage, she's doing so much. And she still has her own personal shit that she does, like,,, how hasn't she lost her shit yet??)

Tohru says that Kureno was kind, in that he was looking out for other people's feelings and wellfare before his own, and Hanajima says that she (Tohru) does the same thing (which is what Uotani first saw in Kureno, and why she thought that he was like Tohru), but Hanajima worries that the more that Tohru does that, the more that she carries the worries and troubles of other people, it could end up hurting her. (We love a caring friend that cares) In the end, Uotani tells Tohru that it's okay, that she cares more about the relationships she has now than whatever she might have had with Kureno, which was nice.

Moving onwards, the school is making preparations for graduation! I don't think Tohru and Co. are graduating quite yet (maybe they are idk), but there are these paper flowers that they're making, and for some reason, shenanigans ensue. Like, a group of girls just nabbing a bunch of flowers that Kyo made?? Why? That's really weird of you to do. Stop that. (They were tracked down and forced to make up for all the flowers they stole, because for some reason they wouldn't give back the flowers they stole.) It's kinda weird, I forgot that Kyo is also kinda popular with girls, because usually we only hear from the girls that fawn over Yuki. But yeah, that's a thing for Kyo, as well. Weird, either way.

Now we are at the last chunk of the book, hooray! This isn't as long as the previous one 😬. So, Shigure and Akito got something weird going on. I'm not really sure what to think of it, honestly. Apparently Shigure slept with Ren, and Akito kicked him out of the main house as a punishment, which Shigure did not fight back at all. (wow that was not a large section at all i totally didn't just lose steam and stop right there at all nope not me i don't do that not at all)

I'll admit that part of me is still kinda,, squeamish? I guess? about people in the Sohma household being in relationships, it's just that they all have "Sohma", that is probably messing me up. Idk. It's definitely not a healthy relationship. All kinds of weird tensions and miscommunication abound. It's not a good time.

I was tagged by @joyful-soul-collector​ (thank you this is possibly one of my favourite tag games) ... Okay also also before I could finish this up, @hyba also tagged me so uh it’s 22/11 instead, ty ty. You two might want to check the tag list cause uhhh you might be there who knows not me c:

The rules are: Answer the 11 (22 this time but hush) questions, make up your own 11 and then tag... I think it’s 11 people but I don’t know 11 people who I haven’t already tagged so...

I sort of started spamming pictures to answer a question so I’m gonna... put the pictures under the cut. 

1. Have any of your OCs ever stolen something? What did they steal, and why? Oh yeah sure - the first one I can think of easily is Cain. He used to live on the streets so had to steal to survive. But he’d also work for money. He’s not heartless, just desperate. 

Also now I’m thinking about it, Tag would definitely be the kind of guy to just... hey I know I’m meant to hand this gear in but... no-one will miss it so.... he steals to amuse himself with the gadgets he gets. 

2. Did you ever have imaginary friends as a kid? What were they like? I copied my sister in having pretend animal friends, but not really. Who needs imaginary friends when you have real-life ones lol I was a lot more liked as a kid.

3. Do any of your  OCs have a favorite article of clothing? Why is it their favorite?

Uhhhh

Um.

Yeah, you could say that. 

Andy likes his hoodie because it’s a thing that is only his. He didn’t get it from Murdock, I honestly don’t know WHERE he got it from, but it’s his, and the fact he owns anything means a lot to him.

Cain likes his because it’s one of the few things left over from when he was younger and again, it’s his. He didn’t steal it. It belongs to Only Him. He feels comfortable in it. 

4. What do you fist develop about a character when you make one up? Do you think of their appearance first? Their personality? Their backstory?

Honestly? It depends. Backstory always comes after, but personality and appearance often intersect. I know for WIP 3 I thought of personality and traits first, and for Collateral it was appearance first. I think for Sonder it was more.. their role in the story? ‘Oh hey this is the antagonist, this is the protagonist, this is the love interest wait I hate romance, okay, side kick’ etc

5. Fluff or Angst?

If it’s not romantic? Fluff. I made myself angsty enough when I was younger, I want more happiness in my life.

6. Remember the color of that dress that everyone was debating about however many years ago? The one that was blue and black, or white and gold? What colors did you see?

7. Pick your bubbliest, happiest OC. Now tell me what will make them turn into your worst nightmare. I wanna see what makes them the angriest.

Oh boy, let’s see uhhh... Tag. Tag from WIP 3 who is undergoing the process of a name change. 

Seeing someone he loves die would twist him. Being isolated would eventually break him. Being unable to do what he loves would definitely upset him also. 

Also idk if you’ve heard about it but in his world, there’s a nifty ability called being a silvertongue and I know at least one silvertongue is not gonna exploit this but I also know of another who would even on this19-year-old kid so maybe it’s not by choice but that could make him a nightmare. Just sayin’

8. Now pick your angstiest, most emo OC. And tell me what would make them blush and giggle like an idiot. I wanna see what makes them the happiest.

Okay for this one it’s a tie I write a lot of angsty characters. 

>Andy - seeing something just. Really funny. Oh did Sam just fall over in a ridiculous way? Fantastic. That’s actually how they first have a proper conversation. Sam falls over, he laughs, they talk.

>Cain - anything awesome that Duck does. Oh hey what’s up Goose oh you drew this radical picture? /tearing up/ it’s so great oh my gosh you’re so talented. That’s more being happy than giggling but can you see Cain giggling? No, me neither. 

9. If you could have any mythical creature for a pet, what would it be?

10. What’s your go-to thing for when you’re hungry but don’t have time/energy to cook something?

Fruit! It is! Very good! And tasty! Apples have a good cronch! Oranges are mmmm juicy. Banana? Yes nice thank you. Oh wow we have strawberries? What a sweet treat. Also healthy!

11. Do any of your OCs have scars? Would they be confident enough to show them in public (like at the beach)?

Oh yeah sure man. Andy’s got multiple from... ‘training’. He doesn't show them off. Cain, Duck and Theo have all been badly burnt on the arms, and Cain ‘’shows it off’’ just because it makes him uncomfortable to have his arms covered. And uh Raya probably has some sort of scar on her knees or elbow from rollerblading. Because you do fall over and it does scar.

1. What cultural value do you see in writing/reading/storytelling/etc.?

I think that without storytelling specifically, humans would be so... mundane? We’d be no different to any other animal on the planet. Creating anything, be that stories or art or literally anything is so... human. To take that away would be like taking away humanities soul. The cultural value isn’t really measurable - storytelling makes up the culture. 

2. Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?

Honestly, I have no idea. I try to entertain myself, and if other people like it too, then that’s neat. But because I’m writing for myself, I anticipate everything, so I don’t know if it’s original or not. I know it delivers what I want! But is that readers want? Who knows!

3. As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?

Crow. Not even as a writer, just... dude crows are so damn cool. 

4.  What do you think most characterizes your writing?

I’m not quite sure about the phrasing so uhhhh represents? Google is telling me ‘describes’. 

In which case, a midnight fever jolting you out of bed, moments before you could fall asleep, and puppeting you to a writing surface so you can splurge ideas onto it sounds about right. 66% of my WIPs have elements in them that were based on dreams. 

5. How do you select the names of your characters?

Mostly? Spite. ‘Oh Trade, you can’t have a bad guy named Andy, all Andy’s are good’ NOPE NOT ANYMORE SUCK IT. I also have a friend who is really good at coming up with names that fit the exact mood of the character so I go to her a lot. Sometimes they’re puns. 

6. Choose one of your OCs (or more). How would they want to be seen by others?

Sam from Sonder wants to be seen as someone people can talk to, but also someone who pursues a science because yes sociology is a science to her, shut up, don’t talk to me if you’re going to mention the words ‘paradigm’ or ‘objective’ thank you.

7. How do you find or make time to write? Are you consistent or do you write whenever you get the chance?

Hahahahahhahha.

In the past few months, I’ve not been writing because I’ve had exams. Before that, I wrote at every chance I had - being a student, I had a fair bit of free time during the day, so I’d use that to write. But for a while, it was a nothing on the ‘what has Trade written recently’ chart.

8. What does literary success look like to you? Is it important for you as a writer?

Literary success? That’s... a very interesting question. I think I’d be satisfied and feel successful if one person told me that my book helped them through something. 

Jokes on me, I’ve already had that, my books helped me, I have already succeeded, see you losers in hell.

Also fanart but uh who needs fanart when you draw enough for five armies?

9. Are there any scenes that you’ve had to edit out of your WIPs? Can you tell us about them if they don’t spoil the book?

YES oh lord yes okay so in Sonder, chapter 15, I decided around draft 2 that I wanted a scene where Atlas got drunk. I made up reasons for it, asked lots of friends about what it was like to be drunk (as I personally have never been drunk), attended parties to get first-hand research and did so much preparation. 

Wrote the scene, was pleased with it, left it to fester. Two years and two drafts later (now), I’ve come back and realised oh hey that scene is utterly useless and de-rails the plot. Time to remove it I guess. 

I rationalise it as ‘well you wrote it and you had fun but it’s not needed, move on’ and that works well for me. 

10. Would you feel comfortable publishing or sharing your writing using your real name, or would you prefer a pseudonym?

Pseudonym 100%. As cool as it would be to be able to go ‘hey I wrote this’ to people, the terrifying ordeal of being known is horrific, and people being able to track all my past activity from when I was literally seven is my worst nightmare. I wouldn’t even tell family or friends if I could get away with it. 

‘Hey [real name], there’s a book at Waterstones called Sonder? With the exact same characters, plot and writing style as you have? But it’s under [pseudonym]?’ ‘oh hey, really that’s wild. Anyway,’

11. When writing, do you try more to be original or do you prefer to deliver to readers what they want? Do you think that a book can do both? Which is more important to you as a writer?

Oh hey, this is like question two but MORE. Standing by my previous answer, I think a book can do both - people want a happy ending, usually, but you can always be original in how you do that. No two stories can be told in exactly the same way. And hey - even if people do guess what’s coming up, that’s good. 

As a writer? It’s most important to entertain. I don’t try and catch people out, I just deliver the story I have in my head and then edit it mercilessly until I’m pleased.
