The thing that doesn't make sense to me if Izuku resolved to kill is how it doesn't let them prove AFO wrong? AFO did his big reveal which only makes it clearer how deep the grooming went and it should've been time for Izuku to understand Tenko and Tenko to understand the abuse then reject the mindset forced onto him. But Izuku killing Tenko doesn't do that. Tenko just dies. It feels very wrong.
I guess Izuku just wasn't very interested in proving AFO wrong! Honestly, the only thing I immediately remember Izuku disputing the guy on was the same thing he disputed Shigaraki on: that he was anything more than a human being. AFO isn't a Demon King, but just a lonely man. Shigaraki hasn't transcended humanity; there's still a human somewhere deep inside of him. Izuku won't correct his allies' use of dehumanizing language for Villains, of course, but he's quick to push back when the Villains themselves self-aggrandize.
Sorry, I really only have withering disdain for Deku at this point. And I guess I don't really see any evidence that Deku was ever particularly driven by "proving AFO wrong." He wants to stop AFO, certainly, but that's because AFO is a monster who takes advantage of vulnerable people to maneuver them into doing Bad Things that advance AFO's Bad Plans and sets them onto Bad Paths that are difficult to walk back, not because he expressly opposes AFO on this or that ideological point about the nature of humanity and society.
(Hit the jump for the rest of a somewhat rambly reply.)
If anything, current evidence is that neither Deku nor the manga itself really do disagree with AFO about the frailty of humans, as expressed by Tsukauchi answering Deku's question about how to prevent future tragedies by shrugging and saying, "You don't, because life fucking sucks sometimes and that's just how it is. Our hands are completely tied on improving the system as we have it, so all we can do is punch out the Villains that appear in front of us to stop them from causing more harm."
That's also me being a bit harsh, of course. The fact that Deku is even still asking that question in the epilogue suggests that the manga hasn't reached its final answer yet, and maybe it will yet come up with something better! It doesn't have much time left, but it's still possible!
All the same, Deku is still having to ask that question in the epilogue because he never truly faced it over the course of the story. Never thinking about what Shigaraki as a person said in favor of fetishizing the Crying Child, never coming up with any kind of non-violent plan of attack or conversational approach, I have to ask what exactly about Shigaraki did Deku ever disagree with AFO on?
AFO, in the end, characterized Shigaraki as a puppet he molded exactly as he desired, a doll who he sculpted and programmed to act as he wished, a feeble child who has never made a single decision that AFO didn't cultivate him to make. So far as I can tell, Deku never really contested that framing. He didn't know the extent of it until the full reveal, of course, but Deku, like AFO, insisted on approaching Shigaraki solely through that "Crying Child" lens. He seemed to believe that nothing Shigaraki said or did on the surface really mattered (save as a reason that Shigaraki had to be stopped and potentially killed), that the "truth" of Shigaraki was that feeble little weeping boy who never grew up.
How could Deku possibly "prove AFO wrong" in that context? He doesn't even disagree with him! I mean, he's got some nice talk about how people deserve a second chance, sure; he says that people doing wrong doesn't make them Villains for the rest of their lives. What does do that, however - insofar as I can tell from how opaque the series keeps Deku throughout the final war - is refusing the hand out of the darkness. You stop being a victim and become a Villain for the rest of your life by choosing to remain a Villain even when offered an alternative (no matter how patently awful that alternative is).
Shigaraki chooses to remain a Villain and Deku doesn't have a counter for that because Deku never really got past the false binary represented by Villains and Victims to begin with. And I think the same goes for people who expected Shigaraki to just fold when he realized the extent of the grooming he'd undergone. Disallowing Shigaraki any agency in who he is and what he's done is defining him the same way AFO and Deku both did; when Shigaraki refuses to accept that framing, refuses to be a passive victim, the only thing left for him to be is a Villain. And when a Villain refuses to stop...
Well, Hawks already told us what the Heroes' answer to that is. "Someone has to die." As no one ever stepped up to prove him wrong, as far as the story is concerned, he isn't.
AFO always knew that victims can be turned into Villains with the right nudges; that's the whole reason for him cultivating "warped seeds" whenever and wherever he found them. Hero Society is - and always has been - much too rigid in its enforcement of the Hero/Villain/Victim narrative to effectively combat him. Crucially, Deku - the boy who wants to bring everything back just the way it was - doesn't disagree with him. He thinks AFO is an asshole for setting people up to fail, but he doesn't disagree about what failure means. So if AFO, Deku, and the story itself are all in agreement, what's even there for Deku to disprove?
Now, there is something that would prove AFO wrong, but it isn't something you can do while insisting on drawing lines to separate sad manipulated woobie victims who just need to be saved from awful unrepentant villains who just need to rot. It isn't something you can do while infantilizing Shigaraki Tomura.
The way to prove AFO wrong is to make room in society to help all Villains. Even if they aren't asking for it, even if they never ask for it, and even if they're jolly bastards who don't really deserve it! As long as there's a point at which it becomes okay to give up on trying to save Villains, Shigaraki will remain unsavable. He will insist on being unsavable. He could no more let that go than All Might could step aside and let AFO's attack kill an innocent at Kamino.
That's what it means to be a Hero for Villains.
Ultimately, what makes AFO right is that he knows that Hero Society makes it difficult if not impossible to uncross the victim-to-Villain bridge, and so anyone who does cross that bridge (with or without his influence) is that much more susceptible to him. Deku, in turn, thinks the only Villains he can save are those who drop everything and come sprinting as fast as they can back to the Hero side, so anyone who won't do that is someone he can't help.
Shigaraki refused to stop trying to create a better world for Villains. Toga refused to live in a world that would imprison her. Twice refused to give up on the friends no Hero would help. It's the same with every other Villain who refused to quietly endure their status quo: in a society that refuses to change how it treats Villains, anyone who won't submit to suffering in silence cannot be saved.
That's the paradigm AFO exploits, and Deku will never prove him wrong without resolving to change the paradigm first. We'll see if the last two chapters get him there.

I can't believe Horikoshi decided to parallel togachako with shigaraki and deku, but also with kacchan and izuku, because there are multitudes into their relationship.
Ochahimi has this obvious textual side going on for a long time that its meant to be seen along Shigaraki Tomura and Midoriya Izuku: a hurt villain and a hero who feels the need to stop the pain. Two sides of the same coin. Will they take their hand? How could they reach out? Is there any hope for the rejected? We have different scenes in which its clear Uraraka and Midoriya have this idea of saving someone who is hurt even if they are a villain, the flashbacks of their conversation before the war, but surprisingly Ochako doesn't think of it as much as Izuku in this final battle -clearly stated, is when Himiko is giving her own blood to save her and explaining how she felt like her heart was floating when Uraraka touched her. The flashback reminds us of Izuku talking about how "maybe theres no way to avoid a battle, but I cant ignore what I saw deep inside him".
But Ochako isn't happy even if she got there, even is Toga tells her she made her happy. She's tired, sad, and desperate to stop her when she cant even move.
Its difficult to analyze Izuku's emotions, but once again, we can try to work with what we currently have! As far as we know, Izuku isn't really having that much of a conflict in terms of if he should save Tenko or not -the problem was external. What would the OFA users think? He challenged them by staying true to his inner core, and they accepted him, but we don't see him struggling with the idea of him reaching out to Tenko in itself like Ochako, who actively tried to forget about Himiko.
I interpret his flashbacks to his conversation with Ochako as a reminder of the person behind the villain, because he is also feeling something else: anger. Izuku was really hurt during this battle both physically and, I would argue mostly, mentally. As he himself said, he can't forgive Shigaraki, just try to stop the crying child from hurting, and the reminder of Ochako's own goals and words are a reminder of his own intentions; lets not forget, moments later he took control after seeing Katsuki's dead body, he attacked Shigaraki in ways that would cause severe damage -like in the middle of his chest, causing a hole.
Uraraka doesn't actually try to hurt Toga, but use her martial arts training in order to both dodge and tackle her, so she can hear what she has to say. I re-read the chapters around Katsuki's revival, because I was wondering, "does Izuku remember this before or after he locked eyes with Bakugou?", and the answer is after*. The other time he thought about it was before leaving the togatsuchako battlefield, when Ochako encourages him to not worry and go get Shigaraki.
So, what I mean by this is, Ochako Uraraka and Izuku Midoriya are not the same person, and they don't feel the same way for their main villains, just like Tomura Shigaraki and Himiko Toga don't feel the same for their main heroes, and are not the same. Izuku actually feels resentment and anger for Shigaraki, he cant forgive him, but he also doesn't want to kill and punish like that; he is a savior, if he has to fight he will, but in his heart he knows what he prefers' maintaining peace, and help the ones who are vulnerable. He sees the villain, and he sees the child who grew up abused and sad; he is a sweet boy, ofc he would try to stop the crying somehow. His conflict with him now, Im guessing, is that he doesn't really feel like he actually saved him -after all, he disappeared after the last punch, and he still considered himself the leader of the league who wanted to destroy everything. He gave him his autonomy back and tried his best, but his last words and request feel like a completely different "task" than what he envisioned; it makes him think, about what heroes and villains even mean in their society, and who gets to decide those things. How can he continue with Shigaraki's legacy?
In another hand, Ochako's conflict don't come from her own moral compass, but from what she is supposed to do; before she even saw sadness in her face she thought positive things about her -she has a cute smile, she is really honest with her feelings, and isnt scared to be open with others, and she envies that. She envies the villain Himiko Toga, and relates to her, and feels connected to her. So her pain feels even more personal when it shouldn't; she isnt her family, she is someone who has tried to hurt her and her friends over and over while being so happy about it. She is weird!
Besides the thoughts about society and who helps both heroes and villains, which are really important for her character and goals, the other side of their problem is... the way Ochako was refusing to see and accept her own weirdness. Interacting with Himiko was chaotic, confusing, and left her full of doubts about herself and what she wants, because isnt she even weirder if she wants to be more like her? How can she admit those thoughts out loud? Anyone would agree that behavior is disgusting, but... she can't hate her. She can't try to punch her, or hurt her, and she never was able to no matter how much she tried to convince herself this is the only way.
Her conversation with Izuku opened her mind and heart to start accepting what she truly wants to do to Himiko instead of what she has to do as a hero. What does she want? To stop her. Her hurt. Her tears. To make her happy, and to keep her alive. She wants to see everyone happy, to get peace.
This is why her conflict is both related to Shigaraki and Deku, and Katsuki and Izuku; in one aspect its about morality, heroism, villainy and society as a whole. Himiko will question how things works constantly, and she can't ignore it. And at the same time, there's an emotional side to it; she has multiple confrontations with her, where miscommunication and holding back hurts them both. She pushes herself to be more like others, but it doesn't feel right anymore; Himiko makes her see her own self hatred, and jealousy and care grow more and more. Why can't see just do the right thing to maintain peace?
Just like Izuku was surprised by Katsuki's tears during their second fight, Ochako gets concerned by Himiko's, when she interpreted Uraraka's words as her rejecting her love -and therefore, whole self. Is not until the second war that she even realizes Toga actually loves her in the same way she loves Izuku, being a little clueless herself.
It doesnt sit right with her to do the "normal" thing, because she isn't normal at all; she thinks about making a villain happy, and how lovely her smile is. Her honesty and openness to be unapologetically herself, no matter how much others try to push her down or change her attitude; she hurts others, she knows that's wrong and agrees with that generalized sentiment... but hate her for it? She tries to do it, but it doesn't work. Inside of her heart, she knows what her emotions are telling her, and its not anger.
This is messy, my head hurts, but Im hoping I can write something better and longer in the future. I guess it makes more sense that drawing of Shigaraki, Izuku, Ochako, Himiko and Katsuki all together. I always wondered, if this is about heroism and society, Katsuki shouldn't be there, and if it is about emotions and rivalries, then it would be Tomura.
If you read this far, thank you for your time, and apologies for the confusion the writing could have caused you.
*My internet is going really slow, so im not re-reading all of the chapters after Izuku's arrival in the battlefield, so I cant 100% say this is the very first time he does remember it. Once im able to, or someone checks it for me -wether im right in my statement or not-, I'll edit it to be accurate with the material.

So, after reading and looking back over the last few chapters… remind me what was the point of showing Trash for One being the most manipulative manipulator who ever manipulated? To the point he was Tomura’s Dad’s Drinking Partner? Was it to just deflect all criticism of hero society and be like “Ohhh nooo it was really AFO, he’s the real source of tragedy… and not like the systemic problems that festered long before All Might?
Honestly, I think it was to give Deku an easy out.
Because yeah, the source of Tenko’s problems were societal issues well-established during and prior to All Might’s influence on society. But what’s Deku supposed to do about any of that? I don’t think he has it in him to even criticize All Might’s hero society or so much as acknowledge its flaws, let alone how to fix or improve them.
So instead focus shifted for a bit to Tenko specifically hating his house; y’know, the domestic abuse angle…Which Deku still doesn’t know how to deal with or have anything to really say about. So that’s a flop too.
So then it got changed to Tenko having self-deprecating views on his quirk and how no one would accept him for that, which we learned about that very chapter and makes little sense when you think about it (like, his many villainous friends and followers accept him fine); but hey, at least Deku can do something there…by giving a 2-panel speech about holding hands. This apparently completely erases Tomura’s hated. But also doesn’t actually resolve Tomura’s actual motives so that one’s actually a flop too.
Luckily(?) Deku erasing Tomura’s hatred also brings AFO back to life, who just so happened to also have given Tenko his trauma quirk and may have helped build the house; and Deku may have never grown past being an All Might clone in any way, but any All Might clone can punch a villain. (Sad he can’t save their victims when he does but a hard enough punch makes that problem disappear too.)
And apparently, he punches villains so inspiringly that it causes people to just resolve all those problems that festered long before All Might. Turns out it's just that easy (guess All Might wasn't punching hard enough).
And so, even though Deku basically failed to save Tenko to any real degree from pretty much every conceivable angle, it all just kind of works out in a way that’s really contrived & insulting and Deku still gets to save the day & fix everything by just punching AFO really hard. That was the point of bringing AFO back as the biggest bad behind everything.

The Hero Of Peace wears a 36D
Just posting this bc I started and then stopped it and kind of don't know if I'm gonna continue at some point but if ppl find it interesting hopefully it inspires some copycats.
---
Katsuki found himself contemplating different words for butt. There was darrier or posterior if one wanted to be polite. Butt was straightforward, almost clinical these days. Booty was found in all of the songs that didn't want to be outright crass. It specifically called to image women with a lot of booty. Ones with very prominent booties. But that was not all. There were other mundane words like buttocks, rear, or caboose. Keister if one wanted to get a little foreign with it. Children sometimes said tush or heiny if they were raised properly, Katsuki wasn't so he'd never used those. Cheeks reminded him of Round Cheeks, and Round Cheek's lower cheeks were not on his mind when he came up with the nickname so he didn't particularly like the word. Finally there were words like ass. And while Katsuki may be an ass he did not usually find his mind occupied with them. Unless they were attached to one Keeper of the Peace hero who's arrival back into Japan came with some… transitions.
One year ago people online began to speculate. The uber fans could get quite occupied with their idols. Every appearance was scrutinized in heavy amount of detail, and heroes were no different. No matter the age. They'd all had weird theories about them floated around, but this one ended up being an iceberg problem in so far as it led down to a much deeper topic. Deku's ass had been steadily growing. The ass in question had always been great, but it was widening a noticeable amount for some months before the theory surfaced online. The first major guesses as to the cause was a new diet. Protein and squats sang the gym bros. In reality they were not wrong, Deku did enjoy squats. Not that Katsuki paid that much attention to them. But no, it was not just the exercises. It was not just a sudden influx of protein powder and egg whites. It was hormones. Estrogen to be specific. Prescribed and taken in secret, which over time gave Deku a lovely set of buns - another word for butt. Eight months after these rumors had begun to circulate Deku submitted a letter announcing not only a transition but a sabbatical. Six months out of country to transition and if everyone could please respect their hero's new identity that would be great kthxbye. Needless to say things had gotten interesting at the office. None of them had known, and Deku was long gone by the time the ball dropped and thus could not be questioned. It was genius if Katsuki said so himself, though he couldn't help but blow up a punching bag or two at the news. His poor mood was a mystery. Deku was gone for six months. And when she came back she jumped right in the middle of a villain attack without her gear, luggage at the train stop she'd dashed from. Through a mix of lack of practice and circumstance she'd been knocked, into Katsuki who'd gotten knocked into a nearby wall. A hilarious conga line of misfortune that ended with Deku's ass planted firmly in Katsuki's face. A 2/10 experience he'd have to let Mineta know. "Sorry Kacchan!" The voice said. Deku had always had a higher pitched voice, so even then it was recognizable. She reached down to help him up. She was still just a few centimeters shorter than him, making her a bit taller than most women in Japan. Before leaving her hair had been growing out, now it was cut in a shorter style with the sides faded. She wore little make up except for a very bold, red lip. Her travel clothes were just a green t-shirt and dark, blue jeans. Completely unsuited for battle. "Holy shit it's Midoriya." Shitty hair belted in his stupid, loud voice. "You look hot!" "Thanks Kiri!" She replied, though her eyes were on the gentleman with the tentacle monster quirk. "You don't look half bad yourself!"

MHA blurb #1
"Hey, bakubro, could you warm up my lunch with yours? We can split our lunches since my mom made extra for you," Kirishima asks Bakugou as they walk towards the cafeteria. Bakugou tsks at him and grabs the bento from Kirishima. Bakugou then heads toward the cafeteria microwave while Denki rushes to the table, pulling Shinsou behind him.
“Shinsou is joining us today! I, the all-talented, Mmmmm, wish I thought more about what I was going to say cause now I look kinda foolish here continuing my sentence and not actually finishing it. Anyways, Shinsou is here now, so scooch!” Denki finished his announcement by lightly pushing Sero so he could make space for Shinsou, who looked so tired and hopeless. Kirishima wonders if maybe they should get a sleeping bag for Shinsou like it helps Aizawa, so why wouldn’t it work on little Aizawa? Is it rude to compare your classmate to your teacher because they have the same sleeping habits and look equally defeated by life?
Shinsou takes a can of soda out of his pocket; he apparently had that in there for who knows how long. Mina looked at him with intrigue as she noticed his nails were quite long and wondered how he would open the can. She knows that she has to ask Kirishima or Sero to open her drinks when she gets her nails done. Like she can’t risk it popping off or, worse, cracking. Ugh, the boys will never understand the pain of your acrylic breaking like it hurts really bad. Maybe it’s different with natural nails? Jirou noticed Mina wasn’t joining the boys in talking about what happened in Mic-sensei’s class and saw her staring at Shinsou, who was staring at his soda in defeat. What could Mina possibly be thinking about? Did she see something that happened with the can that Jirou didn’t? Sero being as observant as he usually is, kicks Denki’s shin to get him to look at Shinsou, man does he usually look that pathetic; Shinsou sighs and moves to open the bag that he brought with him. Denki, sensing the energy and also not one to waste a potential opportunity, gets his phone ready to record. Shinsou pulls out a can opener. Like it’s a nice can opener, I guess? Mina sees the gears in the boys’ heads fully stop and uses this as a distraction to grab some Oreos that Kaminari had just sitting there. Like if Kaminari is going to get distracted by the weirdness of a can opener instead of watching his snacks, that's his fault. Deku happens to walk past their table as he quickly leaves the microwave area as sees Kachan getting closer.
“Shinsou, is that a can opener? Please, tell me that I’m actually seeing this, and Kachan didn’t knock me out in training,” Midoriya asks, fully stopping at the table and blinking rapidly. There is no way Kachan’s weak punches managed to actually knock him out after all that training and tolerance he’s built up. Shinsou just nods and grumbles as he tries to line up the can opener with the top of the can. Shinsou is struggling as the can won’t seem to align with the can opener. Why have the gods deprived him of his need for caffeine and sugar?
“Shinsou, I am offering my assistance and approaching you slowly due to the trouble you seem to be experiencing as that is the third time you have had to realign the can opener with that can,” Midoriya says this calmly and slowly as he steps towards Shinsou as if approaching a feral cat. Is Midoriya always this weird? Kirishima does feel that this is excessive, but then again, it is Midoriya, and Shinsou is closer to him. For all we know, it very well could be justified. Jirou looks back to Mina to see what her take on this debacle is to see her taking what might be her fifth cookie. How long has she been swiping these?
“Hey Denki, I’m gonna grab an Oreo before Mina finishes all of them,” as Jirou says this, Denki just nods and waves one of his hands as he has been recording Shinsou’s attempts, and now the tug-of-war match happening over this can with Midoriya. Jirou takes that as a yes and picks out a cookie, and happily munches on it. She doesn’t understand the situation, but she also isn’t going to offer to pop the tab either. Due to all the pulling and probably squeezing, the soda ends up popping and spilling all over Midoriya and Shinsou. Man, Kirishima has never seen someone so defeated. Geez , what else has happened to Shinsou for him to look so accepting of defeat today? They really should schedule a nap for Shinsou or get him some caffeine after opening the can for him. Wait, why didn’t we offer to open the can for him? Like we totally would have if it was Mina, did I accidentally participate in sexism and let my fellow man fail? Denki lets out a loud laugh of shock as he wasn’t expecting the can to just explode. Well, after checking to see if the phone was safe from the liquid explosion. Man, bet Bakugou would’ve loved to see that explode in their faces; good thing he recorded it. Mina is just fully laughing at the face Midoriya is making and seeing him try to apologize to Shinsou, who is using his jacket to pat himself dry. Oh my gods, is Midoriya crying? Jirou is just here, happy she grabbed a cookie before this mess happened. Like no one wants to eat Oreos soaked in soda. She didn’t even know what type it was as there wasn’t even a label beside the word “Soda” on the side. Sero gets up after laughing with Mina for a bit and calming her down as she almost choked on her own drink. He went to grab some napkins and maybe ask for a mop. Would it be easier to look for an adult or ask Momo to make one? Denki stops his recording and happens to turn towards the Microwave line and sees Bakugou making his way over here. Oooo, those bentos do look good!
“Shit, Midoriya run; Bakugou is coming this way,” Denki rushes to tell Midoriya, who is now using his jacket to also help Shinsou clean up instead of grabbing some napkins. Midoriya, too stressed out and focused on making things better and resolving the problem he might have caused, couldn’t hear Denki. Denki truly tried, and now he prays that he won’t witness a bloody murder.
Bakugou, now at the table, hands Kirishima his lunch and says in the calmest and quietest voice they’ve heard from him all day,” What the fuck, Deku?” Midoriya just laughs awkwardly and waves while patting Shinsou with a damp hoodie.

you raise super interesting points about ofa!! i recall members of class 1-a discussing how bad it was when deku was awol, and how the fact that all might was with him wasn't actually reassuring, bc one just inherited the self-sacrificial work ethic from the other. and it makes complete sense that dialogue and scenes such as this one comment on japan's culture of overwork! i appreciate you pointing that out.
ofa, tonally, is very interesting in how it's treated in mha. there's its bloodied history of lives cut short, as well as aspects such as nana shimura sacrificing her ties with her family in an imperfect attempt of selflessness, creating her own domino effect of generational trauma. at the same time, it's tonally treated as such a rainbowy, optimistic, collaborative thing at times. iirc no one in the text really seems to outright question its supposed "moral good"--even hawks talks about it as this big heart-connector. which isn't to say we as readers can't or shouldn't disagree or view that with nuance. it's just that mha itself isn't consistent about answering the problems with ofa that it sets up *directly*, as far as i remember. but it does have its indirect, intentional answer in the form of deku being brought in to rest at u.a. before the final war. there's that emphasis on "who will look out for heroes?", and the implication from deku's perspective is that it's okay to lean on others--that it's not "one", aka just yourself, for the good of all, and that it's better to not do everything alone, no matter how "worthy" the cause may seem. mileage can totally vary on how cohesively and convincingly this was executed, ofc.
you made me realize something very cool about ofa just now, actually! whether intended symbolically by the text or not, it could be read that deku losing each wielder in the final fight is part of him saying goodbye to the previous generations' instruction. his power ends up being replaced not by the "wisdom" and pressure of the past, but by the literal culmination of his peers' wishes when they get him his suit. so there's that dimension of his new power being a manifestation of the "future" generation, moving forward and unburdened by what came before.
i admittedly don't recall all might punching deku or the context, but if i had to guess it was something the story played for laughs or something? honestly the culture at u.a. is wild at times. morally, across both result and intent, i personally place all might and endeavor in different categories (i say this as someone who fucks hard with endeavor's character, like so hard), though the toxicity of raising young heroes and what they put them through is such a real overlap! you make me really wish shoto had gone up to deku at one point and echoed his affirmation back at him, something about making the power his own or not having to define himself solely by his inheritance. they were already great foils as you pointed out, and a moment like that would've been SO GOOD. at least, i'm pretty sure that didn't happen? unless, again, i'm forgetting something crucial lol. and nw about the rant, as long as there's good faith going on, i welcome the enthusiasm! and clearly wordiness and going on tangents is not something i try to avoid, lmao
day 4 of being incredibly normal about hawks and endeavor (but mostly talking about manga spoilers in general):
mha is a story incredibly interested in exploring generational support, generational abuse, and what people pass on to each other (alongside hand motifs and showing the childhoods of different characters). you pretty much can't get through any arc without running facefirst into a plethora of examples, but ofa and afo are fun (and perhaps appropriate) places to start!
horikoshi features doomed siblings almost as much as he features terrible fathers, and these two are no exceptions. alongside those versatile hand motifs, afo literally uses his hands to take from others, while anything he has to "give" goes to those younger than him, and it's pretty much always a direct vehicle for trauma. it works well that he's lived for such a long time, literally sustaining his own life thanks to hoarding more and more power and resources for himself, while also giving him that age hegemony over all other characters we meet. he thusly kinda becomes the mustache-twirly Evil Dad² in a metaphorical sense, ruining the futures of others as he attempts to write his own narrative exactly how he wants it (storytelling is also a big theme in mha, go figure. when i consider that one definition of trauma--as something that disrupts the narrative one has of themself--and how AFO hands out trauma also as a way of commanding power and controlling the narrative, it really all comes together).
Yoichi is, of course, opposite in so many ways, centered around giving instead of taking. the inception of ofa began as a (very, uh, heterosexual i'm sure) act of granting freedom and sacrifice.
the ofa wielders don't just give their powers to the stockpiling quirk; they also give their lives, through combat or through cutting their lifespans or both. opposite to afo's Big Mean Father² lifespan, the lifespans of the ofa wielders are very short. they sacrifice their own futures to make the futures of others brighter. and of course, through the act of passing on the quirk, ofa necessitates an act of giving from one user to the next. it's a hand-off of counsel, support, and duty that helps shape each receiver into the best kind of hero they can be. afo passes down trauma, and ofa passes down tools for one's betterment. pretty standard parallels to how a bad caretaker/good caretaker can, even through a single act, shape an entire existence younger than them. relatable! trauma nation rise up!! 💪💪💪
with these themes in mind, then, it's a no-brainer as to why mha features so many godawful fathers (also i'd bet a hundred bucks horikoshi has daddy issues. a thousand. a trillion, honestly. gimme money). though relationships that fall outside the clear-cut power-dynamic of a parent to their child still carry these themes well. peer-to-peer,
sibling-to-sibling, etc., the list of other examples goes on and on!
endeavor's character certainly straddles a lot of these ideas, perpetuating a lot of column A (bad) and a bit of column B (good). he receives trauma from his father in the form of spiraling thoughts about failure and mortality (and maybe those two things are totally equivalent, right?) ((they're not)). his response to that trauma then goes far in the other direction, an obsession with herodom and invulnerability (especially avoiding or punishing emotional vulnerability) that passes the trauma right down to his family. in all his desperation to avoid the tragedy of his father's death, he ends up causing the tragedy to repeat itself, this time with touya's (apparent) death. it's even a direct result of the quirk he gave to touya. every intangible and tangible thing touya inherited from his father would only go on to hurt him, and the worst thing that could possibly have happened does indeed happen. instead of coming to terms with the fact that he gave touya the wrong things---trauma and a fire to burn himself with---he gives more of the same to shoto. surely the same tragedy won't repeat a third time. surely what he passes down to his youngest will make him come out of everything gloriously successful and *alive* (and those two things are totally, definitely equivalent) ((and again, they're not)).
what blows my mind is just how close the todoroki family was to witnessing yet another repeat of the tragedy--that they might have watched endeavor die while failing to save someone, just as endeavor had watched his own father do the same---and that they nearly had to bury touya a second time.
similarly, when it comes to the past transferring to the future, childhoods are the foundations upon which peoples's futures are built. characters are not only shown in a state of emotional vulnerability when in Baby Form, but are also responding to and trying to find answers to each others's traumas and core drives.
in a sense, they don't just inherit their worldviews from the prior generations, but from themselves. when we see endeavor confront his younger self, he isn't only killing off who he used to be, but also all the conclusions he had drawn from his own childhood--a rejection of what his trauma response got wrong. most people have to learn to stop being cruel to their inner child, whereas his inner child is the cruelest voice within.
anyway, for all the Bad Shit endeavor has passed on to the next generation, the future and hope he provides for hawks is something else. despite all white-knuckled efforts, he doesn't end up saving his family, nor himself, and certainly not touya, but he saves hawks, and that one instance contributes to the entire idea of ofa and the question of what different people can give to each other.
as invested as hawks is in the future, he initially keeps himself pretty distant when it comes to those younger than him. there isn't much explicitly given as to why, but it's pretty natural to assume that he really doesn't have the tools to pass on anything healthy--not after what he's been given by others. the one good thing he knows how to give is the one good thing he's received, which is the act of saving itself. being a pro is the only language he has for the longest time, and once his back's to the wall and he has to give tokoyami whatever he can, we see how readily he assumes that what he has to offer just isn't good enough.
(not only did his parents pass trauma onto him, but in valuing or devaluing his wings and thereby making his worth always conditional, they also affected what he could then pass on to others ((or at least, how he conceived of what he could give)).)
in my view, hawks gives tokoyami flight and endeavor support, and from tokoyami he receives the idea that he's someone worth looking up to and fighting beside despite his shortcomings, while from endeavor he not only got saved as a child but also receives a proof-of-concept of the ability to radically change, to wind up in a morally/emotionally better place than where one started. (he not only contrasts himself against shoto for the kid's ability to forgive/work with his parents, but notably contrasts himself against endeavor due to the latter's willingness to engage with his past, which he views as a vulnerability but also as something admirable.)
given keigo's middling age in the main cast of characters and the interesting space he occupies, it's fitting that he would ultimately act as a sort of channel between the generations of heroes as of the finale, retaining some of the value from what came previously while also helping guide what comes in the future.

BNHA Rewatch: Episode 46 “From Iida to Midoriya”
mysterylover123
In which I rant a lot about Iida and then instantly forgive him.
Mina trying to piece all this together is so cute.
Iida’s rage in this episode kinda tics me off, mostly because I feel like he misses the difference between what he did and what Todoroki and Kiri and Deku want to do. Iida went after Stain to get revenge, and Stain specifically chastised him for failing to try and rescue Native. What these three want to do is try and save a life, not take one. Yes, the law in BNHA’s verse doesn’t distinguish - but there is a difference. This makes it feel like Iida took the wrong lesson from the Hero-Killer arc - that what he did wrong was breaking the law, not getting caught up in revenge.
Yes, yes, that black and white mentality is fun and all, Tsu, but to quote a certain famous person, “An unjust law is no law at all”. And this situation just isn’t as black and white or straightforward as she makes it out to be. Both Iida and Tsu pissed me off in this scene a bunch, because they just don’t seem to get it. Of course, that could just be because I agree with Deku and back him in everything he does.
“You’re probably the most frustrated of all” WOW even Kirishima sees how in love with Kacchan Deku is.
OHNO MY BB IS SO WRECKED AND HURT CAUSE HE’S ALWAYS HURTING HIMSELF WITH HIS POWERS. Deku why you gotta make me sad like this?
And Kota’s letter omg it’s so sweet Kota ilu
Poor freaking Inko her life is so hard now and Deku is so hurting Aw this arc is so many feels.
Momo, of course, has the power in her hands to decide if she wants to enable this, and she chooses to do so.
Even against all that persuasion to the contrary, Deku still comes to help. I LOVE HIM.
Iida, this is the only time in the series that you really piss me off, and I ultimately forgive you, so I hope you wont’ take this personally, but...
FUCK YOU MAN. Seriously, Deku is half dead and devastated and hurting, and you’re hitting him like this only to assuage your own feelings and resentment? WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?
YOU’RE GIVING TODOROKI ENDEAVOR FLASHBACKS YOU JACKASS HOW DARE YOU!?!?! LOOK AT HOW SAD YOU’RE MAKING HIM BY HITTING HIS CRUSH!
OH BOO HOO HE DIDN’T THINK OF YOUR FEELINGS WELL TOUGH LUCK BUDDY HIS BOYFRIEND GOT FUCKING KIDNAPPED BY SUPERVILLAINS HE DOESN’T HAVE TIME TO CONSIDER MUCH ELSE!!!
OK Momo assuages my annoyance by saying “I trust Todoroki” and reminding me how much I ship them. AW! She comes along because she believes in him, even if she isn’t certain what they’re doing is right.
AVENGERS ASSEMBLE
Ooh Bakugo please remind me of how much I wanna see you saved again.
This is another awesome squad in the show. Like, this team + Kacchan is basically unstoppable.
ooh More Momo concern I love her so much and don’t kid yourself Momo deep down you wanna help save the day too cause you’re a goddamn hero.
Ooh this scene with Uraraka is really, really interesting. We get so little of her stance on this whole thing, but we do know that 1. In this scene she gets Bakugo pretty well, though she does ultimately turn out to be wrong, as he allows himself too be saved. 2. She doesn’t bring this up in front of Deku, which means this subject could provide conflict between them in the future.
Todoroki wisely stocks up on food before partaking in a long rescue exercise.
DEKU IS SO ADORABLE I LOVE HIM
AH THE HILARIOUS DISGUISES OMG. I’M CRACKING UP
The Todomomo vibes are strong with this one.
DAYUM Aizawa is always hot but all slicked up and presentable and defensive of his kids Aizawa is the best and hottest Aizawa of them all.
Nice visual storytelling here.
“Come join the dark side we have cookies!”
“Take your cookies and shove em!”
“Oh come on they’re chocolate chip!”
“I hate chocolate chip.”
OK, in all seriousness, I FREAKING LOVE THIS SCENE. Deku is my favorite, but Bakugou does run him a close second, and this scene helps illustrate why. He just told the most dangerous set of characters around that he doesn’t care what they think of him. He’s a goddamn hero and he’s never gonna accept anything else.
“From Iida to Midoriya” is actually a personal favorite of mine. I think it’s a little underrated, usually seen as the calm before the storm of the Hideout Raid arc, the setup. I personally see it as a strong highlight, with some great character interactions, development and growth to boot. It’s adorable all the way through and definitely worth a rewatch, as angry as parts of it make me.
BKDK CORNER:
Think about it. His arms will be useless if he hurts them again. His mom begs him not to. His best friends all told him not to. But none of that matters. Because Kacchan is in danger. And at the end of the day, to save Kacchan, Deku’s body will move before he can even think.
He does, however, change his approach to him a little thanks to Uraraka’s words. This episode builds up to the “take my hand” scene well, as Deku realizes that Kacchan’s pride would be offended by him offering to save him. The moment where he remembers “Don’t come” really hurts my heart.
BEST GIRL MVP AWARD: Still Momo. Tsuyu and Ochako forfeited the chance to be in this arc so they’re officially out of the running until the pLE arc begins.
RANKER: The Disguises, least to most favorite
5. Iida’s - what the hell was he thinking with that fake stache? (Sorry I’m so mean to you in this recap, Iida)
4. Momo’s - it’s ok enough, but she looks like a mob wife.
3. Kiri’s - it’s cute ,and I wish he’d wear his hair down more often.
2. Deku’s - OMG someone is missing his bf and trying to imitate him, huh?
1. Shoto’s - it’s just plain sexy. Boy’s got style.
#my hero academia#season 3 episode 8#from iida to midoriya#midoriya izuku#tenya iida#momo yaoyorozu#katsuki bakugou#katsudeku#bakudeku#i guess i have a double standard#iida hits deku I yell at him#kacchan hits deku i get mad for a few seconds#and then let it go#i guess cause deku punches him back#he just sits there and takes it from iida#but bakugou he smacks right back#omg i need my bkdk reunion soon#watching this day to day hurts

my life turned up side down when they left, our kids hate me, i lost my job my house, i was diagnosed with incurable disease my life is shit.
i sat in the waiting room chair processing what the doctor said i didn’t have much longer to live, I slowly walked the hospital and claimed into the car I don't have anyone to spend my last days with 'maybe I could try and mend my relationship with izou and rei' I decided to drive to my exs house to see me kids "hello" I knocked on the door my eyes widened as momo opened the door "hey momo is izou and rei here" I asked tilting my head to look past here "no now leave" she muttered "well can you at least tell them I was here" I murmur with pleading eyes "just so you can screw up their lives no thanks im their mother now they don't need a bitch like you" she muttered and slammed the door in my face my eyes brimmed with tears as I drove home I went inside and decided to skip dinner and go straight to bed only to be interrupted by a phone call "hello" "yn what the fuck" my eyes widened at izukus voice "izuku wh-" "why the fuck would you punch momo why would you even come to our house" he screamed into the phone "izuku-" "don't you dare say my name" he muttered "midoriya I came by to spend time with the kids this morning I found out I don't have much time left" I murmured "bullshit you probably came to steal and luckily momo was here" todoroki chimped in "guys I swea-" they ended the call, tears streamed down my face I could feel myself become weak by the second "they really did mean I didn't have alot or time left" I whispered smiling to myself at least I know I won't cause any grief I sat down leaning against the wall with the last energy I had left 'I guess this is goodbye' I looked at my phone screen it was a picture of me and my family smiling with my kids "I miss you guys" I whisper with my last breath and drifted off into death,
Izuku pov
I was fuming "we were so lucky momo was here" I nodded as me and shoto made our way to the bed room "you should've seen her face she was soo sad that I didn't let her see her children" we stopped and decided to listen to momo's conversation "she's gonna die alone, yea she only came because she was alerted that she has limited time left so I made it more hell for her I told the boys she punched me and now she will never see them or the brats in her last lonely bitchy days" she laughed loudly "you lied" I said revealing myself "what deku no I was just joking" she shout hanging up her phone "you only call him deku when your lieing" shoto muttered "momo when we get back you better be gone" I muttered coldly "izou, rei let's go" I called rushing them to the car "whats happening" rei asked buckling her seat belts"we're going to see yn" shota explained turning to them as I sped towards her house "why are we going to see her she just misses things up" izou mutters "no she doesn't" I slammed my fists against the steering wheel as I stopped at a red light "we missed things up" I admitted sadly "what" they asked confused "we made her life hell and made you guys hate her, we didn't want to lose you because we know she's a better parent" I cried it was true she's the best parent out there and the kids would always choose her so we made them hate her I cried and continued driving "why did you do this" izou muttered but we didn't answer him because we didn't have a reason we just did.
We hurried out as we made it to her house and knocked on the door which opened under the pressure we walked inside and cringed the place was a mess everything was covered in a thin layer of dust "yn we're here" I called but no answer "stay down here" I muttered and headed upstairs by myself I can't believe I did this to her I looked at the pictures she had on the walls it was all the family trips and photos we took "im so sorry yn" I whispered and smiled sadly at our wedding picture I turned down the hallway and stopped no it couldn't be "no" I screamed running to her "please please" I begged dropping to the ground "izuku what is wr-" shoto shouted running up the stairs but turned and covered the children's face as he saw the site 'we lost her and its all our fault'.

Hattress nods.
They soon all head over to the picnic area. Hattress and Volo clear a relatively plain area, then went a certain distance from each other.
Hattress smirked. “One on one, Volo?”
“You’re on, Wo… Hattress! Wow, that may take a little getting used to.” Volo chuckled.
He took out an old-style Pokeball. “PIkachu, show them what you’re made of!” He tosses the ball, and the yellow Pokemon emerges.
Hattress laughed. “Shoulda guessed you’d use my own tricks against me! Deku, you’re up!”
Deku bounced onto the battlefield. He was one of the only Lumios-only triple types… Ghost-Fighting-Fire. Problem? Electric still had an advantage.
Hattress had memorized all of Deku’s moves, however… and secretly taught him a few while helping everyone out. She also knew that there was a chance that this Pikachu had “Static”, an ability which meant a chance of paralysis if Deku made contact with Pikachu’s fur. Which mean…
“DEKU AGILITY!!!”
Deku zipped around the battlefield so fast, he disappeared. Volo was taken aback, looking around for any visual clues. The Hattress he knew was battle-heavy. He had to smirk, though. He said, “Someone’s growing up with her battle tactics! Pikachu, rain the area with Thunderbolt!!!”
Pikachu nodded and bounced up into the air… and Hattress yelled, “DEKU AIR CUTTER NOW!!!”
Deku shimmered back into existence, kicking the air so hard it caused a slice of wind. It ripped towards the Pikachu… and with no handholds, it couldn’t dodge. Pikachu yelped in shock, going bouncing hard against the ground. Volo gaped…
Hattress laughed. “You’re right, Volo, I have grown up in battle tactics… being on the battlefield myself has opened my eyes to a few new tricks!” Also, there were options and problems that weren’t inside the games, but she would leave that out of the conversation for now. He probably actually would understand, but now wasn’t the time.
Pikachu got up, shaking itself out. If there had been an HP bar, everyone would be hearing the annoying red-zone beeping. Volo said, “Time for a taste of your own medicine! Pikachu, QUICK ATTACK!”
Hattress laughed as Pikachu attempted… and went right through Deku. “Deku’s a Ghost Type, Volo! Normal-type attacks have no effect! Deku, finish the battle with Arm Thrust!”
Deku nodded, zipping up to the confused Pikachu. Arm Thrust for him looked like punches… and it only took one to knock the PIkachu out.
Volo said, “Oh my…”
Hattress said, “YAY I WIN!!!”
The Pikachu was sturdy, and only out for a minute. It got up, shook its head in a dizzy manner, then wandered back to Volo. Volo chuckles and picked up the Pokemon. “Not bad… yeesh, I thought Hattress would actually be at a weakness, but I underestimated her again!” He laughed.
Hattress looked at the crowd. “All right, people, any questions?”
Pokémon: Light & Dark
@still-a-jedi
Warriors from another world… please save us from the darkness.
Hattress groaned as she came to. That new monster, the Screamer, had been hard to calm down. She had needed that nap, but…
Why was she rocking?!?
She jumped up, looking around. She, Dabs, and a toddler Miracle were on a boat. Her family was still out, as well as…
“Obi-Wan! Anakin! Qui-Gon!”

Irrevocable
Part 1 of 3
1. Irrevocable 2. Futile 3. Reignite
Irrevocable: fixed, unchangeable
Bakugo x gn!reader
Warnings: angst, swearing, fighting (with words not physically), toxic-ish relationship, yelling
❀ Masterlist ❀
Bakugo grunted at you before walking back to his seat, angrily plotting his legs on the desk. Although Iida was yelling at him to not do so, it seemed like the voice was silenced by his thoughts and feelings.
It’s not the first time the two of you got into an argument, but it’s definitely the first time it got so serious that the whole class (other than Iida) didn’t even dare to go near Bakugo.
Aizawa sensei (im sry i like the Japanese way) walked into the classroom, surprised that the usually chaotic class is practically silent. He shrugged it off and proceeded to start the lesson. You nervously took some notes, hands sweating and shaking. Sure, everyone has been ‘scared’ of Bakugo before, but never actually “scared” of him like 1-A is right now.
When class ended, Mina pulled you to a corner.
“What happened between you and Bakugo? It’s so intense that even Mineta was sitting in his seat instead of bothering someone!”
She whispered, pink fingers tightly gripping on your shirt in fear.
“It’s nothing, just some misunderstanding and his bad temper is all.”
“You sure? Be sure to tell me if you need help!”
You nodded before heading to apologize to Bakugo even though it’s clearly his fault. Not like that guy will apologize first.
.
“Y/n, Bakubro is angry about something again and looks like he’s gonna bite someone, what happened?”
Kirishima asked, panting as if he was running for his life (which he was due to a certain angry Pomeranian)
“Well, first I was just chatting with Todoroki since he’s my friend after all, but Katsuki seemed to be in a bad mood today and things escalated so quickly I don’t even know what exactly happened.”
You sighed, palms covering your face in frustration, before adding,
“I’m sorry Kiri, he’s just really unpredictable sometimes.”
“Don’t apologize, Bakubro do be like that sometimes, it’s not your fault!”
He gave you a pat on the back before rejoining the rest of Bakusquad. Ah shit, you thought, here we go again.
“Y/n! Where are you going? You wanna play Uno with us?”
Kaminari said, holding up a deck of Uno.
“Sorry guys, gotta talk to Katsuki for a sec!”
“Why? It’s not your fault he’s pissed off.”
A voice joined.
“Todoroki, it’s my fault for not respecting his boundaries.”
“Well, it’s his fault for being so selfish and not respecting your freedom.”
Todoroki said with an eyebrow raised.
“Well, still, I gotta apologize to him for pissing him off when he obviously isn’t having a great day.”
“No. He’s not respecting you. Can’t you see? He’s been making all these mistakes and causing these unnecessary arguments but you’re the one apologizing. Shouldn’t he be the one apologizing?”
Your sweat dropped onto the floor, louder than the silence roaring in the classroom.
“Y/n, he’s right. Bakugo had been quite nasty and as your friend I don’t think he’s it for you.”
Sero added. Wait.
“What do you mean ‘he’s not it for me’?”
You couldn’t believe.
“This is quite obvious and you know it, as much as I love Bakubro, he fucked up real bad.”
You didn’t want to believe.
“For your own sake, please, Y/n, end this toxic relationship.”
You had to believe.
.
Little did all of you know, Bakugo had been listening the whole time. He stood outside the door, leaning against the wall as he clutched his fists and even lighting some small explosions.
He had been waiting for you to come to him and apologize even though he knew deep down in his heart that he should be the one apologizing to you, to your classmates, to himself. However, his damn pride got in the way and he couldn’t put himself in the lower position. Apologize? How dumb!
Bakugo scoffed, ready to head to the bathroom and maybe punch Deku, before he heard something heart-breaking.
“Yea, I guess you guys are right.”
His blood froze. Did you? Not you didn’t. He was hallucinating. Yes, he heard it wrong. There is no way you’d be doing that to him, right? Right?
A small poke on his shoulder pulled him back to real life, before he could blow up whoever that person is, his heart stopped when he heard your angelic voice in such a lifeless tone.
“Katsuki, we have to talk.”
He tried to shrug it off.
“Katsuki. This is serious.”
He couldn’t.
“This isn’t working. Please, at least look at me!”
He turned to you, instantly swelling at the tears prickling in your eyes.
“I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to hurt you. You deserve so much more, I’m sorry that-“
“NO YOU FUCKING AREN’T!”
The hallway silenced, a few heads whipping towards the two of you. On normal cases, he would be proud of you for swearing, but right now, he felt an emotion he never thought you, actually anyone, would be expressing towards him. Anger.
“You always just leave! You just rage! You never let me explain!”
You yelled, streams after streams of tears escaping your blurry vision of the shocked boy.
“You’re not sorry! You just give a half-assed answer and expect me to take that! ‘Oh I’m so sorry Katsuki I didn’t mean to do that’ well no shit I did NOTHING wrong! You always let your anger get before you and expect me to fucking APOLOGIZE to you! I’m so done with you, and you can take your damn pride with you because I’m having NONE of it!”
You finished, pushing his wistful arms away.
“Look, I know-“
“OH OF COURSE YOU DO. OF COURSE YOU KNOW HOW IT’S LIKE TO FEEL MISERABLE BECAUSE OF THE ONE YOU LOVE. OF COURSE YOU GET THE FEELING OF BEING REJECTED BY THE ONE YOU CARE FOR. OF COURSE YOU UNDERSTAND THE FEELING OF APOLOGIZING FOR NOTHING!”
You panted, cooling off for a second.
“We’re done.”
He tried reaching for you, but failed.
He watched as your broken figure left. He lost you, too.
And maybe that’s the end.
The squad’s happy.
You’re happy.
Who cares if he’s happy? It’s irrevocable.
Author’s notes: I did not intend to make Y/n this furious but oh well. Yes there will be sequel it’s just that it’s gonna take a day or two because school will be starting soon

talking stage | bnha main three
pairing : todoroki x gn!reader, bakugo x gn!reader, deku x gn!reader
note : i cant differentiate between the talking stage and actual dating and i have no idea how long the talking stage should last so im relying on google
art credits: ひまおこ on medibang
what the talking stage is like with the boys
you would be the one initiating stuff the whole time. its not because he’s not interested in you, he very much is actually, he just doesn’t know what to do.
after maybe a week or two, he would start getting more comfortable and starting making a move.
his main source of information is google, sometimes fuyumi. this means his actions are more generic i guess? its like they’re rehearsed.
but he’s trying his best !! he genuinely wants to date you !!
the whole cluelessness thing would’ve been a turn off with other people, but not with him. it just makes him so much cuter <3
i think his favorite place to go to with you is the museum? i can see him wearing those cute fits, carrying a camera nd taking photos of you :D
DJHJSJS IMAGINIGN THIS MAKES MY HEART GO SJSDS I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
and he would totally help you with school work !! if you’re lazy, he’ll write notes just to share them with you. and if you struggle with homework or training, he’s always ready to help <3
the talking stage with todoroki would last for around a month.
i actually feel like he would be the one initiating stuff most of the time !
he would totally make you food like once or twice a week, usually lunch. he would even buy a cute lunchbox for you <3
you once joked that he should make them cuter and more colorful like this
“hah?! what are you, a fucking toddler?”
but the next day, he gave you a bento with hello kitty rice balls and octopus-shaped sausages.
HE EVEN GAVE THE SAUSAGES FACES USING KETCHUP
“im only doing this so you would stop whining!” he says this with a huge blush on his face while scowling
of course, you decide to not bring up the fact that you caught him practicing how to shape the rice balls at like one in the morning
also the type to help you study and train !! though he would sometimes lose his patience, he makes sure not to blow up on you
he’s also very attentive, always making sure you’re alright during training. he sees you looking thirsty?? he’ll give you his water bottle right away!
would walk with you to school and back to the dorms everyday
the talking stage would probably last for like one to two weeks because he’s way too good at making you fall for him
a whole mess ! you better be experienced cause he would always be so shy and flustered around you and it’ll be a mess if you were shy too
but he tries his best !! probably the sweetest one among the three
he’s always so nervous tho T_T like bro calm down no one’s gonna eat you
would ask his mom for advice
once gave you a bouquet for valentines and it was so awkward skjdhs he was just standing there frozen while the class stared at the both of you
you punched bakugo in the face after he laughed at him <3 poor boy’s just trying his best :(
like todoroki, he would take notes for you during class. he wouldn’t miss a single information, so you always get high marks in exams because his notes are so detailed!
i feel like he would totally enjoy picnic dates, he’ll even try to cook some of your favorite dishes ! and after that, maybe a walk in the park while you guys talk about random stuff <3
also very attentive i feel like all three of them are so he never misses important stuff like your birthday, favorite food, etc

The Fall of Red Riot
Warning! This is a tickle fic!
Ships: KiriBaku
The breakdown: Lee!Kirishima, Ler!Bakugo and Ler!Kaminari
Warnings: tickling, swearing, fluff overload
Prompt: The 1-A boys are hanging in the classroom during lunch and they’re stumped. They could not get Kirishima to spill his biggest secret: his crush. Bakugo rolls his eyes and volunteers his methods...
“There’s gotta be some way!” Kaminari whined.
“No way! I’m never telling any of you!” Kirishima barked in response.
“Tch, we’ll get it out of you at some point, shitty hair.” Bakugo noted coolly.
“OYE DON’T CALL ME THAT!” Kirishima yelled.
The boys groaned as they all ate their lunches. It was just them and Aizawa, who naturally was asleep, all alone in the classroom.
Kirishima was in a really fuckin’ bad place; he was being pestered by his friends. They all wanted to know who his secret crush was. Luckily, due to his quirk, the boy could withstand anything.
“There isn’t anything?” Midoriya questioned, “not even one thing?”
“Punch me, kick me, swirly, wet willie, draw on me, whatever you want. I’m not talkin’.” Kirishima answered bravely.
Bakugo let out a scoff as he rolled his eyes. “You’re all idiots”
“Well I don’t see you offering any ideas, Kacchan!” Deku grew defensive.
“Literally you’re all fucking stupid.” Bakugo was getting agitated; are they all really this dense?
Deku and Bakugo glared daggers at each other before Bakugo squeezed Deku’s sides.
The smaller boy yelped and leaped at least a foot in the air.
The blonde scoffed, rolled his eyes, then finally spoke up, “there’s your method. Try it out, I’m sure it’ll work.”
Kirishima, who had not been paying attention, turned toward Bakugo, “What method? What do you mean Bakubro?”
“Well now that you’ve got him wondering, I think that you should do the honors.” Kaminari chimed.
Deku grinned menacingly while Bakugo tackled Kirishima and straddled him.
“W-woah there! What gives, Bakugo?” Kirishima grew anxious, what the hell was this guy’s deal?
“Last chance to talk, shitty hair.” The blonde was smiling evilly, a side Kirishima had never seen before.
Red Riot sucked in a breath.
“Do your worst!” Kirishima cried preparing for inevitable pain, “what man can’t take a little pain?”
“Wh-Pain?” Deku asked with furrowed brows, “no-no! You got it all wrong. Kacchan is just going to exploit your body’s sensitivity is all.”
“Ohh!” Kirishima beamed. Then the realization struck, “oh”
Bakugo rolled his eyes. “Way to go shitty Deku, now he knows the plan!”
Nonetheless, the Katuski clawed his hand and started to lower it down to an already giggling Kirishima’s tummy.
The red haired boy used his summer camp training: act quick in heavy pressure situations.
The hero in training hardened his skin, adding an extra layer to his abdomen, causing Bakugo to groan.
“Seriously? Your shitty quirk!” Bakugo rolled his eyes, “well I can wait here all day. And when the girls come back, you get to say which one you like in front of her.”
“HAVE YOU NO MERCY?” Kirishima roared.
The sudden loud noise awoke Aizawa. He was not a happy camper when he was woken up, especially from a good nap like this.
“You know what Bakubro! I’ll be fine holding out! I can keep my skin hard as long as I wish!” Kirishima yelled cockily.
Oh this will be good.
Aizawa stood up and stealthily stood next to Midoriya. He put a finger to his lip and winked at the greenette.
“How can you interrogate me with no method? You really didn’t think this through Bakubro.” Kirishima was getting cockier by the minute, “can’t tickle someone with no soft skin!”
Aizawa grinned.
Midoriya clapped a hand over his mouth to keep from spoiling another surprise.
As Aizawa’s hair stood up in an instant, Kirishima’s rock hard abdomen disappeared into a soft, pudgy, tummy.
“YES!” Bakugo cried
“M-MISTER AIZAWA!” Kirishima whined.
“You’re the one who woke me up. Just thought I’d keep my quirk alert Incase if any villains attack.” Aizawa responded in a monotone.
Bakugo didn’t hesitate. He immediately started scribbling his fingers along Kirishima’s sides.
The red haired boy kept his composure, biting his lip hard enough to draw blood.
“Oh? Nothing’s working huh.” Bakugo lifted his attack, “I guess we’ll just have to stop then.”
“Man you really suck at th- EEP!” Kirishima squeaked as Bakugo raised his arm above his head and poked the hollow of his arm.
It all happened so fast, Kirishima couldn’t even attempt to hold in his laughter.
“waihihihihit. Bahahahahakuhuhuhgohohoho!” Kirishima’s bubbly giggles melted Midoriya’s heart. Normally, Red Riot would be rolling all over laughing, but the uniform definitely helped minimize the feeling.
“You ready for talk yet?” Bakugo asked with a cocked grin.
“Nehehehehehever! Ihihihihihihihi cahahahan lahahahahast!” Kirishima manages through his uncontrollable giggling.
“Midoriya I might need some eye drops. This could take a while.” Aizawa muttered.
Deku chuckled and grabbed drops from Aizawa’s desk.
“You’re getting boring shitty hair. I’ll find your death spot and you’ll never stand a chance.”
“Jokes on you! You can’t even access it!” Kirishima spoke without thinking.
“Oh? Why is that? Is it blocked by me or clothes?” Bakugo cooed as he started to untuck Kirishima’s uniform shirt.
“Waihihihihit Bakubrohohohoho!” Kirishima giggled uncontrollably before any contact was made with his hyper-ticklish skin.
“What happened to being unbreakable? Where’s the great Red Riot now?” Bakugo teased as he prepares an assault, “I wonder if you share your worst spot with the shitty Deku.”
Deku yelped with wide eyes as attention turned to him. He could kill Kacchan.
“W-where’s his death spot?” Kirishima asked, followed by a gulp.
“Nowhere special. Just-“ Bakugo drilled his thumbs into Kirishima’s hips, “here.”
“BAHAHAHAHAHAKUHUHUHGOHOHOHOHO!” Kirishima cried out.
“Ohh maybe you do have the same death spot as Deku!” Bakugo teased confidently.
Kirishima’s bright belly laughter filled the room. All of the other boys gathered ‘round to see what was going down.
“Bakugo, you do know you just exposed Deku right?” Kaminari questioned with amusement.
“And I care because? I’m the only one who knows how to get him howling anyways.” Bakugo replied cockily.
A loud yelp was emitted from Deku’s side of the room after Aizawa took a squeeze at both of the boy’s hips.
“Well he’s not lying.” Aizawa said calmly.
“Come make yourself useful, Pikachu. Hold his arms up.” Bakugo commanded.
Kaminari obliged and soon Kirishima was under Bakugo’s mercy, meaning there would be none.
“Tell us Shitty Hair!” Bakugo spoke louder as he removed a hand from one of Red Riot’s hip, and added a scribbling hand to one of his underarms.
“NNGH- NEHEHEHEVEHEHEHEHER!” Kirishima cried.
The boys of class 1-A all shared the same look: fearful amusement. They now knew to never mess with Bakugo, especially after today.
Bakugo lifted his attack fully. “Alright Kirishima, you leave me no choice.”
Kirishima gulped nervously.
“Either you tell me your death spot, or I embarrass the hell out of you right now.” Bakugo said menacingly.
“Y-you. Fiend. You’ll get nothin’ outta me.” Kirishima barked in rebuttal.
“Suit yourself.” Bakugo said calmly, “Pikachu.”
Kaminari drew his attention to Bakugo. While this happened, Aizawa realized that Kirishima was too weak to use his quirk, so he retreated back to his sleeping bag.
“You might wanna sit on those arms, things are gonna get ugly.”
As Kaminari obliged, Bakugo began to pinch at the pudge right above Kirishima’s bikini line. This caused the hard-rock hero’s laughter to jump up an octave.
“Found it~” Bakugo purred in a low voice.
“BAHAHAHA! BAHAHAHAHAHAKUHUHUHUHUHUGOHOHOHOHOHO! MEHEHEHEHEHEHRCHYHEHEHEHE!” Kirishima tried to writhe from under the blonde’s evil clutches.
“Then tell us!” Bakugo demanded angrily.
“NOHOHOHOHOHO!” Kirishima whined in response.
“Then die.”
Bakugo’s evil smirk was all that Kirishima saw before his eyes squeezed shut and he was a screaming, blushing mess.
The blonde continued to squeeze the boy’s worst spot. But, he also demanded Kaminari to spider his fingers under Red Riot’s arms. And to top it all off, Bakugo started blowing fat raspberries on Kirishima’s abs.
Red Riot moved into quiet hysterics, unable to bear the tickly feeling.
“Maybe you should stop soon.” Tokoyami butted in, “He doesn’t look too good.”
“Shut up bird brain! He’s done when he confesses!” Bakugo barked back.
Kirishima was trying his best to get out of his friend’s clutches, he was even squeezing Kaminari’s butt with his free hands. But, It had no effect on the electric boy.
“BAHAHAHAKUGOHOHOHO, KAHAHAHAHAMINAHAHAHAHRIHIHIHI STAHAHAHAPPIT! Q-QUIHIHIHIHIHIT IHIHIHIHIT! I CAHAHAHAHANT TAHAHAHAHAKE IHIHIHIHT!” Kirishima squealed as tears leaked from his eyes.
“Last chance to tell us before we get you to exhaustion!” It was Kaminari’s turn to interrogate now.
“OKAY- OKAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAY IHIHIHIHILL TEHEHEHEHELL!” Kirishima cried.
The attack ceased, leaving Kirishima panting. After a few seconds of greedily gulping in air, Red Riot looked at his attackers, then his classmates. He had no dignity left, so why should he lie?
“It’s um... it’s...” shit. He needed to come up with a name quick, “it’s Mina.”
“You liar.” Kaminari said as he skittered his fingers once again.
“IHIHIHIM NOHOHOHOT LYIHIHIHIHING!” Kirishima cried.
“That’s enough Pikachu. He knows to tell us the truth.” Bakugo unstraddled Kirishima, Kaminari did the same. The blonde reached a hand out and helped Red Riot to his feet.
His classmates surrounded him in a circle, there was nowhere to run.
“Ah jeez. This is gonna be embarrassing.” Kirishima spoke softly.
“Just say it!” Kaminari commanded.
“It’s Ururaka!” Kirishima yelped.
“No! You’re still lying! I know when you lie because your quirk activates on only your hands!” Bakugo yelled.
“Mister Aizawa! The one time I needed you to erase my quirk!” Kirishima groaned bashfully.
“Just tell us dude we won’t judge you.” Kaminari said with a reassuring hand on Red Riot’s shoulder.
Kirishima looked at all of his classmates curious faces. What if they judged him? What if they didn’t want to be his friend anymore because of who he liked?
“W..well.. um...” Kirishima closed his eyes and sighed, “it’s.. its B-Bakugo.”
Bakugo’s eyes widened along with all the other boys.
“I.. I shouldn’t have said that...” Kirishima said before running out of the room.
“Kirishima! Stop!” Bakugo yelled.
The blonde went chasing after Red Riot, leaving the rest of the class dazed.
“What did I miss?” Aizawa asked with a yawn. He saw all of his confused students, “Jesus was it Mt. Lady or something?”
“N-no... Kacchan” Deku spoke quietly.
“Oh that was obvious.” Aizawa said with an amused breath of air. “Now I owe All-Might 200 Yen.”

BnHA Chapter 304: The Council of OFA
Previously on BnHA: Hawks and Best Jeanist were all, “what up Todofam, we are here to apply for the positions of ‘son #4’ and ‘weird uncle’, respectively,” and then proceeded to insert themselves into the family drama without waiting for an answer. Hawks briefed Endeavor on the nation’s current status of “totally fucked”, promised to help him sort that out, and then asked him about OFA. Endeavor was all, “oh do you mean One For All, the mysterious thing that my intern Deku was apparently being targeted for?” and then we cut away, presumably before Endeavor could clarify that it never occurred to him to follow up on that, and Hawks was all “no of course not, why would it occur to anyone other than me to follow up on any of this super weird and ominously important shit.” Anyway so meanwhile Bakugou was all “LET ME SCREAM AT DEKU UNTIL HE WAKES UP” and the other kids were all “NO”, and then the chapter ended with All Might being all “I wonder what the vestige!me is currently chatting with Deku about.”
Today on BnHA: Deku drops in on the Vestiges, who are all “sup Deku, how do you like our fancy chairs.” OFA II and III are all “if you need us we’ll just be standing here silently in the corner pretending to be invisible and sparking endless discourse with our mere existence.” OFA IV is all “and now I will explain to you in a very convoluted way that you being quirkless was actually a good thing, since it means that you are probably not going to suddenly drop dead at the age of twenty. But also you’re probably going to be the last user of OFA for that very same reason.” Deku is all “that is wild. I’m just gonna stand here and stare at my hand.” Nana is all “so now that that’s settled could you please do me a small favor and kill my grandson for me”, because having just one topic to discourse about this week WASN’T ENOUGH, apparently. Thanks so much Horikoshi.
(ETA: okay so just a note before I start, this week’s RHA translation was a huge mess, so I followed up this chapter by reading a couple of other translations. the main one I’m using for reference is the one by @hanashimas, whose weekly posts I highly recommend. anyway so you’ll see a couple of ETAs in this post in places where the initial translation was off.)
how many layers of bandages did they wrap this poor kid’s fucking hand in omg
jesus Deku. are you holding onto a bouquet of flowers under that thing?? or a tennis racket??
omg yes, finally
is he reading these names off a teleprompter lol. and if so, what has Jeanist ever done to slight you, Deku? “god bless Kacchan and Aizawa-sensei and Todoroki-kun and everyone else in the whole wide world... except for Best Jeanist. fuck that guy.” actually this joke would be funnier if half of tumblr didn’t legit feel that way lol but anyway
OH MY GOD
I NEED TO HAVE A TALK TOO. ABOUT, OH, EVERYTHING
I got immediate KHR vibes from ALL OF THIS. this is seriously such a Vongola aesthetic. “let’s use the luxuriously cushioned chairs with the seat backs that are ten feet high, and arrange all of the handsome ghost people in a big circle” like come on
that said there are also some slight LoTR vibes as well. “bring forth the ring, Deku”
I like how Six is sitting there with his feet drawn up all casual, but with his arms inexplicably sticking STRAIGHT OUT IN FRONT OF HIM and dangling over his knees like he’s doing some sort of zombie walk
apparently the Fourth wasn’t a big fan of shoes huh
interesting that All Might is the only one who’s still faint/indistinct, and and that Two and Three are fully visible
(ETA: the rest of my speculation about Two and Three has been moved into a separate post, the better to focus on the shit that’s actually happening in this chapter lol.)
and lastly, interesting that all of them are talking now, except for All Might (and I guess the Second and Third as well). to the best of my knowledge Deku hasn’t unlocked the Sixth’s quirk yet, so I guess the quirks don’t really have anything to do with it
oh and it looks like Deku’s mouth is still covered. I guess that’s convenient for the vestiges since we all know it’s hard to stop Deku once he gets going. but on the other hand it’s very inconvenient for people like me who wanted to see some interaction. alas
so First says that OFA’s power has grown a lot in the last four months (i.e. since Deku unlocked Blackwhip), and now the vestiges can communicate with each other as well as Deku
so even when Deku’s not around they can all just chill with each other. this is such a weird thing to me lol. like it’s cool, don’t get me wrong, but it’s also strange as hell to know that you’ve got eight other people hanging out in your head spying on everything you do and having conversations with each other about it. it would be like if Dark Shadow had someone to hang out with other than Tokoyami. good thing you weren’t triplets, Tokoyami
First says that it’s become easier for the vestiges to interact with Deku ever since TomurAFO barged into the OFA Domain back at Jakku. huh
(ETA: apparently this is because AFO forcibly pulled out OFA’s power when he was trying to steal the quirk, so I guess that makes sense.)
okay thank you Banjou for addressing this concern which I initially brought up as a joke, but which was apparently real enough for you to reassure Deku about
“don’t worry, even though we’re awake and hanging out inside of you at all times, we’re definitely not secretly watching and making fun of every single thing you do” hmmmmm
(ETA: “not that you could do anything about it even if we were, since you’re probably going to be the last OFA holder ever!” I don’t trust anything this asshole says lmao.)
OH SHIT??
YESSS DEKU now you can hold them accountable for all of their bullshit! because I do not doubt that there will be bullshit lol but let’s see how that goes
oh damn
well okay then. you didn’t have to stand up and walk over to him and loom all threateningly like that but okay sir
this guy has kind of a Kimimaro vibe to him. remember? that bone-growing guy from Naruto? except I’m pretty sure he had eyebrows. and wasn’t twenty feet tall. speaking of which, that explains the chairs
why are you wearing only 3/5ths of a shirt
lol what
someone’s gonna have to explain this to me. is he just redundant or something lol, or is he strangely poetical or what
(ETA: apparently HE’S MAKING A PUN omg. I immediately gained +10 love for him lol. also it flows a lot better in Japanese. this is one of the things Caleb is usually good at, so we’ll see what he does with the wordplay.)
omg the hermit theory is true!!
“I’M NOT WEIRD, IT’S SOCIETY WHICH IS WEIRD.” lol whatever you say buddy. also love how Banjou tried to give him a big hearty slap on the back but Hermit Boy was not having it lmao
IS HE TRYING TO CAPTURE HIM WITH BLACKWHIP
AND ACTUALLY, NO, SIR, AS A MATTER OF FACT, WE ARE NOT AWARE. SO SPILL!!
?!!?
okay my first response was LOL ARE YOU SERIOUS, THAT’S THE BIG SECRET!? -- and then it hit me what the significance of “died from old age... AT AGE FORTY” meant. at which point it was like “!!!!!” and then “OH, SHIT”
(ETA: there’s also an Iida joke here somewhere but I’m just too tired to make it.)
oh my god oh my god
did he somehow get a copy of the coroner’s report or something? like how does he even know that he died from “old age” as opposed to any number of other natural causes? ??
but anyway. so this is the quirk singularity coming into play then I guess. but then how come All Might is still alive and ticking?
(ETA: so this is one example of where this week’s translation is a mess lol. apparently the Fourth explains here that he didn’t know what the fuck he died from until All Might researched it. and it turns out there actually was an autopsy lol so there you go.)
so Fourth says he held OFA for eighteen years, and since he knew he would never be strong enough to defeat AFO on his own he basically just spent all his time punching rocks in the woods and training to power the quirk up
oh shit
is he implying that his body literally fell apart?? like that’s how he got the scars on his face? -- IS THAT WHAT KEEPS HAPPENING TO TOMURA, THEN. oh shit
DUDE
so you’re telling me that this quirk actively shortens the lifespan of anyone who uses it?? and my little boy here has had it now for a year already?? fuck me, I have immediately have a TON of thoughts about all this but let me save it until he’s done with his explanation
THANK YOU, DEKU
right?? how come All Might didn’t die then. even after he got injured. please don’t tell me he actually is dying still and is just being slow about it because I SWEAR TO GOD
what does this mean??
so what you’re trying to say is you all have NO FUCKING IDEA how long Deku’s gonna be able to hold this quirk before he SUDDENLY DROPS DEAD?! five generations ago this dude was able to hold it for eighteen years, and then four generations later All Might was able to hold it for thirty-odd years or so, and now Deku has it and you all have no clue which way it’s gonna go? actually this makes it sound like it really wasn’t OFA that killed the Fourth at all and you guys are just really bad at forming hypotheses. but since you’re making a big plot point out of it I guess it must be true
and don’t think I didn’t notice the part where you said you didn’t have OFA very long and then “died while fighting”, Firsto. I want to hear more about that. specifically who you passed the quirk onto before your death
and yes, if we are agreeing that OFA was the cause of the Fourth’s death, then the conclusion on this next page is the natural one to draw
so that’s a bit of a relief then, because Deku is quirkless too. so it means he won’t be able to hold OFA forever (and will probably have to find another quirkless person to pass it on to), but at least he won’t be randomly dying out of the blue next Tuesday or something
oh my god now he’s talking about OFA and AFO and user consciousnesses and all sorts of good theory stuff but it’s so much exposition. you’re really gonna make me read all this lol
wait what. why would All Might being quirkless have anything to do with the presence of his vestige in OFA Outer Space Party Land
but Deku is also quirkless and he’s clearly visible and chatting with you guys. so what gives. like how much of this is verified fact and how much of it is you guys just shrugging and making stuff up lol
SERIOUSLY, GUYS
BUT DEKU IS ALSO -- you know what, never mind sob. none of this shit makes any sense but whatever
(ETA: seriously, this all seems like an awful lot of speculation on their part. for Deku’s sake I sure hope they’re right.)
FSSKDJFLSKLKJLKJL ALL MIGHT IS FIFTY-FIVE?!
lol that’s a full ten years past my closest estimate, wow. but this pretty much confirms his age now at last! or at least confirms it within a couple of years, because we know All Might and Nana met when he was in middle school, and he presumably had the quirk by the time he took the U.A. entrance exam. so yeah. gonna go with fifty-five
so they think that because All Might was quirkless, OFA was better able to adapt to his body and became his true quirk, as opposed to being an extra quirk that stacked on top of the one he already had and overwhelmed him. ties in back to the whole “AFO used to bend people to his will by forcing quirks on them” thing, as well as the “Noumus are all mindless because of the strain of having multiple quirks”
Two and Three are really ruining the serious vibe of this scene here lol
they look like they’re doing the counting for hide and seek
and is this Deku talking now? I was about to get mad at First for implying that quirkless people are somehow freaks, as opposed to “normal” people jdslk
so in other words, don’t go giving it to your best friend all casually for shits and giggles, Deku. even if it would make a really cool climax for a movie. well shit. maybe that’s why they were so quick to nope back into Deku’s body afterward
so First says that because quirkless people are becoming rarer and rarer, the fact that All Might just happened to stumble upon Deku is “nothing short of a miracle.” which, yeah, that was definitely a stroke of luck there. being quirkless saved his life. but being quirkless is also part of why he was chosen in the first place, and we’ve always known that much
“in other words, kiddo...”
looks like there was some hurried clone stamp usage going on here lol. but props to RHA as always for putting this scan out so fast, especially given how exposition-heavy this week’s chapter has been
“anyways, that was the main topic” ARE YOU SERIOUS. there are like ten other topics imma need you all to get to here, people
(ETA: seems like this is a mistranslation; the line should actually read something more along the lines of “and now for the main topic.”)
FFFFFFFFF
“ENJOY YOUR CLIFFHANGER THIS WEEK.” dskfalkjlkjwlgkjl you really went and dumped this discourse on us yet again. fucking...
(ETA: forgot to mention, but as several people mentioned, this seems to be another mistranslation -- rather than asking Deku to kill Tomura as though it’s doing her a personal favor, Nana is asking “will you be able to do it.” in other words more of an “are you capable of doing it” type of thing. which is a very reasonable question to ask given that Deku is, well, Deku.)
anyways, and the answer is obviously going to be “no” of course. this isn’t going to end any differently than when the previous Avatars all told Aang to kill Ozai. but I guess it means we’re in for a fun conversation next week
so Nana looks pretty grim here though (nothing at all like the person who once taught All Might the importance of saving people with a smile), and I’m wondering if this means she believes that her grandson is already beyond saving. as in killing him would be a mercy, as opposed to him continuing to live with AFO bending his mind and body to his will. except if that is the case, I think she’s underestimating Tomura’s own will. and definitely underestimating Deku’s will to save
and also, just... I’m so fucking sick of AFO screwing the Shimura family over, honestly. this is exactly what he wanted. well fuck you, guy. you don’t get to have what you want. go out there and save Tomura, Deku. for his sake and for Nana’s. give them some hope. do your thing, boy. can’t wait for your big speech all about it next chapter lol

Mask and Wind being in Hyrule Warriors
So like everybody has already acknowledged that Mask (Time) was in HW and helped with the war and such but here's the thing
Wind ALSO.
Witness:
Toon link, right there, in all of his glory. AKA WIND. Why does NOBODY mention this????
(I feel like people ignore Wind's adventures way too much. It's starting to really frustrate me *sad face*. Like, first of all lets remember he stabbed someone straight through the face when he was Twelve, also he shares Windfish with Legend, can see ghosts -I have seen that one a lot more recently- , IS A FRiggen Pirate, and fought a war. Can- can we not just wave him off as a childish traumatized 6yo or a stupid 12yo boy? I personally see him as the most terrifying member of the chain. Just like, I love him so much, but sometimes he scares me.
...
I got off topic.)
So in HW Toon Links Bio is: "With portals opened to other dimensions, another Link slipped through – the legendary Hero of Winds from the Era of the Great Sea. While trying to save his kidnapped sister, he challenged the ruler of evil. Helped by a red boat and a pirate crew, and controlling the wind, he traveled far and wide across the Great Sea. Quick on his feet and light in the air, Toon Link excels at speedy combos with his short sword and trusty Deku Leaf. He may be small, but he packs a punch!"
Even more proof right there, that he is actually wind and not another toon (like Leg or smthn).
I was talking with my sibling about this a couple days ago, and they actually had no idea Wind was there so I'm guessing that's how it is for all'yall. But while we were discussing, I started thinking about the rest of the chain and such. And how I makes no sense that Wars and Time wouldn't recognize him when they were such prominent parts of the war.
So, if you've ever played HW you know that you have to fight characters to be able to play them. That means the first time they (Mask and Wind) met Wars, it would be by fighting him.
(Brain thinks more angst when wars has to fight this kid and thinks it's probably the kid of a traitor he killed. But then like, very quickly realizes it's not bc they actually know how to Fight.)
But Like Think. Why would they fight first thing when they get there??? I would say like they're just freaked out but considering there's literally no other option to get the character, my brain goes to that idea that all the earned characters, upon first arriving in HW were possessed and compelled to attack all Hylians and their side alike. That makes even more sense to me because Why would Cia (the one who made the portals) bring in more warriors for the opposite side?
So how it went for Mask I think, is that he and Wars fought, and when Mask was defeated he was offered to help with the war (like all the other characters did). Wars and Mask are seriously heavy hitters (like if you've Ever Seen Wars Fight Like WOw), so they are both put on the front lines I say Mask is a heavy hitter not only because he's amazing with that friggen sword of his, but also because he has the Fierce Diety.
(Speaking of FD, I can't help but think of what would cause Mask to get so low that he would use FD so often. Brain thinking goes to Mask fighting in the war, hope is fading, he's near death, and a s a last resort uses it. That's the first time there. But afterwards he realizes how useful he can be as FD, and while he doesn't want to do anything anymore because he's burned out and probably high-key suicidal at that point, he decides it's better if he just lets FD take over most of the time.)
But still it wouldn't make sense that Wars doesn't recognize Wind. SO solution:
Impa or someone else are the ones that first fought Wind, keeping him from meeting Wars them. Afterwards Wind joined the war and was put in a different faction of the war, further in the back, because he's more strategy than heavy hitter (ofc he obviously still fights really well) meanwhile Wars and Mask were in the front lines. This why they never knew Wind was there. Because they Never Met.
Look at him. So majestic. SO epic.
So my conclusion is: Wars and Time didn't know Wind was there. Wind was there. And because he's a secretive little creep, doesn't tell anyone.
#hyrule warriors#linked universe#linkeduniverse#lu wind#lu time#lu warriors#lu mask#tw suicide themes#I Just#I just want to see this so bad people#Unpopular opinion: Wind is a creepy little shit#not art#I would write about it myself if I could#but writing is so hard for me#so#birbsart

It was another day of training for class 1-A. Mr. Aizawa had thought it would be a good idea for you to practice your fighting abilities against one other student.
You didn't like the idea of fighting against your friends, but you couldn't do anything about it.
You tried to find someone to partner up with. Your best friends Mina and Tsu were already taken though, and everyone else had quickly found someone to brawl against, leaving you to the one and only Midoriya.
Izuku Midoriya, the green haired sweet heart who always seemed to be getting into trouble. He was who you were always falling for. It was hard not to!
Not like you could ever tell him about your crush on him, though. He was far too focused on his dreams to worry about dating. There was no way he could even like you like that!
"Hey, Y/n! I guess we're partners."
While you were daydreaming about him, Izuku had found you in the crowd.
You blushed and looked down at your feet, "I guess so!"
Deku smiled at you and began stretching for your battle.
Only one team could battle at a time, so you went to sit in the bleachers as the other teams battled. First up was Momo and Tsu. That would be a good fight.
As you watched, you let your eyes and mind wonder over to Deku.
He was intensely watching the fight as he stretched his arms. You watched as his scars reflected off of the fluorescents of the lights and bit your lip, moving your eyes further down his body.
His hands rested at his side for a moment before he wrapped one around his right wrist to continue stretching. You rubbed your thighs together as you imagined his hands wrapping around your neck...
Suddenly, a whistle blew and the battle between Tsu and Momo was over. Tsu had managed to push Momo out of the arena with her tongue attack.
You clapped for your friend and quickly went back to thinking about Deku. You would be battling soon, you would need a strategy.
As Tokoyami and Iida began their battle, you formulated a plan.
You knew how strong Deku was and didn't want to be hit by him. You also knew how fast he was. The only way you knew how to win was with a distraction..
Tokoyami had his won his battle against Iida, and it was now your time to fight Izuku.
You both made your way to your designated fighting area and got into a stance.
You could do this. All you had to do was get him out of the ring.
As the whistle blew to begin, you smiled at Deku and activated your quirk.
He started to run at you and you quickly summoned up a vision of All Might. He wouldn't hurt his favorite person, would he? Wrong.
You felt him kick you in the leg, bringing you to the ground for a second before you jumped back up.
Okay, so this wouldn't be as easy as you thought.
You searched your mind for a way to catch him off guard as he repeatedly threw punches at you, barely giving you time to dodge.
Then you thought back to earlier, when you were imagining his hands around your neck... You smiled and knew what to do.
You pictured that same scene again, but this time letting Izuku see it as well. You imagined him pressing your naked body against a wall and fucking the daylights out of you.
Deku had stopped trying to hit you. He wasn't moving at all, but had a very obvious blush across his face.
You took this as your opportunity to win.
Keeping the vision going as you did this, you pushed Deku until he was out of the ring. He didn't even put up a fight.
You could hear your classmates murmur in their seats, wondering how you won. But you were too focused on Deku to care.
He was staring into your eyes with a calm look on his face.
"Dorms. Right after class," he whispered as you both went back to your seats.
...
It took what seemed like forever for class to end. Deku kept looking at you as your classmates fought, making you keep a constant blush on your face.
You knew what you did wasn't right, but you couldn't help but to be scared for what would happen after class.
Aizawa eventually dismissed the class and you walked back to the dorms with your friends.
The back of your neck was sweating as you made it to your room and stepped inside. No one was there.
You sighed in relief and sat on your bed. Maybe he had forgotten about it, you thought. Once again, you were wrong.
A loud knock suddenly came from your door, causing you to jump out of your bed. You went over to open it and were greeted with a rough kiss.
You were taken by surprise, not able to close your eyes. It was Deku. And he was pissed.
He pushed you into your bed as he quickly locked the door.
"What the fuck was that, Y/n?" he yelled at you.
You gulped and looked at your hands. He grabbed you by your hair. "Look at me, you dirty slut!"
He was staring directly into your eyes with lust.
You softly moaned at the rough tug at your hair and bit your lip.
Deku smirked.
"So that's what you like, huh? To be treated like a whore?" The boy groaned out.
"Yes, Izuku..." you whispered and tried to look away from him.
He pulled your hair harder and forced you to look at him.
"You're mine now. And what you did back there, well... Let's just say you're going to be punished for it."
Before you could say anything back, Izuku had you flat on the bed, straddling you. His tongue found its way into your mouth and quickly won dominance against yours.
Your hands travelled into his hair and tugged softly. His mouth felt so good against yours.
You heard him take off his belt and felt the cold leather around your wrists.
"Bad girls don't get to touch without permission," he said in a raspy voice.
Deku continued to kiss you, eventually moving down to your neck, sucking and biting as he went.
His hands moved up your shirt and skimmed over your sensitive buds, causing you to moan.
He smirked and tore off your shirt and bra, desperate to get you to moan again.
He pinched at your nipples as licked his lips. He brought his face down to your breasts and slowly began to suck on your hardened nipples.
You writhed about on the bed, wanting to touch him, but he just kept on sucking, all while staring into your eyes.
Once he thought you'd had enough he stood up, causing you to pout.
He began undressing and you let your eyes wonder over his body.
You drooled as his tank top fell off to reveal his scarred chest and v-line. His hands made it down to his pants and, in order to torture you, he removed them at a painfully slow pace.
You were biting your lip as he revealed the very visible bulge in his underwear. It looked so big and you wanted it. Now.
Deku pushed his underwear down, letting his hardened cock spring lose. He then began to jerk himself off.
You both started at each other in desire, as he slowly crawled back onto the bed with you.
"I've wanted you for so long, Y/n," he moaned into your ear as you felt his warm dick on your stomach.
"I can't seem to wait any longer.."
His positioned his face at the top of your skirt and pulled it down with his teeth. Then he took a deep breath.
"Oh, you smell so good, you little slut," he moaned out.
Then you felt his hot breath against your core, coming through the thin material of your underwear.
He slipped the fabric off of you and let his fingers dip inside of you with ease.
"God, you're so wet for me, y/n."
"Deku..." you gasped.
He slipped another finger inside of you and licked across your clit, making you shudder.
He pumped his fingers into you faster, knuckle deep inside of you. Your pussy clenched around him and you dug your nails into the palms of your hands.
"Deku, I'm gonna-" you came all over his hand before you could finish your sentence.
You had no time to recover from your orgasm before he was on top of you, lining his dick up and plunging into you.
You screamed out in pain as he thrusted all the way into you. He brought his left hand to your mouth.
"Suck."
Your tongue danced around his thumb as he thrusted into you at a deep and steady pace.
He took his thumb out of your mouth and used your saliva to massage your tit, pulling at it roughly.
You couldn't help but to moan out, gaining you a smack on the face.
"Shut up, y/n. Do you want the rest of the class to hear you?"
You honestly didn't care.
Deku thrusted his large cock into you faster, his balls slapping against your ass. He had sweat going down his face and chest, which turned you on more.
His hand went back up to your neck, and he choked you until you saw stars. His dick was pumping into you faster than you thought Iida could run.
You were so close, and he knew it. His other hand went down to massage your clit and bring you to your ultimate high.
It didn't take long until you were cumming all over him, causing his hot seed to erupt inside of you. The clenching of your orgasm milked him dry and he collapsed on top of you.
...
You woke up to Deku lying next to you on your bed. He saw your eyes flutter and welcomed you with a soft kiss.
"Hello, Princess," he said as he kissed your pink lips.
You sighed with happiness and traced your fingers across his face
He picked you up off of your bed and carried you to the bathroom where a warm shower was waiting.
He got in with you and cleaned your sensitive, cum-filled body.
He kissed your neck as he made sure you were completely clean and dried you off before taking you back to the bed.
He dressed you back into a simple nightgown and tucked both of you into bed.
"Goodnight, my princess," he whispered as he kissed your bare shoulder, and together you slept.

Ash and Dust Part 7- Opportunities
18+ Dabi x fem!reader
Summary: You first meet Dabi on the worst night of your life after unwittingly walking into the very bar the League of Villains made infamous. That should probably be the end of the story. You stumble on the remnants of one of the most infamous terrorist groups in the history of Japan, get viciously murdered or call the cops and get them arrested, the end. Except that’s not the end of the story. It’s only the beginning.
Masterlist Help Lulu (Kofi)
Waking up the morning after reclaiming your bedroom (at least in part) is jarring for two reasons.
The first is that you’re waking up next to Dabi.
For some reason you thought he might wake up before you, even though he’s pretty routinely demonstrated that he’s not an early riser. Perhaps you expected the knowledge that he was sleeping in the same bed as you to perturb him enough to get him up early. Instead your eyelashes had fluttered open to find him still deeply asleep with his face only a few inches from yours.
You fully intended on simply rolling over to either fall back asleep or get on with your day but you’d found yourself enthralled with his sleeping face instead. You know Dabi’s smirks, sneers, and scowls like the back of your hand after a little over a month of living with him. His resting face, however, is entirely foreign to you. You’ve never had a moment alone with him where he wasn’t antagonizing you and it’s odd to see him so peaceful. Your eyes trace over his face, taking in the extent of the scarring on his jaw and beneath his eyes, but also appreciating the unmarred expanses of skin as well. It strikes you that Dabi is pretty. It shouldn’t be surprising considering what you’ve seen of the youngest Todoroki in the press but even still. In another world where he’d never become the wanted criminal he is today, you wonder if he’d be a heartbreaker or a sweet, gentle type. Would he be as quiet and polite as his brother seems to be or would he still get a thrill from bantering with someone who isn’t afraid to banter right back? Would he be in the tabloids with a different girl every week or settle down early with his high school sweetheart? You’re fascinated by the idea of what the scarred man before you would be without the tragedy and the trauma. You might’ve sat there just taking him in until he woke up if not for the second reason waking up that morning was so jarring.
Your phone has been pinging literally non-stop.
You’ve never resented your notification sound more as its shrill tone continues to echo in your room, putting the fragile peace at risk. Even before you found yourself as alone as you are now your phone was never this busy. As much as you try to ignore it and wait for the tidal wave of what you assume are spam notifications to end, the sound finally drives you to turn over and grab it. Your eyes widen as you take in the sheer amount of Twitter notifications you have. As you unlock your phone and navigate over to the app your mentions are literally flooded with Deku fans screaming about your talent and how lucky you are. It’s a confusing litany of fangirling that you try to weed through until you get to one mention in particular that makes your breath catch in your throat.
You got a mention from the rising hero himself.
Holy shit.
You’ve never clicked a tweet so quickly in your entire life. Not only are you stunned to find he’s seen and loved your work but he also mentions wanting to talk if you’re interested. Sure enough, when you navigate over to the messages section of the app, a feature you’ve never bothered to use, you notice a message request from Midoriya ‘Deku’ Izuku waiting for you. It takes everything in you not to scream as you read the message there over and over before finally hopping out of bed and moving to the kitchen to call the number he’d left you. It’s a little endearing that he’d been so quick to hand out his number to a complete stranger on the internet but you also can’t help but wonder how someone so naive could be the same man drawing headlines over his heroics and combat skill. You’re not exactly a Deku fangirl but it’s still wild to be dialing a celebrity’s number as you punch in the numbers and then wait for it to ring.
On literally the second ring the phone is answered. “Pro Hero Deku at your service! Who’s calling?” the young man answers chirpily. “Uhh, this is (y/l/n)? You messaged me on twitter?” “Oh! Right! Yes! Hello! One second!”
You can hear Deku excusing himself from whatever room he’s in, a disgruntled voice mumbling something you can’t hear, causing Deku to reply with a hushed “Sorry Kacchan! I’ll be right back!” before there’s more shuffling and finally the sound of a heavy door closing.
“Ok I’m back! Thanks for reaching out to me so quickly!” he finally says now that he’s, apparently, in a better place to talk.
“Yea, of course I guess I’m just shocked you liked my art so much and really appreciate you drawing so much attention to it,” you explain, feeling short of breath at how surreal the situation is.
“Of course! You’re really talented! Your work deserves to get attention!”
“Thank you but, uh, why exactly did you want me to call you?”
“Right! It’s about your artwork.”
“Ok?”
“I want to sell it!”
“What?”
“Wait well no not sell it. Or not sell that particular piece although it is a nice piece and if you wanted to theoretically you could probably sell it although I guess it’s available for free online already so maybe people wouldn’t want to pay for it. Although it’s a painting right? And people buy or pay to go see paintings you can see online all the time so maybe it wouldn’t be too bad but if it’s for your own enjoyment you may not want to give it up which would be totally understandable and also how would that work logistically? If the painting is rather large it may be unwieldy to try and ship it to whoever purchases it, in which case would you have to meet up to try and give it to them by hand? But then that necessitates meeting up with a complete stranger on the internet and what if the person who buys it doesn’t live near you or, since it is the internet, doesn’t even live in Japan? Then you have to contend with international shipping and-”
“Uhh, Deku?” you ask cautiously, barely able to process the mumbling of the young man on the phone.
“Ah! Sorry! I can kinda end up on tangents sometimes... What I mean to say is that I’m not trying to sell the painting you posted or anything but I think you’re really talented as an artist and one of my friends is looking for someone to design a new merch collection.”
One of his friends? Your mind instantly starts running through his impressive list of ex classmates. Your first thought is Dynamight and immediately you shudder at the idea. He may be years younger than you but the aggressive pro hero still scares the shit out of you. Uravity could be an interesting hero to work with although you’re not quite sure you vibe with her aesthetic. Or maybe he’s talking about the new Ingenium?
“You’re real fucking loud in the mornings, you know that Doll?” Dabi asks with a groan as he comes walking into the room with a stretch.
You hurry to shush him, not wanting to lose the opportunity being presented to you, which earns you a curious look. Before you can react Dabi is snatching your phone out of your hand and putting it on speaker. You don’t dare protest verbally and risk alerting Deku of the situation so you have to settle for glaring at Dabi as he smirks at you.
“Yea so, anyway, Shouto really needs new merch but wanted something a little more sophisticated on the designs and I feel like you’d be perfect for that you know? Making all his stuff mini works of art. So what do you say?” Deku asks, his voice still brimming with that same enthusiasm while your blood runs cold. You’re genuinely scared to look up at Dabi’s face to see what he thinks about the idea of you working with his little brother. You hold your breath, Deku’s chipper voice going nervous as he asks “Hello? You still there?”
To your immense surprise, when you finally have the courage to bring your eyes up to meet Dabi’s, he’s got an almost feral grin. “You better take the fucking job,” he hisses delightedly, sending a chill down your spine as you stutter out a response to Deku, your eyes never leaving Dabi’s.
“Yea, sorry just processing. I’d, uh, I’d be happy to help out.”
“Great! I’ll pass your number on to Shouto and you two can meet up and figure out details!”
“Ok.”
“Cool, thanks (y/l/n)! Hopefully I’ll see you around!”
You hum noncommittally before hanging up the phone, still waiting for the other shoe to drop as you practically watch the gears turning in Dabi’s head.
“You’re…. Not mad I’m going to be working with your brother?” you ask cautiously.
“Oh no, I’m fucking delighted Doll. You know why?”
“Why?”
“Because you’re gonna help me have a little fun.”
A/N: We are finally starting to get to the meat of the story omg. I’m sorry this fic has been so slow going, especially compared to my others, but if you stick with I’m pretty sure it’ll be worth it. I appreciate each and every one of y’all that’s been reading this fic because main motivation to write it has been hard
