Okay okay okay- Ik I’ve been sending these in like, everyday but I cant help it- your writing is soooo good!!
I’ve been feeling more hermitcrafty lately and Ghostbur obsessed, so I wondered…
What would happen if one day, the responds stopped? Like would we get a Ghost Grian who has a little ‘pesky bird’ friend, what about a forest spirit mumbo? I’m just very curious if you have a take on that!
-🍄
🍄 anon, I love hearing from you! Asks make me so happy >w<
~~
Hermitcraft 7, I believe you're talking about- with the messaging train-
Ghost Grian and Fae Mumbo- I love that solidarity
Grian being the ghost of the jungle forests that comes out at night and haunts unfinished builds, scaring the builders, leaving behind birdy feathers or seeds, or even building materials. Whenever he visits, parrots flock to the spot and it sometimes puts building on a hold - cause disturbing the birds, or causing them distress, leads to the building being blown up.
When not haunting buildings or spooking his [mostly] living friends, Grian is wandering in the forests. Its really unsure if that was where he died and just... never came back(he was there before the hermits, got separated, and was just... well... there now, again)... apparently Grian doesn't know either.
Fae Mumbo, tho - yes. Something about the new continent changed him. It was subtle at first, just random leaves and moss appearing on him, flowers bloom when he walks - even on solid concrete. When he completely became a fae, he was a fae of the forests - moss and trees and the mushrooms under the trees, the creatures that inhabited it.
Grian wasn't used to another entity like Mumbo being in the jungle - and the pesky birds kept an eye on him for a while. But, eventually, they became friends cause Grian fell out of a tree spying on Mumbo as the redstone engineer was planting potatoes around the place. They talked, did hermit challenges with this funky little lad named Iskall, and there was the mayoral campaign - you cannot forget their son, Grumbot - Mumbo may be a fae, but he's still brilliant with redstone.
Grumbot is just a little more woodsy too. Grian picked so many flowers and bonemealed the ground so many times just to make a flower crown for Grumbot(and one for Mumbo).
When they lost the election, the two made Grumbot a spot in the woods, where he could be a funky little robot doing funky little robot things. Like farming, raising a pesky bird - and Grumbot has two bodies he can switch his conciousness to. His very big form, and his more humanoid small form.
He visits his fathers in big form (and they visit his big body a lot)
Then there was the Mycelium Resistance - Ghost Grian is just as chaotic as regular Grian, and a lot more defensive.
What do you mean mycelium looks bad?? What do you mean, Scar?? This is a mycelium island!!! Mumbo, tell him!!
Then Mumbo joins Scar and it's a tragic betrayal
It may have all been a gag but Grian wouldn't haunt any of Mumbo's buildings, and the fae was really worried- don't worry, they're still on good terms
The Mycelium Resistance was when Grian looked the most like a ghost who died in the swamp, and Mother Spore was chaotic as ever.
*quietly* god, there was so much that happened in hermitcraft-

a life and death situation - noriaki kakyoin x reader 🍒
Tumblr media
a/n: another kakyoin drabble! i truly love this man okay i just think he's neat
contains: PART 3: STARDUST CRUSADERS SPOILERS, mention of blood
Y/N - your name
L/N - last name
F/C - favorite color
༻᯽༺
It all happened in the blink of an eye.
Seeing Y/N become so devastated at the sight of Kakyoin being pummeled by the terrifying Dio, only to crash against a water tower was quite heartbreaking.
"Kakyoin!" She and Joseph Joestar cried out. The leakage getting worse as time goes. As long as the vampire was distracted by his triumph, the girl highly jumped from one building to another, rushing to the redhead's limp body.
No... No, this can't be happening.... Not now...
Once his body was carefully put down, she carefully cradled him like a fragile porcelain doll. Never-ending tears start streaming down her face, and onto his. "Kakyoin... All of this happened so fast and it..." Her hand reached for his cheek and sniffled. "...it pains me to see you like this..." He then began, "Y-Y/N.. Dio's.... [The World]... Stops time.... Please... Tell Mr. Joestar... A-and the others.."
L/N's eyes widen, realizing that his 20-meter radius Emerald Splash wasn't deflected, but rather got cheated on.
"I... love you.. I'm sorry t-that... I didn't say it s-sooner.."
Her heart dropped.
In desperation, one of her hands held pressure on his large wound, the other not leaving from his face.
"N-no... No, you're not dying here! Kakyoin, stay with me, dammit!" She pulled the boy closer in her arms with little hope. "I love you too, i-idiot! D-don't... Don't die just yet!" She yelped with a shaky voice, still in denial while planting a kiss on his forehead.
And right after that, was Noriaki Kakyoin's last breath.
...Or so at least she thought.
Suddenly, life bursts inside him, it wasn't quite noticeable but the kiss somehow resembled something.
The wound isn't there anymore.
Y/N was too blinded by grief along with anger, too blinded that she didn't realize she healed him.
Her stand fully awakened.
With a deadly glare impaling through Dio, who was busy belittling Joseph, she growled, "You..." and laid down Kakyoin carefully. She stood up confidently, ready to take the vampire down.
"I won't let you get away with this, asshole!" L/N leapt forward and made her first move by an uppercut with her stand. The punch landed as he was caught off guard and crashed on the ground, she was now floating.
A presence was with her, and its appearance was a humanoid with F/C colored skin. The spirit had long hair, wearing a flower crown. It looked like a Greek goddess. This entity is alongside with L/N.
It was her stand indeed. And it finally decided to reveal itself.
"Mr. Joestar, let's rearrange our position!"
"Right," He began swinging with his [Hermit Purple], building to building as she was carried by her stand. "Dio's [The World] works by stopping time... Noriaki died figuring out how..."
After within a few hours of battling endless struggles, with Joseph dead and Polnareff unconscious, Jotaro did his best to play dead as cautious as possible. Y/N, however, had a chance against Dio. Continuous punches being thrown left and right, even with a bit of her stand's projectile attacks landing against the blonde, she still managed to cut open a few wounds. Determined and furious to fight, she's done enough damage to the enemy and yet her injuries are mostly fatal.
One left hook from [The World] slipped in, unfortunately.
The attack sent her flying towards a restaurant's window, leaving her to lose her consciousness as her vision blurred and her ears ringed. Before Dio was about to behead the girl, Jotaro decides to take advantage of him with distraction.
༻᯽༺
Finally, the blonde was defeated, and every crusader was rescued by the Speedwagon Foundation. Jotaro was with Joseph's body, Polnareff was by himself. The three were inside an ambulance.
As for Y/N, an arrangement was settled by Kujo to retrieve her and Kakyoin in one vehicle. He wanted to make sure the two of them weren't separated, and that he knew either of them would be panicking if they don't find each other together.
With the help of the doctors of SWF, she wakes up from all the chaos she had dealt with.
"We're getting signs of activity over here!"
The interior's lighting blinded her eyes as it was trying to adjust its view.
"Ms. L/N, how are you feeling?" One of the doctors asked. She hesitated for a moment before replying, "I seem to be fine..." her gaze focused on her injured hand, the one that she tried to punch Dio with. She brought it up to her lips and made contact, the pain immediately disappearing except for the blood. She stared at it again in confusion, but her train of thought was eradicated as soon as someone said something else.
"Hey... He's uninjured but blood pooled all over his clothes." A nurse pointed out, along with two other doctors analyzing the redhead.
Y/N's head snapped to look to her other side, seeing the light of her life, as her face depicts worry. "Was... Was I too late...?" She mumbled, approaching Kakyoin's bed slowly. "Miss? What do you mean?" A staff member questioned. The girl only noticed that she already had a stand the moment when he was dying. But she still pondered in her thoughts that she didn't get to heal him in time.
Her hand caressed his cheek again, and this time, the heart monitor started beeping in a sequence. Everyone in the vehicle widened their eyes at the response.
"Y... Y/N..?" Noriaki whispers as his lavender eyes shone through, causing her to cry joyful tears and covered her mouth. She carefully hugged him, never wanting to let go. "I thought I lost you," She sniffled, yet she was comforted by him saying, "And thank God you didn't. Your stand... It's amazing." He smiled though, out of relief. He decided to give her thanks by a kiss on the lips. This was a lot to take in for L/N, and she was gladly capable to accept it. The contact lasted fairly long enough, and they decided to top it all off by declaring their love for each other.
Looking from the rear mirror above, the SWF driver enabled the radio and spoke through, "Noriaki Kakyoin has shown signs of activity. He has gained consciousness, over."
༻᯽༺
Since the incident in Egypt, 5 weeks had passed and everyone got back to their daily lives. Polnareff went back to his home land, Joseph would be staying for a while to spend time with the Kujo residence, lastly — Y/N, Kakyoin and Jotaro are returning to focus on their studies.
How they also wished for Avdol and Iggy to hold on longer.
But those events had shaped the crusaders into what they're now these days. Their bond became stronger, and so as their stand's capabilities.
One night, Y/N and Kakyoin found themselves to be outside, stargazing. It was a good activity as a form of relaxation. Their hands were kept intertwined.
"I won't let anything wrong get in our way. I promise." His free hand cradled her cheek, causing her to make eye contact with him. She smiles, "Well, I promise that too. Gotta look after each other, you know?" and he laughed in response. He then closed the gap between them with a gentle, passionate kiss. They both hummed contently after.
"It's a good thing I saved you sooner back then. You're quite a charm, don't you know that?"

Alone and Together
Aaah, my work for the @fieldsofvesuvia gift exchange!! I love gift exchanges and am glad I got to participate in it! Big thank you to all the hard work of the mods!!
I had the pleasure to write for the amazing @amorizel and I hope you like it!!! >-< ♥ __________________________________
Sighing inwardly, Muriel let himself lean against the sturdy trunk of an oak tree, facing the clearance in front of him. If it were only him, he would not have spent his time lingering here, after all, there were more important things he needed to tend to. But leaving Dea alone in the middle of the woods was not an option either, as he feared that she would never find back to the hut or the end of the forest on her own - in one piece even. Though, admittedly, he may have underestimated her, even after all the time the two knew each other.
Letting his shoulders fall in defeat, he watched her as she tiptoed through the field of forest flowers, careful to not accidentally break one of the flower’s stems by stepping on them carelessly. A gust of wind drove through the apprentice’s appearance, swaying the fabric of her clothes softly and freeing some strands of hair from her braid. With the deep magenta fabric of her skirt, it was almost as if she belonged right there, between the flowers, with the dark, shadowy forest in the background. Even the blue touches of her outfit only blended her more and more into the scenery, rays of sun breaking through the crowns of the trees too, and seemingly playing with her form.
Even from afar, he heard her hums. Muriel would have always recognized the familiar tune of Asra’s lullaby anywhere, something the magician had often sung to Muriel when they were children. But coming from her, it was as if he had never heard the song before, her interpretation so close and yet so far from the original. It wasn’t unpleasant, he admitted.
Finally, after searching for the right spot, she turned a few times in her place, mustering her surroundings thoughtfully before sinking down. Her skirt puffed lightly before falling around her legs, warming her exposed skin on the still rather early spring morning. “Muriel?” she asked, looking up at him and catching his gaze. “Are you not coming? The sun is nice!” At her words command, the sunshine intensified, adding sparkles to her wide, inviting grin.
But instead of following her, Muriel took a step back into the shadows, hiding his presence in the veil of darkness. “I don’t plan on staying here for long,” he mumbled, barely loud enough for her to hear. “Pity,” she chimed, picking the closest daisy residing next to her. “The flowers smell amazing! I couldn’t wait for spring to finally arrive!”
Letting his eyes wander, Muriel inspected the wide variety of colorful flowers that had already begun to peak their heads out of the ground. Winter had been rather warm like every year in Vesuvia, but he was still surprised to even see the daisies growing already, though they usually preferred the summer over spring. Admittedly, the forget-me-not’s were tempting to the gentle giant, a flower that he liked more than any other, but really, he still felt the urge to move on. A few strands of lavender he could spot too, though most still hid under the leaves of the clover which covered most of the area.
He listened up when he heard her chuckle, not having noticed that she had followed his eyes while her hands worked in her lap. “You are always so reserved, even though there is no one here other than us, Muri. Why won’t you let loose a little and sit with me for a while?” There was no reply from the taciturn hermit, and she only sighed with a smile playing around her lips. “Fine, I will be done in a bit.”
Without their gentle chattering, she fell back into humming the tunes of the lullaby, her voice alternating in volume. Her words ran through his mind over and over, making him huff quietly. Being reserved had been the best thing in his life so far, sparing him from having unnecessary talks and opinions on things. Even if sometimes it was a reason for awkward encounters, it just as much saved him from losing himself in dire times.
Before, there had been no one else but himself to rely on and care for, and he was content with that. It was not like Muriel needed someone else to live a simple life. It was good as it was. On times, Asra would keep him company for a while, but never longer than necessary. Asra was just different, and while he valued their friendship, there were times he couldn’t have relied on the magician for certain things. Certain feelings, certain breakdowns even.
And it had been fine, Muriel got along with himself and the silence just well.
Being alone was never necessarily bad, he thought. It gave him the freedom to think openly, sometimes loud, most of the time quietly. He didn’t have to look out for the needs of another person and his own he could tend to the way he wanted. That was good, it was a valuable part of his life, and yet… He had easily adjusted to giving up his previous lifestyle in favor of sharing parts of it with another person.
Even after all the time he knew Dea now, Muriel still remembered how much he had wished and prayed for her to go away and leave him alone. All the emotions and responsibility had overwhelmed him more than the memories of his past even. But by now, he could not help but feel bad for the way he thought about her, only time having been able to make him give up on his loneliness, to instead be with her.
After all, no matter how much he claimed it was alright, there had always been times he had wished for someone by his side. There was Inanna, but the wolf could have never given him certain things that he denied he needed. So even if there had been some company from Inanna or Asra over the day, at the end of each, Muriel was alone again. Even in the rare cases that he didn’t want to.
Many things had happened between them. Even though they had been separated for a while, the two had found together just as quickly again. This time, it was meant for the better portion of their life, though of course, Muriel could not shake the feeling that one day she may find something better and move on. But even in the short time they had been reunited, here she was, making his days a little brighter, his work a little lighter, and his worries a little less.
Dea gave him the chance to move forward - something he had feared so long. What would it be like, stepping out of the shadow now? Following her example and make the leap over the border between the forest and the clearing? Would it still be so scary if she was that close to him? Or would she judge him for asking himself these questions, like he did to himself in this very moment?
Not even his loneliness usually helped with all these questions, and though he had Inanna - he had early on realized that she was intelligent indeed - but not much of a help either. But lately, he had found himself able to answer more of the questions that would plague him all day long. Simply by asking someone else. Someone like Dea, who always seemed unfazed, no matter what he asked her. With the hint of a smile and a second of thoughtfulness, she’d answer him at all times, and though he kept telling himself to not rely on that help, he still found himself coming back with more questions.
Because she was always right there when he needed her. To answer, to comfort and to care.
“Muri?” she called out to him, catching his absent stare with a big smile. “I know you said no, but won’t you come over? Please?” Grunting, Muriel stood up straight - as much as his posture allowed -, brushing some bark off of the coat on his shoulders from where he leaned and stepped out into the lighted area of the forest. Awkwardly, he tried to imitate the steps she had made before, his big feet not being able to keep inside the small footprints she had left on the damp moss.
When she noticed what he was doing, she snickered lightly, bringing a soft blush to his face. Quickly, she got up, holding out her hand towards him. At first, he didn’t want to reach for it, but losing his balance on the last few tiny steps on his tiptoes made him subconsciously place his hand in hers, a hearty pull bringing him to the spot where she had sat earlier on.
Flush against her, both of them staggered a little to keep their balance on the patch of grass beneath them, but it only gained another gleeful giggle from her, Muriel quickly retaking his hand from hers. “Finally!” she mused, and with a swift wave of her hand, she indicated for him to bow down a little, so the two were more on one height.
Lowering his head, Muriel gave her an expectantly look, almost as if he was saying, “So what?” What he didn’t expect was her working quick to swing something forward from behind her back, putting it onto his head with ease. Standing up fully again, he reached up, touching the slightly moist thing on his head, half expecting it to be a bad joke and simply being some moss she put up there.
When he finally caught something between his fingers, he plucked it, bringing it down. The tiniest, pale blue flower spread out between the big fingers of his, he mustered the forget-me-not for a while before looking at Dea, brows furrowed. “Flowers?” he asked. “Your favorite!” she retorted. That brought a meek smile to his face, eyes gazing over the bell-shaped petal once more.
Her skin on top of his made him look up at her again, her gaze shifting from the flower on his hand to meet his, as her hands clasped over the one he held out. “It’s better when you are close like this. Otherwise, I have to fear you’ll leave me behind and forget me someday.” His eyes widened at her words from surprise. But soon after that, they closed completely as he thought about her words.
“That won’t happen,” he assured her, placing his other hand over both of hers, bringing a soft, relieved smile to her face.
Because he too, liked it better when he was close to her since his life was suddenly so much less overcome with shadows as long as Dea was by his side.
