i did read a really delightful fic where it was like uber reincarnation shit with like gabrielle as an academic and researcher trying to dig up evidence of the xena scrolls being mentioned in medieval france and getting help with this research from like repressed nun xena and it was like intercut with like stories of a legend of a woman warrior marrying a local princess and the songs told about them and the seige of the town and such which was so my exact shit with like ridiculous nesting concepts of xena history it was genuinely so cute and soooo obsessed with someone u know hashing out like deep level academic research beef and whatever in fic form…
