I genuinely think Gentleman Jack would broke the brains of bad boy romance fangirls, because their defence is always that "what is wrong with liking toxic relationships, this isn't real life???", and in that show it's actually the good girl x bad boy (well, bad girl with possible transmasc tendencies, whatever) ship that is the more healthy and "normal". That is not to say anneshipping is always sunshine and roses, but it's not half the toxic mess that Anne Lister x Torpedo Mariana (who I call that because she's a Relationship Torpedo, a.k.a. in-universe anti) is. I just want to see so badly which ones are really in it for the toxicity and which ones just have a fetish for traditional gender dynamics and use "bad boys" as a cover for their hypermasculine men worship.

(Also there's an argument to be made that Mariana Lawton actually qualifies as a sort of subversive, embittered "good girl" because of her desperate acquiescence to societal pressures and the fact that she's technically a femme. But that's admittedly a bit contentious.)
