Redacted characters during a scary movie

Wolves, vampires, and D.A.M.N. Squad

Caelum is absent because it’s too scary for him and it probably contains some adult scenes that he is too young to witness but he’ll come back for a Disney movie night.

Gavin is bored at the beginning and occasionally tries to scare Lasko but overall pays attention to the movie and has a good time since everyone else likes it so much and is enjoying just spending time together

Huxley is thoroughly absorbed in the plot and jumps the tiniest bit during any jump scares. He also grips Damien’s hand a little tighter. He tries to comfort Lasko a little but it doesn’t help much.

Damien enjoys it but is also annoyed at every stupid decision a character makes and grumbles about it. He holds Huxley’s hand to comfort him through the scary parts and tells Gavin to knock it off when he scares Lasko causing the poor guy to accidentally elbow the fire elemental.

Lasko is trying not to hyperventilate or ruin the carpet with his drink. He enjoys the movie and being with his family and he tries to think about what could be happening next because he likes solving mysteries but also if he expects everything he thinks he will be surprised by nothing. He was wrong.

Freelancer is more interested in everyone else’s reactions because they’ve seen it multiple times. They’re the one who gets drinks and snacks for people so that no one else misses anything. They also try to stop Gavin from giving Lasko a heart attack.

David is just irritated at all the plot holes and things that are so unrealistic that it kind of ruins the movie for him. He does complain a little but won’t let Angel turn it off because they were excited about watching it.

Angel is so hyped for the movie that even the silly or stupid parts seem cool because it’s impossible for them to dislike it in that moment. They argue with David about any negative thing he has to say. Also They won’t admit it but they get scared once all the lights are off and they’re both in bed.

Milo is not pleased. He jumps and curses at all the jump scares. He has sweetheart pulled into his side so he can pretend that he’s making them feel better. But really, having them under his arm is making him feel better. But after the movie he’s fine cause he knows it was just that, a movie.

Sweetheart is laughing at Milo the whole time. They scare him once but he knocked over the end table causing drinks and snacks to go all over the floor. They genuinely felt bad so they promised not to do it again and that was the only way he agreed to keep watching with them.

Asher doesn’t. stop. talking. He’s making comments, pointing out funny things in the background, asking questions, sharing theories, asking babe what they think about this scene and that scene. He makes it through almost the whole movie without jumping until the very end and then he laughs about getting scared

Babe is trying to listen to Asher and the tv at the same time but that doesn’t work very well so they only catch half of each for the entire duration of the movie. They end up a little confused at the end but happy that Asher enjoyed it and that they got to cuddle. They secretly rewatch the movie one day when Asher works and they don’t but it just makes them wish he was there to cuddle with.

Vincent saw the movie once but doesn’t remember it well. He’s listening to it, but for most of the movie he’s watching lovely. When they get startled he kisses their temple with a small chuckle and tells them they’re okay. At the end he asks them tons of questions about what they thought and if they liked it.

Lovely pretends not to notice Vincent staring because every once in a while they can see his expression out of the corner of their eye and they melt. They don’t get super spooked by the movie and just genuinely have a good time. They love talking about it with Vincent afterwards. All the foreshadowing they picked up on and how the ending left room for so many possibilities.

Sam picked it out because he couldn’t find anything else that sounded interesting that he hadn’t already seen a bunch of times. He’s not super into it but once he made it 30 minutes in and it didn’t get better he kept watching because he felt he’d already committed to it. He will forget the whole thing by the end of the week.

Darlin’ is also not super into it but curious enough to glance up every so often when something catches their attention. They fall asleep half way through it though. After it’s over and they wake up they accurately guess how it ended. Because all those movies are predictable according to them.

I feel like there's two parts to the no fly list leak that are getting overlooked right now

1) the person in question has the handle "maia arson crimew" meaning media outlets have to cite "crimew" as the person they're quoting, which is amazing.

2) From everything I've read, crimew didn't actually commit a crime (in this case at least). According to crimew, the no-fly list was discovered on a publicly accessible server, totally unsecured. crimew was using Shodan which is a totally legal tool regularly used by a lot of the security community for research. Schools use and provide access to Shodan, it's a normal tool. Nothing crimew was doing was out of the ordinary. Her access and use of the file was most likely legal (or at least next to impossible to prosecute), given that it was publicly accessible.

crimew even notified CommuteAir of the data vulnerability. Which prevented more sensitive data from leaking, and was absolutely a sign of acting in good faith. Her obligation to even do that is a pretty gray area, but she did it anyways.

Now, crimew has gotten charged by the US in the past for other things, however, Swiss citizens cannot be extradited against their will. So the proceedings were suspended. She could only be charged under Swiss law, and given that the data is/was publicly accessible and the exposure was for public good, that's very unlikely to happen.

The people actually getting investigated by congress/the FBI/the TSA are the idiots at CommuteAir that were hosting the no fly list on an unsecured publicly accessible server. They're the ones who actually get in trouble for failing to have followed basic security protocols. They're the ones who had a legal obligation to safe guard that data, and they're the ones who fucked up.
