Is there any chance of Flowerpot ever returning, of so, do you have an approximate date? I love your world and would love to read more of them!!!
Hello there, and thank you so much for your love for Flowerpot!
As much as I love Ben, his story, and the world of Flowerpot, I've become a lot less inclined to return to it now that we're living through a real pandemic. Part of me is worried that I won't be able to handle the themes/setting sensitively enough (or even if I could, I don't know if what I'd be saying is meaningful enough to use such a sensitive allegory), but more importantly, I don't think the comic would be enjoyable for me to make. I'm not the type of author who likes to transparently incorporate personal struggles or real-life experiences into my stories, and unfortunately, a pandemic has become a real-life experience for me.
While I never want to completely exclude the possibility, I will say that it's not a high-ranking option for my next project

Some thoughts from the beta, though I didn't do everything possible since I like for some things to be new when I play the full game AND it forced me into a lobby after the intro and caused people to join my quest which was annoying and from what I could see, impossible to turn off.
Anyway, it seems promising. The new features like focus mode, swapping weapons, and the return of a lot of good features from World, all seem really good. And when utilizing the new features and attacks correctly, it felt really cool. I also liked that the player character is actually voiced now instead of silently nodding while someone else speaks for them.
Some of the UI stuff I hope will be more customizable or change in the full game, like the health/stamina bar. Since I was using dual blades, stamina was important to see but I had a hard time without looking directly at it.
And while it's not something I care about judging since I plan to get it on PC anyway, the PS5 performance is rough. I just left it on the default ('quality mode' or whatever), and the FPS was tough to deal with. I played both World and Rise originally at 30fps, and it didn't feel this bad. It almost makes the game harder because you're missing like every other frame of information. It's hard to explain, it's not like people who insist that a lower FPS on its own will instantly cause them searing eye pain, but it's harder to process all the incoming information and movement when there's so few frames. In a game that requires reaction, that's no good. There is a performance mode, though I heard it looks pretty bad.
Anyway, I'm still planning to get it, just definitely not on PS5. 😅

FP//you are summer, to my winter heart
Request: if requests are open can i request a fp/reader where you show up once Gladys leaves cause he asks you to help take care of jughead and you two end up together?
hey! i decided to do this as a headcanon because i thought it would be easier to show the development. i hope you still like it!! title is from a poet called gemma troy! i liked it (even though winter is the superior season)
Tumblr media
- ‘she’s gone’
- It was the first words you heard when you walked through the front door.
- But you didn’t really need to be told
- You could just tell
- You’ve been in and out of the Jones household countless of times
- And every time you’ve walked in before...its been loud
- On good days when Jughead and Jellybean are playing
- Or bad days when Gladys has called you over to talk some sense into FP.
- You and Fred usually take it in turns to go over
- Either to talk to FP or to take the kids out for a few hours
- But on the 24th of February 2009, for the first time ever, the trailer was silent.
- You looked around, noticing the lack of kids toys, shoes and just general mess
- The lights were off, the curtains drawn and FP leaned against the kitchen counter, barely able to stand up properly.
- As soon as you saw him your heart dropped
- Your arms were around him instantly and he just let go
- His fingers gripping your jacket so tightly you thought he was going to rip a hole in it
- And he just cried
- He cried for what seemed like hours and you just stood there and held him
- Because what else where you supposed to do?
- He was your best friend
- Even if he did have his flaws
- Even if he did scream and shout for no reason
- Or pushed people away when he was too drunk to realize what he was doing
- You were always going to be there for him
- Because who else would be?
- Especially now
- When Jughead emerged from his bedroom, he smiled as soon as he saw you
- And you untangled yourself from FP
- ‘hey jug’ You’d said as cheerily as you could and he sent you a toothy grin back
- ‘y/n, what are you doing here?’
- ‘i came over to hang out with you’
- ‘can we go to the park’
- ‘of course we can. but you need your breakfast first...so what do you want?’
- ‘...pancakes?’ He’d asked nervously and you’d smiled and ruffled his hair
- ‘sure. why don’t you go watch some tv’
- He’d ran off before you even had the chance to finish your sentence
- And the action made you smile a little.
- It seemed he hadn’t noticed yet
- His family had fallen apart and he was worried about missing the Ninja Turtles
- Or if he had noticed it, it hadn’t sunk it properly
- ‘have you told him?’ You’d whispered to FP who just looked at the floor. ‘so no?’
- ‘no.’
- ‘okay.’ You nodded. ‘we’ll tell him together. later on.’
- ‘you don’t have to.’ He’d argued but you just sent him a look
- He’d grown used to that look, and by now he knew not to argue with it.
- ‘thank you’ The sincerity in his voice made you smile softly at him
- ‘but you have to do something for me’
- ‘what?’
- ‘sort your life out’
- And he did
- It took him a while
- And there were a few bumps mountains in the road
- But he eventually did it
- Nothing is ever as easy as they say though
- It was difficult at first
- What isn’t difficult about raising an 8 year old that isn’t yours
- And keeping one of your best friends sober after his wife left and took their daughter with her
- There was a lot of tears, shouting and slamming of doors
- And that was just from FP
- ‘you’re not my mom’ - jughead jones every single time he saw you for a week
- ‘we don’t need your fucking help y/n’ - fp jones every single time he saw you for a week
- But eventually you got the hang of things
- A routine was formed
- You’d drop Jughead off at school before going to work
- FP would pick him up on the way home
- Dinner would be timed perfectly for you coming home
- You’d help Jughead with his homework, always finding a way to make it fun
- You’d spend your evening watching movies either at home or at the drive in
- Or you’d spend hours arguing about what to watch
- Weekends would be spent at Pop’s, or the park or at the river
- And sometimes you’d drive to the beach and have a picnic
- Jughead would always insist that you had to tell him a story before sleep
- ‘because you do the best voices y/n’
- Sometimes you’d read them from books
- Other times they were made up (mostly)
- And FP would always stop outside of the room to listen in for a few minutes
- And when Jughead said he didn’t need a story anymore he was able to quickly put him to bed while you cried on the sofa
- He’d hugged you until the two of you fell asleep
- Only woken up by Jughead asking what was for breakfast
- Some stories he’d recognize from the years before Jughead and Jellybean were born
- They’d be from summers spent together going on adventures despite being in your twenties and thirties
- Others would have just elements of truth in them
- Like when you’d found a suitcase by the river
- But you managed to leave out the fact that it was empty apart from the blood splatter
- You replaced the blood with a portal to another world
- And all of them you made sound magic
- To both Jughead and FP
- And he’d be left wondering what he would ever do without you
- So he would come up with a plan to show just how much they appreciate you
- And so the 7th November was officially made Y/n’s day
- It was kind of like mothers day
- But not
- Jughead would make a Y/n’s day card
- FP would make breakfast for you and then you got to chose what to do for the rest of the day
- You’d also always get a present
- One made by Jughead and another bought by FP
- It was usually always small, but you loved it anyway
- And even after almost ten years, Jughead always still got you a card and FP always bought you a present.
- You’d practically moved in with them within the first year of it all happening
- Sleeping on the pull out sofa in the living room
- It wasn’t that bad after a while
- Although you will always blame it for the permanent sore back you have now
- And eventually everything felt semi-normal
- You were like a little family
- You’d go to parties of friends together
- And you and FP would rarely be seen apart
- Always sat or stood together, talking or laughing at something
- Sometimes and arm would be slung around your shoulder or waist
- New friends or neighbours of the trailer park assumed you to be a proper family
- Assumptions would always be met by awkward laughs and quick mutters of ‘we’re not a couple’
- Over time though you started to notice a change in the way they made you feel
- At first it was sort of funny and a little awkward
- But the more it happened the more you felt your chest tighten when you or FP denied it
- Until you found yourself not denying it, letting FP laugh it off every time
- But despite that small detail
- You worked well together
- Everything seemed to be going well
- Until it happened
- Until FP spiraled and you were left to pick up the pieces
- Looking after a now 15 years old Jughead while his father was in prison and his mom and sister were god knows where.
- Jughead was lost and you could tell
- What 15 year old wouldn’t be
- So you made sure he knew you weren’t going anywhere
- You were always there when he woke up in the morning or came home from school
- You listened when he talked
- Whether it was about his novel or his friends
- And you reassured him his dad would be okay
- Even if he had been arrested for murder
- You’re still there for FP too
- Visiting as often as possible
- Even if you do give him the look every time you see him
- But you promise to help him
- And when he eventually gets out
- Your the first one to hug him
- Wrapping him up in a giant hug that makes both of you feel like you’re home
- Even more so when he hugs you back just as tightly
- Jughead coughs awkwardly and you pull apart
- You shuffle away from him
- Letting them have their own moment before taking them both to Pop’s
- Again it took a while
- But you got your routine back
- And everything went back to normal
- As normal as you can be when you live in Riverdale
- You supported Jughead when he wanted to join the serpents
- And you helped FP get his job so he could support the three of you
- Before his arrest there had been talk of you moving out
- Its not like Jughead needed you anymore
- Not really
- And FP was doing great
- But now, it looks like you were stuck sleeping in the living room still
- Jughead needed stability
- And you and FP needed each other
- It was never said out loud
- Never discussed
- Never so much as briefly mentioned
- But everyone knew the two of you needed each other
- The thought of moving out may have made your back happy
- But that was the only part of you that wanted to
- The rest of you didn’t know what you’d do without him
- And FP was absolutely terrified of the idea of not seeing you every day
- It made his chest tight and his head hurt
- So you stayed
- Until she came back
- Jughead went looking for his mom and sister
- Something you don’t blame him for
- You’d probably do the exact same thing
- But whenever Gladys is around
- There’s trouble
- She may be your friend but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t bring chaos wherever she goes
- Yes, she might have had her reasons to leave
- You don’t blame her for that
- What you do blame her is leaving one child while taking the other
- ‘well isn’t this cozy’
- The familiar voice makes you jump and you watch as FP stands up, eyes wide as he stares at his daughter and estranged wife
- Jughead is also just as shocked, hugging Jellybean tightly
- The ache in your chest returns, and this time no matter how hard you try it stays
- It stays all through the night
- And its still there by morning
- It follows you around wherever you go
- It seems no matter where you are in Riverdale
- Gladys and FP are there
- They both make your heart ache
- But both of them for different reasons
- And its not until you’re lying in bed
- Two weeks after Gladys turned up and essentially kicked you out
- Leaving you to quickly find a trailer to rent
- That you realize whats happened
- You’re in love
- But there’s nothing happy about it
- There’s no magic, sweetness or joy to it
- Its all yearning looks and gloomy thoughts
- Watching a family you used to be apart of from the outside
- She does what you used to
- She should, she is their mom and his wife
- But she’s missed 7 years of their lives
- Seven years that you’ve been there
- You held together, looked after and cleaned up the mess that she left behind
- And the worst thing is
- You know you’ll do exactly the same when she inventively leaves again
- You tried telling FP
- ‘you and gladys together does not work’
- But he just brushed it off
- Happy that his family was back together
- But he couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that something was missing
- Like when a photograph has been folded over
- He knows something’s not right
- He just can’t figure out what it is
- He can
- He knows exactly whats missing
- Its you
- But what’s he supposed to do?
- He can’t bring you back
- Gladys and Jellybean have come back
- They’re happy
- Or at least thats what they’re trying to be
- But there’s a massive crack down the middle of this family
- And there’s not enough glue to fix it
- Its just a matter of waiting
- Waiting for the inevitable to happen
- No matter how much he wills it not to
- Jughead and Jellybean are happy
- Gladys is happy
- But he isn’t so sure its because of him
- And to an extent he’s happy too
- He has his kids back
- He’s got a great job
- And eventually a house
- Even if it is the Coopers
- But he can see you’re unhappy
- And he hates that
- He only ever wants to see you smile
- Its one of his favourite things
- Always has been now he thinks about it
- But he saw you at his party
- You were smiling
- But it wasn’t real
- And every time you see each other you send each other smiles
- But they never reach your eyes.
- Riverdale being Riverdale
- Crazy things always happen
- You hear of a Griffins and Gargoyles being played again
- And remember when you would play
- Remember what happened to your friends
- And to The Midnight Club
- FP telling you all about it one night after Jughead had gone to bed
- Those nights seem so far away
- You suppose they are really
- You make sure to tell Jughead to stay away from it
- Not wanting him to have to go through anything that you or his parents did.
- And then there’s the robbery at Pop’s
- And suddenly FP’s in hospital and you find yourself giving him the look when you visit him
- He smiles
- Despite the trouble and pain he’s in
- Because you being here eases both of those things
- It doesn’t last long though
- FP is arrested and you’re sent home
- Its not until a few days later do you find yourself walking into the Jones’ residence again
- ‘she’s gone’ FP says, sat at the dining table with his head in his hands
- ‘i know’ You say, sitting beside him and grabbing his hand.
- ‘have you come to say i told you so?’ He looks at you sadly and you just shake.
- ‘no. i’m here to help.’
- ‘thank you.’
- ‘what are friends for?’
- The word stings, but it needs to be said
- No matter how you feel about him
- You’re still his friend
- So you do what you do best
- You fix
- And after a while you have a routine again
- It takes a while
- But eventually everyone gets used to each other
- And its normal-ish
- You still listen to Jughead talk about his novel
- You’re the only person he really talks about it with
- And you help Jellybean with her homework
- You take her shopping at the weekend
- And listen to her when she tells you about whatever drama is going on in her class
- You and FP take it in turns to cook dinner
- The other one always washes up
- You still feel the ache in your chest every so often
- But it’s not as strong
- Because you see each other every day
- You’re back together
- Where you should be
- Even if it is platonic
- Well, up until he kisses you before you go home
- He walks you to the front door as usual
- Offering you a lift which you always politely decline
- And just as you’re about to leave
- He grabs your arm gently, spinning you around and kissing you softly
- It takes you by surprise
- Your eyes widen at first and he panics, starting to pull away
- But when you fingers grip his arms
- The dark fabric bunching together as you pull him closer
- And you kiss him back
- A lot more force that he had
- He knows he hasn’t messed up
- He knows he made the first right decision in about 7 years
- Because when your arms wrap around him he knows he’s home

UnderBelly{ Sweet Pea: Chapter One
Tumblr media
Stephanie "Stevie" Jones was standing at her so called "locker" when her pinked best friend joined her, "Yes, Toni?" Stevie turned her attention to look at her, who just sent her a smile.
"Your brother is coming today so I can show him around. How ya feeling?" Toni asked, as Stevie turned back to her locker, grabbing her jacket before shutting it and turning back to Toni
"Fine. I see him all the time at home now. Not really different. Except for the fact that now we'll literally be spending every second together. But, now you guys get to deal with another hot head." Stevie explained, linking her arm with Toni
"Wanna come with? I'm sure he'd feel better with a familiar face to help show him around." Toni asked, looking over at the brunette. Stevie shook her head in response, "Can't. I'm supposed to meet Sweet Pea at lunch."
Toni smirked at the mention of their tall friend and Stevie nudged her before turning to walk to the stairs that led to the cafeteria, "Wipe the smirk off your face Topaz. He's just a friend."
"I'm just saying. You two have been hanging out a lot more recently. Before, you two couldn't even be in the same room together without me and Fangs having to hold you guys from beating each other." Toni laughed, causing Stevie to glare at her.
They both turned to walk into the Cafeteria before Stevie stopped at the doorway. She felt a smile make its way across her face at the sight in front of her. Sitting on top of a table where other serpents sat, was Sweet Pea; laughing at whatever was said.
Toni couldn't help but smile at Stevie, knowing how happy she was when she was around Sweet Pea.
"I gotta go grab your brother. Save me a seat?" Toni saluted and turned to walk back up the stairs they just came down from. Stevie shook her head at her pink haired friend and turned to put on her jacket.
At southside high, if you weren't wearing a serpent or ghoulie jacket, you were up for grabs by the ghoulies. But with Stevie being the daughter of Fp Jones, meant that no one even dared to try anything with her.
Stevie made her way to where the Serpents were sitting, causing Sweet Pea to hop off the table and smile at her, "Hey there, princess."
Stevie groaned at the nickname and shoved past her tall friend, "We've talked about this. I hate that nickname." She plopped down on the bench next to Fangs, who sent her a smile and she winked at him in return.
Fangs Fogarty was the newest addition to the Serpents. Having joined at the start of the school year and Stevie thought he was absolutely adorable. He was attractive, she would give him that. Despite having just joined the serpents, him, Stevie, Toni, and Sweet Pea were basically the four musketeers.
Sweet Pea sat next to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her into his side, "Actually. You talked and I listened. And I decided that I'm gonna keep calling you that until I come up with something better."
Fangs had sent both of his friends a look at the sight of them being all lovey dovey at the lunch table. Sweet Pea and Stevie both threw up the middle finger and turned their attention to the conversation that took place before Stevie sat down.
While Stevie was distracted, she didn't see her brother or her best friend walk into the cafeteria but Jughead did notice his sister. Or rather who his sister was with.
"Who's that with my sister?" Jughead asked, pointing to said girl. Toni turned her head to see who he was pointing at and let a smile make its way across her face. Stevie was laughing at whatever Fangs had said while Sweet Pea groaned, flipping him off
"Sweet Pea. He's helped her with everything going on with your dad. He's a good guy. He has a temper. But he's okay." Toni explained
"She sits with you guys?" Jughead asked in confusion and Toni sent him a look of confusion
"She's a serpent. Why wouldn't she be?"
"Stevie? She's not a serpent."
Toni rolled her eyes at the beanie wearing boy and crossed her arms over her chest, "She's been one for while now. Right after your mom left. Probably around the time you left."
"Why didn't she tell me?" He mumbled and turned to walk away. Toni shook her head and made her way over to her friends, "Why didn't you tell your brother you were a serpent?"
Stevie sat up straight and turned to look over at Toni who raised her eyebrows at the girl. Stevie sighed and ran her hands thru her hair. "He gets enough shit about our dad being a serpent and being from the southside. I didn't wanna add fuel to the fire for Alice Cooper to take a dig at me too. I mean, I'm surprised she doesn't know and hasn't outed me to all of Riverdale."
"You guys live with each other. How'd he never notice?" Fangs asked, furrowing his eyebrows
"Jug left after our dad went off the wagon when our mom left. He just now moved back in when dad turned himself around. Besides, I'm always with you guys or at the wyrm so he never got a chance to figure it out." She shrugged, leaning back into Sweet Pea's side.
Toni and Fangs shared a look before turning to face their two friends who glared at them.
"Anyways, we all have a bio project due and her and I are going to the library while you two figure how you're gonna help." Toni spoke, grabbing her bag as Stevie did the same and stood up
"Wait, we have a library?"
------------------
"You didn't tell me you were a serpent." Jughead spoke as Stevie walked into the kitchen of their trailer. She sighed and set her bag and jacket on the table
"You weren't around after Dad fell off the wagon. Even though he was here, he wasn't really here. He was either drunk or passed out on the couch. They've been a family to me over the last few years." She explained, looking over at her brother who just nodded
"Why didn't you tell me? I'm your brother? Do mom and dad know?"
"Because you've already been through so much! You were crushed when mom and JB left. And you left as soon as stuff with Dad got bad. I became one after you stopped living here. Dad was barely there and I needed protection. What better way to get that then joining the serpents. They've been here through everything. When the sheriff department came in here and trashed the place, they were there. When dad got arrested, they were there while you were off living in the Northside!" Stevie exclaimed, standing up to walk to the sink, her back to her brother.
She took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling, tears threatening to fall, "You've always been so judgemental about the serpents. I couldn't have you judge me too." Stevie spoke in a quiet voice
"I'm not judgemental about the serpents." Jughead started before Stevie cut him off
"You won't even sit with us at lunch!" She exclaimed, turning to look at him
A knock at the door prevented them from arguing anything further. Stevie sighed and walked over to the door, opening it to reveal Sweet Pea with Toni and Fangs on their bikes behind him. He raised his eyebrow at the sight of her bloodshot eyes, "you okay princess?"
Stevie cleared her throat and wiped at her eyes, "Yeah, I'm fine."
"If you say so. You ready?" He asked, crossing his arms and she nodded
"Just gotta grab my stuff." She turned to the kitchen and grabbed her backpack and jacket, " I'll see you at school, Juggie."
Stevie shrugged her jacket on and placed her backpack on her back, shutting the door behind her as Sweet Pea wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "You sure you're okay?"
"I'll tell you later, promise. Anyways, did you use the notes I gave you for your bio test?" Stevie asked, looking up at the tall serpent. She took note of his appearance. He had a green t-shirt on with his denim/flannel serpent jacket on. His hair, which was usually gelled off to the side, was kind of messy today. Not that she minded.
"For like all of 10 minutes. I don't need to study. Collins is an idiot. He'll pass us no matter how we do on the test." Sweet Pea scoffed, walking them over to his bike before removing his arm from her and throwing his leg over his bike, Stevie standing next to him.
"Doesn't matter. You still need to learn this stuff if you wanna graduate next year." Stevie huffed, running her fingers through his hair. If it was anyone who wasn't Stevie, he probably would have broken their wrist, but Stevie was the only person he allowed to touch his hair
Toni and Fangs shared a look with each other, rolling their eyes at the two before Toni called out, "C'mon love birds! We still gotta go to school."
-----------------------------
Stevie sat next to Toni in their English class with Jughead at the desk next to them and Sweet Pea sitting on top of the one diagonal from Jughead. Toni and Jughead were really the only ones paying attention to what Mr. Phillips had to say as Sweet Pea was on his phone and Stevie was doodling in her notebook. Very rarely did Stevie pay attention in her English class, mainly because she already knew everything he had taught.
The entire class was startled by Sweet Pea's sudden outburst.
"What?! Dammit!"
Kicking over the chair in front of him, he stormed out of the class and Stevie rolled her eyes and started packing up her bag
"Stevie..." Mr Phillips started before she cut him off by waving her hand at him.
"I'm already on it."
It wasn't the first time Stevie was sent after Sweet Pea after one of his outbursts. Everyone knew about his temper and how it was suicide mission for anyone to try and stop it. Stevie was often called out of class by either fellow serpents or Fangs and Toni who had texted her and told her about him storming off in a rage.
She pulled her bag over her shoulder and saluted the class before running after said serpent.
Stevie found him outside, kicking the crap out of a trash can. She rolled her eyes and rushed down the steps, "Pea? Hey! Look at me!"
Stevie dropped her bag and grabbed his face in both of her hands causing him to stop his assault on the trashcan and to turn his attention towards her.
"What happened?"
"Those damn Ghoulies. Fucking Malachai showed up at the wyrm, trying to get some of the other serpents to run JJ for him. They refused so they swung first." He explained causing her to nod her head, "Hey! Tall Boy and Hog eye can take care of the wyrm. Right now, you just need to calm down! You can't just go running out of class every time the ghoulies do something that piss you off!"
She noticed his breathing had slowed down and she took this time to look over his face. If you weren't paying close attention or looking close enough, you wouldn't even notice that he had very faint freckles on the bridge of his nose, running across his cheeks. He had black outlining his deep brown eyes with specks of gold in them. He also had an indent of a dimple by his mouth that only showed when he smiled, which he did when he was around Stevie.
"Enjoying the view, princess?" Sweet Pea smirked, causing Stevie to snap out of her thoughts and remove her hands from his face, reaching down to grab one of his large ones in her small hand.
"C'mon. Let's go down to the quarry. We need to get Toni if I have to deal with you and Fangs together." Stevie spoke, turning to grab her bag and lead Sweet Pea back inside of the school.

Songfic Day 10: Wish You Were Here
Tumblr media
Day 10: A song that makes you sad: Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Betty is having a hard time dealing with her life at the moment. She has never been this far away from her boyfriend but she knows this scholarship is his best chance at getting into a good college. It sucks that he has been able to come home the last few weekends but she knows this is just part of going to school in different town’s.
It all wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that their anniversary was this weekend and Jughead has to stay on campus at the prep school yet again, this time to finish an important project with his new friends, leaving a forlorn Betty to celebrate all alone.
*****
So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from hell
Blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
“I really am sorry Betts, please don’t be angry with me ok? I swear I will be in Riverdale next weekend and I’ll make it up to you. I promise. I just have to get this project done and, since it’s a group effort, I can’t bail on them,” Jughead apologized, a heart broken look in his eyes as he facetimed with his girlfriend.
It was Friday afternoon and Betty had been so excited that she’d finally get to see her boyfriend in person for the first time in nearly a month. His schedule had been insane the last few weeks and it seemed to keep him from coming back home lately. Jughead had been awarded a full writing scholarship to a prestigious prep school in the city which meant he would be gone during the week, leaving Betty to trudge through Senior Year without him
And Betty wasn’t so much angry with him, just more depressed and struggling with the way her Senior year had gone so far and not having her rock to lean on sucked. Especially when their two year anniversary was this weekend and Betty had spent the last three weeks setting up and planning the perfect surprise anniversary gift for him that he would never see. It just made her feel extremely lonely being without her other half.
Sure, she had FP and Jelly to keep her company, and Charles tried his best to keep her busy by having her assist with the search for The Farmies and her Mother but it just wasn’t the same without Jughead here. She was struggling with her feelings on her Father’s death and the aftermath of Survival Night but being Betty Cooper, she simply put on a happy face and stuffed it all down.
“It’s ok Juggie. I understand, don’t worry about me. I know how important this opportunity is to you and we can always celebrate when you come home next weekend. Honestly it’s no big deal,” Betty tried to assure him, smiling widely to cover her sorrow.
“Betts-,” he started but was interrupted by another voice off screen. A female voice, Betty noted.
“Juggie, come on! We gotta go if we wanna catch the previews and I know how you hate to miss them!” Jughead looked at the unseen woman off-screen while Betty clenched her jaw at hearing some other female calling him her pet name.
“Yeah Nat, I’ll be there in a minute, damn,” He looked back at Betty apologetically. “I’m sorry Betts, Natalie can be a bit impatient at times. The group wanted to go to a double feature tonight to decompress before starting the project bright and early and-,” Betty waved her hand at him and plastered that smile on her face.
“It’s fine Jug, go. Have fun with your friends and don’t worry about me,” Jughead didn’t look like he believed her but also knew she wouldn’t leave him any room to argue.
“Are you sure? I can bail and spend the night streaming a movie with you instead, I don’t have to go with the gang,” Betty internally cringed at the term, knowing that ‘the gang’ should include herself. And Archie, hell even Veronica. But it’s not the way things are anymore. The gang wasn’t going to be the same until Jughead returned, and that was only if he didn’t succeed this semester (which Betty knew he would) and get an extended scholarship.
“I promise Jug, I’m fine. I’ll probably just relax this weekend, maybe go see V and spend the night if she can pry Archie off her lips,” Betty giggled, honestly giggled, making Jughead smile.
“Ok, as long as it’s ok with you. I love you Betty Cooper,” Jughead smiled as his beautiful girlfriend.
“I love you Jughead Jones,” She returned the smile but hers was coated in melancholy.
*****
Did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?
“Well B, did you at least tell him about the surprise you worked so hard on for tonight?” Veronica asked, arching her brow as she sipped her mocha chocolate swirl shake.
“Of course I didn’t, V! I wasn’t going to make him feel worse then he already felt by making him feel guilty. It’s not his fault that he had a project this weekend,” Betty sighed, picking at her eggs and bacon. She had called Veronica first thing this morning for an emergency girls breakfast to talk about her failed weekend plans.
“Jesus Betty! You should have told him! You spent every dime you saved over the summer to rent out the planetarium and arrange that hipster laser show for him and he goes out to a stupid movie double feature with another girl? I mean damn B, why wouldn’t you tell him?” Veronica pressed, her eyes softening when she saw the tears gathering in her best friend’s eyes.
“Because he’s happy, V. He is finally out of the stresses that Riverdale brings and he’s writing full time like he always wanted, how can I ruin that for him? What kind of girlfriend would that make me?” Betty wiped away a stray tear that had fallen onto her cheek and continued, “Besides, he didn’t go with just a girl, he said the whole group was going,” she defended lamely, not quite believing herself in that moment.
“Of course he went with a group, B. Jughead loves you and would never step out on you, especially not on your anniversary,” Veronica squeezed her hand reassuringly and smiled. “Speaking of, what are you going to do about your one night only gift?”
“Well, I already arranged it and rented the place out for the night, so I’m just gonna go alone and enjoy the show. No use letting all that planning go to waste when I can easily set up a picnic for one and relax for the night,” Betty shrugged, taking another bite of her side of bacon.
“Do you want Archie and I to come with? Maybe I can bring Daddy’s bottle of Chateau Margaux? You haven’t lived until you’ve cracked open a quarter of a million dollar bottle of red wine,” Betty shook her head at the offer. She appreciated her friends wanting to be there for her, but if she wasn’t celebrating with Jughead she rather celebrate alone.
“Thanks but I’ll be fine, V. I swear,”
*****
“Thanks so much Mr. Simmons, I really appreciate you letting me have the placed to myself tonight,” Betty smiled as the director of the planetarium handed her the keys to lock up in the morning when she left.
“You’re quite welcome Miss Cooper, anything I can do to help young love. The cd’s are queued up in the sound system and the lasers are preprogrammed so all you should just have to hit this button here and you’ll be set,” Mr. Simmons said, handing her the remote control. He smiled again before walking out the door with a wave.
Betty let out a huff, slumping her shoulders a bit as she walked into the main area. She went to work setting up her little picnic, scolding herself for not being able to pack small amounts of food anymore since she’s been with Jug, before she hit the start button and laid back on her blanket on the floor.
The lights dimmed, the running lights on the floor being the only light in the room, then she heard the soothing sounds of Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here’ permeate the air just as the lasers cracked to life like lightning. This is so beautiful Juggie, I wish you could see it....
Betty felt her tears slip down her temples, her sadness finally breaking her composure. She missed Jughead so damned much and this song only served to speak to her heavy heart: breaking it open layer by layer and leaving her bleeding emotions on the floor.
She laid there, watching the lasers in her dejection, and thought about the man she loved more than life itself. She thought about all the good times they had, as well as all the bad times and wondered what the future would hold for them.
How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground
And how we found
The same old fears
Wish you were here
As the song reached its crescendo she heard a familiar voice singing from the entryway. She looked up to see Jughead standing above her, a bouquet of stargazer lilies in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other, grinning as he sang along to the music.
Betty jumped to her feet, not believing her eyes, and ran full speed into him, flinging herself into his arms as her arms and legs wrapped around him as he caught her. “Hey there Juliet, nurse off duty?” He whispered, squeezing her tighter. Betty cried against his neck, so happy that he was really here but curious to know how he found her.
“How?” She asked in a whispered gasp, clinging to him to make sure he wouldn’t disappear.
“Well, I talked to the guys last night and when I told them today was our anniversary, Natalie and her girlfriend chewed me out for not skipping out on the project. They practically shoved me on a bus this morning and told me I needed to make it up to you, and to gravel if I had to,” Betty let out a breathy laugh, feeling slightly stupid for her moment of jealousy. He nudged her head from his shoulder so he could look into her eyes, wiping the tears away.
“So, I spent the day getting your gift ready and when I went to Veronica’s to find you, she told me you were here and chewed me out again for not being here before and then gave me this,” Jughead chuckled, holding up a bottle of Chateau Margaux. If he knew how much that bottle was worth he wouldn’t even have breathed on it, let alone touched it.
“Did you really set this all up for me? How did you even remember me saying this was a dream of mine? We were like 12 when I told you and Archie about that,” Jughead looked around in awe at the lengths that Betty had gone to just to make one of his childhood dreams come true.
“Because I love you Jug, and I remember everything about you,” Betty kissed gave him a quick kiss and smiled, “Happy Anniversary Juggie.”

"Love me, mom"
"Jughead, your mother is trafficking drugs, she came here to take care of her business with Hiram Lodge ..."
No. It couldn't be.
Right?
Mom and JB couldn't have come back alone for that.
Mom and JB loved him, they wanted to be a family again, right?
It was a ironically sunny day, bright and silent. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky; purity blue and holy. If he concentrated, he could hear the whisper of the breeze sing in the grass of the trailer park.
But Jughead wasn't here to appreciate the magic of tranquility. Jughead had everything but tranquility.
Actually, he felt a whole pack of existence and emptiness at the same time as each step brought him closer to the door of his house.
He had to repress a bitter and dismayed laugh. Home. It sounds ironic to call "home" the only place that never felt like it.
Betty walked beside him, holding his hand tightly, making sure he knew she was there, at his side, that she wasn't going to leave him. He heard her athletes crush the grass, her breathing almost silent, trying to not break the silence that her boyfriend had established as soon as she confessed that his mother might have come to Riverdale for many reasons ... But the family that had left here years ago it wasn't one of them.
He felt hate. Towards Gladys? Towards JB? Toward himself or the curse of the Joneses? He couldn't tell, but if there was something he could promise with certainty, was that he could count the pieces in which his heart had broken, leaving him that bitter and familiar feeling of emptiness.
What had he done to deserve this? What did he do wrong?
And Jughead was sure that some world-renowned or marginally iconic writer once said something about strength, about weakness; about the love, the pain and the agony of a broken heart. About a shattered soul.
–But no one prepared him for the hell he felt now, about to open the door of the trailer, like a mirage. He felt that if he turned that doorknob, any emotional wall he had built throughout his life would collapse like an ill-structured house of cards.
Because that's how Jughead felt: badly structured.
"Jug, we can leave if you don't feel capable ..." Betty whispered at his side, with a soft and careful voice. He felt the firm grip of her slender fingers hovering over his hand.
Jughead didn't want to look at her. Not her. Not now.
"I'm fine."
Lie.
–––
When they entered, Betty felt her blood run cold.
Candles, cake, smiles on faces ...
It was FP's birthday.
Jughead admired the scene silently - even though Betty could hear the weight in his chest making it difficult for him to breathe.
The trailer seemed to be in a completely different time slot, perhaps even in another atmosphere: the lights off, the candles were the only thing that illuminated the soft and sweet darkness. Jellybean and Gladys were around, entertained with the dishes.
Betty felt his hand tighten under her grip.
"Jughead, son!" Gladys celebrated, with a stunning smile that shone from ear to ear. Betty wondered how someone could fake something like that, lie with something like that ... Corrupt a smile like that. "I'm glad you arrived on time, your father must be about to come!" She hurried, turning to look at the blonde girl next to him. "Why don't you help JB with the drinks?"
Jughead didn't speak. He didn't move a mere millimeter; He remained completely still, his eyes bathed in the sting of tears.
Don't break now, Jughead. Don't give them that pleasure.
Gladys, seeing that neither Betty nor he had moved, insisted:
"Jughead, son, if you don't hurry your father will arrive and the surprise won't be ready."
This time Jughead didn't repress laughter: it was sarcastic, rude and hurtful. It was designed to cut with its coldness. To hurt. To alert.
Gladys crossed her arms, beginning to get bored with the sudden change of her son.
"Forsythe Pendleton Jones III, can you tell me what the hell is wrong with you?" Gladys asked.
Ironic. Thought. She doesn't know how to act like a mother in any way, but she knows how to order and control as one.
But Jughead didn't know much about mothers anyway, right? He only had the model of his friends' mothers. Only that.
Jughead wanted to talk.
For the love of God, he wanted to say one and a thousand things more than his brain could even elaborate. But a strong and suffocating knot prevented it. He struggled with all his strength to not be silent, to say something, to break, to allow himself to be human for one fucking time in his life ... But something inside him refused.
Don't fall apart, not now, not in front of her.
Not in front of mom.
Mom...
Mom, please don't leave me. I need you. Please, please I need you.
He didn't know how long he was like that, frankly. Standing there, struggling to convince himself to speak, with Betty by his side, keeping absolute silence.
And he really wanted to talk, speak before it was too late, speak up. Save the worst part to his father ...
But FP was already opening the door, and all eyes fell on him like lead slabs.
His smile betrayed, seeing the preparations before the attendees.
"Hi guys!" He waved, patting Jughead on the back. "You didn't need all this, really ... It wasn't necessary."
FP, being aware for the first time of the absolute silence around him, looked at Jughead, then at Gladys and JB and finally at Betty, looking for answers. But Betty, feeling totally out of place, couldn't do much more than lower her head.
"Hey, what's wrong with you?" Asked FP, still retaining his innocent smile. Jughead's stomach churned.
Gladys looked at Jughead, as did Jellybean, staring. It was like watching a bloody visual war, silent like a cemetery. Blue eyes gleamed in the siblings' eyes when they met, icy.
Do you also want to leave, JB?
"Have I missed something ...?" FP insisted, drawing the woman with the brown ringlets' attention. He devoted only a few seconds of his attention before returning to stare at his son.
Jellybean smiled sweetly.
"Don't worry dad, Jughead is kind of moody because he had a bad day today, that's all." She explained, taking a napkin with her to the coffee table in front of the couch.
"Don't lie to him," Jughead ordered, petrifying his sister on the place.
His voice was cold, sharp and deadly. Jellybean could see the hostility in each word.
She turned slowly to look at him, still holding the pile of red paper napkins in her hands. She frowned with a look that could only have been translated as «What's the matter with you? »
"Back off, Sergeant Jones, I didn't say anything." Jellybean joked. But FP knew that sarcasm and acidic irony was far from being a game.
Jughead made the attempt to walk towards his sister with sudden movements and aggressive persistence. Betty held his hand tighter, pleading his attention. FP, launched with the same urgency as his son, stood between him and his sister, looking at him between confused, hurt and worried. What happened to the Jughead who begged him a thousand times to bring his mother and sister back?
Mom and Jellybean could come back. I could come back. It is not too late yet.
"What the fuck is wrong with you, Jughead!? Can you tell which bug bit you? "His father was no longer stupefaction, but pure instinct of protection for his daughter. His arms as a barrier, his body a shield. No one was going to hurt Jellybean without going over him.
"Mom and Jellybean are here for Hiram's business," Jughead spat, with a cold look of betrayal dedicated to his mother. Silence fell on the shoulders of the Jones family like a marble slab. "They don't care about us, not a slightest shit, they want to take advantage of your position as Sheriff, that's all." His voice broke. The security of his words completely unrelated to the strength he had left.
Jughead could see how his father's heart broke slowly, and then suddenly. His face lost all emotion, expressionless, as he slowly turned around to look into his daughter's eyes. Those she had inherited from her mother.
And when Jellybean's eyes met his father's, there was a muffled sob from Jughead.
"Is that true, Jellybelly?" He asked, with a lump in his throat. He felt the tears on the edge of emergence, his lower lip trembling with the terrible effort of not crying in front of his wife and daughter.
There wasn't an iota of apology in the rebellious eyes of the youngest of the Joneses, but coldness and contempt.
"How does it feel when they break your heart, dad?" Jellybean counterattacked, spitting the most deadly and bitter poison. FP stared in horror at the same lips that once gave him a young and innocent smile now giving him such a blow.
FP remained silent, giving his old soul the freedom to sink, collapse and tear, bleeding in silence in the depths of his abandoned being.
"I don't know, Jellybean, you tell me." Jughead barked. And if his sister's poison was deadly, this was the slowest, most agonizing torture ever imagined. He swallowed hard, moving away from Betty to face her. "Tell me how it feels, how is it tl get your broken?"
Again, nobody answered. Jughead's eyes danced from his mother to his sister, watery.
"Tell me what it's like to spend years blaming yourself for your mother's flight, for having lost your sister, for seeing your father fall into an infinite spiral of depression." FP's eyes lifted from the ground to stare in astonishment to his son. "To think that maybe, if you hadn't been born, everything would have gone much better." So he blames himself ... He blames himself for everything ... FP thought."Tell me how is it that the only model of mother that you have known are your friends' and girlfriend's moms, tell me how is it not receiving a sad call for your birthday. "Jughead's voice would be choppy if it hadn't been completely broken already." Tell me what it's like to call your mother, asking for shelter while your whole world was coming down, and being rejected. "FP looked at Gladys; she had her arms crossed over her chest and watched with silent indifference her son's pain." Tell me what it is like to one day getting back one of the happiest memories of your life and discover on your father's birthday that They are nothing but two interested harpies. Tell me, Jellybean ... Tell me, does it hurt to get your heart broken? "
Again, complete silence.
And the tears began to fall.
"Why?" Jughead whispered, imprisoned by the painful knot in his throat. "Why you don't love me, mom?" His blue eyes found her mother's: impassive, cold. "Why you don't love dad?" FP choked back a sob, his eyes locked to the floor, again. "I love him, why can't you?"
"Excuse me !?" protested Jellybean, offended, drawing everyone's attention. FP looked defeated his daughter's rage. "Who was the useless man who got drunk until he fell unconscious? Because of who we didn't have food? Who ran a fucking gang?"
"Who abandoned who?" Asked Jughead.
There it was, the golden question. The Achilles heel. The wound.
"Your father chose the drink over his family," Gladys said, opening her mouth for the first time.
"Dad was sick," Jughead corrected, looking with suppressed rage at his mother. Love me. Love him Please. "Needed help. And while you were out there living your happy life,he stayed here and took good care of me,did his best...Turns out that he's a better parent than you will ever be."
"One gets tired of helping, Jughead." Gladys said.
In Jughead was born a hurt sarcastic smile.
"But not lying, from what I see," Jughead finished, looking one last time before walking to the door, opening it with a sharp shove.
 –––
"Jug, wait for me." Betty begged, running after her boyfriend's accelerated pace. Her ponytail jumped from side to side.
Jughead had advanced to aggressive strides for at least twenty minutes as soon as he left the trailer, fleeing from the terrible memory of his mother, from the hatred and pain. Now they were in an old rusty park.
Jughead breathed heavily, trying to contain the rage and pain that was hugging his chest and throat. It suffocated him, killed him. It was destroying him.
Betty stared at him, distressed. Her fingers caressed the thin, trembling line of his jaw, causing a distinct effect on him. Her blue eyes traveled over his disfigured face; desolate, off, broken. Betty felt like screaming.
"Why they don't love me, Betty?" Jughead asked, and her soul broke into a thousand pieces at the desperation in his question.
It wasn't the Jughead who had seen Ben die when he spoke. Neither the one who ran in car races, nor the one who almost died for the Serpents. It was the twelve-year-old Jughead who saw his mother cross the threshold of the door with his sister holding her hand, to never come back. It was the Jughead who waited for her to come back every night to read him a story. It was the Jughead who grew up watching his father drown in a deep depression.
Betty hated herself for crying: it wasn't her family, nor her history. This moment was for Jughead, to let go of all the pain that was burning him.
"Why they don't love us? Dad is trying, really, I promise you, Betty," Jughead assured, crying in her solace.
Betty nodded, trembling.
I believe you, Jughead. I believe you.
And, finally, the wall fell.
The force fell.
Jughead fell.
He grabbed his symbolic hat with hatred and threw it with rage against the ground. Breathing with ferocity, anger and impotence.
It was like seeing a ship sinking, a palace being reduced to ashes, a volcano erupting, a cannon shot to start the war; heartbreaking, terrible and paralyzing.
Jughead dropped into Betty's arms, which, safe and strong, welcomed him and hugged him tightly. He hid his face in her neck, crying inconsolably over a sobbing Betty.
His arms wrapped around her, tightly, making sure she was real, that she wouldn't leave, that he wasn't alone.
She could hear the irregular and broken beat of his heart piercing the sweater, crossing the air to whisper in Betty's chest a sad ballad.
And, today, Jughead Jones fell.
–––
The trailer was once again in the solitary silence to which FP was bitterly adapted years ago; his son gone, Gladys and Jellybean away from him. Far from the biggest mistake of their lives.
A cylindrical figure fell from his hand to the ground, revealing when the mountain of other bottles accumulated on the ground collided.
Slumped on the couch, heavy breathing and soul shattered, FP felt a déjà vu engulf him.
He reached out to grab a new beer, opened it and took the green crystal figure to his lips, but not before offering.
"Happy birthday, mate," he whispered, as a single tear slid down the path to his ear.

River Serpent (Drabble-ish)
Fangs Fogarty x Reader
#64 What happened back there? #60 You look like you could use a hug.
(A/N: Okay so I get a bit carried away with my drabbles sometimes...)
The soles of your vintage vans scuffed along the empty corridor towards the student lounge. The muffled laughs of your friends floated down the hallway and straight past you. All you could hear were Cheryl’s viscous snipes rattling around your brain.
“You can’t be a River Vixen and associated with snakes Y/N, I won’t allow it,” Her cherry lips caressed every word.
“You can’t be serious Cheryl? They’re my friends!” The pitch in your voice rising in disbelief.
“So were we.” She cut you off, she had already made up her mind. “Just leave your uniform in the locker room, you won’t be needing it.”
“Cheryl please.” You still begged, although instantly regretted it, and she gave you a once over as though you were purely there for her inconvenience.
“We’re done here. Ta ta Serpent bitch.” And with a wiggle of her fingers she spun on her heels and fluttered back to the girls, not caring that they had just witnessed the whole exchange.
You turned and fled out of the gym to the lockers, making sure no one could see your tears. Cheerleading was your life, how could she so easily rip it away from you. But then you took a moment, and you faced the prospect of losing your friends, and that caused your heart to plummet, threatening a much more painful outcome.
How could you go a day without seeing your best friend Toni, just the sight of her rose coloured hair and camera in hand was enough to cheer you up. You had been each others closest confidants since she scared away the bullies picking on you in pre-school.
Or what would you do without the looming figure of Sweet Pea over you, ready and waiting to protect you from anyone that posed a danger to his true family.
And then there was the boy who held your heart; Fangs. Not that he knew of course. The thought of not being able to tease him or laugh with him or just see his deep brown eyes everyday sent a wave of nausea through you.
No, you would not give any of them up, they were your friends, your family and you loved them with every fibre of yourself.
With the echo of Cheryl clouding your ears and the image of Fangs blurring your vision, you arrived in the lounge. You didn't even realise everyone was staring at your seemingly zombified state until Toni's voice pulled you into the present.
"Y/N? What happened back there?" She referred to seeing Cheryl not so politely hurl you into practise. Little did she know to only throw you back out again almost instantly.
"Where's your cheerleading uniform?" Fangs piped up before you could form words and your gaze shot from Toni over to him leaning forward in the armchair, his dark chocolate eyes fixed on you.
He loved you in that outfit; although he had never admitted it. But the way your skirt swirled around your thighs with your every move always had his mind racing, with not entirely innocent scenarios.
As the question slipped from his mouth his gazed drifted over your skinny jeans hugging you so graciously, and he suddenly regretted it.
"I got cut from the squad." You couldn't even bare to look at the shock written across each of them.
Toni was the quickest to react, "She can't do that!"
"Well she just did. And she's the Captain so technically she can," You sighed as your legs found they could move again and slowly carried you closer to your friends.
"On what grounds?" She had a knowing look in her eye but you weren't going to indulge in the details, it would only taint them with guilt.
You shrugged as you were passing Fangs in his armchair trying to avoid brushing his leg, knowing what it would do to you; but he had other ideas.
"You look like you could use a hug." The corners of your mouth lifted as he pulled you onto his lap, wrapping his comforting arms around your waist and earning a giggle from you as he squeezed you tightly to his chest.
You were enveloped in his intoxicating aftershave mixed with his serpent leather, it was the place you always wanted to be.
"Thanks Fangs." You pressed a friendly kiss to his temple and rested your head of the crown of his.
He mindfully stroked your hip with his callused fingertips, well aware he was catching your exposed skin between your jeans and blouse, "De nada mi Princesa."
His warm touch and honey toned voice sent an all too real shiver up your spine and straight to your heart.
Toni's questioning look caught your eye and she, not so subtly, raised her eyebrows at you both. To which you could only reply with an eye roll and slight pink flush to your cheeks.
"It's because of us isn't it?" Sweet Pea spoke up for the first time since you walked through the door, completely oblivious to the rising tension within the room, the ever present frown troubling his forehead.
He had been silently seething since Toni had asked the question; expecting, knowing, that their snake ink must be the reason Cheryl had gone all hell bent on you.
You lifted your head, not taking your eyes off the rage within Sweet Pea's and gave a small nod, inwardly cringing as you felt Fangs' arms stiffen slightly around you."It's fine Sweets. I promise-"
"It sure as hell is not fine Y/N," Sweet Pea stood and started pacing, "It's bad enough that we get punished for being Serpents but to start dragging you into it because you hang out with us, is not acceptable."
"Woah there Sweet Pea-" Nope, he wouldn't let Toni speak either.
"No Topaz-" He stopped pacing and turned to look at us all- "I'm sick of it." His voice was low, threatening. You was all too familiar with seeing this Sweet Pea, most recently in action against the bulldogs.
"Sweets stop." Finally he took a breath and snapped his head towards you, letting you speak, "Listen, you can't punch my way back onto the squad for me, it doesn't work like that, I'm fine. And besides, I'd rather be your friend than a Vixen anyways!"
A lightness returned to him at the defiance in your revelation, Toni sat there with a satisfactory smile and Fangs glanced up at you with pride.
"What about a Serpent?" All three sets of eyes swivelled to Fangs, who didn't falter at the sudden attention.
"What?" Your voice was barely audible and you couldn't look away from his iris's as they sparkled with his idea.
"Well you basically are one anyways just without the jacket," He shrugged but quickly became serious willing you all to agree, "Look, you defend us, you have literally just chosen us over cheerleading, and we know how much you love it. I know for a fact FP thinks of you as a daughter, and hell, you've gotten us out of enough shit up to now. You're a Serpent Y/N, maybe it's time it was official."
He flitted between the three of you but your eyes never left him, you could see the sincerity, he really wanted this. Did you want it though?
And as you sat with your best friends your heart told you yes.
You glanced at Toni and Sweets who looked impressed.
"I'm in." Sweets replied a smirk gracing his lips.
"Yeah me too," Toni agreed, "You're part of the family anyways babe, we got your back on this, like always."
Now all eyes turned to you. You could feel Fangs' eyes burning a hole in the side of your face trying to gauge your feelings.
A long deep breath passed through your lips before you spoke, your voice laced with excitement, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but yes, I'll do it."
They erupted in cheers, you couldn't hold your smile in any longer and Fangs squeezed you again, so tight you didn't think he was going to let go; not that you'd have minded if he didn't.
"Alright alright," You motioned them to calm down before turning to Fangs, a daring glimmer in your eyes, "Bet you only suggested it to watch me do the initiation dance."
You heard Toni bark out a laugh, and even glimpsed Sweet Pea smiling at your flirty accusation.
"Would I ever?!" He feigned shock and insult at your words before matching your cheeky tone, "Besides I reckon I'd get to see that anytime I wanted."
"Fangs!!" You screeched and smacked his chest in jest. "Bloody Serpents."
And at that you all cracked up, your earlier anguish long forgotten in the midst of the laughter.

Can I request a oneshot where V stays over at SP trailer and he has a nightmare and can’t sleep and V calms him down and it’s just really fluffy
Hey there! First off, I am so so so so so sorry it took me this long to complete this prompt. I didn’t make it super fluffy, but I really hope you like what I came up with! Enjoy :)
A crash. A bang. The scream of thunder and the sharp sheen of rain as it poured around the trailer in Sunnyside Park like molten metal that hardened just as it hit the tin roof. All of it, the fearsome sound of the storm outside mixed with the eerie silence of the bedroom, became a contrasting crescendo that knocked Sweet Pea out of his nightmare and back into reality.
He reached out in reaction, feeling himself fall while laying completely still in his queen-size bed, the thin sheet of cotton brushing against his feverish hands like cool liquid, somewhat damp from the sweat still dripping from his temple. Beside him, his knuckle grazed the warmth of another’s bare skin, and in an instant it all came rushing back to him – Veronica had stayed the night and he wasn’t all alone.
The relief crashed over him in a warm wave as he slowed the inhale-exhale pattern of hyperventilation, his fingers returning to the soft, velvet thigh curled just above his left knee. He needed to touch her, needed a totem to keep him grounded, a reminder that he wasn’t back in that dark and gritty alley but instead in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his lover who slept soundlessly beside him.
Her black hair was nestled neat beside her cheek, tucked just under her chin as a few stray strands blew softly back and forth with each breath she released. Her long downy lashes, lighter without the aid of make-up, flickered with the reflex of sleep, though still clinging close to her lids, the skin there appearing baby soft and nearly untouched. She looked so peaceful, curled up beside him with her legs tangled up in his, so strong in the person he knew her to be and yet so fragile in the woman she looked while lost in slumber. He felt his love for her pour into his heart, melting the ice that had formed there from the nightmare, relishing in the feeling of its slow and steady beat.
He longed to reach out and stroke the soft apple of her cheek. He didn’t want to disturb her, knowing the skin of his knuckles was rougher than desired, but the urge to feel her warmth emanating from such a small, concentrated part of her body, won out. He brushed against the velvet there, feeling the thin whiskers of her face emerging from her pores, their feminine fleece caressing his hardened skin like a whisper. Her breath caught, a brisk inhale followed by a slow exhale as her eyes opened slowly and softly, an angelic awakening if he ever saw one.
“Mm, ssswrong, babe?” she mumbled as she fought back a yawn, her lips curling upward into a smile as she met his eyes with her own. “Can’t sleep?”
“Can’t sleep,” he replied tenderly, hoping she couldn’t read the pained, haunted expression that had been painted over his features during his fitful slumber.
He wanted to spare her the fear, spare her the worry that would inevitably come if he told her what he had envisioned, the gruesome sight that had surrounded him as he watched, one by one, as the men he fought with, worked with, broke bread with in their Serpent den fell at the hands of another pack of rabid wolves, the merciless Ghoulies who had come seeking vengeance in the alleyway behind the Whyte Wyrm.
“Is it raining outside?” she asked, her brows furrowed as she attempted to sit up, her palm pressing into the damp sheets as she peered through the dark toward the single bedroom window. As she felt the moist cotton beneath her, her eyes darted south, breezing over the material with her glance before she looked back up at Sweet Pea, the worry he tried to avoid evident in her eyes.
“Are you okay?” She reached out with a concerned hand, brushing her fingertips against the dampened surface of his temples. “Your hair is soaked, Pea. Did you have a nightmare?”
He pulled away from her, the hair above his ears just out of reach of her fingers that itched to stroke and soothe. Always such the tough guy, he could practically hear her think, knowing she would be chiding him if she weren’t so worried.
“It’s nothing, Veronica,” he replied back, doing his best to fake a casual tone, knowing fully well she would see through his bullshit. Like she always does.
“It doesn’t look like nothing, Pea. You’ve soaked through the sheets with your sweat and your skin is ice cold. I’ve never seen you look so clammy. You give yourself away too easily, Sweet Pea. I know you.”
I know you do. The ultimate betrayal of a good relationship.
“It’s just a bad dream, babe. Bad dreams happen and then they go away.” He reached out to stroke her cheek, hoping the sweet endearment and affectionate gesture would throw her scent off the path she was sniffing, searching for any hint of deception.
And, of course, she found some.
“Stop lying to me, Pea,” she sighed exasperatedly, re-adjusting herself on the bed to sit up even further. She pushed at the pillow wedged between where her head had been beside his so she could face him better, the signs of sleep from before erased completely from her features. “I know when you’re bullshitting me. I don’t know why you keep trying.”
He lifted one shoulder in reply, a half-hearted shrug, knowing he’d been caught and not quite knowing what to say. It still unnerved him that she could read him so well, to find anybody in life who could read between the lines he so slyly created on the mask of the badass, no-shit-taking persona that he wore around in public like skin. That had been her appeal, though; the fact that she called him out on his bullshit had been what had set her apart from the other girls in Riverdale.
There really was nobody like Veronica, especially for him.
“So are you going to tell me about the nightmare or am I going to have to force it out of you?”
Sweet Pea tried another angle, one he knew could make Veronica weak, and he tossed her a playful smirk.
“Just how do you suggest doing that, princess?”
In retaliation, pure warlike retaliation, she flicked her perfectly manicured fingers roughly over one of his nipples, watching as it perked up beneath his thin white cotton t-shirt.
“Shit, Veronica,” he chuckled as she bit her bottom lip and smiled.
“Don’t be such a baby,” she replied back teasingly, “and tell me what you were dreaming about. It’s not like you to be so guarded like this, not with me. Tell me what you saw and we can go back to sleep.”
“Or not sleep,” he murmured as he wriggled an eyebrow at her, but she was unfazed and he sighed in defeat. “Fine. But you have to promise me you won’t get all goo-goo about it. It was just a dream and I don’t want you worrying yourself over nothing.”
“No promises,” she replied matter-of-factly.
Sweet Pea rolled his eyes as he settled back onto the bed, crushing his pillow with the thick set of midnight black strands adorning his head. Veronica leaned in a little deeper over him, her watchful eyes searching for the answers but still he could see the patience there. He looked over toward the window, the glow of the midnight moon shining against the cheap white blinds that were partially closed. The reflection of the rain drops and streams echoed against the plastic, falling down, down, down like the bodies of the men he had watched die painfully in his sleep.
“I saw the Serpents go down in a fight with the Ghoulies. Malachi brought in some new clientele and they were stinking up the streets with the dirty coke they were dealing. In the dream, Jughead ordered a surveillance of their stakeout, but someone had ratted on us and we were ambushed behind the Wyrm. Fangs went down first, two shots to the head, and then Blackhawk. Next, Jughead caught a slug in the chest covering for Toni, who got hit in the crossfire trying to crawl away from the alley. FP was nowhere in sight, which was probably for the best. He would have gone total apeshit, totally uncontrollable if he saw Jughead bleed out like that. So much blood, so much damn blood.”
Sweet Pea could hear the change in his voice, feel the thickness grow as he fought to swallow the lump that was rising up in his throat.
“I looked for you, called out for you, because in the dream I knew you were coming to see me, then suddenly I felt this burning sensation in my chest. I looked down and there was a bullet hole, about the size of a quarter, cratering into my skin like someone had stuck a very large thumb into the muscle and pressed really hard. Parts of my shirt had been ripped from the blast and there was so much red staining the already black color of my shirt. Everything looked wet, wet from my blood, and it took all the strength I had left not to collapse completely to the ground. I crumbled to my knees slowly and slumped back, my head sliding down to meet concrete. I looked for you, turned my head to the side, but instead all I could see were Fangs’ eyes staring back at me with this haunting blank stare. I wanted to throw up, wanted to die, but I wanted to see you first, but you never came and I woke up just as I was beginning to close my eyes.”
A low rumble of thunder echoed in the distance as the rain continued to spill, a brief flash of lightning illuminating the room as Sweet Pea tried to tether himself to the present. He could feel Veronica peering down at him with that worried look he hated seeing on her face, could feel her pity, and for a moment he felt like a coward.
“None of that happened, Pea. Everybody is okay. And I’m here now.”
He looked over at her, his pained eyes finding solace in the warm brown of her stare, thankful the pity he felt wasn’t actually evident on her face. He smiled, ever so slightly, as he watched her bring a hand to his cheek, the soft texture of her knuckles grazing against his cheek and jawbone, and he leaned into the gesture, warmed by the comforting feeling of her affection and presence.
He could see she wanted to say more, wanted to persuade him everything was okay with peppered kisses and gentle promises to protect him – all things that would have made him feel the shame even greater – but instead she lowered herself down beside him, nestling her head in the crook of his chest and bicep. Her gentle hand rested comfortably on his chest, her arm slung over him in the only protective move that didn’t make him cringe with guilt.
He could see she wanted to say more, wanted to do more, but she knew him better than anybody else.
That embrace, that warm offering of company and solace and casual affection, was just what he needed to lull himself back into slumber. He could feel Veronica slip back into sleep as well, her soft and low breathing the last thing he heard as he drifted off into rest, the peace within him restored by the peace she gave simply being the woman he loved who loved the man he was.

WIP GAME
Thank you to @tory-b for tagging me in this even though she KNOWS I have way too many WIPs to count... you’re a nightmare and I adore you.
So since we all know that I’m shit at writing lately, all of these are going to be filed under: I currently have 1 or 2 chapters of these stories written but I don’t know if I’ll ever actually post them so tell me what y’all think and give me encouragement because I’m dying over here:
Blitz: Bughead || A Friday Night Lights AU. Jughead Jones has a game plan. Graduate high school, get a scholarship to Notre Dame, play college ball, go pro, marry Betty Cooper and have five kids. And then he shatters his leg and all of his dreams.
Ghost of You: Bughead || Getting a job at Jones & Blossom Publishing is Betty Cooper’s dream come true. She loves her coworkers, the stories she gets to read, and the fact that she suddenly has inspiration for her novel. Things she doesn’t love? Jughead Jones, the Publisher, who’s rude and standoffish and makes her feel like an incompetent child.
Jughead Jones knows what it’s like to have the world in your hands and six feet underneath you in just a matter of moments. Scarred from a tragedy in his past; he’s forgotten what it’s like to love or to even be happy. Can the girl with sunshine in her heart save a man drowning in the darkness?
How Little You Know: Bughead || Jughead Jones gets adopted by the Lodge family when he’s six years old. Veronica/Jughead adopted sibling AU. When he graduates college, he finds that he’s in love with their childhood friend, Betty Cooper. Only he doesn’t realize it until she’s parading around her new boyfriend that she’s very happy with. Cue Jughead trying to figure out why he’s suddenly hating Betty’s smile, Veronica trying to get her idiot brother to open his eyes, Archie enjoying all the drama, and Betty realizing that you can have all those things you’ve ever wanted.
Untitled PR Stunt AU: Bughead || Jughead Jones is a name that everyone who’s anyone knows. Son of Oscar winning actor FP Jones, he’s made his way to the top of Hollywood and even has the pretty awards to show for it. What else does he have? A terrible attitude and way too many late nights with girls he doesn’t remember. When his management team has finally had enough, they decide to pull off the biggest PR stunt Jughead’s ever had to do.
After Betty Cooper’s journalism piece is rejected for her campus’s prestigious newspaper, she feels a sense of loss and puts all her focus on studying to become an elementary teacher instead. When she runs into Jughead Jones--literally, she’s given the chance of a lifetime. With soft blonde hair and even gentler green eyes, Betty Cooper is just the right girl to turn around Jughead’s deteriorating reputation. He can’t stand her and that’s fine. After all, all Betty needs is one good story.
Untitled High School AU: Jonsa || Sansa Stark doesn’t mean to fall for Jon Targaryen; senior captain of the Winterfell Ravens and her brother’s closest friend. But she does.
Untitled Friends-to-Lovers AU: Jonsa || After Robb makes fun of Jon for not knowing how to flirt with girls, Sansa decides to be the one to show him the ropes. It’s going perfectly; until he actually meets a girl that falls for him. Sansa has to choose between letting Jon be happy with someone else or admitting that she’s been in love with him this whole time.
who we are (who we’ll become): Bughead || Jughead Jones has it all. Rich, entitled, and arrogant; he may be an Academy Award winner, but he’s no one’s favorite. After he’s busted for his third DUI, he’s forced back to his small hometown of Riverdale in hopes of reconnecting with the man he used to be. A change of scenery, he can handle. But seeing his highschool girlfriend that he left behind years ago? That was something he never planned on.
wild horses (couldn’t drag me away): Bughead, Celebrities AU, drug addiction, reconnecting, hurt/comfort. || “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
crazy beautiful: bughead || He’s got everything to lose; she’s got something to prove. Five years after her father killed her sister and then shot himself, Betty Cooper returns to Riverdale High for her senior year. No one wants her around; except for Jughead Jones. Jughead has it all; 4.0 GPA, great friends, a happy family, and a bright future at Stanford. His life is perfect, aside from the fact that his little sister is dying and there’s nothing he can do to save her.
Betty can’t forgive Jughead for turning his back on her all those years ago, but he’s not going to let history repeat itself again.
a little town (called riverdale): CORE FOUR AU. || Football star Jason Blossom is the victim of a hit-and-run right before his senior year of high school. Him not being able to ever play football again alters the lives of the core four in ways they never expected.
Archie Andrews doesn’t know why he can’t stop thinking about Jason Blossom. After all, he never even really knew the guy. But suddenly he finds himself wanting to help the other boy whenever he can; no matter how badly Jason sometimes wishes he would leave him alone.
Veronica Lodge watches her boyfriend become enamored by someone else, but she can’t bring herself to care. All she cares about is Cheryl Blossom, who isn’t the mean girl she wishes everyone thought she was.
Betty Cooper can’t sleep. She can’t eat. She can’t think. All she can think of is the night of Reggie’s party, of Jason’s accident, and about the secret she’s been hoarding that could ruin everything.
Jughead Jones wants to write a groundbreaking story, that’s all he wants to do. He’s never had a conversation with Betty Cooper, but he knows he can’t stand her. She’s the perfect star student who’s always smiling and that everyone loves. When she confides in him after a panic attack, he has to choose between being her friend or using the information she’s just given him to write the story of a lifetime.
the city of (our broken) dreams: ONE-SHOT. varchie & bughead || Betty marries Archie. Jughead marries Veronica. Betty loves Jughead, Jughead loves Betty. Archie loves Veronica, Veronica loves Archie. Each of them have it all; all of their dreams came true. So they smile at each other and act like the best of friends when they all know the truth. The person standing next to them isn’t the person they love.
truth runs wild: Choni || Veronica dares Cheryl to kiss Toni. She doesn’t dare Cheryl to fall in love with her, but she does.
New York, I Love You: Core Four Gossip Girl AU. Betty Cooper tries to figure out how to win the heart of a boy who she isn’t sure even has one while doing her best to keep her family from falling apart after a huge scandal. Veronica Lodge has a huge secret that’s killing her to keep, but telling people would mean she would ruin Archie Andrews’ life. Archie Andrews is coping with the PTSD he has after the events of last year. All he wants is to keep his grades up and get into college on the west coast so he can leave New York behind, once and for all. Jughead Jones just wants to prove to his parents that he isn’t some worthless party animal. He also wants to prove to Betty Cooper that he can be worthy of her love; too bad he isn’t the only one anymore.
Ghost of Girlfriend’s Past AU: Bughead || Jughead Jones has it all. He’s the most sought after photographer in California and he gets to travel to the most exotic places and eat all the best foods. His life couldn’t get any better. Then he goes back to Riverdale for his best friend’s wedding and comes face to face with Betty Cooper, his childhood best friend whose heart he broke years ago. When she makes it apparent that she has no interest in getting to know Jughead now, he realizes that he’s been missing the most important thing this entire time. Of course it takes the help of three ghosts to see that.
Family Man AU: Bughead || Thirteen years ago, Jughead and Betty said goodbye to each other in a crowded airport. Jughead promised he would come back to her after she pleaded for him to turn away his internship and stay with her in Riverdale. That was the last time he ever saw her. Now, he’s thirty-four and has absolutely no regrets. Until a man shows up and tells him that he’s got it all wrong. When Jughead wakes up the next day, he’s suddenly back in Riverdale, and that’s not all. He’s married to Betty Cooper, has two kids and a dog, drives a minivan, and makes less than 100k a year. How the hell is he supposed to get through this?
OKAYYYYYY. This is getting long so I’m just going to end it here. These are all the WIPs that I actively write for so... :)

Y/n sat wrapped in a blanket huddled in the corner with Betty. Jug, Sweet, and FP stood on the other side of the room with the Serpents going over how they can finally bring down Penny. Y/n lay her head on Betty’s shoulder and her eyes began to flutter closed.
“I’ve had enough of this. My kids will no longer pay for Penny’s anger,” FP snarled.
Viper nodded. “So then what do we do?”
“We have to get the word out on the street how serious we are about taking out Penny and Malachai,” Jughead spoke up.
“Then how do we do that?” Fangs asked.
Sweet Pea looked over at FP. “We have to make it known that they are wanted. Dead or Alive and give out a reward for whoever can capture them,”
FP nodded in agreement.
“Get the word out. Let everyone know that we want those two brought in preferably alive, but there will be a reward either way,” Jughead said.
“Start at the deep south and then make your way north,” FP added.
The gang broke apart. The four of them walked over to where Betty and Y/n were both nodding off.
“Let’s get you home,” FP said as he knelt down in front of his daughter.
Y/n shook her head.
“Sweetheart,” FP began.
“I don’t feel safe there,” Y/n said.
“You can come to my place,” Sweet Pea suggested.
Y/n shook her head.
“Penny knows. She knows where you and Fangs live. Hell, she knows where Betty lives,” Y/n said.
“Then we’ll take you to a hotel,” FP said.
“We can’t keep her protected there that’s too open,” Sweet Pea interjected.
Betty piped up. “I know where I can take her,”
All eyes fell on the blond Cooper girl.
“Betty,” Jughead said.
“Do you guys trust me?” Betty asked.
All four men nodded.
“Then let me do this for her, for you guys,” Betty said.
“Go. Just call us if you need anything,” FP said.
Betty nodded. Betty moved so Sweet Pea could take a seat next to his girlfriend. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her in close. He leaned in close so only she could hear what he was saying.
“You have no idea how fucking sorry I am,” Sweet Pea began.
Y/n closed her eyes to keep herself from crying. This wasn’t his fault. None of this was his fault and she hated that he felt this way.
“It’s not your fault,” Y/n whispered.
“I shouldn’t have left you,” Sweet Pea added.
Y/n shook her head fiercely.
“If you were there he would have hurt you Sweet or worse,” Y/n said back.
Sweet Pea pressed a kiss to her temple.
“I hope you know that I’m not going to let anything happen to you ever again. I am personally going to bring Malachai’s head to you on a silver platter,” Sweet Pea promised.
Slowly Y/n nodded.
“Go with Betty and just know that I’m a call away, okay?” Sweet Pea said.
Y/n tilted her head up so she could kiss him softly. FP hugged Betty to thank her for stepping up. Jughead kissed her and asked her if there was anything they needed before they left.
“No, we’ll be okay. But we should get going,” Betty said.
Sweet Pea helped unwrap Y/n from her blanket. The group of men escorted their girls out of the Whyte Wyrm. The girls got into Betty’s car and watched as they disappeared into the night.
“What’s now?” Fangs asked.
“Now we hunt,” FP said.
Sweet Pea looked over at Jug. Jughead knew that Sweet Pea was hurting. That he was fucking angry. He felt it too and he knew that to keep his sister safe to keep Betty and anyone else that he loved safe he was going to have to go full dark. Jughead was really going to have to fill his sons as the Prince of the Serpents.
“Sweets, Fangs, you’re with me,” Jughead said.
“Keep a constant communication,” FP told his son.
“We will,” Jughead replied as the three snakes headed towards their bikes.
“Any word about either of them I want to know,” Sweet Pea said as he pulled on his helmet.
“We’ll get them, boys,” FP said.
“We know,” Jughead said before the three of them pulled away.
Y/n sat forward as Betty pulled up in front a huge iron gate. She looked over at Betty with a curious look.
“She’s family,” Betty said as the iron gate fluttered open.
Betty drove down the drive and pulled up in front of the huge house. Y/n bit her lip nervously as Betty parked. Just as the girls were climbing out of the car the huge oak front door opened revealing two familiar faces.
“Bettykins, Y/n, why such a late visit?” Cheryl asked.
Toni hopped down the stairs but stopped when she saw the look on Y/n’s face.
“What happened?” Toni asked.
“Let’s take this inside,” Cheryl suggested when she could see the exhaustion on her cousins face.
The four girls said nothing as they entered the huge house. Cheryl lead the girls into the kitchen. She put on a pot of coffee.
“Y/n, what happened?” Toni asked as she noticed the fresh bruises and scrapes.
“Malachai attacked her,” Betty said calmly, she knew if she started to get worked up that Toni would go on the defense.
“What?” Toni shrieked before pulling Y/n in for a hug.
Cheryl came to stand next to Betty.
“It was bad if we hadn’t shown up when we did,” Betty trailed off.
Cheryl’s heart broke.
“And what are your criminal boyfriends going to do?” Cheryl asked.
“Take care of it,” Y/n’s voice was hoarse.
“Cheryl,” Betty interjected before Y/n could have a breakdown that she was definitely in need of. “Can we stay here for a few days?”
Cheryl pursed her lips. “Mi casa es su casa,”
Y/n let out a sigh of relief.
“Mommy and evil Uncle Claudius have been banned to one of the barns for now. So Nana Rose, Toni, and I would love to have some guests,” Cheryl said.
“Thank you, Cheryl,” Y/n said.
“Of course, now let’s get you two upstairs. You both are in need of a hot shower and some fresh clothes,” Cheryl replied.
The four girls headed upstairs. Betty insisted on Y/n taking a shower first. Toni helped her friend get undressed and into the hot water. When Y/n insisted on being alone, Toni kept the bathroom door cracked before going back into Cheryl’s room.
Cheryl was sitting next to Betty on the bed. The blonde wiped away a few tears as Cheryl brushed some of her hair out of her face.
“How did this happen?” Toni asked gently
“We were all at Pops, but Juggie and I had plans with Kevin. So we left Y/n and Sweet Pea. Fangs called Sweet Pea with an issue, so Sweet Pea left Y/n at Pops and she called us for a ride,” Betty began.
Toni clenched her fists in anger. Cheryl instinctively placed her hand on top of Toni’s.
“Sweet Pea called Jughead and told him that we needed to get to Y/n. It was a trap for Sweet Pea and Fangs as in there was no problem wherever the two of them ended up. We knew instantly that it was a trap for Y/n,” Betty added.
Toni gently pulled her hand from Cheryl’s as she began to pace back and forth.
“By the time we got there, Malachai was trying to,” Betty trailed off.
“Please tell me that piece of shit is dead?” Toni snarled.
Betty shook her head.
“We had him, but he outsmarted us. He took down Sweet Pea and Fangs. Shoved Jughead into me and Y/n and got away,” Betty answered.
“Shit,” Toni cursed.
“Relax,” Cheryl whispered to her.
“So what’s going on? What is FP up to?” Toni asked.
“They’re on the hunt for Penny and Malachai. They are putting out the word that the Serpents want them, dead or alive,” Betty explained.
“Toni, why don’t you call one of your Serpent friends and see if they need you to do anything,” Cheryl suggested.
Toni nodded, snapped up her phone from the dresser and then disappeared from the bedroom. Cheryl returned her attention back to her cousin.
“How are you doing?” Cheryl asked.
Betty turned her big blue eyes up to her friend.
“I’m scared out of my mind, Cheryl. I know I signed up for stuff like this when I agreed to be with Jughead, but this is hitting too close to home. Y/n is my friend. I care about her and to see her,” Betty stopped talking to keep herself from crying.
Cheryl placed a gentle arm around her cousin.
“We’ll deal with this,” Cheryl started. “You two are more than welcome to stay here as long as it takes to capture those two monsters,”
Betty nodded.
“Y/n hasn’t said much, I’m worried about her,” Betty said.
“I’m sure she’s in shock. She and I might not see eye to eye on a few things, but her and I used to be close when we were younger. She’ll come around, I know her,” Cheryl reassured her cousin.
Betty nodded.
Both girls looked up when the bathroom door opened up. Y/n stood there in a towel. Soaking wet, dripping water on Cheryl’s carpet. Cheryl didn’t light into her about dripping water all over her expensive floor. Instead, Cheryl stood, walked over to her dresser and pulled out a pair of pajamas.
“Here, change into these,” Cheryl said.
“Thanks,” Y/n said taking the pajamas and then disappeared into the bathroom once again.
“When she comes out go take a shower and relax. Let Toni and I take care of Y/n while you unwind,” Cheryl ordered.
After Toni came back to join them, Cheryl and Toni got Y/n out of the bathroom and Betty in. Y/n didn’t say a word or put up a fight when Cheryl forced her down on the bed and began drying her hair. Toni slipped downstairs to put together a tray of snack for the girls.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Cheryl asked when they were alone.
Silence filled the room for several long minutes.
“I’m mad,” Y/n finally broke the silence.
“You have every right to be,” Cheryl replied.
“I’m mad at myself,” Y/n finished.
Cheryl dropped the wet towel on the floor.
“Now why are you mad at yourself?” Cheryl asked.
“Because I wasn’t strong enough to fight him off,” Y/n said.
Cheryl picked up the brush.
“Sometimes, no matter how strong we are it isn’t enough, but that’s not our fault,” Cheryl told her.
“I’m FP Jones’ daughter. I’m the Princess, the goddamn heir to the Serpents, and I couldn’t even protect myself from an enemy,” Y/n snarled.
Cheryl grabbed Y/n by her shoulders and turned her so she was staring at Cheryl. Cheryl narrowed her blue eyes at her.
“You can’t always be the strongest one. You can’t always have a game plan ready to take down any kind of enemy you or your family may have. And yes, you are your father’s princess and the heir to this infamous gang, but Y/n, that doesn’t mean you can’t be weak,”
“A piece of shit human being decided that his wants and needs were more important than your safety and your mental health. You cannot blame yourself for this. That rat decided to prey upon you, but that was his mistake wasn’t it? I can see your hands Y/n, you fought back. You weren’t just rolling over. You fought back, sure he was probably stronger than you, but you weren’t giving up and not letting him win,” Cheryl said.
The tears began to roll down Y/n’s cheeks. Cheryl gracefully wiped her face clean for her. Betty came out of the bathroom dressed in the pajamas that Cheryl had given her. She had heard most of what Cheryl had said. Walking over she joined the girls on the bed. She lay her head on Y/n/s back and Y/n began to sob.
Toni came back into the bedroom, she placed the tray of snacks on the dresser and then dropped down on the floor in front of her. She took Y/n’s hands in hers and gently rubbed the back of them with her thumb. The three girls let Y/n cry everything out.
When her tears finally dried up, Toni handed her a kleenex.
“Thank you,” Y/n said.
Cheryl gave her a soft smile. “That’s what friends are for,”
“Do you want to talk about it?” Betty asked.
“No, I don’t want to think about it anymore,” Y/n said.
“Then you won’t we can distract you,” Toni said with a smile.
“Cheryl can finish your hair, Toni and I can finish getting the snack around and pick some movies,” Betty suggested.
Y/n nodded. Cheryl helped turn her back around as Toni and Betty went off in a search for some movies. Cheryl brushed out your hair and then braided it down your back. Toni and Betty returned a few minutes later with a stack of movies in hand. The four girls climbed into Cheryl’s giant bed just as the first movie began to play.
As the night went on, the girls dropped off one by one. Y/n was the first one to fall asleep with her head in Betty’s lap and her legs dangling off the side of the bed. Betty dropped off next, her phone still in hand with an unsent good night text to Jug, Toni was laid curled up next to Cheryl. Her head resting on her chest and Cheryl played with her hair.
When her girlfriend and friends were fast asleep, Cheryl turned the tv off and curled into her girlfriend. With a small smile on her lips and one last look at the girls in her bed, Cheryl fell into a peaceful sleep.
Across town, Jughead, Sweet Pea, and Fangs pulled off into Pops. They parked their bikes and headed in just as the rain began. Pops was already gone for the night and the diner was empty.
“We close in an hour,” Rafe said from the kitchen.
“We’ll be out by then,” Fangs said as the three filled up a booth.
“Do you guys want anything?” Sally asked.
“Our usual milkshakes and a couple baskets of fries,” Jughead said.
“Sure thing,” Sally said before leaving the trio.
Sweet Pea slammed his fist on the table.
“This isn’t going to cut it for me, Jug,” Sweet Pea said.
Jughead leaned forward towards him.
“Alright, Pea, then what do you want to do?” Jughead asked.
“I want to wrap my hands around that little worm’s neck,” Sweet Pea hissed.
“Why don’t we make that happen?” Fangs suggested.
Sweet Pea and Jughead looked over at him.
“All we have to do is be the first one to find Malachai,” Fangs said.
Sweet Pea looked over at Jughead.
“Can we make that possible?” Sweet Pea asked.
“I don’t see why not, it’s going to affect school and our personal lives,” Jughead said.
“It will upset Betty and Y/n,” Fangs added.
“But if we’re doing it for their safety. He went after Y/n, but once they figure out we are after them they could go after Betty,” Sweet Pea exclaimed.
Sweet Pea and Fangs looked to Jughead.
“Are you sure you two are up to that?” Jughead asked.
“We don’t really have another choice, Jug,” Fangs said.
“Fine, but let’s go back and rest up. We’ll need to start fresh tomorrow,” Jughead said.
The boys nodded. They finished up their milkshakes and ate all of the fries. They decided to meet back at the Jones’. The trio flew through the streets towards the trailer park. As they slowed and neared Jones’ trailer they saw an unfamiliar truck parked there. The three of them hurried inside to check on FP.
They stormed through the door. Jughead froze causing Fangs and Sweet Pea to crash into his back.
“The fuck dude?” Sweet Pea snarled.
Fangs slapped Sweet Pea to quiet him. The boys looked to see what Jughead was staring at. FP stood in the corner with his arms crossed and a dark look on his face. A lady stood in the middle of the room. Slowly she turned around.
“Hey Juggie,” She greeted.
“Mom?” Jughead whispered.

Return To Riverdale Part 1
*Hey y'all! I'm finally writing this fanfic that I promised @aserpentsslut. This is my first time writing about a character other than Sweet Pea so hopefully it goes well. This will be a multi part fanfic and I will do more installments in the future. I don't know how to insert links to other chapters but I will in the future once I learn(y'all are welcome to message me and tell me how lol). Hope this doesn't suck!*
The last box was finally carried out of your room by the movers and loaded into the moving van. You and your mom were moving back to Riverdale from Greendale, where you had been leaving when she was dating this guy that lived there. Now, they had split and you were finally moving back to the town you called home. You missed your friends from the Southside terribly: Toni, Fangs, Sweet Pea, and Jughead. You had basically lost contact with them when you moved and you were worried that they had moved on and completely forgotten about you, after all, it had been about five years. Enough time to move on and make new friends. Also, they had all joined the Serpents probably, so that would be another strain on your relationship with them. You wished your mom had never moved the two of you to Greendale just to be near her boyfriend, Beaux. He should have been the one to move, not allow your family to be uprooted because he couldn't be bothered. Now you would never know where that kiss you shared with Fangs might have gone. The night before you left Riverdale, you and Fangs snuck out to hang out at the quarry, where you two ended up sharing your first kiss. It was sloppy and awkward, but it still sent chills down your spine. Even years later, you longed to see him again, you longed to know if he still felt that way about you.
You got in the car with your mom and began the journey to Riverdale. It wasn't far, probably about half an hour. In the car, your mom asked you if you were looking forward to seeing your friends again. You said you hoped they still considered themselves your friends after five years. You knew your mom felt bad about the huge disruption that the move had caused in your life. When you finally got to your old house, you immediately felt at home. Your house was fairly small, it only had two bedrooms, but it was enough for the two of you. Best part was that it was right next to the trailer park where your friends lived. You lived about five minutes away from the Jones's trailer, which was where you decided to go first. You had heard that FP had recently been released from prison and he would be happy to see you back in Riverdale, you used to play around the trailer with Jughead all the time when you were in elementary school. You knocked on the door, crossing your fingers that they would be home. The door opened and Jughead stood in the doorway. He looked so different, yet the same as the last time you saw him in sixth grade. He still wore his beanie, and his hair was still wavy and messy. However, he had still changed quite a bit. For one, he was at least a foot taller and he was no longer a scrawny little kid. He had muscles now! He had pretty defined biceps as well as washboard abs. When he saw you, the widest smile spread across his face and he immediately enveloped you in a bone-crushing hug.
"Oh my god y/n, I have missed you so much, it's been so long!!!" he exclaimed. "Dad!!! It's y/n!!!". FP's head popped out from behind a corner.
"Y/n, so nice to see you!" he said. "Come on in, I want to hear all about Greendale,".
You came in and sat down in their cramped living room with FP and Jughead sitting on either side of you. One at a time, they eagerly asked you questions about how lame Greendale was, and about Beaux. You had mostly bad things to say about Greendale, a lot of drugs and gangs, it was about ten times worse than the Southside, and none of the gangs were like the Serpents. Eventually, FP wandered into the kitchen to make (read:order) dinner, leaving you and Jughead alone. Jug seemed to be elated that you were back. You were relieved that your childhood playmate had not completely moved on and forgotten about you. You hoped that the same went for the rest, especially Fangs. You glanced furtively at the kitchen to make sure FP wasn't listening before scooting a little closer to Jughead.
"So, have the others forgotten about me?" you asked in a low voice.
"What do you mean y/n?" he said. "We haven't forgotten about you, I mean sure things have changed a little and we have a million other things on our minds, but we still remember you. In fact, we were all sharing a memory just the other day about when you got that new Barbie castle and you wanted us to all play with you and we didn't want to because Barbie is stupid and you started crying".
"And then Sweet Pea was making fun of me because everything in my room was pink and girly and he thought it was gross," you smiled at the memory, Sweet Pea had really hurt your feelings and you didn't forgive him for a whole week. It was only when he came to your house with these hideously decorated cupcakes that looked like a pink unicorn threw up on them. He had made them himself, his first and only attempt at baking. You had to give him credit, the kid was seven. He brought you the cupcakes and offered to play Barbies with you.
"For the record," Jughead said. "I think it's a cute memory, you getting all mad because nobody liked your pink dollhouse,".
"Speaking of the group.." you began. "Does Fangs ever talk about me?".
"Well, not more than anyone else does, why? Jughead asked.
"Do you promise not to laugh?" you ask.
"Okay, fine. Now tell me!" he begged.
"So, the night before I left, Fangs and I snuck out to the quarry to hang out...and we kissed," you said ducking your head in embarrassment. Jughead's face fell, but you didn't notice and continued.
"It was probably nothing. It's just that I've been thinking about this for years and I can't help but wonder if he still does too. I wonder if he still has those feelings for me," you say wistfully.
"If he does have those feelings still, would you be happy about it?" asked Jughead. A chill ran through your spine. You had never kissed anyone except Fangs and you cringed at how awkward it was, you wanted to do it again, properly this time.
"Yes, I do want him to like me, I guess," you told Jughead, relieved that you were finally able to confide in someone about this. "Jug, what's he like nowadays?".
"Well he has gotten really buff, and he wears his Serpent jacket all the time. He and Sweet Pea never take them off," he said.
"That's just like them, they were always fiercely loyal," you say admiringly. "Is he handsome?" you ask giggling. Jughead blushes a deep crimson and laughs awkwardly.
"Well, I've never looked at him like that, but I suppose I could see the appeal," Jughead says. "He and Sweets get lots of attention, total ladies men,".
"Oh, then maybe he has forgotten me then if he goes through that many girls," you say, discouraged.
"Hey, I didn't mean it like that, I really think you might have a chance with him," Jughead said, feeling guilty that he made you upset.
"No, really, I shouldn't have assumed he still liked me. I'm the one who needs to let it go, it's been five years," you say, wiping away a tear. Jughead wrapped his arm around you and pulled you close, letting your head rest on his chest. It felt nice, it reminded you of when you were kids and you all used to huddle together and watch movies. Or the times when you guys made a fort in your living room and it was a tight fit to get all five of you in. You hadn't felt this close to any of your friends in a long time. You just wanted to be eight again, playing tag with Jughead outside his trailer, sneaking candy from the kitchen with Fangs, experimenting with hideous purple eyeshadow with Toni, arguing with Sweet Pea over who got the last cherry popsicle...those were the simple days. You wished for than anything to go back and savor them. Heck, you would rather eat a thousand grape popsicles with Sweet Pea if it meant you could run away from your problems. What if your friends weren't your friends anymore? How would you fit in at school? Would your mom ever move you again? These were big kid problems that you didn't have to worry about when it was just the five of you.
"You could go visit him if you want," Jughead offered.
"What?" you asked, snapping out of your trance.
"Fangs, I mean. I know he'll be so happy to see you, even if it isn't romantic. No matter what, you still have your friends, you still have me, you will always have me," he promised. You looked up at him and met his gaze. He had the same kind eyes that he always had, and you were so grateful that he hadn't moved on without you. Hopefully the others would feel the same. Tomorrow, you would reunite with the rest of the group and hopefully be able to clear things up with Fangs about that kiss. You so desperately hoped that he still liked you, but for now you just lay on your best friend's chest, totally unaware that with each passing minute, Jughead Jones was falling deeper and deeper in love with you.
*Okay so that didn't suck as much as I thought, I'm just winging it here😂. I know it doesn't seem focused on a relationship with Jughead but it's going to be a bit of a slow burn. I'll write the next installment as soon as I can*

Tumblr media

Fandom: Riverdale Pairing: Sweet Pea/OC Rating: T Word count: 2193 + 129 bonus Chapter count: 11/15
                                                        Delirium
Sweet Pea woke up to the buzzing of his phone. He groggily rolled over, grabbing it from the other side of the bed and struggling to unlock the cracked screen for a moment. Then, he managed to focus his vision with a few blinks and read the text.
I’ll be over in a few.
“Shit.” Sweet Pea cursed, realizing what day it was. Saturday and it was well after noon when Ruby had told him she’d call to arrange their study date. And, she had called. Fifteen times, in fact. Not to mention that she’d sent him quite a few texts, ranging from ‘are you still asleep?’ to ‘are you alive?’. Sweet Pea groaned and texted her back, telling her that he was awake now and to come over and bring some food.
He struggled to get up, his limbs a bit heavy and head pounding. But, he figured that it was all because of last night’s Toni’s bright idea to try and climb one of the trees by the quarry in her semi-drunken state for the perfect position for her picture. That, in turn, had resulted in Sweet Pea having to go up halfway in his slightly inebriated state and help her get down once she’d taken her photos. He felt the scrapes on his hands as he washed his face and brushed his teeth before Ruby came over. One glance in the mirror told him that he looked like hell. Drinking was bad, Sweet Pea repeated to himself, as he usually did after a night out with the Serpents.
But, it wasn’t just the usual grogginess of drinking that was slowing him down. As he went around the living room of his trailer, collecting some of his discarded worn clothes, he felt a heat on his face and a tightness in his throat that weren’t common after drinking a lot. But, he would make do with a cup of hot coffee and he would bounce right back, the biker was certain. He hadn’t managed to collect all of his dirty laundry before there was a knock on his door. His head pounded.
“Coming,” Sweet Pea wobbled over to the door, opening it and leaning on the metal doorway, enjoying the feeling of the cool surface against his forehead. “Hey.” He greeted the petite girl on his porch. Ruby’s eyebrows were furrowed.
“Hey,” she greeted back and stepped inside when he moved. “You don’t look so good. Are you okay?” She asked.
“I’m fine. You got some breakfast?” Sweet Pea replied, going to the living area and plopping down on the couch. He immediately felt better when he was off his feet. Ruby came over, giving him a bag from Pop’s and looking at him intently as he opened it. “What?” Sweet Pea asked.
“You really don’t look good.” She told him with a worried look.
“That’s what every guy wants to hear from a hot girl, cupcake.” Sweet Pea tried to brush her off with a comment that he knew would spike her temper, but Ruby was a woman on a mission. As he dug into his cheeseburger, she placed her hand on his forehead.
“You’re a little hot. Where’s your thermometer?” Sweet Pea’s head was pounding, despite her soft tone.
“Haven’t got one. And, I thought I was a lot hot?” He gave her a cheeky grin.
“Crappy flirting won’t get you out of me taking your temperature.” Ruby gave him a stern look which made him groan. The cheeseburger tasted like carton in his mouth, but he still swallowed.
“Please, I’m fine. It’s just a little hangover,” Ruby’s glare intensified. “A little one. Besides, you came over to study.” The girl dug out her cell phone and moved away without saying anything, her fingers typing away on the keyboard. Sweet Pea focused on eating as quickly as possible, both to get through the tasteless food and to hide his lack of appetite from the girl. If she noticed that, she would definitely go all Dr. House on him, diagnosing a zebra instead of looking for the horse. She was a worrywart and tended to assume the worst first.
“I’ll be right back,” Ruby told him and left the trailer. Sweet Pea sighed while she was out, wrapping the rest of his burger up and rising to place it in the fridge. He would get to it later. Before he could return to his spot on the couch, Ruby was back. “Here, Toni lent me hers. Take your temperature or I will.” She sternly told him.
“You’re cute when you’re bossy, you know?” Sweet Pea tried to distract the girl again, his arms coming to her shoulders, but Ruby’s hand rose in between them, the thermometer stopping his attempt to kiss her and successfully distract her.
“Do you really want to go down this road with me, Sweet Pea?” She asked in a warning tone. “I will dropkick you into bed and tie you up, if necessary.” Obviously, flirting wasn’t getting him anywhere, so he abandoned the tactic. He took the thermometer.
“I thought that we were going to study?” He asked, placing the tip in his ear and pressing the button. It took a few moments for the automatic thermometer to beep and he took it out. He was running a slight fever. Ruby pointedly looked at him. “Fine, here.” Sweet Pea gave her the thermometer. The girl read the number and her frown deepened.
“Bed. Now.” She instructed him.
“Oh, come on, Ruby, I’m fine.” He tried to protest. However, her small hands grasped his shirt and she pushed him back, guiding him backwards into his room. Sweet Pea’s knees hit the edge of his bed and he allowed the girl to push him down and cover him with his blanket.
“You’re not going to be doing anything in this state.” She adamantly told him.
“So, let me get this straight,” Sweet Pea grumbled from his pillow as she made sure that he was tucked in well. “You can bulldoze through finals with a fever and a cough, but I can’t study with a cold?” Ruby immediately stopped tucking in the sides of his blanket around him and he honestly thought that she would hit him. But, her expression was soft in the dim sunlight which poured through his bedroom blinds.
“These aren’t the finals, Sweet Pea,” she told him, brushing his hair back from his forehead gently. “Now, will you let me take care of you without protesting or do I have to bring back-up?” Sweet Pea paled at the thought of back-up. She could only mean Toni and Fangs. Or, worse, she could call FP. Neither option appealed to him in his groggy state.
“I’m going to be good, I promise.” He told her cheekily. With a slight smile, Ruby bent down, kissing his forehead gently.
“Then, get some sleep while I go grab you some medicine and head to the store.” Sweet Pea wanted to ask what she was going to buy, but the warmth of his blanket being wrapped up around his body so snugly and the soft smile Ruby was giving him were too much. He drifted off.
Sweet Pea remembered waking up at odd times, fairly vaguely. His fever had spiked, even more, making him more than a little delirious. He could recall Ruby propping him up and giving him some pills and water. He could also remember opening his eyes and smelling something nice cooking. He could definitely recollect spying Ruby going around his room in the dark, collecting things from here and there. He wasn’t sure if it was a dream or not, but when she noticed him watching, she dropped her task and came over, talking to him in a soft voice about something he couldn’t remember, holding his hand and kissing his forehead gently.
The first thing that Sweet Pea could recall well with certainty was Ruby waking him up with a bowl of hot soup. She’d arranged his pillows so that he could sit up and eat, before tucking him back into his blankets. And, the next thing he remembered very well was waking up and calling for her, only to have her rush into the doorway of his bedroom and smile at him brightly. Then, she’d sat behind him, letting him lay his head down on her stomach as she played with his hair and talked to him in soft tones.
Sweet Pea couldn’t remember a better time in his life. Sure, he was sick. But, for once, someone was taking care of him and not the other way around. His mother hadn’t been the caring kind. In fact, she’d been the whiskey bottle and cigarettes kind. And, his father had been overseas serving most of the time. When he was sick, Sweet Pea had been left to figure it out on his own. He would go to the pharmacy alone, get his medicine and hope that it worked quickly. He hadn’t counted on Toni or Fangs to help, even when they’d offered. His friends had other things to do other than to take care of a boy with a cold or the flu. He didn’t want to be a bother. Besides, Sweet Pea could take care of himself. He was always fine.
But, not to Ruby. She wouldn’t take no for an answer. She took care of him on her own time, with surprising gentleness. All in all, a small part of Sweet Pea was happy that he was sick, for once in his life. He didn’t have to worry about his mother drinking herself unconscious and dropping her cigarette. Instead, he had a girl making him chicken soup in the kitchen. He didn’t have to lie to Toni and Fangs and tell them that he had plans for the evening, while he was shivering in his bed. Instead, he had a girl who wouldn’t go away even when he’d asked her and said that he would be fine after sleeping it off.
That was the moment Sweet Pea was absolutely certain, one hundred percent, that he was completely and utterly in love with Ruby Wolfe. And, in his groggy mind, the realization didn’t scare him one bit. In fact, he welcomed it like an old friend, happy to finally see them. The panic set in the next morning, when his head cleared.
Sweet Pea got up, feeling his forehead. It was covered in a layer of dried sweat, but a normal temperature. He was surprised to be able to walk through his bedroom without any trouble, no clothes were strewn about messily on the floor. Next, he headed for the living room of his trailer, seeking out his caretaker. On his way, he noted that every surface of his home had been cleaned and tidied up meticulously. Curiously, he peeked into the kitchen, seeing it sparkling. Giving in, Sweet Pea opened the fridge, finding it full, for once. Fruits, vegetables and a number of Tupperware containers sat on the shelves, replacing cold pizza, wrapped up burgers and beer bottles. Ruby had obviously made herself at home.
He found the girl in question in his living room, sitting on the couch and folding his freshly washed clothing on the coffee table neatly.
“Hey,” she got up as soon as she saw him, abandoning her task. “How’s your head? Do you feel hot? Groggy?” She was instantly in front of him, hand rising to touch his forehead gently. Sweet Pea didn’t reply, instead ducking down and kissing her lips, hard.
“I love you, Ruby.” He told her when they parted, making her cheeks redden.
“Uh-um-w-wait, what?” She stammered, so Sweet Pea kissed her again, his arms wrapping around her petite form. For a moment, she was too shell-shocked to accept his affection, but she quickly recovered, her hands coming to grip the back of his shirt gently and her lips moving against his in soft motions.
“I said that I love you.” Sweet Pea told her in a soft whisper when he was done thoroughly kissing her.
“Oh,” Ruby said, breathless, a dazed expression on her face. “I guess… I love you, too?” She returned.
“Why is it ‘I guess’?” Sweet Pea groaned. “And, why is it a question?” He laughed, making her dissolve into giggles.
“I don’t know! You didn’t exactly give me any thinking time here!” She protested, making him groan again.
“You need to think about it?” He sounded exasperated. There was a coy smile on her lips then and Sweet Pea groaned again. She was teasing him, as always.
“Oh, I knew I pretty much loved you from the moment I told you that I’d get that tea with you,” Ruby said with conviction. “I just liked watching you squirm and try and figure out your own feelings.”
“Jesus, don’t you know that it’s not nice to tease a sick man? Some might even consider it cruel, in fact.” Sweet Pea chuckled.
“Sick people should stay in bed.” Ruby’s eyes connected with his, telling him that it wasn’t a request at all. Sweet Pea groaned again, but obediently headed back for his room, Ruby in tow.
Oh, gosh… That’s all for now… I wanted to something a bit more Sweet Pea, from the last chapter, which was very Ruby-centric :D

Sweet Pea: What for?
Ruby: Your idiotic ass kissed me while you were sick and now I’m sick and dad’s out for a week on a job.
Sweet Pea: I’ll be over in a few.
Ruby: Thanks.
Sweet Pea hopped up from his seat at the Whyte Wyrm booth, grabbing his keys from the table and tossing a few bills in the middle of their drinks.
“Where are you going?” Fangs asked, looking between Sweet Pea and his unfinished drink.
“Gotta return a favor.” The tall biker told his friends and headed out with a small smile on his face. He didn’t know how to prepare chicken soup, but he knew where he could get some to go.
Now, I’m done ;)

Sweet Pea//Cheater
Request: Can you do a sweet pea cheating imagine were he cheats on fp jones daughter?
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
Part 7
“Hey Jughead, what’s up?” You asked your brother on the other end of the phone.
“You need to come down to the Wyrm now. And Y/n. I’m sorry.” He replied sadly before hanging up. You looked down at your phone confused, which caught the attention of your father who was sat next to you on the sofa.
“Whats up sweetheart?” He asked concerned.
“I dunno. Jughead said that I needed to go to the Wyrm. It sounded quite urgent and then he said that he was sorry before hanging up.” You replied confused.
“I’ll give you a lift. I need to do some business there anyway.” He offered and smiled, trying to take your mind off it, so you wouldn’t worry. The drive to the Wyrm was nice, you talked about each others day and what the serpents were up to. What you and Sweet Pea were going to be doing at the weekend as he had promised you a date to celebrate your three year anniversary, but you didn’t know what it was, as he was keeping it a secret. Your dad liked Sweet Pea. At first he wasn’t sure about you dating because of obvious reasons, but then he got to know him and realised that he would never do anything to hurt you. So he warmed to him and then eventually accepted the idea of you two dating. However he had threatened him a lot before he said it was okay. He had told him that he didn’t care about the serpent rules, if he hurt his daughter he would most definitely pay for it.
Both of you stepped out of the car and started towards the bar where Toni was stood outside waiting for you. An older serpent had distracted your dad so he told you to go in without you and he wouldn’t be long. You approached Toni with a bright smile on your face but that soon faded when you noticed the sorry look on her face.
“Whats up Topaz?” You asked worried about your friend. “Is this something to do with Jughead. He rang me asking me to come down straight away.”
“I’m sorry Y/n.” She replied and led you into the bar. You looked around for a moment to see what was so terrible that everyone was apologizing to you for and why you had to get here so urgently, then you saw it. And it felt like your entire world had been ripped apart. Near the pool table was your boyfriend of almost three years kissing another girl. He hadn’t seem to have noticed the silence in the bar, the fact that Fangs was trying to get his attention or your presence.
“Y/n.” Jughead stood beside you and placed a hand on your shoulder. “I tried to stop him. We all did but he just pushed us all off. I only got here two minutes before I  rang and I was going to punch him but I thought you would want to do that first. Toni heard someone say they have been seeing each other for the past couple of months.” He explained as tears ran down your face. You gave your entire heart to that boy and he had managed to break it in a matter of seconds. You thought he loved you.
“Y/n. Why did Jughead want you here so urgently.” Your dad asked loudly as he walked into the bar, he expected the place to be as loud as it always was but it was silent. He looked to where everyone was staring and saw Sweet Pea kissing someone that definitely wasn’t his daughter. At the sound of hearing your dad say your name Sweet Pea quickly turned around and pushed himself away from the girl, but it was too late. You had seen enough. You turned away, quickly wiping the tears from your face, Jughead quickly following.
“Y/N.” Sweet Pea shouted after you but you continued to walk. Your dad and Fangs had stood by the door so Sweet Pea couldn’t follow you. Toni ran after you and Jughead and got into your dads truck with the two of you. Once Fp had checked that you were gone he dragged Sweet Pea into his office, telling Fangs to keep an eye on everything and especially the girl that Sweet Pea had been kissing.
The drive home wasn’t anything like the drive to the Wyrm. There was no happy thoughts about the secret date Sweet Pea had planned. There wasn’t any thoughts about how much he was going to like his present. You had got him one of those star maps of the night you two got together because he had asked you out at after a day at the quarry, under the stars. He also had a secret love of astrology but he swore you to secrecy about that. He said it wouldn’t look good for his image. You had been lying on an uncomfortable rock looking up at the sky. Toni and Fangs had gone home, but you both decided to stay. You were sat in silence just looking up when he pointed out a constellation, and then another one and another one. You smiled at him and listened to him rambling about the stars and the stories behind their names. He asked you to be his girlfriend in the middle of his ramblings, you think that he did that so you wouldn’t notice but you said yes straight away and then kissed him. You could have sworn you had never seen his smile so bright, well that was until tonight when he was looking at the other girl in-between kisses. You swear you could hear your heart break.
“Y/n.” You were pulled out of your thoughts by Toni shaking your shoulder slightly. “We’re here.” She smiled sadly and you returned it before getting out of the truck and walking up the steps, into the trailer. Jughead was already in there pacing the kitchen muttering to himself. Toni put the TV on and flipped through the channels until she found a show that you liked.
“I’m going to kill. I’m actually going to kill him. Serpent or no serpent he is a dead man.” He muttered angrily until you stood in front of him to stop him from pacing.
“Please, Jug. Just give me a hug. I don’t want you to go to jail because of him. No offense but I don’t think you are tough enough for prison. For one you would have to take that hat off and I think think that is what controls you. It keeps you alive and once you take it off you become an emotionless robot or something.” You tried to joke and Toni laughed.
Jughead wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer to him, this made you cry more, each sob was harder than the last but he just held you. You think at some point Toni joined in and hugged you too. She pulled away when her phone buzzed.
“Is it okay if I go? Cheryl’s having a crisis with her mother.” She asked a sorry expression on her face.
“Yeah, thats fine. I understand. Tell her I hope everything is okay.” You nodded. You knew how evil Cheryl’s mother was so you didn’t mind Toni leaving. You just wanted Cheryl to be okay.
“Are you sure?” She asked.
“Yes, go.” You smiled through your tears and practically pushed her out of the door.
“I will catch up with you later okay. I promise.” She smiled one last time and then left.
You slumped on the sofa and Jughead sat next to you, a sympathetic look on his face.
“Why don’t we watch your favourite film. I will make some popcorn and we can have other snacks. Forget about that dick, yeah?” He suggested and you smiled at him.
“Yeah. I would like that.” You replied in between sniffles and he smiled back and then quickly got off the sofa and went to the kitchen while you put the film on. About half way through the film Jughead’s phone rang, you paused the movie while he answered.
“Hey Betty. Now isn’t really a good time. Wait really? She did what?” He asked concerned. He then looked at you with a guilty look on his face.
“Go.” You told him quietly.
“I don’t have to.” He replied.
“It sounds urgent. Go. I want to be on my own for a bit, I need to think.” You sadly smiled and he shot you an apologetic look before he left.
“I love you.” He called back into the trailer before closing the door properly and leaving. You watched him drive out of the park and then pressed play on the film again. However there was really no point, you couldn’t hear over yourself crying. How could he do this to you? What did you do wrong? What has she got that you haven’t? You thought he loved you, why did he do this if he loved you? And why do it in front of everyone, where anybody could tell your dad? Just why? How could he do this to you? And it wasn’t just a one time mistake, it had been going on for months.
Your thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. You wondered who it could have been when you noticed that Jughead’s keys were on the bench. You looked out of the window but couldn’t really see anything because of how dark it was, you could hear the rain though and it reflected your mood perfectly. “HOLD ON JUG.” You called as you wiped your face to get rid of your tears. You didn’t want him to know how much you had been crying, you knew he would just feel bad about leaving, and then angry at Sweet Pea and then even more worried about you that he probably already was, but when you checked your face before you answered the door, there was no point. Your eyes were red and your face was blotchy.
You opened the door expecting a wet Jughead standing there complaining about how long it took you to open the door, and how wet he was because he had to drive his bike home in the rain. But what you got was something very different.
“What do you want Sweet Pea?” You asked sadly.

Chilling tales of Riverdale, a crossover fic
Chapter 7 of a old fanfic but stil alive that is a mix of Riverdale, CAOS and Archie horror. Located in season 2 and will have differences with the canon for both shows.I'm more than happy to jump the whole fake love triangle between Betty, Jughead and Toni (because Bughead, Choni and the friendship between girl and boy exists). The same goes for the drama Betty and Veronica. But I give you friendship and sisterhood instead + Cameo surprise. Ps Don't worry, he won't have an Archie x Sabrina but I really liked the comparisons people made between Archie and Harvey, so I put him here. (I'm reserving another parring for Sabrina). Also because we have nothing of Toni's life except that she has a grandfather who is nice but who doesn't live with her and an uncle who is an asshole who locks her out sometimes, I hope the backstory that I will be okay for you. Warning: there is a cannibalism involvement in a scene but it's not graphic, very short and you're free to skip it if it bothers you (It's in Jughead's dream) and in my defense, it's canon in CAOS and a reference to one of Archie Horror's titles.)The creature for its is  a mix between different native American monsters and the real form of witches in the CAOS comic book. Sorry to make my warnings so long.
**********************************************************************************
The routine settled in with Jughead's new roommate; Sabrina kept the place clean, often cooked and was polite to everyone who showed up at the trailer. Jughead had to admit that his presence bothered him a little when Betty came, but Betty refused to do so when Sabrina had offered to spend the night outside for their privacy leashes. The rest of the day, Sabrina was usually away for most of the day, coming back exhausted in the late afternoon or evening and otherwise staying locked in her room even though she tried to be social with the guests. The cat, on the other hand, was a little more complicated: he and Hotdog hate each other or at least Salem didn't like him. If Jughead was honest, the dog would always growl in the presence of the cat, but rather than attempting the attack, the dog would show itself threatening, but back away as soon as the cat approached. If Hotdog had been a puppy or Salem a cat mastodon, he would have understood, but now... At least, like his mistress, Salem seemed to like to travel around the city and Jughead had been surprised to see him sometimes in incongruous places and often with human food in his mouth although he was probably as well fed as them. At least he had a necklace with his name on it, if not the rest of the information. He had also made progress in his Serpent initiation contrary to his investigation into the Blackhood. He had passed the test and was bitten by a snake from which his venom had previously been removed. He would not have a scar according to Toni (most of the others did not) and because Sabrina, despite having sworn many times not to know anything, had nevertheless prepared two bottles labelled respectively: antivenom and repairing cream.
At one point, Jugh had ended up asking:
-Are you still looking for a job?
-Do you have one for me? Because I admit that things are not going well, everyone asks me questions like why I'm not in school or comments on the numbers because it's southside.
-The only place I had found to close then...
-Don't worry, I'm not going to impose more than I expected, and I still have some reserve.
-That's not the problem. I was just thinking you shouldn't have to wait like this. I don't know, maybe ask the snakes to say you're someone's cousin or whatever so you can at least go to school.
-Mmm, the same school where you got beat up, where the drugs are flowing and/or my friends the ghoulies are going? I'll pass through. Far be it from me not to finish high school, but I can recover when everything is settled. And I feel bad about asking your...clan for favors? Say Sabrina hesitant.
-Clan? Repeated Jughead vaguely amused.
-It's more than a gang, I noticed that. I wouldn't call it a family, but....
She had a funny laugh without joy before saying:
- Would you find me strange if you told you that your Serpent remind me of my congregation?
-Actually, yes. Because unless your priest rides a motorcycle....
Sabrina laughed again and Jughead thought he might have some new crumbs of information about the girl.
-It's until... I don't know, the united side against all? Being a weirdness by the other side of town? That even younger members are encouraged to participate? The fact that like you  I too have an important foot with this one?
Jughead understood that he would not have much chance of these questions not looking too sharp and just curious, but he tried anyway.
-I don't know that they had religious tensions in Greendales.
-Oh, that's so ridiculous. I shouldn't have compared myself to you, there are just two congregations: Protestants and we are a variant of Catholicism. It was bloody 300 years ago, but now nobody think about it except us unlike you, I recognize that it's to play the victim.
-What is your legacy in all this?
-My father was a priest before he defrocked to get me. And the rest of the family remained quite involved.
She smiled when she talked about her progenitor, before getting stuffed. As much as Jughead was skeptical as much as he was in comparison, he had a new path to explore.
-It's still a pretty thin link," said Jughead before asking:
-Is that who you want to find? Your father?
Sabrina seemed to realize that she had said too much and retorted:
-Is it that important to you? I would have thought you'd have handled worse right now.
-You live in my house," Jughead coldly recalled.
-I can leave, only on request. I was doing very well on my own.
-I'm trying to help and in case you haven't noticed, there's a killer who...
-I am clearly not his target and I know how to defend myself. In addition, I'm sure my safety is more questionable in a caravan without adult supervision, or members of gangs known for drug trafficking and the kidnapping of at least one teenager regularly come to hang out so LEAVE ME ALONE!
Jughead then heard a loud noise that brought them both back to reality. The young man rushed to the source of the noise, in the kitchen where plaster had begun to crack. Confused, Jughead had just enough time to hear you slam the door. Returning to the main room, he saw that Sabrina had taken off.
-Great, complains Jughead.
Betty didn't know what to do anymore. The black hood had promised her a clue if she cut off ties with her relatives, not to mention her threat on Polly. She probably thought she was protecting her unborn children, but because of Betty, she had a target drawn on her back, especially knowing that the serial killer had no problem getting out of town to find his prey. Not to mention the farm, which Betty didn't trust at all. A commune, my eye, a cult disguise yes! Archie and Kevin were already up to their necks in there, but she could at least protect Jughead and maybe Veronica. Yes, you had to see the threat of the black hood as a blessing in disguise. By pushing Ronnie away, she was keeping her safe, right?
Maybe if she repeats it enough, she'll believe it eventually.
Veronica couldn't be more excited; seeing her old friends in New York could only fill her with joy. She was still disappointed that the Cabots could not be there: according to the last email Alexandra sent, she and her brother had been detained by the university.
-You know us Ronnie darling, we'd come here with a snap of the fingers, but if Alex can finish 2 years before everyone else, he'll do it. And I must spend my classes or at least pretend to find me a young first in an Ivy league for Dad to let me go. But as soon as it's settled, we'll come: I have enough scandals and bottles worthy of the name for everyone (it will impress your country friends). Oh, and Alex says to send the demo of the three little kittens so he can see what he can do!
XOXO
Lexa
She will never change, Veronica thought as she read the message. Is that why she didn't tell him about Archie? Anyway, it was nice of Alex to be willing to help Josie, Valerie and Melody if he could.
At least Nick would be there, and she would die eager to introduce him to her Riverdale friends: Archie, Betty, Josie, Valerie, Melody, Kevin, Cheryl and Reggie. She had also invited Jughead who had refused to have anything planned already, Ethel who her mother would no longer let out because of the black hood (and even more if she knew it was to spend the evening at the Lodges') and the mysterious Sabrina who had politely declined to her frustration, really curious to know more about the girl. Looking back, maybe inviting her to a party full of people she didn't know wasn't the best idea, but she wouldn't give up. Her curiosity was piqued, and she wanted to know more.
How was he going to do that? Archie thought so. Betty had asked him to offer Jughead a break, trying not to hurt him. Why had he even accepted?
(You know why!) His unconsciousness screaming at him. It wasn't just because Betty was a good friend or he was worried about Jugh too. Since that summer, everything had become so complicated: with Betty, with Jughead, with Veronica, with her parents and many others. He didn't want to hurt anyone, and yet he felt like he was hurting everyone unintentionally. And probably was going to do it again because his trackreccod was deeply horrible in there.
He saw Jughead and several young Serpents, he felt angry. He didn't trust them: Joaquim could shout his love from the rooftops for Kevin, he had when he was manipulating when he left, FP loved his son no doubt about it, but it didn't give him a pass for everything he had put on Jugh or his best friend's shoulders: alcoholism, theft, kidnapping, drug trafficking, etc... The situation with Jellybean was not easy for anyone, but it didn't give anyone a pass (including Jughead's mother if it was up to him). Until now their acts of kindness had been rare and often interested... And yet Jughead had thrown himself into their arms without a look back for these former friends. Archie may not have been able to understand what Jughead was going through, but he would be there to help no matter what.
Jugh saw him too and rushed to his friend.
-Archie, you're just in time! I need you! I need you!
Surprisingly, Archie forgot both his primary mission and his resentment at the worried look.
-Of course, what is that...
-Sabrina is missing and I have no idea where she went! I don't have time to look for her, but she left all her things, so she can't be far away.
-Jughead...
-Please, I really can't, but I don't want her to do something stupid! I know Riverdale's is a big town, but she'll come home at least to get her things. At worst, stay by the trailer and tell her it's okay if she doesn't want to talk about it when she gets home? Jughead asked, looking worried.
And Archie Andrew aka Pureheart the mighty gave in.
-All right.
-Thank you again, Archie, I owe you one!
And he moved away to join the young Serpents to Archie's frustration.
Sabrina was lying on Pop's bench, occasionally sucking her milkshake for an hour before putting her head on the table. Focusing on these dark ideas, she did not see the person approaching her.
-What's going on?
-Huh? Says Sabrina surprised when she sees the owner, Pop approaching her. -Uh, yes, sorry, just... tired. I have enough to pay you, don't worry! She continued, searching through her pockets.
She had money in her pockets before she fled Jughead's house. We should go back at some point and choose what to do.
-I have no doubt about that. You can stay until closing if you need to. I'll refill your glass. More caramel?
-Yes, please," smiled Sabrina.
Pop comes back with his milkshake and when Sabrina still wanted to pay for the two milkshakes right away.
-The second one's on the house.
-What?
-It's a promotion, a second milkshake free for all those crazy enough to come back here after the incidents.
-Are you talking about the black hood attacks? Sabrina asked.
-One in the restaurant and another involving volunteer employers. It seems like this place is cursed," says Pop sadly.
Sabrina looked at him silently for a few seconds before answering:
-Or the opposite.
-Pardon?
-The opposite; they survived even if their injuries were extremely serious. No one is in a wheelchair or severely disabled. His other victim can't say the same. It's a chance to survive in such good conditions after such a close encounter with death.
Sabrina put her head on the bench before saying:
-So I don't think this place is cursed, I think it brings good luck, I feel it in my bones. Luck is powerful, but it can't make the bullets disappear. For example, it may result in serious injury rather than death.
Pop stared at the teenager with surprise before laughing and concluding:
-I think we'll have to find a better argument to encourage people to come back, but if someone orders a burger, the house could continue its promotion and offer him an extra ring onion in addition to the French fries.
-I'll think about it, thank you," smiled Sabrina.
The people of this city were definitely welcoming.
Suddenly she heard a noise against the restaurant window and turned around. Salem, sitting on the hood of a car with an obvious mewing and trying it, caught his attention.
(Not today) Sabrina decided, turning around and ignoring the cat. If she was honest, it was small and petty. Salem had it was her rock during her last weeks, but Sabrina was physically, mentally and especially emotionally exhausted. Now she wanted to be a normal teenager eating junk food and pretending everything was fine. Just like old times.
Salem meowed loudly as a sign of challenge before leaving.
Cheryl had continued to peel the box and more particularly the notebook. Written by a certain Narcisse Blossom (bravo for having succeeded in mixing the two favorite themes for first names in the Blossom clan: flowers and Greek mythology). The first Blossom arrived in America with his family and his servants straight from the old English nobility, nothing more than WASP. Understood the fact that he left his beloved England because of scandal.
Her notebook was not exactly a diary, but Cheryl found some interesting information in it. He seemed to have had a strong influence on the region even before the town of Riverdale was founded: an iron fist, charisma and an incredible business acumen. Once again, all the most common things he had about the Blossoms.
But that didn't prevent the misfortune of the strike and he almost lost control. It was at this point that two things began to come back more often: the village on the other side of the Sweet River that would become Greendale and the name Sara Spellman.
Spellman? Wasn't that the name on the wedding photo?
Before she could continue, Cheryl heard the sound of a door opening violently, making her jump.
Would it be paranoid of him to pass by and look for his bow before he saw who dared to disturb her?
Archie wondered what he was going to do: find another opportunity to carry Betty's message to Jughead, find Sabrina and find a way not to hit the first Serpent in the face that fell under his hand.
But one of his problems was going to be solved...
-MEOW!!!!!
Archie looked down at the black cat who was now at his feet.
-Hey, hello there," he said, bending over to confirm his suspicions.
Around the cat's neck, a red necklace with a medal or the name Salem was visible. If he was there, chances are Sabrina wasn't far away.
As Archie bent down to caress him, Salem moved a little further before reuniting him a little further.
-Hey, you don't have to be afraid.
These words were stupid because the cat must not have understood it and now that Archie was observing it, it didn't seem to scare him. More annoying and full of contempt...a normal cat look is enough. But Archie noticed that the cat stayed in sight and was waiting for him.
(He wants me to follow him?). A dog, Archie would have understood, but a cat? Maybe it was true that cats are as smart as dogs, they are just too proud to be trained.
Salem guided him to Pop's chocolate shop and started meowing again under one of the windows where he saw Sabrina. Of course, the cat couldn't come in. Archie bent over to flatter the cat who this time if he let it.
-Do you want her back outside? No problem, I must talk to her anyway.
It may have been a play of light, but Archie felt as if the cat rolled his eyes. He came home anyway, trying to silence the impression that he was running out of air. Remain calm, greeted Pop who was in no way responsible for the whole situation and suffers as much as he does before going to the table or eating blonde.
-Hi!
Sabrina jumped, almost choking.
-Archie? Oh, it's been a long time. I didn't think I'd see you here, but please sit down," she said, pushing her plate towards him.
-Thank you, I’m here because Jughead asked me for help to find you.
Sabrina then had an expression of discomfort that combed herself on her face:
-Ah. He is...
-Worried. I don't know what happened between you two....
-Nothing! Just... just a fight. I guess we both have our nerves on edge. I'm not going to act like I'm not a burden.
-The little I've seen, you don't seem to be a burden. Jughead wanted to look for you, but he couldn't have caused...
-From his initiation! Oh, that's right, it's today! Oh shit, I must get everyone ready! She said in a panic.
-Are you going to participate? ask shocked Archie.
-Unofficially, I have no idea what's going on in the past because it's only for members, but I'll just prepare a few things just in case. Never heard of an initiation genre that doesn't physically, mentally or emotionally destroy you, so I want to have a first aid kit, the complete series of twilight zone downloads and enough comfort food for an army.
Archie reprimanded himself, which made Sabrina feel obliged to ask:
-You don't have any plans, do you?
-What are you talking about?
-You and the red circle, you're not going to follow them or something like that?
-There is no more red circle, we had to dissolve.
-Oh, sorry.
-No problem. But I still can't believe Jughead decided to join them," Archie said with cold anger.
-He probably has his reasons. I'm not enthusiastic, but I don't trust any gang, brotherhood, commune, fraternity or anything that involves going through trials and following up on settlements.
-Are you including the American Scouts in this?
-Yes! 2nd organization with the most sexual assault on children reporter, laughs Sabrina. -Note that maybe I shouldn't be so judgmental; my decision making is far from being the best.
-Do you count the fact that you came to Riverdale?
-Only the period when I arrived, people are mostly nice here, I think.
-Including the Serpents?
-I didn't have a brunch with the whole gang. I saw maybe five, six if you count the dog and I didn't even interact with all of them. I tend to prefer to stay in the room when people come. In order: Hot dog, the dog is nice even if he and Salem hate each other. There's a kid who came 2 or 3 times to see a hot dog, I don't know his name anymore and I'm not sure he saw me. There's also a guy with a really original nickname, Tall Boy who was his father's right-hand man who didn't see me either. It's tense between him and Jughead, probably because as his right-hand man, he would have taken Mr. Jones' place, but many hope the son will be in charge until he returns. I'd be suspicious if I were him. And the three with whom I interacted....
Sabrina sighed before continuing:
-Toni is incredible and she really wants Jughead's good, I don't doubt it for a second, but I think we're too like get along ironically. And if she started, I am the one who burned any chance of progress when she tried to reconcile," she says with regret.
-Fang looks like a bully, but if you dig hard enough, there's something fluffy and pink that just wants to be loved and surprisingly cultivated. And finally, Sweet Peas, whose real name is Olivier, also looks like also looks like a shallow brute... but that's because he is, she said, smiling at Archie.
-Seriously, this guy is a mean fool! Admiring a serial killer and wanting to build a bomb? Oh don't worry, I doubt he can make a baking soda volcano without help, so a bomb, Sabrina mocked when she saw Archie's expression change.
-I'm starting to regret that I didn't give him more than one black eye. Gronda Archie
-So much was probably deserved in his case, didn't you have someone who claimed to have stabbed himself on your side? I'm not a pacifist, but I'm not sure this battle will help anyone. And then Jughead keeps an eye on things... I think that's one of Toni's motivations. Better a leader who can keep them on a leash, than a Caligula who will set the city on fire and to death. Or ghoulies. They seem to be more dangerous than expected.
-You have a lot of opinions about everyone for someone who doesn't want to get involved," Archie said.
-In my defense, what is happening in this city is more interesting than any TV show. It helps to relative.
-Relativize?
-I prefer the slightest hindrance to an imaginary happy ending.
-With help, maybe you can get your happy ending, Archie said with a smile. -Besides, your cat's outside Pop's door. I think he's worried too.
-Yeah, I saw it. But I had a moment without anyone including Salem.
-Do you still need it? Because if you're not ready yet, I can leave you alone or we can go somewhere else before we go home. At Betty's, at my house or even I don't know if you know, but my girlfriend Veronica is having a party at her house and she said you could come if you want tonight instead of waiting alone in the caravan.
Sabrina looked up at him and had a difficult expression explained giving him back his smile but having a look of someone ready to cry as she contemplated Archie.
-It's amazing how you remind me of my boy... my ex," she ends up saying.
-Did it end badly between you two?
-Yes, you could say that. He... he was great, and I miss him.
-If you're not together anymore, he probably wasn't that great.
-No, it's my fault. I wanted help, but.... hell is paved with good intentions and it exploded in my face.
At that moment all Archie was experiencing was Betty after her sister left, Jughead after her mother left and Jellybean, Veronica after learning the consequences of her father's actions, Kevin the manipulation of Joaquim and Cheryl that fateful day on the lake was freezing.
-We're going to pay and go for a walk, okay?
-Mommy? Nana Rose? Who is there? Who is there? Asked Cheryl suddenly regretting that she didn't have her bow with her.
-Hello, sweetheart," suddenly said a voice of an unknown woman.
Cheryl turned around to find a woman who must have been in her late thirties, small in stature with a round face and blond, curly hair. Everything about her feel like cookies from the oven and long hugs. Yet Cheryl still wanted her bow.
-Hello, person the police will arrest in ten minutes if they haven't left my house.
-Oh, am I scaring you? Sorry, your mommy brought me and my sister in. She's treating her, but we'll be able to see her soon if that's what you're worried about," replied the woman in the same tone as if Cheryl had been four years old rather than seventeen. -I'm Hilda and you're Cheryl, right?
-I don't care about...
-Cheryl, that's enough!
Penelope was standing there in much better shape...much too well. Only a few burns remain near his neck and one of his hands. She still seemed a little physically weak, which was the reason why the woman accompanying her seemed to support her. With the same expression as if Penelope were an open garbage bag, but still. Hilda's sister was much taller and had a pointed face, these hairs were Venetian blond and for her part, she released more of a schoolteacher expression ready to make you sink your exam.
-Zelda, you were quick!
-Of course, I was quick," replied this one in an icy tone. -It's not that difficult to fix.
Then his eyes crossed Cheryl's.
-Come here," said this one, as if Cheryl were a dog.
-Pardon? Who thought you were old-fashioned bi....
-CHERYL, you come here right now! Shouted his mother with a surprisingly nervous expression.
Cheryl hesitated before moving forward with no turtle to the point that Zelda called her moved forward to join her and without hesitation grabbed her face to force her to look at her.
Cheryl felt paralyzed, wanting to scream, but unable to do anything while the woman observed her pupils like two then bottomless wanting to swallow her soul.
-No," she said disappointed when she released her grip.
-Seriously, Zelda? How incompetent do you think I am? His sister got angry.
-Not incompetent, just naive. She must have had that from someone.
-Yes, from his mother! Hilda got angry.
Zelda had another expression of disgust before addressing Penelope.
-Don't forget the payment. You are on credit for the moment!
-You would have it, didn't worry.
Zelda had one last look of contempt as Hilda shakes her hand goodbye before leaving mother and daughter alone.
-Mommy, what is it...
-Listen to me, Cheryl! Your little crisis in the hospital was the last straw. One gesture, one gesture, and I send you to the sisters of quiet mercy, am I clear?
And Cheryl lost what little control she never had.
The cat meowed his displeasure when he finally saw Sabrina go out with Archie. She took him in her arms and rubbed his forehead against hers.
-Sorry, I needed some time for myself. Do you forgive me? I have leftovers!
The cat sniffed the bag before jumping out of his arms and without moving too far away, he stayed at a distance by shaking his tail and following them.
-Does he sulk at you? Archie asked.
-Yes, not that it's not deserved. So, you have an idea where to go? Sabrina asked, changing the subject.
-Well, I'll think we could go to my place....
-You remind me of my boyfriend, but not this ...
-Oh no, Archie cut it off by understanding his misunderstanding. - I wanted to go see my father. I'm worried about him after what happened, so I was saying we could pass.
-Oh of course, sorry I thought the worst. I tend to see the devil's tail everywhere, Sabrina apologized.
-It's okay, everyone's been paranoid lately. And besides, I admit that maybe I do have a favor to ask.
-Well, ask," said Sabrina amused. -Worse, I'd say no.
-Betty said you have talents with plants. Do you have any ideas for something that might help my father? It comes at the end of the prescription period and even if he says otherwise, he is not getting better. So, if you have any idea of anything that might help.
-Oh of course! You can show me what he was taking, and I'll see what I can do. I can't promise something that strong, but maybe I can find something that can help it work.
-Thank you, said Archie.
As they arrived at the Andrews' residence, Salem began to run and passed them to go directly into the yard.
-Salem? Salem's come back! Cries Sabrina.
The cat returns, but comfortably seated in Fred Andrew's arms, purring.
-Hello Arch, are you coming home already? And you brought a friend? Fred asked more curious than anything else.
-Yes, it was faster than expected with Betty.
-What about Jugh?
-Also, Archie answered a little quickly. -This is Sabrina
-Hello Mr. Andrew," said Sabrina nervous.
-You can call me Fred," said Fred kindly, freeing his hand to shake Sabrina's hand.
-Sorry about Salem, he has a strong personality.
-Is it yours? Says Fred surprised. -It doesn't matter, he's quite friendly except maybe with Vega. He's just asking for table scraps.
-Are you sure you can hold him with your allergy? Worried Archie.
-He must be hypoallergenic because I've seen him dragged around the house for a week and no symptoms.
-Probably, he's a bastard so it's that or having one of the cats with special hair in his genes, Sabrina said quickly. -Sorry again, he considers that he needs these eight daily meals and I refuse to serve him more than three, so he has got into the habit of begging," Sabrina mocked.
-It's nothing and then he actually paid the last time. I thought he had a dead bird or smile in his mouth and imagine my surprise when I found a $50 bill in his mouth.
-Uh... yeah, he brought back stuff he thinks people like like candy or money sometimes, you're lucky it wasn't Monopoly tickets, Sabrina laughs nervously as she looks at her cat.
Archie noticed his discomfort and tried to change the conversation.
-We just stopped by to pick up a few things for tonight's party and for Sabrina to get some rest too.
-I will also punish my cat by giving affection to your dog, Sabrina joked.
-Make yourself at home, Fred answered.
-There they are, said Archie once his father had left them alone to lie down.
If Fred tried to hide it, he was still weak from his attempted murder and as much as he tried to ration himself so much, Archie had understood that his father was more dependent on them than he wanted to show him.
-Oh dear," said Sabrina in shock. -This thing is strong, but the amount was ridiculous. Shit, the American health system sucks!
-Do you only believe in traditional medicine? Archie asked.
-No, I believe in modern medicine...in Canada and in the Scandinavian countries," she says with a little smile. -And a lot of traditional medicine is shit too. It's an in-between that would be necessary. But good for if I can reproduce what's in there, I doubt it... Not legally anyway. For example, maybe I can do something that would help you sleep and reduce your pain without causing you to become addicted. Does he drink herbal tea?
-He likes coffee more, but I've seen him take it before, Archie says.
-Perfect, give me three days and it'll be ready, Sabrina says with pleasure.
-Thank you again, said Archie.
-Nothing and I'm... I'm sorry about earlier with my ex. I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable and I'm not trying to hit on you....
-It's nothing, honestly. I'm just starting to think I have a very common face.
In front of Sabrina's questioning face, he explained:
- Mrs. Blossom saw her son through me. For a while, it even seemed like they were trying to get me to replace him.
Archie expected a sarcastic or disbelieving comment, but for a moment Sabrina's expression seemed a mixture of horror and disgust before answering:
-It's twisted and disgusting even for them.
- I must admit that thinking about what Mr. Blossom did...
-His wife too, turn you into their sons for what next? To get you married to their daughter? What kink of fuck up you must be to even think about that, Sabrina continued, as she seemed to have trouble keeping her cool.
-Hey, it's okay, I think you read too much in there.  And Cheryl has a good heart. If you change your mind, she'll be at the party, tried to calm her down Archie.
-Yeah, I'm not going to blame a child for their parents' crime. Thank you, but I'll pass. Maybe another one when he gets fewer people. I'd like to meet Veronica, Betty says a lot of good things. For the tea, like I said give me three days and it will be ready and... Thank you again for today.
-It made me happy. Are you ready to go home?
Betty felt like she was going to die. The black hood had ordered her to break off her relationship with Veronica at the risk of making Polly pay if she refused. He had also promised a clue to his identity, but sociopaths were not exactly known for respecting their words. She had already had to part with Jughead. And who knows who would follow: Archie?  Kevin? Everyone until she was all his? It holds back a shiver of disgust.
For now, she had to concentrate to give a convincing performance. And to her great misfortune, she had a good idea of what would push Veronica to the limit: throwing her past in her face and comparing it to her father. Would only remain accumulated the anger she should release. All you have to do is look around her: see the others consumed by the jingle jingle as idiots when they knew the effects, Nick who seemed to him a pretentious idiot and who didn't miss a chance to rub Archie in the wrong direction, the loss of Jughead, his parents, Polly, to have missed Kevin's distress and finally his future treason. Forgive me, Ronnie, I don't want to lose you.
While Veronica, who had noticed Betty's coldness and her withdrawal from others, rang her phone.
(No please, not yet) thought Betty as she retired to be able to answer.
Hello? -Hello?
-Betty! I'm so happy to talk to you! Polly wrote on the other end of the line.
-Me too, Betty says, shares between the desire to hear from her sister and the fear of not respecting her contract with the black hood. -Why are you calling me so late? Is there something wrong?
-Oh, it's not much, I just needed to talk to you a little bit. It's probably my hormones that are screwing up, trying to rationalize her sister.
-You call me at almost 10:00, it must be important," Betty said against her best judgment.
Polly sighed, but eventually gave in:
-I think I think I feel and see things.
-Go on.... say Betty confused and worried.
-It's just a kind of discomfort, like sometimes I feel like we're watching, or I think I see something from the corner of my eye.
-Do you have someone watching you? Cries Betty horrify when she hears her words and remembers the threats of the black hood.
-No... probably not. Look, I just don't feel well, and I just wanted to call you.
-But did you see anyone? Insisted Betty.
-I saw something! But I don't think it was a person... it had the right size, but nobody moves like that, Polly continued.
-What do you mean, what do you mean? Betty continued confused.
-Oh, shoot, I think I woke up the others. I'll call you back when I can.
-Wait, you can go back to the...
She hung up.
-Home, Betty concludes, looking sadly at the phone in her hand.
-Betty," Archie shouted. -As soon as you saw Veronica?
Toni was helping Jughead as best he could, and he got into the caravan in the poor state he was in. Damn, Sweet Peas hadn't gone soft for him. It was better if he didn't go to bed right away to avoid the risk of a concussion.
As she opened the door and supported Jughead, she heard footsteps rushing to open it. She was wearing pink pajamas and a worn apron unknown to Toni.
-Oh, there you are! Sabrina wrote as she opened the door wide. -Back home, I have plenty of good food for you.
If Jughead's condition shocked her, she didn't show it. Psycho or hardened? Couldn't help but wonder, Toni asked herself.
-Glad to see you, whispered Jughead.
-Me too, even if I wish I had seen you in better shape. Sorry again about this morning and Toni? Good to see you too," Sabrina sincerely said.  -Do you want to stay and eat?
-Of course, Toni stays," continued Jughead.
-Awesome!
Toni had to give her this: this girl could cook. The meal was delicious and despite her best judgment, she reserved herself. After that, she and Sabrina took care of Jughead. This was not the first time Toni had taken care of someone in a bad state, she even remembered having to take care of Joaquim when he had spent his initiation with his mother six months ago. Sabrina also seemed to have experience and Toni had decided to give her a pass for her strange products.
-More ice? Toni asked as she headed to the fridge to wrap it in the damp cloth.
-Please, say Jughead.
-It's impressive, but you shouldn't have a scar," says Sabrina admiring. -So, Serpent prince, what would please his royalty?
-Don't overdo it, it's not a monarchy, Toni replied.
-It's cool as long as Jugh doesn't order me to give him a bath and make him macaroons, that's fine with me.
-What?" Jugh asked.
-Who would ask that? Continued Toni
-A girl I know. For a festival in Greendale, we had to elect a queen and I had to take care of all her whims. And that's not the worst part, she even tried to organize an orgy in my room.
-Liar, said Toni.
-I swear," continued Sabrina, who seemed amused as she told the story. -Six people, it counts as one orgy, doesn't it? I mean, if I'm honest, by digging under the layers of badness, he had a pretty cool person. Or maybe Stockholm syndrome has finally started, Sabrina says with a sincere smile on her face.
-It's your ex?" Toni continued.
-What? No! Just sister-nemi, I suppose? Tempted Sabrina clumsily. -Not that it would be wrong, I consider myself as a fluid, but it's her as an individual, not as a girl that I...
-Hey, a simple no would have been enough. But whatever you decided to come out of the closet, I like both too. Even if I may lean a little more towards the girls, recognized Toni. -Are you Jugh?
-Oh, I'm going through it too?
Sabrina and Toni would nod in unison.
-Well then I love Betty, but I don't think I have a desire for other girls or guys for what it's worth," Jughead admitted.
A little lie, Jughead had had feelings for another person, but the sex itself? He hadn't wanted to watch playboys at puberty or had the same questions from others. Nothing until I fall in love. And even then, it was more the connection with Betty than the act itself that attracted him.
-Demisexual? Toni asked.
-Probably, said Jughead.
-I think I would go in that direction for myself too, Sabrina continued. -Finally, I have all my life to be sure," said Sabrina, looking a little sad. -Did you choose the episode you want to watch?
-I hesitate between Time Enough at Last or A World of His Own," says Jughead.
-Maybe, look at both, since I'd like you to stay up late in case you have a concussion, said Toni worried. -Besides, I asked Hack if he could fix the hole in the kitchen. You really have no idea what caused this?
-None, we were both in the main room when it happened.
-A mini earthquake or someone who sent an object against the caravan tried Sabrina.
-No, the ground didn't move, and the sound didn't come from outside. It looked like someone hit the wall with all their strength from the inside.
-I don't see what it could be like in this case.
Liar thought Jughead then. But before he could try to dig into the question, he heard Toni say while looking at his phone:
-Oh, shit.
Betty and Archie found Veronica pale and trembling with anger.
-Ronnie, are you okay? Asked Betty right away.
-I'm sorry, but the party is over, can you warn the others," replied this one, trying to control an adjacent anger.
-Ron, you worry me, what are you...
-Archiekind, please.
Archie reluctantly obeys, leaving her with Betty.
-Ronnie, what's wrong?
-Later, please. I'll explain later....
The dreaded ringing of the phone then began to play, forcing him to obey. She withdrew separately to answer.
-Evening.
-You disobeyed me! You didn't come.
-I was held back...
-I don't care! You should have listened to me, someone will have to pay for it, maybe your dear sister!
Suddenly, anger flowed through Betty's veins.
-You're not as good as you thought you were. Three of your victims survived and Polly saw you running around ready. She notified the police, she says defiantly.
-What?
His reaction took Betty to class; he seemed...surprised? That his sister saw him? Or... Oh, of course.
-I'm really a poor excuse of detective. That's not the real Black hood talking, is it?
The person at the other end of the phone was passing the surprise tried to regain control of the conversation, but it was too late.
-Of course, I'm the real Black....
-Oh, that's right. Who is really calling? Chuck? A ghoulie? You know what? I'll tell you what. It doesn't matter! You played with my nerves and tried to separate me from my loved ones. If I were you, I would get down on my knees and pray that I wouldn't find it, BECAUSE I WILL BE MY PLEASURE TO DESTROY YOU!
And she hung up without him, giving him time to answer with a surprising sense of satisfaction.
Toni couldn't go home tonight. It wasn't the first time and it wouldn't be the last time it would happen until she was eighteen. Her parents had died when she was four years old: during a battle in a bar, a guy hit her father with a glass still in his hand, seriously injuring him in the throat. His mother panicked, had tried to go to the hospital with him rather than wait for an ambulance that only arrived once in three times in time. Drives too fast and not exactly sober, killing them both. The person in charge had gone to prison, sentenced to five for assault and making only two for good conduct and blaming Mister Topaz.
After that, she had lived with her grandparents. It was perfect until Grandma got her fatal cancer and Grandpa became too sick to take care of her full time. Grandpa  have to send her to live with his uncle Timothy. He was okay when he was taking his meds, the problem was that it only happens once in a blue moon. He was unstable, and nothing could cause him mood swings that often-had explosive results. Refusing to let Toni in the house was for a more or less long period was usually her reaction to punish her for whatever she thought was wrong. In this case, forget to buy orange juice.
Impossible to go to Grandpa's tonight, Joaquim was absent and she could not see her knocking on his mother's door who still blamed them for her son's situation without his presence, Fang's parents were nice, but with the uncle, aunt and their children being recently settled in their homes in addition to their already large family, they didn't even have a closet or install Toni and going to Sweet Pea meant facing the mad drunk who was his mother. So yeah, she was screwed.
-You can stay here says Jughead. -You only have to share the bed with Sabrina.
- Thank you, Jugh," said Toni, hugging him.
-Or you can have the bed and I'll take my sleeping bag to sleep somewhere else, Sabrina continued.
-Okay, seriously, what's your problem? Are you afraid I'll strangle you in your sleep or what? Toni got angry.
-It's not that! It's just... I have night terrors, okay? I thought you'd like to avoid it," said Sabrina embarrassed.
-So, what, you might kick him and whine in your sleep? Because I don't remember ever hearing you scream in your room," says Jughead.
-I'm not screaming, it's closer to paralyzing her from sleep. When I regain control of my body, yes I may kick and if I don't scream, I cry and mumble.
Toni sighed before saying:
-On the bench seat of a car into a metal scrap, under Sweet Pea's bed among her dirty socks and behind the Whyte Wym bar where I know for a fact that people have vomited, pissed, spat and fucked because I had to clean more than once. These are the three worst places I had to sleep and I had a lot of people with whom I had to share a bed or a room that snores, talks or moves in their sleep, I even shared a bed with Fang's little sister who regularly peed in bed while his other sister who slept in the room made her teeth for a month. I can survive to your worst trust me.
-Okay, fine then, but Salem is sleeping with us. He can sleep outside the bed....
-MEOW! Shouted the surprising cat Jugh and Toni, but not Sabrina.
-Okay, Salem has to sleep with us, but he won't move on my side," Sabrina said.
Everyone had left the party and Archie was taking Betty home.
-Veronica told you what happened? Asked the ginger.
-No, but she said she'd call me. Don't worry, I'm sure she just didn't want to talk to everyone around her.
-Her father's return stressed her out, Archie continued. -Maybe it's related to him.
-Maybe.
They continued walking in silence until Betty broke the silence again:
-I'm sorry for what I asked you. To break up with Jugh for me.
-Yeah, speaking of which... I couldn't do it, at the time I had the opportunity, an emergency arose and he was already gone.
Archie had expected a lot from Betty after telling her the truth, but certainly not that little nervous laugh.
-It's perfect, it's just perfect.
-What did I miss?
-Nothing. I think the guy who called me and said he was the Black hood was an impostor. Then it's just as well that you didn't say anything.
Jughead was dreaming. A dream without any real logic that seemed to place him in three places: running through the free and princely woods knowing that he was the master of the place, then sitting at a table eating a most exquisite buffet that never seemed to be finished and finally with Betty, beautiful and smiling, dressed in a white dress, flowers in his hair, he kissed her so happy. The fantasy changes every time he blinks until they start to mix: he runs into the woods with Betty, licks the sauce with his fingers and lips, stops in the woods to pick fresh fruit and eats the still warm flesh of a deer. He was free, he was strong, he was hungry, he was in love, he was controlled before he lost him. The images continued to melt and mix with each other. Until Jughead found himself in a forest above Betty lying in the grass with his hair spread like a halo around his head, his lips slightly ajar as if to sigh, these green eyes watching Jughead feast on the best meal of his life. Meal that found in Betty's abdomen.
Jughead woke up with horror and had just enough time to rush into the bathroom to vomit.
-What are you doing here? Says a voice in the woods.
-It's not your home, go home or the chance to be the meal of its real inhabitants," continued another.
Toni kept walking through the forest trying to ignore the voices that could have mixed with the sounds of nature yet seemed to scream in his ear. She continued to walk despite everything because backing away seems out of the question. Too close, too close, but to what?
The answer came quickly.
There's a... person in a clearing? So tall and thin with a skin too pale, almost off-white, but which seemed hard as a bark with hands where it was hard to know where the nails were finished, and fingers started giving him long black claws scraping something off the ground whose nature Toni has no desire to know. These fluorescent eyes shone behind her long grey hair and it has a mouth that stretched from ear to ear filled with sharp yellowish teeth that refuse to stay hidden. Finally, his legs seemed to be tucked in like those of a quadruped with a kind of long protuberance at the foot that held as much of a hoof as of a claw.
-What do you want? Asked the thing with a surprisingly feminine voice.
-I... I... I... I
-If you're here, it's because you want something, or can you be useful for free? I would be very happy to do so.
-Useful? Suddenly said Toni, whose word had finally brought her out of terror and brought her to anger.
The thing shook his head to confirm his words.
-This is not your land and you are not my race, I don't owe you anything. But maybe you want to change that?
She put her hand through her hair, cutting a handle with her claws: as she fell to the ground, they turned into snakes.
-Finally, be what you want to be: sure of your choices or why not be at the crossroads?
Immediately the snakes began to crawl towards Toni, she from disgust struck the nearest one so the sound of the shock woke her up!
Covering her eyes, another blow was heard, and Toni turned to the side of the bed that she discovered empty. Following the ground cover trail, she found Sabrina lying on the ground, her eyes wide open and a huge blue starting to appear on her forehead. Her cat rests against her trying her best to calm her down by rubbing against her.
-Sabrina, what happened? Says Toni while trying to get it up.
-I... I hit my head... and I fell, says this one flatly.
Toni then noticed with horror that she was bleeding from behind her head.
-Oh, shit. Come on, let's get you cleaned up.
As soon as they were out, Toni heard Jughead vomiting in the bathroom and left Sabrina on the couch to meet her.
-Jugh, what's going on? Do you need to go to the hospital?
Jughead turned around and tried to reassure her:
-It's nothing. I guess food too rich and blow to the head doesn't mix well. Did I wake you up?
-Han, miss albino did it. She managed to blow her head off in her sleep. Don't ask me how she did it. At three years old, I don't say, but at sixteen?
Jughead finished cleaning up and Toni took care of Sabrina's head. It was just a cut that, like all head injuries, had just bled a lot.
But after their respective nightmares, none of the Serpents wanted to go back to sleep right away and that also applied to Sabrina in case she had a concussion. Perhaps it was better to continue the twilight zone marathon.
-If you don't mind, I might do some laundry while I'm up.
-Are you sure that's a good idea? Asked Jughead. -Maybe it's worth sitting still.
-Oh, come on, just the towels. They're full of blood thanks to both of us and it's going to be awful to clean them if you wait too long. I will make a quick promise," she insisted.
-Just, if your head turns, you stop and come back.
Sabrina bought it and headed for the washing machine. She started to classify the different clothes and towels, throwing them in the machine before stopping at what she was looking for.
She checked that the other two were busy (more discussed the future of the snakes than looked at the screen) before turning her attention to the towel: it was the most stained of all and it had only Jughead's blood on her. In this state, claiming that it was too damaged to be washed and had to be thrown away might work. Discreetly, Sabrina took it and waited for Salem to approach. The cat knew exactly what to do and took the towel between his teeth to take him to the room to hide it while waiting for the right time. Hot dog wanted to follow the cat, but he emitted a rumble too low for the human ear, but cataphoric for the dog who immediately backed away. The cat seems to have an expression of satisfaction and Sabrina went to join the others.

I'm not sure if you're taking prompts other than the numbered quotes from the list, but could you please consider writing a prompt where Joaquin has to meet up with Kevin because FP's putting more pressure on Joaquin to get details on the case, but Joaquin's got a cold that day so Kevin ends up taking him somewhere to take care of him?
Joaquin was leaning against the wall next to the trash cans behind Pop’s, smoking a cigarette and waiting for Kevin Keller. He coughed and grimaced, throwing his almost unsmoked cigarette to the ground and stubbing it out. He had a cold. This morning he woke up coughing and shaking from cold. But he had work to do of course…and work meant in this case that he had to meet the sheriff’s son and try to get some information out of him concerning his dad’s work. FP had told him yesterday to text Kevin and ask him on a date so Joaquin could learn more details about the Blossom case.Joaquin sighed, he hated this so much and cursed himself every day for not being able to just shut up. FP would have never found out if Joaquin had only been a bit more careful! Joaquin had met this cute guy at the drive-in, had made out with him and really wanted to see him again. And even finding out that this boy was probably the last person Joaquin should date, namely the sheriff’s son, hadn’t been able to stop Joaquin from wanting him. He had gone home, smiling like an idiot and had texted Kevin the same night, telling him how much he had enjoyed their little make-out session and that he wanted to see him again. And Joaquin hadn’t been able to keep his mouth shut. He had talked about Kevin all the time, probably getting on Fangs’ nerves. And that was how FP had found out. He had been furious at first about finding out that Joaquin dated sheriff Kellers son. Joaquin had freaked out and in his shock told FP that there was nothing serious between Kevin and him, that Joaquin had only decided to agree to the dates because he thought they could use that inside line…FP had bought it and decided that it was actually something that could play in their favor and had told Joaquin to keep on meeting Kevin. The only problem was, that what Kevin and Joaquin had, was (despite what Joaquin had told FP) real. And now Joaquin felt terrible about having to do this, spying on Kevin’s dad and on his friends.
He sighed and looked down at his phone, where a text from Kevin appeared. “I’ll be there in 5 minutes, baby!” And a heart emoji…Joaquin smiled and typed a reply, “Can’t wait!” And of course, he added a heart too. He knew that he got it bad…
Joaquin pulled his leather jacket tighter around himself, shivering in the cold wind and sneezed. Great, this damn cold seemed to get worse. He looked up and saw Kevin almost running towards him, obviously very eager to meet Joaquin. Kevin’s gaze met his, and a sweet smile spread across his face. He seemed to be so happy to see Joaquin. Joaquin looked at Kevin: this tall, handsome boy, with his preppy hair and clothes, wearing one of his usual sweaters and expensive jeans and sneakers. He didn’t fit into Joaquin’s world, but somehow Kevin hadn’t gotten the memo and had decided to like Joaquin anyways and call him baby and kiss him all the time.
Joaquin’s heart was beating crazily in his chest, and there was a strange fluttering in his stomach as he looked at Kevin, and he suddenly realized what those symptoms meant..he was in love. He was in love with this cute, preppy boy in front of him, and it shouldn’t have happened, but it had, and now there was no way to undo it.Kevin reached him and pulled Joaquin into his arms, and Joaquin cuddled against him, grateful for the warmth Kevin’s embrace offered. “I missed you,” Kevin whispered into his ear, and Joaquin smiled a bit stupidly. It had been only two days since they had last met, but Kevin had already missed him! “I missed you too, Preppy. I am so glad you are here now.” Kevin smiled at him, this open, heartfelt smile combined with a slightly unbelievable look in his eyes as if he still couldn’t believe that he and Joaquin were boyfriends. And who could blame him? Joaquin also couldn’t believe it, but he knew that it was everything he wanted. He lifted his head a bit to kiss Kevin, but had to pull away again after only a short moment, because he had to sneeze once again. “Sorry.”Kevin chuckled and pulled Joaquin back into his arms. “Do you have a cold?”“Yeah.”“Then you shouldn’t be out here in the cold! Come on, we will go somewhere warm. My dad is at work. If you want you can come to my house. I will make you tea. You look like you are freezing!”Joaquin could only nod weakly. Kevin smiled and took Joaquin’s hand in his, lacing their fingers together and pulled Joaquin along. Joaquin looked down at their entwined hands. He had never held hands before, but it was something Kevin liked to do, and Joaquin liked it too now. It was such a simple gesture, but somehow it meant so much. It was so affectionate, so loving and sweet and it was kind of everything Kevin stood for. And so Joaquin happily held hands with Kevin, whenever he got the chance to.They arrived at the Keller’s house, and Kevin quickly led Joaquin to the couch in the living room and told him to lie down, piling up several fluffy pillows for Joaquin to lean against and collected a warm blanket from his room so Joaquin wouldn’t be cold. “I will make you tea and look if we have some medicine here.”Joaquin smiled at Kevin thankfully and lay down on the couch and sighed. His head was buzzing, and he suspected that he probably had a fever. But at least he was warm now, snuggled comfortably under the soft blanket Kevin had brought him. The blanket smelled faintly of Kevin’s cologne, and Joaquin felt even more comfortable because of that. Kevin returned after a short while, a cup of tea and a little flask with cough syrup in his hands. He set both down on the table and kneeled on the floor next to the couch, to kiss Joaquin’s cheek and place a hand on his forehead to check his temperature. “Hmm, you feel a bit hot. I think you really have a fever. Poor baby.”He gently stroked Joaquin’s hair and looked at him with such affection in his eyes, that it almost made Joaquin cry. Suddenly he was hit by a memory from his childhood: His mom looking after him when he was still a little child and was sick. She had always made a small pillow fort for him on the couch and brought him tea and cookies and read his favorite stories to him. It had been the last time he had felt truly loved and safe. Until now…and suddenly he really had to blink tears away.He looked at Kevin and couldn’t stop himself from saying: “Thank you so much, Preppy. You are so cute. I.. I..” he suddenly realized what he was about to say and panicked, and finished lamely, “…like you so much…”But Kevin smiled at him and leaned forward to kiss him quickly. “You’re welcome, I like taking care of you. Why don’t you rest a bit and I will go to the pharmacy quickly to get some aspirin for you.”Joaquin nodded. “Ok thank you.”Kevin grabbed his jacket and left the house, leaving Joaquin alone. It was the perfect opportunity. He was alone in the sheriff’s house. The door to sheriff Keller’s office was just a few feet away. And Kevin would be away at least twenty minutes. It was everything FP would want. Joaquin could easily go over to the office and look at all the notes…but he didn’t want to do it.He couldn’t bring himself to betray this sweet boy, who apparently liked him so much. He couldn’t rummage around in this house, into which Kevin had invited him so lovingly. He couldn’t do it, and he wouldn’t do it. And so Joaquin just stayed on the couch, under the blanket which smelled like his boyfriend and thought about Kevin’s cute smile and his green eyes and how his hand felt in Joaquin’s. And he hoped that they would somehow get through this and have a chance to stay together and that Joaquin could one day become something other than a small town criminal and give Kevin the life he deserved. He fell asleep before Kevin returned and when he woke up hours later, it was already dark outside, and Kevin had made pasta for them and more tea. He brought everything over to the couch so they could eat there. Later on, they cuddled on the couch, watching tv and when Joaquin had to leave because Kevin’s dad would soon come home, Kevin accompanied him to the door and kissed him and promised that he would check on Joaquin tomorrow.Joaquin walked home with a smile on his face, and when FP asked him if he had made any progress, he didn’t even get what his boss was talking about at first. Until he realized that his mission of the day had been to gain some more information from Kevin. He shook his head and told FP that Kevin knew nothing. And went back to his trailer to get ready for bed, but before he did so, he sent a text to Kevin: “Good night, Preppy. Thank you for taking care of me.” And of course, he added a heart emoji.
Thank you so much for this prompt! Of course you can send me prompts which aren’t on the list. This is great! I had so much fun writing this. I hope you like my little story! ❤
You can find my current Joavin prompt list here. Just send an ask with any combination of numbers. Or send other prompts :)

Return of the Serpent King (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sweet Pea x Jones!Reader, Jughead Jones x Jones!Reader (Siblings)
Requested: Yep
Summary: With your dad, FP, coming home you have to tell him about your relationship with Sweet Pea
GIF Not Mine
Part 1 <- Part 2
After you left Jughead standing in the middle of the car park you had no destination in mind but your legs took you to Sweet Pea’s place. When you first met the Serpent you wouldn’t have thought he was the only person in your life you could trust and turn to. You slid down onto the steps, leaning against the door, and waiting for Sweet Pea to come home. You began to think back to the first time Sweet Pea saw you for you. Oh how you wish you could go back to those times.
At first, Sweet Pea just saw you as Jughead’s sister. He didn’t like Jughead and therefore didn’t like you by extension. You were walking down the street back to your trailer, music playing in your ears when you walked past an alleyway. It was changing between so you heard what sounded like some guys fighting. You glanced down the alley and saw at least three guys but what stood out to you was the distinct Serpent tattoo on the neck of one of them. You recognised him from school. Everything in your body was telling you to keep walking and not to get involved yet you found yourself taking your headphones out, shoving them and your phone into your pocket, and walking towards the fight. "Hey." You called out but no one payed attention to you so you tried again, this time louder. "Hey!" They stopped throwing punches and turned to face you. Sweet Pea had a look of confusion whereas the two Ghoulies sported malicious smile. "What the hell is going on here?"
"Don’t worry about it honey. There’s nothing to see here. I could show you something back at my place later though." One of the Ghoulies said, licking his lips with hunger. You scoffed in disgust. It wasn’t like you were expecting any less from a Ghoulie. You shrugged your backpack off and hit him in the face with it, his nose breaking on impact. You were glad you still had your textbooks in there. You turned to look at the guys friend who stood there, his eyes wide with shock.
"Do you also wanna go?" You asked. He quickly shook his head before running off in the opposite direction along with his friend who pulled himself up off the floor. You put your backpack back as you also turned to leave.
Sweet Pea managed to recover from the initial shock that some girl who doesn’t owe him anything would help him, let alone Jughead’s sister. "Wait up." He called running to catch you up. "Why did you do that? Help me?"
"Because, you’re a Serpent and you guys are like family to my dad." You shrugged. To you it wasn’t a big deal. In a way you felt like you were doing it for your dad.
"Well, thank you Y/N." Sweet Pea smiled at you gratefully. It was the first time he saw you more than just Jughead’s sister. He realised he didn’t hate you but instead like you.
You smiled to yourself, thinking back to day you saved your boyfriends ass from Ghoulies. Your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a motorbike pulling up. Sweet Pea got off his bike and walked up to the door just as you stood up from your seated position. "Can I stay here tonight?" You asked.
"You don’t even have to ask. You’re welcome any time." He answered, pulling you into a hug. You thanked him and stayed in his embrace for a while before pulling away so you both could go inside. When you got inside to his room you started getting undressed so you could put one of his old shirts on like you’ve done it plenty of times before. Sweet Pea could tell that something had upset you this evening and that you were trying to hide it from him.
After you got ready for bed you climbed in, as did Sweet Pea. You scooted close and faced him, starting to play with his dog tags as he played with your hair. "My dad’s staying a Serpent after all." You said, breaking the silence.
"I’m sorry, Y/N. I know how much you wanted him to change." Even though Sweet Pea was glad FP was staying a Serpent he still felt bad as all you wanted was your dad back.
"It’s Jughead’s fault, you know." You told him. He frowned not understanding what you meant. "He made a deal with Penny Peabody and now dad has to pay the price." Once you uttered those words Sweet Pea tensed up causing you to look up at him.
"Whatever you’re thinking don’t do it. Don’t get involved, Y/N. Even though you want to. Don’t. She’ll ruin your life. Promise me you won’t get involved." He said with a serious tone, almost pleading.
"I promise."

The next morning FP was sat at the table drinking his coffee as he watched the clock waiting for you to come home. After his speech he didn’t see you for the rest of the night nor did he hear anything from you. At first he wasn’t worried because he knew you could handle yourself but now, now he was a little worried. Jughead walked in to the kitchen stretching as he made himself a cup of coffee. "She still not back?" He asked his dad who shook his head.
"Nope. Not even a text."
"Y/N, was really upset last night. She probably just needs some time to cool down." Jughead told him. "It’s all my fault."
"I can’t let you take all the blame. It’s also my fault. I did spring it on her that I was no longer retiring." FP sighed. When he was making his speech he saw how upset you were before you left.
"I think I know where she might be." Jughead said after a few moments. "She might be at Sweet Pea's."
"Sweet Pea’s?" He asked not fully understanding why you were there. Jughead nodded I response.

Sweet Pea had left you alone at his place while he handled some Serpent business with Fangs. You were sat on his couch eating cereal and watching day time tv, lounging in one of his sweatshirts when there was a knock at door. You groaned and mumbled to yourself thinking it was Sweet Pea forgetting his key or something but when you opened the door you groaned again. Standing there was your brother and your dad. You didn’t say anything but instead walked away leaving the door open so they can walk inside. "So Sweet Pea, huh?" FP started, breaking the silence that coated the room, after he sat down on the arm of one of the chairs. You still remained silent, eyes glued to the tv causing him to sigh. "Look, Y/N, I’m sorry, okay. I know you probably feel like I lied to you but you don’t understand. Not fully anyway."
"What’s not to understand. Penny has both you and Jughead wrapped around her finger. You’re letting her ruin your life!" You shouted, all the emotions you felt last night came flooding back. "Don’t you care? Don’t you care that you could go back to prison leaving us again. Leaving me." You said, your voice cracking. Both Jughead and FP knew you were upset but didn’t know it was this much. "And yes Sweet Pea. Him and I are dating. Have been for a while now. You know, at first I was nervous to tell that I was dating a Serpent. That I would disappoint you. But now? Now it doesn’t matter, right?" You couldn’t be in that room anyone without fully crying so you went to Sweet Pea's room, slamming the door behind you before you broke down crying.
After a while they left and you stopped crying. You sat up, noticing your clothes from last night laying on the floor. Sweet Pea wasn’t back yet so you still had time. You promised him you wouldn’t make a deal with Penny but didn’t say anything about talking with her. So that’s what you decided to do. You went to see the Snake Charmer.
"Ah, another Jones on my doorstep. How may I help you?" She asked with a sweet smile, maybe a little to sweet.
"Oh, I’m not here to make a deal." You started. You remained standing as this would be a quick visit. "I’m here to tell you to stay the hell away from my dad and Juggie."
Penny started laughing, not taking you serious at all. "Oh, you’re serious?"
"Hell yeah I’m serious." You said as you got closer to her face in a threatening manner. "This is what you’re gonna do. You’re gonna free my dad and Jughead from any deal they made."
"And why would I do that?"
"Because, if you don’t I’ll go to the sheriff and tell him everything." Penny was about to say something but you carried on. "And before you say anything about the video footage you have. I have evidence that can make your evidence redundant. I can make you look like the shady bitch you truly are."
"Bravo. I think you’re forgetting the fact that as well as getting people out of jail I can put them in, though. How do you think your dad would like life in jail. Who knows maybe Jughead can get a cell next to him. What about Sweet Pea though? I heard they have Ghoulies in there and you and I both know what they’re like." Your threatening demeanour soon changed. You took a step back, speechless as to what to say. You hadn’t planned for her to threaten everyone you love including Sweet Pea. You hadn’t planned for her to know about the two of you. "Would you still wait for him to get out of jail?"
You wiped a stray tear that fell. "Screw you." You said before you left. You should have just listened to Sweet Pea because now you have possibly made things worse.
The moment you got back to Sweet Pea’s place he knew something was wrong. "What happened?" He asked, getting up from the couch and walking over to you, cupping your cheeks in his hands so you were looking up at him.
"I’m so sorry. I should have listened to you." You sniffled. "I- I went to see Penny." The moment you said that he groaned. "It wasn’t for a deal. In fact I went to threaten her to stop but she just turned it around on me and she..."
"She what?"
"She threatened you, Pea." You couldn’t hold it in any longer. The tears fell once you said that. This prompted Sweet Pea to pull you in close for a hug. As if it would protect you.
"Ssh, it’s okay. We’ll figure this out. Okay? Together." He assured you to which you nodded.
