Blasting Off To The Past: Chapter 1: The Customers Are Used To This By Now
Finished chapter 1 of my fanfic based on @yamujiburo's Jessie/Delia Pokemon comics. The fact that it's just the first chapter is a development that materialized roughly 5 minutes ago when I realized this thing is getting way too long to write all at once. It's just a fun little day-in-the-life story because I wanted an excuse to write these characters.
Here's the AO3 link.
Below is the full chapter text. Enjoy!
“Meowth, I demand to know why you just kicked me!” James yelled dramatically.
“Don’t flatter yourself, I wouldn’t waste my time kicking you!” Meowth
The lunch rush took its toll on everyone in different ways. For Delia, the strain kept her too busy to notice anything outside the restaurant. For Jessie, it meant Delia wasn’t looking at her.
In the case of James and Meowth, it was dealer’s choice. Today, that meant each blaming the other for the table leg they each routinely tripped over. Meowth’s thimble-sized temper had reached a boiling point. James was mad by association.
Delia had been holding down the kitchen until the commotion piqued her attention, prompting a peek around the corner into the dining area. She saw Meowth seething as his serving tray clattered to the ground, trading leers with James whose serving tray remained pristinely perched atop his fingers.
Then time stood still as she saw Jessie burst in with a face that gave her conflicting feelings, making a Beedrill-line for the bickering duo. How she heard the noise from across town would remain a mystery. The love of Delia’s life was a lit fuse heading straight for a flamboyantly colored powder keg. The focus now needed to be heading off the stormfront before it turned the restaurant into a restauNOT (she took a second to chuckle at that).
“Jessie. Babe. Sweetie.”
The red menace continued undeterred. Delia raised her voice.
“Jessie, stop! Jessie! Honey!”
Still nothing. Delia was desperate.
“STOP, DAMMIT!”
Jessie screeched to a halt, bringing the universe with her. She and her two partners in something or other all turned their heads toward Delia, three identical faces of exaggerated shock. Though Jessie’s sported a tinge of crimson.
“I… buh…” she attempted.
“Delia made a swear,” Meowth whispered.
James simply covered his ears.
But whether through shock or sheer force of Delia’s long-bided power, the situation was defused for now. The residual fallout kept things together until the restaurant finally slowed down. James and Meowth lost their abrasion around each other, more or less back to their regular selves give or take the occasional shared look towards Delia. Granted, not unlike their usual behavior.
Jessie, meanwhile, had stuck around to help however she could. At the moment, she was employing her puppy dog eye technique to try and soften Delia’s mood every time her wife looked her way. Despite coming across more like bewildered Magikarp eyes, which had Delia desperately suppressing a snort laugh at every turn, it probably would have worked even if she actually had been angry.
Eventually, closing time arrived. Jessie had finally released Delia from her fishy look and was taking a break from cleaning to watch James and Meowth. The other two former Rockets were Taurosing around with each other as they took the garbage out back. Delia noticed a wistful look in her wife’s eye. It was one she’d been seeing a lot of lately.
“You miss the adventure, don’t you?” Delia asked warmly.
Jessie gave a slight start at this before nodding. They’d grown to know each other well enough that it was no surprise Delia could read her so intimately.
“I know we weren’t the good guys going after the twe- eh, Ash and Pikachu like that,” Jessie seemed just a bit embarrassed, “but getting out there and traveling around really got my juices moving.”
“Even more than our little battling vacations?”
“W-well, I wouldn’t say…” Jessie hesitated, but she knew she never needed to hide anything from Delia, especially after all this time. “Kinda, yeah.”
Jessie’s regular trips out into the region with Delia to explore and battle gym leaders had very quickly begun to rank among the highlights of her life, and she wouldn’t trade them for anything, no matter how shiny. But…
“I just miss the camaraderie with James and Meowth,” she found herself gushing. “I miss the cartoon-level plans we came up with together, I miss the big Meowth balloon, I miss James’ camp cooking and Meowth’s snoring, not to mention-”
“I’m sorry, what was that about Meowth?”
“Oh, right, you never heard his outdoor snoring. Only happens when he’s camping. Real conker of a wavelength he could belch out, which you wouldn’t expect from a little fart like him. I think he developed it as a defense to make predators think a Snorlax is sleeping nearby or someth-”
“What?” Delia had trouble getting a word in edgewise sometimes, a trait of their relationship she oddly treasured. She liked seeing Jessie excited. “No, why would I ask to hear about…? Never mind, I meant the balloon thing.”
“Ok, yeah, that makes more sense,” Jessie admitted. “It was a thing of genuine beauty. A huge hot air balloon in the shape of Meowth. We even used official Team Rocket funds to commission it. They seemed cool with it.”
“I’d like to point out that they did very much fire you.”
“Oh yeah,” Jessie said with a guttural giggle. “Wow, things are definitely starting to make some more sense now that I say them out loud. But anyway, we used to go everywhere in that balloon. It was our own little home where we never had to deal with property tax. We’d sleep up there, have some fun by spitting off the sides, do… other things off the sides…”
“Honey, I love you but oh my god.”
“Hey, if you can think of other ways to handle being up in the air for days at a time…” Jessie’s old smug nature crept in, which she caught before going any further. “Th-the point is I just miss the balloon. It was sort of a symbol of that complete freedom we used to have. Nothing tying us down, literally. No rules. No responsibilities. No bosses or authori-” she paused, her expression that of a system reboot. “How did we not get fired sooner?”
“I didn’t realize how much you thought about that time,” Delia started to feel just a touch of guilt. Or was it jealousy?
“Not 'all the time' or anything. Some things just remind me of that past life. Like how James and Meowth have been sniping at each other a lot lately,” Jessie said with a look of dawning realization. “They must be feeling homesick too. Or, I mean ‘homesick’ I guess,” she made some halfhearted quotes with her fingers. A glance over at Delia dropped the fingers immediately as Jessie read her wife’s expression, as subtle as it was.
Jessie wordlessly walked over to Delia, not rushing, not holding back, simply going. She took her hands in her own and clasped them.
“I am happier now than I’ve ever been,” Jessie answered a wordless question. There was no need to explore the topic further. This is the most she’d talked about the old days since, she realized, that awkward time when she, James, and Meowth had shown up on Delia’s doorstep completely out of options. It was enough that she got it out.
Delia just smiled. It was a genuine smile, but one that obscured hidden depths. Depths that ironically flew right over Jessie’s head.
Once they finished closing, Jessie and Delia stepped out of the restaurant hand in hand, following James and Meowth who had apparently regained their passion for griping. Jessie paid little attention as they fired quips back and forth, sounding to her like synthesized speech from a Nintendo 64 game. She was content where she was, blissfully strolling home with the love of her life. No thoughts, just vibes.
If she’d only opened her eyes, she’d have seen the poorly-hidden look of sneaky determination emblazoned on Delia’s face.
-the next morning-
“Ash!” Delia burst into her son’s room. “We’re making a balloon!”

PMD Special Episode 0 Romhack: Secret Cutscene!
NOTE: This post will contain minor spoilers for the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky games as well as a romhack based off of it: Special Episode 0: In a Dark Past Well. This wasn't exactly what I expected for my first post, but I sure as hell ain't complaining! I'm making this post since I discovered something that I haven't seen posted anywhere, so I thought I might as well share it. Sorry if it's a little long! First off, a bit of context: Thanks to numerous fanart, I've begun playing a PMD romhack called Special Episode 0: In a Dark Past. It's a romhack of the Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky games specifically, delving deeper into the backstories of two of its characters: Grovyle and Dusknoir. As a massive PMD EoS fan, I've been enjoying it so far! Highly recommend it to anyone who's a fan of these games or characters and the writing is great! You can check out the creator's Twitter here, the hack download should be in a pinned post: https://twitter.com/PKMM_ESPEP0 It was when I got to a fight with a Vespiquen and her Combee that I got a little curious. Before I picked up this hack, I'd already watched a short playthrough of it and knew that you were supposed to lose this fight to continue the story (Vespiquen is ridiculously strong and uses Silver Wind, which basically kills you from anywhere). But I wondered if it was possible to beat it. After all, I had a lot of stun seeds by this point, and Duskull knew both Disable and Hypnosis which could stall the Vespiquen.
So I did. Though I must first confess, I didn't do it 100% legitimately. I don't own a DS, so I play all my games using emulators, including both PMD EoS and this romhack. Thus, I was able to save right before the battle so I wouldn't have to reset and go through the entire dungeon every time I lost. So while I did manage to beat the Vespiquen fair and square from start to finish, I did do a couple resets to save time. But that's not what I made this post for. After beating the Vespiquen, I unlocked a secret cutscene! I haven't seen anyone share this before, so I thought I might as well put this out there for anyone who is curious. For anyone who's read this far, thank you so much, and here it is! (It's quite long at about 7 minutes, but it's totally worth the watch!)
Thanks for reading through this one hell of a first post! Like I said, I really love PMD and from the little I've experienced, this romhack is just as beautifully written. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't! I wonder if I should start posting PMD fanart of my own...

Grusha | Fic | where the reader gets badly injured by a wild Pokémon attack but as he reaches reader he sees them knocked out and gets protective?
This has a bit of angst in it, but not a lot...I don't think? I just saw this prompt and I'm like "Oh, I have the perfect set up!". Reader ends up totally fine though, just saying. I don't ever write straight up angst.

SFW Grusha: Protecting What Matters
Grusha tried not to let many things bother him; he preferred it that way. He sometimes got annoyed with overly optimistic people, or those who saw everything through rose colored goggles, but most of the time he just let went with the flow.
Then he met you, the kind of person he didn't expect to fall for. You were moving forward at a fast pace, far faster then he would've ever thought possible. He ended up falling hard, and he hated it. He pushed down the feelings as much as he could, but whenever you begged him to go out somewhere with you, or to train in the mountains, he always had issues telling you no.
You were a capable trainer, with an even more capable team, so he never worried when going out to train in the mountains. He knew, he cursed himself for knowing, that anything could happen. Anything could change the course of your life in an instant, just one misstep was all it took. Despite knowing this, hell even preaching it at some point, he didn't pay enough attention to you.
One moment, you were battling a Froslass with your fire-type, an easy battle, then the next you were on the snow, bleeding from the head. He had never ran so fast in his life, sliding on ice as he skidded over to you. His Altaria managed to beat the Froslass without him even having to utter a single command.
He looked you over, seeing how you were knocked out cold. Despite saying your name several times, you didn't rouse. You had a pulse, that was good. It just looked like a chunk of ice had been hurled at your head. Grusha managed to lift you in his arms as he took you to the pokemon center.
You were fine, completely and utterly fine. A minor concussion, but otherwise you didn't have any long term issued. Three entire weeks and you were completely back to normal; knocking at Grusha's front door. The blue haired boy opened the door, wearing just a long sleeved shirt and some black joggers. His hair was tied into a bun as he looked over at you with an almost surprised look.
"You're back..." Grusha said, opening the door for you to come in. You happily walked into the home, kicking off the boots so you wouldn't trail snow everywhere in the home.
"Yuppers, I was wondering if you wanted to go out into the mountains with me. I'm feeling a lot better and my team is itching to battle." You said, acting as if nothing happened.
"You want to go back out there? You know you could've died if that piece of ice hit you any harder." Grusha said and you shrugged.
"Well, it didn't, and I'll be more careful this time." You said, not bothered at all. You were alive and well, after all. Sure you were knocked out, but you lived.
"You might not be so lucky next time, you know things can happen in a split second. One wrong move..." Grusha began, wanting to convince you that maybe training in the mountains wouldn't be a good idea.
"I know, but this is what I enjoy doing. I can't let once incident that I survived make me quit. I'm well aware of the risks of what can happen out there, Grusha." You said, feeling a bit like he was trying to dictate what you could and couldn't do.
"I just...what would I do if you died?" He murmured the last part so quietly you could barely make it out. Your eyes widened, as you realized exactly what has him so anxious. You gave him a wobbly smile before walking over to him.
Grusha hasn't anticipated you wrapping your arms around him, pulling him into a hug. You looked at him with a smile, "I don't plan on dying anytime soon." You informed him.
"It could still happen..." He murmured.
"Ya, well guess you'll just have to accompany me and make sure I don't get hurt again." You joked and Grusha put a hand on your head, playing with your hair.
"That worked wonderfully last time..." He reminded you, but you weren't caring.
"Guess you'll have to be extra diligent then. I bet if you held my hand out there, I won't be able to slip away and get hurt." You couldn't help, but chuckle at the light blush on his cheeks.
"Fine, I'll go with you...but you have to promise to be careful." Grusha said; you couldn't contain your joy as you reached up and kissed his cheek.
"Will do!" You said while parting and going over to put your boots back on. Grusha just looked at you for a moment more, his hand covering the cheek you just kissed. Perhaps he wouldn't be able to continue pushing down his feelings if you acted like that.

Just popping back in to give another request,,,
Amethio x Reader who's a Pkmn Pofessor or one that is studying to become one,?
I really enjoy your works :0
sure thing! apologies if the quality is off par, i'm dogsitting right now haha.
Amethio x GN!Professor! Reader
ever since you were little, you've absolutely been fascinated by pokemon. you live alongside them, yet there's still so much you don't know!
this natural curiosity eventually developed into a desire to learn all you could about all sorts of pokemon, so the route of a professor was the obvious choice.
your enthusiasm made your studies a breeze, and not long after you got your certification you decided to travel and learn more in the field.
After all, there's no better way to learn than first hand experience!
this is how you meet Amethio, while in the winding fields of the Galar, investigating all the ruined castles and the pokemon who inhabit them.
Amethio makes quite a disturbance, blazing through the path with his Ceruledge in order to complete his mission. It's making all the wild pokemon distressed, and you take it personally.
He initially writes you off as a nuisance, assuming he can quickly quiet you down with a battle and be done with it.
But you're familiar with Ceruledge as a pokemon; you've studied them enough to know their weaknesses in battle. Your partner pokemon makes quick enough work of it.
Now you have his attention!
As for you, though, you're more interested in settling down the pokemon in the area and forget about the encounter entirely.
But then you keep running into each other, and while Amethio begrudgingly accepts your technical skill as a trainer, you begin to understand his circumstances a little more.
over time, an unlikely bond forms between the two of you. Amethio often comes to you for advice concerning Corviknight and Ceruledge, both in battle and out.
And also to pull you out of it when you're super deep in your work. You know it's bad when he's the one insisting you rest.
Meanwhile you help him with his flexibility and adaptability, helping him not feel so crushed with how emotionally invested he gets in battle.
You two may be considered an odd pair, but you help balance each other out.
You still kick his ass in battle though.

Our Angel
Hello! Welcome to part 1 of my new fic series, featuring Greaser Submas! No need to worry! I'm still working on Beemas and Love That Bites! This was just something I've been wanting to write for a while. I'm still in love with the Greaser au... And had actually planned to write this waaaay before beemas, but the beemas brainrot hit hard haha. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy! (*^-*) Summary: Walking home one day from college, you hear something strange in the nearby alleyway. Morbidly curious, you decide to venture off from your normal trek home, and come across a guy badly injured. Throwing caution to the wind, you decide to take him home to recover his injuries, unaware how drastically your life is about to change... CW: Brief description of injuries, injured Emmet, mentions of unhealthy family relationships, minor anxiety Word Count: 5094 words! Next: Here - - -
From the moment you woke up today, you had a feeling it would be different than normal.
You woke up, got ready for your college classes, ate breakfast, just like normal. Your father had even been kind enough to even drive you to campus for once, since you were up a little earlier than usual.
Classes had been almost painfully average. Most of it was just a review for some tests for Friday. As thankful as you were for the chance to study a bit more, you wish you could have just left to study at home.
Still, you dutifully took your notes (again), and left classes as early as possible. If you stayed any longer, you risked one of your classmates cornering you again, asking you to lunch. As much as your parents liked the man, you had no desire to hang out with him. He made you uncomfortable, and you knew you would be miserable if you agreed to go out.
Walking down the street, with your books in your arms, you held back the urge to sigh. The day had been painfully boring so far after all. Wake up, go to school, walk home… Now all you have to do is get home, eat dinner, study, and go to bed.
The perfect ‘good girl’ your parents had always wanted. You blew a tuft of hair out of your face, though turned your head when you heard the sound of laughing.
Over across the street was a park. It was average compared to Nimbasa’s amusement park, but it was a quaint little place. In the park, you could see a group of people having a pokemon battle. Your heart tugged at the sight, and you couldn’t help but be a little envious.
‘No pokemon allowed in our house!’ Your mother’s voice echoed in your head, a rule your parents kept, even as you were an adult.
Your head dipped low as you looked away. It would do no good to dwell on things you could not have.
Besides, all you had to do was finish college, and you would be free.
You couldn’t wait for that day. Until then, you would abide by the strict rules your parents gave you.
Even if you wished for more, at times.
Shaking your head, you continued onwards back home. You still had a bit of a walk, after all. It was best if you got home before too long so you could study some more. If anything, you would be prepared for Friday, and it would keep your parents placated.
Though you were beginning to get incredibly tired of studying almost every evening.
It wasn’t a rule per say, but if your parents didn’t like the place you wanted to go to, they’d heavily guilt trip you into staying, or make up some excuse saying they needed your help with something.
It was better not to push it. It only happened a few times, but they would hold your college over your head if you persisted.
‘We let you live here for free, and pay for your college classes. You agreed to follow our rules. You are not to go out tonight, or we’ll consider that you are going back on our deal.’
It left a bitter taste in your mouth.
You continued on your way, though your pace was noticeably slower than before.
As you got lost in your thoughts on your way home, you tried to ignore the heavy feeling in your heart.
However, you nearly missed what sounded like a clank in an alley you were passing. It brought you out of your musings, and you paused for a moment.
You stared into the alley way. It was a long one, one that had a crossroad down the middle. You could have sworn you had heard something.
Just as you shrugged and took a step to move on, you heard it again.
Clink!
You looked around you, to see if anyone had heard it, but no one walking down the streets seemed to care, all wrapped up in their own business.
Before you could consider just moving along again, you heard it once more.
Clink! Clink!
Right after you heard the strange sound again, you tilted your head when you swore you heard a groan.
It could be anything, you were sure. In fact, it was more than likely just a pokemon searching for food in the trash. Or it could even be someone who works in the stores on this street, restocking, or taking a break, or something.
Something easily explainable, no need to go check out a dark alley just for curiosity’s sake.
Though as you nearly decided to leave, you heard the same groan once more, followed by a very weak sounding cough.
Biting your lip, you debated with yourself. Going into an alley like this without a pokemon was just asking for trouble, but…
You couldn’t help but feel drawn to it. Like something wasn’t right.
Slowly, you took a step forward into the alley, feeling tense and nervous. You were ready to bolt at any second, should anything go wrong.
Your books were tightly held in your arms as you made your way towards the corner. If you were being honest with yourself, you were almost frightened by what you may find. And yet… The idea excited you. You couldn’t recall the last time your heart pounded like this.
As you came to the corner, you slowed to a stop, freezing when you heard another ‘clink!’ like noise.
It was now or never. Surely it was nothing, and you’ll get to ease your worries, and say you had a fun mini adventure on an average boring day.
Taking a deep breath, you slowly peered around the corner, and stepped back in shock.
On the ground was a man, with very obvious injuries. Even though he was a bit away from you, you could tell he had several bruises, and must be bleeding from somewhere, if the little pool of dried blood under him was any indication.
He was wearing leather, and had what you assumed was white hair, but it was hard to tell from all the blood in it. If you didn’t know any better, you’d say he almost looked like those greaser guys you heard about around campus…
You nearly jumped when you heard another clink. Your eyes snapped a bit to the left, and your eyes widened.
A Galvantula was by a trash can, hitting it with its front legs.
Was that his pokemon?
Just as you thought that, the spider pokemon saw you peering, and let out a little squeak. The pokemon then carefully scuttled towards you, but kept its distance. You noticed it stayed between you and the man on the ground, but didn’t seem aggressive.
Taking a step forward, you pointed to the man, hands shaking.
“M-May I check on him? Make sure he’s okay?” You asked, feeling a little silly, but nervous. You heard most pokemon could understand human speech, but you didn’t know for sure. The last thing you wanted was for the poor thing to attack you, thinking you were going to do more damage.
However, after asking, you nearly jumped back in surprise when the spider pokemon squeaked, and scuttled over to you. It gently tugged at your pants, tugging you forward.
Briefly, you wondered if perhaps the pokemon was making those noises earlier to draw someone’s attention…
You didn’t have time to think about it, with the pokemon now pushing you forward.
“W-Woah! Easy!” You said, nearly tripping over your feet. The Galvantula tapped its legs against the ground anxiously, but refrained from pushing you again.
Lowering yourself to the ground, you gently sat your books to the side, and looked over the man.
He was on his stomach, and slightly curled in on himself. He must have been taking quite a beating.
Gently, you poked him on the shoulder. He let out a groan.
“Okay… good news, he isn’t dead…” you mumbled. But he didn’t look good. He almost curled in further on himself, and was shaking with each breath he took.
You debated on what to do, before shaking your head. Glancing over at the spider, you showed it your hands.
“I’m going to try and flip him over, and see his injuries, okay?” You told it, and it seemed to nod at you. Pleased you got the pokemon’s permission, you gently grabbed the man’s shoulder that was farthest from you, and rolled him over.
The whole time, your heart was back to thudding in your chest. You were nervous, and a bit anxious over what you might see.
The man let out a moan of pain at the action, but didn’t resist you. Though you gasped when you saw a little bit of his wounds and face.
He had a swelling black eye, and a gnarly cut on his head. He also had a bruise on his chin, and a busted lip.
His white shirt was covered in blood, that especially had you worried.
Carefully, you lifted his shirt, and were surprised at the lack of open wounds. There were a few, but it was mostly bruises, and the open wounds weren’t heavily bleeding.
“Is this blood not all his own?” You mumbled, eyebrows scrunched together as you thought out loud
Taking another look at his jacket, you grimaced at the blood outside of it.
Well, this guy certainly didn’t go out without a fight.
Shaking your head, you slipped your backpack off, and reached inside. You had some tissues you could use to clean him up a little. You even had some band aids you could use on the smaller wounds.
Grabbing a water bottle with your tissues, you slowly began to clean up his face. He almost seemed to relax when the damp kleenex dabbled across his skin.
After a few moments, you reached to grab a new tissue, and when you looked back, you jumped.
The guy was awake, staring right at you.
Despite the condition he was in, you were taken aback by his silver eyes. They were beautiful…
You were frozen, and couldn’t look away.
Though when he spoke, it seemed to pull you from your trance.
“Am I in heaven?” He asked, his tone flat. You shook your head, giving a small smile to try and reassure him.
“No silly, you’re still-“
“-Because I must be looking at an angel.” He finished, cutting you off. His blank face then morphed into a dopey-lovey looking one with a wide smile. Your jaw dropped, and you felt your face growing hot.
“N-No! I’m no angel. I’m glad you are awake though, I should probably dial an ambulance-“ you spoke, and nearly squeaked when his arm shot out, grabbing your wrist.
He coughed a bit before speaking.
“No hospitals…!” He coughed again, wincing in pain, “Ingo will kill me if I end up in one again.”
You had no idea who ‘Ingo’ was, but given he was probably a greaser, he’d probably have a lot of trouble headed his way for ending up in one. “Okay, I won’t call a hospital then…” you told him, a bit uncertain with yourself. He really needed professional medical attention, not just tissues and a bottle of water.
His smile returned though, and you felt your face flush as he watched you.
You thought for a moment, and let out a shaky sigh. You didn’t really have anyone you could call, but you didn’t want to leave him here, or upset him by calling an ambulance anyway.
What could you do?
Suddenly, a stray thought crept up in the back of your mind.
‘Your parents are out late tonight, both on a date… You could take him home… It’s not far…’
Biting your lip, you wondered if that would be truly wise, bringing an injured stranger into your home...
But when you looked down at him, and saw his wounds, how some were still bleeding, you made a decision. You just hoped it wouldn’t come back and bite you. With your decision made, you quickly put your books away in your bag, and slung it over your shoulder, before reaching for the injured man beneath you.
“Come here.” You whispered, and gently began tugging him upward. He didn’t resist you, but he did look a bit confused.
“Angel?” He asked you, and you ignored the nickname. This was important. You could be flustered later.
“If you won’t let me dial an ambulance, I need to take you home so I can patch you up. It’s not far from here, and we can take the back alleys.” You quietly explained as you helped him to his feet, and wrapped an arm over your shoulders to steady him.
He stumbled a bit as he struggled to find his balance, but he eventually found it after leaning on you for a moment. However, you could tell moving put him in a lot of pain.
Okay, Angel.” He slurred, his eyes narrowed as he tried to keep himself together. You couldn’t help but give him a worried look. This poor guy…
Before you got to walking, you looked at his Galvantula, who seemed curious, but ready to follow wherever you led them.
“I’m taking him to my house, would you please help keep an eye out on our way there? These alleyways are not very safe…” You explained. The little spider gave you a nod, followed by a chirp. You assumed that meant they understood.
It definitely made you feel a little bit better at least. You wouldn’t be defenseless if you both were jumped.
Carefully, you began to walk. It was slow, but the man was thankfully able to keep a pace without too much difficulty. You decided to take that as a good sign, though you hated making him walk in the first place.
Though every so often, he would talk, his words occasionally slurring.
“You’re verrry pretty, Angel.”
“I must be incrrredibly lucky, I have my own guardian Angel.” “Hng… Ingo is going to be so jealous… When I tell him…”
You decided he must have hit his head too hard. No doubt he must have had a concussion, with all the silly things he was saying.
Though that didn’t exactly help your anxieties about the man’s health.
Still, despite the rough condition he was in, he was able to make most of the walk to your house without much trouble. He only had to stop a few times, but otherwise, was able to keep up.
You thanked whatever deity was watching over you that the remaining walk home had been a short one. Especially since it was still daylight, and you had been worried about someone seeing the man, and asking you about it.
Thankfully, even as you escorted him past the main parts of the city into your neighborhood, no one saw you carry him towards the suburban alley way. If they did, no one said a word.
Finally, you approached the gate to your backyard, incredibly thankful that your father had not yet bought a lock for it. It was a small struggle, getting the old gate open, but you managed.
Carrying the man through your backyard, you carefully maneuvered him to your back door. Though you mentally cursed, realizing the door was locked.
“Here, lean against this.” you said, gently having him lean against the wall near the door.
“M’kay, Angel…” He mumbled, doing as you asked. You tried not to fret over how quiet he had gotten, compared to how he was mumbling earlier.
Quickly, you scrambled for the spare key, ignoring how shaky your hands had gotten. Once you found it, you made quick work of the lock, and pushed the door open. You hid the key once more, and once again had the man lean on you to walk.
Once inside your house, you made your way through the home, before making it to the stairs. It was a bit of a struggle, but slowly, you managed to get the injured man to the second floor, and to your bedroom.
Carefully, you led him to your bathroom. You especially thanked any god listening that your parents let you have a room with a bathroom, or this would be so much more difficult. As if you were carrying glass, you gently sat him down on the closed toilet, and took a moment to catch your breath. The man easily sat down, also happy to relax for a moment. All the while, his cute Galvantula jumped up onto the bathroom counter to observe.
“Here. Rest here, and I’ll do my best to patch you up. I have a first aid kit here.” you softly told him, hoping he was able to somewhat comprehend your words.
His head lifted up a bit, and he gave you a dopey smile.
“Whaaatever you say, Angel.” he slurred, before his head rolled a bit, before hanging low again.
You had to fix him up, fast.
Quickly, you grabbed the first aid kit under your sink, thankful your father insisted every bathroom have one.
Putting the large box on the counter next to the pokemon, you quickly opened it up, and nearly sighed in relief when you saw it was mostly untouched. You figured as much, but you did not want to dig around the other first aid kits, just in case your family noticed something was out of place. Moving a bit to a cabinet on the wall behind you, you pulled out a few rags. Once again, you were thanking any deity listening, especially for the fact your towels and rags were black. Blood could still be noticeable, but not near as bad as any other color. You could probably wash them out before your parents even got home if you are quick enough.
Carefully, you wet down a rag, and bent down in front of the man. You gently cupped his face, grabbing his attention.
“Sir? I need you to stay awake so I can clean your wounds, okay?” You told him. His eyes fluttered open, and he gave you a small smile.
“Okay.” You gave him a nod and a small smile.
“Good. I apologize, but this will eventually sting.” You warned him. You were cleaning the blood off with water, but when you used the medicine to clean the wounds further, you had no doubt it would hurt.
The man playfully scoffed, though it came out more as a wheeze.
“I c’n handle ‘t.” He spoke, trying to sound touch as he gave you a smile. Though he kept swaying, and seemed to slur his words even harder. You had to work fast.
Thankfully though, you didn’t have to worry too much about him bleeding out, most of his wounds had started scabbing over, only a few still trying to bleed. You winced as you tugged at his white shirt. You probably should have ripped some clothes or something to help it stop the bleeding. You were such an idiot, you were lucky he was still awake.
Tossing the rag into the sink, you grabbed another, and some peroxide and ointment. You then bit your lip, before tugging on his jacket.
“I need to remove your jacket and shirt, sir…” You told him, fighting the urge to become flustered. He was injured, no need to make it weird.
“I am Emmet.” You heard him speak. Was that his name?
“Okay, Emmet. I’m going to remove your jacket and shirt, okay?” You told him gently. He fluttered his eyes at you, his grin widening.
“‘Course, Angel, anything f’ you.”
He then started to shrug off his jacket, which you quickly took off his hands and tossed to the side. You had to help him with the shirt though, his wounds a bit painful to do on his own.
Though when he got his shirt off, you were incredibly thankful to whoever was watching your life right now. The wounds weren’t quite as bad as you feared, but you still had work to do if you wanted to help him get out of this alive without infection. You got to work, grabbing some bandages as well, and setting them off to the side as you began to clean. If you could get the bleeding to stop, and clean these quickly, you could get the wounds bandaged immediately. The moment you began to clean and put pressure on some wounds, Emmet hissed in pain. You were surprised when he jolted away from you, before making himself relax. Maybe he was a bit more lucid than you thought? Or he had one hell of a pain tolerance up to this point. Though you had to ask yourself just how big of a concussion he must have when he spoke to you again as you began bandaging a wound. “D’ya like what y’ see?” He teased, and you attempted to ignore his question. He had a bit of muscle, some slim abs, and noticeable pecs. However, you didn’t want to become distracted when the guy was still so incredibly injured. “You are very injured, forgive me if I am a bit more worried about your wounds than your muscles.” You told him, though your words weren’t harsh. You swore you heard him chuckle.
He then let out a whine as you cleaned and wrapped another injury, one of his hands curled into a fist, before relaxing. You couldn’t help but frown.
“Sorry! I’m trying to be gentle.” You told him. It wasn’t your fault, but you couldn’t help but feel bad for him, knowing this must hurt a lot.
He simply gave you another smile. You wondered how he could do so when no doubt in a lot of discomfort.
“S’okay, Angel. You’re p’fect”
Thinking for a moment, you spoke up, giving him your name. He blinked. “What?”
“That’s my name.” you repeated.
“Okay, Angel.”
You had a feeling Angel was probably your new name from him now. There was a chance he wouldn’t remember much of this, and it seemed Angel was the easiest for him to use.
After you had the bleeding wounds under control, you shifted your focus onto his head. That cut wasn’t bleeding, much to your surprise, but it still looked fairly nasty.
Leaning in close, you began to clean it, only to pause when you heard Emmet speak.
“You’re so gorgeous.”
You then turned to his Galvantula, who had been watching on the counter patiently.
“I think your master hit his head too hard.”
The spider made some clicks in reply, but you simply turned back to Emmet, who was now pouting.
“I mean it. Y’re gorgeous.”
You clicked your tongue, trying to focus.
“Hush. You have a concussion.”
You could test that, but you almost had no doubts he had one. It made blaming his odd behavior on it a bit easier.
This guy was also possibly a huge flirt, you had heard of his type. It would be best to ignore him and not engage in his compliments, no matter how much they made you feel warm inside.
After you finished cleaning the head wound, you began to put on some ointment, and get ready for some bandages. As you were unwrapping the bandages, Emmet spoke again.
“My beautiful Angel, no, a god!” he spoke, staring right at you. You wanted to rub your temples.
Dear Arceus, he upgraded.
“My own guardian angel… What’d I do t’ deserve you?” he mumbled, looking a little more out of it. It would be sweet, if you weren’t so concerned about him. It seemed the exhaustion was finally catching up to him.
You just hoped he wasn’t passing out from blood loss. But you patched those wounds, and they hadn’t bled too much after you found him…
Still, you couldn’t be sure.
Thankfully, you were nearly done cleaning him up, and finished securing the bandage around the wound on his head.
You bit your lip as you looked him over. Where would you put him? Your bed? Maybe you could hide him out on the floor out of sight from your door, in case your parents came to check on you?
That wouldn’t be too bad. You could grab some blankets hidden away in one of the hall closets, and make sure he was comfortable, and he’d be out of sight.
Looking at Emmet, the poor man was slouching, and was more than likely almost asleep. Biting your lip, you gently went over, and put your hand on his cheek.
“Hey, I’m going to move you now, okay? So you can get some rest.”
He didn’t say anything, simply humming in response. However, he did nuzzle into your palm. You decided to take that as an ‘okay’.
You also did your best to ignore how cute it was.
Nodding to yourself, you then gave him a moment, before looping your arms under his own.
“Here we go-” you spoke, grunting when you began to help lift him up. He was even shakier than before, and struggled to find his footing.
When he started to sway, you struggled to hold him steady, and nearly panicked.
“M’Sorry, Angel…” you heard him groan out, and he stumbled over his own feet. The moment you felt him start to tumble, you panicked, and tried to hold him still. It proved to be futile, he began to fall, and you were going down with him.
…Right into the bathtub.
You both fell in rather clumsily, with you landing on his chest as he fell in on his back.
It took you a moment to gather your thoughts, before you quickly began to panic. You were straddling the man, as he lay dizzy on the floor of your tub.
“Oh my gosh, are you alright!?” You asked, quickly looking him over. Did you open any of his wounds? Did he hit his head?
His eyes blinked open, and he gave you a lazy grin. You then felt his arms wrap around you suddenly, and pull you back to his chest. A squeak left your lips as you were pressed against his bare chest, and you felt your face light up.
“N’ver better, Angel.” he spoke, his words heavy as he laid his head down on the floor of the tub. You briefly struggled against his grip, before finally relenting. He held you tight, and you didn’t wish to worsen his injuries after you had just patched him up.
You stayed that way for a while, your own body pressed against his.
It wasn’t so bad. If it wasn’t for the fact you were worried about his wounds, and were in a bathtub, you would even consider this kinda… comfy, if the situation wasn’t so odd.
And the fact he was, you know, a stranger. A stranger that was half naked and injured.
You weren’t sure how long it was until you felt him relax, and his breathing even out. Carefully, you lifted yourself up, and put his arms to the side.
Thankfully he never woke up. You weren’t sure if that was a good sign or not.
A little bit shaky, you stood up, and stepped out of the tub. Your eyes met the Galvantula, who was staring at you curiously from the floor. Glancing back at her owner, who was knocked out still in the tub, you let out a small huff.
“I’m… Going to go and grab some pillows and blankets to make him more comfortable.” you muttered, and quickly left the bathroom.
It didn’t take long to grab the stuff you needed. As you put the stuff aside outside the bathroom, when you went in to check on Emmet, you nearly gasped at the cute sight.
The Galvantula had crawled into the tub, and was now resting on the greaser. Emmet, still asleep, had subconsciously wrapped his arms around her, and held her close as they snuggled.
It was a genuinely cute sight. Precious, if you dare say so.
Quietly, you carried a few pillows and blankets in. The pokemon only gave you a glance, before going back to relaxing on her trainer. Carefully, you placed a pillow under him, and two blankets on top of both. You set a few more pillows inside, before deciding it was enough.
You watched them for a few more moments, before a thought hit you. Just as quiet as you entered, you left, heading to the kitchen. You grabbed a few painkillers, and a sticky note on the way back in your room, and wrote a note, before putting both on the side of the tub.
Hopefully he’d notice the bright blue note if he woke up.
Gently, you closed the door behind you as you left, and sat down on your bed. Letting out a sigh, you dropped your head into your hands, and groaned.
“What am I doing?” you asked yourself, as everything hit all at once. For some Arceus-forsaken reason, you saved some random greaser guy on the street. You didn’t even call the cops, or an ambulance, like you should have.
This was such a bad idea. Probably a huge mistake.
The stranger in your home wasn’t even the only issue! What if your parents found out? No doubt the man would be arrested on the spot, and you would be locked inside your own home for years. Even if you were a grown adult, you doubted your parents would let you live freely for such a ‘transgression’.
Not only was it a boy, it was a greaser. A greaser who no doubt was trouble given how you found him.
But… you may have saved his life. If you hadn’t walked into the alley from sheer morbid curiosity, who knows what would have happened? Would anyone have found him? Would anyone have cared to even call an ambulance, given he was a greaser? You knew a large group of people didn’t care for the gangs running around, so would anyone have cared to call anyone for this guy?
It made you sick to your stomach. Even if you weren’t sure if this was a good idea, you can’t say you regret trying to help him. You wouldn’t have been able to live with yourself if you had just left him there.
You glanced back at the bathroom door, and bit your lip. Your hands shook as you finally took in everything that happened today.
Hopefully this won't come back and bite you.

Been watching a lets play of Pokemon Black and White 2 by Chuggaaconroy, and after researching ages and finding wildly inconsistent stuff, I decided to write N x Hilda stuff.
Dear Hilda,
I’m writing this letter to you, and leaving it in the care of your mother. She worries about you, you know. You should come home. But I know better than most that it can be hard. Of course, for me, there isn’t really a home. After you took down Team Plasma and freed me, I left and travelled the world. It has been some time since then. I returned here, to Unova, to locate you. I wanted to thank you. But no one can find you.
I wonder where you are. Perhaps you are enjoying a life of simplicity with your Pokemon, basking in the sunlight day by day. But it’s unlike you. It’s something I would do. But you’re different. You care too deeply for humanity to isolate yourself from them. But maybe the fame got to you, and you just needed a bit of distance. But for two years? That’s a long time to be away from home.
I hope one day I will see you again. Until you return, I will continue to visit your mother. She tells me stories of you. I’d like to hear more of them. Perhaps one day you can tell me some yourself, but I have a deep unease over your disappearance.
I wonder if you are lost. We battled with Pokemon worshipped like gods, we both know first hand the forces that exist in this world. Were you sent somewhere? A distant dimension, the past, the future, the far reaches of space? Was your mind wiped?
These are questions I can’t answer. But one day, I will learn the truth. I’m going to speak with someone later today, the champion of the Sinnoh region, a woman named Cynthia. I’m sure you are familiar with her. She is an expert on Pokemon myths and legends, and I’m hoping she can shed some light on your fate, or even help me track you down.
I should go. There are many more things I’d like to say, but I will tell you them when I see you again. And I will see you again.
Yours sincerely, Natural Harmonia Gropius

Sagau x SMT
Hi, sorry for being so absent. My anxiety meds lost their effect and I only got my increased dose prescribed a few days ago. I also picked up a copy of SMTV the same day and I have been HOOKED. So now that I'm able to function again, I thought I'd write something. SMTV is the only SMT game I've played, so i may get some things wrong if i go too much into details, and rather than be another fanfiction, this will be more of a storyboard. (I've already got two other fanfics I need to work on) Anyway, sorry this got a bit long, but I hope you enjoy.
CW: Reader, (Y/N), and you used interchangeably at the start
• There are many ways you could write this, but I find the one that works best for me is in the form of a reverse isekai.
• The characters that appear vary slightly depending on the reader's age and academic advancement. For example, if reader is in high school, Xingqiu may be brought along to help them get close to you. If (Y/N) is in college, it would be someone older like Kaveh. Regardless, the characters that would appear are Xiao for obvious reasons, Faruzan, because they at least gathered that your written language was different from theirs, a few archons of your choice, and Childe, sent by the Tsaritsa as he was the first, and only depending on your progress, Fatui member to earn their creator's blessing. There were supposed to be a few more, but I couldn't think of any at the time of writing this.
• The characters who are looking for you do their best to blend in while doing so, only speeking when prompted, while the others all take part-time jobs so they can afford any resources necessary to find you, and to make sure they aren't living on the streets.
• The crossover starts in the same way regardless. You and a character are walking home when you come across a crowd of people blocking the path. It seems transit had been delayed, so you decide to find a detour, and on a secluded road when the two of you are alone, a crack in reality forms before bursting open to form a portal.
• You felt uneasy, but before instincts could take over, a swarm of monsters came through and dragged the two of you through, the shock of it all causing you to pass out, and when you wake up the first thing you see is Xiao.
• The portal had long since closed as Xiao was preoccupied with your safety. He explains all of this before dropping two swords to the ground, whether it's the choice weapon of you or the character doesn't matter, the weapon he brought for you needed to be light or it would have only served to slow him down.
• From here, your elemental powers awaken slowly and in their weakest form as you strike down the first few daemons with zio.
• The way you recruit demons works more like catching pokemon. Walking through this strange world, you were ambushed by a pixie. You instinctually held out your hands to shield yourself, only to let loose a spell. When you opened your eyes, the pixie was still there, and Xiao was confused as the demonic energy had completely vanished from this being. You purified Pixie.
• After exploring this land a fair bit, you spotted a group of angels being attacked by a powerful demon, and you decide to help them out. After the battle, the angels expressed surprise at the sight of a group of purified demons, and they requested, almost demanded, you speak with their superior.
• After your demons grew enough in power, they were able to make their own portals to and from that world.
I think I'll leave it here, while I definitely would like to write more on this, this was also an exercise to get my brain back into the writing mindset after not being able to for so long. I also have two other fanfictions that I should focus on first, as stated above. I might write more on this as those come closer to ending, but if any writers want to use this, feel free

So I saw you can do crossovers and I have been CRAVING Genshin girls with a crossover S/O. I was thinking either Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, or Pokemon.
So...if you really don't mind, could I get Ayaka, Yae, and Shenhe with an S/O who is a Pokemon trainer (the Pokemon they have can be up to you!)
(If the whole crossover thing has changed, feel free to ignore this, it seems like a bit of a stretch anyway lol)
I only know something about pokemon from the media you said! But I'm not an expert, somehow pokemon is one of the medias where I am not a total lore nerd... Also it's not general hcs... I just thought about first meeting scenarios and went all in haha...
Also explanation for their "signature" pokemon. Ayaka just cuz I think it suits her lookwise lol. Miko cuz her having a nuisance of a pokemon is funny to me. Shenhe cuz it's is one of the best counters for ghost types. I'm typing this just so people won't write stuff like "bUt wHy DoeSn'T MikO hAVe A VulPIx" she does. I just wanted to include one pokemon per character.
[Pokemon AU] Ayaka, Miko and Shenhe meeting their trainer S/O
Ayaka
She was one of the more popular pokemon idols as well as a gym leader, so she didn't have much time to herself at all.
Froslass is one of her signature pokemon. It was odd that actually when the two of you met, she had an argument with it.
The constant fighting and training for the performances has drained her Froslass, and you saw how upset it made her when you went to challenge her. The very idea of neglecting her pokemon made her feel terrible.
So instead of fighting her, you helped the two get along again. And she appreciated it more than anything else.
Ever since that moment you've been in contact. She wanted to repay your kindness after all.
It took her a long time to reach out again, but when she did she was so happy to see you again.
So you went on a "date" where it was just her trying to thank you for everything. You really enjoyed talking together and if you didn't connect last time, you sure did now.
Miko
Her life was always one where she didn't travel too much unless she needed to. She had a few pokemon she spent her daily life with. She really adored taking care of them. But secretly her pokemon were very well trained.
She liked to challenge random trainers from time to time, often acting like she doesn't know anything.
When she met you, you could immediately call her bluff but you still accepted. Your suspicions turned out to be correct when you saw what kind of a monster her Gengar was.
And her strategy was confusing you. But she had everything planned for a sudden win, rather than overpowering you and crushing your hopes in a minute.
Such playing with her food had caused her to lose because you weren't some newbie. She was everything but disappointed though, although she couldn't amuse herself with your reactions, she was entertained by battle instead- which she didn't think would ever happen.
So ever since that she wouldn't just let such a fun opponent go. She was hoping that the two of you would run into each other more often.
And she wasn't disappointed. Because fate kept bringing you together. By that point you've already became close.
Shenhe
Her job was dealing with ghost type pokemon who were often getting a little bit too comfortable fooling around public spaces.
And one day... She ended up having to scold your pokemon on your behalf before you managed to catch up to it.
You made sure to apologize to her for all that inconvenience, but all she said was that it was okay and then went her way.
She was so beautiful and graceful... When your pokemon saw the way you looked at her... Let's just say that it wanted to play a wingman.
It kept running away from you and making you run into her often. It only stopped once you got the courage to ask for her number.
She was blunt and it made her so appealing. Your ghost pokemon actually really liked her too!... But it didn't get along with her Weavile as much...
In the end your pokemon was listening to her better than to you. You honestly had no idea by that point if it played wingman for you to be happy... Or for it to spend more time with her.
~Mod Lisa

Hello I was wondering if you can write a scenario where the gym leaders/elite four find The Squad (Player, Nemona, Arven and Penny) after their adventure in Area Zero. I’d imagine that the gym leaders/elite four would be concerned seeing the squad disheveled but their reactions differ when the squad tells them the story of the events that happened in the Area Zero. The Player even shows off a paradox pokemon they caught.
Okay so. I, again, got carried away. This mostly features Larry and Hassel, with Grusha, Kofu, Rika, Brassius, And Tulip sprinkled in towards the end. Sort of a list of headcanons for the hypothetical what happens in between exiting Area Zero and the Post Game. Sorry if this isn’t exactly what you wanted but I hope you enjoy anyway!
TFW You Witness Horrors(tm) And You Try To Convince That One Miserable Looking Gym Leader To Buy You Dinner. General Headcanons.
- Considering how close Medali is to Area Zero, they’d end up running into Larry first out of anyone. The group drags themselves into the Treasure Eatery, dirty and starved, and Nemona chattering about how exciting what they just experienced was. And fun! A little scary too, she admits after a dry remark from Penny. But ultimately it was the adventure of a lifetime!
- It’s not uncommon to see bedraggled teenagers wandering around towns. A particularly nasty encounter with a wild Pokemon happens to even the best, so the group wouldn’t catch anyone’s attention. The only reason Larry even notices they’re there is that Nemona recognizes him and Penny wonders if they can get him to pay for their meals again. I mean, they all recently went through a traumatic experience, and a free dinner is the least they could get out of it.
- Larry sees Nemona and tge MC approaching and his immediate reaction is: “Oh, no.” It’s not that he dislikes either of them, but he’s eating dinner and would really, really rather not battle right now. Larry prides himself on being a realist, and an unfortunate fact about reality is Nemona can and will strong-arm him into a battle if she wants to. When they ask him to buy them dinner, he’s too relieved to care about the bill. He is dragged over to their table, much to Penny and Arven’s dismay. The logic is that he works for the League and if they tell him what happened, he’d be the one to tell Geeta, who would then tell Clavell where they’ve been. Hiding it would only work for so long, this way, they can avoid that whole conversation altogether.
- In true teenage fashion, none of them are particularly quiet whisperers, and Larry places his head in his hands halfway through their conversation. He would have let them get away with it too if not for Penny’s not-so-silent question to Arven.
- Out of everyone, Larry is the least interested in the secrets Area Zero holds. That’s above his pay grade. So is a bunch of teenagers sneaking down there to do Arceus knows what if he’s being honest. But, upon overhearing that in one day, Arven found out his parent has been dead this whole time, and then functionally watched them die again, it’s suddenly his problem. Made even more so when he hears out about the multiple monster attacks. On the outside, they seem fine. But once the adrenaline wears off and they’re alone, in the dark, and everything comes rushing back, what kind of person would he be if he let them deal with that alone. So, he shoots a message to Geeta (ugh) under the table, buys everyone dessert, and then corrals them to the Pokemon League.
- Well, that was originally the plan until the sun set, and now, with full bellies, the group is practically dead on their feet. He is not equipped to deal with kids long-term, so he calls someone who is. Hassel makes it to Medali in record time. Larry grits his teeth through a lecture about how he should have called Hassel immediately before he sidles off to his apartment, wallet noticeably lighter. If the group were any less disheveled, they would have gotten a lecture as well. But, they’re tired, and judging by how exhausted even Nemona looks, Hassel gets the feeling they already know.
- When Hassel hears that they went to Area Zero upon the Professor’s request, he considers heading down to the Zero Lab and pulling them back to the present himself to give them a piece of his mind. He quickly dismisses that thought. What’s more important is remaining calm for his students. Even if that’s easier said than done. Hassel has to turn his head to the side to compose himself. It’s pretty obvious what he’s doing, but I think the group would find it more amusing than distressing.
- Unlike Larry, Hassel is interested in Paradox Pokemon. Though his interest extends about as far as: were any of you hurt, an interest in the aesthetic differences between their modern counterparts, and a stray thought about seeing a Roaring Moon or an Iron Jugulis for himself. The latter of which he keeps to himself, he doesn’t want to encourage a revisit (even if that doesn’t stop the MC).
- After shepherding the group to their dorms, he lets all four of them know he will be staying overnight at the Academy to grade papers. Should they need anything, he will be in the art room. Admittedly, he has no papers to grade, but to say he is worried would be an understatement. Periodically, he’ll walk by their dorms, just to be sure they’re alright. Brassius will be hearing about the entire ordeal before the rest of the league. The second Hassel closes the door to the Art Room, the floodgates open and Brassius is hit with a long-distance hydro pump through his Rotom Phone.
- The last people the group directly tells what happens are Clavell and Geeta. Geeta will inform the rest of the League, so the teens can return to daily life. After that, it’s the general post-game. Add in some off-screen therapy for all four, though Arven and Penny go for longer due to previous issues.
- Rika eventually checks in, at least in the case of the MC and Nemona considering she knows them personally. She feels a little awkward trying to comfort Arven and Penny considering she’s never met them, though she will try if she sees them. Rika gives them her patented “Uh, you guys doing okay?” and then calls it a day.
- Grusha will pay the group a visit. It’ll take about a week before he shows up, but he inevitably does. While he’s not usually one to offer a shoulder to cry on, Grusha thinks his own experiences give him a unique perspective. He offers to give any advice should anyone need it. He’s especially happy to see the MC and Nemona are doing alright. Grusha offers, then he leaves. It’s really that simple. I feel like out of everyone, Penny would end up taking him up on his offer. The only reason she goes is that it makes logical sense, her therapist encouraged it, and she does think Grusha would have a unique perspective. Highly doubt they will get emotional with each other, I just want to see them interact.
Bonus: I am imagining Grusha and Penny sitting in almost complete silence before Penny asks if he likes anime. He says he’s never seen it, and she’s like. Hold on. And presses play on Yuri on Ice.
- Kofu decides the least he can do is offer a free meal at his restaurant. Then, once he meets Arven and sees his passion for cooking, offers to teach him what he knows. Arven deserves a father figure, and if it’s not Kofu, it’d be Saguaro. Honestly, why can’t be both?
- Brassius and Tulip are very interested to see the Paradox Pokemon the MC caught. Tulip would be over the moon to see Iron Valiant, and to be quite honest, I think Brassius wants to see them all. Expect to see a few new sculptures pop up around Artazon. Whenever Tulip sees the MC, she asks if they would treat her to a battle with their Iron Valiant.

Could you write something with pokemon eating their trainers?
I would like to do that. As someone who is really into P.okemon vore, I have not done nearly enough with the actual P.okemon as preds.
Late at night, the L.ucario slips into his trainer's tent with a devious glint in his eyes and a slurp of his muzzle. They were well into their journey, and the F.ighting type had been biding his time for this moment. His trainer is fast asleep, the rest of the team in their P.okeballs, and he was left out to keep watch for the night. It was the perfect time to strike. In all honesty, he didn't dislike his trainer or anything of the sort. But the young man wasn't very good at his job. He made sloppy mistakes in battle, got his team unnecessarily injured, and overall was just barely scraping by. Lucario was sick of it. The whole team was, of course, but he's the only one willing to do anything about it. So, with their trainer sleeping, the L.ucario finally makes his move--he lifts the young man's feet up, opens his drooling maw wide, and shovels them in. He works slowly and carefully, trying to be quiet as he lets thick gulps slurp his trainer deeper. He's happy that the human likes to sleep in only his boxers since it allows the L.ucario to enjoy every inch of flesh his tongue can reach. His trainer shifts slightly and giggles in his sleep feeling the slick tongue running along his legs, but it doesn't stir him, and he continues to sink deeper down the jackal's gullet with each thick, wet gulp. His hands are put to his side and slurped up as the L.ucario reaches his waist, then his torso is sliding down. The yellow-furred gut is really starting to bulge out now as the human slips inside and it gurgles in anticipation for its midnight snack. Before long, the L.ucarion's maw is sealing shut over his trainer's head. He gives the sleeping face a final lick goodbye before sending it down with a gulp. The L.ucario's gut sloshes out in front of him, now with the distinct shape of a human curled up inside. The L.ucario lays back on his trainer's sleeping mat with a content sigh, rubbing both paws along his gurgling guts. He really did it; he packed his entire trainer away with ease! And he didn't even wake up! In fact, his trainer seems pretty happy like this, if the L.ucario's aura reading is accurate. The thought that his trainer, even subconsciously, is content with being food makes the jackal smile slightly. A soft belch escapes his muzzle and he closes his eyes to sleep. Come morning, his trainer will be little more than a few inches on his gut and he'll be a free 'mon. So will the rest of the team...though, the L.ucario side-eyes the nearby P.okeballs with a slight smirk and another slurp of his muzzle. He'll need breakfast in the morning...and it would be a shame to break up the team, right? The L.ucario could keep them all together, their auras joining his, the weight hanging off his middle. They wouldn't mind that fate...would they?
Having just turned eighteen, the young trainer was finally allowed to claim his first P.okemon and go on a journey like so many youth before him. He'd gotten his starter and ran off in excitement, barely taking time to heed the warning of the professor. "Don't overlevel your P.okemon too much or he might stop listening to you!" It was a warning plenty of trainers got--a reminder that what they're doing is dangerous and that these creatures will prove it if they think they're stronger than their trainer. But he didn't heed that warning, and before even making it to the first town, the trainer had let his C.harmander fight everything he could, wanting to grow strong fast and prove his strength. That hubris would put an end to his journey. After snacking on so many P.okemon, and even a trainer, the C.harmander had gotten big and chubby. And it was eyeing up its trainer slowly, slurping along its lips as its belly gurgled. It didn't need this kid to grow strong, right? No way...he'd be much better as some extra experience points! So the trainer, too excited to watch his P.okemon's shifting behavior, let out a cry as he's tackled from behind by the smaller lizard. The sudden attack and its weight knocks him over, and he soon find the C.harmander sitting on his chest, drooling and licking its lips. The wet slurps he got along his face made him laugh nervously--surely it's just his starter showing him some praise for being such a good trainer, right? But when that slick maw opened wide, showing the same dark gullet a few dozen P.okemon had already faced...the trainer was in too deep to go back. The C.harmander didn't listen to a word its trainer said as it engulfed his head and began to guzzle him down. Commands, threats, desperate pleas--they all fell on deaf ears as the starter effortlessly packs away his overzealous trainer. Having a meal over twice his size leaves the little lizard stranded on the side of the route, but he's perfectly content like this, a fiery belch escaping his grinning face. Other trainers would pass by, noticing the screaming bulge of a human stretching out that orange belly, and the dangerous look in the C.harmander's eyes just begging for those passersby to try and play hero...in the end, nobody stopped to help the trainer. They'd all heard the same warning, after all--it's not their fault if someone else didn't listen. As time goes on, the human-shaped bulge would steadily soften up and shrink down, the boiling guts of the overpowered starter effortlessly pumping its trainer away like any other piece of food. If things turn out well, the C.harmander will be picked up by a stronger and more experienced trainer that can tame it. If they don't...then newbie trainers will have to be careful of the greedy C.harizard that lurks on Route 1, waiting for its chance to have an easy snack. Whatever the outcome is doesn't matter, though. With a final wet belch and a few pats to his fatter gut, it's the end of the story for the trainer whose journey never truly began.
G.engar has had enough. His old trainer traded him away to a new one, letting him evolve in the process, all because this prick convinced his old trainer that he was too weak to handle the ghost. And sure, maybe he'd been a bit of a handful, but he liked his old trainer! This one? He's a ruthless authoritarian, commanding P.okemon like objects rather than living creatures. Anything that doesn't make the cut gets tossed away, either used in trades like the one that got G.engar stuck here, or worse yet, used as fodder to feed other P.okemon on the team. Either way, they're always made into 'examples' to keep the rest of the team in line. It's worked pretty well, too. This trainer's P.okemon are all completely subservient to him out of fear of what happens should they fail. But the G.engar isn't. He's still too fresh to the team, and unlike most of the rest, he's had enough time with his last trainer to know what a good one looks like. The rest of them were caught or bred or traded in at weaker levels, making it easy for them to be controlled. But the trainer got too cocky, too greedy, and G.engar plans to make him pay for that mistake. Turning another round of ruthless, agonizing training, G.engar makes his move with the trainer is berating someone else for failing to be perfect. His long tongue lashes out, slurping up over the trainer's back and coating it in thick slime. The man shudders and his entire body goes rigid. Just as the ghost hoped, paralysis set in fast, and the trainer falls onto his back. The ghost floats over him, grinning wide, red eyes shining deviously. He really likes the look of fear etched into the trainer's face, that realization that he's truly messed up. But the G.engar knows a better look for him. The ghost's mighty jaws open incredibly wide, his thick tongue snaking out again to wrap around the frozen trainer and hoist him into the air. With a maw like his, the human is just a nice mouthful for the G.engar, the ghost's teeth clacking shut behind the man and his purple cheeks bulging out. He slurps and gnaws on the human, snickering to himself as he hears the little cries and whimpers of his meal. Finally, he tips his head back, using one massive gulp to move the human from his maw and down to his gut, which sags low in the air as the weight quickly drops in. G.engar belches thickly and pats his gut a few times. Yeah...this human will look much better as nothing but ghost chub. The rest of the P.okemon seem surprised by how easily and quickly their nightmare trainer had been disposed of, but really, the G.engar didn't care much. He grabs his P.okeball and floats off. Time to find his old trainer--that kid was always fun to spook. Maybe belching up some human bones will be a fun way to reintroduce himself!

Pokemon Horizons Episode 52 Review - How Many Kilos Did Kilowattrel Gain?
I liked this episode because it’s actually a needed development episode for Wattrel as it has been neglected far too long. When Roy first met Wattrel, it was scared of heights. Fortunately, it managed to overcome that fear, but it was still a moody bird. I do like that despite it overcoming one goal, it still has other goals that it needs to achieve, so its character arc wasn’t complete. This episode was perfect to showcase it; all I wished was that it could’ve been paced a bit better since Wattrel didn’t have a lot of screen time despite its capture back in Episode 14.
Wattrel’s flaws are that it’s moody and timid. It’s moody because it wants to be helpful to Roy, but since Fuecoco easily upstages it, it gets easily insecure and jealous. I liked that it got jealous when Fuecoco was easily able to get berries by using Flame Charge to climb trees. I actually like that it still has issues and that they’re not resolved so easily. It even got into a scuffle with Fuecoco because of this. I do like that Wattrel’s struggles were put to the test in a way that only it could do. Roy’s stuck on a cliff with Capsakid? Perfect opportunity to fly down and be of use. The way it struggled with the wind at first and then successfully carried it up to safety was so nice to see. Then, it was put to the ultimate test when Roy fell off the cliff. Wattrel is so little yet it still dove down to save him, evolving into Kilowattrel in the process. I always like it when Pokemon in the anime evolves when to save its trainer from danger. I feel like it’s like an earned evolution in a way and felt that it was a sort of reward for Wattrel who overcame its hurdles. I just hope that Kilowattrel still maintains a unique personality even after maturing. I wonder if Kilowattrel are naturally big birds because Roy’s bird is huge.
I do like seeing the kids interacting with wild Pokemon. The parts where they all struggle to capture videos of wild Pokemon were so cute. It just feels like kids acting like kids in a way. It’s also nice just seeing humans and Pokemon interacting. Roy’s little arc with the Capsakid was so cute, especially with the part where he enjoys its spicy Bullet Seeds. While Roy not catching Capsakid might be a missed opportunity, he wasn’t really there to catch it, but to write a report on it.
I also liked the inclusion of Ryme. It set off two important factors: 1. Roy will challenger in a fight. 2. Fuecoco will evolve, whether it be into a Crocalor or from Crocalor to Skeldirge; I honestly see it as the latter. I honestly can’t wait for this upcoming fight! Her rap was surprisingly good. She’s voiced by Kimiko Saito who voiced a plethora of cool old women characters like the Madam from The Apothecary Diaries and Rem from Death Note. Ryme is one of my favorite Gym Leaders in the game, so I’m glad they did her justice here. Her Houndstone was also adorable with its friendly big dog energy.
People might think that Wattrel’s evolution wasn’t deserved because Roy didn’t train it enough, but remember that we now live in an era where all Pokemon in the party gets experience, whether it by battle or capture. Fuecoco has done a lot of battling, so I’m sure Wattrel is at a good level to evolve, but it just needed that extra push. It was an episode that made me rather emotional because I really liked it! Kilowattrel is actually the second of the Rising Volt Tacklers’ Pokemon to evolve with Floragato being the first. There’s merch teasing that Hatenna might evolve into Hattrem, and it does make me curious if it’ll happen next episode.

Hi! What is your opinion on every pokemon season (by region) or at least the ones you have watched?
Oh man, a great question! I'll try to condense my thoughts about each into a few sentences but you should probably prepare for a novel haha:
Kanto: Honestly, when I watch the Original Series, I actually prefer watching the Orange Islands and Johto over the first season (I'll get to why in the next section). I think the first season is incredibly nostalgic to watch and has some of the most iconic moments in the entire anime, and the rest of the Pokemon anime wouldn't exist without it as a foundation, so I have to give it credit. Aside from most of the gym battles being kinda stupid, I do wish they'd followed up on lore they introduced that could've been incredibly interesting to explore, like Ash's childhood/his father's whereabouts, Jessie's mom, the Mewtwo/Mew stuff and other Team Rocket history from the CD drama, etc. But I also realize that the writers were just getting their bearings with making an anime adaptation in the midst of a rapidly-growing cultural phenomenon based off a video game, so I recognize the challenges and uncertainties that came along with that. Also quickly adding I highly enjoyed Orange Islands and my Pokeshipping heart revisits certain episodes from time to time as well.
Johto: Those who know me well know I LOVE the Johto series. I'm actually in the middle of a rewatch of it. Definitely rewatching it in full nowadays though, has definitely made me recognize that this series was far from perfect, but looking past its writing flaws, it's just purely entertaining for me. The English voice actors really found their voices and added so much to their characters, especially with the dialogue and the creative liberties they took in creating the dub. I like how certain backstories like Jessie's were explored a bit more in Johto as well, and I definitely think the gym battles were taken a little more seriously than they were in the first season. There were also some GREAT Brock episodes which I highly appreciated, and I never tire of watching the Butch and Cassidy episodes (aka the fortune telling one and the Lugia Arc). Also, Gary and Ash's battle in the League is my second favorite League battle of all time behind Ash VS Paul. Johto is also not only my favorite region but is also home to my favorite Pokemon opening song/OST of all time, and I generally just loved the vibes with this series where not every episode or scene had to be jam-packed with action every single second. It was nice to have episodes of them helping out a Character-of-the-Day or visiting a city or just laying in the grass taking a nap after camping out or having lunch. When I think of a Pokemon journey, those in-between moments are for me just as special as the action-packed high stakes moments. I definitely recognize the downside of this, though, because I do recognize that the constant repetitive pattern of Johto's plotlines in many episodes was fatiguing for many fans who wanted to see something different, and as much as I enjoy watching it, I agree. Johto itself is so RICH with its history and traditional Japanese roots and culture and it really felt like the writers shied away from integrating Ash's journey with a lot of the Johto game lore. It would've been cool to have characters like Jimmy and Marina interact with Ash, perhaps have Silver be introduced, and I also think they really dropped the ball on having characters like Casey and Ritchie be rivals in the Silver Conference. This is getting long though lol so onto AG next!
Advanced Generation: AG to me is like the underrated gem of the pokeani series. I think sometimes it slips through the cracks because it's not as "nostalgic" as OS but not as "hyped up" as XY or DP are. I really like AG a lot even though I don't talk about it much, but I do admittedly feel like several episodes or arcs at least in Hoenn are kind of forgettable to me or lackluster- the two major ones that come to mind are the Hoenn League and the Aqua/Magma arc, both of which should've been FAR more exciting and entertaining. DESPITE THAT THOUGH, I thought the group of four- Ash, Brock, May and Max was incredibly entertaining and brought a whole new dynamic which was different from the OG trio's. I also loved May assuming the role of dual protagonist and absolutely loved the concept of contests! I love Contestshipping and adored every moment May's rivals appeared on screen with their quips and banter. Her growth in this series was fantastic and her battle with Drew at the end of Battle Frontier was chef's kiss. Ash himself, this is actually my favorite portrayal of Ash as he's such a little egotistical brat in Hoenn- other people don't like this as much but I still eat it up, like you just wanna punch him but he's so funny. The battles were also SO MUCH BETTER in AG; I loved little scenes where Ash was teaching his pokemon new moves and actively training alongside them; really showed he was getting more and more serious about being a Pokemon trainer.
Diamond and Pearl: Aside from Johto, DP is my favorite series and is actually the series that was currently airing when I first became fully invested in the Pokemon anime (I did not watch it much as a child), so it's very nostalgic for me. I love almost everything about it, between Dawn continuing the dual protagonist role, contests still being included, Ash's entire team, Paul being an amazing rival, the Sinnoh League being amazing and still my favorite League, rivals like Conway, Zoey, Kenny, Ursula, Nando, and Barry all being awesome in their own ways, so many fun arcs like the summer camp arc, Wallace Cup, Hearthome Tag Battle, Team Galactic's major involvement, Brock's development leading up to him becoming a Pokemon Doctor...I can't get enough of this series. The only thing I don't like is probably the giant amount of filler episodes they really didn't need at certain points and the gaps between Ash's gym battles; even though I love it to pieces like I do Johto, I agree that similarly both did not need to be drawn out as long as they did.
Best Wishes: Besto Wishes!!! So aside from me blabbering on about how much I love Burgundy, gosh I absolutely love BW. There are some things about it I will unfortunately never be able to forgive- like the confirmation of Ash being 10, the Rocket/Plasma arc being canceled, and basically the soft-reboot essentially making all of Ash's development pre-BW for naught. But gosh was this series so refreshing in other ways. Iris and Cilan, both amazing characters, offered a new dynamic with Ash that the previous characters didn't and I will die on this hill disagreeing with everyone who says that Misty and Brock are just like Iris and Cilan. I think Iris out of all the Pokegirls actually had the BEST portrayal of a backstory and I like the development she received. I also love that Ash rotated between pokemon that he caught, aside from his DP team I'm also very attached to his BW and loved all their starkly different personalities. BW was just so much FUN to watch. I go back so many times to rewatch the fun Battle Club arcs and I definitely think the rivals made the series so entertaining. I wish they had explored the connoisseur thing more and wish that Cilan had gotten way more episodes than he did. I wish his rivalry with Burgundy had been explored more as well, and honestly I think they could've done without the Decolore Islands arc. I really wish they had just stayed in Unova and had characters like Georgia and Burgundy return at least one final time since they weren't present for the Unova League. I could say a lot more of course but again don't wanna make this a novel so moving on...~
XY: XY is unfortunately the series I've seen the least of and it's known to be well...not one of my favorites lol. I have a lot of issues with the way Ash is portrayed which is why it's taken me so long to watch it. I have, ironically, seen all of XYZ though, and think the Team Flare arc is the absolute greatest villain arc in the entire series. But I'm still working through all the previous stuff! I was in college when XY aired, so I had unfortunately missed a lot of parts due to being so busy, but it also has its own layer of nostalgia for me, mainly because it was between BW-XY when I first came into the Pokeani fandom on Tumblr and was introduced to a variety of incredible friends, many of which I've now met in person and am still close with to this day. One day I hope to sit down and just power through all of it, because despite some of the issues I have, I know that it has so many good moments and is absolutely gorgeously animated. Also Sawyer is best boy he's my fave and his battle with Ash was one of the best things I've ever seen (my 3rd favorite battle ever).
Sun and Moon: Sun and Moon is simultaneously hilarious and depressing as hell, and I absolutely love it. I don't know if I can say too much because it's been a VERY long time since I've watched SM. It was the first series I watched consistently as it was airing but I also had a lot of stuff going on IRL so by the end I had dropped off just a little bit against my own will. Nonetheless I love so many things about it, between the humor, Ash's found family in Kukui/Burnet, Ash's team, the TRio's team and being so entertaining in this series, Team Skull/Guzma (I find Guzma very attractive lol), and of course Ash winning the Alola League which was amazing to experience and be part of that moment! I love the concept of family in this series and it's just so incredibly heartwarming, hilarious, AND heartwrenching all in one. I really need to do a rewatch of it though.
JN: I'm biting my tongue but I really do not like Journeys lol. I don't really wanna talk about it haha it makes me sad that everything I wanted to happen in the future didn't and it was just so poorly written. The only episodes I like honestly are Lillie/Gladion's return and Paul's return.
I KNOW A LOT OF THIS IS KINDA ALL OVER THE PLACE AND DISJOINTED BUT PLEASE ENJOY MY THOUGHTS and feel free to add yours as well!

Hello! Really love your content and have to say I love all the aus on here they either got me screaming or having to lay down to process. Could you please write about dark clavell (and the idea got me thinking about dark Larry too if you don’t mind I love these men so much. Dosent matter if n/sfw your choice)?
I'm going to do my little rambly headcanons because there's just so much stuff I could do with this
Dark/evil!Clavell
Cw: slight yandere, kidnapping, unhealthy relationship
Maybe he's actually the one behind the Paradox project, maybe he's either obsessed with power or knowledge? Maybe he only lets team star run loose to cause Ruckus to draw attention away from finding out more about the Paradox Pokemon and the secrets of the Paldea center.
Maybe he's after the chairwoman spot, wanting to become the most powerful trainer in Paldea. Maybe his plan was to use the time machine to seek for an ultra powerful Pokemon to Aid him. even in death with Arven under his wing at the Academy his parents had no choice but to comply with his wishes.
He's such a sweetheart around the students so they are none the wiser what he actually is like, behind closed doors he is cold-hearted,calculating and a little intimidating. ( based off of his battle theme)
Only playing a part and taking down team star to be in the students good graces. And possibly remove himself from suspect.
When he wants something he will use all his power to get it, he truly believes that he's untouchable, even the chairwoman doesn't know what he actually does behind the scenes.
You are the only one who got close enough to his plans for him to come out and fully stop you, if his Pokemon don't take your team out then he always has a back up plan to make you black out.
He has truly thought of every strategy you might use, because he's probably have been around you long enough to know what kind of Pokemon you use not to mention having the battlefield in a certain way where only his Pokemon would benefit.
You wake up in a place you don't recognize, a highly surveillance room. Clavell does admit that he has taken a sort of liking to you, so he ends up keeping you. As nothing more than a little pet.
He puts a little collar around your neck, petting your chin with his thumb only to chuckle when you try to bite him. he's going to enjoy breaking you~
Nothing like coming home and having you keeping his bed warm, he would take such good care of you, won't you become his good pet?
You wrap a hand around your neck and squeeze it showing you that he has superiority, he may not be able to overpower you physically. but he is a very smart man and can make you submit to him in other ways.

AMITY: PUBLIC VS. PRIVATE KNOWLEDGE
TRIGGER WARNINGS: MENTIONS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE, INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, PARENTAL ABUSE, PARENTAL DEATH, BULLYING, TRAUMA, BROKEN FAMILIES & SLIGHT NEPOTISM. So, not too dissimilar from standard Pokemon topics! /j
Jokes aside, though, Amity's backstory and the knowledge of parts of it can be distressing. I try to avoid describing it in great depth, but caution is advised by the reader. Nothing here is meant to be advocated in any way; I just personally enjoy writing broken characters who choose love instead of falling headfirst into the cycles of toxicity that birthed them!
ALSO, THIS IS LOOOOONG. A whole backstory worth, in fact! Bun Standard at this point! Push the Readmore at your own risk!
PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE : MADE COMMONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH WORD OF MOUTH, TRAINER BIOS, HISTORY & GOSSIP MAGAZINES. AMITY PARTS WITH THIS INFORMATION OPENLY AND EASILY.
Amity, also known as Ami, is a native of the Kiyose Countryside, which is one of the least populated but most historically significant prefectures in Saijikara.
Amity is a direct descendant of the ancient Joy clan—the same Joy clan from which all Nurse Joys originate in one way or another. Though it should be stated that Amity's branch is the original starting point, all Joys originate from Saijikara and have been distributed far and wide throughout the known world from this shared origin!
Amity is the middle child of nine children, having four older full siblings and five younger half-siblings on her mother's side. She bristles at any emphasis placed on the 'half' aspect. They're her siblings; end of all, what does it matter?
Amity is twenty-six years old and was twenty when she first became the Gym Leader of Autumn* (I have a whole deal on Amity's team, but it's an ENTIRELY separate post).
Amity lives on the MASSIVE old Joy estate, which is a twenty-two-acre property (or about seventeen American Football Fields, for reference) that, in an age far gone, housed the aristocratic Joy family in a palace, villa and entertained with extensive gardens, pokemon stables and a training/breeding area and MANY gardens. Today, though, given the small size of the immediate Joy family, Amity has scaled down the property -- changing the deeply manicured and carefully cultivated gardens into naturalized preserves and pockets of authentic nature for her Pokemon and wild Pokemon to enjoy. Whereas the central portions of the property - the palace, first pond, stable/barn & most recently, the regulation battle area, remain perfect time capsules into a time long passed (with a bit of a spooky makeover but not impacting the architecture whatsoever! That was important to Amity!) (there's also one last part of the estate, hidden deep in the back beneath overgrown trees is the ORIGINAL Minka the Joys established before the palace that's been forgotten by time and considered too cursed to even rip down)
Amity is the second youngest gym leader the Region has had in its history (this is due largely to the fact that the Gym Leaders tended to be chosen not due to trainer ability alone but due to being seen as community elders, artisans and spiritualists and it wasn't until recently that they became more open to all walks of life beyond art and experience alone)
Amity is also the second youngest current gym leader on the Saijikaran roster and is fairly decorated for her age! She has earned several badges across continents and in different countries, and she is the Three-Time winner of the Annual Saijikaran-hosted Pokemon Tournament and participated in the Pokemon World Tournament, though not placing as highly as she'd hoped.
Amity is both mixed-race and quad-ethnic. Her father was Mountain-Clan Saijikaran, and her mother was Unovan, Kantonian & Kalosi and had deep roots in each region through distant family. Though Amity is entirely Saijikaran-passing, being her father's daughter more than anything, to the point most wouldn't guess she's mixed until/unless she points it out. Compared to her siblings, who reflect their mother's side more, she won't deny she feels a little blue, though not enough to dislike her appearance or covet anyone else's.
Amity is very well-travelled and has regularly recounted her journeys from Saijikara to the nearby Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos, even showing the sparse, disorganized badges she'd earned in her periods abroad! Though admittedly, these travels all occurred when she was much younger (and her father was alive) - as she's gotten older, any chances for adventure beyond her home have slimmed to nil, though the recent introduction of the Saijikaran to the greater Pokemon League has renewed her hope!
Amity was named by her mother! Though her father tried to sway her to the name Ami, Rhiannon was INSISTENT. Amity meant friendship and friendliness; it denoted warmth—it was the way! And Amity laughs. Her mother always had a way with words, and her father had the backbone of a Dunsparse, so she was and is Amity!
OBSCURE KNOWLEDGE : MORE ESOTERIC DETAILS, LARGELY KEPT IN THE CONFINES OF FAN CLUBS, INTERVIEWS AND GOSSIP MAGAZINES. AVAILABLE IF YOU LOOK FOR IT BUT NOT SURFACE LEVEL. AMITY MIGHT INCLUDE THIS INFORMATION IN LONGER MORE IN DEPTH CONVERSATIONS.
Amity's Pokemon are the 'SOMEONE WILL DIE,' to her 'Of fun!' they are a freaky, violent bunch that genuinely lives up to the Pokedex entries of the earlier game - but thankfully for all, even though most fall on the more vicious or sadistically mischievous and trouble-making side. They ALL listen to her above all and follow the pace she sets. Now - don't get me wrong - I would never call her a Pokemon master, but she is SKILLED at raising, earning, and inspiring respect in her ghosts and keeping them in line!
However, regardless of their brutality on the battlefield, they're the strangest band of little freaks (affectionate), and she adores them all so much! She says as much herself! Describing her role as an 'emotional support human,' and there is no question that their Pokemon and master bond is no different than best friends of years!
Amity's Pokemon ARE dangerous, in the sense that ALL Ghost Pokemon can be - by nature of their creation, they're sewn into a fabric as delicate as souls - sometimes they don't know their power, and sometimes they do and delight in it. But Amity KNOWS (not believes) that when a Pokemon has the will and desire to be better, to find companionship or follow someone they deem worthy, they can overcome the inherent danger of their nature and are just as worthy of love, respect, patience, guidance and honing as any Dragon or Fire Type. She even goes as far as to trust her ghosts with her own life; she has that much faith in her training and their characters.
(*except for Spiritomb, Amity doesn't like to talk about Spritomb because it is a unique case, and on some level, she keeps it close by, not out of trust but more so out of fear of its capacity for hurting humans and delighting in harming humans. Amity knows she's the outlier, not the norm, and she tries hard to work with it, but it's difficult to put it lightly. It wants her affection, her respect and a place by her side, but it has no desire to change its attitude towards other humans; it wants HER to change and follow its ways, and she feels like she's trudging uphill through a snowstorm on the best of days but call her foolish, she has optimism that Spiritomb will change their demeanour someday when it realizes its current way sparks no joy)
AMITY IS NEVER SEEN WITHOUT A HAT; it doesn't have to be her big witch hat! She's always wearing a hat, to the point where it's become something of a joke!
Amity is such a fan of hair dye! She's gone on record for saying that she has never before attended any public or private appearance related to her Gym Leader Status or her roles with her natural hair colour, leading to much debate by fan clubs about what her hair colour actually is! Leading theories are that her hair is either BROWN or BLACK, but Amity makes no public comment!
All of the costumes you see Amity wearing are hand-made! She sews every part of them herself and even creates the more intricate hats and accessories you see her wearing!
If you visit Kiyose through the large train network of Saijikara, you might notice a familiar voice announcing the stop and welcoming you to the prefecture - that voice is, surprisingly, a younger Amity! Back when she was eighteen, the train station was undergoing a complete facelift for appearances, and that included replacing the old, near illegible recordings with new ones. They put out an ad to the local area - Amity needed the money, and history is history! Two years later, she underwent the trials to become an official Gym Leader for the Region (secondary to the job interview process itself, which she had been approved through), and after securing her position, the station was emboldened and doubled down on the recordings, even using them as a further novelty, even though Amity has admitted she finds them embarrassing.
Amity is an orphan and has been an orphan since she was sixteen. First, her biological father, Kija, died in a workplace accident when she was only thirteen, and later, her mother, Rhiannon, suffered complications during childbirth when she was sixteen. After Amity's mother died, her older siblings (largely) left her to fend for herself and upkeep the estate and encouraged her to give up her half-siblings to save her resources. Amity refused and has been caring for her five younger siblings with the aid of extended family and family friends since.
Amity previously served as a Kamuro or personal attendant to the Gym Leader of Mid-Summer, Illumise, in her Youth
Amity's first Pokemon was Whinnie! Her Drifblim! Amity never had a formal introduction to Pokemon like her older siblings, with inherited Pokemon to guide her. She found her own - or rather, her own found her! She occasionally mentions a foundational incident as a child when she 'got lost' and was rescued by Whinnie, who brought her back to humanity, and how that moment saved them both and sparked their career. Most think a lot of THAT is fluff inspiration wording and that the true story is less mutual saving and more her finding and befriending the ghosts.
Amity is a trained Pokemon Nurse, and could have been one of the Nurse Joy's, but due to 'Personal Reasons,' she's never stated to the public (lack of funds, lack of any jobs in the small locality, and needing to be close to home to care for her half-siblings and the estate when it became clear it was all down to her) she ended up having to shelf that dream! She doesn't consider it a waste of time or a waste, though - her lessons come through in the occasional work she does as a homecare nurse for aging people and Pokemon in the nearby town and outskirts and in the naturalized / reserve area of the Estate, and she feels it gives her an edge in battle too!
Amity has a large continuous hypertrophic burn scar running from her wrist to her elbow on her right arm that stands apart from her more pale skin in a dark brown-red hue. She's spoken at length about it and how it limits her mobility and the bad days, especially in relation to League efforts to make training more accessible to trainers with disabilities.
Since she began, Amity's status as the Autumn Gym Leader has been challenged three times, and every time she has won & rebuffed the effort to claim her position!
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE : INFORMATION A PERSON WOULD ONLY KNOW IF THEY WERE LOCAL TO THE AREA AND AROUND AMITY DURING HER FORMATIVE YEARS. AMITY CONSIDERS THESE HEAVIER TOPICS SO, WHILE IMPORTANT, SHE TENDS TO BE MORE CAREFUL ABOUT HOW SHE EXPRESSES SUCH INFORMATION.
Amity's birth hair colour was SALMON PINK, matching her TEAL GREEN EYES! Pretty on par with the common appearance of the Joy family! LIKEWISE—Amity's current natural hair colour (white) isn't a personal choice, and neither is it white-haired anime logic. Amity's white hair is actually a medical condition! It's called CANITIES SUBITA or MARIE ANTOINETTE SYNDROME, and it developed during that small window when she went missing at eight!
EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MINKA INCIDENT GOES HERE. No one in Kiyose believes the fluff wording that 'I wandered off. ' They all know the truth; the now-adult girls involved know the truth. Amity chooses not to drag out the experience, though, as a way of letting that past be laid to rest. She forgave all the girls long, long ago. It's done, it doesn't define her - hell, it gave her two of her best friends (Whinnie and Magnus); she says the town and the others need to let it go. She already has.
On THAT subject, the incident in the Minka lasted two days, give or take a few hours. After the first day and night passed, the girls who had locked her in there returned to release her, fearing she was still in there. Amity, though, was not. She was nowhere in there, and her exact whereabouts for a while were unknown.
What IS known is that after two nights, Amity re-emerged from the forest but in a zombie-like state. Her clothing was ripped, she was missing a shoe, and she was covered in mud, scrapes, cuts, and bruises. Her hair was deathly white and a nest, and her eyes were unfocused and staring straight ahead.
Instead of walking home or even to Illumise's home, Amity sort of stumbled her way to the local schoolhouse, making it in before the bell and without saying a word to anyone. She sat down, staring straight ahead into the distance. Her friends tried to talk with her, and the teacher tried to talk with her. Nothing, no acknowledgement or even sign she'd heard them. In the end, she had to be taken directly from the school to a hospital and showed very little improvement for weeks.
After the incident, Amity struggled with speaking for three years and had extensive speech therapy to overcome the Selective Mutism that developed. Thankfully, her efforts paid off, and she no longer struggles with it. If anything, the experience has given her far more patience and understanding for her nonverbal younger half-brother, Orin.
Amity has no clear recollection of what happened during those two days. She remembers blips of colour, lavender and deep purple, which she assumes are unfocused memories of Whinnie and Magnus finding her and helping her out of the house. But really, she only started picking back up days later, and 'familiar' feelings are what've put pieces together about that time period!
While the closeness between the Gym leader of Spring, Illumise Mikasa, and Amity has been well recorded—to the point where Amity is known to call her Auntie, even in public—the truth is, there is ZERO biological relation between Amity and Illumise. However, Illumise was a close family friend of Amity's father, Kija, and HIS father, Chikao, whom Illumise grew up alongside.
RUMOR HAS IT ILLUMISE ALWAYS HAD FEELINGS FOR CHIKAO AND SECRETLY WISHED SHE HAD THE PLACE OF HIS WIFE AND THAT HIS KIDS WERE HER CHILDREN, but Amity simply chooses not to notice that. She does NOT want to unpack that!
Illumise has been around for Amity's ENITIRE life. She was the nurse working when her mother gave birth to her - she was the family babysitter when Amity grew up - she was the first adult that had rushed to the school to access Amity after she had reappeared from the forest. When Kija died, she was the only one who really stepped up for Amity, giving her a safe place to mourn and to exist outside of her (understandably) resentful older siblings, new half-siblings and her mother's on-and-off boyfriends in the aftermath of Kija's death. When Rhiannon herself died, it was Illumise who became Amity's rock and supported her emotionally when she made the tough decision to continue caring for all of her younger siblings despite the lack of support she would get from her remaining family.
When the Late Gym leader of the Autumn season went into retirement for his health, Illumise raised Amity as her sponsor for the next Gym Leader to take his place. And I hear you, isn't that nepotism? And yes! It is, but that's sort of how the League in Saijikara works! Every gym leader raises a would-be gym leader that they personally sponsor (from their own pool of students/passing past challengers) both financially for the trials and in an honour sense. If a hopeful contestant fails, it's the reputation of the Gym Leader who raised them up who answers for it. And while most failure, like gym battles, isn't considered 'shameful' in a reputation-breaking way -- raising potentials with known problems in personality and personal character WILL, and in most cases, that alone prevents Gym Leaders from sending their ill-fit kin to try and take the role, because the social backlash would be intense enough to the point where it could cost them their own position as well. That being said, there are always situations like Amity's where nepotism is dubious on all levels. Was Amity qualified? Absolutely, she SWEPT the challenges that pitted everything from the depth of thought in team building on an artistic front, to their battle capacity. Did Amity deserve it? I'd argue so. She fought hard on all levels, both in terms of scraping by for equipment and hustling for support BEYOND Illumise (to the point she refused the customary financial incentives typically given when a person is elected by a current gym leader) She did it all, helmed her own ship or so to speak, not only for herself but her younger half-siblings who looked up to her as their primary role model. She wasn't gifted the chance like a cheque over dinner. She EARNED it, receiving the offer after winning a small pot cash prize for participating in a homebrewed battle competition with her then team of four. Now, Illumise felt the decision wasn't kin-based; she felt she was rightful in electing Amity. After all, who knew her better? Who had seen her growth and worthiness better than someone who had been around since the start and watched her grow? But at the end of the day, dubious is dubious, and some will remark that the only reason she got the position was because of Illumise.
That big nasty burn scar on Amity's right arm? That occurred not long after she became a Gym Leader for the first time in an accident. The Pokemon League wanted to update the previously established indoor battle venue on the Joy Estate. Amity agreed and let them have at it, but battles needed to continue. They set up an area in a field with little in the way of environmental hazards; all were up to code on the distances, but being so new to the trade, Amity forgot the most crucial consideration of outdoor battles: the wind and as it turns out, so did the League Representative sent to help Amity set up. The battle started, and things went well for the first half -- Amity had the head and whittled her opponent's team down to a Magby. They cast a flamethrower at Whinnie, Amity's Drifloon(at that point), but the wind changed, and the fiery plume with the accelerant made by Magby blew right into Amity. Setting her aflame and causing her to drop to the ground SCREAMING.
To not go too far into Whinnie's backstory: CHAOS ENSUED, HAVOC WAS UNLEASHED. Several people ran to put Amity out, put fire extinguishers and their small water Pokemon. The heat and the sound of Amity's screaming caused ALL of her Pokemon to unleash themselves and go into a rage. Whinnie had a post-traumatic episode and evolved into a Drifblim. MADNESS, COMPLETE MADNESS. But! EVERYONE SURVIVED, which was the main thing! It was an extremely trying period, but Amity made it out with major but healable burns. The other trainer was okay; both of the Pokemon were panicked, but neither died, and Amity counted her blessings for that alone.
ALTHOUGH DESPITE THE MANTRA OF 'THIS IS FINE, IT HAPPENED, ALL WORKED OUT' SHE STILL FEELS UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNTS OF SHAME FROM THE EVENT. Whinnie, well, Whinnie, with his PTSD, just disobeyed; he stopped listening to Amity entirely - he wasn't anchored in reality. He thought she was dead and believed it with his whole heart - in that split second when the fire took her, and he heard her screaming, she was gone, he was still the little drifloon that was helpless when his other best friend died - Whinnie lost both of them all over again in that split second, he failed them both, he couldn't protect either of them, his best friends were dead, and it was all his fault. but the outlier was, when Whinnie's last friend had passed, there was nothing to blame; it was an accident without recourse to lash out against, BUT THE MAGBY THAT DID IT WAS RIGHT THERE. Staring at his best friend burning - and that alone did it.
Where Whinnie was frozen in terror and shrieking before, seeing Magby watching just brought out something awful. Whinnie stopped and began evolving on the spot. Meanwhile, Amity - now put out, was left in pain and trying to calm all the Pokemon that had broken loose and prevent the situation from getting any bigger - and most did - they were terrified but redirected the attention from 'AVENGE OUR FRIEND' to 'help stabilize her so we can bring to the hospital' does Miracles in de-escalating. Some of her more reliable ones even returned to the balls, much to her relief, but Whinnie, her boy, didn't. She looked over to see him evolve, and just as soon as she'd called his name. He grabbed that Magby in its arms, constricted it to the point that the entire situation was drawn from Amity to this Magby screaming bloody murder and took off high into the sky. Amity knew in an instant what Whinnie was going to do: take it as high as it could and throw it down to kill it - like Wingulls with Pincurchin. And she was SCREAMING for Whinnie to listen and get back down to NOTHING. He would've KILLED that Magby; she knows it. If it hadn't been for the lucky break that Spiritomb had been in her team and intervened with hypnosis, putting Whinnie to sleep on her behalf... she knew how that situation would've ended. & That fact alone haunts her; in the end, the whole situation amounted to nothing more than a big accident, no major punishments or reprimands needing to be taken other than her gym being suspended until the internal construction was complete, and a harsh reminder that Pokemon are still animals at the end of the day. (mind you, though, she was ACTIVELY ON FIRE for most of the situation, so take her judgement & harshness on herself with a big grain of salt)
Who would've guessed that being really good at forgiving OTHERS doesn't translate very well to forgiving YOURSELF. On that note, though, Amity's forgiveness isn't lip service or a superficial effort to make herself seem or look better. It's genuine! When she says no hard feelings, she means no hard feelings!
Going back to the burning incident, that trainer that accidentally had her nearly burned: she was a childhood friend, not a frenemy, a TRUE friend who had come to train with Amity on the grounds for so, so long. They knew each other, they knew each other's Pokemon, they were close, and after the incident, there were no hard feelings. Amity was the one that brought up a rematch - no Whinnie involved - and apologized deeply for the entire situation. The trainer didn't expect that; god knows, she was in tears apologizing on her and Magby's behalf and weeping at the sight of Amity's arm, but even though the incident did leave Amity permanently damaged, Amity wouldn't let it do that to her friendship, too. And with Magby, even despite everything - they're pretty close, too. Amity visited them in the Pokemon Centre as soon as she could after the battle to make sure they were okay. She knew she wasn't mad, that it was okay, and that it was an accident. That's just Amity's character!
Anyone in Kiyose knows Amity's team has gone through SO MANY CHANGES, and she frequently switches her buildup between the active Pokemon she has on rotation. Typically, Whinnie is involved, except in the year after the fire incident, when he was benched for his mental health.
Amity can often be seen wearing what appears to be a mechanical brace on her left arm that's been covered in a cloth sock of sorts that's been painted and themed like the anatomic view of a skeleton forearm. Most chalk it up to a fashion statement, especially given Amity's witchy wardrobe and alternative fashion choices, but it's not! Beneath the arm warmer / brace cover is a medical elbow brace! She's SUPPOSED to wear it every day, but because she is young and optimistic (read: dumb) and unwilling to listen to her body, she chooses to wear it only during painful flare-ups from the scar tissue.
Also, funnily enough, while Amity and the family HAVE A WHOLE PALACE out here, Amity actually LIVES, and SLEEPS in the refurbished, furnished, insulted, etc. barn of the property for the sole reason that its large size makes it more accessible to her fully evolved Pokemon that want to sleep close to her and get cuddles in a way they can't in the palace! Sadly, when puppies get big, they don't always appreciate how large they get!
PRIVATE KNOWLEDGE : KNOWLEDGE ONLY KNOWN TO HER DIARIES AND THE CLOSEST PEOPLE TO AMITY. DOES NOT PART WITH THIS INFORMATION LOOSELY AND SOME FRIENDS NEVER LEARN.
Behind closed doors? Everyone who knows her well KNOWS she's the embodiment of the tired but determined 'We Stay Silly'
SHE IS SO DEEPLY CLOSETED IN HER SEXUALITY THAT IT IS NOT FUNNY. Unfortunately, it's the most significant and overlooked aspect of the VISCOUS early bullying she faced as a girl. Yes, Amity was desperate for friendship and social validation. Still, she was hopelessly smitten with the main girl who was orchestrating the bullying, and it coloured so much of her experience. Of course, there is the gaslighting and reliance on the fact that Amity was an awkward, nerdy, not very socialized girl otherwise rejected by her older siblings, so being told 'this is what friendship is' does have additional meaning there. But even her Aunt Illumise could see it; she practically worshipped her and doted after her, hungry for affection and attention, and that alone was why she desperately held on to the idea that maybe, deep down, they actually were friends and that she DID love her back. It was what led to her putting up with abuse after abuse and humiliation until The Forgotten Minka incident -- after that, Amity sort of shut down towards them. There was no explosive ratting or revenge; they tried to 'make it up' and 'explain,' but there was no going back. Amity simply didn't care anymore. After that, though, she never really REVISITED her sexuality, too much in her personal life going on to consider such trifling matters. Not until her status as a public figure and Gym Leader brought it back to the forefront of gossip and interviews, like a forgotten bag of trash. Amity was the second youngest Gym Leader, the third youngest in recorded history and a GIRL. Everyone wants to know about sweethearts. Do you have any courters or plans? Family in the future? What about Natsuo, the young cherry-season Gym Leader?
HER FAMILY IS SUCH A HOT MESS IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. Amity has very sparse to no contact with her older siblings; they consider her a 'traitor' for refusing to kick out her mother and then her half-siblings and a failure for refusing to follow through on being an esteemed Pokemon nurse, and for not keeping the entire property to the former standard it had when they were growing up. Amity's younger half-siblings are mostly oblivious to the tension of their family. Still, they're not stupid, and she can tell that the older they get, the more they can see and appreciate her wearing at the seams from the stress, but she doesn't WANT them to bear that burden of feeling like they've ruined her life. They didn't! She adores them! They can't help that their mother, well, she set all the dominos to this inevitable conclusion. & Amity's late mother was - well, she was PROBLEMATIC; she stole THOUSANDS from Amity and her sisters' Survivor's Benefits from Kija's death. She forced them all to endure her NUMEROUS failed, toxic and unstable relationships after Kija's death, isolated them from their extended family (which were judgemental of her decisions), and hid the truth that THEY owned the family home and had inherited it. She set them all up like meat shields for herself, she steered them from a comfortable existence into a more impoverished one - she kept having kids to try and fill a hole in her, and most unforgivable to Amity, she just LEFT them. She died, of course; she probably wouldn't have chosen that, but it's the cherry on top of her. Amity's mother created a teetering tower of unstable blocks and ran away before watching it crash. Now it's only Amity and these innocent children, and she's barely more than a child herself trying to make the scraps WORK! And while Amity TRIES and TRIES to forgive her, tries to fully understand and put together the pieces of her mother's troubled, troubled life to understand herself that her mother had... demons, ones she was thankful to not experience, it's so hard to not feel so angry. Her anger is a void in her stomach, and she's felt it so long and hard that it's nothing more than a festering void.
Amity misses her Dad SO MUCH MORE THAN HER MOM. She has grieved for her Mom, but less for the person she WAS and more for who she COULD have been and the relationship they COULD have had.
Being that most of her siblings were SO young when their mother died, many of them have only ever known Amity as their mother, and this... well. It sparks that dysmorphia; of course, there's the joke about the 'world's youngest milf,' but truly? Amity is not their mother. Their mother was an awful, awful person; the comparison is claws in her chest, and it really puts into perspective EVERYTHING; she's raising her siblings; her siblings ARE her children, and she didn't have a single say in it. She's a mom, but mentally? She's not. She hates being a mom; she wishes she could just be their sister again, and it could be carefree - or at least FEEL more carefree.
When Amity was first called 'mom!' by the twins, they were so happy about it. Their little chests puffed up with pride, and their smiles were as wide as a Gengar's, and, to them, I think they felt they were clicking in that piece of what was missing. Sort of a 'maybe she never asked us 'cause she's SCARED we'll forget mom, but we'll show her! It's okay! She's our mom!' but it was distinctly the opposite, and she could barely hold back the tears until they ran off to play, and she was left alone with the emotions.
When Amity's mom died, her then-boyfriend (father to the twins) was still living with them. Now, Amity didn't actually WANT to kick him out and potentially disrupt the horrifically tenuous situation even further, or at least, not IMMEDIATELY, he was an absolutely useless scumbag, but unfortunately, her mother brought him around. The kids had become attached and had already experienced one loss, so should she throw another right at them? For her ego? She couldn't. She grinned and bared it for them and vowed to keep her distance. The palace IS big, but unfortunately, it was not big enough for his ego. He should've been happy, free board, and his kids were being cared for; there was no pressure from Amity. But she assumes he wanted to be 'the boss', not her, to have a say but do no work, and what that translated to was being cruel to her and her siblings. He had to GO, so Amity packed up the kids for a fun night with their Auntie so she could handle things and finally cut the leech loose, and it didn't go well. It went SPECTACULARLY wrong, in fact. She was eighteen and relatively petite; at least, she had to guess this guy was in his early thirties. It escalated fast, and between the screaming, she got the hell beat out of her but took bites out of him and eventually, it took her, a knife, and her Pokemon to heave the fucker out. She called up Illumise that night and asked that she keep the kids for the entire week; she explained a little but not much, and that whole experience and the follow-up sort of changed everything about the reality they were living in. He never showed up again after that (A part of Amity is convinced her Haunter, Magnus, caught up to him and either killed him or scared him in a way he wouldn't come back from), but what happened happened. And Amity's oldest (but still younger) sister, at sixteen, sort of broke out of the haze of fully taking Amity at her word. She remembers returning and seeing what she thought were poorly covered-up bruises, Amity with nothing but good news, and that guy... gone. She didn't miss him, but she knew somehow, somehow Amity was lying, and it sort of altered things.
On the family subject, Amity knows she's never having biological kids. Will she adopt and be an older sister and maternal figure to any lost person who follows her home? Absolutely, but she's never going through with pregnancy, giving birth, or raising immediate children from her. She can't; she simply can't mentally.
THOUGH I WILL ALSO SAY EVEN THOUGH ITS THE MOST OPEN SECRET, SHE LOVES AND REMEMBERS EVERYONE WHO'S COME TO STUDY UNDER HER AND DO THE OCTOBER / FALL TRIALS. She has pictures of every graduating class since she started and keeps in touch with all of them. It's the guiltiest delight she has. She loves her old friends! She wants them to succeed. I guarantee that she'd show up if they invited her to anything.
What is the biggest reason Amity is always wearing hats? It's not for the aesthetic or even to hide her hair's white roots. It's because the CANITIES SUBITA that caused her hair to be completely white is joined in hellish union with ALOPECIA AREATA, and she gets these spots, the size of quarters, where the hair falls out in ugly clumps when she's too stressed out. Amity hates it, but the hats make it so much easier to hide!
SECRET KNOWLEDGE : INFORMATION ABOUT AMITY THAT NOT EVEN SHE KNOWS / IS ONLY KNOWN TO THE GODS AND THE WRITERS
Amity isn't exactly... human. A part of her IS human, but, well— it's complicated. To make it simpler, let's go back in time, all the way back to that fateful day with the Haunted House, when the local mean girls locked her inside the Forgotten Minka and barred the door to prevent her from escaping. Laughing all the while saying that she'll be food for the Gengar. This, the betrayal & terror all caused Amity to have a panic & asthma attack in the House, clawing at the door and then her own neck trying to breathe.
According to Amity's recollection, it was after this panic that Whinnie (a drifloon then) approached her, then Magnus (a haunter) emboldened by Whinnie, seemingly as scared as she was, trying to soothe her crying and calm her down. This is true... but it's not the entire story. Whinnie and Magnus only found Amity after the Legendary, ancient Pokemon found her.
The Legendary Pokemon had been hibernating and licking its wounds for centuries since its last battle with the Seasonal Quartet of the Saijikara region. But Amity's death throes awoke it from its slumber and drew it from its hiding place, deep in the skeleton of the Abandoned Minka. It approached the dying, terrified, gasping Amity and prepared to do what it's always done — steal her identity and her life. But this is where things became... complicated; Amity, while scared, was in a place between death and life, beyond pain, kind of delirious and in a way, she knew she was dying and was happy it wouldn't be alone. She THOUGHT the legendary Pokemon was, well, a normal Pokemon, one she just hadn't seen before, so she embraced it like one. Reaching out and embracing it, forgiving it because, on some level, she knew the truth, it was going to eat her after she died, and she was fading fast. But, despite it, she forgave it, gave it her blessing, and loved it. Her terror turned to delirium and turned to relief and gratefulness not to be alone.
The Legendary Pokemon watched it all, and it couldn't... process it, it understood, but they couldn't understand— it wanted to understand, but it couldn't. Not in that form, at least, but Amity's dying moments touched it deeply, and when it took her genetic material (bit her corpse's arm off) to replicate her through its own body and power.
It was at that point that Whinnie and Magnus found her, or rather, the Legendary (essentially), wearing her skin and mimicking her tears and panic that had stopped in death moments before.
What was intended as a sneaky attempt to assimilate her identity into it, turning her life into a mask to hide behind and escape the Seasonal Quartet, and all other legendaries it had pissed off along the way, was turned on its head. The direct copy of Amity, which it (essentially) cloned within itself to piggyback on, became an ENRAPTURING experience. The Legendary Pokemon was riding as co-pilot in Amity's body, but her mind, her heart -- the Legendary Pokemon saw it both and could finally understand and FEEL the way she felt through her spirit melded with its, and it loved it. It loved her, a little at first, but what started as a mask consumed the Legendary. It had no desire to burst from its vessel and destroy her; it loved her, it loved living through her, loved BEING her, loving through her, it loved her mind and her family and slowly, in time, it BECAME her.
The Legendary didn't assimilate Amity; Amity assimilated IT through her humanity and the bundle of traits unique to humans that the Legendary wasn't capable of on its own.
In that way, Amity is not human. Her body is something between human and the beast that took her corpse and replicated it through the DNA gathered, and her spirit? It's inseparably fused with the Legendary Pokemon. Amity WAS human, but her human self died and was resurrected enough to almost hijack this Legendary that was so overjoyed to embrace the change her body and mind gave it.
AMITY DOES NOT KNOW THAT SHE IS FUSED WITH THIS LEGENDARY, THOUGH. If you even brought up the theory to her, she'd think you were on crack. The idea is ABSURD to her, but there are things about herself that are perfectly explained by this explanation, even if she could never see it.
MISC THINGS EXPLAINED / ORIGINATING BECAUSE SHE IS PART LEGENDARY
The fact that Amity is seemingly immune or otherwise unbothered/unable to be possessed by the arcane and ghostly forces of both her preferred Pokemon types and the mysteries she's often pulled into. Amity is SURROUNDED by Hex Maniac and Possessed Channelers, and yet she's never faltered in that respect, even when training notably difficult Ghost Pokemon for reasons she cannot explain. She jokes about being a ghost-buster, but for some reason, her jokes have more than a bit of truth in them.
Enenra, Amity's Spiritomb, was already a powerful Pokemon and general spirit when she first encountered it and exorcised it from its former home/point of terrorizing humanity in the unearthed archeological site, where it had previously claimed the lives of five workers. But when it met Amity, it met its match, not only in battle but on a mental ground. Enenra tried to attack and weasel into her mind to possess her. It met a brick wall each time. Enenra assumed it was Whinnie or one of her other Pokemon stepping in to provide a mental block so nothing could possess her or creep into her subconscious, but even on her own, Amity was untouchable to it. It made no sense to Enenra, and only served to make Amity more of an enigma. But with the legendary dwelling within her that LOVES her and has converted their relationship to something symbiotic AND powerful? It makes more sense!
AND OF COURSE, THE BODY. In the post-game of HER story, she and the trainer, Summer, joined forces to finally deal with the matter of the Forgotten Minka and clear it of dangerous ghost Pokemon -- and bind the malevolent spirits to a keystone to protect the public and ensure no one else is made a victim of that building. In doing this, they discover a HORROR SHOW, to put it lightly. High-level ghost double battle encounters, disorganized messes of rubble, furniture weathered to ruins and a false imitation of a normal, traditional home, untouched by time but the errieness of that was nothing compared to the several decidedly human skeletons amidst the remains of Pokemon. All decomposed to nearly dust, and thankfully, Summer was none the wiser, remarking only that there were a lot of 'old Halloween decorations' and deducing the building must have been a former storage area for Amity (Amity didn't correct her) but Amity knew the truth and after dismissing Summer with a new, high level, shiny, one of a kind Spiritomb made from unresting spirits of the Minka. She turned her attention to the elephant in the room: the bodies. She called EVERYONE, shaking with the waning adrenaline as she stared at the remains, too terrified to move and for the first time in over a hundred years, the Minka was BUZZING with life. The poor people were collected and removed, and the entire building was swept through twice over. Their deaths were confirmed to be the result of Pokemon attacks DECADES earlier, though that as much could've been told by the broken, old Pokeball shells beside some of them and the faded, tattered clothing & all but one of them was given back their old names and returned to their family to be laid to rest, all but the smallest skeleton, no bigger than waist height, a child - a child with more clothing than all the rest - still clad in a faded flowery dress and missing an arm. That child, their bones (the original Amity, for clarity) HAUNTED Amity deeply, and even after she was given the clear on the building - something felt so WRONG. Why, why did they seem so familiar? Why did no one come forward to identify them and claim their child? They couldn't have been any older than six... and why, why did the sandal found near the body match the one she remembered wearing from The Incident?
BUT I WOULD ALSO BE REMISS NOT TO MENTION THE HIVE INCIDENT, so, after Amity and the others went through the Minka, she expected a sense of peace, a feeling of levity. After all, she conquered such a traumatic incident from her past and reclaimed it! She took her torment and gave it life and soul and a loving partner so it would never hurt again, AND YET, the uneasiness didn't wane. It only got worse - she was expected to open the Minka back up soon, and yet something in her gut screamed, IT'S STILL NOT SAFE, THERE IS DANGER, and while her loved ones TRIED to comfort her, it did little. She blamed herself for the former hiker and trainers' deaths. She wouldn't let anyone else be hurt - not on her watch or her conscience. Even if it meant putting HERSELF in the line of fire. One night, after sending her siblings to stay with their Auntie Illumise, she took Voltaire and Laverna to the house and began dismantling and destroying. Tearing up floorboards, opening walls, ANYTHING. Her feeling had weight, she knew it, she just HAD to find it before someone stumbled into it! That's when she fell, or rather, the three of them fell. The crashing and pulling at the seams of the Minka caused the aged wood to give way, revealing a deep tunnel hidden beneath the structure, carved deep into the stone base the entire structure had been built on, with claw marks as big as her arm. But the horror of the size of the creature that must have made the tunnel - and the power it had to possess was shortlived when Voltaire ventured further, and his light illuminated nothing but hundreds of feet of pure hive and EGGS, not Pokemon eggs, something different, the size of her fists, maggot white and ovate. Something like Amity had never seen, not in her lifetime. She'd wanted to run, but something inside of her refused. It was the Legendary, woken like a sleeper agent, gripping hold of her body in a way she couldn't explain, only long enough to order Voltaire to 'burn it all' before letting go and letting Amity and her Pokemon escape. Before Amity could renege on her order, the comb was alight, and soon, the flame took over. Leading the Trio to escape and Amity to real from WHAT THE HELL THAT WAS. She chalks it up to adrenaline and disgust, but it's not... no, while those hives weren't any immediate danger, the Legendary couldn't allow them to live longer - it had no need of them, no, it would never split with Amity and require The Swarm again. And its continued existence, a vestigial branch of its true form, would only serve to potentially expose it and hurt Amity -- and it would never hurt Amity, not on purpose. To quote my friend in the group chat, “I’ve had Amity for a fraction of my existence, but if anything happened to her, I’m killing the planet and then myself”.
THE LEGENDARY, HOWEVER, IS NOT FULLY GONE INSIDE HER; it lives on and prevents itself from being fully absorbed if only to live this life it has built with its favourite person unfold and to relish what it means to be truly alive and mortal (in a sense). BUT IT CAN BE BROUGHT OUT AND BUGGED TO THE POINT OF SHOWING ITSELF. However, such cases always end in death and bloodshed and will only come if Amity, and its beloved, cherished life is threatened in a way that truly matters.
ALSO BASIC KNOWLEDGE ON THE LEGENDARY POKEMON INSIDE HER:
It's an alternate reality, paradox version of Giratina, dubbed Vespidoza by the ancient people of Saijikara.
It is a BUG / GHOST type that cannot breed, doesn't evolve or transform beyond switching through three distinct stages of existence, henceforth dubbed Parasitoid, Swarming and Soaring.
Vespidoza does lay eggs, though—the eggs for the swarm that constantly surrounds it. They aren't really related, more so functioning as mini-clones rather than independent entities, and ancient texts refer to them as 'mouths with wings'.
Vespidoza's power largely comes from its ability to create massive swarms, measuring millions, that it can control with little more than its mind and the spectral magics it was formed from.
These swarms could, in a matter of moments, reduce cities to nothing and strip Tyranitar to nothing more than bones. They were, as an understatement - DEVASTATING to any Region it unleashed itself on.
For that reason, the Legendary and Mythical Pokemon of any region it decided would be the victim to the latest swarming event would come out of hiding to metrically kick its ass with all the power it could muster and typically, the efforts worked if only to put an end to the current swarm.
However, NEVER were ANY of the Legendary Pokemon or Pokemon of Myth able to kill it definitively. Like the pest it was, it would always manage to slip away - create mass, hidden caverns of hive beneath the earth, hidden in plain sight for the next century's Swarm and go into hibernation to gather its strength until it can detect death near its location. Which serves as its spectral cue to emerge and hijack the identity of the dying to facilitate its return and act as a living yolk to empower it until it's ready to split its host body into pieces and fly free to wreak havoc again.
Now, where did it come from? Vespidoza was recorded as far back as the Saijikaran region itself and in records earlier from nearby locations, so its methods of leaking into this world are a mystery. & Given the power of its counterpart, Giratina, it's easy to assume its power is probably due to it muscling through a rip left in space-time by the creation of our reality.
Past aside, I CANNOT understate how deeply Amity has changed the very fibre of who Vespidoza was. It will remain forever to fuel her, if need be, and silently watch if it means her light will keep it warm. It ADORES her, and the worst ending / Rainbow Rocket nonsense follows after a new innovation that was made to aid in the Nihilego apocalypse ended up exposing her as being not entirely human - Amity consented to basic tests, which ended up revealing Vespidoza inside her -- she panicked, but they delighted and wanted to run tests that were more dangerous. She didn't consent. It didn't matter. She ran away but was quickly caught, and the Amity's humanity died, leaving Vespidoza to emerge from her corpse in true horrifying Parasitic Wasp fashion, but it's emerging was not joyous. It grieved hard and was filled with so much anger and hatred over Amity's obvious murder. With it now capable of HUMAN EMOTIONS, it takes personal vengeance against ALL of humanity, starting with the people responsible for killing Amity before moving on to the rest of the world and letting all fall to the Swarm.

Just had an idea for your 'Emmet reunites with Ingo is funny ways' fic. (You don't have to write it, just a scenario you can imagine)
Have you ever heard of the theory that Elvis never died but became a fast food worker in a different state? They constantly laugh at it in the book Good Omens but it's a real theory.
Well imagine: Emmet has decided that he wants some junk food, maybe it's a bad day and he needs a pick me up or it's a good day and he decided to treat himself. He going to get quite a bit so that he can binge watch train documents until early morning cos its one of those days, he might even order more if Elesa is invited.
He goes into a small time fast food chain (maybe he's in Unova and it's one he used to visit or maybe he's in Sinnoh and it's recommended) and at the counter he's face to face with Rei/Akari and Ingos in the back flipping burgers.
It's 2023, inflation hasn't made it easy to house a time displaced full grown man. Even though they could make some money battling, they don't want Ingo to be in the spotlight as a professional battler just yet as he's only just gotten used to some modern things.
Thankfully this fast food chain is known for taking on anyone regardless if they are qualified and the food and equipment is simple enough for Ingo to use, helps that it isn't really popular too. Rei/Akari works with him to help him adjust and to help with any food rushes.
So yeah. There Emmet is, standing in front of his adopted nephew/niece and his long lost brother handing him a tray of a dozen fries, burgers, nuggets and a slushpuppy while in an apron and goofy hat.
Omg anon, what would your reaction be if I showed you one of my wips with this idea. It's been months since it's been a things in my phone's note app and I had completely forgotten.
LOOK AT THIS (far from complete but oop-):
The seat felt uncomfortable under him, but Emmet didn't have any other option than endure it, self imposed suffering as it was. He had promised Iris he would take her out to eat wherever she chose if she managed to regain her title as champion. Defeating Rosa, after all, was no easy feat. Not only was she one of the region's heroes, but also a regular at the Battle Subway. Emmet knew first hand how difficult, how fun and challenging, it was to fight her.
And finally, after a year and a half of frustrated training sessions and manic strategizing, Iris rose as champion of Unova once more. Enduring it was.
That didn't mean he wasn't enjoying himself, though. Emmet usually had some time set apart for socializing with family and friends at least twice a week, so it wasn't a matter of social battery. Just the wooden seats.
He could understand from an objective point of view why this particular restaurant had them. it was aiming for an 'old era' feeling, with high barstools, wooden furniture and walls, gentle light coming from paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling... There were also sepia photos filling the walls to the brim with pictures of extinct pokemon and historical figures, of which Emmet only managed to recognize profesor Laventon. If he looked more closely, maybe he would distantly recognize more from his time in school, but he had no interest. He had a set schedule, a point of arrival already in sight.
To have a fun night out with his favorite (and only) cousin.
Why this place, he had asked Iris. To try something different had been her reasoning, of course.
The restaurant wasn't as bombastic as the usual Nimbasan ones, not even Unovan. A fairly new restaurant that focused on 'traditional Sinnoh' cuisine. He usually wouldn't trust such bold statements in Unova of all places, yet all reviews of people who came from Sinnoh had seemed surprised in a good way.
Emmet's preferences had always been to traverse the same tracks over and over again. Always the same. But it was Iris who was asking, and for family Emmet would go a long way. Especially since...
Must have been verrrry fun to battle Rosa again. Emmet wondered when the girl would show up in the Battle Subway, since now she had the free roam being champion didn't allow her. Emmet hoped Rosa chose the Doubles. He would see her regardless, but he verrrry much hoped for the Doubles line.
Emmet was sure Ingo would have been delighted to see Rosa challenging the Battle Subway again. He sighed. Damn it, he had been avoiding the thought of his twin so well lately, too. It hurt to be glad about it, but Emmet was so, so tired of the constant agony. He was sure Ingo would forgive him, just this once.
"Heeeeeeyoooo, Nimbasa to Emmet! Are you there?"
"I am Emmet. I am here. In front of you."
Aaaaaand that's about all I have written out. From there it would go on a funny reunion with chef Ingo, waiter Melli and a Karen. Melli vs Karen the ultimate showdown. Poor Ingo.
Lmao, I wanna get back to writing fanfic so bad, but I really really shouldn't right now.
