world record - the discovery of ixtas

About 10 years ago, Akras Summoning Hall (i will now be referring to it as ASH) detected the existance of a world named Ixtas that possessed a highly advanced civilization.

ASH had already been conducting research into other worlds besides Grand Gaia and Ishgria since the time of the Legendary Summoner, and after the collapse of the Abel Faction of the Elgaia Federation, the rate of knowledge increased by absorbing some of its information and technology that it had possessed. They then succeeded in developing a system to detect the existence of other worlds.

Suddenly, a large otherworldly presence signal appeared in the system in an area that had previously been deemed empty. The reason its existence suddenly came to light was because a local scientist, Gustav Fabraska, had shut down their shield system (which hid Ixtas' existence from other worlds) in order to defect.

Having learned of Ixtus' reaction from Ana, Noel, Lugina, and Roy went to the location using the interdimensional travel system.

Coincidentially, high-ranking officials of the Ixtas government were shaken by the brutal murder of the guards who had been sent to capture Gustav, and Akras succeeded in establishing relations through an exchange of technological and military power.

Afterwards, Gustav Fabraska remained missing, and the identity of the murderer of Ixtas' guards remained a mystery. However, around this time, ASH became aware of the existence of an organization operating secretly in several other worlds, and continued to investigate under the leadership of Lugina, who also serves as the head of the Otherworldly Investigation Department.

Through the interactions with Ixtas, the technology of ASH improved dramatically. Until then, the positional relationships between different worlds had only been roughly understood. The dimensional location information of each world is called the Boundary Coordinate. By synchronizing the Boundary Frequencies, two worlds are able to connect and people are able to travel between dimensions to a precise location.

Joint research and development has progressed in recent years, with one result of this being the invention of a portable gate generator. There are still many issues with this technology, such as its limited energy capacity, time constraints, and the limited number of times it can be generated, making it unable to transport large amounts of people or goods. The accuracy of targeted locations is also low, so it only can be used for rough inter-dimensional travel.

The devices themselves are still very expensive and rare, so only a very small number of people (such as Elder Summoners) possess them.

On the other hand, large fixed devices have been able to keep gates of a stable size open for some time now, allowing for the movement of people and goods. Operating facilities and generating energy at this level is still extremely difficult, so it's not something that ordinary private organizations can own.

For this reason, the cooperation of ASH is essential for the people of Elgaia to travel to Grand Gaia, in terms of interdimensional travel, safety, and crisis management, and the Hall provides services in cooperation with private companies, such as Elgaia Travel.
