anyways sometimes I feel like putting my mass communication major to good use by analysing modern advertising of modern musicals that are either like really popular, those that become cult classics over time (ride the cyclone), and those that fell out of the public eye because of lack of traction (watt kinda fits here) like I genuinely wanna do a ramble series on that

#and then i remember that not only do i have a very busy acad and extracurricular and family life #i also have adhd #so #fuck me i guess #but i really do wanna like analyze this especially for broadway and off broadway musicals in recent years #because like fhjdd rn the current state of broadway is that off those that are backed by strong IPs or rich prod people survive #but those that are more unconventional both in theming and in production stuffs fall behind #and yet somehow these unconventional musicals are what remains strong in the public eye #one very prominent example of this is RIDE THE CYCLONE #i dunno like fjdjd i just find it interesting how a creation or a production gains prominence through either consistent advertising #or just by accident or unintentional means like bootlegs #i dunno like im really rambling rn but i do find it interesting #anyways #personal shit
