hold the fuck up. emet answered one of my questions & i just realised it. murder was likely frowned upon in ancient times as well & it's the 'not guilty of murder if i kill you' line that hints at it. truly he is the gift that keeps on giving

#ffposting #emey selchie tag #[writing this down as i start elaborating on the lachesis murder plot (during which lachesis murders someone)]#i dont think its smth that fazed emet emotionally specifically because of the way he is about death #but its def smth he wouldnt have condoned on principle. in my opinion. based on all that i know of the ancient world #& hes one of those rules lovers.... you know... lol. not that he threw lachesis to the wolves abt it #im like tweaking & tweaking the storyline there. hmmm.#perhaps emet catching lachesis there was the point where they soul bonded bc it was 100% self defense #i dont think he had ever seen lachesis in such distress before i feel like even he could gleam smth was horribly wrong #its important that 1. he finds him 2. they soul bond 3. he argues lachesis' case as him doing it for the betterment of the star #as smth that 'had to be done'#& lachesis wasnt azem yet at the time i dont think. emets endorsement of this kind of made lachesis a good candidate for it somehow #as like someone ballsy enough to do something frowned upon for the sake of the world. on a superficial level that would be lauded #but like we know azem faced censure lol its only a good thing when it benefits the convocation... but anyway...
