My Invader Zim hyperfix is slowly coming back I can feel it in my right ribcage so expect some more doodles and small one shot fics here and there. Still working on my fanfics (It’s Just Puberty is coming along very very slowly for that last chapter) I just have some other projects in other fandoms now!!

I’ve never really been open with it here but my overall special interest has always been Undertale and it’s AUs, and I’ve fallen back into it lmao. I’ll get to making content of our alien human boys again very soon. ^^

oh yea!! none of that stuff is good and i dont condone it at all. i think the best approach is informing people of How it’s wrong and its effects, not doxxing or harrassing or suicide baiting people over it

and im sorry for lashing out.. im just really tired of seeing “fiction doesnt affect reality” everywhere because it. it does. thats the kind of argument that pedophiles use to groom minors into thinking fictional porn of minors is okay because “theyre not real”. the characters may not be real, but it has a very real psychological effect on the viewer. i was just talking with my therapist about it last week; she has a postdoctorate in child psychology and completely agreed that theres a very strong correlation between fiction’s affect on reality.

its just kinda fucked up now in hindsight knowing zim is like 160 in earth years, and even if its not true and we dont know his exact age hes an adult (“ive been flying ships since before you were born”), meanwhile dib is not even a teenager yet hes like 10-12

ive actually been in the iz fandom since like 2010 so im not really even up in arms about zadr at this point even if i dont like it because ive gotten so desensitized to seeing it over the past decade since i was 7. like i really just dont care anymore. it was honestly worse when i was younger on deviantart around the 2008-2013 days. it seems more tame nowadays from what ive seen but still ive never actively searched for it so i dont really know. but yeah i knowww...... i really miss when the most heated people got was over the hot topic gir discourse in like 2013 lol.

FIRST of all imma preface this by mentioning this particular OC has developed way beyond being an invader zim fan character and actually has her own lore and backstory and like world that i made up myself but im here 2 talk about an alternate universe in which she exists in the zim universe!

SECOND of all..her name is GB and like yes. i know. but also i made her when i was literally a child of like..10/11 years of age so pls dont bully me sdgfhsdjf i say this so that when i mention her name u guys dont think im referring to mySELF 

OK NOW LETS GET TO IT here’s what I had in mind for her

GB is a shapeshifter; a being that can change her physical appearance to literally anything else, including having the ability to copy other peoples appearances. for example she could take one look at someone else and then shift to look exactly like them. most of the time she appears as a human, cause that’s whats safest and also their ‘default’ form.

She lived in a clan in the woods with other shapeshifters who were hiding from humans. Her mother was the leader of the aforementioned clan, but she passed away during childbirth. Thus, when GB was old enough to become the leader (which was actually sort of young) the position was passed on to her. Having a total lack of direction (not really being raised by any sort of proper parents,) coupled with just being young was a bad combination, though, and the power easily went to her head. She wasn’t cruel to her people, just more or less annoying, bossy, and destructive with her decisions. 

Eventually though it was enough for everyone to get sick of her SO her clan came up with an elaborate lie that the humans were going to tear down the forest that they lived in, and they told her that they all needed to leave by a certain date. But they all left a day early, and (purposefully) left behind one important thing..her. Not one of them ever came back.

Convinced that humans were behind this, GB set out to search far and wide for her people. She lived off the street, using her powers to manipulate people into giving her a place to stay or food to eat, surviving on the bare minimum, completely convinced that one day she would come across at least one person like her. She lived like this for years, desperately searching for her clan that just wanted rid of her all on her own..when she came across something curious.

A little green dog ran up to her, screeching about how his ‘master’ needed help. GIR leads her to Zim, who became injured somehow and was laying unconscious on the sidewalk. GB lies and claims to have medical experience and agrees to help him–secretly it’s only because she plans on robbing his house while he’s knocked tf out. She grabs Zim and GIR leads them to the base.  

Unfortunately Zim wakes up as soon as she enters the base, ruining her plans to rob him. As you can imagine, Zim freaks out because there’s a human seeing him undisguised in the base. GB freaks out because she’s face to face with an alien. Zim plans to erase her memory or ‘dispose’ of her another way, but in a moment of desperation GB reveals she isn’t human. Zim is intrigued. The two make a deal–GB will give Zim information about humans and also do his bidding for him while disguised as a human, if Zim will provide her with a roof over her head. Secretly, they are both against each other–Zim plans on betraying her and using her as an experiment in order to harness her powers after he’s done with her, and GB wants to kill him and use his technology to take over humanity as revenge and maybe even find her clan in the process.

Things work out for a while. GB does his bidding as promised (stealing things from stores by shapeshifting or pretending to be a human, giving him “information” about humans, kidnapping people/animals for experiments or plans, literally whatever he asks) and Zim lends her an extra storage closet as a room. Behind each other’s backs, they’re both plotting the moment that they plan to betray each other. Wanting rid of Zim for good this time, the Tallests send him a new ship and a ‘secret mission’ to a dangerous planet. The crew go on this mission together and as soon as they arrive at their coordinates, the ship ‘mysteriously’ breaks down. GIR and Minimoose end up damaged in the crash and GB and Zim are left to find another way home. 

Blah blah they end up saving their lives and somehow make it back to Earth, idek the details kinda get fuzzy here but my idea was they end up tolerating each other after the traumatic event/becoming friends. They just sort of keep putting off their plans to kill each other until, after a while, neither could imagine doing such a thing. GB is totally happy being his sidekick and sharing a mutual hatred of humans, doting on her new friend at all times (even tho Zim claims to still hate her).

THAT GOT SO LONG IM SO SORRY BUT thank u for letting me ramble about it for a minute! will i ever make her a blog? probs not! but its fun to think about these sort of things and share my ideas!! OH and also never be afraid omg i 100% guarantee that im more intimidated by you than you are of me!! ]

Why I like them: He’s such a great example of like, having a one-note personality on the surface but actually having more depth when you really watch the show. He’s just a screamy, egotistical, maniacal little bug, isn’t he? Well yes, but he’s also a lot more than that, and I love that about all the IZ characters. He really is like a fragile kid that really needs someone to talk to, someone to acknowledge him.

Why I don’t: I love Zim but sometimes it is jarring to see what he’s actually capable of. You know, stealing organs, turning living things inside out, switching the brains of a human and a squid without a second thought, killing people indiscriminately while in control of a big machine of a monster (even killing his own kind!). And then he’ll just smile and shrug or sit down on the couch with GIR eating Irken-brand Fun Dip

Favorite episode (scene if movie): Gosh, what is my favorite Zim-centered episode… Going with just sheer character moments, FBI Warning of Doom might be one? It showcases Zim’s irrational paranoia but also his resourcefulness (which something like Germs doesn’t really do). It also has him acknowledge his fear and laugh at himself a little. Also I love his line “They’ve locked down their fortress! With locks!!”

Favorite season/movie: It just occurred to me, if this upcoming movie does well (and is good), do you think there’ll be more??? Ahem anyway, I feel like season 2 seems to have funnier episodes while season 1 seems to have more character-focused episodes. So it’s kind of a draw.

Favorite line: Finding an all-time favorite Zim line is pretty much impossible. How about just the classic “I AM ZIM” or “YOU’RE LYING” because they’re catchphrases but they don’t really feel like catchphrases, you know? They weren’t thrown in just to be cool.

Favorite outfit: I love his regular outfit but anything he wears is great. For some reason I always really liked his disguise in Plague of Babies

Brotp: Zim and GIR, Zim and Skoodge, Zim and Dib, Zim and Membrane chatting over coffee ( “yeah, i know what you mean”), Zim and Gaz tolerating each other’s presence and like, Zim talking offhandedly about taking over the world or destroying Dib and Gaz grunting in reply while playing her game

Head Canon: Irkens basically have two brains- an organic one in their head, which functions pretty much like a human brain but which they can live without for a temporary time (retaining rudimentary movement in their limbs but not being able to do much besides drool); and an electronic “brain” in their PAK where they can store memories, knowledge, etc. I tend to think that no matter what Irkens believe about themselves, their personalities come from their organic minds and that the PAK is blank initially but leeches off the Irken’s thoughts and memories and “absorbs” the personality into itself… if all that makes ANY sense at all

Other headcanons- IZ takes place in Michigan; Zim can eat dry human junk food without much problem (candy, chips, popcorn, etc); his antenna are not super sensitive and are sort of secondary olfactory sensors (he has a sort of nose membrane on his face); he has sharp, retractable claws in his fingers and duller, non-retractable claws in his toes like a cat; his body is organic aside from his eyes, which are synthetic (maybe Irkens are born with natural eyes but those are removed shortly after birth? Or when they become Invaders?); he can see in the dark

sorry this is all stuff I’m using in my Invader Zim/Portal crossover fic and it took a bit to remember what was stuff that I made up (or got from other people) and which stuff was actually canon
