you've read visions of v, right?? what r your thoughts on it?
yeah i have, i have so many thoughts about it that im simply too dumb to put into words, but i'll try my best lmao. tl;dr, let's just say that i didnt think too much about v until i read the manga, and now i care about him very very much.
visions of v is just... it gave so much more depth and meaning behind v's character. i understand that in the game they didnt reveal too much about him bc they were trying desperately to keep the fact that hes vergil hidden (even though i and a lot of other people already guessed who he was long before the game even came out lmao), but after seeing his thought process and journey to understanding himself in such great detail is just so... it makes me so emotional. while in the game we only saw him as this sassy goth poetry reciting mystery guy, in visions of v we can see that he was constantly struggling with his past and trauma almost the whole time. i felt so bad to see him like this (in a good way if that makes sense. i dont have a lot of trauma myself, but i have a friend who does and they said the way v's trauma was portrayed was done really really well. its really easy to relate to his struggles.)
and dont even get me started on the ending. i literally read that ending at like 2am, in japanese, because i just couldnt wait for the eng translations. and thank god i managed to understand everything, bc i was literally sobbing to myself silently at midnight. it broke my fucking heart to see young vergil again, still refusing to acknowledge his own emotions, when all it did was bring him more pain. and then he fucking admits out loud that he does enjoy fighting his brother because, despite appearances, vergil is still just like dante. they just want to have fun. as siblings. theyre both the exact same.
this is literally everything i wanted and more. we finally have vergil admitting that hes okay with having emotions, he loves his brother and wants to play with him to make up for their lost childhood, and now it makes dmc5's ending even better, knowing that every single fucking time we saw vergil smiling, he was doing it from the bottom of his heart and not just out of sass and sarcasm. and now the twins have all the time in the world to hang out and be happy.
i probably have a lot more i can talk about but this is already getting very long so i'll stop here. can you see why i have tears in my eyes every time i talk about visions of v this shit makes me so fucking emotional

𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐢𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬!
im not a bnha blog however i have some things i feel like i just want to scream about! some of these are based on his birth chart too so if you’re into astrology i hope you enjoy that aspect as well!
length: 780 words
Tumblr media
tenya loves spicy food
he looks like he wouldn’t be built for it but he’s actually got a pretty high pain tolerance
he adds chili pepper to literally everything
he also has a massive sweet tooth so sometimes when he confiscates peoples snacks in class, he eats them himself later
if you’re one of his closer friends (or his s/o) he’ll share them with you
he spends like $80 a week on honey buns from the vending machine
tenya also has a scorpio moon so i think that like bakugo he loves love/romance HOWEVER instead of romance manga, he reads corny ass wattpad stories as a guilty pleasure
mina made a joke about her wattpad phase once and it led to his demise bc he was too damn curious and he just had to look it up
if you ask him directly about it he will deny it but he’s a voracious reader and can finish like 4 books a week
they’re so bad but they’re so good lmao
he enjoys correcting the writers’ grammar as he reads and complaining about how cliche the plot is but he just cant stop reading
iida is also the only boy in class 1-A that actually takes care of himself lowkey
i think he’s got a better skincare routine than me tbh
it’s simple, yes, but expensive and it works wonders on his skin and on yours
he owns a jade roller. no questions asked
i also see him as the type of person who’s scared of putting in contact lenses BDHSNSVSJSNS
like he’s got so much anxiety around accidentally poking an eye out he just can’t muster up the courage to do it
especially bc his hands are so big for no reason
he does own contacts tho, they literally just sit in his bathroom cabinet
speaking of his sweet tooth again, tenya cannot drink black coffee
i’ve seen some people say that’s his order when the deku-squad goes to starbucks or smth but no i think he gets like 15 pumps of caramel in a grande cup BEHSNSVSAJAN
his attention to detail is impeccable
he’s got a virgo mercury and mars he literally notices EVERYTHING
this makes him a very good gift giver bc he literally remembers everything about you and keeps a mental note
uhhh let’s see what else
tenya is rhythm blind SVDHSNSBAKAKA
he cannot dance to save his own life
lord knows how he fakes his way through all the hero charity galas and stuff his family hosts
he can only do a two step if you count for him
he’s a pretty decent singer tho
very shy about it tho
if you get him under the influence of a substance he will definitely do karaoke and he’ll make everyone look bad bc he’s really good
that’s his leo sun talking fr
he’s also a sneaker head surprisingly
it sounds like it doesn’t make sense HOWEVER hear me out
he runs all the time everywhere for training and stuff, constantly trying to beat his PR
so he goes through running shoes very easily
but he doesn’t want to get the exact same ones every single time so he switches it up
then he fell down the rabbit hole of lifestyle sneakers and here we are
i don’t know if he dresses the part but i don’t think he wears stiff ass polos and dress pants all the time
that makes no sense bc how tf will his big ass calves fit in the pants BDBSJSNSJA
so streetwear actually makes a little bit more sense
just imagine tenya in baggy khaki pants and jordan 1s
and a baggy sweater vest omg
giving very much tyler the creator vibes
i think it fits him tbh
especially as he gets older and figures out what he likes to wear as opposed to what his parents put him in
ALSO tenya is very into the humanities and social sciences
he wouldve gotten into the arts but mans cant draw for his life either
fortunately he can read like hell so he consumes copious amounts of political and philosophical theory for funsies
based iida⁉️⁉️⁉️
also a polyglot maybe?
dont ask me what specific languages but most likely japanese, english, mandarin and spanish
hes one of those people whos like "oh i read an article about that!" whenever you mention something new
but not in a condescending way he just genuinely wants to show you that he relates to whatever you're talking about
he prides himself on being a walking encycloepdia just so he can help everyone
thats all ive got for now but im definitely gonna post more if i can think of any

I know its a big debate but I am not a dudebro for thinking killua and gon are platonic. I have no problem with people who do at all, but I honestly just think they have a strong friendship, and I am for encouraging boys to have these types of bonds with each other ~screw toxic masculinity~ I like following your blog btw
Hi ! First of all, thank you for liking my blog! I’m glad you’re enjoying my content even though I’m killugon trash HAHAH
Oh lord, it really is a big debate. I’m not calling everyone who doesnt like a romantic reading of killugon a dudebro, only the people who are vehemently against it because they say people are projecting and that there is no basis to our claims that hxh is queer work.
This is gonna be me ranting for a bit because it’s a subject that’s very dear to me so i’m very sorry in advance, it’s not against you, just a general statement !
I totally agree that fuck toxic masculinity. It’s so fucking toxic and men should be allowed to show emotions, affection and care openly without fearing for repercussions. And having portrayals of friendships where the characters are not afraid of sharing their love with the other in a totally platonic way is amazing.
However.
There’s been countless representations of this type of relationship in media over the years. In every media, not only anime. I always cite the same example, but take Naruto who is the example that speaks to me the most. (ive never seen it so dont flame me if i say dumb shit). But from my understanding, Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship was a full on middle finger in the face of toxic masculinity. They shared a deep bond, pretty much like Killua and Gon’s. I know a lot of people shipped them because their relationship was borderline homoerotic, but in the end it was just a beautiful representation of a very deep platonic friendship.
And when you’re queer, it’s heartbreaking. Because you’ve been projecting this entire time, for the work to tease you, to literally bait you into showing you inherent queer behavior only for it to say “haha lol jk” at the end is fucking rough. Especially when you’re young and questioning your sexuality, looking at relationships between two best friends and thinking “oh, this feels like I feel when I’m with my best friend, is this romantic love?” and then the work saying nope haha its purely platonic ! its rough. trust me.
The community doesn’t have a lot of positive, healthy queer relationships to identify with. Especially in anime. Most queer relationships are labeled under the special genres “shounen ai” and “yuri” (both of these categories painting queer relationships in the worst possible ways ever btw, but thats a whole other subject). But it’s fucking sad. Because we deserve to see queer representation in works that are not classified as those genre. We shouldn’t have to dig into a particular genre to identify with characters : there should be queer representation no matter the genre, whether it be a shoujo, a seinen, or for example, a shounen battle manga.
And that’s why HxH is so important to the queer community. Because it displays just that. That you can have good queer representation in non shounen-ai genres. That queer relationships are normal and should not have to be classified under a certain category.
A lot of queer people identify and recognize HxH as queer work, because of a few reasons. Togashi has always been interested in queer representation, having put queer characters in every single one of his works. There was a trans girl in YYH, a trans man in Level E, Alluka in HxH. Togashi also wrote several gay characters in both of these works. I always repeat myself on this, but Togashi also wanted to write a gay sports manga, but was turned down. His favorite manga when he was younger was a shounen-ai. So yes, Togashi has deep history and is very involved in queer representation.
Togashi is also very fucking smart. Just look at all the metas people are producing every day about hxh and understand how much effort togashi has put into his work : he’s a smart man, who makes conscious choices about everything he puts in his manga. So when you see the way he portrayed Killua and Gon’s relationship, and for now most importantly Killua, you know it’s not accidental. Togashi has put SO much subtext in his work about Killua in general, from his birthday being Tanabata to him wanting to commit a lovers’ suicide with Gon, and Togashi KNOWS how it comes across, he’s not dumb. He knows what those things mean, he knows that a shinjuu is a heavily connotated word, and that people, ESPECIALLY JAPANESE PEOPLE who have the cultural context, are gonna think “oh, maybe Killua is gay”. Because that subtext is intentional. And there’s a lot of it. If you haven’t read my post on the subtext of HxH, I invite you to do so because there’s a LOT of it.
In short, HxH has the subtext, has the potential and has the one author that is not afraid of putting queer stuff in his work. That’s why Killugon is so important to the community, and that’s why a lot of people, especially queer folks, insist on the romantic reading of their relationship.
Because it’s extremely important to queer people. Positive representation of queer relationships in anime is hard to come by, ESPECIALLY in the shounen genre. And sadly, because our society is drowning in deep internalized homophobia, people easily dismiss queer behavior in media as platonic actions.
How many times have I seen people assess that two people of opposite genders in an anime are in love only because they looked at each other once (take Ponzu and Pokkle for example). Or because they held hands. Our society is so quick to romanticize interactions between two people of different genders, but fail to do the same when it’s same-gender pairings.
Straight people hand holding, kissing, blushing around each other, admitting their love out loud, looking at each other’s eyes deeply are immediately categorized as in love. But when it’s people of the same gender, people immediately say “it can be platonic”. And whether you’re aware of it or not, that’s internalized homophobia.
That’s why it’s infuriating to see people dismiss the subtext that Togashi has tried SO HARD to plant throughout his story. Because it’s there, and if Killua was a girl, there’d be way less people opposed to a romantic reading of their relationship. Because it’d be widely accepted that Togashi is writing them as a developing couple, no questions asked.
Which brings me to my final point (promise, I’ll stop ranting after this). Sadly, the voices of the people who assert a platonic reading of a relationship are often louder than the voices of queer people who identify with the work. When confronted with an ambiguous relationship between a same-gender pairing, people unconsciously tend to choose a platonic reading of the relationship. Which is harmful to the queer community, because the voices of the queer people who identify with the work are silenced.
In conclusion, yes, representations of deep platonic friendships without toxic masculinity are good, and very much encouraged. We’ve just had a shitton of those over the years, and queer people are craving for proper representation. Togashi is deeply invested in positive queer representation, has planted a lot of conscious subtext in HxH, and he’s the one author that would NOT queerbait. So people being insistent that Killua is pretty much canonically gay, and that it’s likely that Killugon will be a romantic pairing is not for the sake of mindless shipping. It’s because there are a lot of reasons to believe that this is Togashi’s intention.
And like I said, sadly, people insisting on a platonic reading of their relationship is unintentionally harmful to the queer community, because people are so quick to dismiss elements that make queer people identify with the work as platonic behavior, dismissing queer people as “wishful shippers”.
There are plenty of reasons to believe that HxH is queer work, and while platonic readings of killugon’s relationship are valid, it sucks that it’s become overbearing in the anime community, to the point where outside of tumblr, people literally bully you for thinking that there’s a possibility Killua might be gay and in love with Gon. (trust me, i’ve faced a lot of people saying that it’s disgusting to label killua as gay)
So yes ! Killugon can be read as platonic. The queer community is just very adamant about people not dismissing Togashi’s subtext because HxH is the healthy, positive representation we need. It’s a beautiful piece of work that has the full potential (and who is most likely headed this way) to display a healthy, loving, positive canon gay relationship between two of its main characters.
Showing that a shounen battle manga can feature a canon gay relationship, showing that you can be young and gay and what you thought was best friend behavior was maybe romantic and that it’s okay because feelings change and are hard to figure out especially when you’re young and queer !!
And most importantly showing that unlike every portrayal of deep male best friends relationships in shounen anime that turn out to be painted as purely platonic, sometimes behaviors that queer people identify with ARE queer behavior, and not just platonic love, but romantic, homosexual love.

(1/?)Hi! really liking your posts about Sasuke, it helps me make more sense of why the series left me so confused, and I really think that ,like you said in your about Section, many of Kishi interesting bits of narrative and characterization are flukes,(I'm a Hopeless Madara fan speaking,it is really hard to like characters from a show you dont like) I do have to admit tho that his world building looks really insteresting (even tho not explored properly) ,I was wondering however, if there is
2/? anyway of interpreting kishis insistence on making sasuke the “bad Guy” as a proyection of the “generalized”(and I mean “in general”, everyone is diffent) Japanese view of life and comunity?,as in “endure the hardships for the good of everyone , even if it cost me my own well being” kind of mindset .I mean, as a westerner, I did enjoyed anime and manga growing up, but many times I do tend to forget that many of the tropes present in them and narrative desisions are taken by the authors who
3/4authors who have a completely different world view from mine, and their values of what is wrong and right diverge greatly from what mine could be; I do want to point out, I DO NOT agree with A LOT of the so said “lessons”the series wants to transmit, I think it fails in delivering any true message exactly because of making that said mindset the final destination of the series(and also having a DBZ final battle), leaving the whole uchiha and ame gakure things with no final solution, I mean
4/4, I mean , it is shonen, why would I exept any real resolution on things that seem to matter …but still!!But yeah, that was my question, how much of the bad of the series do you think is Kishi just being a bad author and how much do you think is kishi being too into the conformative mindset and wanting to transmit that to the public?Sorry for the long ask, I was just curious on you pov, thank you for reading all of that! and sorry 4 bad english, I do not speak it as first language.
yooooooo I love Madara so I get it. I got a whole load of interpretations about him and I’m planning on talking about him and most of the Uchiha members we know when we get to them in shippuden since the Uchiha clan is a big part of Sasuke’s character (and as an excuse to drag Obito because I hate him with a fiery passion).
I completely understand what you are saying and a long time ago I probably would have at least thought about it more, if not agreed with you, but there is this one thing I have read that has changed a lot of my expectations of the shonen genre.
It’s called One Piece.
One Piece is the best selling manga or comic by a single author of all time and is primarily popular in Japan (testimonial) because the initial dub got fucked over which affected it’s popularity in the west and also western audiences have shit taste.
Now, surface level I think everyone knows One Piece is the pirate shonen manga, but something you can only get from reading it is that what One Piece is really about personal freedom. Pirates in One Piece aren’t actually, like, people that pillage other ships or towns. They can be that, but that’s not inherently what a pirate is in-universe. I’m sure many people have heard that the main character Luffy wants to be King of the Pirates through secondhand knowledge, but what you might not have heard is that to Luffy the King of the Pirates is the person on the ocean who is the most free.
And, not to get spoilery, but there’s the World Government which, actually, here’s a post that puts it better than I ever could.
Also I just make this joke a lot: in Naruto the Revolutionary Army would be the bad guys. Because there is a Revolutionary Army in One Piece. And I think we all know how the word Revolution is treated in Naruto.
All of this is to say that given that One Piece is the most popular manga in Japan I think it would be insulting to say that these themes in Naruto should just be seen as an outcome of Japanese culture. I’m sure Kishimoto is not a bad guy and he is a person shaped by his circumstances and culture like anyone else, but people can leave the box that the world has drawn them into and, especially for a creator, you should be able to do that. The creator of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, was also born into Japanese culture and his series goes the complete opposite direction of Kishimoto because in One Piece you don’t endure, you fight, and his series is way more popular with the Japanese public (granted, Oda is also just a rare talent in character writing, world building, and loooooooong story telling). One Piece alone is proof that Naruto’s failures aren’t cultural, they’re just the author’s.
Also everyone should read One Piece, but if you want another example that is less of a commitment try Fullmetal Alchemist.

I’m sorry, but I have to clarify this once again simply for the sake of my sanity.
--Weeaboo - A non-Japanese person who is obsessed with Japanese culture to the point where he or she actually pretends to be Japanese. They often claim to be fluent in Japanese, but can usually only say a few words (usually “kawaii,” “sugoi,” “konnichiwa,” “arigatou,” and “desu” are the only words they know). Sometimes they will imitate Japanese culture in rather insensitive ways, or claim to be knowledgeable about Japan and Japanese culture when the only references to Japan that they have actually experienced in their lives are what they have seen in the various animes they watch and mangas they read.
--Otaku - A person who is overly or unhealthily obsessed with anime, manga, or video games to the point where he or she has almost no life outside of these three things, but does NOT pretend to be Japanese.  “Otaku” is usually a derogatory term, implying that someone has no life.
--Cosplayer - A person who dresses in costume as their favorite anime, manga, or video game character.  These people are NOT always weeaboos or otakus (though some are, not all of them are).
--Anime fan - A person who genuinely enjoys anime, manga, video games, J-pop/J-rock, or any other Japanese pop culture along with other aspects of their lives. These people are NOT weeaboos or otakus, as they are not unhealthily obsessed and balance their hobbies with their social lives/work lives effectively.  These are the mature fans, and they are allowed to enjoy what they enjoy.
PLEASE stop confusing these things. When a non-Asian person puts on an anime cosplay, it doesn’t instantly make him or her a weeaboo, a try-hard, a wannabe, or an otaku. Let people like what they like. I don’t throw a little tantrum when an individual of Asian descent tells me that their favorite artist is Garth Brooks and they love to square dance. In fact, it’s quite beautiful when cultures mix across the world. At the end of the day, we are all brothers and sisters as the human race began in one place, on what is now the continent of Africa.  Why is it okay to wear a football jersey of your favorite player, but the second you toss on an anime shirt you’re a weeb?  Why is it rad when you’ve got posters up all over your room of sports teams, but add one single anime figurine and you’re suddenly the biggest embarrassment of the century?
Does nobody else see how fucking ridiculous this is?
Folks, get over yourselves.  Mind your own business.  There is a great work to be done here on this Earth and you’re missing the point if you have nothing better to do than to shit all over people because they have slightly different interests and hobbies than you.

CHERELLE’S BUNDLE OF AWESOMENESS [Xmas Gift]
Ok, so as all of you know, I’ve lost my laptop for a month. This was a long and tedious period, where I could only have my phone to communicate with the outside world. Near the period it broke (right in this period actually), a letter came, and it was wonderful, and it was from the megaawesomeincrediblenice
 Cherelle - @cherelladevil...
AND I COULD NOT OPEN IT!
Because I wanted to open it when I can actually make a post
When I can actually thank...
When I can actually express my emotions and scream and love and...
And I spent about a month with Cherelle’s package neatly closed and could hear it calling for me. Oooopen me, ooopen me... Yet I wanted to give it EVERYTHING it deserves and more. So I went in and created an unboxing video (only for Cherelle), which was supposed to be 10 minutes. Yeah... Supposed... to... be...
...I CAN NOT CONTAIN MY LOVE IN 10 MUNUTES OKAY?! T_T
The video obviously won’t be the part of the post, buuut...
Psst, guys, do you want terrible pictures of Cherelle’s awesome drawings? No, really terrible, I can’t take pictures even if it saves my life :D
Little Shinichi as a preview...
Tumblr media
And proceed with caution: Yunnie screams. A lot. A LOT A LOT A LOT.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Told you, Yunnie screams a lot :”D
The first one to encounter was this masterpiece. I think, if Cherelle saw the video, she knows my exact thoughts (read: hug the artpiece and sit with a blessed expression), but I want to share them anyway
Tumblr media
HOLLY GOSHO LOOK AT THIS
Tumblr media
LOOK AT THAT LEVEL OF DETAILS Its incredible
Its... Simply BREATHTAKING how wonderful this is. I spent a great deal just looking, touching and enjoying. As I said in the video (I will mention this video a lot xD), when you hold the ACTUAL drawing, you can feel the layers of coloring, the texture, you can imagine the artist actually drawing it, imagine their brushes touching the paper, imagine how they wait until the colors dry, imagine everything... And now I hold the same paper that the masterpiece was created on. This... Is a wonderful experience.
From the moment I saw the first panel, realization hit, and I screamed. I won’t write lenghthy comments to every page, so that people will be able to read it, but I will summarize it at the end.... And I’m extremely sorry for my picture taking, it might cut some lines, but I was hurrying, so that Cherelle will see it sooner ;_; I will retake it if needed, or maybe Cherelle has scans of good quality, so that the world will see it’s awesomeness!
Anyway: this is MY. OVERHEARD. BEING. TURNED. INTO. MANGA. I can’t contain my emotions, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa ;_;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OKAY THIS WAS THE BEST THING I EVER SAW IN MY LIFE I CAN ANALYZE EVERY PANEL HERE (and I did in video) BUT I THINK TUMBLR MIGHT HAVE A LIMIT FOR THE LENGH OF THE POST AND I HAVE A LOOOT OF THINGS TO SAY OKAY
The feelings of holding MY OWN STORY drawn by my Favorite Artist were just overwhelming... And she actually drew it the way I THOUGHT it would look ;v; Everything - panels, placing, expressions... And it’s my second favorite overheard! First favorite?.. Why of course...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS.
THIS OFFICIALLY MADE ME THE HAPPIEST BEING ALIVE WHILE I WAS READING IT
after I saw my overheard being turned into a comic, and I saw that i still had pages, I thought it might be an omake, or, I dared to hope, another one...
But to think that it was the one that I even translated to Japanese and uploaded on pixiv! ;v;
I’m writing it, and I feel emotions overwhelming... I have so much to share, and I’m running out of time, I made everyone wait for so long, yet I have SO MUCH TO SAY ;_;
I wonder if Cherelle will sit through the video full of my excitement and stupid comments, but it was pure, raw, genuine happiness and I loved every single second of it
;v;
BB tags broke, that’s probably a sign...
BUT I HAVE SO MUCH TO SHARE
Tumblr media
LIKE THIS ARTPIECE
I stared at this for a really really really long time Its so tender, so... alive Like, they are caught in action Cherelle, you’re a wizard ;v;
Tumblr media
OR THIS LITTLE RAN SLEEPING ON MY HEART BLANKET
I love her
And she loved the thingie Shinichi bought to her in Ep. One *squueeee*
;v;
Tumblr media
AND THIS??? THIS??????!!! OH MY GOD THIS!
This set is incredible! I will definitely put it on my wall, I guarantee it >w<
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Breathtaking. And I can hold it right now, and I can touch it, and I can feel it, and it’s just... the... best >w<
...Neuro fell asleep while I was writing this post, thats a second sign, isn’t it... he snores in my ear, so I have to contain my excitement :”D
Tumblr media
ADORABLE (also an incredible rose oh my god)
Tumblr media
This... was... something :”D I laughed
Also it is like a London bundle! Together they made a London collection :D
Tumblr media
THIS IS THE POSTCARD
I DONT CARE THAT ITS NOT CHRISTMAS ANYMORE ITS LIKE A WINDOW TO CHRISTMAS NOW
I WISH YOU EVERYTHING AND MORE CHERELLE ;v;
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Tumblr media
Aaaaaaand EVERYTHING AT ONCE
Okay, I have to wrap it up, and I know that we have to wait for me to open it for SO LONG, but it became incredibly special to me, especially after a MONTH of constant darkness and hardships. This became a symbol of new period of life, the light, the happy period of life, and I will cherish each and every drawing, and I know for a fact that I will look at every detail in my overheards over and over, trying to grasp the idea that MY IDEA GOT DRAWN OH MY GOD ;v;
Its like a dream came true
As I said in the video, you are my Christmas Fairy, Cherelle. You brought miracle into my life, and the fandom is blessed to have you!
Thank you so much for making this day special Thank you for bringing light Thank you for being so awesome
You deserve a lot of walls of texts, and I hope that I was able to convey everything that I felt into words ;v;
Thank you!
P.S. I want to also thank Neuro, who contacted Cherelle for me, and was willing to provide her with materials and shipping ;v; My beloved, I can’t thank you enough for what you are doing for me. So while you’re sleeping in my call after a long day, I will write here, for all to see, that I love you endlessly and that my gratitude is enormous. I have best boyfriend, and life seems awesome right now ;v;

Do you think Hide generally loves Kaneki or if It is some kind of bromance? I think it's romantic love just because it's makes more sense considering his actions then bromance but I'm seeing all these posts of 'HideKane fans are misunderstanding Hides 'confession' and I'm just so sad. I'm 100% sure it is romantic love...
@sweetgm2 said:I read tgre ch 148 and my major question is: What kind of love did Hide mean when he said he loves Kaneki? Does you know the Japanese raw meaning for that moment cause I’m fangirling so hard right now. Our son is back and as beautiful as ever and he is so pure in his devotion to Kaneki I’m just like askdksaksnsj
anonymous said:i like hidekane and all, but im kind of annoyed by the people screaming abt how gay it is and how canon their ship is bc hide said “i love him”, when suki ‘好き’ was used, not ai'愛’ or koi'恋’ or anything which p much strictly indicate romance. real talk if my boy hide got some romantic feelings for kaneki im happy as long as he is but like. it’s the s h i p p e r s im annoyed w yk. like pls dont give me long ass rants abt how u kno it’s romantic when i s p e a k japanese (not @ u just in general)
@gooodluckmode said:Hi! I was wondering if we knew what type of love hide said in that panel? I’ve been trying to find a post about it but havent been able to ;_;
anonymous said:French reporting here! In our translation they went by “parce que je l'aime” which is really as ambigous as the other… Sorry my language isn’t much of a help either 😅 That’s clearly not something you’d say to ‘just a friend’ but it doesn’t necessarily is romantic either… But this is reaaaaallyy affectionate for sure
anonymous said:Hey. Go read the comments on Hide’s wikipage. They’re pretty interesting. Also there is a few Japanese people down there, who have said that in the official manga, Hide did say because I love him. I believe the real, official Japanese scans was アイツの事好きっすもん (romaji: aitsu no koto sukissumon) and that directly translates to “because I love him”. According to those Japanese people. I’ve seen people say it was different in the Japanese official scan, I just thought I should share this.
and like nine other anons also asking about the same thing.
So, my initial reaction was that I thought it was just platonic. I didn’t really think that Ishida would pull something like this, to be entirely honest, so I just took it to mean that he loves Kaneki very strongly, perhaps more than even a friend, but not to a romantic extent, but my outlook has changed a bit now that I’ve looked into it more.
I’m gonna talk a bit about how the Japanese fandom seems to be perceiving this (since they speak the language, they’re probably the next best person to consult other than Ishida). I won’t mention my own interpretation on this post but I’ll make a post soon about what I personally think about this.
Firstly, @thatshamelessyaoishipper made a fantastic post on the subject here.
@ayumifey also brought my attention to a reddit post which was translating Japanese comments on 2chan. The contents of the post are very long so I’ll just paste a couple comments from the Japanese fandom and their translations here:

Here were OP’s thoughts on the thread overall.
It’s true that 好き can used for a great variety of things - hobbies, food, etc - but when used with a person (eg. 君のことが好き) it generally carries romantic implications. It’s a common expression, yet I’ve literally never heard it used platonically between two male friends - if someone else has, I’d be interested so please let me know.
Obviously when it comes down to it, pretty much anything we read can be subject to some degree of interpretation (it’s not like we can look into the author’s mind). However, going by the number of posts complaining about whether this line means Hide is gay or not (for reference, the word “gay” / ホモ appears 112 times in this thread alone, most of it in relation to Hide), I would say that it’s pretty clear that the author intentionally went out of his way to phrase it so that it sounded like he was admitting to romantic feelings.
I think I also saw someone else who claimed to speak Japanese on one of @kirakira-tae‘s posts claim that Hide’s dialogue had heavily romantic implications but I can’t find the post anymore :s
Now, I have seen a couple Japanese people who still claim that the meaning is ambiguous, but it seems that the general consensus was that the dialogue had romantic undertones since it’s not something a man would generally say to another man, especially not a friend. I think this was definitely deliberate on Ishida’s part, so I think it’s safe to assume that Hide’s statement had romantic undertones, if not a right out confession.
I want to make a separate post about my take on Hide’s love for Kaneki because this got quite long and I sort of want to single out what I have to say about this since it’s slightly different.
