As i said earlier. this was ANOTHER ISSUE that was adapted into 03 during the Leo angst era. so they swapped Raph for Leo.

(NOT MAD ABT IT. i could go on a very long talk abt raph leo interchangeability and every time they've done that in adaptation, and why so many of the raph leo conflicts are about them being so so similar.

and how they are the person the other gets/gets them. and loss of that understanding due to separation or injury causes the blow ups.)

ANYWAY

03 didnt have the events that happened to raph that are referenced here anyway. those being. Raph almost being killed in a drive to solo kill the shredder (which... Leo Does btw) but more importantly admitting to Leo that he feels he has no control, that he cant think through his emotions.

And, again as mentioned, the de-mutation. It took him from weakened, to childlike, too deteriorating illness, until he's a particularly emotive large turtle, and then even less so to a normal smaller and smaller one. And this was caused by a very powerful being that thought he'd be happier that way, after feeling all the guys bask in the water, and be in awe of real baby turtles.

So these are the things he can't talk to Leo or Casey about. And this comic issue is one thats in the mode of "something written by april" like journal entries. And it wouldnt be clear cause i removed the CONTEXT lol. but that is her seeing a vision, from this dying being, of her [the being's] life and history, and its like. not pretty! not good things happening to the extincting amphibious humanoids.

So the lack of control, emotional and LITERAL, over his fate, his body, his being his mind? The things he cant tell his human best friend or his leader and brother. She goes through something impossible, she has no control, she fails at saving this being. And she sees it. And they see each other. And their is not a fix it at the end of that. She doesn't tell anyone else why she gets spooked. Everyone is just standing around each other in the moment, where its all not okay.

VERITAS RATIO, is not one to ask for such things, at least verbally. His grasp on you is firm and strong but would easily loosen when you ask him to; he does get anxious though, thinking if his grip was too tight or too much.

im more complex about the episode then everyone else seems to be apparently. imo they all sucked this episode.

for one, i am actually a dean sympathizer. lets be real parrot and wifies both treated him badly. i wouldnt have told parrot either when he was there constantly repeating the exact same things ash said to blackmail dean; and wifies isnt much better for affirming the shit ash told dean either, infact i would argue wifies was even worse then about it. if i was there hearing "ash was right. youre a burden, but thats ok." and "ash was right. your a burden, we should be leaving you for dead." i wouldnt want to risk jeopardizing my one source of safety either.

before the reveal that dean was actually involved in the leaking of their location wifies just came of as a semi-controlling dick. there were a million better ways all of them could have done things this episode. i dont really like the wifies glazing as if he was perfect this episode and didnt treat a fellow victim who lodgically didnt have a choice like shit. wifies is smart enough to figure out dean didnt want to sell them out. imo he had no actual reason to reason to treat dean with as little empathy as he did, especially when wifies knows exactly what its like to have his existance used to get to parrot in the exact chain of events parrot referenced after the compass was burnt.

both sides of odessy were being hypocritical and hurtful as hell and thats been a theme of uu the whole time. theyre all flawed, they are make mistakes and are selfish and hurt others doing what they think is righteous or best or safest. uu is the dichotomy of perspective, about how everyone does what they think is best and how more often then not that best hurts atleast someone. and guess what? thats life. thats actually pretty normal, especially if youve been through your own shit or are traumatized like the characters of uu are.

honestly, good take. kind of made me rethink some things that happened in the episode as well.

to be fair, yes, obviously dean was treated badly the whole episode. even i noted that wifies was a bit too harsh with how he approached things the whole video. he knew that dean was leaking information, didn't tell parrot, and still tried to put basically the whole blame of it on dean. "you could argue i hid it from you" yes, wifies, you did keep it from parrot, knowing that parrot would've tried to look for a different solution.

parrot was obviously not any better. he brushed off wifies despite the other very clearly showing signs of concern and he did also openly called dean a burden. which is, yes, he was slowing them down, but i feel like there was a nicer was to go about it.

and yes, i do sympathize with dean, but he did hide a piece of pretty crucial information from them, keeping a leverage in the compass, and then ran away after being confronted. it's fair, i'm not saying he was entirely wrong for that too, but i feel like it wouldn't be fair to say anyone was fully in right/wrong.

and yeah, you're are right, the morality of characters is a pretty obvious focus on the whole uu, and obviously all of them are very flawed. taking wifies's words, we just need to try and look at things from all of their perspectives. they're all understandable, and in some ways even reasonable, but there were much better ways to go about the whole situation, but the problem was exactly that. perspective. they were all focused on their individual goals and didn't try to see everything from the perspective of others. and that's what separated all of them.

Imagine Foul Legacy being overjoyed finding out that, he now has another friend to explore with ! This little friend match his big shiny eye and can follow him everywhere, unlike the other seeles that dont go in the water this one stay and happily follow our big mothman, sometimes even hide and squeak so they can play together

Him coming home soaked is becoming more and more common due to that but he doesnt mind, his favorite part of the day is cuddling you after you dried him while chirping about his new flying companion

oh my goodness you do not understand the chokehold the new seelie has on me it's so SHINY AND PRETTY AND CAN GO UNDERWATER DO YOU UNDERSTAND

i like to think that maybe Foul Legacy is the one who finds the seelie during one of his solo swims while you're at work, spotting this sparkling, glowing ball huddled away in some seaweed. the seelie squeaks in fear when it sees a massive Abyss creature approach, but slowly calms as Legacy gently trills, bubbles drifting from his open maw. after a few minutes of reassurance the seelie dubs Legacy as trustworthy and floats over to meet him, letting out little burbles and chirps and spinning happy circles in the water. Legacy chitters happily as the seelie sinks into his palm, its glow becoming brighter as the sun begins to set- he's almost late getting home because of this, shaking some of the water from his fluff as the seelie flies after him, a beacon in the night

needless to say, Legacy is very damp, very tired, and very pleased with himself when you come home, nudging the seelie over to you and watching in delight as the bloopy creature sits in your hands and warbles up at you

the seelie doesn't permanently stay in your house, swapping back and forth between inside and outside under the water- but it does always follow Foul Legacy around, wherever he might be, nestling in his fur with a cheerful peep. you become used to Legacy returning late, soaked to the bone and happily exhausted from a full day of swimming, nuzzling you and rumbling with laughter when your clothes get wet. you grab a towel and sit him down, carefully fluffing up his ginger hair as you dry it and his face off. the seelie moves to melt into your lap- strangely, it's not wet at all, but you suppose his seelie must have some water resistance, being a magical creature, and more often than not Legacy dozes off when you're drying his hair, arms draped over your shoulders

yes, you'll wake up damp tomorrow and possibly with a cold, but for now you just pulls the towel over the three of you and snuggle closer, your eyes shutting as you drift off to sleep

Ha dude your good, but also uh damn >.>;;; preciate ya. Uhm first off I have no idea what im doin ever and am an unorganized person- but ill tell ya what I got :U

Ok so. I just draw on my tablet- like a galaxy s4 tab. Its NOT a gd iPad, but basically I 'draw on my ipad'. Pros and cons to this, but big pro is I take it everywhere and can draw any time

I draw in medibang- the mobile version (with wifi turned off so no ads)- cause its good for comics and I dont even know how to do fancy rendering stuff, so I dont need all'at. You just add comic panel, I usually set the line between 6 and 10, you get a box, then set kerning (vertical line spacing) and leading (horizontal line spacing) to whatever you want and: boom. Easy panels.

As for drawing process.. it varies. I dont have a lot of examples, but there's almost always some sorta sketch layer, even if its REALLY vague- but its just as often overly detailed. Sometimes sketch layers even get colored or shaded or whatever ┐(‘～` )┌ in the first example you can see the turquoise lines- lol thats the sketch layer and the rest is just free handed over it, but in the next image, thats all sketch layer and it has colors and shading, and the last is an example of how it ranges even on the same page :Þ

Also, with comics, the biggest pain in the ass is actually working out paneling for me, cause that's what establishes pacing and determines how much room you have for characters, background and dialog. If comics aren't your thing, thats fine, ignore this- but if they are, def read up on paneling and page layout- pretty pictures are great, but readability is more important imo. A good place to start is def 'understanding comics: the invisible art' by Scott McCloud but there's also YouTube videos that go over things like timing and flow in comics

Also- separating background :U I don't always remember to do this, but try to separate your background and character. Then you can do things like erase the background around where it touches the characters or even add a lighter outline so they don't get lost in the sauce. Can also use different colored line art to help distinguish them. All can be seen here :U (see how 1 of the leaves hes stepping on is lined brown instead of blue? S'cause it's not in the background layer

Oh also also! Do shit in whatever order you want. I've seen people try for efficiency by doing all the sketching, then all the line work, then all the colors in organized gos- and if that works for you, great. There are def advantages to that. Buuuttt. Idk man if that feels like a slog.. just start coloring shit when you get tired of line art. You may hafta adjust stuff, but you figure that out before you colored everything. I regularly have panels next to each other lookin like:

I never turn time-lapse recorder on cause it tends to make medibang lag, but I have 1 whole time lapse video :U Its dragon ball z AU stuff, but if it helpful, great- if not, nothin lost adding it :T I know it moves quick, but you can see in it I do 1 initial vague sketch, a better sketch, then the final lineart. Then also a buncha coloring and junk.

Do you know the write speed of your work laptops hard drive? Because that could be part of the reason it's slower than your personal.

So I can look at write speed in task manager and it fluctuates all the time, but they look like they're fluctuating within the same range. Like it goes 0 kb/s > 70-80 kb/s > 120 - 135 kb/s > 200/300/400 kb/s > 1.4 mb/s and then repeats. Actually my personal laptop seems to hit 600-700 kb/s more often than the work laptop. You may be able to tell from this answer that this means nothing to me cause idk what write speed means LOL

help a girlie out i did environmental science not IT and i've been barely able to play games or be in discord calls for like two years now and it's painful 😭😭😭😭

A note: I do not have an ethernet connection and currently no way to put one in. I understand that wireless connections are inherently slower but it should be THIS slow if our internet package has up to 300 mbps (iirc)? I am in a room far from the router, but as aforementioned, it's pretty slow even by the router and I would assume all devices would struggle if it was Only the distance that was the problem. I had multiple Dell support people stumped with this laptop before and the wifi card was replaced once already.

i dont often find myself without a wifi connection to listen to music, but i decided to download some music today because we went out to my grandparents. i have one binding of isaac song in there, like 3 songs from doom 2, and then poetic justice and bitch dont kill my vibe for some reason. and also a bunch of songs that memorycycle made and posted in a discord server. i decided to download 2 katamari songs tonight and 1 justice song and ill probably try to get a few radiohead songs in there if i actually remember to download more music, Which i wont, because im going to go to sleep and then wake up late and rush to get ready and then work for 7 hours, because i am too weak willed to work 8, and by then i will completely forgotten how to be a person because min wage fast food restaurants will wear down your soul and leave you a shambling husk
