I was listening to a video explaining the downfall of a show and one of the points brought up was the use of cliffhangers to manipulate viewers into tuning in next episode and I'm like.... Isn't that what cliffhangers are used for always??? I don't understand why the cliffhanger was bad, it caused discussion and suspense which is what a cliffhanger is supposed to do??? So people just generally not like cliffhangers is this something I've completely missed entirely? Are cliffhangers considered bad writing???

#text #i dont even care abt the show i used the video as background noise mostly #but i feel like maybe there was just a general hate for cliffhangers #because from what i could tell these cliffhangers didnt do anything wrong #the only issue is that one of them had a 7 month wait between the cliffhanger and follow up #which yeah thats a bad move it kinda kills momentum and suspense #but itger than that it seemed like the cliffhangers were used the way they should
