Amazing episode especially all the additional BNHA cards and advert breaks (Philly's fridges how I have missed you) just in general really fun editing. I was going to make a joke about Cherri must be getting paiddd this week with all the additional content but honestly I just wanted to add that its so cool how collaborative you are in your presentation. The trivia bot bit with Oli (I assumed you got him to record those extra lines), including affiliated adverts for projects not necessarily life series (Mcc cards and Mumbos mainly hermitcraft centered merch drop) and just these fun editing bits ontop of the base content. Just these little extra 4th wall bits that are usually just for LORE (Insert sparkles) being used in creative and collaborative ways is just really cool. I've said this before but Cherris thumbnails are what got me into your POV and its so unique and playful and fun to have them, if not scary and suspenseful to see when it is darker Lore (I will never be over lim life finale. Ever.) Just an appreciation for the editing/presentation side of your POV because it's so goddam cool how much substance you can bring afterwards and it always makes me think "This man has like 4 days to edit how does he keep producing so many bangers and additional ideas DOES HE SLEEP". Super good stuff dude

The answer is no, I don't sleep. I sacrificed a fair bit of sleep and all my 'down time' this week to make this episode happen. It definitely wouldn't be sustainable with any kind of regularity lol

"Wait, I'm- why isn't the pickaxe working?" You ask, looking at chat for help.

MCC was stressful as it is, you didn't need your computer having a breakdown.

Tommy laughs. "You have to claim the pickaxe, love." He explains softly.

"Oh. Fuck. Chat, shut up. Shut the fuck up."

"Love." Wilbur scoffs. "I'm sickened."

"I will leak your address if you don't fuck off." Tommy threatens.

Wilbur mutes.

"Freddie, you IGL. You IGL." Tommy laughs, leaning back in his seat. From what you can see of his screen, he's floating in air which means he's dead. He turns to you, your entrance not as quiet as you thought. "You okay?"

"I just wanted a gummy snake." You shrug, approaching him.

With a smile, he tugs his headphones down around his neck. "But I bought these."

"Your mum bought them." You correct, reaching over his keyboard to grab one out of the packet.

Haribo twin snake gummies, his favorite. You had quite literally never heard of them before meeting him. He has a whole package to himself.

"They're still mine!"

"Tough shit then." You pop it into your mouth, smirking at his expression. "Gummy worm tax."

"The rest are mine."

"You're going to make yourself sick."

"Small price to pay for these. Wish us luck?"

"Good luck."

You snag another one before waltzing out of the room.

"I'm not saying that." Tommy laughs. "Fine! Wait! I've got a message for you!"

You pause, turning back to him with raised eyebrows. You know he's on call with both Eryn and Freddie so they definitely just said something stupid.

"Freddie and Eryn say hi."

"That is definitely not what they said."

"That's the important bit, don't worry." His head snaps to his computer, eyes going wide. "Eryn!"

"…okay then."

You duck out of his room, another snake gummy hidden away in your hand. What a fool.

Tommy's in the room three seconds after you scream, eyes wide with his phone in hand. Another second and he's next to you, worried.

"What? What happened?"

"There's a fucking bug in the bed." You say, never taking your eyes off the bug.

Screaming might've been an overreaction but it jumped at you! Bugs weren't meant to jump! You were perfectly sane for screaming.

"There's a- what the fuck?" Tommy laughs. "You screamed because there was a bug?"

"IN THE BED!"

"I thought you were getting murdered!"

"I was! By this fucking bug!"

For dramatic effect you point at it. The sudden movement must startle it or something because it jumps again, making you flinch backwards.

Tommy's laughing louder now, placing his hands on your shoulders and lightly pushing you towards it.

"It wants to say hello!"

"NO! I DON'T WANT TO SAY HELLO TO IT!"

You duck out from his hands, crossing the room. "Kill it." You demand.

"It's just a friendly little fellow! Hello bug!"

"Kill it or I will move out right now."

Tommy pouts, catching the weird bug in his hands. "Come on, he's my new friend!"

"Kill. It."

"Say hello to it first."

Little shit. Fucking asshole.

You cross your arms, an empathetic no. Tommy laughs harder, opening the window and dumping the bug outside.

"Gone." He announces. "Fucking hell."

"Thank you."

"Big man Tom Simons saves the day yet again."

"My hero." You fake swoon, holding a hand to your head.

"I recorded that entire thing, so I'm putting it on Twitter."

"IF YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT-"

"I am not your crutch." You say, but don't move as Tommy puts a hand on your shoulder and uses you for balance as he wipes off his feet.

"Just stay still."

"I'm trying!"

He brushes off the sand before sliding his foot into his shoe, then moving onto the next foot.

"Hurry up." You sigh.

"I'm trying! Okay, okay, done."

"I can't believe you got that much sand on your feet-"

"You're about to have some fucking sand in your face!"

"Hey!"

"It's nice making them do all the work, isn't it?" Shelby asks, giggling as Tommy fake-lurches and acts like he's about to drop their food.

"Definitely." You agree, smiling at your boyfriend.

Wilbur isn't far behind Tommy, paying for all the food. They didn't order much, but you couldn't tell that from the way Tommy was acting.

Shelby was filming a "week in the life of" vlog, so you decided to all meet up and help her out with some content. You would do one, but you're not much of a YouTuber. Besides, Tommy's already done two since you've lived with him.

"Although if he actually drops that stuff Wilbur will kill him." You add.

"Oh, no doubt."

"Shelby Shubble!" Tommy calls out. "Shelby Shubble, why are you not filming me? I can be the star of the video!"

"I know! And that's why I've got to keep you minimized!" She exclaims.

"Me? Minimized?!"

Tommy sets down two drinks in front of you. One's yours, and the other is his. Both cokes, seeing as that's the superior brand.

The bag he drops in front of you is, again, both of your foods. McDonalds: putting multiple orders in one bag since it opened.

"Thanks, Toms."

He practically flings himself into the booth next to you, collapsing on your shoulder dramatically.

"I went through hell to get the food to you! Hell!"

Shelby starts laughing, and you roll your eyes. "Oh yeah? Did you see the devil?"

"I did! I did!"

"What'd he say?"

"He sounded a lot like Wilbur Soot—funny, that—and he said: 'Tom! Tom! You're the best man ever! The biggest! The only!' To which I obviously replied 'I have nothing on PhilzA Minecraft, thank you very much' but he didn't believe me!"

"Why not? PhilzA is the only man ever."

"He's the Devil, innit?" Tommy straightens suddenly. "Wait, you think Philza's the only man ever? Is he the best?"

"Well, if he's the only man ever…" Shelby jumps in. You nod along with the olders words, hiding your smile.

A hurt look comes onto Tommy's face, and he dramatically pouts at you both.

"Shelby Shubble, are you saying you'd pick Philza Minecraft me?" He waits for Shelby to nod before turning to you. "Aren't you dating me? Not Philza Minecraft?"

"Am I? I hadn't noticed." You hum, and Wilbur chooses this moment to come with his and Shelby's food.

"Wil!" Tommy exclaims. "Wil! I'm dating this bitch next to me, right?! Right?!"

"Uh-"

"So they should think I'm the best man ever!"

Wilbur's gaze sweeps over the three of you, and you try to imagine what he must see. Tommy, putting on the performance of a lifetime. Shelby, openly laughing behind a hand. And you, yrying and failing to hide your grin.

"I don't know, seems a bit controlling Tommy." Wilbur shrugs, taking his seat next to Shelby and handing over her things.

"Controlling?!"

Underneath the table, you nudge Tommy's hand with yours. Without missing a beat he entwines their fingers.

"Me? Controlling?" He continues.

Stealthily, you pick up a fry as he doesn't let up on his rant. Shelby nods, seeing your plan, and you throw it at him.

Tommy pauses, then bursts into laughter.

"What the fuck? You wasted a fry!"

At his words, the rest of their table goes up in a roar of laughter and happiness. Of course, the manager kicks them out for it, but it was so worth it.

I mentioned in a post about Real Life my criteria for an "iconic" teamup in the life series. My one and only rule for this category is the teamup needs to be directly referenced and acknowledged or repeated either in a later season, or in an outside series/setting.

(I want to make it clear this is my own personal criteria - you can categorise them however you want, this is just how I think about it in my head)

My current (probably incomplete) list is, in no particular order:

Desert Duo - this one is obvious, they can't stay away from each other, were paired again in Double Life, and came dangerously close to teaming again in Secret Life.

Treebark - they're so obsessed with each other. Martyn helped Ren the entirety of Last Life, then sought him out again in Double Life.

Team TIES - thank you, MCC, for letting me add this to my list.

Team BEST - I have these as two individual iconic teamups, BE (because Ethubs, both by themselves and as Clockers subcategory) and ST (because Skizz and Tango have their every season thing going on).

Clockers - they honestly had quite a lot of the vibes from this before Limited Life, LimL just strengthened it. Then, in Secret Life, they picked up where they left off, and also referenced it at least once that I can think of in Hermitcraft. (Also, that one clip in I think Cleo's video where they played TCG and Bdubs stopped gloating after Cleo threatened to use her mom voice)

Flower Husbands - unfortunately, this pair does fit into my category, even if I don't like it, because they went for it again in Empires.

Ranchers - I don't even need to explain this one, but I will, because I never have and never will pass up an opportunity to talk about Ranchers. They cannot stay away from each other. Every time they're in each other's vicinity, they gravitate to each other, they flirt, they subconsciously mimic each other's body language, they call each other "My fellow Rancher".

Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss - this is the teamup I mentioned in the post, saying they became iconic when they teamed up in Real Life.

Bad Boys - these three were iconic long before they teamed up in Limited Life, by virtue of being them. They are brothers in every universe, and they make it everyone else's and each other's problem.

Boat Boys - they're so obsessed fr.

Mean Gills - these idiots have fallen in love ten million times by now.

I'm debating whether I should add the Gossip Girls (Impulse and Bdubs) to this, purely for the fact that Impulse used a clock to symbolise a wedding ring in Grian's Guess the Build video.

The point is they're all so totally Not Normal about each other that sometimes you need to find a threshold for Not Normal, below which it falls back into Normal category just so we have done semblance of normalcy going on here.

I am just going to put this at the top : this post is going to be a long vent about missing Technoblade, please scroll on if you do not wish to read.

We are coming up on two years without him.

We are also coming up on three years since I discovered his content.

I thought I was at the point I could watch one of his videos tonight, as I used to often do when I am doing tasks or writing he was always the background noise I used. I remember calling into work when he streamed for the sheer sake of enjoying them while they happened the few times I caught them before...well. I think you know. He was the reason my passion for writing came back to life and I believed I could actually follow my lifelong dream of eventually publishing a story.

But I suppose the part I always forget about grief is the absence of the unique spirit that person brought to your life. I found his content and engaged with it instantly, developing one of the longest running fixations I have had in a good while. The sheer excitement I'd have getting the notification he went live for one of his rare streams.

I don't think it truly sunk in when he announced his diagnosis. I remember discussing it with the irl friend who got me into watching him and both of us laughed, saying he's strong enough to fight off anything.

A few months pass with his rare posts and there was always this tiny little bit of intuition I had where he never told us what severity of cancer it was. Like he was a very private guy, yes, but this seemed extra...odd.

Then I remember the way my heart sunk when 'so long nerds' popped into my notification bar. The dashing of my heart against the floor texting people as I tearfully listened to Technodad tell us the words his son Alex wished for us to hear.

Its been a long two years. Its been great ones, tbh. I found a new passion with QSMP and Hermitcraft after the finishing of DSMP [tho c!Techno will forever remain close to my heart]. I kept writing, with over half a million words in published fics on ao3 and several WIP including 3 original novels.

But the only one I ever wanted to thank for helping me find my creativity again I can't, and I never will be able to.

I miss Technoblade.

I will never stop missing him.

I wish he could have laughed with his friends for many years yet, being silently proud of their accomplishments while he messed with people on the QSMP. I wish he could have had another MCC with friends.

I wish his unique soul wasn't taken from us so soon, as we weren't done following our hero yet.

But the only thing I can do now is continue to speak his tales. The first book I properly publish, the gratitude page is going to be addressed to him. I will continue to tell others about his accomplishments and tell them to go watch his content on his Youtube channel [get him to 17 million!]! Buy some of his merch [when it comes back in stock]! Support his family & friends!

Though he would call us nerds for crying, I think its beautiful how many lives he touched and how many thousands mourned his passing. He was a light all corners of the MCYT sphere and beyond saw and respected, and not too many creators can claim such an honour.

I'll always be a Voice at my core. Even if I spend my time these days as a crow, a huevito, a ferret, a tubling, a doozer and many more, my heart will forever belong to Technoblade.

Please keep creating art and writing in his name. I love scrolling the fanart tags and adore every piece I come across with my favourite piglin in them. Please, please, please keep saying his name. Sing his legends. Make references, continue the jokes, hang out in one of his friends chats and support the people he loved.

Support those who are still here, even if your heart hurts.

It's only painful because we all loved him so much, which is a beautiful type of sorrow.

You teamed up with Karl, your main objective just to score higher than the Himbros known as Punz and Foolish. You traveled from Australia all the way to Los Angeles for this, boasting about how you and Karl were going to crush the Himbros online and even betting on it.

However, they'd never heard how heavy your accent was in real life, none of them. Voice calls and your microphone made you sound a little different and more understandable, contrasting to the usual way you spoke, your accent fairly heav. The way you pronounced words was clearly different from their way of pronouncing said words as well.

So, when you walked into the big old building, after getting verified and given a lanyard and bracelet for confirmation, you headed in to find your friends before the competition started. You end up finding your teammate -Karl- first, and he wraps you in a warm hug as to welcome you.

"Hi!" He smiles, pulling away as he rests his hands on your shoulders.

"Hey, nice to finally meet you in real life!" You smile, "Love the outfit"

He giggles, "Thank you, I like the way you say outfit, I didn't realize you sounded so Australian before!"

"Shush, shush, my accent sounds weird in real life, I know" You laugh, "I swear my microphone does something to me, I dunno how, but it does"

Karl smiles, "Well, c'mon, let's go meet Foolish and Punz" He bounces on his feet before grabbing your wrist and dragging you through the venue.

You quickly walk past many staff members, cameras and large stage lights, making your way up to the PC setups and the duos talking and walking about before events started. You and the brunette both look around for the dusty blonde and black haired friends you were competing against, scanning all the heads around the large area.

You feel a pair of hands land on your shoulders from behind, causing you to jump out of your skin and turn around as you yell.

"Fuck! Foolish, mate, not cool!"

He lightly laughs, embracing you in a hug as he repetitively apologizes. He's dressed in a blue t-shirt with a little Reebok logo over the left breast, paired with a chain, black sweatpants, and a snapback covering his shaggy hair. His hug is genuine and warm, you can feel the excitement coursing through both of you, excited to meet and compete with each other.

"Noah! Mate, you're killing me!" You dramatically cough, wriggling out of his arms, playing a bit.

"Why do you say my name like that?" He tilts his head with a smile, "You say it like No-ah"

Before you can answer, Punz wraps you in a hug from behind to scare you as well, and lifts you up off the floor. "Hey, Y/n"

You yelp in surprise and slight fear he'd drop you and you'd pop a muscle, trying to wriggle out from another man's arms again.

"Good Lord, what's with you all trying to give me a fuckin' heart attack?"

The three laugh and giggle a bit, teasing you about your accent, clearly needing a little time to get used to how you actually spoke. Punz sets you down on the floor, making sure your feet were flat and secure before pulling his arms away from your midsection.

"Now you, Luke-" You turn around to face the blonde, ready to throw a light punch at his shoulder.

"Hey, calm down, I was dared" He speaks, throwing his hands up in defense.

He wears a light grey-ish purple tie-dye hoodie and black cargo pants, matched with a plain black hat with a tiny, white antelope skull logo on the side. His little smile reveals the tiny gap in his two front teeth, which you take notice of, one of the many imperfections of your friends, imperfections that you only depict as perfections.

"Noah made me, swear to God" He chuckles, pointing back at Foolish, "Karl was in on it too"

You lightly shove his shoulder, "You guys are already driving me crazy"

Your accent really came out as you shouted at Karl, yelling at him to just move fast enough. It was all stress talk, considering thousands of dollars were on the line, but the brunette found amusement in the yelling, considering he couldn't stop laughing and giggling. Punz and Foolish obviously overheard, snickering and chuckling as they discreetly listened in, still locked in on the challenge.

After the second challenge, which you failed at horrendously considering your shit aim, you gather back around at the PC's, checking on your streams and making sure the walk-around cameras were doing alright. You talk to your chats and look over the scores before meeting up to talk before the next challenge, Basically Charades, started.

Your chat was exploding with comments regarding your friends talking about your accent and teasing you, warning you that they were definitely not done. You didn't think so anyway because they kept joking about how you were pronouncing words left and right. It's like they'd never heard you speak before.

You meet up with the three, sitting on one of the back ledges across from the stage. Punz sits on the far left end, then you, then Karl, his arms wrapped around you and Foolish on the other side of him. Foolish holds the camera up, smiling before setting it down at a good angle.

"Dude, no way were doing any good on fuckin' charades" You joke to Karl, nudging his side.

"Oh, no freaking way, we've already lost anyways, considering your dogwater aim." Karl lightly slaps the back of your head with his hand.

"We're literally tied with them. We can still win, Karl"

"Why are we discussing beating them literally right next to them?"

You open your mouth to speak, but shut yourself up rather quickly. He had a point.

Once you were on that stage, however, all anxiety had basically vanished from your body. You already knew you had an easier prompt and did better than the Himbros, who'd scored a 6/10.

Afterward, you recollect like a little swarm of flies, definitely stinky as you'd all been sweating the whole day. You chatter on as the scores are counted up and you're given a little break to calm down before returning to the desktops.

"I swear, if you make fun of my accent one more time, I might cry"

"L" Punz holds up the shape of an L, using his fingers to his forehead.

"Punz!-" Foolish laughs

"Oye mate, mah names Y/n and I down-know how to pruhn-ounce words correctly" Karl laughs, imitating your voice.

You jump on top of him, pinning him to the floor playfully, "I swear to God, I'm gonna eat you alive!" You lightly laugh, watching his face morph from surprise to fake terror.

"Y/n's an Australian cannibal! Help me!"

I'm not really all that crazy about purpled, but the way you/other dream stans talk about him and his mcc performances is v silly in my opinion. purpled is currently considered to be - by and large - the best mcc player, not only for his mechanics but also for his ability to drag or otherwise igl generally weak teams to dodgebolt, which he then loses because he's ass at db. I know you said that you're basing this off of outdated mcc knowledge, but please consider that you are a *dream* stan running your mouth abt a cc based on an outdated perception of their skills...surely you can see the irony. like does "he does well individually but can't lead a team because he is SELFISH" not sound exactly like the typa bs we'd make fun of a dranti for saying? they are mcc performances. it would say nothing at all about his character even if he was bad at leading teams, which to reiterate, he currently is not. we cannot beg drantis to please be normal about dream, and to not base their opinions on misinfo and outdated assessments of his character, only to turn around and do those exact same things for any cc whom shows the mildest dislike toward dtm. it is honestly surprising to me how little grace i see given to the average cc by other dream stans, when theoretically we should be the single most predisposed stan group towards just such a thing. like ??

Vex Hunger Kidnapping Griangst AU

CW: discrimination, starvation, cannibalism (non-consensual), gore

Grian (avian) and Cub (vex) are kidnapped by scientists on their way back from MCC. They are kept in a cell where Cub is starved until he goes feral and starts attacking Grian out of Vex instincts.

Also eats Grian a lot. Don't worry, Grian can respawn, but he respawns back in the cell in a puddle of his own blood, only to be torn to pieces again.

They are rescued by the hermits. Now traumatised! Yippee!

Things get worse before they get better

Basically, Grian’s self-destructive trauma urges: the movie

Evil Scar Corruption AU

Scar gets corrupted by the Vex which take over his mind. His love for Grian is mutated into selfish obsession, and eventually he kidnaps and tortures him in an attempt to make him stay forever.

Cuts off his wings and everything. (they grow back)

Eventually the hermits find out and lock Scar up while trying to heal Grian - but Grian broke somewhere along the way and now thinks what Scar was doing was true love.

Mumbo does not know whether he is an android or not - androids are a slave class / killed on sight since their war with humans, and humans need to carry ID to prove they are human. Mumbo has an ID, but the tests for humans vs. androids are basically meaningless and inaccurate

Pearl was part of the same group as Grian, was captured and sold into servitude

Scar stows away on Grian’s spaceship (stolen) - Grian freaks out but they become somewhat friends

Scar and Grian go to a planet notorious for hating humans, because Scar wants a job there and Grian wants to get rid of him - Grian gets caught and thrown in prison 

Scar meets Mumbo, a member of the planet’s court, and they work together to break Grian out and the three of them escape 

They journey through space, meeting up with folks like Tango - eventually the gang find a ship run by Watchers (a powerful alien race) and they discover Pearl on board

He needs to do this every few years to keep himself alive, as he is a unique cross between Watcher and player - except no one on Hermitcraft knows this about him, and Grian may have gotten distracted building for so long he forgot to take a vacation away from the server in time to go Bug Mode

So all they know is Grian is missing, and Xisuma is getting corrupted life signals from inside a mysterious chrysalis that has appeared - so they cut open the chrysalis while Grian is still reforming in there

He's goopy (body horror intent)

The Crafting Dead (vine boom sound)

Scar is our main focus here - he’s stuck in the zombie apocalypse world of The Crafting Dead, where he spent his childhood and teen years before being rescued by Xisuma - now in his 30s, he thinks he’s been stuck there his whole life 

Grian is having a bad time being fledged into a proper Watcher, forced to Watch, since he never escaped

Mumbo's in a cult and might be evil (it's fine. He's fine.) (Lie)

Pearl is roaming the forests with a ghostly wolf, her enemies blood long gone but still fresh on her hands as resources dwindle in a tiny world (Double Life)

Tango is chained like a beast in an underground fighting ring, labelled with a nickname that isn't his and placed in a betting pool with odds stacked highly in his favour (he always wins) (he has to win) (there is no respawn here)

The ones who walk away from Omelas AU

Based on the story 'The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas' but with my own changes, for fun. This is actually one of my faves.

In the city of Omelas, life is perfect - there is no crime, no homelessness, no suffering. It is a Utopia

This Utopia comes at a cost, a single citizen, chosen randomly, must bear the suffering of all others, kept alone, starved and entirely isolated, underground, their whole life

The children of Omelas are shown this suffering early, to get them used to the idea. When they are horrified, they are told about the greater good of this sacrifice.

When Scar is a child, he sees the suffering scapegoat, at the time around his own age, and vows to rescue him one day

Twenty years later, he makes good on that promise

Convexian Serial Killers AU

Scar and Cub are serial killers who kill while their housemate, Grian, is out working for days on end

Grian happens to come home early one time and finds them mid-kill

After a series of breakdowns and a lot of throwing up, Grian gets kind of into it tbh

He watches the kills (and enjoys taunting the victims) and acts as friendly, harmless bait for other victims

Scar and Cub also introduce him to cannibalism, and he gets a little bit obsessed with trying to hunt down other avians to kill

Scar and Cub are human, while Grian is an avian, and though Scar expresses his love with violent fantasies, they would never hurt Grian

Grian's friends: Mumbo, Jimmy and Pearl, may have a little to say about this when they find out ^-^

Inspired by the lovely Ani-Bats, here are some of my favorite sims blogs that I’ve followed this past year. This is such a short list and I plan to add on the many more simblrs that I adore.

Solar Simblr has a hilarious and eventful BACC. Currently my favorite post is the elite Polycule of Emerald Pines moving in together.

Arendholm is a set of islands that has recently been settled by Anglo-Saxon’s circa 500 AD. My favorite post was the dispute between two brothers. I love Hildulf, he’s a messy guy but at least he pulls through

Sims2Golblin runs a MCC. My favorite posts are about their witch coven. I also like how they do servants. There is one large servant lot which I may steal for Veonia.

SimmingRegency has lots of good stuff on their blog. Currently they're playing a Stardew valley esque/build up the farm challenge. Lots of subtle drama that I LOVE.

Katatty has a MCC. I can't even express enough how much I liked her side story into Jiaojing. It's inspired me to create a more extensive backstory to my Asian sims and have them travel back to their home country. (They're merchants so its perfect") I just love the whole MM aesthetic.

Lilleputtu's MCC is something I reread at least once a year. I love the aesthetic and the story. A very relaxing and fun read.

So I just found out that there was an antisemitic incident at my university's multicultural center over the weekend. They posted on their instagram page and literally on their door that zionists aren't welcome. And of course, I don't think the MCC has ever put on a Jewish event because Jews don't count for multiculturalism. And also I had ton find out on reddit because out student paper is incredibly biased and didn't even bother to report it, but they make sure to report all the sjp rallies and vigils though they don't share names or photos because those idiots feel "unsafe" and the paper naturally has to abide by their request. But when the Jews hold a vigil or rally for the hostages, names and faces are shared. This is all in addition to the shabbat table display for the hostages being vandalized last quarter.

Okay I want to hear your thoughts on sapnap and mcc bc oh boy that sounds interesting

No because, genuinely there are old clips of people laughing when they bring him up because they know he's popular but they don't want to see anything bad about him. Like you can barely tell it's chuckle.

As you may know originally teams were categorised based on 2 factors. Vibes. And if they could go a long period of time without swearing or not.

In the Skizz and Imp podcast, Scott laments about how it was so hard to categorize people who could not go an extended period of time with swearing in their stream and with people who could not stop swearing.

And there is more people who are PG/ can go a long time without swearing, then non-pg people, the podcast was recorded roughly a bit before the sapnap drama with MCC but it was still bubbling.

I need you to go back and watch that podcast because even if they were clear examples you can still sense who he's talking about, because genuinely sapnap would swear so much but even non-pg people wanted to avoid playing with him. If you go back to watches old MCC wins you can hear the nervous chuckles of people when he begin to swear.

Additionally one time they were trying out a new system on MCC and a lot of people were aware of that and it came out that the math was wrong and two teams should have got first place instead of just one because of the math, and One team was willing to just relent a bit and at the end of the day walk away. But Sapnap on his own had caused such a fuss that they still had to give him a coin and had to let him compete in DodgeBolt, and how to get a crown for him post his picture saying that he won along with his team. I cannot describe to you the absolute tantrum that man went on. Over a coin. He was so disrespectful that he didn't come back for a couple mccs after.

There is a genuine reason why a collective group of people do not want him to compete in MCC.

And you're probably wondering why did he compete in the MCC recently? Because before the main deal of him being signed to kick.com he had already signed the application and had been accepted to do MCC. The same week he came out and said that he was joining kick.com and that a lot of it young viewers should join kick.com

People with begging Scott to remove him, but kick.com just gave that man 20 million and he would definitely find a suitable lawyer to take his case because he earns a substantial amount of money from MCC.

But why would he Sue over MCC? I have a longer post going through this, but I will explain it here to.

Scott couldn't say no. For alot of reasons but here are 2 off the top of my lil head

1. Him not allowing sapnap to compete in MCC after already accepting his application is illegal form of discrimination regarding someone's work. Because he would be discriminating against how he does his work and what he uses to do his work, ( a more clearer example of this would be for someone to reject another person's application because they found out that they were Binman/wasteman, explaining the other people thought it was filthy). In reality

Scott had no basis to withdraw his application and to withdraw his place because most arguments (which are true), had came from social media and it could be argued that the people on social media influence Scott to make that decision and therefore sapnap could have lost a large portion of revenue as a self-employed person that MCC and Scott would have had to repay him based on statistics.

Again I have a longer post going through the law on this but I fact checked everything, and he would genuinely have a legal basis to sue them for discrimination.

And Scott had to take all the stray bullets for that. Because in the UK you have to consent to a formal document being shared with someone else. And even though this is an application for a game it's still an application. So he couldn't share the content of the application because it's illegal here.

Also in the podcast Scott mentions him having a waiting list and then bring this up the applications and you brings up a rough idea of when they application started, and you could actually guess when the applications started From when sapnap started turning up less frequently. Meaning that he was one of the many reasons why the application was made in the first place.

2. Publicity. Sapnap brought a lot of viewers to can watch MCC and it's argued that if Dream and George were there but Sapnap was not there, the pair would not participate regardless of what team they were on because their friends. (BBH actually brings up how close their friendship is when he was defending dream against one of his many allegations and you can tell how close the friend group is. An in Sapnap's Defense of dream he literally goes on about how close they are and in the deleted vod he said wherever he goes I go).

But getting back on track, at the time without the large audience that MCC had it would have not been as sustainable as it is today. They definitely contributed to the success in the early days along with others as it will seen as a new form of Minecraft Monday.

He also raged pretty hard when in MCC 14 Scott's team won after giving hints to his teamate, to win ace race. To which half of his team didn't even finish. And they actually placed lower than top 3 in that event. Scott goes on to say about how he and other had tested it, they were giving instructions and Sapnap did actually finish.

But he was so mad that Scott team had won at a game that EVERYONE was objectively bad at that thiers a 15 minutes video of him screaming about it in Youtube.

Scott later went on to say him and many others who did finish also tested the map, and he always give hints to his team, AND SAPNAP HAD WON AN EVENT WITH SCOTT'S HELP AND USING SCOTT'S HINTS. It's only when he didn't win he had a problem with it.

Sapnap cried when he didn't win, and blame everyone about it yet shot up his ego when he did.

And admittedly he did get better as time went on but dude needs a whole ass team fr-

Are realistically you couldn't call the two of them friends they were more, a friend of a friend. And even if Scott didn't like them objectively over people like them and that's why they were there.

Sapnap but did not come back after the kick.com incident and I doubt he will.

And on that notion a lot of streamers have younger audiences ranging from children to teenagers to young adults. While kick.com is a primarily adult site, not completely adults but you're gonna see some weird things. The majority of streamers who participate in MCC, obviously are going to be put into teams. And if you were put into a team with Sapnap, who was streaming on kick.com, you might think to yourself "wow he'd fun ill check him out!" then boom pedo in your Dms.

For many streamers involved in the event he was not ideal to keep around because realistically he was endangering of a people's audiences while pumping out publicity from his own.

It was not fair to other streamers that their young audiences could we expose to an objectively talented person streaming on one of the worst sites known, and he signed this deal back when kick.com has no moderation, so imagine all the convicted sex offenders, criminals and gambling on the site, then in an attempt to get a younger demographic onto the side it paid Sapnap using the money that they gained from gambling to effectively switch over ( because, and Tubbo did a stream on this and summarized it accurately, because he had a couple conversations with this CEO and for money. Not for the audience).

Meaning that everyone is immediate circle who wanted to continue to watch his content or learn who he was through major events like MCC would download the app and then over your targeted by a lot of older people.

And actually this was the basis that allowed Scott to never bring him back but Scott could not get rid of him for the MCC because it would be legally discrimination.

There are a bunch of things too that I could say about how at the start the only people he would team with would be mostly from the dream SMP and how that directly correlates with how people described him in person, ( trying to control and dominate people), and how people like Niki were too scared to say no at the time, but it be a bit late my dude

The takeaway from this is that he was MCC Problem Child and that Scott couldn't immediately kick him out due to discrimination despite reassurance that he changed his behavior only to immediately sign to kick.com. How he'd endangered both his young audiences and other if he actually stayed. How we used to scream and yell at every one of his mistakes to the point where people didn't want to compete with him. How he would target people who faulted him within the game. And even how he practiced the game so much to the point where they had to make new maps and that if he would lose it would genuinely be down to his team and not him as a player because he had practiced so much meaning that his team felt worse after they didn't win because they knew it was their fault instead of just being happy to play the game ( like you remember when they blew up parkour warrior and replaced it with a new map because of them)

He was just realistically a mess and I'm surprised they tolerated him so long, because the amount of money they have to drop on changing things because the Dream Team had paid someone to recreate some of the maps so that they could practice, and then other people started doing that in which they would memorize a certain game practice that game and then come out on top ( an example of this would be technoblade, who memorised all materials needed for BuildMart and they had to change it and he was basically told that he couldn't do that and he was actually sorry because he didn't know because other people like we're doing it. And again with Technoblade killing people in Bingo to which in the Stream he says he didn't know that you could kill people in Bingo and once people figured it out that would be the strategy until they changed it. Philza practicing ace race maps as he had someone build an almost identical copy of the original because other people were doing it. Wil and other, trying to perfect The Glitch block technique and that's one point someone had commissioned another person to remake the map to see where it was going wrong so that they could utilize the bug instead of playing the game). All these things have in common that they were all in the same server at one point and that the dream team had started this trend but all of them stop doing it when they were told to stop doing it but the Dream Team didn't to the point where even Sands of Time had to be changed, parkour warrior, sky battle, battle box, parkour tag and TGTTOS had to be changed, and they actually sparked the "maybe we should have different maps" trend

Because it was a poorly hidden secret that they'd paid people to re-create maps so that they could practice. (but Scott giving hints is cheating he says while paying someone to remake parkour tag so that they can get a perfect run)

Dsmpblr stuff in one big archive post

The fake ranboo arg (run by a blog some people thought was ranboo or a kinnie. It never was, but instead was some sort of arg surrounding the ranboo lore. Multiple characters, like the Duke, duchess, and a discord server where people started translating the posts (which were all in ender, or minecraft galactic) (link to doc)

Minesonas, and then subsequently citizen memes. This was contained within three non-consecutive weeks, where people were discussing whether lmanburg had citizens or if it did, what would it be like?

People upset over ghostburs library being blown up. There were a lot of books in there important to a storyline, and some blogs were very upset they couldn't be archived

Mcytblr awards, which had a doc and everything (link)

DSMP sexyman!!!!! The competition one blog held to go over all the supposed sexymen in mcytblr, and if they were or not. The doc for this is here (link)

Dilfcourse (world sluttiest absent father) this went on prior to philza eventually finding out he was being called a dilf, and I think there may have been a poll (?) About who was the biggest dilf right after the one mcc with all new art of certain male ccs, but it also basically ended when philza got temporarily mad about tumblrites not wanting him on tumblr, and discovered dilfza. Then when he said he didn't like it, the entire "titty window" philza design disappeared and everyone stopped posting dilfza.

Philza nerfing a blog for an url (I think it turned out that tumblr did it? But it was still WEIRD) and EVERYONE got mad about it.

The one quackity kinnie blog? During this time, a ton of kinnie blogs popped up and the quackity one sticks in my head because it was kind of convincing

Drinnie. Another kinnie blog, I actually never knew if this one was real. It was more activ3 before I joined, but it was still a pretty large thing in small mcytblr.

Whatever we had going on with piss. I think dream started the pissbaby thing and it stuck. That was so big for so long

The split between dteamblr and dsmpblr. Also the protectiveness we kind of handed off between them. Being such a closely related fandom in the publics eyes, dsmpblr and dteamblr would both get hate anons about Dream and I still recall going to bat for them sometimes. Also the discussed "gnf sickness". I don't want to mention him because he's a horrible man and deserves jailtime but it was a part of it.

Mcytboundaries. Does anyone else remember that blog? That thing was so important in the first seven months I was here.

The death of kinnies. When those few kinnie blogs that cropped up started getting really upset over getting tons of copypastas and took them seriously. I remember being so annoyed at them because if you make a kinnie blog (NOT a roleplay blog) thats the culture!!! You knew that was going to happen!!!! Put a disclaimer in your bio or something gosh.

Beacon lamps sudden ubiquitous posts. Similarly with 420technoblazeit, sometimes there would be a joke that just stuck around because it was them who posted it.

This one's more recent, but those sootblr bloggers who kept having almost e-sex in random peoples notes. Even bloggers outside of mcytblr. What was up with those guys

Not wanting ccs on tumblr. Not an event, just the overarching opinion that it would be a bad thing. It slowly died off as an opinion during late 22, something that made me and a few other og mcytblrs very sad or hesitant because people would start sharing tumblr posts with the ccs. I remember It felt like the final death of og mcytblr to me

Does anyone remember if there was that one dsmp citizen server and if it actually happened???? That might be a fake memory.

Tubbo tumblr!! This is multiple events, but he mentioned he had one in early dsmp, and it kind of overjoyed people. Then, months later, he started scrolling on stream and people made posts (INCLUDING myself) about being so genuinely scared of him being online. Out of all of the "dsmper makes a tumblr" instances, I think this was the one with the most positive reaction.

KARL HATEPOSTING. When for a month in 2021 everyone just HATED him for no real reason, maybe because of tftsmp?. I think it stemmed from two blogs, and then got its start in og mcytblr circles. I remember my ex mutual squid got too into it, it was really crazy. Why did we even do that.

The like, Hermitcraft vs Dsmpblr sudden dichotomy. One day I remember all of a sudden there were hermit blogs, and a few dsmp blogs after them, that started getting really pissy over people referring to dsmpblr as "mcytblr" because it wasn't the whole of mcytblr. Gosh that was so stupid and funny.

Those days people posted about crying over lost vods. Whenever someone did, it would catch like a virus and EVERYONE would start talking about how sad it was.

Kroger anon...Hearty anon...my loves. Hearty Anon was like the darling of mcytblr. I didn't even know they were a real blog I just thought they were like Kroger Anon. Always wanted one of those.

Finding out wooteena was like 11. Not actually eleven, but seriously everyone thought they were like an adult person I don't know.

Subtle, but the mcytblr friendgroups and different parts having beef with each other. It was really lowkey, but I'm sorry metfell and conarcoin and their whole deal had some real haters. thats probably because they were kinda mean sometimes.

INNITER OPRESSION. gosh I remember how giddy I would get defending myself over the url and saying it was just the first thing I thought of. If you had a certain url you were a magnet for sections of mcytblr in the silliest of ways I loved it so much. little cultural pockets for every streamer.

THE TUMBLR PODCAST. Those guys on tumblr that talked about us once!!!! On a podcast!!!! Similarly, all those times we dominated not only the trending page when there was a stream, but also the fandom reports tumblr put out about which keywords and tags were most popular. Whenever someone dropped down or moved up it was really "campeao del Mundo" in the mcytblr tags. And the slow decline and us being really really sad when a spot went -15...

DOES anyone else remember the triad. Mcyt reddit, Twitter, and tumblr. How Twitter thought we had a rivals to lovers thing but actually we just hated their guts. There was fanart and everything

When the Twitter refugees came over and the first wave was semi hate and semi welcoming. Everyone came around for the second wave, but the first exodus was 85% hesitant welcome and 15% vitriol and fear.

The discourse about calling them Twitter refugees??? Because refugees are "an actual thing" we couldn't call them that anymore. I just thought it was a little stupid.

Not a specific "event" but more a shift from analysis posts and liveblogs to art and headcanon posting. There was a time in the beginning where everyone theorized about anything and everything. As the dsmp aged and mcytblr grew it became so much more isolated, I still don't understand why people stopped using liveblog tags. Bring them back!!!!! Aurghh!!!!!!

When mcytblr (like nine people out of it) started going after some dude? I forget. But there was a harassment campaign, and death threats allegedly and some big blogs made a whole deal out of it and started saying how mcytblr was no different or better than mcytwt and I don't remember if it was justified or stupid. It was for sure after the first Twitter migration and possibly after the second.

Just about everything I remember, besides the discourse about tommy/others getting rid of the dsmp monuments or builds that had been there a really long time like the Wal-Mart and it being really heated for a while. Man it's 3AM and I'm mad about dehydration as a concept so don't @ me but every so often I'll see a post abt the DTeam and it's like . Okay listen ik that DTeam stans of 2023 straight up do not care about reality but like it really is kind of miserable on some level that people still think DTeam are at the forefront or even particularly good wrt making gaming more accessible and welcoming like . People within and without their community have been doing better than them which is to say anything for years and like . Idk. I've been watching a lot of StarCraft and like competitive StarCraft is NOT a very progressive space it is very Gamer in that sense but like . There is more accountability and responsibility in stuff that some clueless white gamer guy makes about StarCraft II balance troubles than there is in anything the DTeam have ever said abt MCC. Within and w/o Minecraft gaming communities are Trying To Be Better in many cases there is an active effort by a lot of people even people who aren't very aware or informed to combat toxic and bigoted attitudes in their communities in a way that I don't think I've ever seen DTeam be proactive in in the same way. I really have no idea where I see Ranboo going from here. There are plenty of big creators who do good (Jacksepticeye's Thankmas, MCC charity events) and to me, the Particles for Palestine event was like that. A big creator utilizing their platform to raise awareness and charity. I... genuinely I don't see how people are so upset with Ranboo over . what? Not doing more? Not coming out with in-depth, nuanced reactions to global events? When they probably knew as much as you or I did.

Yes he broke promises, he is not a guiltless victim; he kept playing TLOU2 even after told of its inspiration, he didn't do as much charity as he said he would, and it's good he's acknowledging that, but this visceral reaction to him runs deeper than that, it looks like? I feel like he should stop raising peoples' expectations and over-promising; he's one guy, he's young.

I know it's probably mostly in Twitter--in the Tumblr tags, the worst I saw was a couple people calling them spineless (sorry Ranboo, but good lird, he is a little bit spineless for not telling people to stop idolizing him). But I can't wrap my head around the logic behind people going after his ankles.

Now, I personally can't think of anyone fitting the "get destroyed" option you claim has happened, Anon. So I'll be honest I think it's a little bit overdramatic, but I agree with you in that I'm also worried for Ranboo.

I worry that a whole nonprofit will be too much for them. That is a whole organization, and even if they have others working with them, that is a lifelong commitment. This is something he cannot back out of (or he will be making another empty promise) or give to someone else to handle (he said he would be active in it).

Ranboo has Generation Loss/Chronicle 0, White Noise, The Sorry Boys (if that still exists. please it's been months,), his usual streams and YouTube videos, and his own personal life and self to tend to. Genuinely, I worry a whole entire nonprofit organization that intends to address very heavy topics will break the camel's back. I don't know what that will look like, but I doubt it'd be great for his mental health and anxiety (and I worry talking too much about that, lest I get parasocial, if I haven't already!).

(I'll be honest, I don't expect the organization to go anywhere past its first few months of existence; if it does, it will be without their major role in it, or they'd be stretched too thin. I feel bad for saying that.)

All due respect to him, of course, but he is a variety gamer on twitch dot teevee, and I do not understand why people demand more and more charity and apology from him when his job is to play video games and make people laugh.

I get why people want him to state his stances, to be assured he supports Palestine. To be vocal about a tragedy happening. I get why people expect a charity stream during pride month, or an eventual donation to somewhere to help during a disaster. What I do not understand is how this isn't enough for some people.

I rarely actually make posts, usually just reblog things as I see 'em. I do enjoy writing fanfic (currently MCYT), and typically post it on my ao3! I'm an adult, though, so some of my stuff is in fact explicit—beware! Most of it isn't, but, y'know, worth a warning.

I'm also a bit of an archivist—I (sort of accidentally) dedicated my 2024 to fleshing out the plot of impulseSV's Hermitcraft episodes on the wiki, and this year I hope to start a personal archive of his content, and to do the same for Skizzleman.

I also have a strangely comprehensive set of notes on MCC tactics, separated by game and map, and have an extremely detailed set of notes on the Blue Bats of MCC 9. I don't even like MCC that much.
