It changes day to day but right now I have @clottedcreamfudge going fucking feral at me over [Hockey bf Henry] at any given hour of the day which definitely makes it really fun to just... write a snippet and immediately be shrieked at.

5. Which WIP do you find the most intimidating to write? Why? For some unknown reason, Years of dreams just can't be wrong which is the Anastasia AU?? I don't know why it's fucking with me so much, but it's very rude actually.

6. Which WIP do you experience the most self-doubt about. Why? The way we get into each other's bones [Angstapalooza RWRB Edition] -- it's gonna be a balancing act in terms of not being gratuitous emotional pain etc

15. Which WIP do you have the highest expectations for? Why? The way we get into each other's bones [Angstapalooza RWRB Edition] -- I wrote a fic lovingly deemed angstapalooza for another fandom and people collectively lost their shit over it, so... idk I guess y'all love pain???

16. Do you dream about any of your WIPs? Yes. And then I wake up and can't remember enough to write it down and then I cry.

17. Do any of your WIPs have particular complexities that your other fics don't? Oh for sure! The Last Five Years || The Next Five Years has the non-chronological chapter order baked into the format, so making sure the chronology is right and that readers can follow where we're at is a complexity. [horny soulmates] has one of those worldbuilding things where the less thought you put into it as a reader the better because otherwise it's a Problem so trying to make sure it makes sense without being horrifying if you think about the real world implications is a balance lmao. What's left of me in our little vignette has some time-related fuckery. [Orpheus and Eurydice] is written in verse, so. You know.

18. Which WIP is the funniest or has the most humour? In terms of what's actually written right now, probably Hold up, rewind, knock me off of my feet? But I like to think they're all funny lol.

19. Do any of your WIPs contain outside POVs or a deep dive on a character other than the main ship? How are you finding that process? [Henry/Alex/Liam/Spencer] runs through all four listed POVs which is fun and also requires a lot of pondering about whose POV we have when for maximum impact. [Rafael prequel], Rafael is surrounded by disaster queers [Actor AU verse], Secret Agent Raf 5+1 [Actor AU verse] are all Rafael POV, but the latter two are actor AU verse so I have a bit more leeway -- the first one is is canon compliant, though, so teasing out the little info we get about him and building the timeline is a beast of a job. [Shaan/Zahra] is fully epistolary so doesn't technically have a POV I guess.

20. Tell us one thing we don't know about one or more of your WIPs. The way we get into each other's bones [Angstapalooza RWRB Edition] is a prologue + 10 chapters and all those chapters are titled already lol, because I've never approached something in a normal order in my life.

okay, i may or may not commit to a Real Reboot (i made the blog but it's not flowing). but here is what i am definitely committing to:

i am no longer going to remove laura from twin peaks (canon, not necessarily town). i WILL write something up that will make this less potentially daunting to newcomers.

i am only going to focus on a few verses. other than the specific 'laura survives her injuries and goes on to Live A Life' timeline --- which is still our main priority --- they will all be canon-centric.

unless i am writing her as carrie page (which i enjoy greatly btw), she will probably still be a teenager. not definitely --- there are some storylines with other canons i still Want Here, and they may or may not end up being easier for the rest of you, too --- but i am wary of straying too far from The Narrative and my actual intentions with this blog. my main priority has always been, like, making laura Accessible To Everybody, but it just doesn't... work. like that.

I want to make a record of ragnarok and percy jackson crossover fic too but one thing continues to befuddle me... HOW THE HELL DO DEMIGODS EVEN WORK THERE? I checked the wiki and 'demigods' don't even get a page about it, they just get a short paragraph under the 'gods' wiki page and their explanation didn't even make any sense! I think I just have to make something up..

I didn't understand shit about demigods in ror verse omfg. I tried to reread the early manga chapters and here's what I learned so far:

Heracles is NOT a demigod. He WAS one. Remember when he was still human and he drank Ambrosia (aka Zeus' blood) in order to protect Thebes? When he drank the Ambrosia, he gained the strength of a god, BUT WAS STILL HUMAN. He was then referred to as a 'demigod' up until he finally ascended to godhood. So in Heracles' case, being a demigod means being a human with the strength of a god.

The Valkyries are a different case. None of them were born human because back in chapter one, Brunhilde states "I met [Lu Bu] on the battlefield" meaning she was at least over 1000 years old and immortal, which implies the other sisters are too. I have no idea if they're goddesses or just some other immortal being, but despite being born immortal, the Valkyries are still considered "demigods"

Not only that, but in the earlier chapters it was revealed that Brunhilde was once turned into a human and that's why she and the Valkyries are so sympathetic to them. The manga has yet to expand on what happened, but I headcanon that maybe in the Valkyries are considered demigods because they're immortal beings with the heart of a human (so basically the opposite of pre-ascension!Heracles)

So far, there have been no indication of any demigods that are actually BORN half-human and half-god like in the pjo verse. There's one other demigod, Siegfried, but it might be awhile since his story is expanded on 😟

SOOOO I decided to make my own shit up and make it impossible for humans to carry godly children in the ror verse. That way, when my fem!Percy gets isekai-ed there, she would be ✨special✨

Backstory: (To be updated!) He's an odd one, to put it mildly. No one really knows who or what he is (or why). He haunted by The Horrors(tm) that he never talks about because if he tries, he spirals into an unending, torturous mental abyss of madness and discord, but it's fine! Really! He's chipper and eager to go play detective at any given moment, really - having fallen in love with the old detective show persona(s) and thusly adopted one himself. Which sometimes gets others hurt if they're of the 'living' variety, especially. He's unintentionally a bit cold when it comes to the well-being of others, and tends to be rather theatrical and performative in his "caring" for others without realizing it, mistaking it often for genuine caring. If he's called out on it, he will deny it (unless he genuinely just doesn't care about the person in which case, he will openly admit it because 'it is what it is! and that's okay!' is how he sees things). He's genuinely unaware of his reckless and harmful behavior most of the time as he lives in such a different state of mind and being from most other entities in this universe, let alone those of earth. .

Someone once called him "Father Time" and it just kind of ... stuck. Though he never calls himself it outright, if introducing himself he'll likely just tell you that you CAN call him that, or whatever you want really. Sometimes people call him Richard (a play off the name Dick, like detective yes... because he's a comedian and is his own biggest fan).

Dream of Wed 30/3/22. [pg.1]

I thought it was quite interesting, so I attempted to draw as much as I could remember in the best chronological order I could remember.

Setting no.1

Here's how I'm sure it started: [pg.2]

So it seems that I'm aware of what's going on (it's in first person sometimes), but this is actually from May Pokemon's* perspective.

She seemed to be visiting the town with some unnamed/unspecified adult guardians (who were doing something else and were not Norman, or his wife, or Prof. Birch).

Wandering alone. Probably out drinking.

*Cerise dream trope no.1: A Pokémon character or more appears. It is almost always game-verse, not anime-verse.

May hung around the town, [pg.3] exploring old, rocky buildings and enjoying the (early evening/late noon?) view of the town.

(Also no shoes because that's associated with the beach or smth)

Cerise Note: "Personally, I would've given her shoes. She's walking on old ass rocks."

At the same time, on the main beach, [pg.4] (oh God here comes trope no. 2*..😰)...

A certain Dreamscape regular was attractively there, on the beach, and clad in casual nautical-themed summer garb.

Cerise Note: "Not the first time he's worn nautical clothing in a dream..."

He was having a great time! [pg.5] He was actually with Serena! And my X protag. They went to the isolated shore by small boat, and May was seen on a separate boat.

Actually, I came up with the rest of my little song* [pg.6] in that dream. I swear I've heard the tune from another song before, but I can't remember it. Oh well. This is what I saw when I figured out the words:

Hwoahh woah woah. HATSUNE MIKU?!? [pg.7] ON A CANAL BOAT!? That's right. New setting. And I'm the protagonist now! ahaha~♡

Okay, so here's the canal setting:

So I'm on the canal (Miss Miku is gone now), [pg.8] and I have a quest to turn crates and stuff over. But I don't know how to...

"How do I do this?" No reaction...

So I go somewhere else to find answers! New setting!

(But first we go back to May at midnight)

(1) She's on some sort of allotment roof. [pg.9] One of the adults and HE. is there.

(2) But that's all there is for May now. Now it's my turn!

Tennis Court.

CHICKENS! Forest. City & more

So I had to flip the box over. [pg.11] I went to the chicken coop for my first side quest and this is what went down:

Yours truly: "OMG! CHICKENS!" *textless panel with chickens. *stares cutely* "MASA." omg omg

Masa from Meta Runner: "If you wanna play with the [pg.12] chickens, you have to deliver parcels."

ACCEPT QUEST? -Bruh, ofc.

ACCEPTED!

Moi: "Okay~♡!"

"And that's how I ended up-" WE INTERRUPT THIS DREAM TO BRING YOU... TENNIS.

Tennis Match! (one of the characters is labelled as "SUGI"*)

*This is the name of my PLA protag. But this character isn't actually him, and I knew this in my dream.

Okay, so this guy was using MY SON'S. NAME. [pg.13] But he SUCKED at tennis.

Not my boy My boy!

Like, he was so bad, I had to take control of him like I was playing Wii Sports. Needless to say, I won because Wii Sports is easy.

"Good grief you suck."

Then I delivered a parcel to Mario, [pg.14] who lived in the big apartment.

(Mind you, it was like, 3am or smth.)

I also delivered some other parcels, but I only saw Mario in the montage.

Parcels delivered, I went back to the chicken coops to [pg.15] see Masa and get my reward (chicken.)

I took a wrong turn (intended) and saw N and Hilda. For some reason, N was just his official art.

...So I went back to the chicken coop.

Something that resembled Dawn was... there? [pg.16] Near the coop? Eerily pretty?

(Normal Dawn for emotional support)

The Grinch had replaced Masa! [pg.17] It was 5am. The sun was rising.

The Grinch pulled me into his Grinchly embrace..

And sang a Grinch song! [pg.18]

"Great! I can turn that crate over now!

SIDEQUEST COMPLETE!

I went back on my boat on the canal so I could [pg.19] return to the crate and flip it over.

Jimbo* from The Simpsons was there. I made him feel uneasy as I passed by in my sexy boat.

*Simpsons characters have a 96% chance of appearing in my dreams. Are my dreams Simpsons episodes?

Finally, box time. [pg.20]

Then my alarm went off and the dream was over. I never got to flip the box.

i really need to make a proper wishlist page

i'd like to explore a whole bunch of different areas in n's life--- as you can probably tell extremely easily with the verse whose sole job is letting me write feral child n in a lovely little bubble where the interactions don't have to and in fact by design can't affect my main portrayal and is literally just a playground sandbox for me to play in with my little plastic shovel and little plastic bucket

i'm gonna take advantage of this to basically just. consolidate my thoughts on said areas in n’s life along with what i’d like to do with each point since it’s pretty much one big wishlist on its own. get ready for a big read i PROMISE the way that i am answering this prompt makes sense to me in my head btw i do my best to explain it at the end of this

basic verse type 1: canon/detached canon

child n: verse is already set up, it's detached from the main verse but is also a real reflection of n's childhood. i've done stuff with this but i'd love to do even more! (especially when it involves anyone who's interested in the whole heritage mystery thing because i have many a little secret here heehee)

early plasma n: something i'd like to explore, but perhaps not rp out, since the only people he's got contact with there is plasma and i find n more fun to write when his views are being/have been challenged. since i don’t think i’ll rp this one, anything written in this area of n’s life would 1. be 100% canon 100% of the time and 2. exclusively consist of drabbles/headcanon posts/etc

mid-bw n: the thing holding me back from making this a verse proper is i would find a LOT of difficulty writing mid-bw n for extended periods of time and i especially don’t think i could do it unplotted--- not now, at least. there’s too much i want to do with current n before i would want to delve too far into mid-bw n (for threads, at least). that being said i’d love expanding on him and the bw protag and especially making their encounters longer/adding in additional encounters, ESPECIALLY before the ferris wheel reveal. let the reveal be more of a betrayal. let them be friends first, then have that shaken when he tells them who he is. in fact, change the ferris wheel conversation a little as well. i’m a little on the fence about n immediately telling them he’s the king of plasma; on the one hand, i think there being more of a buildup would be nice, but on the other hand, it’s very n to think that being very honest very quickly would help, and he wouldn’t know why that might put a damper on a perfectly good ferris wheel ride when it’s barely had a chance to begin. definitely something i’d like to go into

basic verse type 2: branched off from canon

we’re back at child n again: but this time… adopt him. just straight up gank that baby. well actually don’t do that or the entirety of lostlorn is gonna beat your ass but like ghetsis managed to convince n to leave the forest, so can you if you try! obviously though this has to be like. planned out beforehand though lol but it’s something that would be fun to play with and also very cute

mid-bw n but ghetsis never happened: FULLY FERAL ADULT N LET’S FUCKING GOOOO i really really wanna write this actually. mid-bw PLASMA n is hard to write because he’s moodier and misanthropic, but mid-bw PLASMA, NOT KNOW n is just. child n but he’s an adult now and following the same basic plot of bw but in an ENTIRELY different way. i’ve actually got so much i wanna do with this it’d need its own bullet point list just to cover everything but like. i REALLY wanna do stuff with this verse i need a tag for it though and i’m not sure what to do for icons i vaguely feel like i should differentiate between regular n and this weird feral n because their designs are different (at least until someone takes him shopping for some real clothes, lol)

mid-bw n but it’s heroes of fire and thunder: i mean okay if i expand on mid-bw n the way i want to with adding more him + protag interactions that’s pretty close to hofat anyway (love that acronym always makes me giggle) but still. if you’re not familiar hofat is an official manga unrelated to pokespe that was never translated wherein n actually becomes the travelling companion of the bw protag (specifically touya so admittedly my isshushipping bias is a factor here) and isn’t just someone who occasionally has chance meetings with him (... iirc). and i LOVE that concept love love love it i was actually exploring it back in 2017, 2018ish with a touya rper but alas… one of us went inactive and now that i’m Not inactive i don’t really know if they’re still around in pokerp. shujinkuro if you’re out there i remember and miss you sorry my n was cringe as hell back then… but anyways. fun concept to explore at the time and something i’d love to delve into again

as you can see i have my own weird labelling system for verses/aus here “basic verses” are extremely to mostly canon-adjacent and very little about the fundamentals of who n is is changed especially the circumstances of his super early childhood so these all kind of fall under one umbrella of “a whole bunch of different areas in n's life” as opposed to like… a pmd verse or a jjba verse or something. that’s essentially my justification for using this One ask for all of these wishlist items it’s because theyre all categorized the same way in my head and there is so much i wanna do with current n too that it just makes more sense to have these be in one big post
