Darkknightmon (at least in the Xros Wars manga, idk his show version) is like genuinely one of the most like uncomfortable characters (in terms of like well written characters) in all of Digimon to me but it’s one of those things where despite how skin crawling he is I can’t get myself to like genuinely hate the guy since part of why he’s uncomfortable to witness is from this sense of secondhand embarrassment due to all of his violently self destructive actions and it just. leaves me at the end of it all feeling deeply bad / deeply bad for him

#digimon #dinu yells in the void #dinu yells into the void #darkknightmon #i don’t remember what my liveblogging tag re the manga was. rip #anyways every so often i think about xros wars manga dkm and i am like #overcome with despair #imagine spending your entire life believing you are innately evil because your brother used you as a test subject to prove to himself #that all beings were inherently evil and flawed #and you destroy yourself because of this. and this desire to just hurt him as much as he hurt you #and then he dies. he died to protect you. and his last wish in the world is to ask you to live a different life. because maybe he was wrong #maybe he judged a bit too quickly.#it makes me SICK #he reminds me too much of like genuine really bad mental health meltdowns ive seen ppl have esp those close to me #so i have to like have compassion for him. even if he sucks so so so fucking bad #i need to reread so bad. itd fix me
