Daniel "Oz" Osbourne was introduced in BTVS during season 2. He was a love interest of the character Willow. Oz is quiet, calm, ironic, and a guitarist in a sunnydale based rock band called "Dingoes Ate my Baby".

I have always felt a connection to Oz, Its not quite gender envy, but more like gender kinship. I'm not sure it it's his wardrobe, height, or character arcs, but he sure does have some T-boy Swag!

In the 15th episode of season 2, Oz is attacked and infected by a werewolf. Personally, I know many Transmasculine folks who feel a connection to werewolves. I may feel more connected to vamirism, but I do understand the appeal of transgender werewolves. There are many parallels, such as the idea of physical/emotional transformation. There is also the idea of werewolves being man-like, part man part wolf. This speaks to the feeling of otherness and in-betweenness that we often feel. Oz also is tasked with hiding his Werewolf identity, which parallels him hiding his trans identity (In my HC).

OZ's primary romantic interest, Willow, comes out as Queer after the two break up. While (Obviously) dating a trans verson does not turn vou gay, I could imagine how dating Oz may have been Willow's first close connection to a Queer/trans person, which may have allowed her to see joy and a future in queerness. Also~ I like to head-cannon Oz as a He/him, male-passing Butch Lesbian (which would make this an even stronger scenario) but maybe that is just because I love Oz and want our lived experiences to be as close as possible.

What are some of your favorite headcanons of "they should have been fat"? Like, characters you super duper view or hc as fat but they're not in canon, so seeing canon or fanart of them is shocking. It could be complete headcanon or ones with actual reasons where the characters are "fat-coded"! (I feel like that sounds really silly to say but I do genuinely think it's a thing)

It can be hard for me to figure out who falls under this and it isn't just indulgent "I kin them/in my kin canon they were fat" but I realize now that it doesn't actually matter which is which XD—and also this is distinctly different from "I headcanon them to gain weight/become fat as canon progresses or post canon". (But what I mean moreso is like a character that you just SO strongly view as fat that them being not fat is practically shocking.)

Like, I headcanon Mondo to get more chubbier muscular as he gets older and heals as a person and has a much more bear like (but definitely super strong) physique than when he was younger, which is different than for example, Makoto, who I headcanon to just be fat as is without any progression of time.

Azure made a post of a few of his (and well mine too) headcanons like this but it's super limited because it's just 3 x 3 and I know we both share more strongly believed fat headcanons than that including within just one series!

Definitely two of my biggest headcanons like this are Bianca from Pokémon and Usagi from Sailor Moon. I dunno why but Bianca just looks almost chubby in some art? And she just FEELS chubby to me... She is a fat trans girl to me!!! Usagi also is to the point where I'd say she just is fat-coded because it seems like the viewer is supposed to see her as fat because other people do and she often diets or has a very fat relationship with the world, but she's just not depicted as fat because like...either it's all in her head or it's just...animanga has a fatphobia problem

I've been thinking about all this because of Azure's post and it definitely makes me want to make a "bingo" of characters where they're fat. To me.

I agree with the ones you mentioned!! Usagi is absolutely fat to me and always will be and I love her for it :3 and Bianca I never thought of but absolutely as well she totally is to me!!

Some I can think of is Rosalina, Shadow the Hedgehog, Ness, Ninten, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Hatsune Miku, Lum from Urusei Yatsura, Mami Tomoe, Isabelle from AC, those are some that come to mind ^w^

Characters who are kintypes of mine I also would say a lot of them are fat, such as Galacta Knight (he’s a borb but like, particularly just is FAT to me ya know..), Sonic the hedgehog, Sora from KH, Derpy Hooves, Applebloom, some Link iterations from LoZ, Mae Borowski, Madoka Kaname, Ryoga Hibiki, you get the idea but those are some I can say XD

Another category I can think of is characters who were fat but kinda slimmed down for some ungodly reason :/ that are fat to ME no matter the canon! Like Glimmer from spop, from Willow from TOH, and Mario (a kintype of mine but fits this category). I’m sure there is more but I just hate how common this is to me 😔

Headcanons for Vee!

-theyre nonbinary! They use she/they

-she told her camp friends to start calling her vee and they did without question thinking it was for trans reasons and that luz was her deadname

-bc she is now another luz sibling she goes by and is offically vee noceda <3

-bc she doesnt have to mimic luz anymore and is learning to express herself i think shed have some of her actual demon self shine through a bit, like growing out the front/side hair (like what beta luz has) and dying the ends blue

-i think bc she has to camo and hide eyes her human eyes r weaker so theyd wear glasses, probably like bigger round ones

-VITILIGO!! They dont eat as much magic bc she doesnt have to completely camo as luz (as said before) so their original skin comes thru a bit so they have patches of discolor (its so pretty)

-theyre ace pan. They have no interest in (specifically) human (or honestly general) reproduction, but i think now that theyre out and free theyd be so in awe and in love with everyone because humans are so cool and unique regardless of gender.

-i think their type would be someone whos really sweet to them but then like really strong and could protect them or yell at people for them (someone like willow 👀)

-she sings good!!

-i know people are calling her and luz twins but i think shes more like a younger sister who luz is protective of

I know things are absolutely shit in the tags rn. I know that we might possibly lose (we still got 5 days so maybe we can turn it around) but I need to make things clear. This is a long post so bear with me.

Yes I like Alphyne. They were my first queer ship ever. I remember seeing the cheek kiss in the end credits and being so happy for them.

Speaking this as someone who was, and is still a little bit of an Undertale fan.

Y'all really can do better. Reading the tags is so infuriating as there's so musch hate from y'all. I have never in my life seen this much salt and toxicity. And I know the controversies that have happened within the fandom. I thought you guys learned something from them but apparently not.

I'll address some of the hate.

No, Huntlow isn't just a straight ship being tossed at the lesbians (for Christs sake, Alphys is bisexual y'all, it was confirmed in game with the fact she had a crush on Asgore. Get it right.) A massive portion of us HC them as bi, some HC Hunter as trans, there's loads of us who think that Willow is pan, there's some out here who HC them to be a-spec. I know the explicit cannon confirmation isn't there yet, but if you looked, you would know. To us, it's not hetero.

Not it isn't ablelist. Hunter literally cannot do magic by himself, it's part of his arc. He stated it in the third episode he appeared in S2E6. (Spoilers: I know he has magic as of S3E2 but it's not close to what the Boiling Isles "magic" is. He can't cast any spell circles, like how everyone else does) I also saw someone talk about how the "half-a-witch, makes a whole" is also ablelist. My guy, those are parallels in their respective arcs oh my god.

About people calling it a rushed ship and stuff similar to it, no it wasn't going to be if Disney didn't shorten it so hard that we literally have 3 episodes for the final season. There is art about those two from the crew that they've been holding onto for 2 YEARS. Dana has also stated that she's also had some art, but hasn't releases it yet. Meaning that if we weren't shortened, we could have had time. Development. An actual buildup similar to Lumity and Raeda! But no we only have an EPISODE LEFT OF THE SHOW. How can we possibly fit something in for them while wrapping up the plot?!

I've seen someone say vote for Alphyne instead of the other ship cuz it sucks, and then in the next fucking tag say they've never even watched the show. What?

And just because they're not seen as queer representation doesn't mean you can't shit on the physical representation. A chubby Asian gal with two dads, self esteem issues and was bullied. A teen with cult trauma and was abused, and has the scars to show. So many people find themselves in these characters. I do so too.

luz - bi (i mean it's canon so) and gnc

amity - lesbian (again, canon)

eda - bi (pretty much canon also)

raine - non-binary (canon again) and hmm either bi or pan i'd say

hunter - personally see him as gay + also him being a trans guy is a neat popular hc (eventually could also see him as ace/aroace too) (either way there's just like no way this boy's cishet c'mon)

willow - i like the hc of her being a lesbian

gus - bi, maybe?

ed and em - they're both bi and at least one of them is trans

lilith - hmmm honestly not sure? maybe a lesbian, or additionally also aro and/or ace??

Marcy I see as being non binary they/she and bisexual, and Sasha is canonically bi, but I see sasha as genderfluid (she/he) sprig and ivy I see as bi and trans, Darcy as aroace and non binary (they/them) barrel, Leif and andrias, as bisexuals, Leif also being trans, Olivia and yunan as lesbians, dr Jan as a non binary bisexual (she/they), and grime as gay.

CANON DIVERGENT SHADOW YOUNG | WILLOW YANG

Some Headcanons (more like 13+ paragraphs of THE REWRITTEN STORY): 

(Season 1)

› Shadow was created by Chase to be the sort of perfect lackey after recognizing the disappointment of outside apprentices, a child born of dark magic and his own blood. A literal shadow for Chase, if you will. But the fact of the matter is, her potential is far greater, as her magic runs deeper and is entwined far greater with her essence. Chase keeps her in check through a talisman that binds her magic to his control.

› Despite being essentially a clone of Chase, her development was incredibly fast paced and she is born with the draconic qualities Chase adopted later in life, giving her an unnaturally greenish pallor and a serpentine disposition. Due to the speed at which she aged, she is typically more gaunt than Chase, as she burned calories faster than she could get them. › Shadow infiltrates the temple in disguise as Willow (also: Weilu), the Dragon of Metal, a sheltered girl from the valley who has spent most of her life caring for her aging parents (she says they live in the city now, and it’s f i n e, but her excuses to see Chase are always ‘I have to visit my parents’). She spends much more time there than in XC, becoming closer to the monks and struggling with her loyalties as they treat her like family and Chase treats her only as well as he treats obedient pawns (a distinct lack of interest in her growing knowledge of the outside world and ever annoyed of her distractability). 

› When Chase begins to recognize her waning allegiance, he tries to manipulate her, to tell her that the monks will reject her for who she is, for what she has done (Shadow has been used for many evil tasks, and she is very morally gray, not regretting them as much as she fears the judgement of her good friends) and for what she is. But when Shadow finally turns against him (or so, he perceives her lack of obedience as such, she may have never been truly willing to leave knowing he could do what he did next), he merely uses her magic to turn her against the monks, using her as a magic puppet. In the struggle for control, she breaks the talisman. Never having control of her own magic, the loss of structure turns her into a dragon and she runs away.

(Season 2)

›  Shadow escapes to Jack Spicer, a man who she knows is not of any real threat to her. Jack is surprised, but not unwilling to protect her, as she tries to take control of her magic and continues to struggle with her allegiance. Jack gets pretty attached to her, sympathetic to her feelings of rejection and need for isolation. He does his best to help her and in return, she began to lose some of the thorns she often had towards him, as he picked up where the monks had left off with introducing her to the modern world. Which makes it sting all the more, when the monks come for her. 

› She does learn to control her dragon form and she can shift between forms without the Lao Mang Long soup, but it is difficult. It can be easy to shift when angry and difficult to shift back unless she feels safe.

› It’s Jermaine who is enlisted to get Willow back. Jermaine is the Dragon of Wood, trained by Master Monk Guan, to unlearn what Chase may have taught him in his short time as the mans apprentice and to have someone who understands what it is like to fall for Chases charms. Jack is incredibly protective and when Jermaine suggests he’s manipulating Willow himself, Shadow comes to his defense. 

› She tries to convince them that she’s a monster, not Good and better off with Evil. It’s what she was Made for. Even Jack had reservations to such a decision, he had tried to convince her to carve her own path, to live for herself, but also hadn’t minded the idea of her sticking around. Shadows fears that the monks would be suspicious of her, fear her, or perhaps, she fears herself and what she could become. Jermaine tries to tell her that Master Monk Guan would be able to tell, that together at their temple they could help her thrive, and the transition is not a smooth one (taking likely more than one conversation, i could even see a fight breaking out as Shadow tries to scare him off), but eventually, Shadow is convinced. She slowly makes her leave of Jacks lair, leaving him with a final hug and he’s upset, but wishes her the best and says he’ll kick her butt if she shows up again. She knows he means well, and tells him he can try.

›  She takes a while to reconnect with the monks. Jermaine tells them she needs some distance. She doesn’t ever turn back into her Willow form, as it was always just a mask, and has to learn being comfortable in who she is (though she presents far more comfortably, thus differentiating herself further from being Chases clone). But after a while, the monks are invited to MMGs temple, and they find her laughing with Jermaine, dressed comfortably and trying to copy his dance moves, and after a beat of laughter halting and silence, she’s moved to tears when they eagerly accept her back into their easy friendship. 

[okay now that was mostly me writing the story here’s actual hcs] › Shadow is trans and nonbinary. As Shadow can look very similar to Chase, she’s definitely been able to pass as a younger, gaunter version of him. She doesn’t really get gender politics and is more invested in her own comfort than anyone elses’ approval. Chase just uses they/them for Shadow usually (as I hc him as agender w/ he/they pronouns), and Willow uses she/her to differentiate herself from him.

› When Willow joins the monks, she dressed pretty delicately. Billowy dresses,  and open sandals. But Kimiko is quick to recognize that Willow cannot sit in a skirt and is almost always cold. She takes it upon herself to help Willow be more comfortable, and it’s a quick switch to t-shirts, flannels and combat boots for this dragon! When she stays with Jack, she picks up painting her nails and wearing leather bracelets, as they feel grounding and familiar to the talisman she always wore (but with the upside that she can take them off as she pleases). 

›  Willow isn’t sure what she wants to be called after she rejoins the monks. So she just lets them keep calling her Willow, though she does occasionally feel a bit more ‘Shadow’ at times, whatever that means (usually when she’s being mischievous). Jack calls her Slim Shady. Chase still calls her Shadow. 

›   Shadows natural shapeshifting is three fold. She can turn into a dragon, she can turn into a shadow, and she can chameleon her colors. The Willow form was much of Chases control, she isn’t quite sure how he managed to shapeshift her features so fully. It was likely another magic placed over her. 

›   IN THIS CANON WE GET CUTE  HINTED SHAMIKO (mostly willow crushing hard on kimiko cause she’s so damn nice to her season-1ish and not knowing how to act on it), SHACK (mostly sweet platonic hurt/comfort) AND JERMILLOW (jERMAINE IS A GENTLEMAN AND SHADOW IS DEEPLY AFFECTIONATE FOR HIM).

›  But on that note, Willow ain’t ever used as a seductress in the heckin temple. She’s instead played off more as the completely nonthreatening sort, a bit of a hapless damsel who can barely control her powers (mostly because they’re being blocked) but incredibly promising martial art skills (she really has to force the lack of understanding and slip ups, because she has been training since she was born). Much like Omi, she was sheltered and doesn’t understand a lot of modern things, tends to be quiet and seems solemnly distracted much of the time, and the monks are more protective of her than anything else. As she opens up, they’re more proud of her than anything else, though maybe Kimiko and Clay who spend the most time with her may feel something (if you don’t subscribe to the gay/ace clay hc i love).

W13 1x11 “Nevermore”

So @warehouse13pod released their podcast on “Nevermore” and it FULLY got me back into the trans Myka headcannoning. I got so into everything all over again that I rewatched the episode yesterday. That whole thing is gold and I’m just gonna make a list. Anyone is free to add to it, or send in their own opinions if they wish to remain anonymous.

*Trigger warning that at least one HC refers to eating disorders. This one will be in italics in case you wish to skip it, since the references are in order of appearance on the show.

Warren’s use of the word “kiddo”

We could take this as Warren merely thinking of Myka as his forever child (as many parents tend to do). But what I latched onto is the fact that it’s genderless. He can use it in a way that might annoy Myka (she’s definitely an adult who wouldn’t appreciate it that much, especially with how strained their relationship is already), but not offend her.

It’s also way to keep her gender identity at a distance. Like he doesn’t have to acknowledge her as a woman, just as his child.

When Warren brings up that Myka has “starved [her] hunger nerve”

I see it as a call to her past. With how Myka described her household as a place with “the tough dad and scared kids” I find it very plausible that she developed an eating disorder. To an extent, she still struggles with it as an adult and the ingestion of sugar.

Her mother calls both her and Pete guests.

This, for me, is odd. If her parents had moved, I would understand it more, but this is the place Myka grew up. To be a guest in her previous home makes me think that she wasn’t very comfortable there and it was very apparent to everyone involved.

Myka mentions a force of habit to lie to her parents.

Most people have lied to their parents at some point or another. With Myka being trans and having unaccepting parents, the lies would probably increase, becoming a force of habit to keep herself emotionally (and possibly physically) safe.

This dialogue--

Warren: If you’d been a boy I’d’a called you Sue. (something about Johnny Cash and how it’d make them tough)

Myka: Well, I’m sorry I wasn’t a boy.

Warren: I’m sorry I wasn’t a father.

Jean: He has regrets.

Myka: about me?

Jean: Yes. About his life.

Myka has clearly avoided her parents as much as possible in her adult life. Not knowing how to fix it, they just left her alone, even though (as Warren said) they have regrets about how they parented and treated her.

Honestly, I think he’s a tad delirious when quoting Johnny Cash and a bit more lucid with his confession.

I’ve talked about this a bit here, but I really do see Warren’s revisions of his original novel as a coping mechanism.

When he first started writing it, it was for him. He considered publishing it, but realized he couldn’t let it go quite yet. So he decided he’d edit it for awhile.

Then, as Myka came to terms with her gender and started to come out, his book twisted into something that now, he deeply regrets ever having written. That version was burned.

When Myka pulled away emotionally and eventually moved away physically, Warren started to realized he’d been wrong to treat her in such a manner. The revisions of his book took all kinds of turns, until he finally settled on the one Myka read aloud to him. By that point though, he was exhausted. Exhausted by the book due to the emotional toll it had taken on him, so he told his wife to burn it and never looked back.

It wasn’t until Myka read it to him, that he realized it might’ve brought them closer if he’d apologized by showing her what he’d written. As words and prose are known language between them.
