I just wanna gush bc omg I love the 666 series so much. I think it made me realize I might be... furry-ish? adjacent? I just find it so satisfying how you go into detail about the unique body features of both of them, the way it feels to have deer ears or kiss a TV and just generally how much thought is put into the way their bodies work, and I've realized that my interest in that kind of idea is a pretty good reason to partake in more explicitly furry media lmao. Anyways

I'm also really in love with how you maintain the balance of each of their personality traits. Vox is simultaneously so pathetic and cringefail (also your dialogue for him is perfect, I can hear it crystal clear in my head) but also he has vastly more emotional intelligence than Alastor, no doubt at least in part because he has to deal with Val, and he's able to marginally calm down with his obsession to deal with sticky situations, but even then he still retains his personality and bumbles things sometimes because of the flaws in said personality! It's great. I also really appreciate the balance you've struck with Alastor, I feel like often Alastor is either written to either soften up so immediately that it feels disconnected from his character or is written overly mean and heartless for my liking and the way you've written him is such a delicious balance between softer aspects such as the prey instincts or moments of vulnerability and his untouchable and manipulative self, and also the way this side of him is neither written as wholly a front or wholly his real nature and the complex ways this makes him struggle with his increasing vulnerability. TL;DR arghgr your characterization is so good it makes me go a little feral

Also while I'm here, I'm curious whether you can give an answer to the degree to which Alastor is touch-averse. There's obviously a lot of ways in which he fundamentally dislikes touch but it also seems like there's at least some kinds of touch where he doesn't dislike the touch itself so much as he's afraid of the way it brings about feelings of caring and/or enjoyment being cared for. I'm curious how much, in general, you would say his touch aversion comes from either cause and possibly what kinds of touch do/don't provoke those flavors of aversion

And ahaha - I'm not a furry but I fucking love inhuman characters. Being raised in the pits of Homestuck fantroll RP made me enjoy the whole "they're bug/fish aliens" thing and it definitely rears its head again any time I encounter characters with inhuman qualities. I love writing Vox's TV/computer-ness and Alastor's deer and radio bits, and integrating them into who they now are as people.

As for Alastor's touch-aversion: It's funny that you ask about this, because the next chapter of 666 is going to dive into it a bit. Specifically into the fact that it's not, like, a set of boundaries that is consistently defined, and I write him that way on purpose. The very first time he and Vox sleep together, Alastor bottoms. He becomes significantly less amenable to touch after he goes through an uncomfortable rut cycle that gets sexual. By the time Vox convinces Alastor to fuck him, Alastor would never let Vox do that again and frankly only agrees to topping because Vox gave him an option that didn't involve getting his dick out. Then in the next episode, they're having clothes-off sexual contact. So, what gives?

Things that play into Alastor's willingness to touch and be touched as far as Vox is concerned:

How does he see Vox at that point in time? Disgustingly entitled (ew)? Hilariously beneath him (haha who cares)?

Does he care about what Vox thinks of him? Does Vox touching him draw his attention to positive or negative assumptions he has about Vox's perspective on doing so?

What value has he attached to this particular touch in the power balance of their relationship? Is he humoring Vox? Does he assume Vox thinks he's owed this? Does he perceive it as something Vox is genuinely doing for him?

Has he tried this particular kind of touch before? He's pretty willing to experiment, but that doesn't mean he'll do something twice without a compelling reason if he didn't like it the first time.

Is he getting off on this situation sexually? If so, is it fully willing (read: not a byproduct of uncomfortable hormones) on his part? That only really happens when he's in a submissive role and Vox is hitting a few very specific kinks, a major one of which is basically CNC tilted 30 degrees to the left.

Is he enjoying the touch in platonic ways? How does he feel about that? Is it a vulnerability to want something? Is it feeding his ego to be catered to? Is he worried that what he enjoys platonically is being read into in ways he doesn't like?

Is he fucking drunk? Things that bother you when sober often seem like a non-issue when you're not, both on a physical and emotional level.

How much touching has been happening recently? Has he hit his limit? Did he deliberately put himself into a situation earlier to have his limit be hit and surpassed, and now he's in the aftermath?

He does have a certain fundamental purely physical dislike of touch, but it's something that is really affected by how he perceives each individual situation as well as his relationship with Vox at that time, and his previous experiences!

Quick fandom etiquette psa, bc I keep seeing young ones do this, and occasionally people whom should be old enough to know better:

"This character only *thinks* they're ___" "Is it just me or is this character NOT ___?" "Character will never be a ___" "I don't care what character says, they will always be ___"

These type of statements create a toxic and hostile environment towards anyone who isn't you, and that's not ok. It's not cute, you're being a passive aggressive bully, and need to understand that.

If you don't like how a certain character is often portrayed, feel they're pigeonholed, or just have an alternative interpretation, that's completely fine. But what *isn't* fine, is sneering about it and inviting people to bash on it in public.

Again, that is not you being a silly jokester, it is *known* fanbrat behavior intended to shut people down and make them feel less welcome. Be mature about expressing your dislike of something - especially when the thing you dislike *is other people's work in the same space as you.*

This type of language is most prevalent in shipwars and top/bottom discourse(or other things people use as proxy's for masculinity/feminity like dominant/submissive). In fact they're probably *most* commonly aimed at characters someone resents being portrayed as a top ime, which. Honey you're not being slick about your discomfort with men you see as effeminate in masculine roles. If you have that problem in queer fiction especially, you are being the oldest kind of homophobic.

Many people in fandom see themselves in characters, and often interpret them based on their own characteristics, and I highly doubt you're so naive you don't realize that. So you should know that when you casually invite slamming interpretations of a certain character, especially around sexuality or using things so closely tied to gender roles, you're sending out a very obvious and nasty message to other people in the community.

It's snotty and childish, and I don't care how old you are - if you're engaging in this type of behavior, you're too immature to be here. Go sit in time out until you're ready to play nice and be in a collaborative artistic space with others.

But I understand what you mean. I also have too many things I care about to leave space for sex lol specially my writing and drawing. I also have the problem that I enjoy writing and drawing romance (and sex 😳) and what I like about it it's that I have complete control and can create exactly what I want. Which is funny because the romance genre it's my least favorite out of them all. But the reason I dislike it it's because I can only enjoy romance if it goes exactly how I want. And most romance series/movies usually fuck it up in some way to me lol specially series since they're much longer and usually need drama and misunderstandings to keep it going, and the LAST thing I want are problems in my fantasy romance.

My sister wanted to watch this period drama romance with me and I was so tired at points with how the characters behaved like so much could be avoided if these idiots just talked or used common sense. Sexuality Headcanon: once upon a time, a young Geralt fancied himself strictly as a woman’s man, and that his same sex dalliances w other witchers were simply bc of lonely nights in Kaer Morhen. Until he left KM and found himself not averse to bedding women and men alike. Life is full of surprises and sometimes they are children, sometimes the discovery that cock is prettty good. And since life as a witcher is Toil and Labour, he wasn’t about to over-complicate smth he personally had no objections with just because some rando noble might be uncomfortable. Quite the useful attitude for a witcher living on the outskirts of civilisation, so that worked out for him.

This is just my hc for a TW3 timeline with overt homophobia, based on the encounter with Mislav. Because CDPR have proven themselves cowards by not showing a single dick in the entirety of the games and therefore cannot be 100% trusted with canon, I like to also imagine another where homophobia is less prominent (and non-existent in most regions) where geralt is…exactly the same. no fucks given except for in bed ;)

Gender Headcanon: a cis man, and pragmatic and doesn’t give a hoot if prudes shake their heads at his gender non-conforming habits. if a warm, comfy article of clothing in his possession happens to be a dress, it’s being worn, and how majestic. he knows how to braid hair, bc it doesn’t hurt to know how. Bonus: kid!Ciri adored him for it. Besides, gender-coding things sounds like an Other People kinda problem, and he is but a simple witcher with potions to brew and blades to oil, so…

A ship I have with said character: Geralt/Emhyr is my current obsession💖 Geralt/Regis and Geralt/Dettlaff are two close faves. All simultaneously within the same timeline bc my blorbos love to share

A BROTP I have with said character: a begrudging understanding between Geralt and Mererid, whose dislike of Geralt rose exponentially when he heard of Emhyr taking on Geralt as a lover. But Geralt worked some magic (read: really good sex and perhaps some axii for the nerves) to make emhyr’s mood do a 180 or maybe just a 90, he’s still a grump sometimes

and mererid was like, ‘you. you can stay.’

A NOTP I have with said character: none particularly? m8 if I encounter a ‘squick’ ship (think themes of incest for example) that’s also well-crafted, count me in for eating the dead dove

Random headcanons:

The only time he seriously reassessed his sex life was: 1) after falling for Regis, and even then it was more bc of the mental image of Papa Vesemir scolding him that he was meant to fight, not fuck this creature, and 2) falling for Emhyr, but then he seriously contemplated many other things too…

Like I get flanderization in fandoms, especially when there is no new material, and fans are playing so much with fanons, they kinda get lost in it too much, so they forget the canon and strip off the characters of some of their traits!

Like, 'I like this one trait/I want to explore this trait more', this is liked by many, it gets explored some more and in the end people forget that it wasn't the only trait and it wasn't even that prevalent in the first place. Like Donnie's touch aversion. Some wanted to explore it, cause autism and all that and that's fair. But after some point people forget that he is aversed like 10% of the time. Which is NOT a lot, not the way people write him 'he is in a good mood so he bares his brothers touching him for a few seconds' =/

I won't say other versions didn't explore turtles characters cause I don't remember much xD I just know the basic characterisations. And I LOVE Rises spin on them!! Raph is still hot headed and angry, but he also directs it into aggressive protection and it feels REALLY nice, not just 'I am angry cause I am' xD Like I am sure other versions are protective too, they suppose to care, but I dunno, I don't remeeember if it was explained as well as with Rise Raph x) I like Rise Leo even more cause he is much more different from other versions while still having his core characteristics, like he is smart and observant and strategic, that's so cool!!! Kira’s frequent mistreatment makes me sad because he’s a very interesting and complex character with SO much to explore in regards to his upbringing and trauma and how that affects his character in the present and going forward, but a lot of people tend to portray him as a very one note crAaAaAzy villain and sexualize him to some of the worst degrees just because of his character design. It’s really unfortunate because there’s so much to love about him but it is a minefield trying to find anything for him

4. I’m not gonna blame people for misunderstanding and mistreating the garcias bc the show doesn’t even respect them but I’m still gonna be upset about it. I could go on and on about why the garcias were so poorly handled but like, when you think about their characters a little harder, you can really easily understand them from a more sympathetic view and how not only their environment but the way they were treated and used by the adults around them shaped how they behave throughout the series and like. Again, not blaming anyone for disliking them or seeing them solely as static villains bc they are not well written at all but I do wish people would give them a little more nuance, yk? I’ve taken the liberty of taking sole custody over them bc I could treat them so much better than the show, so I might be on of the only people who really sees this perspective just bc of how much I’ve diluted myself with my own noncanon analysis but yk.

I’m gonna go ahead and lump kyomado together because while I do think people don’t treat them with the nuance they deserve on their own, it is 10x worse when it comes to people shipping them specifically. And that makes me especially mad because kyomado was one of my first ships in any fandom and I still really like them together, but Jesus Christ people take them in the worst direction possible. It’s always so stereotypical with Kyoya being the cool hot closed off and aggressive one and Madoka being sweet and kind and submissive to him and it’s like. No!!! NO‼️‼️💥💥💥💥💥 They’re characters are so interesting together in my eyes because they’re relationship is built on mutual respect and ability to stand up to each other. Yes Madoka can be sweet and caring to him, but she is in no way submissive and is readily able to challenge him and call out his bullshit. Yes Kyoya can be cold and aggressive but he is not some abusive shitty YA male lead, he’s an angsty teen who genuinely recognizes Madoka’s abilities and respects her. I think you could make a similar argument for how people treat him with Hikaru as well but I personally find it far worse with Madoka, which makes me so sad bc I love this ship but hate a lot of the shippers and content for it :(

2. Gingka i dont think is as prevalent today, but I have seen the horrors and my god are they rough. The woobification of Gingka Hagane is an actual crime and should be treated as such. Im not even that big a Gingka stan or anything but I become fucking enraged whenever I see him portrayed as some soft and submissive uwu boy because there is so much more complexity and depth to his character and yaoifying him does that such a disservice. Idfk what show they were watching because in no universe is Gingka some sweet and innocent soft boy.

okay so in honor of pride month, i have something i wanna get off my chest for real. sorry if this is super long

I have a tendency to go outside of tumblr spaces when looking at glee content — something i frequently regret. but in my time in those spaces, i often the most delusional take ever. it is basically, “kurt was always kinda pushy towards finn. so did he actually DESERVE to be called a slur??? 🤔🤔🤔 let’s discuss.” this shit boils my blood to no end and while it’s obvious why, i feel the incessant need to defend my boy kurt at all costs.

for one, he wasn’t any more pushy than any other character in the show. i mean for god’s sake, rachel quite literally THREW herself at finn as early as the first episode and i guess that’s fine??? what kurt did was virtually no different bc all the characters do weird, out of pocket shit throughout the show. it really only bothered finn bc kurt is a boy and finn is OVERLY bothered by the prospect of a boy having a crush on him. (more specifically that its kurt — he just simply dislikes kurt being attracted potentially straight guys. thats why he took so much issue to kurt singing with sam. it’s always been about his personal issues with kurt)

moving on to the actual scene in question, so much of what flop accused kurt of was grossly unfair to him. like he says something along the lines of “im scared to even take a shower when youre around,” implying that kurt is some ‘predatory gay’. which is ironic, bc we learn from kurt himself that he never showered after gym JUST to avoid be labelled as something like that. at no point did kurt’s advances move towards remotely ANYTHING sexual in nature, finn just instead assumed that of him

finally, i do believe that flop WANTED to call kurt a slur. he knew that kurt wouldnt call him out for it and you can tell from his tone that that had been building up inside of him for awhile. he wanted something that would push kurt away/scare him. he just went for the cruelest method possible in the moment.

Sexuality Headcanon: either aro or gay. headcanoning him as not attracted to women is the only way i can get any enjoyment out of the clusterfuck that is the harumota plotline, because at least it makes the scene where maki confesses and he says "...good for you, off to die now!" extremely funny.

A ship I have with said character: i've grown fond of oumota if only bc those fics tend to have really good kokichi characterization. him n gonta are the embodiment of the "i lied, i don't actually like sex, now put your pants back on and let me infodump for three hours" meme and i love that for them. but most of all i like the idea of him and rantaro in a qpr postgame. i think those two would get a lot from just...existing quietly in each other's space, slowing becoming the center of the other's life. i should write a fic about that...

A BROTP I have with said character: him and shuichi are sooo unhealthy and that's what makes them so interesting to me. i think about them postgame a lot...about shuichi trying to support kaito the way he was supported, and about kaito fighting against it. it's hard not to slip into old patterns, but i think they could do it.

General Opinion over said character: ehhh...mixed. he’s a very good and complex character but he’s also a raging homophobe in the og japanese, yknow? it’s difficult for me to have super positive feelings on a character who calls people homophobic slurs and is treated as right for doing so by the narrative, no matter how deep and complex they are and how many cute gay headcanons i have. maybe that’s more of a flaw with v3 than a flaw with kaito, though.

A BROTP I have with said character: the survivor trio makes me very soft,,,they deserve a very long nap together under the softest warmest blankets mankind can acquire. i have a pin of the scene of gonta giving her a piggy back ride because i am not immune to the ancient fandom dynamic of Tol and Smol. i enjoy thinking about the tension she’d have with angie postgame, even if that doesn’t quite count as a friendship. and platonic oumeno is always 👌, their scenes in ch3 are so good.

General Opinion over said character: i love her so mucjh,,,,she was the most relatable character in v3 to me. her relating everything that happens to her through the lens of her childish interests punched me right in the gut :’). her *choosing* to combat her natural fatigue and depression in order to live a better life because she won’t get another chance was so moving. wish she had a better outfit tho.

Listen, some facts: They call it mindblowing. Even one that disliked it (which I suspect to be because of bias against Larys/foot fetish, which, yeah sure whatever) said they came around to it. They made it sound as if they did it regularly. If it was coercive/abusive, you better believe that at this point the leaks would have talked about it, but NO!! It’s consensual!! We were are really scared that the scene will be 1) bad, 2) abusive, but it seems like we’re in the clear, and it’s Clare directing the episode!! WOO!! You want them to keep chaste? I’m all for it yesss yes!! They did not need to do this, but they did. I’m asexual, turn 20 in a few months, and it took me a long time to grow comfortable with sexuality at all. I’m still a virgin and have no envy whatsoever to change that. There was a time when I was extremely sex negative, but that’s a shitty thing to be when it affects how you act with other people, I grew the fuck up out of my righteous disapproving disgust. But you see the problem is that it’s not because I like chaste ships that I dunk onto horny ships. I don’t ship larycent for the smut, but I embrace the smut, because I am a mature adult that do not wish to take away the complexities of sexuality from these characters. Which, both undoubtedly have complicated relationships to sex.

Alicent has been devoted to the rules of her time, so she committed no adultery nor cheating, and she was a virgin when she married Viserys. That means her experience with sex is very narrow, and very bad. From what we have seen of it, she is not attracted to him (which, there’s something to say about her only partner being unhealthy as all hell, almost decaying, without it being her choice ofc), she does not feel pleasure during it, she dissociates during it. With how she didn’t want to go and everything, it’s marital rape. Alicent’s experience with sex has been bad marital rape. And she considered it her duty. That is that. At least as far as we know. And we know she is against sexual freedom in general.

Alicole also puts a lot of care in the sexual dynamic of their ship, and larycent is no different. Alicent is a character with a lot of sexual trauma, unavoidably. The scope of sexual things she’s comfortable with is probably narrow, and I’d bet that pp in vag missionary is not included in that. Yeah, a sexually traumatized person can choose to simply live the rest of their life chaste, but what if they don’t want that? What if they wanted to explore their sexuality now that they could, in comfort and safety? What if the unconventional sex is part of that healing journey? What if it’s about being in control of it for once, for her? What if it’s freeing?

We don’t know much about Larys, but we know he feels as though he’s “never invited to speak” and presumably feels some resentment for the people around him, as with the fire of Harrenhal & Needham’s thoughts on it show. It’s likely he too, has never had a good relationship to sex. At the end of the day, kinks are a way irl people use and explore to deal with their sexual trauma and have fun, and I think it’s a bad thing to want to erase that fact. Y’all are valid. I support y’all.

Ok, the one thing that’s offputting to me at all about the cumfeet? The one thing? It took me a while to think of the link but, Larys has a clubfoot, and then he has a kink on feet…? Like I said it took me a while to realize the link, so if he just has a random feet kink I’m fine with it, good for him, but how he hates his foot so he fetishizes normal feet…? But I try to think that it’s a warped thing about Larys himself, especially since he does really hate his foot as we know from his death in the books, and not like, how the staff chose to portray/see disabled characters. Longing for not having a disability is normal and valid, but it’s important to be careful about sending messages when it’s media. But yeah, I choose to see it as it being Larys that has a big hang up on his disability and makes a lot about it that didn’t need to be, and it’s a commentary on yadayada and an edgy portrayal of a disabled vilain and, sure. So there ya go, I actually prefer to see it as a random harmless kink than one with deeper reason/meaning.

Why do feet have to be that deep? They’re a part of a body like any other, not unlike hands. It doesn’t have to be weird and filthy. Literally don’t make it weird and then it won’t be weird. But whatever, you don’t even need to accept the cumfeet to ship larycent tbh. Ignore the cumfeet, act as if it never happened, I’ll have your back.

It’s the ASOIAF world… Feet are literally one of the tamest kinks there could be. Would you have preferred idk, knife play? Humiliation kink? Bdsm?? The core of larycent isn’t cumfeet, it’s being seen and being valued.
