i think Jemima and Victoria's respective roles in the show are fine as is but I do think there's something to having Jemima touch Griz instead of Victoria. The whole thing with Victoria reaching for Griz is that no one stops her, signaling that the whole tribe now accepts Grizabella, so there's no real need for it to be Victoria specifically.

But notably Victoria does specifically go through a coming-of-age arc in the show; I doubt anyone in the history of Cats has ever really thought this but it's a perfectly valid interpretation of that moment to say 'Victoria can reach for Griz without being stopped because she's now considered an adult'. 98 in particular addresses this problem before it can arise by having Vicky get pulled away from Griz by Jelly right before Memory starts, but I cant remember off of the top of my head if all productions do that.

Tho if it can be anyone, you could argue that it'd be best having one of the kittens who isn't ambiguously considered an adult now to reach for Griz. Jemima, Electra, Etcetera. Hell, have Pounce/Tumble do it as a turnaround from when he scratches her earlier in the show.

While I adore the dynamic set, I think it was a bit incomplete/empty. There should have been some more things for the characters to sit on and stuff, as sometimes they just kinda awkwardly stand there, like in "Mr M" and "Bustopher Jones" when the moving stands are closed off. Or they are just not there, like how in the second half of the ball all the "singer" characters besides old D are just gone

I get why it was Vicky touching Griz and why old D got brought back the way he did, both do actually make sense, but I'm still bit annoyed by both for reasons XD

I should not have to make up a whole theory to make Jemima's bit in "Moments of happiness" work. Genuinely, the last line makes absolutely no sense unless we assume Griz initially only wanted to see Demeter and Old D, and decided to try and rejoin the tribe only after that song. And to assume that you gotta either think a lot or have the Warsaw book where it says she wanted to see them and then think about it. I would know cuz that line bothered me from the first moment I heard it 2 years ago, and this explanation came to me only recently

And last but not least, while I appreciate the existence of the fall 2007 run and all its photos, I hate how it's so visible in a bunch of the costumes that they either didn't care or didn't have the money since that run was just a 3-month filler before Phantom premiere. They also changed up some of the makeup looks to various degree (mostly eyebrows). I know it sounds really petty, but I will not forgive them how they butchered Yellow Jenny's make up. All of this is why prefer to not use 2007 photos as references, even tho for some characters there are the clearest/only ones there are.
