biggest gripe with Deadfire so far is that sometimes the dialogue options are super fun and varied, but then half the time when it matters the dialogue options are. Really Bad
#rn this is mostly me being salty about xoti#i dislike most of the companion quest convos with her because the game is giving you the absolute WORST dialogue options#if they can even be called options#just. no nuance allowed whatsoever#and half the time not even Being Nice To Her allowed without it being romantic advances smh#it absolutely makes sense that she wont just give up her entire faith and sense of purpose because the watcher told her to#but there is practically NO WAY to talk to her about anything in a way that matters#..okay rant over (for now) x'd#pillar posting#poe2#the other big gripe is that from how much Space the whole ship-related content takes up#bc it looks like a lot of resources were spent on that and like it's *supposed* to be a big part of the game#but in the end most of it is very trivial and unimportant#which is to say. they really shouldve put some of those resources into the main story and companions instead#(not saying *all* the writing is bad ofc; there is a LOT of good stuff. just. also some very glaring Issues that feel super jarring)#.......okay NOW im done complaining adgjfkajkfs
